Let Me Be Clear. They Are Anything But Clear.

This catchphrase was popular with Barack Obama and is now overused by Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and even Jenn Psaki. When someone says, “Let me be clear,” you can be assured the following sentence will need to be fact-checked. There is no more used statement by people who need to be believed. Some polling group must have told the Democrats that this was a compelling opening line. Biden/Harris are trying to reinvent themselves this week after the most abysmal week two politicians can have.

You know the White House is desperate when Jenn Psaki lowered herself to appear on FOX News for the first time in over a year of Biden’s Presidency. The pattern is getting very old. Biden screws up an answer, and the next day, Psaki comes out and prefaces her revised answer with “Let me be clear. What the President meant was Blah, Blah, and Blah.”

No, Jenn, what he meant to say what was he said. This is why you keep him secluded. This is why his calendar shows he is working part-time at best. This is why his claim on Wednesday that he is working 14 hours a day for the American public is laughable. Lips are moving. They must be stretching the truth.

The only thing you can see as a positive for Joe’s first presser of 2022 is that he stood for two hours and took questions. Some will hear that and laud his stamina. Those of us who suffered through the 120 minutes saw a man fading quickly after the first hour. He got wordier with his answers as the clock ticked away. By the end of the session, he needed the question repeated halfway through his response. It was sad to watch.

There were some memorable statements by Biden. When he claimed he overperformed in his first year, I was angered that nobody asked him for a follow-up to equate that claim with his spiraling approval ratings. He and his surrogates continue to brag about the millions of jobs created this year. We lost 10 million jobs during the Pandemic. Replace every one of those and then brag about the gains after we replace.

He blamed inflation solely on supply chain issues. That is bogus. Inflation has been caused by too much “free” money dumped into the economy, increasing fossil fuel costs resulting from bad Biden policies, and the increased cost to business from increased salaries to attract employees.

There was a hot button moment when someone asked the President about him labeling Republicans as George Wallace or Bull Conner. Biden got hot and animated and pushed back vehemently. He denied the accusation and said to read the transcript. He must think we wouldn’t do the reading, but we did, and he did say it. He and Psaki can walk it back but too late. It was said, and it was heard.

There is a concerted effort to pull back Biden’s comments on Russia and the upcoming illegitimate 2022 elections. With Russia, he said he would accept a marginal incursion into Ukraine. This comment set off even the mainstream media. The msm is finally turning on the President. He also claimed that because the Voter Rights Bill did not pass, the 2022 midterms will not be legitimate elections. His team went apoplectic, and though trying desperately to explain what the President meant to say, people knew what they heard.

Putting Biden in front of the press/media for two hours was a disaster. Please don’t listen to me. Listen to Joe Scarborough, Savannah Guthrie, or Chuck Todd. They will tell you what a train wreck his press conference was. The President has lost his biggest ally in a supportive media. Without them, the next three years will not be difficult but impossible for Biden/Harris.
