Here is a reprint of one of my first articles, it remains true as long as Obama is in office.

When I was a kid back in the 1950′s and 60′s I watched a lot of World War II movies, mainly because back then, all the movies that were on T.V. were from the 1930′s and 40′s and many movies from the 40′s were war movies. In the early 1960′s there were quite a few war movies produced, not on T.V. but in the movie theater. As you all know one of our foe’s during the war was Japan. Hollywood made no bones about putting down the Japanese soldiers and making fun of them whenever they could. I remember seeing pictures of the famous ToJo who was their leader at the time. All the pictures as well as the cartoons had him as a funny character with squinty eyes, glasses, buckteeth and mustache. The picture of him was everywhere and why not, he was our enemy. You see we hated our enemies back then.

Fast forward to present times. Remember September 11, 2001? Muslim radicals killed 3,000 Americans that day. That day we had a new enemy. Muslims. Not all Muslim people are bad, just like not all Japanese people were bad during W.W. II. However, something is different, now we are not allowed to say anything bad about our enemies. Even though Muslims attacked us and killed Americans, we cannot make jokes about them, draw cartoons about them, paint them in an unfair manner because that would be insensitive and might hurt their feelings. It is no wonder we are losing respect around the world. America is becoming a joke to the rest of the world. We have a president that will not call terrorist attacks a terrorist attack; we now have to call it man made disasters. Why? Because we might offend someone. We have an administration that refuses to admit we have a Muslim problem in the world. Just look at the Fort Hood shooting, look how many soldiers were killed, again by a Muslim, but it was not a terrorist attack, according to the Obama administration it was work place violence. If that was not so sad it would be laughable. It seems that we have to bend over backwards to please our enemies. God forbid we might offend them.

There, we have two generations with different enemies. One Japanese, the other Muslim. Who handled the enemy better? Well I’ll give you a hint. They were called the greatest generation. And they were too. I do believe we have lost all common sense in this country. We have come to a point where we have to treat our enemies like they are our friends, no matter what they do. God forbid we should hurt their feelings. The left just does not realize that ignoring terrorism does not make it go away, it just emboldens the terrorists and makes the situation worse. We should be allowed to hate our enemies, we should not be forced to make nice nice with people who are trying to kill us. Our true enemy is Political Correctness.

What To Do About Libya?  War?  Retaliation?  Military Action?  Nothing?

Libya is a nation where, in 2011, the United States taxpayers spent nearly $1 BILLION in military aid (aka bombs) to free them from Muammar Ghaddafi.

On the 11th anniversary of 9/11, riots raged throughout the Islamic world; sparked by a film that insulted the prophet Mohammed.  Even the very depiction of the prophet angers many Muslims.

These riots were not without casualty, as the United States Ambassador to Libya was killed, along with three other Embassy staff.

The burning questions now are:  What now?   What will President Obama do?   What should he do?   Should Congress declare war?

Many believe that President Obama will do something along the lines of nothing.  Not me.

I believe that President Obama will do less than nothing.  Something so miniscule that a gnat defecating will be more meaningful.

President Obama will give a speech just released a statement – (but will still give a teleprompter reading, I believe) – saying how his thoughts and prayers goes out to Ambassador Stevens’ family, and condemning these attacks.

Further, I predict that Obama will go on to say that this is just another sign that the United States and the Muslim community need to work closer together to bring peace in the region.

Statement by the President on the Attack in Benghazi

I strongly condemn the outrageous attack on our diplomatic facility in Benghazi, which took the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. Right now, the American people have the families of those we lost in our thoughts and prayers. They exemplified America’s commitment to freedom, justice, and partnership with nations and people around the globe, and stand in stark contrast to those who callously took their lives.

I have directed my Administration to provide all necessary resources to support the security of our personnel in Libya, and to increase security at our diplomatic posts around the globe. While the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, we must all unequivocally oppose the kind of senseless violence that took the lives of these public servants.

On a personal note, Chris was a courageous and exemplary representative of the United States. Throughout the Libyan revolution, he selflessly served our country and the Libyan people at our mission in Benghazi. As Ambassador in Tripoli, he has supported Libya’s transition to democracy. His legacy will endure wherever human beings reach for liberty and justice. I am profoundly grateful for his service to my Administration, and deeply saddened by this loss.

The brave Americans we lost represent the extraordinary service and sacrifices that our civilians make every day around the globe. As we stand united with their families, let us now redouble our own efforts to carry their work forward.

Republicans, be they Rep. Paul Ryan or GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, have said repeatedly and on the record that their plans are to institute tax reform, not to pass “huge tax cuts for the wealthy”.

The stated Republican position of letting Generals on the ground in combat zones determine the pace of troop withdrawals is more responsible than pulling troops out based on partisan, politically driven timetables. Withdrawing security forces from countries before they are prepared to assume the burden on their own increases the likelihood that future conflicts will arise. It also sends a signal to America’s enemies that the United States is in retreat. Using history as the measure, signaling weakness through retreat only invites further aggression.

Saying Republicans want “more debt” is based on the incorrect “progressive” assumption that higher tax rates result in more revenue to the IRS. This false notion has been so thoroughly discredited that even Plouffe’s boss in the White House admitted tax cuts lead to increased IRS collections, and that plans to hike taxes on the rich were a matter of “fairness”, not to increase revenues. Tax reform that eliminates loopholes and subsidies for those in the highest income brackets, along with a lowering of tax rates across the board will stimulate economic growth and lead to more money going to the IRS. This will lead to less debt, not more.

