Two DC Occupiers try to explain how to do away with the monetary system, yet still “buy” big screen TVs.
U.S. Park Police officers, converging on one of the nation’s last remaining Occupy sites, arrived before dawn Saturday. The officers entered on horseback and in riot gear placing barricades around McPherson Square, a federal park near the White House. The officers said they were not there to evict anyone, but to ensure the protestors following “no camping” laws. Although four people were arrested, a Park Police spokesman said there were no clashes between police and protesters.
The occupiers have been in McPherson Square since last October and have been, for the most part, left alone. This changed as last week the National Park Service announced it would enforce a camping ban. Although the ban took effect Monday, police did not immediately take steps to enforce the law.
Recently outraged Internet theologians took umbrage at my refusal to join the effort to transform Jesus into a big government, liberal Democrat that supports the Occupy squatters.
Most echoed secular interpreters of Christ who claim, “Jesus shares many of the values of those in the Occupy movement.”
I contend Jesus had plenty of time to confront civil authority, yet Christ focused on religious authority. He didn’t discuss politics with the centurion or tax rates with Matthew. In fact the only system of government approved by God was that of the judges, and the Jews disliked that arrangement so much they demanded a king.
Democracy and social justice are not mentioned in the New Testament because it’s not a political science or economics text. The Word is directed at individuals and not Wall Street, corporations, the GOP, Congress or the Koch brothers.
Solutions will come, if ever, from individuals acting on their own and not collectivists like Nancy Pelosi telling us what to do. But I try to keep an open mind. Maybe I haven’t spent enough time with Occupy to form an accurate opinion.
Fortunately, my daughter saved me a trip and reported back on her encounter with those New Testament individuals working to establish the Kingdom here on earth. Last Saturday night Occupy was marching through Downtown DC to block Obama’s appearance at that den of inequity, the Alfalfa Club Dinner. My daughter’s car was stopped at an intersection blocked by Occupy marchers and in no time at all these “Christ–like” crusaders for Justice saw she was a young woman alone.
They surrounded her vehicle and began the spreading their word. Some dropped their pants to expose my daughter to the persuasive message contained in their genitals. Others sat on the hood and pounded their fists. All this took place accompanied by an inspiring soundtrack of curses, vulgarities and sexual harassment.
She wasn’t mistaken for a member of the 1 percent, gloating over the misfortunes of the poor. She drives a rice burner approaching 135,000 miles that’s decorated with dents, dings and rust spots courtesy of dad’s attempt to repair a broken window.
She was singled out because Occupy harbors an increasing collection of gutless thugs who get off on frightening women and the weak.
There were approximately five offenses worthy of arrest: genital exposure, attempted destruction of property, blocking an intersection, disorderly conduct, assault and wearing a mask to conceal identity (particularly ironic since these laws were passed by “progressives” to fight the Klan). Yet the DC cop standing and idly watching did exactly nothing and the media seldom reports this type of outrage.
I’m wracking my brain here, but I can’t find equivalent behavior on the part of the Apostles. Josephus writes of a Roman soldier starting a riot when he mooned Jews from his perch in Antonia Fortress overlooking Jerusalem, but that’s hardly part of the Gospel.
What’s amazing is how Democrats and fellow–travelers in the media demonize the TEA party and romanticize Occupy leeches. When the ugly undercurrent of the real Occupy movement finally makes headlines, the excuse is always these lawbreakers are “fringe elements” and not part of the main movement.
Really? Then why have there been almost 4,000 Occupy arrests? That’s an active fringe. You don’t find that when searching arrests at TEA party events.
But even the TEA party has a fringe, so lets compare.
TEA party fringe believes the Bilderberg Group is a real threat. Occupy fringe defecates on police cars.
TEA party fringe believes the moon landing was faked. Occupy fringe discourages a rape victim from contacting police.
TEA party fringe believes there was a second shooter on the grassy knoll. Occupy fringe smashes its way into Oakland City Hall, vandalizes children’s artwork and burns the American flag.
