Expect the Institutionalized “progressive” Left to Come Out in Force

Comedian Bill Maher gave $1 million to one of President Obama’s SuperPACs. Actor Alec Baldwin’s on record saying that Obama’s re-election ‘In the Bag’. Lanny Davis, who writes for The Hill, is busy covering up for U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder during Congressional investigations into the murder of U.S. Border Agent Brian Terry and hundreds of Mexican citizens resulting from the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms Fast and Furious gun-running scandal. MSNBC stopped inviting Conservative author Matt Lewis to contribute on-air after the site he works for, the Daily Caller, reported about the influence George Soros funded Media Matters for America wields over that Network. “Coincidentally”, Conservative pundit Pat Buchannan was also dropped by MSNBC around that same time.

As is always the case with any non-white or non-male Republican star, the institutionalized “progressive” left media is focused on Florida Senator Marco Rubio who, being a Hispanic from a crucial swing state, poses an existential threat to the re-election of Barack Obama. Not surprisingly, openly leftist actress Eva Longoria joined in the attack by saying “Marco Rubio has been coming up with some silly stuff that we really have to sort through”.

Meanwhile, the American mainstream media remains silent after a BarackObama speech where he joked: “I went to the speaker’s home town,” referring to a trip to House Speaker John Boehner’s battleground state of Ohio, “stood under a bridge that was crumbling.” Somebody in the crowd shouted, “Let him drive on it!”

Cue the sound of crickets.

This is the same press that had a field day back in 2008 when, on one or two occasions, a few folks attending McCain/Palin rallies shouted ugly comments from the crowd. These incidents were reported as major, top of the broadcast, front-page news. Repeatedly, with frequency and vigor.

During nationwide May Day demonstrations by OWS, occupiers themselves willing admitted that their protesters were taking marching orders from big labor and public service unions like the AFL-CIO and SEIU.

One of the leaders of the Occupy Cleveland movement, Brandon Baxter, was arrested for a terrorist plot to bomb a bridge in Cleveland Ohio. The plot has been directly linked to the Occupy movement. The names and the official complaint have been confirmed.

There were multiple incidences of violence around the country, with occupiers shouting the likes of “Pigs Go Home” and “Down with Capitalism”. With tear gas in Oakland, violence and vandalism in Seattle, SEIU members disrupting Los Angeles International Airport, with Occupiers calling themselves anarchists and hurling Molotov Cocktails; despite all evidence to the contrary, American taxpayer funded NPR is still calling the violent Occupy protests “restrained”.

By comparison, when the Tea Party was the topic de jour, Democrats and their “progressive” Party Pravda lapdogs were quick to blame the Tea Party for each and every violent incident around the country. More than one fringe leftist whack-job, impersonating responsible journalists on American television’s most irresponsible cable network, held Sarah Palin personally responsible for the Gabby Giffords shooting in Tucson Arizona. Their supposed rationale was her use of the word target when discussing campaign strategy. Never mind that in similar applications, the word “target” had been used frequently by members of the Democratic Party. Members of the institutionalized “progressive” left smear machine somehow forgot to inform the public that “target” was first used as political jargon by 1980 Democratic presidential candidate Walter Mondale’s political strategist Bob Beckel.

A review of the visitor’s log confirms that AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka and former SEIU President Andy Stern have been frequent visitors to the White House. SEIU alone spent approximately $60.7 million to help elect Barack Obama to the White House in 2008. SEIU expects a return on their investment. Barack Obama was quick to embrace the Occupy movement when he saw his poll numbers sliding.

Before this November’s elections American voters should duly note such connections.

In case you haven’t noticed, or have yet to become fully convinced, bias within the institutionalized “progressive” left media is both very real and pervasive. With the presidential general election campaign about to get into full swing, expect it to get much, much worse. Truth coming from the institutionalized “progressive” left’s smear machine is as likely as them reporting that Elizabeth Warren can’t prove she has Cherokee blood in her veins.

