The Left, and Throw-Away Humanity

While the left is content to spew their opinions and opine on subjects that they are dangerously under educated about, the chasm between what they claim and what they do continues to grow wider. The left claims to care so very much about the people, and whatever shortcomings that they face. The reality between the left’s over-reaching legislation and their over-spending, is that they will happily use whatever they must in order to further their own flawed claims and defective logic.

After President Bush sent troops to Iraq, and after her son died in battle, Cindy Sheehan began vigorously criticizing Bush. She became a darling of the left, and became seen as someone sympathetic that the left could hitch their wagons to, who could also harshly criticize Bush with impunity. As Sheehan began to criticize Democrats in Congress, as well as President Obama, the left abandoned their support of Sheehan. The separation of Democrats and Sheehan eventually grew so large that Sheehan ran unsuccessfully against Nancy Pelosi for California’s 8th Congressional District seat.

Occupy Wall Street was another one of the left’s “useful idiots.” As the group coalesced and began to protest in New York, parallel groups sprouted up around the world. Sensing a populist movement that they could, again, hitch their wagon to, the left went so far as to say, “God bless them.” However, once reports of perversions, hard-drug use, racism, and sex crimes grew in number, the left had little choice but to abandon this group as well.

Will the new Gabby Giffords/Mark Kelly gun-control initiative (“Americans for Responsible Solutions“) be used in the same way? As a convenient means to push heavy-handed gun control measures by the left? It certainly fits the same scenario as previous movements that the left has already glommed onto: it’s a movement built on tragedy, it has a sympathetic figurehead, and it has the promise of compassionate and devoted supporters. It would also allow the left to paint gun-rights advocates as callous and non-caring about gun crime victims.

“Let no crisis go to waste,” the saying goes, and the left has wholeheartedly embraced that advice. There is no bridge too far, or hyperbole too divisive, that the left will not try to use. Will the left ever run out of convenient victims to re-victimize, or will the right finally wise up enough, that it will be able to argue consistently against such false narratives? With every new false narrative, this writer would like to claim there’s a distinguishable stepping forward on the right, but for every step forward, it seems like there is a Todd Akin or Richard Mourdock to stop the right’s progress in its tracks. We must learn not just to argue better (and illustrate lies effectively) but to avoid the left’s verbal pot holes as well.

The Hope and The Change, A Review

130 million homes, 7 key battleground states, the largest cable distribution of a political film in history… Could The Hope and The Change impact the November 6th presidential election? David Bossie and Stephen Bannon not only think it’s possible, they’re hoping for it.

David Bossie of Citizens United and Stephen Bannon of Victory Film Group have teamed up to present a game-changing political film that defies the typical rules of documentaries. Without endless tape of sob stories, pouring over boring statistics or shocking viewers with graphic photos, The Hope and The Change takes viewers into the lives of typical Americans throughout the country. It features 40 Obama voters who are registered Democrats or left-leaning independents. Their stories are compelling and relevant. They will affect you, and they will cause you to examine why you vote the way you do, regardless of political affiliation.

Bannon, the film’s director, says, “We wanted to show the real stories of real people… so we chose 40 democrats and independents, people who had voted for Obama in 2008, to tell their stories.”

The film took a year to complete with much of the pre-production work centered around polling and choosing the cast. Bannon chose Pat Caddell and Chandra Stewart, popular democrats, to lead that effort saying, “It was so important that we chose credible people to make this film. I think we achieved that.”

For conservatives, the film is almost a “told ya so” moment, but for Bannon, that’s not the intent. He says this film’s desired audience is the neighbor or friend who is having a little buyer’s remorse, someone who thought they were doing the right thing in voting for Obama. It’s for the grandmother who thought Obama would help her Medicare situation or the trucker who thought his business would thrive under lower gas prices. The Hope and The Change reminds everyone of the failed agenda and broken promises, but also offers true hope for a better future. In a sense, the film is giving these former Obama supporters permission to make a change.

The Hope and The Change has launched a massive ad campaign that spans the gamut of cable channels and will be aired multiple times throughout the last weeks of the campaign. The hour-long film, which will be in more than 130 million homes throughout the US and in key battleground states, could be a game-changer.

Another Bannon/Bossie collaboration, Occupy Unmasked, hits theaters this week and is sure to be a controversial end to the amazing life of Andrew Breitbart who is prominently featured in the film. Read more here: Occupy Unmasked

Occupy Unmasked

“For those who’ve been paying attention, this film is an affirmation. For those who haven’t, it’s a revelation.” – Stephen Bannon, CEO of Victory Film Group and close personal friend of the late Andrew Breitbart

Stephen Bannon, producer of the popular documentary Undefeated, teamed up with Citizens United and Andrew Breitbart to “rip the mask off” the Occupy movement.

