Piers Morgan On Obama Scandals: “This Is Vaguely Tyrannical Behavior”

During the Friday evening edition of CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight”, host Piers Morgan talked with comedian Penn Jillette. Much of the conversation centered on the trifecta of scandals surrounding President Barack Obama and his administration – the Benghazi terrorist attack, IRS targeting of conservative opponents of the administration, and the Department of Justice’s collecting of phone records of reporters and editors at the Associated Press.

At one point, Morgan recalled his confrontations with gun activists and how he thought they were irrational when they referenced the fear of a tyrannical government as a point of justification during their arguments.

The British host then did an about-face and admitted that the behavior of the government throughout these scandals is bordering on tyrannical – particularly the AP scandal and how it attacks the free press.

Perhaps the reporter heard or saw fellow Brit Piers Morgan’s continued quest in vain to understand the relationship between Americans and their guns. Certainly, Piers might learn a bit about his own culture as Little explains the difference between the independent American ideal and that of the long subjugated Europeans, how we were ‘shaped by a different experience’.

Gun ownership is more than self defense. Americans believe in an empowered citizenry; self reliant, independent, free. As Little explains, and as most of us know, it’s not just the Wild West that represents the United States but the history of our armed Minutemen, ordinary citizens, ready and willing to stand against tyranny.

Piers Morgan Confronts Justice Scalia on Citizens United

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia made a rare media appearance yesterday when he sat down for an interview on Piers Morgan Tonight on CNN.

During the interview, Scalia dismissed recent reports that he and Chief Justice John Roberts are feuding over the contentious health care ruling. Scalia also commented on Bush v. Gore, saying he doesn’t regret the decision and told those still upset over the issue to ‘get over it’.

And what rare interview of conservative favorite Antonin Scalia would be complete without an insinuatingly insulting discussion of the Court’s reaffirmation of Citizens United?

Piers Morgan expressed his incomprehension at Scalia’s ‘interpretation of the Constitution’. He believes the decision, which doesn’t put limits on the First Amendment, allows super PAC’s led by millionaires to buy elections. (He conveniently forgets this allows unions to spend enormous amounts of money as well.) He also stated that he doesn’t believe money is speech.

“That cannot be what the Founding Fathers intended. Thomas Jefferson didn’t sit there constructing something that was going to be abused,” Morgan stated. Of course, Thomas Jefferson did not construct the Constitution. (he was serving as the U.S. ambassador to France during the time of the framing)

Scalia, of course, did not back down. “I think Thomas Jefferson would have said the more speech the better. That’s what the First Amendment is all about,”

As for money not being speech, Scalia dismissed the idea, making the point that newspapers frequently endorse candidates, and no one regulates what they spend. “Could you tell newspaper publishers you can only spend so much money in the publication of their newspaper? Would they not say this is abridging my speech?”

Jon Huntsman has stated that he’s made over 100 appearances in New Hampshire, yet he’s still near the bottom of the polls. Piers Morgan pressed him on this earlier in the week, and this is how Huntsman replied.

I know Jon Huntsman is not a very popular figure on this website, but I think he handled this question really well. What do you think? Is he a good candidate that has been over looked by the Republican electorate? Or is he an idiot who should have never quit his day job (as ambassador to China)? What do you have to say?

What Does Morgan Freeman Think Of Herman Cain?

On the same weekend that Morgan Freeman was saying the Tea Party is “racist” and that they want to “get the black man out of here”, Tea Party voters in Florida were voting for a black man. I think the real “problem” is that they were not voting for the black man that Morgan Freeman wanted them to.

Sadly, this is what Liberals do. They will try to discredit and ruin the lives of fellow citizens just to win a game. Everyone is a pawn or a useful idiot to them. In my mind, their disregard for the well being of their fellow man is on par with the mentality that goes behind human trafficking. But, I digress… Here is a video I made summing up my thoughts on Morgan Freeman’s cruel and inaccurate charges. I hope he sees it. Better yet, I hope he apologizes for demonizing people that don’t agree with him. I won’t hold my breath.