TEA party fringe believes the US should return to the gold standard. Occupy fringe urinates on food vendors in NYC when they stop giving free food to Occupy parasites.
Law enforcement wizards in DC may finally be noticing a trend. U.S. Park police commanders have decided, after four months of hand wringing, that it might be time to enforce the law against camping in McPherson Square.
Warnings have been issued against camping and its related activity, sleeping. According to spokesman Sgt. David Schlosser officers have been ordered to investigate tents for clues that include “sleeping bags, teddy bears and kitchen equipment.”
After reading that it’s difficult to decide which group is more pathetic. The unfortunate Park Police officers forced to search for binkies and blankets before making an arrest; or the Occupy cheering section that continues to insist this confederacy of creeps is on board with the teaching of Jesus.
The Occupy Wall Street mob violence flared up again this past weekend in Oakland, Calif., resulting in over 400 arrests while many mainstream media puppeteers still refer to the Occupy protesters as being involved in a “peaceful” historic national movement across America. Yahoo has decided to slap a retread of a Reuters article title today that is titled, Arrests in Oakland protests rise to over 400 into their Destination 2012 section, which is supposed to be about the 2012 national elections. How does that decision line up with the Occupy Wall Street operatives and their constant claims that the movement is not political? Certain people are trying to give this “movement” validity by inserting it into a national politics section. Reuters goes out of it’s way to try to distance this weekend’s violence from the Occupy Wall Street mob several times in the above-linked article with the following tidbits: (emphasis added)
“The protests in most cities have been peaceful and sparked a national debate over how much of the country’s wealth is held by the richest 1 percent of the population. President Barack Obama has sought to capitalize on the attention by calling for higher taxes on the richest Americans.”
“Oakland Mayor Jean Quan accused a “violent splinter group” of the Occupy movement of fomenting the Saturday protests and using the city as its playground.” ( that would be the same Mayor who spoke at an Occupy Oakland Rally and largely refused to clamp down on these misfits, even when rampant drug abuse, rape, theft, and overall filthy conditions were being reported in these Occupy camps across America, and especially in Oakland)
“Crews cleaned up Oakland’s historic City Hall on Sunday from damage inflicted overnight during violent anti-Wall Street protests that resulted in about 400 arrests, marking one of the largest mass arrests since nationwide protests began last year.” (Notice the concentrated effort to not call these people who they really are, as in Occupy Wall Street protesters?)
The media is proven to be complicit in attempting to separate the Occupiers into two categories to nudge the public perception of just who these Occupiers really are. The thousands of violent acts, rapes, drug arrests, and massive reports of theft are all put into the “violent splinter group category” in order to protect the supposedly peaceful, fun-loving, innocent rest of the group. The Occupiers claim to represent 99% of Americans while the fact remains that the informed citizenry finds them repulsive and disgusting, as many surveys have reported. Politico shows us that, at one point, 37% of Americans viewed the OWS crowd favorably. That was the headline, by the way, while ignoring the other 63% of America that sees the OWS crowd for what it is: A bunch of nasty, defecating on police cars and urinating in the street, rabble-rousers, rapists, anarchists and low-life criminals who have no respect for the rest of society. Yet the media manipulators still paint them as some type of grassroots movement that is endeared by all of America, including Mr. Barack Hussein Obama.
Of course the media has to paint the OWS mob in an angelic light, as we see in this article that the Occupiers do, in fact, have the support of the DNC and Barack Obama. Just ask yourselves one question: When, if ever, have you heard President Obama, any Democrat, or anyone in their media-puppet stable denounce the OWS perpetrators for the numerous reports of rape, theft, and their overall disrespect for the rest of society? Just watch how the media downplays this weekend’s 400+ Occupy Wall Street arrests in Oakland, just like they downplayed the planned shutdown of many of America’s shipping ports back on Monday, Dec, 12th 2011. To note that after that action, Best Buy ended up with a shortage of electronics products that were ordered for Christmas. Coincidence? The public will never know, as the mainstream media largely refused to report on the mob action targeting the nation’s shipping ports 13 days before Christmas.
