Hello. Is Anyone Listening?

For the past month I have been reading, writing, and then rewriting articles that I haven’t finished. I have been wracking my brain, trying to figure out a way to get the message through to people, so they understand we are rapidly becoming a POLICE STATE and quite literally on the brink of civil war.  There are so many factors to consider and so much evidence out there which supports what I am saying, yet, I still wonder why so many Americans remain disengaged or have no interest?  Are they just plain stupid or is it they just don’t care? Whatever the reason, if there is one, once the inevitable occurs it will be way to late for many people.

In the past couple of years tensions under this president have heightened.  States  are claiming sovereignty unter the 10th Amendment http://www.panamalaw.org/US_states_filing_state_sovereignty_laws.html or http://www.panamalaw.org/US_states_filing_state_sovereignty_laws.html.  We have terrorist camps doing military training on our own soil without any interference by the Federal Government whose only role should be to protect US citizens here or abroad. http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/hannity/2009/02/17/frightening-film-us-terrorism-training-camps.

Our President is allowing drowns to spy on its own people, they have cameras already in place, and more importantly  — no one can get an answer, from the people you put in charge of your life, as to whether or not it is okay to shoot US citizens.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x90cCC1UDWE  Perhaps some of  you think you that will be safe?  I don’t know what what you think? I’m just wondering?  It would appear not many people seem interested in the military training that is suddenly occurring nationwide.  And what about the fact that SOME police and sheriff depts are reporting they will NOT support any Bills which go against the 2nd Amendment, nor will they infringe on the rights, guaranteed in the Constitution,  and take fire on American citizens. Shouldn’t every police dept, sheriff dept be vocal about that?  Why aren’t they. I think everyone, well, most everyone can agree the economy is failing.  When the feds stop printing the the worthless money they are putting out, as the debt continues to spiral out of control, and as taxes continue to rise by a president who ‘swore’ (lol) he wouldn’t raise taxes I think most of us can agree it is just a matter of time before our economic system fails completely.  Some states are already at ways to remedy the inevitable by creating their own currency. http://consumerist.com/2013/02/06/is-virginia-really-trying-to-mint-its-own-money/

Article V of the Constitution states:

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it
necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the
application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states,
shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case,
shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this
Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the
several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one
or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress;
provided that no amendment which may be made prior to the year one
thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any manner affect the first
and fourth clauses in the ninth section of the first article; and that
no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage
in the Senate.

I read an article today which really summarized everything I planned on saying, and then some. This article touches on some of the issues at stake. I would be here all day if I tried to present more, plus it might already be overwhelming for some people. Nonetheless you have a moral, ethical, and civil duty, not just to yourself, but to every single person in your life, to examine the facts, do some research, and then prepare accordingly.

Mullin Disappoints Once Again

I attended a town hall meeting in Claremore on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 featuring Markwayne Mullin, the newly elected congressman from Oklahoma’s 2nd District. Some of his statements sounded strange coming from Markwayne Mullina “conservative” but one response to a question bothered me more than the rest.

A man asked Mullin about the executive orders being used by Barack Obama to by-pass Congress, and what can be done to nullify them. Mullin’s response was that the way to stop an EO was for the House to pass legislation nullifying the order, then send it to the Senate where Dingy Harry Reid would refuse to allow it to be heard. And even if it could be passed by the Senate it would have to go to Obama for his signature.

Mullin asked if anyone thought Obama would undo his own executive order by signing such a bill. And of course the answer is “NO”. His next comment astounded me. Mullin then said, to paraphrase, “what’s the point of going through all that when there is no chance of prevailing?”

Isn’t this just accepting business as usual and admitting he has no say in what goes on in Washington? Isn’t this the same point Hillary Clinton just made about Benghazi, that nothing matters? What difference does anything make in Washington? Why is Mullin there then? He might as well come home and run his plumbing business if he is that impotent in Congress. Why have any of them there if they can only follow the dictates of party “leadership”? Why not just let the Traitor John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Nancy Pelosi, Dingy Harry Reid, and Obama make all the decisions and save us the money we spend for Congress and their massive staffs?

I tire of hearing how spineless Republicans are powerless to make any changes in the way the establishment in both parties runs our nation as a dictatorial oligarchy. “We only have one half of one third of government” is the usual whine from Republicans who didn’t do anything to shrink government when they had total control. We the People are told almost daily that “that is how things work in Washington”. Even those we think are conservative don’t take long to tell us there is nothing that can be done to change government.
I wish Mullin would have told me this during the campaign. I might as well have helped his opposition in the primary run-off. I thought supporting George Faught in the Republican run-off would net me the words I am hearing now from the guy I supported and campaigned for.

How are We the People ever going to get the Bald Eagle back as the symbol of the greatest nation in history with this kind of mealy-mouthed garbage coming from those we elect to public office? Party loyalty trumpsLiberty Eagle loyalty to the Constitution and We the People every time it seems.

I like Mullin, as I got to know him during the campaign, but I hear the same bird crap I heard from his predecessor, Democrat Dan Boren. We change birds in Congress but find the same bird crap falling on our heads after changing the breed of birds.

The problem with changing which party is in control of government is that there isn’t any distinguishable difference in the political parties today. When you look at a pile of horse manure how do you tell if it came from a Republican horse or a Democrat horse? I have often written that John F. Kennedy could not win the nomination for president in the Republican Party today because he would be too conservative. That is a sad state of affairs.

This week Marco Rubio, the non-natural born citizen and presumptive Republican nominee for the 2016 presidential election, became the poster child for the newest “latest and greatest” amnesty scam being foisted upon We the People by the Republican Party establishment. It seems “expanding the Republican tent” means making room for every group but those who have supported the party low these many years since Reagan, the last conservative to sit in the White House. Will Mullin, when faced with voting for amnesty, tell us once again “that is how things are done in Washington” and go on to explain how powerless he is?

The Globalist Oligarchy Party (GOP) has abandoned everything it used to stand for and now embraces the same policies as the Marxist dominated Democrat Party. Liberty is dying in America and there are so few in republican logogovernment willing to stand up for the Constitution and We the People. Unfortunately, Oklahoma is not very well represented in Washington, D. C. (De Cesspool). Five of our six Republican congressmen voted to put the Traitor John Boehner back in the Speaker’s chair in spite of overwhelming opposition to Boehner by We the People of the state.

Changing party affiliation doesn’t change the crap being dropped on our heads so what is the answer? I am looking for the people with the courage to step up and represent my conservative views in government and it won’t happen until we get a 3rd party. True conservatives in both political parties need to leave their bird nest and do something that will benefit America not just their particular set of special interest groups. I though Mullin was one of those but he is proving me wrong.

Oath Keepers Be Damned?

Reported yesterday: “[Obama’s] new litmus test of leadership in the military is if they will fire on US citizens… . Those who will not are being removed.”

Obama is drenched in Americans’ skepticism about potential for martial law. Gun control fanatics have given more rise to what many perceive as an imminent possibility. Americans’ concerns first arose in 2008 when Obama spoke about instituting “a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as our military. Given similar statements he’d made that ultimately were not what Americans believed his words meant (known as “information dominance”) such as “fundamentally transforming America,” Americans are right to remain concerned.

Subsequently in 2010’s Health Care Bill Obama provided for a “Ready Reserve Corps,” dismissed by some as simply being comprised of health care professionals in event of catastrophe. Since then questionable images have surfaced of Obama’s “civilian army” comprising young black chanting thugs quite unlike any military Americans have ever known. That was enhanced by Obama’s official statements defining “Veterans” and “Christians” as “domestic terrorists;” and by now the well known FEMA Camps that make no practical sense. Admittedly, two-years later Americans still know very little about just what is in the Health Care legislation – and why – so these legitimate questions do persist.

A year or more ago it was reported in legitimate Conservative news that Obama was infiltrating our nation’s military with street thugs, changing its composition with characters who’d have less discipline and no particular loyalty to the American People. I find this believable not only because of its source but mostly because Obama has, on many occasions, indulged in and allowed thuggary and, through his silence on a grand scale, has further encouraged it in his governing of America. Those behavioral examples speak loudly, as they should, regardless of the words being used.

Americans have taken comfort in believing our military will stand with us, they having sworn duty to our Constitution, not to any one president or his ideology. The formation of Oath Keepers gave us some reassurance. Oath Keepers had their first annual conference in 2009, understandably so given Obama’s wholly unAmerican handling of the Health Care Bill despite majority demands of The American People in opposing it. From the Oath Keepers site:

Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of current and formerly serving military, reserves, National Guard, veterans, Peace Officers, and Fire Fighters who will fulfill the Oath we swore … to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God. Our Oath is to the Constitution.

On Monday Dr. Jim Garrow, a well-respected man dedicated to rescuing infant girls from China’s one-child policy and Nobel Peace Prize nominee, reportedly posted on Facebook:

I have just been informed by a former senior military leader that Obama is using a new “litmus test” in determining who will stay and who must go in his military leaders. Get ready to explode folks. “The new litmus test of leadership in the military is if they will fire on US citizens or not.” Those who will not are being removed.

When asked who his source was Garrow reportedly answered: “The man who told me this is one of America’s foremost military heroes.” Read Garrow’s Amazon bio here. The Examiner reported on this yesterday, adding:

This comes on the heels of Sunday’s report in the Washington Free Beacon (WFB) that the head of Central Command, Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis is being dismissed by Obama and will leave his post in March.

Lest we forget the three high-ranking Generals plus an Admiral who were inexplicably and untimely unseated from their positions immediately following Obama and Hillary Clinton’s “stand-down” orders in Lybia; and their nonsensical lies about a little-known “film” that clearly did not lend to that great American tragedy. Reports of inordinately replacing these officials were buried, curiously superseded by the just as suspicious “scandal” surrounding Lybia and our otherwise renown for his ethics general, General Patraeus.

Oh what a wicked web we weave when we seek first to deceive. God bless our Oath Keepers. God bless America.

America’s Answer to Politicians: Oklahoma State Senator Nathan Dahm

I came home from visiting a daughter yesterday evening and found my brightest moment of the young year. I had a notification from a social network site I belong to, Tea Party Command Center, of a story about the “Gun Appreciation Day” event in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Saturday Jan. 19, 2013. It featured a video of a newly elected state senator speaking about the constitutional rights of We the People. The video was beyond inspiring to me.