In a theater near you is arguably the best work, and potentially most important work, of the late Andrew Breitbart. His last documentary, Occupy Unmasked, takes everything you think you know about the Occupy movement and turns it on its head. Through video evidence, documented proof and exposed email chains, Breitbart walks the viewer through the Occupy camps and rips the mask off the perceived intent of the protests to reveal the truly dark nature of the movement.

“This is not a bunch of college kids and hippies putting this thing together,” says Bannon. “Below the surface is a very dark, very ugly and very dangerous group of people.”

The film begins with nearly 4 minutes of media clips taking the viewer back to 2011, reminding us of the national conversation about America’s debt, the deficit and the debt ceiling debates that dominated the news cycles. The media would have you believe the Occupy movement grew out of disdain for government spending, that “largely peacefully” protests broke out all over the country in response to runaway debt. But only 2 minutes later the viewer will realize that media spin couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Just beyond the violence and chaos, drug use and property destruction, defecating on police cars and multiple rapes, are the Occupy organizers.

“They managed to change the narrative. Their goal is to create chaos, destroy the system,” continues Bannon. “They want to create anarchy, put the system in crisis and from crisis gain power.”

Occupy organizers were able to change the public conversation from cutting deficits and cutting spending to public outcry over income inequality. They created a narrative around class differences neatly packaged into a “haves versus the have nots” theme. This was no grassroots groundswell of otherwise unlikely political activists. Occupy is a well-crafted, carefully calculated strategy to dominate the national conversation to change America and eventually change the world. Occupy Unmasked proves this beyond doubt.

So who are the power-hungry, highly financed, media-connected Occupy organizers? Why did one such organizer, Malcolm Harris, a self-described communist, trick thousands of people into believing the band Radio Head would be performing at Zuccotti Park? Who is the New York Times writer who helped him? How are employee unions involved? Why is this group still organized, protesting and occupying? What are the real goals of the occupiers and what are the goals of the organizers?

OWS Protestor Pours Urine And Feces All Over A Chase Bank In NYC

That’s BUCKETS (plural) of pee and poop.  Number one and number two.  Whiz and dookie, poured all over the outside and the little inside lobby part of the bank that has the ATM.  Human waste, ladies and gentleman.  And for what?  Who does it hurt?  Certainly not the CEO’s of the “rich and evil banks”.  Not even the middle managers or the branch managers themselves.  Nope.  Pouring human waste all around this bank hurts the employees who probably make a humble wage (as in much less than the “1 percenters” these hooligans hoped to diss) or the everyday working stiffs who frequent the bank to deposit their checks.

Not only that, the police found a stun gun in the perp’s vehicle.  Hopefully, they’ll throw the book at this clown and his friends, but thus far he’s only been held on $1500 bail.

Evil Bank’s Student Loan Crushing Your Dreams? Not for Long.

These days, all the cool young protestors seem to be talking about one thing. The calls for beheading Wall Street executives have quieted down a little and the new focus is- student debt. Yes, those evil giant banks are at it again- forcing poor innocent students into taking massive loans with crushing interest rates that will haunt them for the rest of their adult lives.

There is a petition circling colleges- the Support the Student Loan Forgiveness Act of 2012. To anyone with a rational mind, and even the slightest comprehension of how the free market works, the petition is laughable. The petition scathingly rips into the notion that higher education is an individual commodity rather than an investment in the ‘collective future’ of the nation.(Silly conservatives and their ideas about individualism.) It also boldly states that student loan forgiveness will stimulate the economy and restore the American dream for millions of middle class Americans struggling under the burden of their debt. Aw. With rhetoric like that, is it any surprise that the website, SignOn.org, is sponsored by the totally agenda-less George Soros funded MoveOn.org?

Oh to live in the world of liberal logic. Somehow, millions of defaulted loan payments just magically vanish and the economy is fantastic. Those defaulted payments don’t get passed on to investors and customers of the loan holder’s bank through increased fees to make up for the financial loss.

Even Steven Lerner, SEIU and Occupy Wall Street organizer, hinted that part of the next phase for the Occupy movement is student debt strikes. Lerner wrote in a recent article for the left-wing publication, The Nation “There is growing interest in Occupy and student groups in a student debt strike. The banks can’t foreclose on a brain or a degree. If a critical mass of student debtors—a million or more—pledged to refuse to pay, it would create a collection crisis that could force negotiations about reducing student debt.”

