This Is Not Let’s Make A Deal and David Axelrod is Not Monty Hall

The White House re-election campaign wants to make a deal.  In exchange for GOP presidential challenger Mitt Romney releasing five years of tax returns, they will stop criticizing him for not releasing more.  While hiding behind the skirt of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, the White House campaign alleges there may be as many as ten years when Romney evaded paying income taxes.

Romney says that over the past decade he has paid at least 13 percent in federal income taxes.  According to the Joint Committee on Taxation, a non-partisan group, middle income families average paying 12.8 percent in federal income tax.

Critics complain that Romney pays too few taxes.  At his income level, Romney pays plenty of taxes.  Romney made every penny he has.  Hence every dime he uses to make investments has already been taxed at wage income rates.  Romney pays a lower tax rate than wage earners because a majority of his income comes from investments, which are taxed at a lower rate than wages.  Investment income is taxed at a lower rate because, unlike wages, investments are at risk.

If Romney was guilty of income tax evasion, the IRS would already be after him and his campaign for the White House would long be over.  The IRS falls within the Department of Treasury.  At the behest of the White House, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and the IRS would be all over Romney like a ravenous pack of hyenas.

Romney has released his 2010 tax records and vowed to release his 2011 returns.  That matches the number of returns released in 2008 by Senator John McCain when he was the GOP candidate.  The number of tax returns released by McCain was never an issue.

This is not Let’s Make A Deal, and David Axelrod is not Monty Hall.  For Mitt Romney only a booby prize or worse waits behind curtain number three.

This bait and switch by the White House and their “progressive” co-conspirators is more than simply a distraction from the issues.

Throughout a shadowy, veiled, mystery shrouded political career where his own past has been intentionally concealed, obtaining confidential information about political opponents and distorting that information to smear them has been the signature move of this candidate.

Remember, the current Oval Office occupier is the same clandestine, shadowy figure caught in an open-mic moment with then Russian president Dmitry Medvedev saying that after his re-election he would have “more flexibility”.

Flexibility for…?

Three members of a Russian punk band were found guilty and sentenced to two years in jail for protesting against Russian president Vladamir Putin.   The band members were arrested on March 3rd and charged with “hooliganism”.  Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, 22, Maria Alyokhina, 24, and Yekaterina Samutsevich, 30 have been in jail ever since.

What kind of flexibility is this secretive, anti-business, hostile to constitutionally protected individual Liberty White House promising to a Russian president who imprisons people for free speech?

Is this flexibility related to the Department of Homeland Security, the Social Security Administration, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Internal Revenue Service each purchasing multi-thousands of rounds of hollow point bullets?

Could this flexibility include plans to tighten the iron grip of power by imposing Martial Law and suspending elections to ensure he can finish the “fundamental transformation” of America through the imposition of a form of government completely foreign to every principle espoused by its Founding Fathers?

By agreeing to release any additional tax returns, Mitt Romney would be making a crucial mistake.  Let the White House re-election campaign go into grand mal seizure.  Let them scream like banshees and howl at the moon.  Let them cry like babies.  Let them wet themselves.  Let them posture, threaten, intimidate and bully.  You can bet your underwater sub-prime mortgage they will do anything, be it lie, cheat and steal to win this election.

To borrow a phrase from another popular television game show: No deal.

White House: Talk About Anything But Our Record

Ever since the 2009 GM bailout by “progressive” big government ended the pensions of 20,000 retirees at Delphi auto parts manufacturing, the White House and the Department of Treasury have laid the blame on the steps of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.

Internal government emails have been obtained that show the U.S. Treasury Department, run by Timothy Geithner, was behind those termininations.  All 20,000 of the pensions seem to have been ended strictly for the reason that those retirees did not belong to labor unions.

Perhaps the National Labor Relations Board was too busy preparing to harass another private sector company planning to hire non-union workers to get involved.

Meanwhile, Attorney General Eric Holder has yet to file any criminal charges against top Wall Street bankers with connections inside the Department of Justice or who had made political donations to the 2008 presidential campaign of the current White House occupant.

Over the years, both the Oval Office and Holder have talked tough, aggressively attacking big fat cat bankers, blaming their reckless speculation for the 2008 financial collapse.  The Government Accountability Institute has found that Holder still has not “filed a single criminal charge against any top executive of an elite financial institution.”

All talk no action.  Sound tough for the union organized OWS crowd, but do nothing to upset potential campaign donors.  The heck with credibility, the “progressive” Party Pravda will run interference for the re-election campaign.

Overseas, Iran has vowed it will not allow Assad to fall in Syria.

