While mass media’s smoke machine covers for Susan Rice, remember one thing

The mainstream media has spent the last 24 hours either outright ignoring or putting up a defense against allegations that Susan Rice purposefully collected, unmasked and disseminated intelligence on Trump team members.

CNN’s Don Lemon just refused to cover the story citing the left-leaning Washington Post for proof of a right-wing conspiracy.

The Washington Post ran a story about a supposed meeting between a Trump donor, who had no connection to the Trump campaign or transition team, and an unidentified Russian man that was arranged by UAE officials with the goal of convincing Russia to pull back support for Iran.

A spokesman for Prince said the meeting had nothing to do with Trump, and slammed the government for “big brother” surveillance practices.

“Erik had no role on the transition team. This is a complete fabrication. The meeting had nothing to do with President Trump. Why is the so-called under-resourced intelligence community messing around with surveillance of American citizens when they should be hunting terrorists,” Prince’s spokesperson told the Post.

The post, as of this afternoon, still does not have a front page story on Susan Rice’s alleged unethical and perhaps illegal actions while NBC News, USA Today and CNN posted articles in defense of the former Obama adviser.

Many of the ‘new red scare’-crazed media are sticking to the false Trump-Putin collusion narrative as an effective smoke screen to prevent the majority of Americans from learning that a top Obama official may have spied on innocent Americans.

As the smoke thickens, remember one thing – Lt. General Mike Flynn’s name was unmasked and the details of a classified intelligence report were disseminated throughout the government and leaked to the papers. Ms. Rice’s careless disregard for the civil liberties of American citizens created a culture in the intelligence community that caused the leak – and THAT requires a criminal trial.
