RALEIGH, N.C., Aug. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ – North Carolina’s electric cooperatives are reporting approximately 100,000 outages from Hurricane Irene, whose destructive winds and heavy rains lashed North Carolina this morning.
