America Remains World’s Top Energy Producer

America #1 energy producer

America #1 energy producerBank of America reports that the United States will remain the world’s top energy producer this year and for some time to come despite the current administration’s attempts to curb energy exploration and transportation.

President Obama has done everything within his power (and some things not so within it) to suppress American energy production. As Bank of America reported, America’s energy producers have refused to give in.

U.S. production of crude oil, along with liquids separated from natural gas, surpassed all other countries this year with daily output exceeding 11 million barrels in the first quarter, the bank said in a report today. The country became the world’s largest natural gas producer in 2010. The International Energy Agency said in June that the U.S. was the biggest producer of oil and natural gas liquids.

Questionable regulations and preventing the completion of the Keystone XL pipeline have been top priorities of the Obama administration while millions of Americans struggle to put a full tank of gas in their vehicles or pay other energy bills. Thanks to American energy producers, things have been kept at least survivable. BofA’s head of commodities research said that “the shale boom is playing a key role in the U.S. recovery. If the U.S. didn’t have this energy supply, prices at the pump would be completely unaffordable.”

Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of American producers, President Obama’s failures in the middle-east are keeping gas and energy prices artificially high.

“The shale production story is bigger than Iraqi production, but it hasn’t made the impact on prices you would expect,” said Blanch. “Typically such a large energy supply growth should bring prices lower, but in fact we’re not seeing that because the whole geopolitical situation outside the U.S. is dreadful.”

One way or another, it would seem that we will see energy prices “necessarily skyrocket.”

Paul Krugman: “Natural Born Liar”

Paul Krugman, he of the once-great N.Y. Times recently penned the article  Natural Born Drillers , in which he makes completely outlandishly false claims about the number of jobs created by the oil and gas industry, to go along with his usual fallacy-floundering Liberal propaganda punditry. Mr. Krugman finished up his latest ( and already discredited) propaganda piece with the following lines: (emphasis added)

“The rest of the answer is simply the fact that conservatives have no other job-creation ideas to offer.  And intellectual bankruptcy, I’m sorry to say, is a problem that no amount of drilling and fracking can solve.”

Speaking of blatant intellectual bankruptcy, here is a great example of it, pulled right from Krugman’s latest puff-piece masquerading as holier-than-thou opinion-speak from the great Liberal “Doctor of Propaganda” of the N.Y. Times:  “Employment in oil and gas extraction has risen more than 50 percent since the middle of the last decade, but that amounts to only 70,000 jobs, around one-twentieth of 1 percent of total U.S. employment. So the idea that drill, baby, drill can cure our jobs deficit is basically a joke.”

A person would in fact, have to be worse than intellectually bankrupt to print that piece of propaganda right there, when we look at these facts from Steve Maley:

Indeed, the industry subsector called “Oil and Gas Extraction: NAICS 211″, (part of the Mining, Quarrying, and Oil and Gas Extraction sector) shows the gain in jobs he describes, from roughly 120,000 jobs in 2004 to about 190,000 now. And he apparently stopped there.  190,000 jobs? Doesn’t that seem kinda low for an industry that comprises 8% or so of the economy?

Well, of course it is, because lots of oil industry jobs are counted in other categories. Most notably, the related subsector “Support Activities for Mining: NAICS 213″.

In NAICS 211, you find geologists, draftsmen and petroleum engineers like me, employed directly by the oil companies. NAICS 213 contains people that work for the “service companies” who work for the oil companies. These companies would include Halliburton, Transocean and Schlumberger, the companies that drill, frack, service and equip the wells. Job titles include roughnecks, roustabouts and service pump operators.

NAICS 213 is twice as big as NAICS 211: 379,100 at last count. NAICS 213 is where you find the really explosive job growth: nearly 200,000 jobs since 2004, including almost 70,000 just in the last year.

Mr. Maley is a petroleum engineer, unlike “Dr. Krugman” who, as far as anyone can prove, has never worked a day in his life, let alone worked anywhere in the energy industry. (other than trying to pass his intellectually bankrupt propaganda-punditry onto the uninformed citizenry of America under the guise of journalism)

Of course Krugman also uses his latest propaganda piece to bash Republicans for wanting to drill baby drill, by trying to make the already discredited statement that, “More and more, Republicans are telling us that gasoline would be cheap and jobs plentiful if only we would stop protecting the environment and let energy companies do whatever they want.”  Krugman makes the jaw-dropping straw man argument of implying that oil and gas companies are not regulated at all and can just “do what they want” to supposedly ruin the environment.  Colorado alone just mandated a whole slew of new rules and regulations for oil and gas extraction and environmental protection. The Marcellus Shale Corporation  exposed the ludicrous “end of pipe” water quality mandates in Pennsylvania as follows:  “There is not a single water treatment facility in Pennsylvania that could meet this unreasonable benchmark, which will not provide any additional environmental benefit.” North Dakota also has new oil regulations starting April 1st of this year. Does that information in any way point to an oil and gas industry that, as Krugman states, would “let energy companies do whatever they want?” No it doesn’t.