Those evil banks, asking poor, starving students to repay the money so generously loaned them. How dare they ask you to be accountable for your actions! How dare they limit your access to college education! A guaranteed human right! (Apologies to Thomas Jefferson, who’s probably rolling over in his grave). Because of course, handling debt responsibly and not taking on more than you can afford, is not an option.

Whatever happened to the self-made man? In the 21st century, where even if you don’t have high-speed internet access in your home (yet another basic human right those evil Republicans are trying to deprive the underprivileged of) you can go to any local library and use a computer, shouldn’t self-education be easier than ever? Basically every government organization and college has an online library where you can access important documents and research. Or crazier still, you could pull one of those dusty old books off a shelf. (Except then you’d probably just be accused of hating the environment.) But that would require you acting as an responsible, functioning individual in society rather than a piggy-backing parasite of the collective. After all, every enlightened liberal knows, personal responsibility and integrity are the crazy ideas of those pretentious old wig-wearing men who wrote that ridiculously outdated document all the disillusioned conservatives are still clinging to.

Who Is Really Behind The “Occupy” Movement? Andrew Breitbart Wants To Know.

A trailer for a very promising movie was released last week.  While some would call it a documentary, Andrew Breitbart calls it a “war film”.  In his latest project, “Occupy Unmasked”, Breitbart and a talented team dig deep to find out just who is behind the Occupy movement.  He promises to help expose the “puppet masters” who are pulling the strings, along with the help of none other than former Leftists, who have been “kicked out of the club”.  If this film delivers on its promise, we could all stand to benefit from knowing who these players are and what game they’ve tried to catch us up in.

400 “Peaceful” Oakland Occupiers Arrested

The Occupy Wall Street mob violence flared up again this past weekend in Oakland, Calif., resulting in over 400 arrests while many mainstream media puppeteers still refer to the Occupy protesters as being involved in a “peaceful” historic national movement across America. Yahoo has decided to slap a retread of a Reuters article title today that is titled, Arrests in Oakland protests rise to over 400  into their Destination 2012 section, which is supposed to be about the 2012 national elections. How does that decision line up with the Occupy Wall Street operatives and their constant claims that the movement is not political? Certain people are trying to give this “movement” validity by inserting it into a national politics section. Reuters goes out of it’s way to try to distance this weekend’s violence from the Occupy Wall Street mob several times in the above-linked article with the following tidbits: (emphasis added)

“The protests in most cities have been peaceful and sparked a national debate over how much of the country’s wealth is held by the richest 1 percent of the population. President Barack Obama has sought to capitalize on the attention by calling for higher taxes on the richest Americans.”

“Oakland Mayor Jean Quan accused a “violent splinter group” of the Occupy movement of fomenting the Saturday protests and using the city as its playground.” ( that would be the same Mayor who spoke at an Occupy Oakland Rally and largely refused to clamp down on these misfits, even when rampant drug abuse, rape, theft, and overall filthy conditions were being reported in these Occupy camps across America, and especially in Oakland)

“Crews cleaned up Oakland’s historic City Hall on Sunday from damage inflicted overnight during violent anti-Wall Street protests that resulted in about 400 arrests, marking one of the largest mass arrests since nationwide protests began last year.” (Notice the concentrated effort to not call these people who they really are, as in Occupy Wall Street protesters?)

The media is proven to be complicit in attempting to separate the Occupiers into two categories to nudge the public perception of just who these Occupiers really are. The thousands of violent acts, rapes, drug arrests, and massive reports of theft are all put into the “violent splinter group category”  in order to protect the supposedly peaceful, fun-loving, innocent rest of the group. The Occupiers claim to represent 99% of Americans while the fact remains that the informed citizenry finds them repulsive and disgusting, as many surveys have reported.  Politico  shows us that, at one point, 37% of Americans viewed the OWS  crowd favorably. That was the headline, by the way, while ignoring the other 63% of America that sees the OWS crowd for what it is: A bunch of nasty, defecating on police cars and urinating in the street, rabble-rousers, rapists, anarchists and low-life criminals who have no respect for the rest of society. Yet the media manipulators still paint them as some type of grassroots movement that is endeared by all of America, including  Mr. Barack Hussein Obama.

