Biden blunders continue to destroy America

From the first day of his Presidency, Joe Biden has committed numerous blunders that are beginning to have a very negative impact on the welfare of America. Even though he has been president for only seven months, his poor decision-making has caused what is likely to be very long-term negative effects. It almost seems like he is trying to destroy the country.

His first blunder was with the border policy and illegal immigration. When President Trump was sworn into office in 2017, he inherited a border policy from the Obama/Biden administration that was problematic. The Obama/Biden policy resulted in 860,000 illegal immigrants being apprehended at the southern border in 2019.

During that year, Trump took action to keep the number down. Trump reversed the Obama/Biden catch and release program, forced illegals to remain in Mexico until they had a court date and negotiated with Mexico to stop illegals from entering Mexico through their southern border. H also constructed a border wall while making deals with Ecuador, Guatemala and Honduras to stop their citizens from leaving their countries.

In 2020, the number of illegal immigrants apprehended at the southern border was 220,000. That was the lowest number in decades.

Biden immediately reversed Trump’s policies. So far in 2021 more than 1.2 million illegals have entered the US through the southern border. That means in addition to the people who are truly seeking asylum, there are thousands of undesirables who will bring drugs and crime with them.

Biden’s immigration policy is a complete blunder.

On foreign policy, Biden’s blunders are worse. Even before the Afghanistan debacle his policies have emboldened our enemies. Russia, China,, North Korea and Iran have become more aggressive, sensing that Biden will do little, if anything, to stop their aggression.

His policies follow a long history of foreign policy mistakes, dating back more than 45 years. Biden opposed the successful 1991 Gulf War. He supported the 2003 Iraq war which led to US involvement for eight years. In 2011, Obama/Biden failed to negotiate a status of force agreement which led to the formation of ISIS. He also rejected the plan to kill Osama Bin Laden.

And now, his biggest foreign policy blunder is the poorly planned and poorly executed withdrawal from the war in Afghanistan. That blunder has resulted in Americans being killed, Americans being left behind after the withdrawal and the arming of an enemy. Biden left $85 billion worth of US military equipment behind when he ordered American soldiers to abandon the airport at Bagram.

That blunder will result in our worst enemies finding a safe haven from which they can launch terrorist attacks against Americans. In addition, since the world sees the powerful US military in retreat,, our enemies will be more inclined to strike the US and our allies will be less inclined to rely on US support.

Then there are the Biden economic policy blunders. Prior to the pandemic, the Trump Administration’s economic policies were extremely successful. The unemployment rate had reached a post World War II low of 3.5%. The tax rate had been cut for all Americans. Inflation was under 2% and the poverty rate had fallen to a decades low of nearly 10%. Income inequality had been reduced.

The US was energy independent resulting in low energy prices and the removal of any leverage our not-so-friendly, oil producing adversaries may have had on us. Biden has reversed that so he is now asking OPEC countries to increase oil output.

Biden set curing real or perceived social injustices as his primary economic policy goal. As a result, he believed that many Americans were still hurting economically from the pandemic. Even though economic growth was strong and the unemployment rate was tumbling, Biden decided more stimulus was needed.

He convinced Congress to give more free money to Americans. The result of that was excess demand in the economy which pulled prices up. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) has increased more than 4% since January 1, 2021. If nothing changes, the inflation rate, as measured by the CPI, will be in the 7% range for 2021.

In addition, he has added trillions to the public debt and is trying to add trillions more. This will result in interest expense on the public debt eventually approaching $1 trillion annually when interest rates rise and all of the money is spent. That could stagnate the economy which could lead to a stagflation problem similar to what the US experienced in the late 1970s.

Many Americans already regret voting against President Trump and for President Biden. Biden’s continued bad judgment will result in more blunders that will degrade and perhaps destroy, the US.

How will we ever get through the next three years?

  1. Every word you wrote is true and he is still piling up the ‘blunders’ for the entire world to see. But….ARE THEY REALLY BLUNDERS ? or are they a wel excuted PLAN to weaken the Nation with a Hollywood like story line and a Hitchcock ending? It appears (to me) that these events fall almost too perfectly into place not to have been preconceived. Are we being led by nose rings into a Nanny State in order to blend with those already under a Totalatarian rule?

For all that love our Country….now is the time to “Ask not what your country can do for you, but to ask WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY”