When it comes to actually reporting the facts, Mr. Krugman falls way short of anything even remotely connected to the truth, as we can see in his latest opinion piece claiming that oil and gas extraction of the “middle ” of the past decade has only resulted in 70,000 jobs. Krugman’s propaganda runs parallel to Obama’s recent campaign speeches in which the misinformation about oil and gas industry job creation runs rampant, as is also proven here:

A booming U.S. oil and gas sector was responsible for generating some 9 percent of all new jobs last year, with three indirect jobs for every one directly involved in the industry, a study released on Wednesday found. The report said the oil and gas industry contributed 37,000 direct jobs in 2011, which led to the creation of an additional 111,000 indirect jobs during the same period. It said the multiplier effect for solar and wind energy were lower during operation, but higher at up to 3.3 times during construction.

The U.S. oil and gas industry added 148,000 jobs in 2011 alone Mr. Krugman, which debunks your very simplistic cherry-picking of statistics from the “middle of the last decade” statistical usage to make the false-flag argument about future oil and gas industry job creation that you used in your now debunked Natural Born Drillers article. Man, these Liberals posing as intellectual academics are shameless in their neanderthalic attempts at parroting blatant lies posing as the truth today, and Mr. Krugman is obviously no exception.

Prosperity or Poverty?

The state of North Dakota currently boasts of a current rate of 3.2% unemployment. ( as of July 2011) It is adding billions of dollars to the states “Legacy Fund” which can not be touched until the year 2017, when the accrued interest will be made available to spend unlike the irresponsible states that spend the money years before it is accrued, mainly through budgetary gimmickry.

They are looking to hire an additional 18,000 people for jobs today.

North Dakota is investing in an infrastructure overhaul to repair, replace and upgrade schools and roadways to the tune of a whopping $1.2 billion dollars. Public schools will also receive $340 million dollars in the next two years, while the state will also pump up the disaster relief fund and lower property taxes.

Welcome to North Dakota, the boom-town of the new millennium.

Are the massive infrastructure spending projects, the improvements to the schools, and the state’s future financial security being paid for by taxing the successful businessman and entrepreneurs, as President Obama and the Liberal Democrats are demanding today? Not in North Dakota they aren’t. Is this massive increase in State revenues that is leading to prosperity and jobs for all the citizens of North Dakota due to big government meddling and the oppressive regulations coming from the unelected radical appointees of the EPA? Not even close. As a matter of fact, the current resurgence in increased state revenues that are benefiting all of North Dakota’s citizens are happening despite the overbearing regulations being imposed on America by the EPA. The wonderful increase in North Dakota’s economy and state revenues is in fact, due to one thing and only one thing: Oil production.

If the EPA is allowed to continue unchecked by the United States Congress in passing laws posing as new regulations such as they did with the cross-state pollution farce, North Dakota’s booming economy could come to a screeching halt in no time flat. The thousands of jobs, the new schools and roadways, the billions of dollars being put into the Legacy Fund, and the increased prosperity of North Dakota could disappear at the snap of a finger! It could disappear under the weight of the EPA and environmental terrorists posing as lawmakers, through their current attempts to stop the process of what is known as fracking, which is when they use hydraulic fracturing techniques to extract shale oil. This is what happens when radical political appointees are permitted to create laws that have not been approved by the only legislative branch of the U.S. Government, the U.S. Congress.

We the people need to apply extreme pressure to our elected officials in Congress, and demand the EPA be reigned in from passing unconstitutional laws onto the people through fiat, or under the guise of “new rules and regulations.” The time is now to stop the EPA before the wonderful prosperity we see in North Dakota today disappears under a cloud of EPA-regulated dust.

Rick Perry Releases New Ad: Creating Jobs

It didn’t pass the wife test and she keeps hoping Rick’s going to come out with something to change the game. For her – this wasn’t it.

