Glenn Beck Invites Anti-Statue Activists to Tear This One Down

Glenn Beck issued a challenge to the extreme left’s statue warriors: tear down the single largest living monument to white supremacy – Planned Parenthood.

The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, spoke at a KKK rally, and was very active in the eugenics movement of the early 20th century. Black pastors recently demanded that her statue be removed from the Smithsonian Museum.

The pastors wrote the institute a letter explaining that Sanger was far from a champion for their race because of her strong ties to the eugenics movement. The black pastors, along with other pro-life advocates rallied outside the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery to demand the removal of the statue.

They say Sanger supported eugenics to rid the nation of those she deemed ‘defective’ and ‘feeble-minded’ by stopping the growth of their populations, particularly blacks and other minorities.

Their request was rejected.

But now, the brave warriors who take on everything inanimate have a target they could turn into a central cause. They could rally and protest that which seeks to oppress minorities “by stopping the growth of their populations.”

No good person could be in favor of what this group does. So if the extreme left needs something oppressive to which they can channel their anger, Beck’s suggestion should ring loud and clear.

“If you want to tear down racist monuments, you need to start with the living monument dedicated to white supremacy: Planned Parenthood.”

  1. This will not happen: that would retrofocus on the Democratic Party through their own affiliations to the KKK and the Dems are in control of the MSM. That would be to logical. We are dealing with mob rule here!

    1. Politifact? Really? I’ll use Margaret Sanger’s own words from her public writings to refute.

First, PolitiFact’s assertion that Sanger thought Eugenicists were just health nuts is not true. She understood it to match the Oxford English Dictionary definition. Here is her definition of the philosophy:

“Eugenists emphasize the mating of healthy couples for the conscious purpose of producing healthy children, the sterilization of the unfit to prevent their populating the world with their kind…” “Birth Control and Racial Betterment” – Margaret Sanger, 1919

Sanger promoted sterilization in several southern states. The sterilization of blacks in North Carolina began in 1933 but fell out of favor in the mid-1970’s. With the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, Sanger’s Planned Parenthood was well placed to fill the void.

Later in life, she seemed to shift her view on race, but in 1939, her Negro Project had a singular target – one that is shared by today’s Planned Parenthood.

“The de facto effect – I don’t call it the main cause, but net effect – of putting abortion clinics in the urban centers is that the abortion of Hispanic and Black babies is more than double their percentage of the population… Call this what you will — when the slaughter has an ethnic face and the percentages are double that of the white community and the killers are almost all white, something is going on here that ought to make the lovers of racial equality and racial harmony wake up.” – Pastor John Piper

      1. Well, no, very well done Rich….and back to your original article…maybe if we rid ourselves of some ‘living monuments, the historic ones will be safe.