State Senator Nathan Dahm (R- Dist 33, Broken Arrow) lifted my spirits greatly with remarks to the crowd that show we do indeed Nathan Dahmstill have elected political officials willing to stand up and publicly slap down the elitist Washington establishment. Dahm pointed out something I really wasn’t aware of when he asked the crowd what the three branches of AMERICAN government are. Like everyone there I was incorrect in my answer. I have read the Constitution of the United States of America thoroughly many times and am more than knowledgeable on the document. I answered Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. WRONG!!!! Dahm tells us. I will let you watch the video to find the correct answer.

This is exactly what We the People need to counter the power play being undertaken by Barack Obama, Democrats, and RINO Republicans in the federal government, and many in state governments (New York comes to mind with the Cuomo and Bloomberg rants against liberty). Dahm has taken the stand that the Constitution tells us what is and what isn’t legal, what a novel idea. He also points out in his talk that there is more than just the 10th Amendment to stand on. He points out the 9th Amendment and says he finds that one more important than its successor. The 9th Amendment reads:

“The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people”.

Dahm explains that this amendment says no branch of government is allowed to “construe”, or interpret, a right away from We the People. What have bureaucrats, politicians, and courts been doing for 50 years? That’s right, interpreting the Constitution to mean what they desire it to mean not what the founding fathers wrote it to mean, thereby denying citizens the rights intended by the authors of said Constitution. They have “construed” the Constitution as a means of social engineering our nation into a dictatorial oligarchy.

Senator Dahm and people like him are the “political saviors” of We the People. He is standing up for the ideals and principles this nation was founded upon. Dahm also stated in his remarks that the2nd Amendment Eagle right to possess firearms, the right to self-defense, is a God given right guaranteed by the Constitution, not a right given to us by a benevolent government. The problem we have is politicians seeing the God-given rights guaranteed by our constitution as their “permission” that can be revoked as they please. King George III, anyone????

I watched this video after seeing all of the stories lately about county sheriffs who have stated publicly that they will not enforce, nor allow to be enforced, any law, dictate, or ruling that violates the letter or the intent of our Constitution and the founding fathers who established it as the law of the land.

These men are our anchor to liberty and they should be vigorously supported by all freedom-loving American citizens. They are not merely paying lip service to our freedom as many in government do. They are actually standing up and publicly stating they will honor their oath of office, unlike most in politics and many in non-political elected offices such as sheriffs. Too many, especially In Washington D.C., pay lip service to the Constitution without really doing anything to back up their words. They tell us they will not take our freedom away while taking our freedom away. Dahm is a refreshing wave.

We must retain what liberty we have left and then start a march back to the liberty established by so many during our Revolutionary War and preserved by so many since. A few months ago I thought the ultimate result of this power hungry bunch in Washington would be another Revolutionary War, with massive casualties among citizens willing to stand up for liberty. I saw a real shooting war in an attempt to thwart the plans of Washington insiders to turn my beloved nation into a third world banana dictatorship. I thought the expression “live free or die” would have more meaning than I ever could have imagined. The reaction by sheriffs nationwide and state elected officials like Nathan Dahm have given me a new perspective to live with. We the People are not by ourselves, we are not alone. There are true patriots in elected political office and sheriffs willing to publicly stick a finger in the eye of would-be dictators in both political parties.

I recently wrote my elected state representative and senator asking them to forego the usual party loyalty and show their loyalty to their oath of office, the Constitution, and the citizens. I will also forward this video to them as a reminder of what I expect. I hope every person who reads this will forward the video to their state legislators. Let them know you will stand with them as they stand with you. They must be sure We the People will have their backs when they take stands that are dangerous to them both politically and personally. Neither political party is going to willingly accept this kind of behavior from “one of their own”. If the hatchet-men of both political parties have not taken aim at Dahm and those like him it won’t be long before they do.

I also just wrote my county sheriff on this matter. Scott Walton of Rogers County, Oklahoma is a lifelong Democrat who ran as a Republican in 2012 because he knew he could not win on the Democrat side of the ticket. I had written him before on the matter of gun control but received no response. During the campaign he was less than forthcoming with his stand on the 2nd Amendment, and that is a more than kind assessment. I took the remarks I heard Walton make as him being against private ownership of firearms although he never directly said so. He did the typical political “Potomac Two-Step” on more than one occasion when questioned about his position on the 2nd Amendment.

We have the opportunity to push liberalism/progressivism back very long ways if we will support those who are putting their lives, and careers, on the line for the freedom many of us hold dear. Nathan Eagle and FlagDahm, Sheriffs Mack and Arpaio, and others like them (30 of 33 sheriffs in New Mexico, for instance) are what liberty-loving American citizens have been crying out for. It is imperative that we now stand up and support them loudly and clearly. They have answered the call to freedom and we owe it to them, ourselves, our descendents, and most of all our predecessors to stand with them regardless of the pressure put out by tyrants. We can win if we will put our pleas for help into action. These men have answered the call, have shown they care, and shown they have the courage to protect the freedoms God gave us. Now it is time for all Americans to acknowledge their courage and make sure they don’t stand alone when the rubber hits the road.

Our future is brighter today because of people like Nathan Dahm. My heart-felt thanks and total support go out to him and those who have made the decision to stand up for the liberty given to me and my loved ones by God, and guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America.

No Federal Permission Slip Is Required

In a prior post, entitled, “If Congress Can, Unilaterally, Modify The Constitution,” I wrote this brief history of The Bill of Rights:

“Following The Philadelphia (Constitutional) Convention of 1787, where The United States Constitution was debated, written, and sent to the thirteen respective states for ratification, many notable, and well-respected Patriots, and statesmen, such as Patrick Henry and George Mason, also referred to as The Anti-Federalists, publicly spoke out against the ratification of The Constitution. Among the several reasons: they believed it was a threat to Individual Liberties; they were opposed to the new Federal Court system; and feared that The President would eventually morph into a King.”

“At the time that The Constitution was being written, Thomas Jefferson while serving as an U.S. Ambassador in France, wrote to James Madison, advocating for a Bill of Rights. Also, not pleased with the results of The Constitutional Convention, three of the remaining delegates refused to sign the document: Edmund Randolph of Virginia, George Mason of Virginia, and Elbridge Gerry of Massachusetts. A Bill of Rights was demanded if they were to support the Constitution. It was to these men, the Anti-Federalists of the day, and their wisdom and opposition to The Constitution at the time, that we can thank for our treasured Bill Of Rights.”

“Inspired largely by The Virginia Declaration of Rights (1776), which was largely inspired by The English Bill of Rights (1689), James Madison introduced a series of legislative articles to the 1st United States Congress, which were adopted by the House of Representatives on August 21, 1789; proposed, jointly, by Congress, on September 25, 1789; and through the process of state ratification, were adopted as the first ten amendments to The United States Constitution. The Bill Of Rights went into effect on December 15, 1791.”

Although there was much written, in opposition to The Constitution at the time, I continually come back to these words, written under the pseudonym of Brutus – as they are very revealing:

“Ought not a government, vested with such extensive and indefinite authority, to have been restricted by a declaration of rights? It certainly ought. So clear a point is this, that I cannot help suspecting that persons who attempt to persuade people that such reservations were less necessary under this Constitution than under those of the States, are willfully endeavoring to deceive, and to lead you into an absolute state of vassalage.”

Clearly, from the above words, we can conclude that The Bill of Rights were not only created to add additional restraints onto the newly created, Federal Government, but, that, these Constitutional “Protections” were drawn from “pre-existing state constitutions.” Why then does there continue to be this belief, or misconception, that The Supreme Court has some authority over these rights? Clearly, if these restraints were put onto The Federal Government, that would certainly include all agents of The Federal Government – including The Supreme Court.

Prior to The Twentieth Century, it was largely understood, and largely upheld that, The Bill of Rights were there to restrain The Federal Government in certain areas of the people’s lives, and nothing more. It wasn’t until The Supreme Court created a fictitious doctrine, under the guise of The 14th Amendment, Due Process Clause, that they flipped The Bill of Rights on their head and used them to assert more Federal control over the states, and the people’s lives..

Please consider this brief history of The Incorporation Doctrine, from Wikipedia:

“The incorporation of the Bill of Rights (or incorporation for short) is the process by which American courts have applied portions of the U.S. Bill of Rights to the states. Prior to the 1890s, the Bill of Rights was held only to apply to the federal government. Under the incorporation doctrine, most provisions of the Bill of Rights now also apply to the state and local governments, by virtue of the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution.”

“Prior to the ratification of the Fourteenth Amendment and the development of the incorporation doctrine, the Supreme Court in 1833 held in Barron v. Baltimore that the Bill of Rights applied only to the federal, but not any state governments. Even years after the ratification of the Fourteenth Amendment, the Supreme Court in United States v. Cruikshank still held that the First and Second Amendment did not apply to state governments. However, beginning in the 1920s, a series of United States Supreme Court decisions interpreted the Fourteenth Amendment to “incorporate” most portions of the Bill of Rights, making these portions, for the first time, enforceable against the state governments.”

“The genesis of incorporation has been traced back to either Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad v. City of Chicago (1897) in which the Supreme Court appeared to require some form of just compensation for property appropriated by state or local authorities (although there was a state statute on the books that provided the same guarantee) or, more commonly, to Gitlow v. New York (1925), in which the Court expressly held that States were bound to protect freedom of speech. Since that time, the Court has steadily incorporated most of the significant provisions of the Bill of Rights.”

Often times, we hear The Second Amendment cited, as our Constitutional Protection to bear arms; but, how many people have taken the time to actually review their state constitutions? At least 40 states have an explicit clause, in their state constitutions, guaranteeing their citizens the right to bear arms.This is not to minimize our 2nd Amendment, but only to put it into it’s proper perspective. It is there to restrain The Federal Government from making laws in regards to this right, but our state constitutions are where this “Constitutional Protection” truly lies. Therefore, if this right is already protected in our state constitutions, why would we want to give The Federal Government, which includes The Supreme Court, any power in this area?