“Iran will never allow the resistance axis – of which Syria is an essential pillar – to break,” said Saeed Jalili, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council secretary.  The “axis of resistance” includes Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas, all of which are anti-Western and openly hostile towards Israel and the United States.

Assad reassured Jalili by saying: “The Syrian people and their government are determined to purge the country of terrorists and to fight the terrorists without respite.”

If Assad is overthrown, Iran will lose influence over Syria and a crucial link to Hezbollah.

Could it be that Muslim Brotherhood influence over the White House has surreptitiously led to policies that support the creation of a regional Caliphate?  What other way is there to logically explain policies that support rebellions to overthrow some Middle Eastern dictators, but not support rebellions hostile to the Iranian regime or its allies?

With so much baggage for the White House to carry through the campaign, their “Priorities” are to have their “progressive” allies run misleading ads that attempt to tie Mitt Romney to death.

Priorities USA Action, a super PAC supporting the Oval Office is running a new ad that blames Mitt Romney for a family losing health insurance which contributed to a woman dying from cancer.

It apparently makes no difference to the “progressive” super PAC that Romney left Bain Capital years before the GST Steel bankruptcy in 2001.  In addition, the cancer casualty Ranae Soptic died in 2006, long after the GST plant had been closed.

In another move to distract attention away from the dismal economic performance of the White House, the Oval Office occupier was overheard whispering to a top fundraiser that GOP presidential challenger Mitt Romney wants to name Gen. David Petraeus as his choice for Vice President.

The White House was more than happy to clutter the news cycle by dismissing the Drudge Report.  Anything to keep the pathetic economic record of the White House out of the headlines will suffice.

Press Secretary Jay Carney reminded reporters to “be mindful of your sources” when asked about the Petraeus rumor.  “I can say with absolute confidence, such an assertion has never been uttered by the president.  And again be mindful of your sources” said Carney.

And so it goes for the most open, transparent White House in American history.  They are more than happy to talk about anything but their own record.

Geithner: Obama’s Jobs Act costing taxpayers $200K per job is a ‘bargain’

“Turbo” Tim Geithner…. out of touch or just a turbo idiot?!

In an interview with ABC News, Geithner challenges Democrats to pass Obama’s jobs bill.

As usual, in what ABC sees as Geithner’s perceived ‘bargain’, it’s nothing but borrow, borrow, borrow… spend, spend, spend.

“We can borrow money for 10 years as the government of the United States because people have confidence in this country at less than 2 percent. The responsible path now is to take advantage of the unique position we’re in as a country. People have a lot of confidence in us. Let’s take advantage of that now to do things that help growth in the short-term.”

Trubo Tim Geither…. out of touch turbo idiot indeed!

Obama’s IRS to Target Charter Schools?

The last two weeks have been filled with stories of the Obama administration’s attack on religious organizations by forcing them to perform and/or pay for activities that are in direct opposition to their core beliefs. Now, it appears that the Obama administration is  targeting charter schools.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is challenging whether charter school teachers (typically non-unionized and unaffiliated with the NEA) should be eligible for state retirement plans – the same plans they have been contributing to for years.

Charter schools are public schools, but they work outside the typical NEA and union framework. They do receive taxpayer money, but there are some differences that the IRS is targeting. If the IRS is successful, it could force teachers into lower-performing traditional public schools over the new-era charter platform.

The Washintgon Times reported:

The proposed change would establish five criteria for determining eligibility in state retirement plans, the most troublesome of which, from the point of view of whether charter school teachers could participate, is a provision stating that “the governing officers either are appointed by state officials or publicly elected.” Another condition is that a government body must be responsible for all the debt a participating institution accumulates.

First, having a government official responsible for debt is the worst possible scenario an American tax payer can imagine. The inability of centralized government to manage tax payer funds has been documented over… and over… and over .. and.. well you get the point.

Second, the Internal Revenue Service is under President Obama by way of the department of the Treasury run by Mr. Timothy Geithner – yeah.. that guy. Geithner has been recently concerned over whether or not he would have a job should Barack Obama get re-elected and suddenly .. a new ruling more in-line with teacher’s unions than with the desires of American families.

Charter schools are steadily proving more effective than traditional schools by a wide margin. So much so that parents are having to put their kids into lotteries to hopefully gain entrance into the better schools.

Charter schools concentrate their funds on education. Some don’t offer bus service or spend money on extravagances such as cafeterias or theaters and the staff that must work those areas. That means more money for teachers and more time in the classroom.