Of course the media has to paint the OWS mob in an angelic light, as we see in this article that the Occupiers do, in fact, have the support of the DNC and Barack Obama. Just ask yourselves one question: When, if ever, have you heard President Obama, any Democrat, or anyone in their media-puppet stable denounce the OWS perpetrators for the numerous reports of rape, theft, and their overall disrespect for the rest of society? Just watch how the media downplays this weekend’s 400+ Occupy Wall Street arrests in Oakland, just like they downplayed the planned shutdown of  many of America’s shipping ports back on Monday, Dec, 12th 2011. To note that after that action, Best Buy ended up with a shortage of electronics products that were ordered for Christmas. Coincidence? The public will never know, as the mainstream media largely refused to report on the mob action targeting the nation’s shipping ports 13 days before Christmas.

This latest Occupy Wall Street episode in Oakland actually started on Saturday, when the Occupiers tried to take over an empty downtown convention center to establish a new headquarters.  The Occupiers don’t think they should have to  pay for anything in life, they just take it.  To prove this point, they hurled bottles, pipe bombs, smoke bombs, burning flares, and assorted improvised explosive devices at police who were stopping them from taking over a convention center on Saturday. The police also warned the Occupy Wall Street protesters that they would not tolerate the continued violence and  overt lawlessness on Sunday. Occupy Wall Street chose to ignore the warning, thus over 400 of them were arrested.

Finally, after months of ignoring the Occupy Wall Street protesters in our nation’s capitol on orders from the administration of Barack Obama under the guise of free speech, the National Park Service will start enforcing the decades old ban on camping overnight in McPherson Square and Freedom Plaza on Monday at noon. We can look forward to more false-flag media stories about supposed police brutality and  abuse tomorrow coming out of DC, as the pattern of Occupy Wall Street protesters baiting police officers with camera’s at the ready will be sure to continue.

Update: Watch the mob violence here.

The 99% – Still Fighting Hard For…………

Yep, they’re still out there. The 99% are still fighting the good fight for, well, we’ll see. Oh yeah, against the Wall Street “Man”. Lets take a look.

In Des Moines, they are protesting Romney taking donations from 40 Wells Fargo employees who contributed $49,250 to his campaign. This information comes from campaign finance reports filed with the Federal Elections Commission. They also demand he return $61,500 from political action committees and individuals said to have ties to Wells Fargo. In a statement Wells Fargo said their PAC does not contribute to presidential campaigns. The protest have led to 10 arrests, all with no resistance. It’s reported that the Des Moines police said the protesters did speak to a manager at the bank allowing them to have a peaceful exchange before being arrested. OK….. Peaceful exchange before being arrested…moving on.

Occupy Oakland tried to rebuild their camp and was quickly shut down by police. The San Francisco Chronicle reported that 15 tents, makeshift kitchen and a bathroom on the city’s industrial west side taken down just as soon as they went up. According to a camp organizer, the new encampment named “Zion Cypress Triangle”, was supposed to be a drug- and alcohol-free “winter camp” and “safe haven” for homeless people and activists. Oakland, it seems, is not putting up with their garbage anymore.

Occupiers in Pasadena are further trying to help the country by protesting at the Rose Parade. Occupy forces have been negotiating with Pasadena police and Tournament of Roses officials for several weeks hoping to prevent any disruptions to the parade scheduled for Jan. 2. The Occupiers will be allowed to march on the parade route after all the official floats have passed.  It should be a grand event with planned speakers including anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, and if they’re really lucky, Leftist ever-so-talented (not really) film maker and “accurate information” provider, Michael Moore. The protesters, during their march, intend to display large banners crying about wealth inequality in the United States and will unveil  “floats” of their own to include a giant  octopus. According to Occupy “spokesman” Pete Thottam, the octopus will be made out of recycled bags and stretch 40 feet from tentacle to tentacle. He said it will represent the stranglehold that Wall Street has on the political process. Protesting the Rose Parade will no doubt have a profound impact on the political process.

There you have it. The 99% update. Anyone still care?

Letter to Congress: S.1867/HR 1540

Please copy this letter, put your name on it and send it to your congressional delegation. Your freedom is at stake. Put this on top of S. 679 that takes congressional oversight away and you have the final ingredient needed for tyranny to take over in America. I am e-mailing this to my representatives today.