It’s a position ad and one that only talks about one thing – energy jobs. The challenge may be that while this helps Texas and the Gulf coast – what about non-oil producing states?

Breitling Oil and Gas Announces Exploration in Louisiana

IRVING, Texas, June 14, 2011 — Breitling Oil and Gas Corporation, an independent exploration and production company based in Irving, Texas, announced that it has spud the Breitling-Sandy Run #1 prospect in St. Helena Parish, Louisiana on June 12, 2011.

The Breitling-Sandy Run #1 is a 3800′ well and is targeting Miocene Sands which showed seismic amplitude anomalies on a recently acquired 3D data set.

The Sandy Run Prospect is regionally located on the Gulf Coastal Plain with structural dip predominantly in a south to southwest direction. Sandy Run is on strike with numerous Frio gas fields found to the northwest in Amite Co., Mississippi. These Frio fields were found using seismic that identified the reservoirs by a similar amplitude anomaly.

Breitling Oil and Gas expects to recover reserves of 6 to 9 BCF of natural gas.

Management anticipates the well will reach total depth in about 7 days. Well completion and testing should begin during the first week of July.

Breitling Oil and Gas CEO Chris Faulkner stated, “I am pretty bullish on natural gas pricing over the next 18 months so it’s the perfect time to drill the Breitling Sandy Run.” Faulkner added, “We have great well control and 3D over the prospect and the reserves could be sizeable.”

An additional 3 wells can be drilled if commercial production is found in the initial test well. Breitling has current oil and gas exploration projects all over the United States.

For more information on this and other activities of the Company, see the Breitling Oil and Gas website at http://www.breitlingoilandgas.com.

Democrats Love Affair With Big Oil

Debbie-Wasserman-Shultz-loves-big-oilRecently Debbie Wasserman Shultz (D-Fl), who also happens to be the new head of the DNC, was on Fox News with some astounding revelations that Democrats have really concentrated on oil production recently. This comes from a woman who has voted against every single aspect of domestic oil exploration and development for the past decade in Congress ! While statistics do show that there has been a recent uptick in U.S. oil production in the last two years, the reasons behind this uptick are anything but the results of the Democratic Socialist Party  heaping huge amounts of love upon big oil companies all of a sudden. As a matter of fact, just the opposite is true. Just last month the Democratic message about slowing the skyrocketing prices of gasoline was that it takes ten years to develop new oil deposits and extract them, so it is not their fault we are now seeing four dollar a gallon gasoline. Today the message has been reversed by the DNC, as they try to stake claim for the 2009-2010 slight increase in domestic oil production today. Just watch the lies and misinformation roll off of the tongue of the new DNC propaganda mistress here in the following video.

First of all, U.S. oil production has been in a steady decline since 1986, when we were producing approximately nine million barrels of oil a day, down to approximately five million barrels a day in 2008. This is due to such things like environmental activist groups pushing the green agenda with the help of the very same Democratic party’s support that Wasserman Shultz is now the chair of. Throw in the bi-partisan support of the progressive RINOS of the Republican Party of the past two decades, and we lost a total of four million barrels of domestic oil production a day, for the past twenty-three years! In the above video, take note of Wasserman Shultz’ play on words there when she says the Democrats have worked hard to give us the “recent” increase of oil production. Recent, as in the past two years, when we have increased our oil production from the low point of five million barrels a day up to… five and a half million barrels a day. That still leaves us with a deficit of four and a half million barrels of oil a day from our production levels of 1986. Do the math, and you will find out that it is still a hell of a lot of lost oil production over the past twenty five years! 365 days a years, times 4.4 million barrels of oil, then multiply that total by 25, and you will see just how much we lost out on, and how that forces our massive continued dependency on the very same Foreign oil that Democrats say we need to wean ourselves from, while they continue to push the unrealistic green agenda of today.