In this recent post, by The Tenth Amendment Center, on The Bill of Rights, the author made a very astute point in regards to The Second Amendment:

“Since the Second Amendment did not create or grant any right concerning firearms, the right enumerated in the Amendment has to be an existing right separate from the Amendment. Thus, repealing the Second Amendment would not eliminate any right because the right enumerated in the Amendment was not created by the Amendment. The right to keep and bear arms exists independent of the Constitution or the Second Amendment.”

The above paragraph is a great insight into natural rights. For example, these rights are not granted by government, state or federal, but rather, are part of our humanity, and considered God-given rights. And, to that extent, these rights are more like “Constitutional Protections,” of rights, that pre-exist Government.

Some people, who are not well-informed on this topic, or simply feel uncomfortable with it, will often ask questions such as, “if The Supreme Court didn’t apply these rights to the states, couldn’t the states, for example, establish state religions”? While that would be a great question, it has already been answered: By the mid 1800s, all states in the union had already, by their own accord, disestablished all state religions in their respective states.

And, for the more conservative Americans, I would ask them to consider that The Supreme Court has used this very same, Supreme Court-created, Incorporation Doctrine, in their Roe vs. Wade decision, which has seriously hindered the individual states ability to legislate in the area of abortion, and Everson vs The Board of Education, which was the beginning of the end for school prayer etc.

In fact, I would encourage anyone who is reading this post to use this link to search for your state constitution, and compare it with The Federal Bill of Rights. I believe that many people will be surprised to find that most of the constitutional protections that we have come to treasure in The Federal Bill of Rights are already present in their state constitution. And, if they are not, there surely is a way to work toward amending your respective constitution.

While, in one regard, a Supreme Court decision may work for the good of some individual initiative, their decisions, as we have seen, can also lead to the nationalization of some very bad decisions – which, can have some very long-term, negative ramifications. In my humble opinion, it is far better to have a few states lacking in certain constitutional protections, which can be remedied by their respective citizens, then it is to have 9 people in our Federal Government, using their nationalist agenda, to further destroy our state sovereignty, and by extension, our individual rights, and sovereignty.

Whether it is our natural right to self-defense, or any other God-given right, we should hold firmly to this maxim: that, in regards to these rights, “No Federal Permission Slip Is Required.”

States Apply for a Second Constitutional Convention

With the current media circus aimed at gun control, can you imagine if the founding document, our U.S. Constitution, was on trial? Instead of demanding our Constitutional Right, we’d have to justify why an individual has the right to possess a gun. Many mainstream state politicians and lobbying groups across the nation are applying for a second Constitutional Convention and…it looks like they may get it.

Americans exercise liberties no individual had experienced prior. In return, the innovations America’s contributed to mankind are unimaginable prior to introduction. This is because our founder’s ingeniously wrote the Constitution establishing a strong but limited government designed to protect our individual rights. Over the years, our government and the protection of our individual rights have eroded. Today, these rights and responsibilities are just as important and just as vulnerable. As these groups pursue an “Article V Convention”, are they looking to abolish our current government and replace it with another?

Some organizations and academia want the name of a Constitutional Convention change to something else. ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council) is an organization that advises and recruits state legislators across the nation. According to their manual for “Proposing Constitutional Amendments by a Convention of the States”,

“Other acceptable names for a convention for proposing amendments are amendments convention, convention of the states, and Article V convention. (…it is inaccurate and misleading to call a convention for proposing amendments a ‘constitutional convention”.)

To call an Article V Convention anything but a “Constitutional Convention” is misleading. Other than being defeated at war, there are ONLY two ways to amend or alter the Constitution. The first method is the Amendment process which has successfully amended the Constitution 17 times and the other is by Convention. Once Congress calls a Convention according to Article V, there is nothing that can alter its course.

Congress might try to limit the Convention to one amendment or to one issue, but there is no way to assure that the Convention would obey. America’s problem is not an antiquated Constitution but a government that has deviated from it; this includes local, regional and state governments. We cannot fix our government through changing or adding new rules; we need to hold it accountable to the rules already set forth.

Once an Article V Convention begins, what will the Federalist Papers resemble? Our founders wrote Federalist Papers to convince the states in ratifying the Constitution, along with the Bill of Rights. With today’s media, it could easily be made a mockery on CSPAN, MSNBC, CNN or Fox with commentaries of Pierce Morgan, Chris Matthews or Bill O’Reilly moderating the coverage.

In today’s chaos, our Constitution is our only foundation, it preserves our liberties such as freedom of speech, religion, due process, private property or arms…just to name a few! Hopefully, you’ll be prepared to defend these freedoms when it comes for deliberation!

Our Constitution protects our rights as individuals. We, the citizens, are not positioned to defend our Constitutional individual freedoms in such a forum. We have been segregated into false labels so we could easily pick our opponents for trivial stuff.

Imagine our First Amendment’s Five Freedoms, freedom of religion, press, speech, assembly and petition did not exist. What if authorities arrested without charging, search and seized property the State deemed necessary? These fundamental Individual Rights are protected by a federal government established within our Constitution.

When it comes to our Second Amendment, the massacres of Aurora, Newtown and Ft Hood don’t hold a candle to the massacres done by dictators’ like Mao Zedong, Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin. Our founders understood an out-of-control government and attempted to limit it as much as possible. They also understood how special interest could infiltrate it and use it as their weapon.

Once the Constitutional Convention starts, our individual rights will be open for debate. It’s difficult to understand why someone would submit for a Constitutional Convention in these times unless they wish to get rid of our Individual Rights…rights protected by a limited government that may no longer exist. …Or they may wish for a fundamental transformation of America.

Obama’s Gun Control Executive Orders, Plain English Version

1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.
Insure that every agency has every bit of information on everyone in the nation so nothing slips through our fingers, er through the cracks. “Sieg Heil!!!”.

2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.
If we have inadvertently left in a provision that allows the states any hope of nullifying any action we will ensure the courts side with us until we get it repaired. Bribe or threaten any who do not willingly comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”.

3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.
Try bribery first and that doesn’t work we can go to threats. These “motivational aids” will encourage cooperation from governors and legislators of both political parties. Ve have vays of making you talk, Sieg Heil!!!”

4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.
Categories MUST include, from most important to least important; Military veterans with priority on Special Ops training and combat experience; people of Christian and Jewish faiths; people who own guns; people who know how to shoot someone else’s guns; people who have read and understand The Constitution of the United States of America; people who expect elected officials to uphold their oath of office; people who discuss liberty, personal responsibility, and self-determination; conservative people who have the temerity to criticize any politician that violates his/her oath of office.

Categories that MUST NOT appear on the prohibited list; Muslim terrorists, Mexican drug cartel members; street gang members; union members, politicians, Hollywood types. “Sieg Heil!!!”

5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.
Make them jump through enough hoops they will be guaranteed to fail. Give local law enforcement and our imbedded Gestapo agents enough leeway, rather demand law enforcement, deny anyone not “acceptable” the right to have their firearm returned to them. “Let me see your papers!!! Sieg Heil”

6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.
Dictate to dealers exactly how they will circumvent the Constitution to do the bidding of the ruling class. Threaten to investigate and impose enough fines on fake violations to put out of business any who do not willingly comply. Make every gun dealer an agent of the Reich, “Sieg Heil!!”

7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.
Register every gun so we can confiscate them more easily. We will know where every gun is and who owns it. In the mean time, insure that any gun in the hands of a civilian is either inoperable or locked up beyond reach. “Sieg Heil!!!”

8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission).
Make firearms useless for anyone to protect themselves. If nothing else, cause the price to rise so far so fast most won’t be able to afford one. “Sieg Heil!!!”

9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.
Well, except for the Fast & Furious type programs that we use to filter guns to Mexican Drug cartel members. We don’t want anyone but the ruling class passing out firearms to those we “deem” acceptable to have them; ie, Mexican drug cartels, street gangs, and Muslim terrorists. DO NOT report any guns that might be traced back to previously listed “acceptable” groups. Bribe or threaten any who do not willingly comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”

10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement.
Get someone started on that fake study showing irresponsible gun owners who lost or had their gun stolen and blame them for crime. Give information to local Gestapo headquarters in order for them to carry out our confiscation program. Bribe or threaten any who do not willingly comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”

11. Nominate an ATF director.
Eric Holder is busy covering up Fast & Furious and Hillary is quitting so she can run in 2016. I need a brainless lackey who will carry out George Soros’ every order without question. Hmmm, I know, John Dean. “Sieg Heil!!!”

12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.
They already do this but we can slip in our indoctrination while hiding it behind “feel good” propaganda. Teach them how to take out those who demand we follow The Constitution of the United States of America (hahahahaha). ”Sieg Heil!!!”

13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime.
Put Gestapo agents in the field to insure local law enforcement carry out our orders. It worked great in occupied Europe under Hitler it will work just as well for us here in America. Insure that “protected groups”, ie Mexican drug cartel members, street gang members, and Muslim terrorists are not prosecuted or deterred from their tasks of murder, robbery, rape, kidnapping, etc. Be sure to only target law abiding citizens who might defend against our “helpers” or fight for their freedom from our dictatorship. “Sieg Heil!!!”

14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.
Drag out the last phony study, add the latest fake figures and release the results we desire. Do Not under any circumstances let the truth leak out. “Sieg Heil!!!”

15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies.
Get that bullet imprint bill and dust it off, time to release it again. We can stall until we can get all the guns registered and confiscated. If nothing else we can price ammunition out of the range of most Americans. Again, bribe or threaten those unwilling to comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”

16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.
Alright, which one of you idiots left that in there? Spin it to say that isn’t really there. Stick to the message. Tell doctors we pay them and demand they do as we say. Bribe or threaten any who do not willingly comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”

17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.
Don’t bother to bribe this bunch. We will own them in a few months anyway. Just issue the notification of threat should they not willingly comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”

18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.
More control of the Hitler Youth, er school children is necessary. Under no circumstances can we allow this to be done by local or state school officials. Get our Gestapo agents in every school. Bribe or threaten any who do not willingly comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”

19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education.
Control, it is all dependant on our control of everyone and every public meeting place. We must have churches and civic organizations under our thumbs if not there already. “Sieg Heil!!!”

20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover.
Tell them what they will do, we pay them and I am in charge now. There will be no more decisions coming from doctors, my minions will make those decisions. Anyone espousing freedom, liberty, self-determination, or the Constitution of the United States of America MUST be declared mentally unstable, a danger to society, and an enemy of the state. 21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges.
Get the control tight enough that no one can escape our tentacles, er we don’t leave anyone out. Make sure previously listed mental health issues are covered again, and covered thoroughly. Leave no cracks that they can slip though to find liberty. “Sieg Heil!!!”