December 10, 2011

Sen. Coburn, Sen. Inhofe, Rep. Boren,

I am writing about the National Defense Authorization Act (S. 1867/H. R. 1540). This legislation authorizes the President of the United States to order the military to arrest and detain American citizens for “suspected” terrorist activities or sympathies. It also provides for indefinite detention, at sites either inside or outside of the United States, without charges being preferred against said citizen. Apparently, according to a White House statement, Obama objects to the alien detainee provisions of this legislation. That is just great, our esteemed leader objects to alien detention but not citizen detention! That tells me a great deal about the design and purpose of this legislation. All that is necessary to enact the provision of this legislation is for a neighbor to denounce a citizen as a “possible terrorist”. History is full of denunciations; the French revolution, the Salem witch trials, the Russian revolution, Nazi Germany, China, Cuba, North Korea, etc.

By passing this legislation you are effectively negating the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th amendments to the Constitution of the United States of America. This legislation has also begun the active search for private companies to staff the FEMA camps that have been built as a result of S. 645, passed in 2009 I believe it was. At the time I protested the building of these camps, designed just like the concentration camps of Nazi Germany. The response was that these camps were built for housing victims of natural disasters. I didn’t buy that lie then and I don’t buy it now. These camps are for the subjugation and imprisonment of American citizens who will not bow down to a tyrant.

If the government intent is housing victims of natural disasters, why the razor wire and barbed wire? Why the double fence with a guard and dog run between the fences? Why the huge iron gates with the massive locks and chains? Why the guard houses outside the compound? Why the machine gun capable guard towers? Why the proximity to railroad tracks, just as in Nazi Germany? Am I to understand that civilians being housed after their homes have been destroyed have to be fenced in like animals? Sounds like Bovine Scatology to me.

And why all of a sudden does Congress and the Obama regime begin staffing these camps? This new legislation comes out, after the camps being around for 3 years, and suddenly it is important to begin staffing them right before the 2012 elections? Would this have anything to do with Governor Beverly Perdue (D- North Carolina) calling for the suspension of elections? Would this have anything to do with Rep. Jesse Jackson (D-ILL), and others, calling for the suspension of the Constitution so Barack Obama can “do what he needs to do” to “transform this nation”? Is this in preparation for those who disobey martial law provisions?

Would this have anything to do with the provision in Obamacare providing for a civilian “defense force” equal to or greater than the United States military, equipped as well or better than the United States military and pledging their loyalty to Obama? Has this happened before in history? I seem to remember Hitler’s Brown Shirts, the SS, and the Gestapo. I remember the KGB and their terror campaign against anyone who spoke up for freedom, or was even suspected of thinking about freedom.

If the government is concerned about ”homegrown” muslim terrorists it doesn’t need FEMA camps divided into 10 districts with hundreds of camps scattered throughout the nation. There aren’t that many muslims, much less muslim terrorists in America. Of course, with the current regime not acknowledging muslim terrorism that can’t be the reason for the camps can it?

And what does the current regime, and many in Congress, consider the threat to America? Let’s take a look at what the Department of Homeland Security considers a threat: Military veterans, especially combat veterans and those with special operations training, white males, Christians, NRA members, people missing fingers (?), those who are against abortion on demand, TEA Party members or supporters, anyone with extra food and water in case of emergencies, gun owners, and on and on. Need I go on with the list?
That our government is targeting American citizens with this bill is plain enough. The Obama regime, along with the Democrats and RINO’s in Congress, has been targeting conservatives for several years and now we see this being brought into a clearer focus.

It is bad enough that these things are happening but to see the votes be 93-7 in the Senate and 406-17 in the House is staggering, and frightening. Now I understand that the versions are being forged into a single bill behind closed doors. Once again We the People see our government doing things behind closed doors, subjugating us by subterfuge. Transparancy? Not in Washington D. C.

All of a sudden Lindsey Graham and John McCain come out and say they didn’t realize that this bill provides for the repeal of sodomy and bestiality regulations in the military. It is bad enough that these regulations are taken out but for two of the leading proponents of this to now say they didn’t know what is in the bill is appalling once again. Do they, or you, know what else is in the bill? Is this “we have to pass it so we can find out what is in it” legislation again? Does anyone read anything in Washington or does everyone go on talking points by those who write such tripe?

This is what Operation Fast & Furious was all about wasn’t it? Manufacture an excuse to abolish the 2nd Amendment and begin the systematic confiscation of all firearms. Adolph Hitler did this as a prelude to his massacre of millions, Stalin did this as a prelude to his massacre of millions, and guess what, every other despot who desires to subject his citizens to tyranny first rounds up any method of self-defense before slaughtering citizens wholesale.