This latest Occupy Wall Street episode in Oakland actually started on Saturday, when the Occupiers tried to take over an empty downtown convention center to establish a new headquarters. The Occupiers don’t think they should have to pay for anything in life, they just take it. To prove this point, they hurled bottles, pipe bombs, smoke bombs, burning flares, and assorted improvised explosive devices at police who were stopping them from taking over a convention center on Saturday. The police also warned the Occupy Wall Street protesters that they would not tolerate the continued violence and overt lawlessness on Sunday. Occupy Wall Street chose to ignore the warning, thus over 400 of them were arrested.
Finally, after months of ignoring the Occupy Wall Street protesters in our nation’s capitol on orders from the administration of Barack Obama under the guise of free speech, the National Park Service will start enforcing the decades old ban on camping overnight in McPherson Square and Freedom Plaza on Monday at noon. We can look forward to more false-flag media stories about supposed police brutality and abuse tomorrow coming out of DC, as the pattern of Occupy Wall Street protesters baiting police officers with camera’s at the ready will be sure to continue.
Update: Watch the mob violence here.
The Occupy movement has one-upped its absurdity by attempting to build a house in a public square.
Metro police are disassembling a wooden structure that the Occupy protesters built off-site and brought to the park. The wooden frame consists of a roof and some wall framing that look to be a house in the initial build phases.
Police on horseback kept the protesters back while they tried to have it taken down, but squatters on the roof of the structure had prevented its removal until about 8pm with the last one was removed by police.
The building was reportedly built by a father-son architect team from Annapolis, MD. CDN is working to get the name of the company that built the structure.
White House spokesman Jay “The Carnival Barker” Carney announced that President Obama is aware of the recent raids on the [filthy, unsanitary, and lawless illegal squatters] Occupy protests across America in which the Occupiers are being evicted in droves from city parks/property, simply because the actual 99% of the people (taxpayers) who are paying for this mess have had enough. NYC mayor Bloomberg raided Zucotti park on Tuesday night at 1 am, kicked the protesters out and brought in dumpsters, fire-hoses, and thousands of gallons of disinfectant to clean the park up, after which he announced that the park would be kept sanitary for ALL the citizens of NYC, and there will be no more Occupy pajama parties there 24/7. Although Bloomberg’s sudden acknowledgment his duties as per of the rule of law in NYC came about some 2 months late, enabling this debacle to get way out of control, in the end he came to his senses, so to speak. ( with heavy prodding from fed-up NYC businesses, citizens, and Stock Exchange employees) Now that the head of the Occupy Wall Street snake has been cut off in Zucotti park, along with several other cities taking action to eradicate the plague know as OWS, surely the Occupy DC plague will no longer be allowed to break federal laws and camp out in our nation’s capitol right? Not quite. I now refer you to Barack Obama’s personal carnival barker’s statement yesterday:
“We would hope and want as these decisions are made that a balance is sought between a long tradition of freedom of assembly and freedom of speech in this country…and also the very important need to maintain law and order and health and safety standards,” Mr. Carney said. (emphasis mine and for a good reason)
When Mr. Carney expresses Obama’s desire to “maintain law and order and health and safety standards” in our nation’s capitol, we have to question just how building a structure and occupying Federal land in DC applies to that statement. The following DC occupancy laws certainly apply to anyone putting up a structure that people will “oocupy” or live in, not to mention trespassing/loitering laws concerning federal land. Before building any structure in DC you must obtain a Certificate of Occupancy:
The purpose of the Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) is to ensure that the use of a building, structure or land in the District of Columbia is compatible with the general intent of the Zoning Regulations and the provisions of the DC Building Codes. Consequently, no person can use a structure or land in the District of Columbia for any purpose other than a single-family dwelling until a Certificate of Occupancy has been issued for that structure. The fee is based on square-footage. No Occupy DC does not have a C of O., nor have they applied for one, therefore Barack Obama is condoning lawlessness in allowing the Occupiers to stay in DC. I supply the following photo from Occupy DC to make my point clear:
With the head of the OWS snake now cut off in NYC, the Occupy protests will be looking for a new center, or headquarters for their movement, and Barack Obama now wants to give them McPherson Square right in the heart of our nation’s capitol for it. It is simply unacceptable for the President of the United States to be promoting the breaking of laws in DC just to further his reelection campaign and to appease the far left radicals behind this astro-turf, anti-capitalist Occupy movement, period. What kind of a message will this send to tourists from other nations coming to visit our nation’s capitol? Considering the criminal element that has reared it’s ugly head within these camps, what happens when a foreign tourist is robbed, raped, or even worse yet, killed by one of the criminals lurking within the midst of the Occupy DC movement? What would happen if the Tea Party decided to camp in front of the Washington memorial for a few months? Why, they would be run out of DC faster than a bunch of chickens at a national fox convention.