22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.
Make sure we get ANY possible conservative thought declared a mental disorder. For that matter, any independent thought, anything not prescribed by the ruling class will be a mental disorder. Bribe or threaten any who do not willingly comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”

23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health
Get the two most evil people I can find to conspire to insure anyone who isn’t a mind-numbed robot can be declared mentally incompetent and a danger to society, and an enemy of the state. Pure Defiance – Prostituting Government

Congress back in session

This man in the oval office has brought in the New Year with an onslaught of abusive measures.

For example, he has signed NDAA 2013, a bill that makes a provision to unlawfully detain American citizens indefinitely (as he gives passes to illegal immigrants).

He also advocated emergencies through the engineered fiscal cliff. Senators received the 154-page bill at approximately 1:36 AM on Jan. 1, 2013 – a mere three minutes before they voted to approve it at 1:39 AM. And, yes, they signed it. The House also passed it the following day.

After receiving news of these treacherous violations, I thought it appropriate to ask the American people, where are they deriving their powers?

It is not from the United States Constitution?

The Constitution is a delegated, or expressed powers document. Case in point: the federal government can “only do” what the Constitution says it can, period! We have progressed from delegated, to suggested, to interpreted, to “if it doesn’t say we can’t… we can,” to “I don’t care what it says.”

Many of this administration’s actions have unlawfully and contemptuously defied the Constitution.

Barack Hussein Obama has attacked our military, attempted to force institutions to fund the murder of babies, sued states who passed laws to prevent illegal immigration, fired CEOs of private corporations, and claimed “executive privilege” to cover for his Attorney General in the deadly gun-running sting, “Fast and Furious.”

To further highlight Obama’s defiance, back in 2011 he was held in contempt of court for illegally obstructing oil drilling off shore.

Listen carefully to what federal Judge Martin Feldmen said after he placed the injunction on Obama, as it well explains his overall disdain for America and her laws:

“Each step the government took following the court’s imposition of a preliminary injunction showcases its defiance… Such dismissive conduct … provide this court with clear and convincing evidence of the government’s contempt.”

Friends, he is not speaking of a third world dictator, he is speaking of the president of the United States.

The great wonder of this age is that the American people sit back and allow this administration to defy and to desecrate everything our veterans fought, bled and died to give us – the ratification of the Constitution.

America needs to come back to the place where no longer are they magnifying the crime or the criminals, but rather the law against their crimes unto judgment to establish righteousness, especially when it comes to those who work for “We the People.”

Then and only then will we know the peace that God and our forefathers intended to give unto us through our Mosaic Institution.

Thomas Jefferson rightly stated, “When the representative body have lost the confidence of their constituents, when they have notoriously made sale of their most valuable rights, when they have assumed to themselves powers which the people never put into their hands, then indeed their continuing in office becomes dangerous.”

We have clearly seen that the president, Senate, and House have disregarded the precedents of our forefathers and instead have taken Senator John Glenn’s advice: “Why, if we had to do that (follow the rule of our Constitution) we could not pass most of the laws we enact around here.”

Obama’s proposed plan on the economy implemented an unprecedented 41:1 ratio of tax increases to spending cuts. The bill passed shortly after Obama prostituted out the government by ordering a pay raise for Congress and other federal officials.

So the question is, who is giving him a pass, and why?

OVERCOMING OBAMA’S NEW NORMAL

Going into election day a Romney win appeared imminent. The experts augured a certain victory for Mr. Romney. George Will predicted 321 electoral votes for the Governor, Dick Morris boldly projected 325 and Karl Rove modestly assured 279 electoral votes for a Romney presidency. President Obama had a four year record that was, from any dispassionate perspective, abysmal, if not criminal in nature.

A Romney victory foretold the Republic’s salvation from President Obama’s oppressive and dangerous regime.  This is a president who enacted fiscal policies that reduced America’s credit standing and engendered unemployment, deficits and public debt of record proportions. He was on a quixotic mission to punish productive Americans with greater taxes while cultivating a plantation like dependent state for those suffering under his punitive policies. Mr. Obama has the dubious distinction for being the first president to enlist Marxist class warfare rhetoric by expounding on the evils of America’s free market system. He conducted a shadow unconstitutional government of unelected czars immune to congressional approval after campaigning on a guarantee to have the most transparent presidency in history.

President Obama’s first term was devoid of statesmanship. Instead of demonstrating strong, mature leadership, he displayed petty, childish divisiveness. He blamed his predecessor for his own failures and engaged in inflammatory oratory that pit American against American. The President affronted the Constitution through his obsession for centralizing presidential powers, resulting in massive regulations that stifled business expansion and economic growth. His landmark achievement ObamaCare, although held to be constitutional by the Supreme Court as an enormous tax, is a centralized governmental overreach to control one-sixth of the American economy that will cost $1.7 trillion over the next decade. Additionally, President Obama tramples on the First Amendment rights of the Catholic Church by requiring the Church to comport with anti-life activities of ObamaCare.

Some of President Obama’s most egregious offenses were on the international front. He dishonored America by his disingenuous remarks on his “Apologize for America” tours, and neglected his sworn duty under the Constitution as Commander-In-Chief by refusing to fashion a cogent policy on terrorism. The domino effect resulted in terrorist attacks on American embassies across the Middle East, a dictatorial regime in former ally Egypt, the deaths of four Americans at the American consulate in Libya, and cleared a path for an Iranian nuclear enrichment program putting America’s only Middle East ally, Israel, in harms way.

Many of the President’s 2008 supporters were furious for being enticed by his “hopey-changey” sloganizing. In hindsight they felt duped and their support for him made them feel as though they bought that celebrated bridge in Brooklyn. Their anger was palatable and they would right their wrong by sending him packing from the White House. The burning question that consumed many 2008 Obama voters was whether the President’s dismal record reflected a purposeful effort to denounce America’s Constitution, it’s heritage and reduce its world standing out of pure disdain due to his Marxist upbringing, or was it simply due to sheer incompetence? Neither reason was cause for consolation.

Who would vote to re-elect a President who was only transparent in his capacity for deception and incompetence? Putting aside the suspicion of massive voter fraud, to begin to answer that question it is safe to assume that the President secured his base. I’m referring to the usual suspects who cling to the progressive/socialist democratic agenda every election cycle and cast a democrat vote solely to support some personal mania. They are legion and include the phony celebrity crowd, union thugs, environmental and feminist zealots, the secularist atheists and agnostics infamous for booing God at the DNC convention, abortion enablers, race baiters, anti-gun fanatics, and, of course, the democratic party’s mainstay, the anti-American manic-depressives. His base also includes the “reflexive” democrats. This tragic lot mindlessly votes democrat simply because some influential figure in their life, a parent, teacher, or their butcher, directed them accordingly. This community of misfits is the perennial heart and soul of the democratic base. They are a veritable Neverland of hypocritical pretense, odious self-centeredness and willful ignorance, and fortunately for the Republic this collective operates on the periphery of the American electorate.

Apart from the progressive/socialist extremists wing of the Obama voting bloc it’s important to mine what was the primary issue that was the tipping point for Obama voters. The Third Way performed a study of 800 Obama voters that included democrats, republicans, and independents, and the results showed that an overwhelming number of Obama voters favored increasing taxes on the wealthy and increasing government spending, intervention on “income inequality” issues and government welfare programs. The GOP experts in their search to identify the primary reason for what many believe to be Mr. Obama’s upset victory agree with this evaluation. Former Vermont Governor and ubiquitous GOP advance man John Sununu (R) chalked up the President’s victory to a growing base that’s now “dependent, to a great extent economically, on government policy and government programs.” Linda Chavez, Chairman of the Center for Equal Opportunity, pointed out that individuals and families living well above poverty levels now qualify for numerous government assistance programs. Heather MacDonald of the Manhattan Institute attributes the Obama victory to the growing wave of Hispanic voters who voted for the President by a margin of 75 percent due to the President’s dependent state polices. MacDonald states that, “It is not immigration policy that creates the strong bond between Hispanics and the Democratic party, but the core Democratic principles of a more generous safety net, strong government intervention in the economy, and progressive taxation.”

But there is cause for solace for the GOP.  Despite The Third Way’s results showing that the President’s non-base voters support a social democratic welfare state, his voter turnout dropped appreciably from 2008.  The president’s dreadful record caused many who voted for him in 2008 to suffer from what could only be described as voter remorse, and the 2012 voter results reflected that sentiment. The Bipartisan Policy Center reports that despite an increase of eight million eligible voters in 2012 voter turnout dipped from 62.3 percent of eligible citizens voting in 2008 to 57.5 percent in 2012. This reduction in turnout was mostly in the democrat camp where the democrats had 4.2 percent less turnout in 2012 than in 2008 compared to the GOPs dip of only 1.2 percent.  The Pew Research Center’s long view shows that Mr. Obama received less of the popular vote in 2012 than 2008 and was flat or down from 2008 in virtually every age group. Obama is the first president in U.S. history to win re-election despite (a) winning fewer electoral votes, (b) a diminished popular vote total, and (c) a lower aggregate vote nationwide.  Guy Benson reported that, at the end of the day, only 406,348 swing state votes separated Obama and Romney, and if Romney would have garnered those votes in the swing states in the right proportions he would have had 275 electoral votes.  Additionally, the 2012 election resulted in conservatives retaining control of the House of Representatives, 30 Governorships and in 24 states Republicans control both the Governorships and the legislatures. Therefore conservatives indeed are certainly not relegated to the wilderness of the American polity.

Notwithstanding the President’s atrocious record and his reduced support in 2012 he seduced a particular faction of America to embrace his vision of a new normal of high unemployment as a means to foster widespread government dependency. Thus his obsession to inhibit America’s free-enterprise system is the method to his maddening mission.  President Obama’s policies of dependencies caused America’s welfare state to increase 19 percent under his administration. According to the Heritage Foundation’s Senior Research Fellow Robert Rector there are 79 means-tested federal welfare programs, at a cost approaching $1 trillion annually. In his report, Rector said the increase in federal means-tested welfare spending during Obama’s first two years in office was two-and-a-half times greater than any previous increase in federal welfare spending in U.S. history, after adjusting for inflation. President Obama’s lure of dependency infects those who take the bait with lethargy and despair, ultimately requiring them to repay the price of inducement in the form of higher taxes and depressed communities.  Mr. Obama’s “handout hell” brings to mind the sagacious quote, “The American Republic will endure until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money”.

