The 2nd Amendment of our founding document, the Constitution of the United States of America, states: “A well-regulated 
Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”
It doesn’t say that people must belong to a state sponsored Militia to have this right because the idea was for citizens to have their own weapons in case they needed to or were needed to defend their homes, states, or country from enemies from without or within. The 2nd Amendment wasn’t written to allow hunting or target shooting, it was written to allow citizens to protect themselves from marauding Indians, foreign invasion, or a tyrannical government. It says nothing about criminal records or mental illness, that has come about from politicians who desire unarmed sitting ducks to impose their tyranny upon.
Sen. Diane Feinstein has stated that ALL veterans are mentally ill and should not be allowed to own firearms. Being a veteran and a patriot, I deeply resent the attitude of this leftist quack who supports criminals but not the men and women
who have offered their lives to fight tyranny around the world. This statement from the senator from California is tyranny seeking to disarm the very people most capable of defending themselves and their neighbors against the things the 2nd Amendment was written for, a tyrannical government. Naturally there will be some mentally deranged people who commit crimes with a firearm but abusing the rights of everyone is not the answer. Those people have been a problem in the past but were not dealt with when they should have been and when they go on a shooting spree the answer from politicians and their mouthpieces in the lame stream media and other liberal circles is to pass laws abusing citizen rights under the 2nd Amendment rather than deal with the real issue. Now habitual traitor, Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), with the blessing and help of the NRA, is pushing more abuse of citizen rights.
The NRA, ironically, was formed by people seeking to allow freed slaves, previously considered non-citizens, to own 
firearms to protect themselves from the Democrat Party created and sponsored Ku Klux Klan. The KKK was formed to harass and drive the freed slaves back into slavery or kill them. The current batch of NEW WORLD ORDER lackeys in government have abandoned every tenet of the Constitution in their zeal to please foreign interests that seek to abolish this nation and turn it into a mere puppet of their global dictatorship. They make great promises to get elected and then immediately renege on those promises and instead set about abolishing liberty and the means of We the People to defend our nation from their tyranny.
It isn’t any surprise to anyone that John Cornyn will gut the 2nd Amendment as he has a history of taking sides with those intent on destroying the republic in favor of dictatorship, but seeing the NRA is a bit more of a shock to most but not so much to me as I have had issues with them in the past over their support of Harry Reid in a reelection campaign a few years ago.
When I wrote the NRA to protest the deal based on Reid’s record of embracing tyranny I was
rudely informed that the NRA is a single issue group and would support any politician who would help them, in spite of Reid’s gun control record and his long time record of opposing liberty for We the People. As a result of the response from the NRA I ended my membership right then, have not rejoined, and won’t ever rejoin. I am very disappointed that the largest organization in the nation supporting gun rights has been co-opted by the agents of tyranny and are now supporting the dissolution of freedom.
There is no common sense in “common sense gun laws”. “Gun control” isn’t about saving lives, it is about people control, 
the installation of a world government dictatorship at the expense of liberty. As the oligarchy gains power and control, liberty wanes and the position of We the People being able to defend ourselves against tyranny wanes with it. America’s hunters comprise the largest army in the world, including many veterans, many of them with combat experience. If the tyrants ever accomplish their goal of disarming citizens liberty will disappear from America and with it will go the hope of liberty anywhere in the world for the foreseeable future.
The one encouraging point I see is that when the states of New York and Connecticut passed mandatory gun registration laws only an estimated 10% of gun owners complied. The rest decided to ignore the unconstitutional edicts and stayed 
home. I firmly believe that this will be repeated if/when other states try to impose mandatory registration. I know that I
WILL NEVER COMPLY with such nonsense nor will my friends and relatives who own guns. Our response will be; as Flo from a popular sitcom used to say, “kiss my grits”, as we will adhere to the Constitution rather than bow to tyranny.
It is time for We the People to abolish the federal government and start again with people who will follow in the footsteps of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John and Samuel Adams, Patrick Henry, John Hancock, and the thousands of others who stood up for liberty, pledged their “lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor”, fought, and sometimes died to establish the greatest nation ever seen on the planet, once described as “a shining 
city on a hill”. When asked what kind of government they had established, Ben Franklin replied, “a republic madam, if you can keep it”. It seems that over the last 50 years We the People have lost the Republic and must now do whatever it takes, including revolution if necessary, to get it back.
Many feel as I do, enough I hope to restore the nation left to us by the brave men and women who sacrificed so much for us. We owe it to our ancestors, and our successors, to restore what we have let slip away through trusting too much and not gripping the reins of power as we should have over the last half century, starting with Lyndon Johnson and progressing to a marxist moslem ineligible usurper who does as he pleases, ignoring the Constitution, God, We the People, and simple human decency to rule as a king with a Congress that lies, cheats, and aids him in his quest to “fundamentally transform the United States of America” into a marxist moslem caliphate based on a satanic cult that operates on rape, torture, child mutilation, and murder. We the People cannot allow this to continue.
Based on this I once again pledge my life and my sacred honor (I have no fortune to offer) to the cause of liberty. I bow to Jesus Christ (my Lord and Savior) only, and will never bow to any other.
I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

With all due respect, I humbly submit that it was Benjamin Franklin who is reported to have said, “A republic if you can keep it.” I believe Jefferson was in France at the time of the Constitutional Convention.

I have let my membership laps s well. Again it seems the tyranny has accomplished “Controlled Opposition” of yet another “Conservative 9what ever that ,means organization to act as our champion only to give in at a critical moment.
Ben Franklin also said something to the effect that those who sell their freedom for security deserve neither. I know that the self evident truth of the matter is that;
A) there is no such thing as absolute security in this dangerous and risky world – to ANYONE all of the time.
B) My best chance of maintaining my security as much as possible is for ME to be prepared to do it myself! It is NOT the job of the police to protect me! It never has been!
C) The national report of every “incident” has not made the incidents unique and news worthy. There have ALWAYS been horrendous killings. Reporting EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM is a matter of opportunistic Propaganda on the part of the Communists MSM who are indoctrinating the ignorant masses that they should forfeit their rights willingly – seem to be working as the demise of rugged (truth based) individualism continues…

Derrell, I have a cousin who criticized the length of the article saying people want short items without the deiails. I responded by telling him that people who make important decisions without the facts is why our nation is in the toilet. he wants to read no more than 10 seconds and thinks everything should be said in a 10 second to two minute read. I explained that I write to inform, not to give “hope and change” sound bites, And you are correct, the lamestream media reports what fits their ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT agenda.