Plouffe continued with the White House’s aggressive misinformation campaign by stating Republicans “want to return us back to the same policies that caused the recession”. This is the biggest lie of the last four years. One that has been oft repeated since Nancy Pelosi, Barney Franks, Chris Dodd and Harry Reid first started spreading it the day Henry Paulson’s ill-advised, disastrous TARP bill passed through Congress. With the exception of Republican support for a bill to repeal Glass Steagall (a bill that enjoyed bipartisan support in the House and Senate before being signed into law by Bill Clinton in 1999) the legislation that created to the housing bubble was “progressive” social engineering in America’s housing market. That is what caused the world’s 2008 economic crash. The housing bubble that led to global fiscal meltdown is smothered in “progressive” fingerprints. From HUD, to the Community Re-investment Act, to “progressive” support of and Bill Clinton’s signature on the repeal of Glass Steagall, to “progressives” cooking the books at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, to “progressive” Senator Dodd and “progressive” Rep. Franks protecting Fannie and Freddie from regulation.

Plouffe said the White House did not declassify national security information recently leaked in news stories. When pressed on the issue of an investigation of the leaks being conducted by two U.S. attorneys, Plouffe stuck to his talking points, repeating “Everyone in our administration is going to cooperate with this investigation”.

The War on ALEC

Walmart, the largest retailer in the country, has fled ALEC in the progressive left’s latest victory in its war on the organization.  Jessica Wohl of Daily Finance stated “In April, ALEC said it was abandoning the committee that worked on “public safety and elections” to focus on the economy. Despite the change, Walmart decided it was no longer focused on the same issues as the council.” As I’ve mentioned before in a previous post which was reiterated by Ben Shapiro of Breitbart.com today:

Liberal groups like Media Matters for America and its close associate, the Van Jones-run Color of Change, working in coordination with friends of the Obama Administration, launched secondary boycotts against members in ALEC this year; several major ALEC sponsors have already dropped out, prompting ALEC to announce in April that it was no longer going to focus on “public safety and elections,” and would instead direct its energies toward the economy.

These groups have ALEC targeted due to its past support of model bills related to Stand Your Ground laws and Voter ID legislation. Wohl continued in her piece stating that such legislation is opposed by groups like “ColorOfChange, a liberal advocacy group for black Americans,[that] has said the voting laws put the poor and minorities at a disadvantage.”  This group was co-founded by Van Jones.  The ex-Special Advisor for Green Jobs advisor to the Obama White House  who infamously called Republicans “assholes” that led to his premature departure from the administration.

However, this whole notion that it disadvantages the poor and minorities is absurd in the extreme.  It always amazes me how liberals seem to think people, who are missing identification for voting, are incapable of going to their local DMV and acquiring a photo ID. It’s only $13.50.  Let’s take a look at the process in my home state of Pennsylvania.

Regardless, Maggie Sans, Walmart Vice President of Public Affairs and Government Relations, wrote this statement addressed to ALEC’s national chairman and executive director.

Previously, we expressed our concerns about ALEC’s decision to weigh in on issues that stray from its core mission ‘to advance the Jeffersonian principles of free markets…We feel that the divide between these activities and our purpose as a business has become too wide. To that end, we are suspending our membership in ALEC. Sans, who is also giving up her role as secretary of ALEC’s private enterprise board, did not specify the issues that caused the split. Walmart has benefited from ALEC campaigns involving taxes, commerce and technology. While we are disappointed in Walmart’s decision, we understand the unique pressures they are under, said spokeswoman Kaitlyn Buss.

I guess we can add Walmart to the list of victims of far left badgering.

The late Andrew Breitbart declared “War!” on the establishment media and patriotic citizens mustered behind that raucous cry. The descent of mainstream media following years of misreporting, demonization of over half of the citizenry, and exculpation of an entire political party from wrongdoing, led to broken trust and the opening of people’s minds to new sources of information. The slow suicide of left-wing journalism provided fertile preconditions for an upsurge in civic participation.

The rise of the Internet provided the platform for New Media’s genesis, leading to an outpouring of creative and passionate content, both cultural and political. In many ways, the clash between New Media and Old Media was inevitable.

Much like the spontaneously arising Tea Party movement, New Media developed into a loose network of fellow-minded individuals and associations, whose common characteristic is they yearn to break free of cultural conformity and leftwing political correctness. It is not comprised merely of well-known alternative media outlets, but hundreds of thousands of bloggers and citizen journalists, who have self-organized in a version of the Swiss canton defense.

Instead of rifles, today’s New Media soldier carries a laptop or an iPhone.

This war we are engaged in is not bloody, but is a series of battles for the hearts and minds of the American people. The casualties are the broken dreams, lives unfulfilled, and talents unrealized of individuals due to the coercion of the state, whose wielders are primarily interested in political domination, wealth expropriation, and social control. The left’s main weapon in this war is deception.

The way the left-wing media ran cover for the president, while failing to fully vet him, has been a major spur for New Media to pick up the torch and hold the power elite accountable. As Breitbart stated at CPAC, “This year Obama will be vetted.”

Dispelling the Media’s Fog of War

Diversion and entertainment are indispensable weapons in the left’s campaign to keep people from understanding what is going on to their country. The sum effect of the media’s diversionary tactics is to create a “fog of war,” where many Americans are no longer able to see what is important or what is in their self-interests. This situation is eerily similar to the result of successful military and intelligence campaigns. As the Pentagon’s Dictionary of Military and Associated Terms puts it, “deception” is:

Those measures designed to to mislead the enemy by manipulation, distortion, or falsification of evidence to induce him to react in a manner prejudicial to his interests.

Deception has a long-standing place in politics and in warfare. Indeed, Clausewitz argued for the inseverability of the two concepts in his dictum, “warfare is the continuation of politics by other means.” Sun Tzu, the ancient Chinese military adviser, summarized that “All warfare is based on deception.” A few poignant historical allusions draw a parallel between the left’s assault on the nation’s institutions and militarized warfare.