The NEA is firmly against charter schools as are public sector unions. Both serve as special interest groups and lobby the administration – it would appear that special interests are more important than the will of the individual and  families – much like Obama’s recent oppressive attack on religious organizations in his attempt to get free contraception for all.

Charter schools are a mixed government and free-market alternative. They consistently out-perform full-public managed institutions and the big-government education groups are working to destroy them. Parents that have used them must organize against this overstep of government and special interest in order to preserve better choices for their children’s education.

Republicans Ensuring Obama’s Re-election

As we go further into the primary season I find the Republican Party doing more each day to ensure that Barack Obama gets re-elected in November. The establishment Republican elitists drove Herman Cain out of the running with a smear campaign of innuendo and accusation without one shred of evidence that any of these women were telling any semblance of truth. Truth didn’t matter, evidence didn’t matter; even to Republicans. The point was to drive out any conservative opponent in the running.

Rick Perry, the John Edwards plastic hair of the race, left the Democrat Party when he saw the winds of change bringing a Republican ascendency during the Reagan/Bush ’41 years. Perry isn’t now and never has been a conservative. In-state tuition and a “path to citizenship (amnesty)” for illegal aliens are not conservative positions, despite what Perry might think.

Once Cain had been eliminated Romney and Gingrich turned on each other in a manner befitting true liberals, or “Republican moderates” as the establishment likes to say. Gingrich berates Romney for making money using capitalism as his method. How can he say he is a conservative when he spends day upon day berating someone using the very system conservatives espouse?

Romney’s chief operative in Florida is busy working with Democrats to re-district Allen West out of the House of Representatives; Romney has destroyed the health care system and the economy of Massachusetts with Romneycare, and believes in the individual mandate. Of course, he mitigates the Romneycare issue by saying it is okay for the state but not the federal government to force citizens into purchasing something they don’t want. Gingrich also believes, or says he does, that the individual mandate is acceptable, even preferable. How is either one of them going to run a general election on abolishing Obamacare with these records? Not much of a difference from Obama to me.

Neither Romney nor Gingrich will bring up the issues that matter to We the People. I wonder why not. Gingrich rails at Romney for being a part of Bain Capitol but mentions not one word about Barack Obama having a former Bain executive in his inner circle. Why is this off the radar screen for Gingrich when he makes such a big deal about Romney’s Bain connection? Any mention of the nearly $500,000 in back taxes owed by current White House staff members while Obama rails at the “rich” who “don’t pay their fair share of taxes”? Or how about Timothy Geithner, the king of tax cheats? Not a word from Romney or Gingrich on Geithner either.

Just last week a lawsuit was heard in Georgia, Gingrich’s home state, dealing with the eligibility of Barack Obama to serve as president due to his not being a “natural born citizen”, a strategy developed by Republican candidate John Albert Dummett Jr., of California. You haven’t heard of Dummett because the ruling elite, including their propaganda arm FOX News, won’t give him the time of day. Just another annoying conservative; keep moving folks, nothing to see here. A ruling is expected very soon and is expected to keep Obama off the Georgia ballot. I watched the hearing and it was an impressive array of evidence showing that Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject, making our current president ineligible to hold the seat. One of the most significant political stories since Richard Nixon resigned due to Watergate, yet not a word from the two Republican front runners about it. I wonder why.

I keep hearing that Republicans need someone who can oust Barack Obama in November. I don’t seem to ever hear them mention what We the people need, or want for that matter. I wrote a few months ago, when Romney and Perry were “our only hope”, that we need to be careful what we ask for. Replacing Barack Obama with a clone is not the answer to our nation’s problems but that is where we are headed with Romney and Gingrich.

It seems Republicans are running to lose once again. This happened in 2008 with John McCain at the helm. He had the best prospect for election in Sarah Palin as his Vice-Presidential candidate but his handlers told her to keep quiet about Obama’s connections to Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright. Perceived weakness and a RINO candidate brought defeat and injected Barack Obama into office. I see today’s Republican Party playing the same losing game. They won’t touch Obama’s radical beginnings, the question of his eligibility, or his links to Wall Street money men.

Are the Republicans cowards or are they competing in this race to dissolve the United States of America into a Third World banana republic? I believe it is a combination of both. The party machine, elitist establishment is so afraid of being called “racist” or “extremist” that they refuse to take a stand on anything conservative. Even a dead fish can float downstream and today’s Republican Party is content to be a dead fish. Dead fish is what Romney and Gingrich offer us. Those of us who are willing to fight for freedom are a danger to their little dinghy capsizing in a tidal wave of conservatism and the establishment will do anything to prevent We the People from capsizing their boat. New World Order globalists own the Republican Party and conservatives are a danger to that ownership.