Wasserman Shultz voting record shows us just how hard she has worked to increase ( not) our domestic oil production. From Energy and Oil – Florida politics :

  • Voted YES on enforcing limits on CO2 global warming pollution. (Jun 2009)
  • Voted YES on tax credits for renewable electricity, with PAYGO offsets. (Sep
    2008)
  • Voted YES on tax incentives for energy production and conservation. (May
    2008)
  • Voted YES on tax incentives for renewable energy. (Feb 2008)
  • Voted YES on investing in homegrown biofuel. (Aug 2007)
  • Voted YES on criminalizing oil cartels like OPEC. (May 2007)
  • Voted YES on removing oil & gas exploration subsidies. (Jan 2007)
  • Voted YES on keeping moratorium on drilling for oil offshore. (Jun 2006)
  • Voted NO on scheduling permitting for new oil refinieries. (Jun 2006)
  • Voted NO on authorizing construction of new oil refineries. (Oct 2005)
  • Establish greenhouse gas tradeable allowances. (Feb 2005)
  • Rated 100% by the CAF, indicating support for
    energy independence. (Dec 2006)

Since Wasserman-Shultz is the new chair of the DNC, let’s put Senator Bill Nelson’s D-Fl) record up here for all to see also, since they are the two most powerful Florida politicians representing the Socialist Democratic Party up in DC today:

  • We can’t drill, drill, drill our way to oil independence. (Oct 2006)
  • Supports spending resources to stop Global Warming. (Sep 2000)
  • Voted YES on protecting middle-income taxpayers from a national energy tax.
    (Apr 2009)
  • Voted NO on requiring full Senate debate and vote on cap-and-trade. (Apr
    2009)
  • Voted YES on tax incentives for energy production and conservation. (Jun
    2008)
  • Voted YES on addressing CO2 emissions without considering India & China.
    (May 2008)
  • Voted YES on removing oil & gas exploration subsidies. (Jun 2007)
  • Voted YES on making oil-producing and exporting cartels illegal. (Jun 2007)
  • Voted YES on factoring global warming into federal project planning. (May
    2007)
  • Voted YES on disallowing an oil leasing program in Alaska’s ANWR. (Nov 2005)
  • Voted YES on $3.1B for emergency oil assistance for hurricane-hit areas.
    (Oct 2005)
  • Voted YES on reducing oil usage by 40% by 2025 (instead of 5%). (Jun 2005)
  • Voted YES on banning drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. (Mar
    2005)
  • Voted YES on Bush Administration Energy Policy. (Jul 2003)
  • Voted YES on targeting 100,000 hydrogen-powered vehicles by 2010. (Jun 2003)
  • Voted YES on removing consideration of drilling ANWR from budget bill. (Mar
    2003)
  • Voted NO on drilling ANWR on national security grounds. (Apr 2002)
  • Voted NO on terminating CAFE standards within 15 months. (Mar 2002)
  • Supports tradable emissions permits for greenhouse gases. (Aug 2000)
  • Include pickup trucks in CAFE; include hybrids in HOV lanes. (Feb 2002)
  • Keep efficient air conditioner rule to conserve energy. (Mar 2004)
  • Establish greenhouse gas tradeable allowances. (Feb 2005)
  • Rated 100% by the CAF, indicating support for
    energy independence. (Dec 2006)
  • Set goal of 25% renewable energy by 2025. (Jan 2007)
  • Let states define stricter-than-federal emission standards. (Jan 2008)

Voting records do not lie folks, but they do expose the truth about just what the Democratic Party is doing as far as developing our own energy production in the United States of America today. Do not take any stock in what the Democrats of today “say” they are doing, as we see it is nothing more than a bunch of misinformation and propaganda right here, but pay more attention to what they do, as in voting to cripple our own energy development. So when you see the new DNC Propaganda Mistress, Wasserman-Shultz telling you about the DNC’s new love affair with big oil and domestic energy production as in the video above, think about the facts in this article the next time you pay to fill up your vehicle with that high-priced gasoline. Also remember Obama and his fake Democratic party in 2012 when it comes time to vote for some real change we can believe in. Just do not expect any change from that $100.00 bill when filling up your gas tank today. Those days are now over, unless we get rid of the green energy Socialists and anti-Capitalists in our government, and soon. That means voting against democrats and pro-gressive RINOS in 2012.

House Speaker Unveils New American Energy Initiative

Speaker Boehner: Facts Simply Don’t Match Obama Administration Statements on American Energy*

In watching the president’s recent speech last week, several glaring mis-statements should have been obvious to even the most naive Americans in the audience. In what appears to be a response to those statements, Speaker Boehner has come out with a new American Energy Initiative that sounds  good from first glance, but has one glaring problem. In his opening statement we see what that is at the root of the problem that will keep this initiative mired in ineffectiveness,  while possibly exposing Obama’s agenda :

“Rising gas prices are a major burden for American families and small businesses already dealing with a tough economy.  While the Obama Administration claims to be committed to American energy production, the facts and its own actions say otherwise.  Yesterday, the new House majority announced the American Energy Initiative, an ongoing effort to stop Washington policies that are driving up gas prices and expand American energy production.  To address rising gas prices, reduce our dependence on foreign energy, and help create American jobs, we invite President Obama to join us in turning this plan into action.” (emphasis mine)

