The first three questions at President Obama’s late starting 100 Days press conference Tuesday did not put the administration in a very good light. The first question about the weapons of mass destruction used in Syria cause the POTUS to respond he understood chemical weapons were used but he was unsure by whom, where and why. His team would investigate and this might be a game changer…

Question two related to the ongoing situation in finding the truth about Benghazi, specifically that some people were being stonewalled from testifying. The president had not heard of intimidation tactics being used against the whistle blowers but his team would investigate and he would get back with information.

The third question was regarding the Boston Bombing and whether there might have been an issue with our intelligence. To no one’s surprise, after a long circular statement, the president said they were investigating this issue and there would be more information in the future.

Continuing with a tough question on the sequester the president went on to remind reporters that he warned everyone of problems with with plan. He did seem to have forgotten that it was his administration who first proposed the sequester as a solution, not Congress. In a not unexpected move, this second term president has transgressed from blaming the past president to putting all the onus onto the mean Republicans in Congress.

Oh, and just in case you didn’t know, the president told us that his grand Obamacare program is all wrapped up with a bow and implemented, causing only minor problems for a few people… Any issues are due to those darned Republicans. (If your insurance has gone up 10, 15 or 25% in the past year to cover all those ‘free’ programs; if your company has reduced hours or the number of employers due to the health insurance requirements; if you’re having a harder time finding a doctor, you might want to write the president and let him know.)

Also, GITMO would be closed if not for those darned Republicans.

One highlight in the otherwise mundane conference was when the sarcastic Obama stated that maybe he should just pack up and go home to which the Twitter universe resoundingly replied, “Yes, please.”

The press conference concluded with a few comments about the gay basketball player’s coming out to which many are wondering how impressed the public should be that this president places such emphasis on keeping up with sports current events. Some might prefer that with all the challenges faced by Americans citizens might be more impressed if the president would state that he spends less time focusing on athletes and that his priority was improving the safety and economy of the country. Of course, given the above answers, who would believe him?

I hope that’s true.  We already know that he saw her in September of this year, but that might have been the only time he’s ever seen her, and he may honestly have forgotten about it.

But when you think back to Sharon Bialek’s original press conference, Sharon was very, very specific in her accusations.  Here’s some of the transcript from that press conference.

“I took the train into Washington, D.C. When I went to check into the room I was shocked to be taken to a palatial suite. I said to the bellman that there must be some mistake, but he insisted that there was no mistake. I later found out that Mr. Cain had arranged for the suite, though at the time I thought that maybe my boyfriend had tried to surprise me.

“I met Mr. Cain in the lobby of the bar at the Capitol Hilton at around 6:30 p.m. We had drinks at the hotel, and he asked how I liked my room, which is kind of normal, and I said I was very surprised. I said, I can’t believe it, I’ve got this great suite, it’s gorgeous. Mr. Cain kind of smirked, and then said, ‘I upgraded you.’

“He then took me to an Italian restaurant where we had dinner. During dinner, Mr. Cain looked at me and said, ‘Why are you here?’ I said, ‘Actually, Herman, my boyfriend, whom you met, suggested that I meet with you ‘cause he thought you could help me because I really need a job. I was wondering if there’s anything available at the state association level or perhaps if you could speak to someone at the foundation to try to get my job back, perhaps even in a different department.’ He said, ‘I’ll look into that.’

“While we were driving back to the hotel, he said that he would show me where the National Restaurant Association offices were. He parked the car down the block. I thought that we were going to go into the offices so he that could show me around. At that time I had on a black pleated skirt, a suit jacket and a blouse. He had on a suit with his shirt open. But instead of going into the offices, he suddenly reached over and he put his hand on my leg under my skirt and reached for my genitals. He also grabbed my head and brought it toward his crotch. I was very, very surprised and very shocked.

“I said: ‘What are you doing? You know I have a boyfriend. This isn’t what I came here for.’ Mr. Cain said, ‘You want a job, right?’

“I asked him to stop and he did. I asked him to take me back to my hotel which he did, right away.”

Here are some of the details just from that transcript:
She said that she stayed in the Capitol Hilton
He upgraded her room to a suite.
She met him in the lobby bar for drinks
They went to an Italian restaurant.
She had on a pleated skirt.

When you listen to her tell the tale in her press conference (that the transcript above is from), she really seems to be making specific accusations and “recalling” specific details.  When Herman Cain says that he doesn’t even know who Bialek is, he’s denying a LOT of things.  So, if even ONE of them is true, it casts a lot of his testimony into question.