You have essentially declared war, in the normal back room manner, on We the People, the citizens of the United States. I believe Congress and the administration either don’t understand the gravity of what you are doing or don’t care. Our nation was forged when farmers and woodsmen who desired to live in freedom stood up against a tyrannical government and won their freedom from King George and England. We the People will not be subjugated again. Our forefathers have fought war after war against tyranny, first to stop the tyranny, and many more times to prevent it from returning.

The Revolutionary War won our freedom, the War of 1812 preserved it. The Civil War won freedom for slaves, black and white. World War II preserved the freedom won in the first wars by stopping the tyranny of Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo. And now while our brave soldiers are fighting tyranny in foreign lands their government is busy subjugating their families back home.

This will not be allowed to stand. You can kill thousands of us, you can imprison millions of us in the FEMA camps but you will never be able to subjugate the will of the American people. We have known freedom for too long to let it go by the wayside now. Americans are not going to give up their guns and passively walk into the gas chambers as the Jews did in Nazi Germany. We the People will not stand idly by and see our freedoms taken by despots, regardless of which political party they belong to. You will have to fight us in the streets, the country, and wherever you find us. There are millions of us ready to defend our freedoms, and the freedoms of our fellow citizens, with our lives. We will not surrender to tyranny peacefully.

Congress needs to scrap this legislation and go back to the drawing board. In the first place, these “comprehensive” bills have more trash than substance in them because no one reads any of them due to the length and the fact that reading legislation takes time away from “more important things”. Any provision that allows citizens to be treated other than provided for in the Constitution should be summarily tossed into the garbage can. Our national defense can be provided for without subjugating the American people to summary arrest without charge, without trial, without just cause.

The same Republicans who gave us the Patriot Act are now tightening the screws even more. I assume this will continue until we fight back. I don’t condone violence and don’t wish to see it come to that but We the People can only take so much before we won’t back up any longer. The TEA Party arose out of abuse by government, choosing to peacefully protest government tyranny. Unlike the Occupy Wall Street clowns, TEA Party people rallied in peace, without assaults, without vandalism, without rapes, without attacking police, without arrests. That should prove the patriotism of TEA Party minded people and show government that we expect to be heard without resorting to violence.

Don’t misunderstand and take the peaceful rallies of conservatives as a lack of resolve. Peaceful doesn’t mean cowardly, it means willing to work within the system to make changes. Peaceful doesn’t mean we will willingly march to the slaughter house.
I look forward to hearing that this situation has been resolved and that We the People are not going to be forced to fight a second war for independence.

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.
Sincerely,

Bob Russell

There Will be Blood in the Streets Today: Beware of D12

Today, Monday Dec. 12th, 2011 Occupiers, Unions, Migrant workers and all around anarchists are planning to shut down every western shipping port in America. If you are not aware of the past history of violent acts perpetuated by those involved in planning this action, Michelle Malkin has their most recent violence well-documented here. For those of you living and/or working on the West coast today, it would be wise to take precautions here.

The following video provides a sample of what we can expect to see in this so-called “peaceful protest” today. Witness the call for violence that many warned could very well lead to blood in the streets in the very near future:

After Jimmy Hoffa Jr’s violence-inducing speech above, we see just what happens when Union organizers are confronted about their violent actions in the following video clip. WARNING Graphic Language:

Now take a good look at the Workers World webpage. Note the following violence-inducing rhetoric from their opening paragraph:

Battle lines have formed as the West Coast Occupy movements, from San Diego to Alaska, flex their collective muscle against the federally coordinated, brutal attacks targeting the pro-Occupy Wall Street movements across the country. They are organizing for blockades of West Coast ports on Dec. 12 in San Diego; Los Angeles/Long Beach; Port Hueneme, Calif. (central coast); Oakland; Portland, Ore.; Seattle; Tacoma, Wash.; and possibly more. Solidarity actions have been called by OWS in New York and inland locations, as well. (emphasis mine)

This is a direct result of Mayors, Politicians and PC Police across America declining to clamp down on these so-called “peaceful protests” in the early stages and preventing their lawlessness from expanding. Look at the above information and videos. Do these people look peaceful? This is what these agitators have been angling for from day 1. Chaos, and the soon to come blood in the streets as these protesters work their way into a violent mob-frenzy that will lead to direct confrontations with Police agencies that have taken an oath to serve and protect the citizenry.