While it is commendable to invite the president to join in this initiative, I find myself wondering just what makes Speaker Boehner think the president will do the exact opposite of his past patterns of pushing green energy schemes, no matter the cost to the American taxpayer? Inherent within the Socialist ideology of wealth redistribution comes the fact that Obama wants to crush our domestic  oil industry in order to pursue green energy fantasies that haveproven to be a colossal, expensive failure throughout Europe and other countries. It has also shown to be largely wasteful here in America, in the failed venture of a company making solar panels in California, that threw away $500 million tax dollars… for nothing! ( it went out of business, after that  green fantasy wealth redistribution scam failed, yet still succeeded in dishing out $500 million taxpayers to someone)

The green energy scheme is proven to be a complete failure in a motorcitytimes.com** article that states:

The tiny island of Eigg off the coast of Scotland made a big push for ‘green energy’ recently. They designed their system to provide 95% of the electrical needs for the 87 residents of their island. This should be fairly straightforward, since the residents of the island are not big users of electricity to start with. They only received regular electrical service in February 2008.

The new ‘green energy’ system the residents of Eigg installed was designed to provide a meager 5kW (max.) of power per household.

Right now, however, their award-winning and highly complex eco-energy system, which allows each household access to a maximum of 5kW of energy at a time (enough to power a washing machine, a small heater or a kettle, but not all at once), is lying largely idle.

So the wind turbines are still and silent. The hydro turbines in the rivers and dams are quiet. And toasted teacakes and hot tea are off the menu at the Eigg Tearooms.

So what on earth’s going on? Have the Eigg eco-innovators been victims of some act of jealous vandalism? Has their award- winning electricity system blown a fuse?

Er, no. It turns out that when the good people of Eigg put their faith in strong winds and pounding rain to provide all their electricity needs, they overlooked one possibility – a spell of lovely weather.

Go figure, no rain or wind and the solar panels are not cutting it. Of course this is not a big deal to the residents of Eigg, but imagine how chaotic this would be in a large US City.

We’ve never taken electricity for granted,’ says Maggie, 61, has lived on Eigg for 34 years and has a daughter and granddaughter living nearby.

‘Until a couple of years ago, I was supplied by a tiny hydroelectric generator that produced a maximum of 1kW of power. Which powered my lights, TV and computer, but not a washing machine, electric kettle, toaster or anything like that. And I was one of the lucky ones.’

A few of her neighbours had no running water and others relied on their own generator which had to be turned on every morning by hand.

‘So if you got up for a pee in the middle of the night, you had to take a torch with you or fumble about in the dark,’ she adds.

‘And the noise was terrible. If you walked round in the evening, you’d hear a terrible thumping of generators.

If green energy can’t reliably provide power for 87 residents (who are not big consumers of electricity) how do supporters of ‘green energy’ propose we are going to power large US cities using windmills and solar panels?

Speaker Boehner has the right idea about the necessity of  increasing our domestic oil and gas production to offset the dependency of foreign oil in America today, and one other notable person weighed in on this ridiculous situation recently. Former President Bill Clinton said Friday that delays in offshore oil and gas drilling permits are “ridiculous” at a time when the economy is still rebuilding, according to attendees at the IHS CERAWeek conference.

President also made other statements in his speech last week that a common sense American must call out right here and now. Obama claims that “people across America are driving cars that get 50 miles per gallon of gasoline.”  There is no such car, period. While the Toyota Prius boasts of a possible 50 mpg highway, this is due to the combination of gas and electric usage.*** That is NOT a true 50 mpg. The president’s statement is misleading, to say the least. Next up in 2011 best gas mileage cars is a Honda, followed by a Ford Fusion Hybrid, and Ford is not owned by our government or their Union pals either. The fusion gets 41 mpg highway. The government motors humongous failure the Chevy Volt didn’t even make the list, probably due to the fact that as of last month that lovely government experiment and taxpayer funded boondoggle was failing to be able to deliver on the meager orders for the Volt they had already received. Missed that little fact didn’t you Mister President?