If any one of the things Ms. Bialek claims is proven to be true, then Herman’s goose can be cooked.  (hotel records, credit card records, etc…)  I feel that Mr. Cain took a very big gamble by saying he had did not even know who Sharon Bialek is.  I think it would have been a safer bet for him to say he’s “not sure” if he’d ever seen her before, but by making such adamant claims, he’s really given himself little recourse in the event (or if) he’s ever proven to not be telling the truth.

Of course… if he IS telling the truth, then his gamble may likely pay off.

What do you guys think?  Did Herman take too big of a risk by saying so adamantly that he did not even know who Sharon Bialek is?  Should he have been more vague and just said that he “didn’t recall ever meeting her”?  Or, should he have “put his chips all in”, as it seems he has?  What would you do, if you were accused of wrong doing by someone on national TV, for that matter?  I’m not sure what I would do, if I was in that situation, myself.

When speaking about the charges that Ms. Bialek has made, Herman said “they simply didn’t happen”.

Obama’s comments were brief and unsurprising.  He spent most of this presser taking questions from the peanut gallery…oops…White House press corp.  For the most part, the reporters at the White House simply confirmed what most Americans already know – they are completely complicit in this administration’s failures and the Democrat party in general.  For all the scandals and lunacy coming out of the White House in recent weeks, the amount of softball questions thrown at Obama was staggering.  Each question seemed to have no other purpose than to allow the President to spout off another round of key words problems and remedies.  Only one reporter (thank you Jake Tapper) asked a question about Solyndra and Fast & Furious and it was barely probing in any way.  It was more of a “can you please explain why unknown entities in the far,far reaches of your administration keep trying to circumvent your awesomeness with these bad decisions” sort of question.  Something like that.  In nearly an hour of questioning, only two reporters actually dared to ask real questions that required real answers.  Perhaps the most revealing was from CBS’ Bill Plante, who asked the President if being in constant campaign mode and blaming Republicans for everything was productive.  It was the one illuminating moment of the entire presser.  The question sent Obama into a tail spin almost immediately.  He seemed angry and lost, stammering his way through a barely coherent answer that included a lot of “uh”s and “I”s and glares.  Its a good thing that the white-haired Mr. Plante seems to be closer to the end of his career than the beginning, because he will never be allowed to address the President again.  BO was PO’d and the mood permeated the remainder of the presser.  His stammering only became worse, and his defensiveness was almost uncomfortable to witness.  It is clear why Obama’s handlers don’t allow him to answer more questions during his speeches.  Off the teleprompter Obama is unprepared, rambling and clearly unused to facing anything but glowing admiration and worship from those in front of him.

The presser lasted for over an hour.  Most of that time was filled with softball questions from “journalists” and Obama’s key-word answers.  Here are a few highlights from Obama’s checklist:

-the Japanese tsunami really put a damper on the roaring economic recovery.  Water in Japan will do that.

-the “Jobs Bill” is paid for, but in order to pay for it, we need a new national surtax (yeah, wrap your head around that one!)

-millionaires and billionaires need to start paying their fair share.  Its not fair to poor people that the top 50% of Americans pay 99% of the taxes.

-Occupy Wall Street crowd are simply “frustrated” citizens exercising their freedom to assemble and express their disappointments with Congress and cheating, stinking corportations.  Unlike the tea partiers, who are nothing more than racist, anarchist, violent sons-of-bitches.

-government must enact regulation in order to foster competition among businesses.  Solyndra?

-”folks” who are doing the right thing are frustrated because they are not rewarded while those who do the wrong things are rewarded heavily.  Solyndra?

-Obama has been “very clear” regarding Solyndra and Fast & Furious and has full confidence in Attorney General Holder.  Is that clear?

-Solyndra predates Obama, so stop asking about it! Bush did it! Hopefully you won’t check to see that Bush rejected the loan.  That’s not part of the campaign platform.

-Obama understood when making green energy loans that some would fail.  Americans should be comforted to know he willingly wasted billions of their tax dollars in surefire failures.  What a guy!

-Obama doesn’t understand why banks would react to Dodd-Frank by adding fees to make up for the losses imposed by the law.  Clearly banks hate the middle class.  And Barack Obama.

–construction workers and teachers.

-a huge part of a stable economy is buying things and selling things.  Those words were actually spoken out loud by our President. This just in:  water is wet.

-Obama wants reporters to do their homework regarding evil Republican stalwarting.  Also, eat their peas and take off their bedroom slippers.

The President ended by saying he would love for Congress to pass his tax, er…”Jobs” Bill so he didn’t have to campaign against a do-nothing Congress in the next year; admitting that his strategy would be to campaign against Congress instead of on his own record.  Inspired yet? No?  Well, maybe it will just take some more speeches.  Not to worry, America may be poor in jobs, money and progress, but we are rich in speeches! Stay tuned…