The President’s ideological vision for a socialist welfare state is a mandate for mediocrity not excellence, and a program to punish success and enable failure. Russell Kirk said, “…to seek for utopia is to end in disaster”. America has bore the brunt of the Obama “hope and change” utopian vision and must now endure four more years of polices that foster decline, fear, and discord. The President will undoubtedly continue his mission into his second term to ignore the Declaration’s First Principles, circumvent the canons of the Constitution, and exert his energy to sully the principles of conservatism that forms the basis these founding documents.

But in the face of such malaise there is promise. The 2012 Obama turnout was markedly reduced and the fundamentals of his socialistic welfare state are baseless and its results have been in free-fall failure since his 2009 inauguration.  If, under the Obama mandate, America’s stagnant GDP, which is now less than it’s debt, a loss of American credit worthiness and consistent high unemployment and profligate spending is not sufficient evidence, one must only look to other nations to see the dire effects of a socialist state. The mainstream media can run protective cover for the Obamas regimes rage against America for so long. The public’s conscious awareness of the calamitous ramifications of his socialist policies are at critical mass and his reduced voter turnout, albeit sufficient for victory, is evidence of that realization.

The solution for America’s Obama woes is not more doses of failed socialist ideologies, but a rekindling of the conservative sentiment that enlivens the spirit of American greatness.  The principles of conservatism are the foundation for America’s cause of order, freedom and justice. America’s cause provides the unfettered opportunity to reap the practical and moral rewards of our concerted efforts, recognize natural law, and exercise our natural rights.

America was ordained to unleash in humankind the “moral imagination”, the imagination that inspires one to lead a virtuous life. The moral imagination was described by conservative philosopher Russell Kirk as aspiring to the “apprehending of right order in the soul and right order in the commonwealth”, and that the moral imagination “informs us concerning the dignity of human nature, which instructs us that we are more than naked apes”.

Russell Kirk also referred to those “permanent things” that animate a fulfilling life as, “…things in society: the health of the family, inherited political institutions that insure a measure of order and justice and freedom, a life of diversity and independence, a life marked by widespread possession of private property. These permanent things guarantee against arbitrary interference by the state. These are all aspects of conservative thought.” John Attarian aptly describes the permanent things as “… norms of courage, duty, justice, integrity, charity, and so on – (that) owe their existence, and authority, to a higher power than social good”. American conservatism inhabits these ideals inherent in the moral imagination and the permanent things. These ideals are central to conservatism and foster a society that preserves freedoms and inspires the best in our nature, and they take their cues from the Judeo-Christian traditions that form the underpinnings of America’s system of justice.

Conservative values and principles forged the American idea, but progressive/socialist’s have been successful in shaping the conservative narrative. The progressive/socialist’s capacity to fashion destructive public policy is matched only by their talent for canards when defining conservatism in the public square. This is where the conservative’s natural inclination toward restraint, decorum and an assumptive attitude for public acceptance of time honored and successful conservative principles has been turned against them by the intimidating prevarications of the progressive/socialist mob mentality. In order to distract the public from the horrendous results of their policies the progressive/socialist must depict the conservative through a smudged lens of lies and deceits.

In an era of Obama-driven socialist policies destined to damage America but lauded by a liberal educational establishment and its negative ramifications shielded by over 80 percent of the American media, the conservative can no longer assume the public will, as a matter of course, recognize the inherent benefits of the conservative course for America. Conservatives must endeavor to be aggressively proactive with their message and principles.

Solutions have been aplenty for conservatives to take back the presidency to counteract the progressive/socialist assault on conservative America, and the central theme is coalition building. Erick Erickson of RedState proposes that conservative must focus on preserving the conservative brand. Erickson believes that the movement must extricate itself from conservative organizations that are more fixated on the GOP leaders in their groups and not the conservative movement. The focus needs to be on the conservative cache of ideas, not the leaders. Erickson says, “Conservatives need to take their brand back from the GOP and disentangle themselves from the ego driven side of conservative institutions that make it about the leaders of the organizations and not the ideas these claim they’re promoting once they get back off their next donor funded book tour selling books to other donors”. Along with applying state of the art political technology Erickson suggests that conservative grassroots coalition building is imperative. Resolute conservative groups such as Heritage’s Action for America and Club for Growth should be leveraged to build coalitions and grassroots support.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich presented a 25 point report to the RNC that outlines a host of viable propositions, amongst them are campaigns built around “coalitions, long term party building and team efforts versus consultant-based campaigns”. One of the former Speaker’s tactical suggestions is for conservatives to become fully acquainted with the democrat’s strategies by “…build(ing) a library of must reads” that are the blueprints for the democrat’s strategic approach to campaigning. I suggest that number one on that reading list should be “Rules for Radicals” by Saul Alinsky. Alinsky’s tome is the bible for the democratic party’s electioneering efforts, and Barack Obama has the dubious distinction of teaching its tenants while he worked for the criminal, and now defunct, ACORN organizing group.

Conservatives must realize they can execute on all the well thought out strategic and tactical plans they devise, but their best laid plans to take back the White House will fall short if their message misses the mark. Messaging is the means for success. As distasteful and untruthful the democrats messages and candidates may be, as a party they stand aligned daily with the mindset that the perception of their message becomes a reality for voters. The GOP must emulate their opponents vigilance with a conservative message that is clear, relatable and uplifting to the voters.

There will forever be factions of the American electorate that opt to take advantage of its well-intended welfare systems than their own God given talents. And there will always be politicians such as Barack Obama that promise the electorate false utopias energized by destructive policies, cherry coated with bribes, lies and divisiveness. Conservative makes no such promises. Conservatism recognizes humankind’s innate desire to maximize their God given talents and endeavors to lay the foundations for a society to enable man’s potential. This was the vision for America’s founders that caused America to be the greatest country in the history of humankind.

Conservatism rejects the Obama-led progressive/socialist new normal that inhibits potential and is designed to lull Americans into a catatonic state of mediocrity. To quote Pope John Paul II, “Do not be satisfied with mediocrity! The world will offer you comfort. But you were not made for comfort. You were made for greatness.” In the GOP’s quest to craft a coherent message that represents conservatism and resonates with the electorate, the late Pontiff’s remarks are an excellent starting point.

Spielberg’s Lincoln Isn’t Pro-Obama

As most people, I went and saw Lincoln.  I’m no fan of biopics, but this one was rather good. In fact, it was excellent.  Daniel Day-Lewis will probably win another Academy Award for Best Actor, and it was not a pro-Obama film.  Many conservatives feared that the movie would be allegorical about the 44th president.  Steven Spielberg, Tony Kushner, and Doris Kearns Goodwin are liberal, but the film focused on how the 16th president delicately maneuvered to have slavery abolished in this country.  There is nothing liberal, or conservative, about this point in history.  I hope both sides would agree that slavery is unjust.

When Lincoln is told that the 13th Amendment was two votes shy of the 2/3 majority needed, he reminded the congressman, and some members of his cabinet, that those votes must be ascertained.  When questioned how to do that Lincoln said, “I am the President of the United States, clothed with immense power, and I expect you to procure those votes.”  Some of my conservative friends say that it’s a pro-Obama scene. I disagree.

Lincoln was a war president – and war presidents wield extraordinary power.  This isn’t controversial. It’s fact.  Furthermore, this film was in production for over ten years.  Spielberg bought the rights to Goodwin’s book in 2001, which is long before Barack Obama was on the national stage.

What should be noted is that the film shows how Lincoln was uncompromising on his position about slavery and its abolition.  He employed political operatives who used unscrupulous methods to secure votes for the amendment’s passage in the House.  Furthermore, it showed the political genius of Lincoln.  He carefully maneuvered through the dynamics of the 13th Amendment and the planning of the Hampton Roads Conference – which was a failed attempt to end the war in February of 1865.  The Confederate delegation insisted on their independence, and no deal was made.

However, Lincoln knew that if such news would break, the amendment would be finished.  Why pass such a poisonous amendment that everyone knew would be a deal breaker with the Confederacy?  Nevertheless, Lincoln’s considerable political acumen prevented disaster, and slavery was outlawed.

As I mentioned before, the film shows how compromise isn’t always the best option.  Furthermore, in politics, you’re going to have to get down into the gutter to get things done.  Barack Obama is always talking about compromise, or gives off the veneer that he’s willing to do so, but fails miserably at achieving his goals. He’s a loser.  Whereas, Lincoln saved the country, won the Civil War, and abolished slavery.  If liberal Hollywood wanted to make this film as a comparison to Obama, then they should have picked someone else.

Second, Obama would’ve hated the tactics Lincoln used to pass the amendment.  Third, Goodwin’s book was called Team of Rivals.  Lincoln had one of his political rivals in his cabinet, Edwin Stanton, to serve as Secretary of War, which was, and remains to be, a very powerful position since its reincarnation as Defense Secretary.

Do you think Obama would appoint a Republican to an equally powerful position under similar circumstances?  Lastly, Lincoln, as I’ve said before, accomplished his legislative goal.  The keyword is accomplished.

In the end, Lincoln is our greatest president.  Not only because he abolished slavery – but he also began the process that developed into the national identity we hold today.  After 1865, Americans began viewing themselves as Americans.  Prior to 1865, an intense regionalism was ingrained into our socioeconomic fabric where states were viewed as separate countries.  As such, without the evolution of such a uniting force, Americans wouldn’t have come together as strongly as we did during the Spanish-American War, World War II, or on 9/11.  Barack Obama is never, and will never, set forth a new identity like the one Lincoln managed to construct after winning the Civil War.  He simply can’t since he’s not American.  He is a citizen by birth, but concerning understanding the social dynamics and traditions of America – he’s as hopeless as Jefferson Davis.