Call your Representatives in Congress and demand the enforcement of the rule of law in our nation’s capitol. Evict the Occupy DC camps before it gets any further out of control. 2012 just can’t get here fast enough !
I have no idea why occupy protestors have found their approval ratings dropping with mainstream Americans. Maybe videos like this can shed light…
What do you guys think? Is this how a “protest” should be done? Is it ever okay to use kids as human barricades? And how many stories like this will it take before the mainstream media ends their romance with the “Occupy” movement? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
I know the title says the Occupy D.C. protestors “resorted to nursery rhymes”, but after watching these two videos, it might come off like I’ve given them too much credit. It’s just that I couldn’t fit “Protestors In D.C. Stand Around In An Unorganized Fashion And Continuously Shout The Same Five Words Over And Over Again” into the headline. So… “Resort To Nursery Rhymes” is the headline you got. Here it is. Check it out, check it outers.
By the way, that cluster (situation) in the videos above was taking place at the “Defending The American Dream Summit” in D.C. this weekend, a summit that just happens to be attended by members from this website. Hopefully they’ll update us on some of the “occupy” action before the weekend’s over. Until then, here’s a write up that CDN’s Brian Cook did on his experience there so far.
So what do you guys think? Did I give the protestors too much credit? (I sorta think I did…) Or do you think they were just a bunch of fine Americans, exercising their 1st Amendment rights, and I was too hard on them? Let us know in the comments below, or you can just stand in front of my house and yell the same five words over and over again. After all, it is a free country…
The Wall Street protesters are demanding jobs, not more big bank bailouts, as signs across America have shown us last weekend.
The Occupiers hate banks, they hate evil corporations and they hate the government manipulators in Congress. ( supposedly) I wonder how they feel about the creation of a brand new government bank created solely for the purpose of politicians stashing away billions of our tax dollars to use for Union payoffs and vote-buying to further empower themselves? Surely these protesters will speak up against another big corporate government bank stealing tax dollars for their own self-interests, while non-politically connected folks go without jobs, right? Well, it turns out that these protesters are made to look like simplistic hypocrites when we discover that they, and many of their sister protesters and allies are promoting the very creation of another evil bank, this one run by their government as nothing more than a giant slush fund for the current Liberal rulers in Congress and the White House. What is the name of this bank you ask? Who is creating this bank and how can they get away with it? Have these innocent grassroots protesters been duped ? I can answer all of those questions in one simple but true statement: The creation of this new bank is hidden in Barack Obama’s American Jobs Act. It is called, The American Infrastructure Financing Authority or AIFA. From bondbuyer.com we see the following explanation:
“The jobs bill would create the American Infrastructure Financing Authority as a wholly owned government corporation that would “provide direct loans and loan guarantees to facilitate investment in economically viable infrastructure projects of regional or national significance,” according to administration officials.” ( emphasis mine)
As we previously discovered that Congress has shown the pattern of illegally creating their own slush fund/loan sharking banks such as the FFB, it should be noted that nowhere in our Constitution is Congress given the authority to create any banks, or financing authorities. Keeping in mind that many of the Green Energy loans (think Solyndra) were given out by the above-mentioned illegal FFB as an underhanded way to avoid full inspection by Congress and avoid accountability to We the People, it boggles the mind to see the Wall Street occupiers and sister groups promoting Obama’s fake jobs bill with a new evil banking corporation created right in it. Low and behold, that proof can be found right here. The Communist Party USA, The AFL-CIO, Barack Obama’s moveon.org all support Obama’s jobs bill and the Occupy Wall Street protests. In the jobs bill is the creation of an evil corporate bank which is created solely to pay off the biggest Transportation Union in the country, the AFL-CIO. My what a coincidence!