The Biblical story of Gideon and his battle with the Midianites provides a powerful lesson for conservatives, albeit in reverse application. When Gideon found himself outnumbered by the Midianites outside their encampment, he ordered a dispatch of men to blow horns and smash jars to create the illusion that his army outnumbered them. The Midianites fled, and the victory was his.

Leftists are outnumbered, according to nearly every poll of political self-identification, but have to maintain the impression that they are in the majority through media repetition and ideological conformity.

Political correctness is the doctrine that keeps the left toeing the line. It is a kind of state-enforced group think meant to lead Americans into self-censorship and to keep them from speaking up when their actual rights, such as property rights, are being violated. The statists thus try to create a cultural milieu where reverence for constitutionally limited government is akin to hate speech.

It only follows, therefore, that tea party activists are referred to as “terrorists” and “insurgents” for merely seeking to preserve freedom in the country. That is because to statists, tea party activists are the enemies within. But these citizens are holding the breach against totalitarianism, the form of government the modern left assuredly wants.

Another military analogy, well-known to all computer users, is that of the Trojan horse. The mainstream media packaged Obama as a moderate, knowing full well he was a radical community organizer, and once the most left-wing voting member of the U.S. Senate — more so than even the self-described socialist Bernie Sanders. After the American people wheeled the offering into the White House, a gang of Chicago street thugs filed out and proceeded to take the taxpayers to the tune of trillions.

Despite this obvious debacle, millions of Americans refuse to change their initial impression of Obama that he is anything but a nice guy. This is actually a psychological phenomenon utilized in disinformation campaigns called Magruder’s principle. This holds that it is generally easier to get a target to maintain his belief system than to alter it. But the media have over-relied on this psychological weakness, and are starting to make mistakes.

The disparity between those who like the president personally, for example, and those who approve of his policies suggests that many of his professed supporters will simply stay at home on election day. This is due to cognitive dissonance, which immobilizes political action.

The sense of post-decision dissonance, or “buyer’s remorse,” will lead to less excitement and grassroots activity to re-elect the big-talking president, who has failed to deliver on his lofty promises of hope and change. To keep voters from fully realizing this indisputable reality, the media are lobbing countless distractions at the public.

The Politics of Distraction

Much of our political culture is designed to lead to irrelevant mental fixations. A farcical play is trotted out before the public, composed of diversionary tactics that entertain the attention of the undereducated and misinformed. These distractions act like five alarm fire bells going off while looters ransack the joint.

Identity politics are thus meant to pre-occupy us while statists plunder the economy. Notice how much attention the Trayvon Martin shooting received, although the state-run media definitely jumped to conclusions about the racial makeup of the shooter Zimmerman (calling him a “white Hispanic,” whatever that is).

While the FBI is trying to fabricate a “hate crime” for Zimmerman for maybe thinking a politically incorrect thought about Martin, there is a strong case to be made that Zimmerman acted in self-defense. Bruises on Martin’s knuckles and gashes on Zimmerman’s head suggest that the latter was assaulted before he pulled his gun, which he had a right to carry.

But never mind, the media seem to say, let’s convict the man based on his skin color and whatever he may have been thinking at the time. Let’s fabricate evidence and gin up race-based animosity that may even lead to a man being injured or even killed. What transpired during the investigation was an egregious display of journalistic malpractice punctuated by an extremely dangerous legal disposition.

The examples of identity politics being used to divide Americans, and reunite them on the left’s terms, are boundless. As a recent Newsweek article put it, written by the statist sycophant Andrew Sullivan, Obama is the “first gay president.” A subsequent Atlantic article pointed out that Obama has also been called the first female, black, Asian, and Jewish president. While Obama’s stance that he is favor of gay marriage has been lauded across the globe as “brave,” it does not change a thing policywise and is actually nearly identical with the despised Dick Cheney’s.

But that brings us to the point: What difference does it make if two gay men have their marriage recognized by the state, if the federal government is taking over the economy to the tune of trillions? All of these issues are idle fixations in comparison to the looming economic disaster. The upcoming debt ceiling debate again reminds us that our debt levels are out-of-control, and will actually engulf the entire economy around 2027 if they go unchecked. That is less than a generation away. We must engage the left with everything we’ve got to avert this imminent disaster.

The Battle for Hearts and Minds

There are signs springing forth suggesting that this battle can be won. It is a plain fact that most Americans no longer trust the Old Media. After selling us a bill of goods during the 2008 campaign, many people are either turning elsewhere for their news or doing their own research. At the very least, they are tuning Old Media out. Evidence for this is the left’s failed “War on Women” meme, which was quickly reversed into a “War on Moms” after Democrat operative Hilary Rosen gaffed during an attack on Ann Romney. Mitt Romney subsequently went from a sizable deficit to a recent lead among women voters.

Other attempts at luring Americans into preoccupation about trivial matters have failed as well. In violation of the fifth maxim of the U.S. Army’s manual on “Battlefield Deception,” the left has created too much noise, thereby frustrating its disinformation and distraction campaign. Everything is a war on this, or a war on that: on women, on dogs, on everything except war itself.

Americans are already experiencing battle fatigue from the long election campaign, and the left-wing base is proving difficult to rouse. Young people are concerned that only half of graduates look to find meaningful employment under Obama. The Occupy Movement’s campfires have fizzled out to a whining hiss. And the Democrats are in a Catch-22 of having to use over-the-top language to mobilize its foot soldiers, while risking the ire of moderates who prefer a more civil and cooperative tone.