The Fiscal Cliff Swindle And the Future of A Republic

So, now that Obama has been re-elected it seems the entire Republican Party Establishment, including the talking heads, are showing their real agenda and their lack of honor once again.  How many members of Congress have now reneged on their pledge to not raise taxes?  Sen. Saxby Chambliss and Rep. Peter King have been prominent among those of the GOP (Globalist Oligarchy Party) to join Speaker John Boehner and his chief henchman Eric Cantor in running up the white flag.  At the same time they are sneering at the very people who have supported them based on their promises to cut spending and lower taxes on everyone, thereby avoiding the “Fiscal Cliff” in the first place. 

I have screamed at the top of my lungs about who and what the Republican Establishment stands for and what their true intentions entail.  George H. W. Bush turned on We the People and reneged on his promises of “no new taxes”.  Then George W. Bush, the “compassionate conservative”, broke every promise he made to get elected and then re-elected. “Four more years to complete the program” is not a new tactic by the Obama Crime Syndicate.  Karl “Marx” Rove used the very same tactic as effectively as did David Axelrod.

Republicans have marched leftward, along with Democrats, in creating the “fiscal cliff” they promised to prevent if we voted for them in 2010.  Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Ok, has the answer but Republican Party leaders ignore him.  Coburn, DeMint, and Rand Paul are as despised and hated by the Party insiders as are We the People.  We are told they have to give in on every promise they made in those past elections to save the nation.  The political parties and their propaganda outlets once again tell us that the solution to our fiscal and moral dilemmas are more of the same policies both parties have followed for the past 25 years , the policies that got us here.  

For the last two years Republicans have done nothing but whine about “we only have control of one-half of one-third of government” while they reneged on every promise they made to get elected in 2010.  And what did they do when they had total control of the government in the past?  The “Patriot” Act, TSA, “No Child Left Behind” and the rest of the niceties Bush left us are still with us, supported by the same Republicans who always promise to cut the size of government to get elected and then promptly expand the government footprint in our lives.  How long will it take for enough people to demand they do what they promised us they would do?  Oh, wait, didn’t we do this once before?  The TEA Party comprised 67% of We the People who swept Republicans into office in record numbers nationally, statewide, and locally in 2010.  Three million less voted for Republicans in 2012 than did in 2008.  Something like eight million less voted for Democrats.  That is a sad commentary on the satisfaction and confidence producing citizens have in their government.

And as to the Democrats, what did they have to say about 67% of We the People and our opinions as to how our nation should be managed?  They called us racist, sexist, Islamophobic, homophobic, Nazi terrorists.  In the last two years I have not seen Democrats moderate their views of We the People, and the Republicans who dismissed us in 2010 are now blaming us for the mess our country is in.  I said in 2009 that if Boehner and McConnell were in charge of the Republican Party nothing would change for the better.  I wish I had been wrong but I based my opinions on their past records and the way they minced words to avoid taking a stand without an escape clause.

I am with Herman Cain on his call for a third political party.  We don’t have much time to take our nation back, and with “representation” like this it won’t happen.  We the People need Herman Cain, Sarah Palin, Lloyd Marcus, Sen. Jim DeMint, Sen. Rand Paul, Rep. Louis Gohmert, Rep. Michele Bachman, Tim Cox of GOOOH, Matt Kibbe of Freedom Works, and others to band together and lead a conservative movement that will truly represent the 67% that make up the TEA Party.  If these leaders join forces officially to create a political party I believe the conservatives in this nation will show the same vigor we saw in 2009. 

The reason Romney lost, like McCain in 2008, is that they don’t represent the 67% who are trying very hard to support the Republican Party.  Boehner, McConnell, Graham, McCain, Chambliss, King, and many others are not now and never will be conservative.  If Peggy Noonan, Bill Kristol, and their ilk are conservative I am ten feet tall.  The TEA Party majority made a huge difference in the 2010 mid-term elections but found our voices ignored once the election was over.  Politicians and media talking heads who are allegedly on the side of We the People now call us radicals for standing on The Constitution of the United States of America.   Hmmm, haven’t I seen this movie before?

If the right people will band together for the good of the nation they will find support among the citizens.  The 67% aren’t dead, they are frustrated by liars who make promises to get elected and immediately turn on them like they are the enemy.  If those I mentioned can show they truly have the best interests of the citizens as their priority they can be a force in 2014, if our Republic can survive that long.  We need people of honor and character who have the courage to back up their words with action.  We don’t need any more of what the Republican Party Establishment is doing now, nor do we need the increase in pandering to the moochers and looters being offered by them for the future. I believe it is fruitless to try to change the Republican Party.  They have gone the way of the Democrat Party.  Republicans seem to be intent on competing with the Democrat Party for the votes of those with their hands out, and disparage those who make this nation thrive.  Keeping poor people poor and dependent on government seems to be the plan of both political parties.

If the results of the 2010 election, the actions of Republicans since, and the results of the 2012 elections are not enough to show everyone where Conservatives stand in the eyes of the Republican Party Establishment I don’t know what will accomplish that.  The left turns of this nation have to stop and 67% of We the People are looking for leadership, someone to truly represent our views and our standards.  We need a group of patriots who will step up, band together, and offer conservatives a political party that we can believe in.  I firmly believe they will draw strong support from registered voters of both political parties.  There are a lot of disenfranchised Democrats in America who aren’t being represented any better by their party.  We may not have enough time to save our Republic but we certainly aren’t going to save it continuing on the path we are on now.  A third political party has become our only option to reverse course and save a nation for future generations.

My Prediction: Romney Wins Comfortably

The day has arrived.  In about twenty-four hours, the stains of Barack Obama will be wiped clean and honor and dignity will be restored to The White House under President-elect Mitt Romney.  It hasn’t been an easy road.  Conservatives waged a brutal primary battle that left us with a scarred nominee – Romney – coming out of the gate to take on President Obama in the general.  However, he licked his wounds, redeployed his campaign assets, and was laser focused on Barack Obama’s miserable record of debt, deficits, and high unemployment.  As a result, he’s polling slightly ahead of the President on Election Eve, and I’m confident Governor Romney will be the next President of the United States.

Granted there were some bumps in the road.  The last week of August and the whole month of September were especially lackluster – but his resounding and decisive victory in the first, and most important, presidential debate altered the electoral map in a way liberals couldn’t imagine.  His surge in the polls with women decimated Obama’s double-digit lead amongst women, and Romney’s double-digit lead amongst independents will prove valuable in the generals, as well as the down ticket races in the House and Senate.  Right now, I have Gov. Romney winning the 2012 Election with 289 electoral votes to Obama’s 249.  Some pundits, like George Will, predict a 321 Electoral landslide for Mitt Romney, but I’m more reserved.

First, to even begin to contemplate such a mandate, Romney needs to win Pennsylvania – a state that hasn’t gone Republican since 1988.  While some polls show that the races is tied (Romney is shown trailing by 2-4 points on D+8 polls) – I’m just not ready to bet the mortgage on a state we have failed to lock up for almost a quarter century.  Granted, the 2011 county courthouse races were indicative that Democrats in the western part of the state – the bitter clingers who are mostly pro-life and pro-gun rights – were getting sick of liberal policies.  Republicans took Westmoreland County for the first time in fifty years.  Now, Republicans control 51 of the 67 counties in PA, with most of the inroads being in the western part of the state.  Republican media consultant Michael  Hudome wrote on The Daily Caller on Nov. 2 that “half of the NRA membership in the entire country is within a four-hour drive of Pittsburgh.”

Recent electoral results signal a Republican surge in the Commonwealth. Conservative Pat Toomey was elected to the Senate in 2010 despite the best efforts of the White House.

Republicans control 12 of Pennsylvania’s 18 congressional seats. In the crucial Philadelphia suburbs, Democrats were only able to offer token opposition to Congressmen Mike Fitzpatrick and Patrick Meehan this year. In those critical counties near Philly, Governor Romney is a perfect fit for Independent and Republican women. Polls suggest there is no gender gap.

This election, voter intensity favors Republicans. Senator Bob Casey (of the Potted Plant Party) has his hands full with a challenge from businessman Tom Smith. Recent polls show that race is a toss-up.Given all these factors, it’s no wonder Romney and his allies have started an air war. In fact, Republicans have spent enough money on ads in Pennsylvania in the past week to fund a solid, month-long ad campaign in the state.

Furthermore, “semi-defrocked” Republican strategist Mike Murphy recently tweeted that if Romney is trailing by two in the PA polls – he wins Ohio.

In the end, it’ll all be about turnout, but I’m cautiously pessimistic about the Keystone State.  I think Obama will eek out a win here.  However, I will bet that  Tom Smith, the Republican Senate candidate, will defeat incumbent Democrat Bob Casey, Jr.  He made up a deficit of almost twenty points in the polls, and flooded the state with ads to hammer at Casey.  It has worked.  The race is a virtual tie. With Casey’s nonexistent campaign and low enthusiasm from Democratic voters, I think Smith will win.

Now, concerning the Buckeye State, Obama is trying to over-perform in the auto/industrial areas of Toledo and Akron.  However, in an election where Democratic enthusiasm isn’t nearly as high as Republicans, it’ll be an uphill struggle.  Whereas Mitt Romney is taking a page from George W. Bush in ’04 centering on the southeast portion of the state – coal country – and the swing suburbs around Cincinnati.  As of now, the race is tied – but The American Spectator’s Robert Stacy McCain has been on the Romney campaign crawl and posted this on Election Eve.

[ Ali] Akbar [Republican operative] stayed up all night Saturday poring over Ohio early-voting totals, comparing them to previous elections, studying recent Buckeye State polls, and crunching the numbers before waking me up before 8 a.m. Sunday to declare, “We’ve got Ohio.” His analysis of the early-vote numbers and his interpretation of the latest Columbus Dispatch poll as bad news for Obama quickly inspired an online buzz among Republicans who have been worried sick over Ohio. Even at the mid-October apex of Romney’s surge, the Republican never led the Real Clear Politics average of polls in this crucial battleground state. Although Obama’s lead has never been large — as of Sunday, he led the RCP Ohio average by 2.8 points — it has been remarkably persistent, prompting much theorizing about the factors behind it. The economy in Ohio hasn’t been quite as hard-hit as some other states; unemployment is only 7 percent. Ads from the Obama campaign have hit Romney hard for his opposition to the GM and Chrysler bailout, a reasonably popular measure in Ohio, where auto manufacturing jobs are a vital part of the state’s economy.