Occupy Protesters Charged With Hate Crimes, Robbery

Several members of the Occupy Oakland protest are accused of surrounding, taunting, battering and robbing a 20 year old area woman after she asked them to not riot in her neighborhood in late February.

An Oakland Police spokeswoman said that, “She was surrounded by three protesters and battered as they yelled vulgar epithets regarding their perception of her sexual orientation”.

The Occupy thugs then stole her wallet before she was able to break away and call the police.

One suspect was arrested at the scene and two others were taken into custody at a February 29th Occupy protest event. All three have been charged with felony counts of robbery and hate crimes.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Major Crimes Section at the Oakland Police Department.

400 “Peaceful” Oakland Occupiers Arrested

The Occupy Wall Street mob violence flared up again this past weekend in Oakland, Calif., resulting in over 400 arrests while many mainstream media puppeteers still refer to the Occupy protesters as being involved in a “peaceful” historic national movement across America. Yahoo has decided to slap a retread of a Reuters article title today that is titled, Arrests in Oakland protests rise to over 400  into their Destination 2012 section, which is supposed to be about the 2012 national elections. How does that decision line up with the Occupy Wall Street operatives and their constant claims that the movement is not political? Certain people are trying to give this “movement” validity by inserting it into a national politics section. Reuters goes out of it’s way to try to distance this weekend’s violence from the Occupy Wall Street mob several times in the above-linked article with the following tidbits: (emphasis added)

“The protests in most cities have been peaceful and sparked a national debate over how much of the country’s wealth is held by the richest 1 percent of the population. President Barack Obama has sought to capitalize on the attention by calling for higher taxes on the richest Americans.”

“Oakland Mayor Jean Quan accused a “violent splinter group” of the Occupy movement of fomenting the Saturday protests and using the city as its playground.” ( that would be the same Mayor who spoke at an Occupy Oakland Rally and largely refused to clamp down on these misfits, even when rampant drug abuse, rape, theft, and overall filthy conditions were being reported in these Occupy camps across America, and especially in Oakland)

“Crews cleaned up Oakland’s historic City Hall on Sunday from damage inflicted overnight during violent anti-Wall Street protests that resulted in about 400 arrests, marking one of the largest mass arrests since nationwide protests began last year.” (Notice the concentrated effort to not call these people who they really are, as in Occupy Wall Street protesters?)

The media is proven to be complicit in attempting to separate the Occupiers into two categories to nudge the public perception of just who these Occupiers really are. The thousands of violent acts, rapes, drug arrests, and massive reports of theft are all put into the “violent splinter group category”  in order to protect the supposedly peaceful, fun-loving, innocent rest of the group. The Occupiers claim to represent 99% of Americans while the fact remains that the informed citizenry finds them repulsive and disgusting, as many surveys have reported.  Politico  shows us that, at one point, 37% of Americans viewed the OWS  crowd favorably. That was the headline, by the way, while ignoring the other 63% of America that sees the OWS crowd for what it is: A bunch of nasty, defecating on police cars and urinating in the street, rabble-rousers, rapists, anarchists and low-life criminals who have no respect for the rest of society. Yet the media manipulators still paint them as some type of grassroots movement that is endeared by all of America, including  Mr. Barack Hussein Obama.

Of course the media has to paint the OWS mob in an angelic light, as we see in this article that the Occupiers do, in fact, have the support of the DNC and Barack Obama. Just ask yourselves one question: When, if ever, have you heard President Obama, any Democrat, or anyone in their media-puppet stable denounce the OWS perpetrators for the numerous reports of rape, theft, and their overall disrespect for the rest of society? Just watch how the media downplays this weekend’s 400+ Occupy Wall Street arrests in Oakland, just like they downplayed the planned shutdown of  many of America’s shipping ports back on Monday, Dec, 12th 2011. To note that after that action, Best Buy ended up with a shortage of electronics products that were ordered for Christmas. Coincidence? The public will never know, as the mainstream media largely refused to report on the mob action targeting the nation’s shipping ports 13 days before Christmas.