The cynical employment of martial language by the left is no accident — radicals approach their political struggle within our country as a long-term war. That is why leftists don’t sympathize with our military, though they do with our enemies. Radicals, dictators, and Islamists share a mutual hatred and enmity towards the United States as it was founded. And towards anyone who defends the country on those terms to boot.

The organized left has spent too much time engaging in a Gramscian “long march” though the institutions of the country — the schools, the universities, the media, the courts — to simply let an “insurgency” like the tea party rise up and oppose them in the culture. The left has devised sophisticated psychological techniques to manipulate the “superstructure” in order to loot the economic “base.” Anyone who attempts to break this linkage will thus risk the wrath of the parasitical left and will likely be viciously attacked.

America is in a war of sorts; and elections are a way of settling political disputes short of actual war. Historically, elections were devised as  a way of ascertaining head counts of people who could be brought to bear in a war, should conflict openly break out into political violence. We need to be aware of this continuity of politics and warfare, and preserve our democratic republic as a way of preventing escalating social conflict. This ultimately entails a safeguarding of individual rights.

Victory in our struggle will come when each individual is free to speak his mind, explore his potentialities, and fulfill his utmost potential, so long as he does not impede the ability of his fellow citizens to do likewise. As the Paul Reveres of this generation, we must be prepared to ring our own alarm bells: one if by land, two if by sea, and three if by teleprompter.

What will it take to wake you up from your trance?

That trance which you have been slowly and easily lulled into by the rhetoric of politicos who speak with a forked tongue, and by the droning whir of commentary by sock-monkey media figures.

That vegetative state where you indulge in the opiates served to you on the small and silver screens, while your cognitive functions are captured in a cocoon of carelessness.

Will it take more dead American soldiers?

The evaporation of economic prosperity?

A complete loss of liberty and freedom?

The ultimate collapse of The United States as we know it?

Unfortunately these will not shatter the opaque specimen jars in which many have chosen to store their grey matter.

I know these events will fail to awaken the masses, because these things are already happening – and have been for a long time.

The lives of American men and women are in grave peril.  The lives of our children are in great danger, as well.  With a decade of ongoing military action in Iraq and Afghanistan, the docile acceptance of new conflict is surreptitiously implanted into our minds by the Muppets in the media, and by the candidates who seek the highest office in the land.

Each of our children are being burdened with the shackles of debt and perpetual enslavement to the holders of the American economic purse-strings.  Living a life of financial prosperity appears to be trekking the same beaten pathways of the Do-Dos and Dinosaurs.  The future generations of this nation are destined to live in debt thanks to our placidity.

Aside from perpetual war and impoverished economic standing, the coming generations are being lied to.  We are lying to our children about the USA being a Free Country.  We are not free.  Not anymore.  We lose more liberty with each passing year.  Americans have willingly allowed the government to determine how much freedom and liberty we need to keep us safe.  And this is our fault.

In the name of that safety, we allow our government to  grope, molest, and see our children naked (albeit electronically) at airports.  We allow our children to believe that their brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, mothers and fathers are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan “for your freedom”, when rational thinking proves this fallacy wrong.

Again, I ask: What Will It Take To Wake You Up?

I have tried many tactics to break the intellectual hibernation that so many have fallen into.  I have written pointed articles with the sole purpose of stirring logical thought.  I have exposed the politicians that many call “conservative”, when fact and reason say otherwise.  I ran for the United States House Of Representatives in 2010 against Mike Pence on a platform of restoring liberty and fiscal sanity in an attempt to wake people  up.  I hosted an online radio program for 2 years in hopes of educating and informing listeners to wake them up.  With each attempt,  I have been chastised for speaking the truth.  With undeniable facts in hand, I was still called a liar.

Many other people in this country have attempted the same things I have, yet the American people refuse to wake up.

Barack Obama, George W. Bush, William J. Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Ronald W. Reagan and a swarm of other Presidents have contributed to the downfall of this once great nation with debt, war, and reduction of liberty, yet the American people refuse to wake up.

Over 6,500 American soldiers have died in undeclared wars since 2001.  Over 120,000 civilians have died in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001.  Now President Obama and Mitt Romney threaten more war, this time with Iran, yet the American people refuse to wake up.

The US National Debt has surpassed the GDP of the United States, yet the American people refuse to wake up.

Three government programs have $118,723,550,000,000 (that’s $118.723 Trillion) in unfunded liabilities (as of publishing date), yet the American people refuse to wake up.

Eighteen US Veterans commit suicide every single day…. yet the American People refuse to wake up….

Niceties have failed.
Bluntness has failed.
Education has failed.  

Again, I ask:

America is facing an epidemic. The GOP’s shock troops on the New Right have launched into a bigoted “war on morons” — a right-wing crusade that threatens the very existence of the Democrat Party. If something isn’t done to halt the proliferation of alternative information sources in this country, the progress of statism, economic insolvency, and the idiocy that drives them both could be reversed once and for all.

For decades now, the Democrat Party has rested easy knowing that government-run schools were turning our nation’s children into morons. The young and undereducated have become our most reliable voting bloc. The leftwing corporate media have been all-too-willing to reinforce their selective stupidity through half-assed reportage. This successful program has always portrayed Democrats in the best possible light, while demonizing conservatives and Republicans as heartless villains out to impose some vague form of neo-fascism on the poor, helpless masses.

Well, that’s what the right-wing bastards want. That’s not the point.

This cozy arrangement’s worked beautifully for us over generations, where those who want to expand government are eulogized, while those who want to reign it in are blasted as racists, sexists, homophobes — whatever nasty names spring to mind.

We compassionate liberals wouldn’t want anything as silly as facts and rational discourse to get in the way of government bailouts, handouts, and tax credits for too-big-to-fail businesses or welfare paradise for the underclass. But apparently this new-fangled “Internet” threatens to level the playing field by letting conservatives challenge us in the public forum. And to be honest, we can’t tolerate that.