However, it’s a false narrative considering that Mr. Romney’s plan would have also saved the auto industry, which was reaffirmed in yesterday’s Wall Street Journal by auto expert Edward Niedermeyer.  However, the trend with overall early voting doesn’t favor Obama.  Gallup stated that 15% of the electorate has already voted and they’re splitting 52%-46% in Romney’s favor.


Given the Obama administration’s ‘War on Coal,’ I will hedge my bets that there will be a high turnout from these counties adjacent to the Appalachian Trail, but if Hamilton County swings Republican, we can all breath a sigh of relief.

In Wisconsin, I didn’t give this to Romney because it’s Paul Ryan’s home state, and therefore, a safe win.  As George Will aptly noted back in April:

 …in the 16 elections since World War II, 10 presidential candidates have failed to carry the home state of their vice presidential running mates. Gov. Earl Warren could not carry California for Tom Dewey in 1948; Sen. Estes Kefauver could not carry Tennessee for Adlai Stevenson in 1956; former senator Henry Cabot Lodge could not carry Massachusetts for Richard Nixon in 1960; Rep. Bill Miller could not carry New York for Barry Goldwater in 1964; Gov. Spiro Agnew could not carry Maryland for Nixon in 1968; Sargent Shriver could not carry Maryland for George McGovern in 1972; Rep. Geraldine Ferraro could not carry New York (or women, or even her congressional district) for Walter Mondale in 1984; Sen. Lloyd Bentsen could not carry Texas for Michael Dukakis in 1988; Jack Kemp could not carry New York for Bob Dole in 1996; Sen. John Edwards could not carry North Carolina for John Kerry in 2004.

No, it’s because no state has swung more to the right in the Midwest than Wisconsin.  They booted incumbent Democratic Senator Russ Feingold for Ron Johnson, elected Gov. Scott Walker, and took tow formerly Democratic congressional districts that covers most of the northern part of the state in 2010. Additionally, Republicans took control of both chambers of the state legislature as well.  Furthermore, Gov. Scott Walker became the only governor in American history to survive a recall attempt last June receiving more votes than he did in the 2010 gubernatorial race.  Wisconsin State Senate Republicans also faced a recall of their own on two separate occasions.  The first salvo being fired in August of 2011, where Republicans maintained the majority. The second occurred in 2012, where Democrats gained control, but turned out to be a useless exercise since the the general session will not begin until after November 2012, when the seats will be contested again.

While the race is tied, given the reaffirmation of Walker’s policies, the infrastructure Walker has built to successfully maintain his residency in the Governor’s Mansion, and the conservative swing of the state’s electorate – suffice to say that a Romney victory here is likely. Disrupting the pattern where Wisconsin has gone Democratic in nine of the last ten presidential races.

In Indiana, Romney is ahead – on average – by 9.5 points.  Safe state.

In North Carolina, Romney is up by 3.  Given that the State Democratic Party of NC was distracted by a sex scandal and was saddled with an unpopular Democratic Governor, Bev Purdue, Romney should win the state. And Republicans will take the Governor’s mansion for Pat McCrory – the Mayor of Charlotte.  When he’s elected, McCrory will be the third Republican in the past thirty-nine years.

In Florida, it looks as if “Romney has pretty much nailed [it] down,” according to Guy Benson.  Ed Morrissey at Hot Air added to this sentiment noting a poll from the Tampa Bay Times and Miami Herald showing Gov. Romney with a comfortable six point lead.

Florida continues to look good for Mitt Romney. The Republican holds a 6-point lead in the state essential to his hopes of defeating President Barack Obama, according to a new Tampa Bay Times/Bay News 9/Miami Herald poll.

The poll shows slight tightening, with Romney’s 51-45 lead down 1 percentage point from the Times’ statewide poll a month ago. …

Still, nearly every key indicator in theTimes’ pre-Election Day poll reveals Romney’s advantage in a state Obama won four years ago.

Florida voters trust Romney more to fix the economy and give him an edge, 50 percent to 48 percent, on who will look out more for the middle class — a stark turn from past months when Obama and his allies unleashed a barrage of TV ads portraying Romney as an out-of-touch corporate raider.

Romney even has a slight advantage on foreign policy, with 2 percent more voters saying they trust him over Obama, who has faced criticism over the fatal attack on a U.S. consulate in Libya.

The Herald has an interesting analysis, one that confounds the national media narrative.  Romney now gets more crossover votes than Obama, contra to the common assumption that independents are proto-Republicans and Romney has trouble with his base:

Romney’s strengths: independent voters and more crossover support from Democrats relative to the Republicans who back Obama, according to the survey conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research.

Real Clear Politics Average has Romney with a 1.5 point advantage over the president going into Election Day.

 

Virginia will be a squeaker, but given the coal counties to the far western parts of the state, especially around the town of Grundy, I think Mitt will have success.   Ed Morrissey, who along with Allahpundit and most of the full-time staff, have been doing an excellent job detailing the recent polls and debunking the liberal drivel.  He wrote that:

Mitt Romney still earns 50% support in Virginia just before Election Day.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Virginia Voters shows Romney with 50% of the vote to President Obama’s 48%. One percent (1%) likes another candidate, and another one percent (1%) is undecided.

This is unchanged from two weeks ago and the week before that when it was Romney 50%, Obama 47%.

This one’s tight enough to look at the internals, which are somewhat surprising given the closeness of the toplines.  Obama actually loses the overall gender gap by three points (-7 among men, +4 among women), but he’s also losing independents in Virginia by 21 points, 58/37.  In 2008, Obama had a +11 in the gender gap and won independents by one point, 49/48.  The D/R/I in this sample is D+2 at 38/36/25; in 2008 it was 39/33/27 but in 2009′s gubernatorial election it was 33/37/30.

Romney wins the economic argument by six points, 51/45 over Obama.  There’s a significant gender gap on this question as well, but it also favors Romney (+10 among men, +1 among women).  Romney has a 25-point lead among independents on this question, 58/33.  On the other hand, Obama does have a positive job-approval rating at 51/49, which is probably why the toplines look as close as they do.  I’d guess, though, that Virginia’s going to break significantly for Romney

Lastly, New Hampshire is a bet.  Obama is ahead of Romney by two points, but I will take a gamble, and say  that Romney will take the “Live Free or Die” state due to depressed turnout and a little luck.  It’s my wild card.  Either way, it doesn’t matter.  It’s for fun.

Right now, it’s all about turnout.  Republicans are more enthused to vote this cycle.The Huffington Post posted about Chuck Todd’s breakdown of  Republican voter enthusiasm.  Here’s what he said on Meet The Press on October 7, which was the Sunday after the first presidential debate.

CHUCK TODD: Well, it’s simply an enthusiasm gap. And we’re seeing it across the board. Look at here in this first one. 79% of Republicans call themselves extremely interested in this election. On a scale of one to ten, that means they said they’re a nine or a ten on interest in the election. 73% of Democrats.

Look at four years ago. It was a 13 point gap in favor of the Democrats. Let me go through some various voting groups. This is an important voting group. Seniors are an important voting group to Mitt Romney now. He leads them by about 10 points in our NBC Wall Street Journal poll. Look at this in engagement in the election. Four years ago was 81%, pretty higher. Even higher this time at 87%. And Romney’s doing better among seniors than McCain did.

Let me go to an important voting group for the president, young voters. Look at this engagement level: 52% now they call themselves, voters 18 to 34, call themselves extremely interested in this election. Four years ago it was 72%. That 20 gap. The president wins young voters by huge margins. He’s winning them by some 20-plus points. But if you don’t have this kind of enthusiasm, they’re not going to show up to the polls.

And then let me give you this last one here, because this is, I think, the most important one. And that’s Hispanics. The President’s winning Hispanics by 50 points. He hit the 70% mark. However, look at this in terms of interest in the election. 59% now, it was 77%. What does that mean? President got 65%, I believe, of Hispanics four years ago.

So even though he’s going to get more Hispanics, if less of them turn out, it’s a net zero. And yet, you look at Republican enthusiasm, up, senior enthusiasm, up. It’s a huge problem. And by the way, all of this, pre-debate.

Furthermore, liberals are citing polls based on 2008 turnout levels that oversample Democratic voters.  A D+13 poll isn’t an accurate gauge in this election.  We’ve had an unemployment rate above 8% for over forty consecutive months – with the rate being over 9% for twenty-six of those months.  We have $6 trillion in new debt, 23 million unemployed, and a litany of new regulations.  What has Obama shown for this investment in trickle down government?   

We have seen an anemic economic recovery, with our third quarter growth at an insipid 2%.  President Obama is the personification of the dependency agenda.  A pernicious crusade to establish a hyper-regulatory progressive state and break all institutions within our nation to the will of Washington.  More women have lost their jobs under the Obama administration, and with women more on the economic frontlines, they’ve seen that the president may not be the best choice for their checkbook.

Granted, tonight will be a LONG night. So, make sure those coffee mugs are filled, Red Bulls are plentiful, and champagne fully stocked – because Republicans should be optimistic that Gov. Romney will soon be called ‘President Romney’ fairly soon.

 

 

AN UNREDEEMED PRESIDENCY

As election day draws near and the presidential campaigns execute their final strategies the winds of success appear to be at the backs of the Romney/Ryan team, and it’s not too imperious to envisage a Romney/Ryan victory. It appears that a significant part of the electorate agrees with the title of Niall Ferguson’s cogent essay entitled “Obama’s Gotta Go”. As we eagerly await their promising triumph on November 6th and, risking impetuousness, we deign to contemplate what a Romney presidency will resemble in its maiden year.

From any perspective, looking forward, President Romney will undoubtedly have to play the part of America’s master repairman.  He has the unenviable task of repaving America’s avenue of exceptionalism, a road rendered potholed and fractured by the Obama administration. There are considerable fixes Romney the new renovator-in-chief must undertake, and if anyone is deserved of a “blame Obama” free pass it will be the new Chief Executive. But leaders don’t blame, they take responsibility for their actions, so it’s doubtful President Romney will exhibit behavior beneath his character and the office of the presidency.

