Five Officers Died That Day

Merrick Garland is the Attorney General of the United States. He is the head of the Justice Department charged with ensuring a safe and law-abiding society in this country. Merrick Garland was nominated for the United States Supreme Court by Barack Obama in 2016 but was never brought before the Senate for vetting and eventual confirmation. That is good for SCOTUS and the country because Merrick Garland is a liar. He has destroyed his credibility with his many lies to the American people that he should not even be nominated and confirmed for third-shift traffic court. Merrick Garland is a very dishonest man.

The sad thing about the performance of Merrick Garland is that he blends in with the others in this administration. Garland is overshadowed by Biden, Kamala Harris, Mayorkas, Yellen, and Buttigieg. The list goes on of people in this administration that are truth challenged. We expect more from the Attorney General, but Garland has destroyed that expectation. His stories about January 6th, the Southern Border, the weaponizing of the Justice Department against parents challenging school boards, his collusion with the restrictions, and misinformation about COVID are all indications of a lack of morality in this Attorney General.

But when he took to the microphone yesterday to address Tucker Carlson’s release of the March 6th tapes that had been suppressed by the Democrats, his ability to lie to the American people reached a new level of absurdity. He claimed that five Capitol Police Officers died on January 6th while protecting the Capitol, members of Congress, and their staff from the violent protestors who had breached the Capaitol’s line of security. This statement is a bald-faced lie, period.

Five Capitol officers died around the time of the January 6th breach of the Capitol. That part is actual, but here is the rest of the story. Brian Sicknick Died on January 7th, and though it was said he died of injuries inflicted by MAGA hoodlums, he in fact died after suffering two strokes on the 7th, and according to the medical examiner, had no injuries at the time of his death. Of course, the autopsy results came in long after Officer Sicknick’s body laid in state in the Capitol Rotunda. The other four officers committed suicide and had nothing to do with any activity in the Capitol building. How can the AG lie so easily when the facts are so well known?

The confidence in the government was already low, but the Biden Administration is working hard to lower the bar. From top to bottom, from Biden to Karine, the lies come fast and furious. The work the Republicans are doing legislatively is being overshadowed by the concurrent hearings that are highlighting the biggest failures of Biden’s first two years. It is like a three-ring circus with hearings on Afghanistan, COVID origin, the January 6th oversight, and the manipulation of the media by the FBI. It is difficult to take it all in, and it almost takes your attention away from Biden ignoring the day’s issues. But I am sure Karine will tell us how seriously the President takes all of these issues. He just doesn’t understand them.