Obama also mislead the people on our domestic oil and gas production statistics today. Contrary to his statements that we are producing more oil and gas than ever before , two facts still loom: First, he has used the accident in the gulf to set oil exploration back a decade through exploration permit denials and over-regulation. Long term this will crush the oil industry and make us more dependant on foreign oil than ever before. Secondly, the facts on our oil production being more than ever today are a reflection on past administration’s policies, not Obama’s. To see what Obama has really done in in the short-term, please see these charts from freerepublic.com**** By 2012 we are projected to lose 450,000 barrels of oil production a day from Obama’s drilling moratorium just from the drilling moratorium in the gulf.

I see this new energy initiative in a different light than what it appears on the surface to be here. I believe Speaker Boehner is simply proving the point that the president has no inclination of increasing our domestic oil and gas production because that simply does not fit his wealth redistribution scheme. Obama can’t force his will on big oil and gas companies, can’t dictate whom they will hire, and can’t dictate how they will run their operations. They are a part of our capitalistic society that Obama and the left deem evil on a constant basis. If Obama and company can crush the oil and gas industry through green energy schemes run by the government, they can then take over the entire industry. To do that they must destroy the big oil and gas companies, period. When President Obama refuses to join in with Boehner’s American Energy Initiative and contribute towards ramping up our domestic energy production immediately, it will prove fatal for the Obama reelection campaign in 2012, as it will expose Obama’s leftist ideology of the big government takeover of our energy sector through his green energy schemes, while citizens are paying $4,$5 and even $6 dollars a gallon for gasoline.

Obama will not participate in this initiative in a meaningful manner, mark my words. His leftist, green fantasy base will make sure of that, by the time the 2012 elections roll around. Thank you, Speaker Boehner for helping expose Obama and his Socialistic agenda once again.

Why Oil Price Drop .. Doesn’t Matter

gas pricesYesterday everyone and their brother was reporting that oil prices had managed to settle near $104.

First, how is that good news? It’s just not as bad as the news we were told to expect. So does that make oil “unexpectedly” near $104??

Reading all the news, you’d think this was either good or confusing news. The news is not confusing, it points to a dangerous issue in American infrastructure – we can’t refine gasoline and petroleum distillates as fast as they are needed. Thanks to Obama’s confused and ill-conceived energy policy, America’s production centers, commuters, manufacturers and transportation business may come to a screeching halt.

The American Petroleum Institute said late Tuesday that crude inventories rose 3.8 million barrels last week while analysts surveyed by Platts, the energy information arm of McGraw-Hill Cos., had forecast an increase of 2.3 million barrels. However, inventories of gasoline fell 3.7 million barrels and distillates fell 1.5 million barrels, the API said.

Gasoline and distillate inventories dropped while oil inventories rose. Gasoline and distillates come from refineries. You know, those giant job-producing, product-manufacturing hubs of capitalism that the left-wing extremists have been limiting for decades. What that means is that gas prices, to use Obama’s words,  “..will necessarily skyrocket” regardless of the amount of available world oil. As our population and industry attempt to grow, a stagnating refining capacity will not be able to keep up. OPEC can pump until it’s blue in the face (not meant to be creepy), and it just won’t matter – we won’t be able to refine it into usable products. [1]

What?  You thought oil production was the issue? Sure, production is one issue, but even once we get ANWR, North Dakota (Bakken region), offshore, shale oil and every other kind of drilling going in the United States, we won’t have any way to turn it into gasoline.

Iran has this problem today. While they are a net exporter of crude oil, they are a net importer of gasoline – Obama intends to turn the United States into a net importer of gasoline and his plan.. is working.

Why would our President, who said he wanted to fix the trade deficit, want to make us a net importer of gasoline? Remember the “necessarily skyrocket” comment? Yes, if ALL energy sources get too expensive for us to pay for, we will have to turn to government subsidized green “energy” or worse yet, the government directly.  Either would be fine for our golfer-in-chief.

A predominant thought in the progressive, left-wing extremist, green energy movement is that gas prices need to escalate to levels close to those in Europe. In order to do that, we would have to import it – like Europe does. gas is cheaper in the United States because we don’t have to ship it in. We bring up or in the raw material, crude oil, and refine it here.  When we start importing most of our gasoline, we will have to pay for the cost of the raw material and foreign refining costs. Of course the next problem would be the World’s capacity to refine the gasoline, diesel and distillates. If American refining capacity does not continue to grow with world demand, prices for the refined crude products will have to rise.

We need increased refining capacity along with more production of coal, natural gas, crude.. all of it. Oil is about to become only one part of our dependency problem, and this one dependency has been created by yours truly – Barack H. Obama.