CEO of German Deutsche Bank Targeted with Package Bomb

Merkel and Sarkozy, Plotting the protectionism of Germany and France while the rest of Europe is bankrupt

A package addressed to Deutsche Bank CEO Josef Ackermann  was intercepted in Frankfurt, Germany on Wednesday that contained explosives and shrapnel, with a return address of the European Central banks headquarters, which is located just a few blocks away from Deutsche banks HQ.   Fox News  is reporting that the NYPD is warning local banks to bolster mailroom security and that the NYPD’s deputy commissioner, Paul Browne had stated that several police officers were being sent around to Deutsche bank locations throughout the city to exercise “an abundance of caution.”

So-called [and unnamed] U.S. officials are now coming out of the woodwork with several possible explanations of just who could be behind this bomb plot. This comes on the heels of announcing that there are no strong leads in the case, so any theories are mainly conjecture at this point. First they are pointing at Al Qaeda in the Arabian peninsula, mainly because they were behind last years cargo printer bombs.  While the method of operation was similar there, the attempted Deutsche bank bombing appears to be directly pointed at one single person- CEO Josef Ackermann. So far it is an isolated incident whereas the cargo printer bomb plot involved multiple targets.

Another scenario being tossed around by officials is the recent Iran threat against U. S. troops stationed around Germany. Whoever came up with this theory appears to lack common sense and any hint of “intelligence,” as is shown by the fact that the bomb targeted the CEO of Deutsche bank, not a military base, or any place U. S. troops in Germany would frequent, such as a nightclub.

One only has to look into the European debt crisis, riot- protests, and the toppling of several leaders of EU countries recently to see that this bomb plot probably was meant to send a strong warning message against certain elements in the EU plutocracy that have been manipulating the bailouts/ non-bailouts of the smaller EU countries and their part in creating the major debt-crisis. Right smack dab in the middle of all of this EU, IMF, and European Central bank financial maneuvering has been Angela Merkel and Deutsche bank. From the Fox news article linked above, we see the following very interesting tidbit :

Ackermann, along with other Deutsche Bank executives, are being investigated over alleged false testimony they gave during a major civil lawsuit in Germany, which raises additional questions about the origins of the package. Reuters reported that Ackermann is one of the few executives in Germany always surrounded by bodyguards.

ECB

And then we have the “Occupy Frankfurt” movement pitching their tents across the street from the ECB, which by the way, who’s return address was on the mail bomb package.  The MO here could fit some of the Occupy patterns, as in the fact that officials are saying the bomb was not sophisticated, and the devious idea of putting the return address of the ECB on the bomb package certainly would fit the same pattern of Occupy slogans and some of the  cutesy rhetoric we have seen on the Occupiers signs recently.  There is also a heavy presence of Anarchists at these Occupy camps, and they have a history of bombings and attempted mayhem very similar to this attempt.

In summary, this appears to be a domestic (as in EU) issue, as opposed to a foreign terrorist plot. One thing we can be sure on, is that whoever is behind this plot will be dismissed as a raving lunatic in order to cover up any of  the EU plutocracy’s transgressions that this person/group is trying to take action against. The EU is drowning in debt and several countries are bankrupt. Meanwhile Angela Merkel’s Germany sits right in the middle of the Eu and currently enjoys relatively low unemployment and prosperity while the rest of the EU is forced to undertake severe austerity measures which have people rioting. Germany’s  Deutsche bank CEO was just made the target of a bomb plot.  This could be a single isolated incident to send a stiff message to the elitist bankers and plutocrats of the EU, or it could be the start of real chaos in Europe. You can bet another big player in all of this is under heavy protection today also, as in Mr Nicholas Sarkozy the current President of France.  Merkel and Sarkozy, as pictured above are really bombarding the press with supposed plans to deal with the very EU debt-crisis that they themselves  have created,   as seen here.

Only time will tell as to whether these theories that are expressed here, compiled by looking at the complete picture of just what is happening in Europe today are true.  One thing we can be darn sure of, is that this bombing attempt is not the work of foreign terrorists, simply because all they have to do is sit back and watch the EU implode all on it’s own, thanks to the likes of Merkel, Sarkozy and the globalists behind them.

Wanna See A Breakdown In Society? Look No Further Than Your Nearest Grocery Store

While CDN is primarily considered to be a political website, I contend that mundane aspects of our culture can sometimes be a part of the equation that get overlooked.  One of the issue that’s been on my mind lately is how we treat each other publicly.  If the last couple of decades were known for being overly “P.C.”, then I fear this next decade could be the decade of “naked aggression” towards one another.

An act as simple as going grocery shopping has become stressful and unpleasant for many over the last few years.  Our fellow motorists on the road have long been a topic of discussion in our country, but now I see hostilities and conflict extending beyond the pavement and the stoplights.  Now the grocery store and even the parking lot itself seem to be unsafe havens in our world today.

