The Republican Debate in Colorado

  Republican debatein Colorado

On Wednesday night the third republican presidential debate was held in Boulder, Colorado. The following candidates took the stage: Billionaire businessman Donald Trump, retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.
Moderated by CNBC hosts Carl Quintanilla, Becky Quick and John Harwood their questions were clearly biased and one sided and made up of democrat talking points. So obviously biased were they that the candidates themselves banded together to correct them and point out how wrong they were.

In fact, claims of media bias became a major theme of the night, with Ted Cruz letting loose like a cruise missile the night’s first scathing barrage against moderators Carl Quintanilla, Becky Quick and John Harwood. ALL OUT WAR AGAINST CNBC

‘Nobody watching at home believes that any of the moderators have any intention of voting in a Republican primary!’ he charged.

‘The questions asked so far illustrate why the American people don’t trust the media. This is not a cage match,’ Cruz said

‘Look at the questions: “Donald Trump, are you a comic-book villain?” “Ben Carson, can you do math?” “John Kasich, will you insult two people over here?” “Marco Rubio, why don’t you resign?” “Jeb Bush, why have your numbers fallen?”‘

‘How about talking about the substantive issues that people care about?’CRUZ NUKES MEDIA AT DEBATE…

Later on when he appeared on Sean Hannity’s show Cruz suggested a debate hosted by Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin as they would bring up real issues for the candidates to confront. Even the democrat candidate debates were one sided with fellow democrat reporters fawning over their candidates and asking “who is the most handsomest among you,” Cruz satirically pointed out, “Whoever selected the ‘moderators’ should be fired and the RNC leaders who allowed it should be condemned.”

The moderators clearly had their sights on destroying the candidates and pit them against each other, but that didn’t seem to work as the candidates banded together against the media. They weren’t tough questions just insulting ones Jeb Calls for Rubio to Resign… Rubio Destroys Jeb.

Former attorney General Ed Meese criticized the panel saying “After 15 minutes it was clear that this was not a debate, but a verbal shooting gallery set up by CNBC, with the targets the Republican candidates and the shooters their biased antagonists from the press,” said Meese.

Sean Hannity later said that this debate will go down in history as a real bad night for the media “You know I got to tell you something. Between the comments of Ted Cruz tonite  and the comments of Marco Rubio and the comments of Chris Christie and the comments of Mike Huckabee,I’m looking at The Drudge Report and the debate was an encyclopedic  example of liberal media bias. You know what? This is going to go down as a really bad night for the media. (see Sean’s video comment here.).” HANNITY: ‘Will Go Down in History as Really Bad Night for Media’…

I thought Marco Rubio really shined throughout the debate pointing out other presidents who skipped more votes than he did when Bush brought that up and especially when he destroyed Hillary in 30 seconds saying how she told the truth about Benghazi being a planned terror attack to her daughter and the Egyptian president, but lied to the American people saying it was caused by a video.

In spite of all the media bias I thought all the candidates were more animated than usual and made for an exciting debate where the candidates came out swinging and sparring almost like a Jerry Springer show with their barbs at one another. Even John Kasich was more animated than usual. When he was asked at the beginning what his weakness was, instead of giving an answer he went into campaign mode as to why people should vote for him.

I got a kick out of Trump’s comment to him when after John said how well his stae was doing because of him Trump replied  that “The reason John’s state is doing so well because of all the fracking going on there not because anything he did which is why he’s on the end over there.”:D

At one point the moderators brought up a question to N.J. Governor Chris Christie about whether fantasy football should be regulated.

Christie blasted the CNBC moderators: “Wait a second. We have $19 trillion in debt. We have people out of work. We have ISIS and al-Qaida attacking us, and we’re talking about fantasy football?!”

The crowd roared with enthusiastic applause, wild cheers and whistles.

I agree with a statement that appeared in GOPUSA today,” Is this a turning point? Have the American people (in the form of the debate audience) and the GOP (in the form of the presidential candidates) finally had enough of the obvious left-wing bias of the media? That’s the number one question that emerged after Wednesday night’s debate as the entire GOP field stood out and the CNBC moderators looked pathetic”. Over all I was proud to see all the candidates come together in attacking and exposing the moderators for what they are, left wing hacks. I also think Trump, Cruz and Rubio took the lead.