President Romney will have to refurbish America’s ruptured domestic economic environment laden with Obama’s absurdist wealth redistribution policies and profligate spending sprees. He will have to remake a hegemonic America in decline due to President Obama’s feckless appeasement of America’s enemies and indifference and disregard towards its allies. But perhaps President Romney’s most daunting task for renovating America’s path of exceptionalism will be to restore a united America torn asunder by an Obama-led class warfare crusade. A crusade pitting American against American to assuage his personal disdain for a hallmark of Americanism embodied by the freedom loving rugged individualist who takes personal responsibility for their successes and failures. These are the very Americans President Obama fears and derides because he cannot control their independent spirit, intimidate their freedom of thought, nor render insecure their confident natures.

While a Romney presidency is committed to a renewal of American exceptionalism, the Obama presidency is only a remembrance of unfulfilled promise. The 2008 Obama pledges are legendary for their hollowness and now have the status of a parlor joke, to wit, “how is that hope and change working out for you?” Space does not permit the entire smorgasbord of utopias (over 500 by some accounts) offered up by candidate and President Obama. But because of their far-reaching consequences a few warrant call outs to capture the essence of his disappointing term. Candidate Obama professed he would revolutionize American governance by replacing backroom political cronyism with a presidency that would be “the most transparent administration in the history of our country”. It was candidate Obama who swore that he would reduce the national deficit in half by the end of his first term. In 2009 President Obama guaranteed that unemployment would be at 5.2% at the end of his first term and there would be 3% to 4% GDP growth in the final three years of his first term. There were the President’s infamous assurances that his ObamaCare legislation would be budget neutral, reduce premium costs and allow individuals to keep their existing coverage. The President avowed he would commence a “new beginning” between America and the Arab world through his policies of appeasement toward America’s enemies. These and the preponderance of other hopeful pieces of paradise promised by an Obama presidency are relegated to a wasteland of deceit and deception.

Obama partisans are chock full of excuses for the president’s fiascos.  Some justify President Obama’s failures due to his executive inexperience, so perhaps Mr. Obama ran afoul of one of the cardinal rules of business, which is to never over promise and under deliver. But his devotees also plead that now since that he has gotten his feet wet give him four more years. But, to quote one of Vice-President Joe Biden’s few lucid remarks, “…the presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training.” Some of the president’s acolytes have chalked up his failures as a consequence of his predecessor’s policies igniting the “blame Bush” strategy. If that is at play, and since every president inherits some undesirable policies and unfavorable domestic and geo-political environments, then it is reason enough to man the Oval office with someone who can live up to the challenges of the presidency. Finally, in keeping with the Obama finger-pointing presidency, the President’s disciples accuse the republicans in congress of partisanship and obstruction. This is mendacious and preposterous given that the Obama policies, which laid the groundwork for America’s current decline, were undertaken in the President’s first two years in office, a period in which the democrats controlled both the Senate and the House of Representatives.

The Obama presidency was unique for both it’s promise and it’s fortification. Without any notable experience to speak of on the part of candidate Obama an adoring mainstream media colluded with an ingenious presidential campaign to successfully fabricate the illusion of a candidate that was infallible and omnipotent. Candidate Obama was lauded and praised as the savior for the woes of the American Republic and he would right the injustices of the past with a wave of his majestic hand. From the failed, pork ridden stimulus to the Benghazi tragedy with flyovers to ObamaCare, Solyndra and his Middle East “American Apology Tour” the media’s coddling continued into his presidency while President Obama’s advisers strove feverishly to enable, defend and rationalize his failures. But the President’s aura of entitlement and enablement were ironically the causes of his failures and disappointments.

However it was how he failed that signifies the tragedy of his presidency. America’s post-modern presidential version of the “emperor with no clothes” luxuriated in praise and fumed at criticism. Handed every opportunity to succeed he stubbornly ignored the obvious manifestations of his failed socialist ideologies. He dug in his heels insisting on an economic agenda that wreaked havoc and misery on the middle class, the very group he claimed to champion in his class warfare campaign. His lethargic foreign engagement characterized as “leading from behind” emboldened America’s enemies resulting in a much more dangerous and tumultuous world for America than when he took office.

In spite of the dangers to America’s economic and international well being, the future of the Republic and his disregard for his oath of office the President was obdurate in his single mindedness. The Constitution is clear as to the president’s responsibilities and President Obama disregarded his solemn oath which was “to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.” Perhaps it is his ability that is at issue.

But the time for entertaining excuses or conjecture is over. In the parlance of the President’s many “let me be clear” moments it is now history’s time to write the Obama epitaph. Historians, unlike the President’s sycophants, will not justify his failures nor inoculate his shortcomings. As with all Presidents Mr. Obama’s presidency will be reviewed and recollected historically on the merits of his accomplishments. He was dealt a hand that he willingly accepted and he failed to deliver. It was President Obama’s personal decision to selfishly satiate his personal dogmata at the expense of his sworn responsibility to act as steward of America’s welfare. For that reason he shall not be forgiven, and for that reason the Obama presidency’s epitaph will forever be known as an unredeemed presidency.

Twitter, Secret Service, and Executive Orders, Oh My!

The expansion of social media, and most especially twitter has created a new and powerful way in which citizens within the United States and everywhere around the world interact with each other.  This new and wondrous form of interaction has changed the way information is shared, it has impacted person lives, political lives, and hollywood lives, and has also assist in gather information from protests and riots throughout the Middle-East.  This 140 character mechanism has changed the face of information sharing, and gathering, and allowed for faster personal contact, and changed the lives of those who use it.

If you are concerned that your neighbor might be tweeting something mean or dangerous about you, have no fear, the Secret Service is here!

The Secret Service has now expanded their “sphere” of influence to the twitter realm as well.  On October 23rd, the Secret Service tweeted out to their 44,000 followers that if you are see a tweet from your fellow citizen that might “concern you,” to report it to the them.  CNSNEWS reports that;

“To report a tweet that concerns you, call the nearest field office in your state,” the Secret Service tweeted on Oct. 23.  The agency then links to a list of contact numbers for Field Offices in each state.

The Next day, October 24th, the Secret Service followed up with another tweet which said; “Contact your nearest field office with times sensitive or critical info or to report a tweet.”

The Secret Service is not the only government agency that has recently expanded its powers.

This new executive order establishes a new council that will “provide guidance” and have a member from 19 different committees from the legislature.  Everything from the Department of State, Labor, Energy, Education, and many many more.

President Barack Obama signed a new executive order on October 26th 2012.

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and in order to advance the Federal Government’s use of local partnerships to address homeland security challenges, it is hereby ordered as follows:
Section 1. Policy. The purpose of this order is to maximize the Federal Government’s ability to develop local partnerships in the United States to support homeland security priorities. Partnerships are collaborative working relationships in which the goals, structure, and roles and responsibilities of the relationships are mutually determined. Collaboration enables the Federal Government and its partners to use resources more efficiently, build on one another’s expertise, drive innovation, engage in collective action, broaden investments to achieve shared goals, and improve performance. Partnerships enhance our ability to address homeland security priorities, from responding to natural disasters to preventing terrorism, by utilizing diverse perspectives, skills, tools, and resources.
The National Security Strategy emphasizes the importance of partnerships, underscoring that to keep our Nation safe “we must tap the ingenuity outside government through strategic partnerships with the private sector, nongovernmental organizations, foundations, and community-based organizations. Such partnerships are critical to U.S. success at home and abroad, and we will support them through enhanced opportunities for engagement, coordination, transparency, and information sharing.” This approach recognizes that, given the complexities and range of challenges, we must institutionalize an all-of-Nation effort to address the evolving threats to the United States.
The fact that these two agencies have now expanded their out reach in the same 3 day period remains to be seen.  The fact remains that the Federal Government has expanded its powers, and observational capacity, and is asking for your help.

Mitt Romney Is Wrong On Defense Department Cuts

Mitt Romney has made the prevention of President Barack Obama’s sequestration plan one of his primary campaign talking points. He’s probably done this for two reasons: it plays well with voters in Virginia and veterans, but it also helps with those who want the U.S. to have the strongest military possible.

There’s nothing wrong with the U.S. having a strong military; the Constitution says the country must be able to defend its borders. However, the country is dealing with $16-trillion in debt which means some cuts have to happen. It’s here where Romney is wrong on an increase in defense spending.

For the sake of America’s financial future, there have to be cuts to defense and changes to how the Pentagon doles out cash. Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz wants the State Department to start prioritizing spending. The Defense Department needs to do this as well. The way to figure this out is through Senator Rand Paul’s suggested audit of the Pentagon.

The best example of how wasteful the Pentagon can be is a look at military auctions websites. Listings include a stroller, weights, a driving simulator, a Piper Arrow IV aircraft, a Vantage Motor Scooter and a 1978 Corvette. The weights make sense because soldiers need to be in shape. The driver simulator makes sense as well, because it’s cheaper to use a simulator than wreck a vehicle. But having a motor scooter or a Corvette in our military inventory makes zero sense whatsoever. Here is where cuts help the military prioritize spending and eliminate waste.

There can also be reforms into how military contracts are handed out. Citizens Against Government Waste has done an excellent job at pointing out some of the problems, including analysis on defense issues (anyone remember the $640 toilet seat?).

Just because spending cuts happen doesn’t mean the U.S. military can’t recoup some of the money lost. The simplest way is to go through some of the surplus warehouses, find things which are valuable and sell them. Michelle Ray has told the story of how someone she knows made a 200% profit minimum by stripping the copper from spools of wire and selling it. If private citizens can do this, why can’t the military?

The military could also save money by selling aircraft and weapons it doesn’t use. Obviously there are concerns about Iran getting a hold of some technology; however, completely scrapping the entire F-14 Tomcat fleet in 2006 makes zero sense. The sale of the airplanes to Israel or Brazil or Taiwan would help offset some of the cuts. A similar solution could be devised for our fleet at sea.

Military cuts don’t have to mean gutting the armed forces. Senator Pat Toomey has proposed a plan which reduces spending in all areas and yet still makes sure the military is strong. A strong military ensures the country can defend itself from foreign threats the natural borders with the Atlantic and Pacific oceans can’t. It also makes sure our bases and embassies across the globe are protected from threats.

But as former Joint Chief of Staff chair Admiral Mike Mullen has said, the national debt is the greatest threat the U.S. has. Spending and the growth of government need to be stopped.

This means no sacred cows. Not if there’s going to be a financial future for the U.S.
