FBI: Muslims targeting military families
Reports surfaced months ago about Muslim extremist websites releasing the home addresses of military members. Now, some middle-easterners seem to be using that information to take things to another level.
An alert has been issued by the FBI to all law enforcement agencies in Colorado and Wyoming involving U.S. military families and concerns about who may be watching them.
The alert says Middle Eastern men are approaching families of U.S. military members at their homes in Colorado and Wyoming. It mentions Greeley and Cheyenne, Wyoming as the specific areas.
While the area of this alert is limited to two states, many reports of military members in states as far away as North Carolina have surfaced. The reports say that military members are flocking to local gun stores to purchase firearms after the FBI alerted them that their names, addresses and personal details had been featured on Muslim-extremist websites.
In one case last May the wife of a military member was approached in front of her home by two Middle Eastern males. The men stated that she was the wife of a U.S. interrogator. When she denied their claims the men laughed.
Incidents between Islamic-extremists are increasing with regular occasion and the FBI is encouraging military members to safeguard their private information and be prepared to defend themselves.