Right now the Republican Party sits back and criticizes Democrats but will not really jeopardize their seats in the back of the bus to stand with those of us who want true liberty to be restored in America. When the winds of change began to blow the way of conservatism during the Reagan years many Democrats wanted to jump on the bandwagon to continue their places of power in congress. Alan Specter is a classic example of this, as is Rick Perry.
Both, along with several others, changed over to the Republican Party and were welcomed with open arms by Gingrich and the Republican leaders in the Senate. I also remember them giving committee chairmanships to Democrats in the name of “civility” and “inclusiveness”. What happened? The Republican Party became almost as Marxist oriented as the Democrat Party. This compromising has led us to where we are now, a Republican Party dominated by “moderates” lacking either the courage or the desire to stand on conservative principles.

If voters compromise and “settle” for Romney or Gingrich our nation will lose our freedom, a freedom given by thousands who have died and suffered wounds in battle after battle against tyranny. If voters are willing to be dead fish and float downstream they will find a swamp of tyranny, despotism, and slavery at the end of that stream. It has happened many times in the past to other nations. France, Russia, Germany, Cuba, Venezuela, and many others have settled for the lesser of two evils only to find that evil is evil and the lesser of those evils sold them into slavery and despotism in the end.

As Neville Chamberlain found out in dealing with Adolph Hitler, appeasement and the compromise of values is always a losing proposition. People say that a third party candidate, or an out-of-the-establishment candidate like Dummett, cannot win so they won’t vote for one. The reason a third party or dark horse candidate can’t win is that too many people would rather take a chance on soft tyranny than stand up for total liberty; they would rather float downstream. We cannot preserve our freedom by floating downstream. Our founding fathers didn’t float downstream, the “Greatest Generation” didn’t float downstream and accept dictatorship from Hirohito and Hitler, and I won’t float downstream and accept dictatorship from Obama, Romney, or Gingrich. I will not accept tyranny from Democrats or Republicans.

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

Mack Introduces Resolution of No Confidence in Treasury Secretary Geithner in U.S. House

Congressman Connie Mack (R-FL) today announced that he will be introducing  to the House a resolution for a vote of no confidence in Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner. This vote mirrors the Senate proposal by Sen. Rand Paul last night.

The measure points out Geithner’s mismanagement of the U.S. economy as the reason for the vote and Rep. Mack said, “Secretary Geithner repeatedly predicted that if the debt limit was not raised, the stock markets would crumble and our nation’s AAA Credit Rating would be reduced. Despite some Members’ very public objections, the Congress as a whole went along and raised the debt ceiling as Geithner demanded. Immediately after, the foremost global financial markets fell precipitously, andStandard and Poor’s reduced  America’s Credit Rating.  In short everything Secretary Geithner promised would not happen has happened because we raised the debt ceiling.  It’s time for a change and I commend Senator Paul for taking the legislative lead to invoke change in the Administration.”

The failed promise Geithner made that the nation’s credit rating would never be downgraded is being added onto a growing stack of failures:

  • Promised more infrastructure spending would create jobs, the unemployment rate has hovered over 9%.
  • Promised never to embrace a strategy to weaken the U.S. dollar, the dollar has hit an all time low in value.

His recent statements that the U.S. could just print money to pay off any debt shows a real disconnect with the American people. Using the printing press to create a deluge of cash to pay off mounting debt would certainly decrease the value of the greenback and create massive inflation. The price increases on food, clothing, electricity and other needs would likely push many U.S. families over a financial cliff.

Mack concluded: “Secretary’s Geithner’s management of our nation’s assets is as appalling as asking hard-working Americans to pay more in taxes when he didn’t pay his own.  The writing was on the wall when Secretary Geithner was nominated by President Obama.”

These resolutions are non-binding and will likely have no effect other than raising awareness of the Treasury’s failure to get a handle on the American economy. In 1950, Congress successfully passed a vote of no confidence against Secretary of State Dean Acheson over his failure to report to Congress on the Truman-Churchill talks. The successful vote did eventually pressure Truman to answer that no commitments to Britain had been made for troops.

What is not immediately clear is what is expected from the motion against Geithner. Sen. Paul had demanded that the Secretary resign, but with no ability to enforce such a motion, little action is expected.

U.S. Takes it on the Chin; Administration Delivers No Plan .. Again

Obama DownThe news that America’s sovereign debt has taken a hit has been the top news story since Friday. But, the nation’s true crisis is that her leaders have decided to fight the downgrade rather than create a strategy to fix the underlying issue: we’re spending more than we make.

