For the past year, Robert Mueller and his team have been investigating Donald Trump for collusion with Russia in the 2016 election. They’ve come up with nothing because there was no collusion. The real collusion was with Hillary and Obama with Russia.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller had to come up with something to avoid coming up empty-handed. He has indicted Paul Manafort and Rick Gates, two Trump associates who are accused of doing things before they were associated with Trump.
Manafort and Gates have both surrendered to federal authorities, according to reports. Charges against Manafort include tax fraud (paywall), and further details are expected today.
Gates, a former Manafort business partner, reportedly helped to plan Trump’s inauguration and joined a pro-Trump political action committee called “America First Policies” soon after. He quit in March, as Trump advisors were examining his close ties to Manafort. He continued to make visits to the White House, however, in the company of Tom Barrack, a Trump donor and long-time friend.
The indictments, unsealed Monday, reference work Manafort and Gates conducted in the Ukraine years before the election. Both men have pleaded not guilty, and both Manafort’s attorney and the Russian government, like Trump, continue to deny any alleged collusion.
“So far Russia doesn’t figure in any way in these charges which have been made,” Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Kremlin, told the AP.
Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz not only called Special Counsel Robert Mueller a “zealot,” but said he uses tactics that “are very questionable.”He also said Mueller is hell-bent on charging President Donald Trump or someone close to him with a crime.
Appearing on Fox News’ “American Newsroom,” Dershowitz said Mueller needs to remember that his job is to ensure justice, not get “as many notches on his belt as possible.”
Matt Drudge of the Drudge Report tweeted out this message the other day giving some insight into the biased nature of Mueller’s investigation.
“Mueller DC grand jury pulled from population that voted 93% for Hillary, highest in nation. Whatever …,”
In fact Mueller’s team consists of lawyers who all contributed to Hillary’s campaign to the tune of $40,000.
Can you imagine if this was a Democrat being investigated by a Republican team? There would be holy hell to pay from the liberal media and establishment in a daily diatribe.
Mueller is the American Leon Trotsky! It was a given that when he was appointed “special counsel” by the traitor and Obama holdover Rod Rosenstein that he would try to charge President Trump with something–even if he had to MAKE IT UP. Meanwhile, mountains of evidence about Hillary’s RUSSIAN COLLUSION in the Uranium One deal, not to mention her and the DNC financing that bogus DOSSIER and paying Russians millions of dollars to fabricate it are lying around all over the place in plain sight, and he just steps over them and continues his DOGGED PURSUIT of President Trump, though he has zero evidence of any wrongdoing, and has not turned up a single piece of evidence–much less proof–in almost a YEAR of this blatantly partisan witch hunt.
In his Monday appearance on “The 700 Club,” televangelist Pat Robertson remarked on the indictments issued in Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference during the 2016 election and urged President Donald Trump to shut down the “tainted” probe.
During the broadcast, Robertson addressed Monday’s indictments against former Trump campaign manager, Paul Manafort and his business associate, Rick Gates.
Robertson contended that Manafort was “an easy target” and there was “not a chance” of the dealings cited in Manafort’s indictment being legitimately linked to the Trump White House.
The one-time presidential candidate advised Trump to consult with the Justice Department in an effort to “shut down” Mueller’s “tainted” investigation since the source of the case is the unverified Trump-Russia dossier produced by political consulting firm Fusion GPS.
However, Mueller is not without guilt also and his investigation is now turning towards the Podesta brothers who are tied to Hillary. John was Hillary’s campaign manager.
Recently revealed information has resulted in a powerful lobbyist stepping down from his position after becoming the focal point in an ongoing investigation led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. According to The Daily Caller, Tony Podesta is resigning from The Podesta Group after word of his involvement in the Russia scandal was revealed.
Podesta, whose brother, John Podesta worked as Hillary Clinton’s campaign advisor, surrendered the CEO position of his company to his old friend Kimberly Fritts. Sources told The Daily Caller that this move had been in the works for months.
Still, many find it odd that Podesta would make this decision just as things are starting to heat up in the Russian investigation. At this point, it seems to be more about damage control than anything else.