Last Saturday, I began my (weekly) show, Married to the Game, with observations on what it’s like to go shopping in Southern California.  Below, I’ve combined some of that commentary with pictures and video that I took from a Walmart parking lot, both out of frustration and in an attempt to share with other people what I’ve been witnessing.  Ultimately, I’d love to get a conversation started in this country about how we can go back to better conducting ourselves and being “better citizens” in public.  But until then, you can find entertainment in my pain in this video below.

So what are your thoughts?  Am I just crying over misplaced shopping carts?  Are there bigger problems in the world?  Or is this video indicative of our “EBT” and “OWS” culture?

Also… In the video, I discuss how this has encouraged me to do more shopping online, thus costing local stores my business.  As more and more people seem to shop online, what effect do you think this has on our communities?

Let us know in the comments below. (or on Facebook)  This is a topic I believe we should all think more about.

An American Anthem

I recently assigned Ayn Rand’s novella Anthem to my freshman English students as a reading assignment. I’ve read this piece numerous times over the years, but this was the first time I had read it through someone else’s eyes – my students’. It also resonated with me differently this time because of the current entitlement crisis as represented by the Occupy movement.

Those who have not read Anthem, or are unfamiliar with Ayn Rand, might not know that the prevailing goal in her writing is to show the superiority of individualism to collectivism. In Anthem, she paints the picture of a society in which government provides everything for all and no individuals or traits of individuality are allowed to exist. Vocations and breeding partners are chosen by the government. Humans are not even permitted to have names. Instead, they are classified into groups and then given a number. The protagonist, for example, is referred to as Equality 7-2521. The words used to reference characters in the story are all collective in nature (“we,” “us” and “our”), even when it is clear to the reader that a speaker is simply referring to him or herself.

This notion is strangely reminiscent of the ways in which Americans have begun to categorize themselves. Take the popular practice of hyphenating cultural identities as an example. We are not individuals or even Americans in this country anymore. We are “African-Americans” or “Mexican-Americans.” Beyond our collective cultural labels, we are grouped according to our socio-economic status: “middle America,” “millionaires and billionaires,” or “the less fortunate.” One can quickly begin to see that the distinction between the fictional, government-imposed label “Equality 7-2521” and the self-imposed OWS label “We are the 99%!” is minor. In fact, it’s much more offensive that Americans would impose such collective ideals upon themselves.

The Occupy crowd argues that the government should provide health insurance, free college tuition, homes, and a job for everyone. This is precisely how it happens in Rand’s Anthem. Equality 7-2521 is relegated to the vocation of street sweeper. Though he is quite brilliant in math, he accepts this lesser position and views it as an unintentional consequence for his near-obsession with the illegal activity of knowledge acquisition. You see, he reads. Voraciously. Through the course of his reading activity, he eventually comes across the forbidden word “I,” and this is where Rand’s plot takes a hopeful turn. Upon recognition that he is an individual, his eyes open to possibilities, his mind to new perspectives. At one point, he finally “sees himself” when he looks into a pond and notices his reflection. As a result of these discoveries, he begins to rebel.

Those who are active in the Occupy movement already seem to have rebellious tendencies, so perhaps we can assume that they are just an ignorant bunch. Like Equality 7-2521 – who eventually assigns himself the name of Prometheus – perhaps each individual of the entitlement mindset should undertake the challenge of reading his or her way to self-discovery. Maybe each should also take a look in the mirror and decide whether or not he likes the reflection he sees. He should read Rand’s prediction of what life would be like if the government was the end all, be all. Considering she escaped the Bolshevik Revolution in Soviet Russia, Rand’s words bear the weight of experience and should not be discounted. She wrote Anthem – and subsequent novels The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged – because she saw signs decades ago that America was headed down the same Socialist path.

Perhaps the best lesson in reading this 100-page fictional story can be found in its nod to ancient myth. The mythological character on which Rand’s Prometheus is based is best known for stealing fire from Zeus and offering it to humankind so that humans could rely on themselves instead of the powerful overseer. It would be great to see these same principles applied to those who classify themselves as “less fortunate” or who think they are “entitled” to have someone else provide for them. These Occupiers need to see themselves as empowered and not entitled. Rand paints the dismal picture of what the world would look like if we relinquished all individual power and allowed ourselves to be grouped into categories, to be controlled by our government. She shows us what thinking of ourselves as part of the 99% really looks like, and it ain’t pretty.