Recently, whenever the echo chamber media repeat our intentionally stupid talking points, these New Right bastards are there to expose us and make us look ridiculous! Conservatives are flash-mobbing websites with their annoying talking points and an insistence on “truth” and “fairness.” Well, frick, we allow them am radio and a cable television station for dissent! What more could these sing-heiling Nazis possibly want?

Once upon a time in this country, we statists could have a nice little “War on Poverty,” a “War on Drugs,” or a never-ending “War on Terror,” and there wasn’t much hullabaloo about it (unless one of those nasty Republicans happened to be in office). But one recent fiasco displays that we are growing more impotent by the day. After we sent up one of our thirty-year old political operatives to stick taxpayers with the bill for universal sexual accessories, there seemed to be a media firestorm playing right into our hands. Media Matters was ready for months in advance with a “War on Women” campaign tailor-made to permanently silence right-wing radio blowhard Rush Limbaugh. But far from accomplishing our mission to “hush Rush,” we spiked his ratings.

We doubled down on failure when we claimed the GOP initiated the”War on Women,” which centered on its evil plans to deprive teen girls of an endless supply of condoms, douches, and abortifacients. On top of that, one of our DNC mouthpieces dropped the ball and called out MS-stricken cancer survivor Ann Romney as a stay-at-home mommy who “never worked a day in her life“! The right-wing went nuts with an outrageous “War on Moms” meme that outraged our moronic constituency with the notion that maybe there was some hypocrisy in the Democrat Party. Perish the thought that some of them might wake up and realize we leftist intellectuals are using them!

Even worse, after the Obama re-election team (including national mommy Michelle) threw Hilary Rosen under the bus and backed up a few times, state-approved sycophant Bill Maher was still laying into Ann Romney, jeopardizing our dear leader’s edge among women. Talk about morons! Here we have a New Right determined to expose our paid pipers, and Maher keeps making over-the-top attacks on women that prove the right’s point that the “War on Women” was merely a charade all along.

In order to combat the nefarious scourge of contradictory information, the Obama campaign rightly took a page out of the East German playbook and set up websites where neighbors, family, and friends could snitch on one another for unfriendly political agitation. First, there was FLAG, where we encouraged morons to rat each other out for saying anything untoward about our president’s wonderful Obamacare plan. But little did we know that smart-asses on the New Right would send a flurry of responses like, “Saw a grandma complain about $500 billion being slashed from Medicare at the Rite Aid on 25th and Main St.” And so forth. We had to shut it down.

The most infamous of the snitch sites, however, was Attack Watch. Set up with the noble intention of allowing citizens to notify authorities whenever anyone would dare denigrate dear leader, it was promptly ridiculed by the hooligans at Misfit Politics and mocked mercilessly on the Twitter hash #attackwatch. One author even had the temerity to parody it with a ridiculous blog article “Snack Watch.” He has been duly reported to DHS’ absurdity division.

But whence we once thought Attack Watch was an anomaly, it appears the snow (or more appropriately, the Scheiss) is starting to roll downhill. The Truth Team was supposed to pick up the torch for the fallen Attack Watch, but was subsequently blasted by the New Media.

We even devised an innocuous Twitter meme #whatsromneyhiding, but this hash was soon taken over by the right with sarcastic posts of birth certificates, selective services records, and college transcripts. Just the other night, the rightblogger fools had the nerve to make an #ObamaBookTitles hash, where they posted nasty, racist titles like “Fear and Loathing n’ Lost Wages” and “Lord of the Lies.” The only thing our moronic banner wavers could do was make up even more racist titles and futilely decry conservatives for blaming everything on Obama.

This is where our agenda to dumb down Americans through government-financed and union-run schools in order to keep people forever voting Democrat sets us up to fail. Ignorance, idiocy, and faux-educated lunacy don’t play too well in New Media for very long. Indeed, a recent study shows that conservatives understand liberal positions much better than vice versa, leading to endless hilarity for the other side and a possible refutation of the meme that right-wingers are closed-minded authoritarian types. Needless to say, some of our most fidelious morons have been exposed to the uncomfortable recognition of their cognitive dissonance and PTSD counselors have been rushed in to maintain the integrity of their worldviews.

While once the New Right appeared bashful to speak up, due to our ubiquitous environ of political correctness, they currently seem more than willing to push back on Facebook and Twitter, and there are signs that the left’s hegemony over the culture is crumbling. Old Media are dying. People are turning more to the Internet for news and information, meaning citizens may be exposed to undesirable sources like Breitbart.com, Drudge Report, and Conservative Daily News. They can fact check our propaganda (and not always at state-approved sources like FactCheck.org and Politifact!).

If this insane drive on the right to brainwash people keeps up, we will be in danger of losing the vital moron constituency that keeps us in business. This distasteful situation could prove disastrous for our ability to game the political system for the benefit of our cronies. We have been running an Old Media propaganda model in a New Media world, and it might be necessary to impose some… standards of decency and “fair speech” to prevent some of our most vulnerable morons from leaving the big government Democrat fold.

After all, an informed moron is a dangerous moron.

As Obama continues to increase pressure on Iran in the hope that the government in Tehran will give up its nuclear program, the Iranians will respond to escalation with escalation. So far Obama has offered only sanctions. There is general agreement in the US on two points: (1) an Iranian nuclear weapons capability is “unacceptable,”and (2) the US prefers reaching an acceptable outcome without using force. There are three factors to consider when a US-Iran war is contemplated:

1. Uncertainty: Not only may the US government not know the technical status of the Iranian nuclear program, or the actual state of readiness of Iranian forces, it may not know (or worse, have wrong) the decision-making and implementation protocols of the Iranian government, how the Iranian people and military would react to an attack, what Tehran would ask its allies and proxies to do, and what in fact they will do.
2. Complexity: The number of factors in the war situation, such as actors, processes and the connections among them. Enemy disinformation can also set us on the wrong track. The enemy acts not just on the battlefield but also through an ability to influence our understanding of the situation by means of denial and deception. In this and other ways complexity reinforces uncertainty.