Pundits and politicians are arguing about whether S&P made the right decision while the bond markets are largely ignoring the rating change – yields are actually dropping. What the electorate wants to hear from the President is how we fix our fiscal mess, not whether or not S&P got it right.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geihtner had said that there was absolutely no risk of a downgrade. His basis seems to be the same as former Federal Reserve chief Alan Greenspan when he said, “The United States can pay any debt it has because we can always print money to do that. So there is zero probability of default”. Perhaps Mr. Geihtner should have thought about that when he was raising the default specter before the debt ceiling deal.

Almost in direct response to Geihtner and Greenspan’s terrible idea of printing our way out of the debt mess, today while downgrading Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and indicating  that it would be downgrading the country’s six largest insurers, S&P said, “printing money doesn’t deliver a triple-A rating.”

Despite Tim Geihtner’s missed guess on the downgrade and absolute failure on monetary policy, he is staying in place. Not because he’s the right guy for the job, but because the White House is not about to go through the nomination process for someone new. It would be nearly impossible to get another Keynesian spend-monger through the Senate confirmation process considering the failures of the current administration’s supply-side approach. That’s politics, one of the key factors to S&P’s downgrade. Leadership from Obama would have been to replace the flailing Treasury head and get a new plan implemented.

The White House won’t seek a fresh perspective in Treasury. The administration isn’t serious about lowering the country’s debt-to-GDP ratio. After the downgrade, the only action from the White House seems to have been to ..  go after the rating agency and the Conservatives in Congress. On Sunday, Geihtner appeared on NBC and said that, “”S&P decision to cut U.S. credit rating shows stunning lack of knowledge about basic U.S. fiscal budget math.”. No mention of his miscalculation or the necessity of the federal government to curtail spending.

The only call-to-action has so far come from the very segment of Congress that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and other democrats are blaming – Republicans. Senator Mark Kirk (R), called for the president to bring Congress back from its August recess to address the issues raised in the S&P report. Congress could then implement the debt-ceiling law and start to craft a real plan – no word from the White House yet.

Where is the leader of the greatest nation on Earth? Where is America’s captain after the nation was shaken by a credit downgrade? Where is the strong-chinned leader of the free world, offering a way forward – a positive plan – to get our nation back on its feet?

During remarks this afternoon the President did point out the good news. Obama said, “Our problems are solvable.” His speech offered no plans, no solutions, only blame and calls for more stimulus spending and to continue the too-small-to-be-effective payroll tax break that he has championed for years.

Obama’s only genuine attempt at fiscal leadership, his budget, went down in flames when it was unanimously defeated in the heavily Democrat Senate 97-0 earlier this year.

S&P was concerned that America may not be able to get its deficits under control and that our leaders would be focused on politics rather than policy. Will the President lead us out of the spending troubles that he helped lead us into or is it too close to his re-election for him to be concerned about policy instead of politics?

Victory Formation! Down.. Set… Hike!!!

Once again, we are faced with another deadline for another manufactured crisis contrived by the Obama administration. According to the Treasury secretary, the federal government will officially run out of money on August 2nd due to the country hitting its debt ceiling.

Since 1917 when Congress passed the Second Liberty Bond Act, the United States has had a self-imposed credit limit for borrowing money. Almost 100 years later, that credit limit stands at about $14.3 trillion. In the past 10 years we have raised the debt ceiling a total of — you guessed it — 10 times. Finally the taxpayers and voters of the country had had enough and voted in a Republican majority in the House of Representatives to put a stop to the insane spending binge that our federal government has been on for the past three years. What’s uncharacteristic is the fact that these politicians are actually keeping their promise and, at least so far, standing firm on their campaign vows. Enter the demagogues.

Presented with the prospect that they might actually have to spend within their means for the first time in their political lifetimes, Democrats are having conniption fits over Republican resistance to raise the debt ceiling for the umpteenth time. As per their usual playbook, they have hauled out scare tactics of government shutdowns, Social Security beneficiaries going without checks, members of the military not being paid and other typical demagogical techniques with which we are all familiar with by now.

As August 2nd looms on the horizon and the stare down continues, some Republican leaders’ knees are beginning to buckle. After all, no one wants to be accused of denying someone their Social Security check or our brave men and women defending our country overseas their well deserved pay. So what is the loyal opposition to do? Easy!

Run out the clock!