This move follows news of Mueller filing indictments against both Trump’s short-lived former campaign manager Paul Manafort and his business associate, Rick Gates. They were charged with 12 counts including conspiracy to launder money and making false and misleading statements.
However, Podesta and his firm’s involvement in Ukrainian politics via a fake front for a company working on behalf of Russian interests is raising just as many questions. Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation seems to have switched from the targeting of President Donald Trump to be more focused on other areas of Russian collusion.
In fact, the indictment papers that were filed never once mentioned President Trump nor did they make mention of the 2016 election. It seems as though lobbying for Russian interests is just as common a practice as the Left feared.
Podesta, who is deeply involved in fake companies in order to lobby on behalf of Russia, is seemingly covering his tracks. Despite all attempts to deflect and tamp down the controversy, this story is simply too big now, John Podesta was paid 30 million by Russia for his company. Hillary, Obama and the Podesta brothers, that’s your real Russian collusion story. With Mueller investigating Podesta that may lead him to investigate the Clintons who should be investigated, but I highly doubt it since Mueller’s team consists of lawyers who all donated to Hillary to the tune of $40,000. Talk about bipartisanship.
As I’ve said before, what is needed is a special counsel who is just as rabid as Mueller to investigate the Hillary uranium scandal in which Mueller happens to be one of the major players. He headed the FBI at the time which failed to vet and investigate the treasonous deal which netted the Clinton Foundation roughly $145 million and Bill over $500k for a 20-minute speech in Russia. Mueller was also close friends with Comey. Trey Gowdy would be excellent in that role.
Now Russian officials are casting doubt on Mueller’s investigation. According to NBC News, Russia’s Foreign Ministry cited a factual error in the Manafort indictment. The spokesperson for the ministry said the presence of such an error indicates the allegations are “cooked up” and not part of a “serious investigation.”
Maria Zakharova, who represents Russia’s Foreign Ministry, noted that the 31-page indictment document against Manafort incorrectly describes Ukrainian politician Yulia Tymoshenko as her country’s former president.
The reality is that Tymoshenko was never president, although she did twice serve as Ukraine’s Prime Minister, first in 2005 and again from 2007 to 2010. In 2011, she was jailed on embezzlement charges that the US and other countries claimed were politically motivated.
Tymoshenko was eventually released from prison and all charges were cleared. Zakharova brought the glaring mistake to the attention of the state-owned Russia 1 television station, mocking the alleged negligence of Special Counsel Mueller’s team.
“This is a very important moment showing the way how, once again, this document had been made, cooked up,” Zkharova continued. “You understand when you talk about serious investigation one cannot allow things like that.”
According to the Manafort indictment, the former Trump campaign chairman and his associate, Richard Gates, “lobbied multiple members of Congress and their staffs about Ukraine sanctions, the validity of Ukraine elections, and the propriety of Yanukovych’s imprisoning his presidential rival, Yulia Tymoshenko (who had served as Ukraine president prior to Yanukovych).”
The charges against Manafort and Gates include money laundering, conspiracy against the US, failing to register as foreign agents, and neglecting to report foreign bank and financial accounts. The two men have made tens of millions of dollars from their lobbying work in Ukraine. The revelation of their indictment coincided with the guilty plea of former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos.
On Monday during the white house press briefing Sarah Sanders was asked by a reporter if she believed Mueller was in the process of wrapping up his investigation,”
“We still expect this to conclude soon,” responded Sanders.
When another reporter asked if the White House had received any indications that Special Counsel Mueller was indeed concluding his investigation, Sanders simply said that, “Those are the indications we have at this time.”
Sanders continued by bringing attention to the fact that Manafort’s activities, executed before his affiliation with the Trump campaign, were unrelated to all-things Trump. “It has nothing to do with the activities of the campaign,” she said. “It has to do with his failure to tell the truth.”

According to Politico, Sarah mentioned that President Trump has “no intention or plan” to fire Robert Mueller from his role leading the ongoing Russian collusion investigation. “The President said last week…there’s no intention or plan to make any changes in regard to the special counsel,” she said.