3. War Itself: War involves simultaneous conflict in the military, diplomatic, economic and social domains on four levels: political, strategic, operational, and tactical. While a war with Iran might begin in the military domain, it would likely expand to others, and while it might begin at the operational or tactical level it would soon encompass strategic and political levels as well. There is a very great chance that, through suicide terrorist attacks, non-military may become directly involved.

Obama is married to the idea that nations can just sit down and talk about their problems with each other over a beer. Yet perhaps Obama has finally realized that his assumptions about the uses of diplomacy were incorrect. Obama may have come to the realization that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad might appear to be a clown, he is serious about acquiring nuclear weapons, and he is not interested in following the policy of “mutually assured destruction” (MAD) that has kept the nuclear powers from turning the entire planet into a burnt cinder. Obama and his advisers do not seem to be concerned with the deaths of anyone so long as their ideological goals are reached.

Obama, during the primary debates for the Democrat nomination, said that he would be glad to meet with any head of government without preconditions. Now we get word of a letter Obama sent to Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei. The White House disputed Iranian reports that Obama sent a letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader offering direct bilateral talks. Regarding the letter, Iranian Member of Parliament Hojjatoleslam Hossein Ebrahimi said:

• … has described it [closing the Strait of Hormuz] as the United States’ red line that would provoke a response by the United States.
• … Obama has mentioned cooperation and negotiation based on the interests of the two countries.
• … He [Obama] has stated in the letter that they [the US] will not take any hostile action against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
• … This is not the first time that Obama has sent a message and letter to the Islamic Republic of Iran. He has repeatedly spoken in a soft tone about the Islamic Republic of Iran, but, in practice, he has not acted accordingly. Obama’s letter indicates that the United States has become afraid of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s might and has realized the point that an arrogant spirit is of no use, and therefore, he has softened his tone when speaking about the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The fourth consideration is our definition of victory. A regime-change goal would require a broad military offensive that could include nuclear facilities, air defenses, Iran’s retaliatory capabilities, leadership targets, regime supporters, and national infrastructure and economic targets. The more expansive a war’s goals as a plan escalates from strike to campaign to broad offensive, the greater the force needed to achieve those goals. The primary question is: if the politicians start a war, will they step back and let an unencumbered military fight it? If we look at recent history, it doesn’t look too promising.

But that’s just my opinion.

As we walked in the door, we were greeted by a lady sitting at a table. She introduced herself as Leigh Watson, and told us she was a local author who was there for a book signing. She gave us an overview of what her book was about, and my mind began to whirl!

She had me from the moment she opened her mouth. I could see by the cover of the book that it was about our military. She confirmed this fact within the first few words she spoke, telling us that it was about her journey of seeing her son off  when he went to Iraq in the war. She said “9 Miracles- One Mother’s Amazing Journey Home After Seeing Her Son Off To War” was not about her sons journey, but her journey, and the miracles that happened to her.

I told her we would take a book, and she addressed it to our family. After a few more minutes of pleasantries, we thanked her, and went on our way to do our shopping.

Just a few moments later, I told my husband to watch the kids for a minute, I would be right back. I just had to talk to Leigh again! I had so many questions! I could not even concentrate on my own shopping, because I was so intrigued by her story. I honestly do not remember all that we talked about, but I remember distinctly that she told me the book itself was a miracle, because she never wrote anything down- not even a shopping list!  We visited for several more minutes, and once again, I went on my way, rejoining my family.

We finished our shopping, and went to check out. As we were waiting in the check out line, my children began talking to her. She gave each of my children a bookmark, which of course thrilled them to the gills!

We made our purchase, said our good-byes to Leigh, and headed out the door.

Right next to Family Christian Bookstore is Home Depot. We had to run in to pick up a few items there as well, so as I was driving across the parking lot, I asked my husband if he wanted to just run in and get the few items we needed, and I would stay in the car with the kids. He was agreeable to that arrangement, to my delight!

As he ran in to do our shopping, I opened my book and began to read.

The synopsis, as written on the back of the book, is as follows:

When Leigh’s husband is unable to accompany her to see their Air Force son, Luke, off to Iraq, Leigh mentally prepares herself to make the trip alone, knowing she will have to be strong for Luke’s sake.

Along the way, she encounters extraordinary people and incredible circumstances that could only be defined as heaven-sent. Rejoice, how as one exits- another appears, carrying her on the wings of mercy all the way home.

I finished the first chapter just as my husband was getting back into the car. Leigh had already brought tears to my eyes- in the very first chapter!

The rest of the day was quite busy, so I did not have the opportunity to sit down to read anymore for the day.

This morning, I woke up at 7:30 am and picked up my book. By 8:10 am, I had completed the book. I needed this book at this time in my life more than Leigh could have known!  More importantly, God knew I needed this book! If the store had not been closed last weekend, we would have completed our shopping then, and would not have been back this weekend. In fact, as I told Leigh, this was only the second time we had come to this store, preferring instead to shop online. God had other plans for me this time. He knew that this book was something that I needed. He knew that I needed to meet Leigh. And He knew this is a book I probably would not have chosen to buy, had I not met the author personally.