This latest Occupy Wall Street episode in Oakland actually started on Saturday, when the Occupiers tried to take over an empty downtown convention center to establish a new headquarters.  The Occupiers don’t think they should have to  pay for anything in life, they just take it.  To prove this point, they hurled bottles, pipe bombs, smoke bombs, burning flares, and assorted improvised explosive devices at police who were stopping them from taking over a convention center on Saturday. The police also warned the Occupy Wall Street protesters that they would not tolerate the continued violence and  overt lawlessness on Sunday. Occupy Wall Street chose to ignore the warning, thus over 400 of them were arrested.

Finally, after months of ignoring the Occupy Wall Street protesters in our nation’s capitol on orders from the administration of Barack Obama under the guise of free speech, the National Park Service will start enforcing the decades old ban on camping overnight in McPherson Square and Freedom Plaza on Monday at noon. We can look forward to more false-flag media stories about supposed police brutality and  abuse tomorrow coming out of DC, as the pattern of Occupy Wall Street protesters baiting police officers with camera’s at the ready will be sure to continue.

Update: Watch the mob violence here.

11,000 Freed from Bonds of Despotic Employment by Occupy Oakland

Occupy Oakland is continuing to show how dedicated they are to peacefully exercising their right to protest. Who wouldn’t want to stand in solidarity with these martyrs? They’ve already shown how impassioned they are about liberating the 99% from the tyranny of oppressive corporations. Why else would they be breaking the windows of small businesses and setting fire in the streets? And the nerve of the police to respond to the mere exercising of their civil liberties by tear gassing them and shooting rubber bullets!

And in their latest act of rebellion against ‘the man’, they’ve closed down the port of Oakland! This selfless act has managed to liberate 11,000 people from the bonds of despotic employment, and cost an estimated loss of four million dollars to the already struggling port. Another victory against the evils of capitalism! Wouldn’t it be great if now we could just shut down all the ports? Let’s envision that for a moment. Shutting down ports like those in Oakland is a strategy highly indicative of Cloward and Piven- overwhelm the system, in this case by shutting down shipping and forcing it elsewhere, to the point where it can no longer handle the pressure and collapses. Then someone like George Soros can step in and institute an open society- sound free and just to you?.

But do the protestors realize the full implications of this? Shutting down the ports and forcing business away means no more imports. Which means no more exotic products, like the coffee beans used to make those expensive lattes the anti-corporation protestors love so much. (Yes Starbucks, this hurts your profit margins!) And by the way, does Starbucks, who is introducing a new cup with a Nutcracker whose face is the Guy Fawkes mask that the group Anonymous and other Occupy groups have been sporting, realize it’s the kind of giant multi-national corporation that these people want to shut down and eat the CEO’s of?

John Galt, if you’re reading this: I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask any other man to live for mine.

Bad Math, Bad Move and Buh-Bye Men's Wearhouse

I have bought numerous suits, pants, sport coats, blazers, shirts, ties, shoes .. you name it from The Men’s Wearhouse – but that’s over now. In an effort to show solidarity with the Occupy Oakland protest, an Oakland store displayed the sign pictured to the right and joined the movement in its call for a national general strike.

Founder and Chairman George Zimmer has a history of supporting progressive candidates. That much I can deal with. To directly support a cause that calls for the fall of capitalism is despicable, hypocritical and outright wrong when you’ve benefited from it. How is it that a successful capitalist suddenly believes that one persons success comes at a cost to another?

It’s the zero sum lie. If I work my way up from my humble beginnings – somehow, someone else must be deprived of the same ability. It doesn’t work that way and either Zimmer knows it or he’s smoking something.

Displaying outright ignorance in the store window is even worse. The Occupy this and that movement is just a few hundred useful idiots being organized by every major anti-USA organization imaginable. They do NOT represent 99% of Americans. They don’t even represent 99% of democrats.