What would actually happen if our federal government, which is become all too comfortable with misspending trillions of dollars per year, had to live within its means like the rest of us? Some say the government would shut down. This is a bad thing? Just think, we could save $4.1 billion in government waste per day that our government is not functioning. Others say that we would default on our debt for the first time in the nations history. Still others spread political terror by once again exploiting the elderly by telling them that their Social Security and Medicare benefits will be held up.

Economic experts (who actually paid attention in Econ 101) tell us that there is sufficient revenue coming into the government to pay the interest on our existing debt for the rest of the year. Political terrorists bomb number one — disarmed. So what about Social Security and Medicare benefits? Not to mention pay for the military?

Teachable moment!

As a former civics teacher, I take you back to your ninth grade year. You are sitting in your civics class (if you were fortunate to have one offered to you to begin with) wishing that you were somewhere else, while your faithful teacher was teaching you about an old wrinkly document known as the Constitution! Those of you who are paying attention will remember that Congress is not in charge of spending money. It allocates it by law, but it is the executive branch that is in charge of distribution. In other words, the priority in which money is spent is up to the president of the United States. So if indeed the standoff continues past August 2nd, and this is indeed the day we had our credit limit as a country, then all eyes should fall to the president for the distribution of the available funds, of which there is enough to pay for servicing our debt, paying our military, and cutting Social Security checks. Bomb number two—disarmed.

So what should Republicans do in this situation? In the spirit of fair play, I would suggest them presenting a plan for spending cuts, tax rate reductions and teaching the federal government to live within its means. Aside from that, it’s simple:

Take a knee!

Bye, Bye, Bye, Geithner!

While all the lyrics of this particular song do not fit my emotions, there is a particular line that I am singing after the news I just read! Please excuse me while I sing out loud. Feel free to join in at anytime!

I know that I can’t take no more
It ain’t no lie
I wanna see you out that door
Baby, bye, bye, bye…

Thank you, N’Sync! I could not have said it better myself!

It seems as though Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has finally had enough! In a report from Bloomberg, it appears as though Mr. Geithner has given an indication that “he’s considering leaving the administration after President Obama reaches an agreement with Congress to raise the national debt limit”. This information does not come from just one source, but three different people who are “familiar with” the situation.

While I am very excited about this news,  I am scared to hold my breath. The fact that he is “considering leaving the administration” is not good enough for me- yet!  When the official announcement is made, there will another song I will be playing. It goes a little somethin’ like this:

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust
Hey, I’m gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust

The article states he has not made his “final decision”. Let’s pray his final decision is to exit stage left!

It is reported that Timmy has told his associates that “he needs a break from government service”. After all, he has had a pretty rough go of things the last few years! He’s had to deal with the distress of financial fall-outs on Wall Street from both sides of the fence. First, he had to deal with things as president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and then he had the responsibility of things as President Obama’s Treasury Secretary. Things are mighty tough for you indeed, aren’t they Mr. Geithner?

I’m sorry. I did not intend for my sarcasm to be so thick.

Now with the debt ceiling crisis going on, Mr. Geithner doesn’t seem to be able to take the heat…. so maybe he’ll get outta the kitchen for good!

Another Orchestrated Panic

PanicThe current political atmosphere in this nation is so diametrically polarized that any centrist or compromising position is seen as selling out. Take note of the fact that damage done by Newt Gingrich’s criticism of Republican efforts to constrain spending and stop piling on debt cannot be easily undone.  That is to say in the immortal words of the late Lee Atwater…”Perception is reality.” Never so true as in politics wherein most citizens suck up to what the mainstream media promulgates and are too mentally indolent to go forth and use the technological tools of the times to validate the truth of such messages. Gingrich has further enabled John Boehner to genuflect to Obama in agreeing to extend the debt limit and make it appear to be the acceptable option, which IT IS NOT. Whether he does or does not capitulate, Newt’s ill-advised comments will have been a push in that direction.

Medi-ScareIt is the same as the panic of “too big to fail” that was politically instilled in us by Little Georgie-boy Bush and exacerbated by the Oba-tyrant. Bush, without saying so, validated the lie that the demonRATs spread that this government will come to a screeching halt if said debt limit is not extended. That methodology is directed at instilling fear in the huge segment of the voting populace who are dependent on all manner of government benefits/entitlements for their day-to-day existence -senior citizens, like yours truly, that rely on Social Security and Medicare. Why is it then that I’m not in panic mode?

Doubt me? Here is the text of a letter from our esteemed Oba-collaborator Timmie-boy Geithner to the congressional leaders.  It is intended to be the hickory switch for our good shepherds to herd us into believing they have OUR best interests at heart while instilling fear and insecurity in us. This same pressure has worked with these same Republicans for Obama before. Read the complete text now please and contemplate, for yourself, the meaning.