While I know that God Is God- He is real, He is with me every second of every minute of every day- sometimes I tend to forget that He is concerned with even the tiniest details of my life. Just as He was with Leigh at one of the saddest points in her life, He reminded me that every day He is with me, just as He was with her that day! He has used “9 Miracles” to speak to my heart. He has reminded me that all the things I have been preoccupied with recently should be handed over to Him.

Rather than sitting around wringing my hands, worrying about my children, the choices they are making, the choices they will make in the future, I need to focus on raising my children in a Godly home and let God do the rest. Yes, without a doubt we are going to have our rough times. Yes, we are going to have our tribulations. But as the new Newsboys song says,

“You stay the same through the ages
Your love never changes
There may be pain in the night
But joy comes in the morning
And when the oceans rage
I don’t have to be afraid
Because I know that You love me
Your love never fails”

His love never fails. The trials I am facing right now are painful, but indeed, joy will come in the morning, because His love never fails! “9 Miracles” is proof of that fact! Without a doubt in my mind, Leigh’s story is proof that God cares for us more than we can ever know. Her journey was, indeed, an amazing one!

One thing that sticks out in my mind from my conversation with Leigh was the fact that she said she was not a writer. She told me, and she writes in the book, that the entire book was written in two sittings. This just amazed me! God was definitely in the writing of His “9 Miracles”!

If you are someone who likes to tear apart the sentence structure of a book, disect the technical side of things, and critique the literary experience, this is not the book for you. While it may never be a “literary masterpiece” to the scholars of the world, the Master of the Universe doesn’t need all that.  Leigh Watson is most definitely the instrument in the hands of The Master who loves His children. If, however, you are just an ordinary person who believes in miracles, this is a book you must read! And if you are someone who does not believe in miracles, I challenge you to read it anyway! Maybe… just maybe, God will speak to you as well! And if you dare to allow Him, He will work miracles in your life. You simply have to believe, and place your trust in Him.

I literally read the book from beginning to end in less than 45 minutes. It was as if I was sitting there with Leigh, over a cup of coffee, with her telling me the story in person. I teared up more times than I can remember, and actually cried a couple of times, out of just pure amazement at my God’s love and mercy!  I know that He loves His children- there is no doubt in my mind of this! However, to read the specifics of how He lovingly took care of Leigh shows me that yes, He may have created heaven and earth, and everything that is, but He still loves every single one of His children as if we were the only one in the world!

My older three children had asked if they could read the book. After I finished the book this morning, I called them into my bedroom and they all piled into the bed. I told them that rather than each of them reading the book, I would read it to all of them, so even the younger two children could hear the story of God’s miracles. We finished half of the book this morning, and will most definitely finish it tomorrow.

Originally, this day was celebrated as “Armistice day” marking  the peace agreement signed in Rethondes, France.  In 1954 Congress designated November 11th as Veteran’s day in order to honor all Veterans.

In 1971 President Nixon declared it a Federal holiday on the second Monday in November which would be the 14th.

This year, the holiday is on a Friday, today. The kids are out of school, mail won’t be delivered and parades will be held throughout the nation. At 11am, consider a thanks, a salute, a moment of silence to honor our veterans then, pick one of the military veteran support charities at the bottom of our “Support our troops” page and give. They have.

Yet the big, theatrical, megalomaniacal laugh that should have been coming from the general direction of Tehran was drowned out by the snickers of millions when they heard Attorney General Eric Holder state, “The United States is committed to holding Iran accountable for its actions.”

Really? Why start now?

The Obama administration is already talking about more sanctions – which, by the way hasn’t seemed to deter Iran from continuing to build a nuclear weapon, despite their claiming to need it for “energy” reasons.  They’re floating on a sea of oil, folks.

There can really only be one reason why a yet still non-nuclear country (we think) like Iran would risk the wrath of the U.S., post-9/11 – the have no fear of real reprisal.

Such was, is and will always be the response of despots to the hand of appeasement.  Such people’s disdain and hatred only increases in the face of pacification.  To them, it is a sign of weakness, ineptitude and the embodiment of everything they despise about our culture and society.

For most in the civilized world, this type of thinking seems, well, foreign.  We have been brought up to believe that we should look for commonalities and work toward bridging gaps – they want to blow up those bridges or, in this case, ambassadors.

They will only respect one thing – a firm powerful punch to the solo plexus followed by the willingness to deliver another blow.  Iran’s leadership knows that this administration simply doesn’t have the stomach for that.  In fact, the President goes out of his way to telegraph to the world that he has no intention of keeping those types of options on the table whatsoever.

A wise Jewish carpenter once said, “how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man?”  It’s even easier if the strong man voluntarily ties himself up!

I am reminded of one of the most memorable line in movie history that came from the low-budget cult classic Terminator.  It rings in my mind every time I hear some talk of placating our modern enemy and so I adapt it slightly for our modern reality:

“That [terrorist] is out there. It can’t be bargained with. It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead!”

The days (and years) after 9/11 found us kicking ourselves for not taking Al-Qaeda seriously.  Will history look upon this date with the same remorse?

Now, I know many of you don’t expect outstanding journalism from MSNBC, and for the most part, I don’t either, but… This was pretty bad.  In part one of the interview, Lawrence O’Donnell chastises Herman Cain for not being more involved with the Civil Rights movement.  He actually gives Cain a hard time, because Cain said he sat in the back of the bus, so he wouldn’t get in trouble.  Keep in mind that Herman Cain is a man who got his Masters Degree and has been very successful in many industries; Cain is not wired to be a "trouble maker".  That wasn’t good enough for O’Donnell.  The MSNBC anchor pushed him and implied that progress in the Civil Rights movement would have never been made, if all of the black people just sat in the back of the bus.  It was a very awkward and terrible segment.  It’s actually what I was going to write about at first…..  But then I saw part two of the interview, and what I saw upset me so much that I stopped watching and began writing the words you’re looking at right now.