Perhaps Mr. Zimmer thought that he was really standing with 99% of consumers and felt that it was a ok if he lost maybe 1% of possible clothes buyers. Unfortunately for Mr. Zimmer, the 2-3% of America represented by the Occupy park benchers were never going to buy anything in his stores. For a brilliant business founder, George doesn’t seem to understand basic math.

Prior to today, I had been a Men’s Wearhouse customer. I imagine many middle-income earners like me shopped there. They offer quality clothes, well-trained staff at reasonable prices. Considering that George doesn’t believe that I should have the ability to get ahead like him, I can no longer continue buying merchandise in his stores.

The Men’s Wearhouse is not a franchiser. So if the store did this and HQ didn’t immediately offer an apology – there is implied support. I am not asking for a nationwide boycott against the chain of Men’s clothing stores. I just won’t ever shop there again.

The Men’s Wearhouse did respond on facebook. Their awful attempt at explaining the action takes the previously implied consent and pushed it to outright, full-blown support of the anti-capitalist movement. From their fan page:

We closed our store near Oakland City Hall today, for one day, to express the company’s concern for the issue of wealth disparity in our country. The issue affects our employees and customers across the political spectrum.

With that, I found another use for my chop saw:

Occupy Oakland and Unions

About 1,000 demonstrators blocked the intersection of 12th Street and Broadway on Wednesday, November 2, 2011. The Occupy Oakland general strike marched in a loop around downtown Oakland, CA. They have planned actions today to disrupt business. The city of Oakland is open for business. The Port of Oakland is not shut down, said ILWU spokesman Craig Merrilees. The demonstration aims to shut down the city by targeting banks, corporations, and the Port of Oakland in solidarity with the worldwide Occupy movement.

Several labor unions are urging their members to join the day of action. Unions representing Oakland’s public school teachers, community college instructors, city government workers and University of California, Berkeley teaching assistants have endorsed the strike. The California Nurses Association is encouraging its members to participate. However, the Oakland police union slammed Mayor Jean Quan for her “flip-flop” stance on the city’s Occupy protests. They questioned her motives and why the city plans to beef up its police presence at strike-related events while giving other city workers leeway to participate. “I am working with the police chief to make sure that the pro-99 percent activists – whose cause I support – will have the freedom to get their message across without the conflict that marred last week’s events,” Mayor Quan said.

The mayor is painting us as the bad guys in all of this,” Sgt. Dom Arotzarena, president of the Oakland police union, told AP. “We get one order one day and then she flip-flops the next day. We’re going to be seen as the establishment, and it’s not fair to the police.

BTW, see this excellent post by Kira Davis for more information.

Occupy Oakland Joins Public Unions for General Strikes, Sanctioned by City

In a move rife with irony, the Occupy Oakland movement has teamed up with local unions to participate in a general strike on Wednesday.  Not content to just complain about corporate greed, global warming or animal cruelty, the Occupiers have decided to expand their message to include school closures, reform to union benefits and cuts in social programs.  Members from teacher’s and nurses unions as well as other unions gathered to meet the Occupy protesters in front of Oakland’s City Hall Wednesday morning.  The city government of Oakland has graciously allowed its unionized employees to use personal days or sick time to join the strike.  Organizers plan to end the day’s activities at the Port of Oakland, where they hope to “halt the flow of capital” coming into the port.  The International Longshoreman and Warehouse Union say they are not able to sanction a strike, but support the movement against “corporate greed that is wrecking America”.

No word yet on whether anyone participating finds it ironic that Occupy Oakland is joining forces with the very unions responsible for sucking up so much taxpayer money that schools and social programs are forced to shut down.  America will wait breathlessly to see how many jobs were created at the Port of Oakland once the “flow of capital” is blocked.  Stay tuned to Conservative Daily News for more updates.