Then…, consider that this letter was carefully crafted to convey fear, but without being able to be accused of spreading a lie. Consider the meaning of this ‘qualifier’ comment: “I will be unable to invest fully the portion of the Civil Service Retirement and Disability Fund (“CSRDF”) not immediately required to pay beneficiaries. That “not immediately required” comment is key here, because it’s true and is why refusing to raise the debt limit will NOT bring benefit payments to a screeching halt. What the entire statement represents is a bold attempt at misdirection and deceit. How many people do you think will be confused by this wording and have to re-read it, or worse…will not do so and thus come away with the subliminal mental waterboarding message that it meant that benefit checks will cease. Many, many…I’d suggest! What this statement says as an affirmative confirmation is that ‘I will be able to invest that portion of the Civil Service Retirement and Disability Fund immediately currently required to pay beneficiaries.’  His deceit is tied to the linkage of the phrase “unable to” and “not immediately required”.

And so it goes with this administration. A continuing practice of calculated deceit to fool the citizenry. It is up to we who understand this to spread the truth of such an agenda or stand by as observers as our rights evaporate and this constitutional republic slips further away.

It’s been about two weeks since this letter was sent out. I have not seen my take on this repeated in the print or TV media, have you? I haven’t even noted any serious comment on the Geithner letter.

We know that the disloyal opposition, the demonRATic leadership in congress, knows what this is all about, but why doesn’t the Republican Majority Leader in the House or the Whip hold a press conference to enlighten us all with this truth? Questions with an obvious answer. Capitulation to ‘business as usual’  for politicians when the public is crying out for statesmen to step forward and stand tall. The silence truly is deafening.

Obama Administration Afflicted by Corruption

Corruption is the abuse of public office for private gain, and it tarnishes the Obama Administration at every turn. We have a tax cheat in Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner. He conveniently neglected, by his account “forgot”, to pay in excess of $40,000 in payroll taxes. Showing that there is honor among thieves, Geithner then appointed chief of staff Mark Patterson, who was a former Goldman Sachs lobbyist, to oversee the $700 billion TARP program. Geithner turned a blind eye to the fact that Goldman Sachs had already received $10 billion of that money. What could go wrong? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

Then there is the case of Tom Daschle who was Obama’s original choice for Secretary of Health and Human Services. Daschle’s nomination, you will recall, was withdrawn because he failed to disclose more than $300,000 in past income.

Then there is the case of Nancy Killefer’s nomination for chief performance officer. Oops, the administration “belatedly” learned that she had a lien on her property to the tune of $946.69 back in 2005 because she “forgot” to pay taxes. At this rate she’ll never reach the level of Daschle, but hey, at least she’s trying!

Then Barry Obama commits to the public that he will have “no more lobbyists” in his administration. Promptly “forgetting” his public pledge he turns right around and appoints acting Secretary of Labor, Hilda Solis, who used to be the treasurer of American Rights at Work.

And let us not forget William Lynn, the deputy Defense secretary, who lobbied for a defense contractor as recently as 2008. Lynn is not alone. There are more than a dozen lobbyists in the Obama Administration. Obama is fond of making great sounding pronouncements and then immediately doing the opposite, so what’s new?

And let us not forget the trickery and behind-the-scenes corruption that gave us all ObamaCare. Can anyone say Blanche Lincoln and Ben Nelson?

Gail Shumway, writing for www.redpills.com, had this to say on the subject of another icon of integrity, a certain Janet Napolitano, Obama’s Secretary of Homeland Security:

Well what’s new is not just the level of corruption but the level of ignorance that is exhibited by Barry’s useful idiots. I am talking about Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano. This is the top dog, and the use of that term has more than one meaning, between us and the terrorists. Oh, I’m sorry, I mean ‘creators of manmade disasters‘. Veterans, those who actually pay taxes, gun rights individuals, Libertarians, et. al. is the new terrorists. Anyway, this idiot, Napolitano, stated that “suspected or known terrorists” have entered the U. S. across the Canadian border, including the perpetrators of the 9/11 attack. REALLY!? Canada, I apologize for Barry’s useful idiot Napolitano, her IQ must have slipped at least 50 points by becoming a member of Barry’s administration. I mean it has almost become a prerequisite.

From the nationalpost.com dated April 22, 2009 entitled “The border for dummies”.