The subject was Herman Cain’s service to this country during the Viet Nam War.  The short story is this:  Herman Cain went to college (got a masters degree, even) and worked for the Department of the Navy doing analysis that helped with ballistic weapons.  Lawrence O’Donnell then went on to accuse Herman Cain of being a draft dodger, because he didn’t VOLUNTEER to go.  (Cain was actually available for the draft, but his number was never called)  Here’s some of their conversation below:

Lawrence: Can you explain how you avoided military service during the Viet Nam War and during the draft and why you should be Commander in Chief if you did successfully avoid military service during the war that came during what would have been your war years?  After avoiding the Viet Nam war, why should you be Commander in Chief?

Cain:  Now, your choice of words… "How did I avoid the Viet Nam War?"  I wasn’t trying to avoid the Viet Nam War.  Here’s what happened, Lawrence…  I was working in a critical area called "exterior ballistics".  I worked on something called the "rocket assisted projectile" for the department of the Navy.

Cain then went on to say:

Cain:  …When they had the (draft) lottery, I made myself available.  The year that they had the lottery for the draft, they did not draft me, because they did not get to my number.  So I think that’s a poor choice of words on your part to say that "I avoided the Viet Nam War".

Lawrence:  I am offended on behalf of all of the veterans of the VIet Nam War who joined, Mr. Cain.  The veterans who did not wait to be drafted, like John Kerry, who joined.  They didn’t sit there and wait to find out what their draft board was gonna do.  They had the courage to join and to go and fight that war.  What prevented you from joining, and what gives you the feeling that after having made that choice, you should be the Commander in Chief?

Alright… Let me get my snarky thought out of the way first.  Mr. O’donnell, what made Barack Obama think he should be the Commander in Chief?  Was it all of the flyers he stapled to telephone poles on the south side of Chicago?  Was it his church that said we "deserved 9/11 to happen to us"?  Was it his wife who had never been proud of America?  What, Mr. O’Donnell, made our current president think he "should be Commander in Chief"?

Secondly, I rarely pull the military card, but I have served this nation honorably, and I can tell you things that might not be common knowledge.  Herman Cain might not have gone off to the Viet Nam War to go live what has been described by many to be hell, but he did do work that helped make life less of a hell for the service members who did go.  He stayed in the United States and helped the military develop artillery.  When I was in the service, I cannot tell you how thankful I was to civil servants and contractors who made our weapons for us. 

See, I don’t know if many people realize it or not, but our warriors don’t work in the factories that make the many weapon systems that we use, and they don’t design them either.  They may have input on what ends up being developed, but it is civilians who bust their humps here in the United States that actually provide us with the tools that we need.  Herman Cain was providing those tools.  It is asinine to say that Herman Cain did not serve during the Viet Nam War.  He was helping develop weapons systems while he was in the draft pool.  The man didn’t "dodge" anything, and he did more to serve this country than President Obama ever chose to do.

That segment of the interview was infuriating for me to watch.  It was honestly one of the most disrespectful and least truthful things I have seen a supposed journalist do.  Herman Cain helped work on the weapons that service members were using to fight the war.  You don’t have to stand on the front line to play a part in winning the war, and again, Cain has done more to serve this country than President Obama ever thought to do.  He’s created more jobs too, but that’s beside the point.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan (AP) — A NATO helicopter attacked a Pakistani army post near the Afghan border Tuesday, injuring two Pakistani soldiers in an incident that could further increase tension following the U.S. raid that killed Osama bin Laden, Pakistani intelligence officials said.

A Pakistani Army post on the border with Afghanistan gets attacked by a gunship chopper and a NATO puppet says that yes there has been an “incident” and we will have to access the situation. Why isn’t the U.S. Military Commander in charge there answering questions and explaining why we have now attacked Pakistan on their own soil ?  I do believe this is turning out to be just like in Libya, where a bomb strike murdered 3 innocent children and Ghaddafi’s son, and the only explanation we have to date is that it was a “NATO” plane. Why are the people not being told if it was a U.S. plane ( most likely), or a plane from another country that bombed those innocent children? Maybe if we made G.W. Bush Preisdent for one more day the supposed mainstream media would have the courage to investigate and report the facts behind the bombing? I am pretty certain that Bush would be called a murderer and war criminal if he had attacked Libya under these same conditions. Thus the media spin and lies continue today, in keeping Americans in the dark about the truth. So who attacked Pakistan today ?

There were helicopters operating in the border region, and we are aware there has been an incident, said NATO coalition spokesman Lt. Col. John Dorrian. “But we are going to have to assess the situation.”He declined to give further details or say which NATO country was involved. (emphasis mine)

Just as the U.S. is now hiding behind the NATO coalition disguise to wage an illegal war action against Libya, it now appears it is being used here to deny accountability for today’s attack on Pakistan. The fact is, that most Helicopter gunships flying in this region are in fact, AMERICAN.

Pakistani troops responded with machine gun fire and deployed two helicopter gunships over the post, but the American NATO helicopter had already left, they said. ( strikeout is mine)

Is the U.S. now at war with Pakistan, making us involved in a record four wars at one time ?  It will be interesting to see the spin and misinformation to come out of the media propagandists when the White House gives its mandated talking points in order to cover this debacle up. One thing is for sure, Obama has already played most of his “blame Bush” cards, but now he can just blame a mysterious, unidentified NATO gunship as the culprit here. People can not call anyone a war criminal for the murder of innocents in Libya, and now nobody can be held accountable for today’s attack on a Pakistani Army post. Isn’t this convenient for the previously anti-war Senator Obama? It sure is, seeing as he is in perpetual campaign mode 24/7, some year and a half before the 2012 elections.