Can someone please tell us how U. S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano got her job? She appears to be about as knowledgeable about border issues as a late-night radio call-in yahoo.

In an interview broadcast Monday on the CBC, Ms. Napolitano attempted to justify her call for stricter border security on the premise that “suspected or known terrorists” have entered the U. S. across the Canadian border, including the perpetrators of the 9/11 attack.

All the 9/11 terrorists, of course, entered the United States directly from overseas. The notion that some arrived via Canada is a myth that briefly popped up in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, and was then quickly debunked.

Informed of her error, Ms. Napolitano blustered: “I can’t talk to that. I can talk about the future. And here’s the future. The future is we have borders.”

Just what does that mean, exactly?

Just a few weeks ago, Ms. Napolitano equated Canada’s border to Mexico’s, suggesting they deserved the same treatment. Mexico is engulfed in a drug war that left more than 5,000 dead last year, and which is spawning a spillover kidnapping epidemic in Arizona. So many Mexicans enter the United States illegally that a multi-billion-dollar barrier has been built from Texas to California to keep them out.

In Canada, on the other hand, the main problem is congestion resulting from cross-border trade. Not quite the same thing, is it?

But enough of the minions. Obama appears to take the cake when it comes to integrity issues. Here are a number of examples of alleged inconsistencies between Obama’s words and documented truth:

  • “Selma Got Me Born.” – The truth is that Obama was born in 1961 and the Selma incident didn’t occur until 1965.
  • “Father Was a Goat Herder.” – Obama’s father was a privileged, well-educated youth, who went on to work with the Kenyan Government.
  • “My family has strong ties to African Freedom.” – Obama’s cousin Raila Odinga created mass violence in attempting to overturn a legitimate election in 2007 in Kenya. It was the first widespread violence in Kenya in decades.
  • “My grandmother has always been a Christian.” – In a public interview Obama’s grandmother admits that she does her daily Salat prayers at 5 a.m. and states “I am a strong believer of the Islamic faith.” The elderly women said that in a recent interview in Kenya. Also, Christianity wouldn’t have allowed her to have been one of 14 wives to one man.
  • “My name is African Swahili.” – Actually, Obama’s name is Arabic and ‘Baraka’ (from which Barack come) means ‘blessed’ in that language. Hussein is also Arabic and so is Obama.
  • “I never practiced Islam.” – Obama practiced it daily at school, where he was registered as a Muslim and kept that faith for 31 years, until Michelle Obama made him change it so that he could run for office. Enter Rev. Wright.
  • “Present votes are common in Illinois.” – They were common for Obama but not many others in Illinois have 130 NO VOTES.
  • “I was a professor of law.” – He was a senior lecturer on leave.
  • “I was a Constitutional Lawyer.” He was a senior lecturer on leave.
  • “I have released my state records.” – State bills Obama sponsored or voted for have yet to be released.
  • “I won Michigan.” – He lost Michigan.
  • “I won Nevada.” – He lost Nevada.
  • “I don’t take PAC Money.” – Obama takes lots of PAC money.
  • “I inspire people with my words.” – He inspires people with other people’s words. Cue the Teleprompter.
  • “I am as patriotic as anyone.” – He has refused to wear a flag pin. He doesn’t put his hand over his heart during the National Anthem. There was a Cuban flag with Che Guevara displayed at Barack Obama’s campaign Office which he allowed to be displayed. He voted against making English the official language of the United States. He voted to give illegal aliens Social Security benefits, which would bankrupt the Social Security system for Americans legally paying into it.
  • Wal-Mart is a company I wouldn’t support.” – Michelle Obama received nearly a quarter of a million dollars through Treehouse, which is connected to Wal-Mart.

Adolf Hitler’s Minister of Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, once said that “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

Other notable Goebbels quotes that appear to have been taken to heart by Obama include:

The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly – it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over”

“Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play.”

“Intellectual activity is a danger to the building of character”

“Faith moves mountains, but only knowledge moves them to the right place”

“If the day should ever come when we [the Nazis] must go, if some day we are compelled to leave the scene of history, we will slam the door so hard that the universe will shake and mankind will stand back in stupefaction.”

“Whoever can conquer the street will one day conquer the state, for every form of power politics and any dictatorship-run state has its roots in the street.”

It has been said that today we see the same old sins – performed by new people. Corruption becomes a habit within societies. It takes the clear, calm voice of truth to shed light on government corruption. It takes a free press to hold government officials accountable for their words and their deeds. It takes a free people with liberty in their hearts to oust the corrupt from public offices. It takes new people exercising the same old rights of free people everywhere to keep corruption in check.