The Occupiers would surely object to a President who wants to take billions of tax dollars to use as a political slush fund right? Has anyone yet to see any signs at the Occupy Park Benches Across America Union supported protests? How about the fact that the AFL-CIO big Union vote-buying machine is sleeping right next to them while also spending millions of Union dues dollars to promote Obama’s newest evil corporate bank? Will this new bank somehow translate into jobs for the supposed grassroots folks down at Wall Street, as Obama has them apparently duped into believing? The fact that Obama already took some $836 billion tax dollars in the Stimulus fraud and yet we still see unemployment at 9.1% somehow seems to escape the Occupiers. If not, they would have signs protesting the next half a billion dollars being stolen to pay back their protest-bed-pals at the AFL-CIO, while creating a new big corporate bank. The creation of the AIFA is a long-term planned theft of tax dollars to pay off Unions, as we see by the mandates for funding in it:
“The bank would be capitalized with a $10 billion congressional appropriation for its first two years. Loans would go to projects of at least $100 million, or **$25 million** in rural areas. The loan or loan guarantee could finance no more than 50% of the project’s cost. The base interest rate on a direct loan would be at least the rate on Treasury debt with a similar maturity.” ( emphasis mine)
First we see that $10 billion tax dollars will be ‘loaned out” in first two years. What about in the future? Is this a bottomless black money pit? Billions upon billions will continue to be shuffled into this new AIFA “bank” as we see from The Patriot Update:
In its first two years, AIFA would rake in $10 billion in congressional appropriations; $20 billion over the next seven years; and $50 billion per fiscal year after that. How would Obama ensure the loan review process is protected from special interest favor-trading and White House meddling? If the ongoing, half-billion-dollar stimulus-funded Solyndra solar company loan debacle is any indication, the answer is: not very well. (emphasis mine)
In case some of our readers are not familiar as to who exactly will “qualify” for all these new jobs that this “bank” will supposedly create, you need to read the new law created by the Obama administration that now mandates that every single federal construction contract over the above stated **$25 million tax dollars** MUST BE USE UNION LABOR. Didn’t know that fact? Then read this. The bottom line is that if the out of work Occupiers do not pay the Unions dues and become a member of their AFL-CIO- OWS-bedpals , they are locked out of even a chance to get a job from Obama’s jobs bill! How about it Occupiers?
Instead of chanting “Four more years!, maybe the Occupy protesters should draw up some signs stating that they are against Obama’s jobs bill which creates the big evil corporate bank AIFA, which is loaded with graft and billions of dollars for their new pal, Richard Trumka, the current head of the AFL-CIO. Until we see that, the “Occupy movement” is nothing more than a bunch of hypocritical nonsense that has been hijacked by the Obama2012 reelection campaign and his Union vote-buying pals. So, lets all head on up to our nation’s capitol and protest Obama’s jobs bill shall we?
It seems that I lean more and more on DJ Redman, whose CDN article sets the stage for the latest “occupation” by a rather small group of smelly Marxist anti-capitalists. Now the occupation has spread to Washington D.C., where some 150 to 200 anti-war protestors tried to occupy the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum to protest Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and drones like the one that killed Anwar al-Awlaki in Yemen on September 30, 2011. Many who tried to occupy the Air and Space Museum said they were inspired to come to Washington D.C. by the Occupy Wall Street movement that began last month in New York and has spread across the country.
Smithsonian spokesman John Gibbons said a group of anti-war demonstrators arrived at the Air and Space Museum about 3 p.m. and tried to enter. When a security guard stopped demonstrators from entering, saying they could not bring in signs, he was held by the demonstrators. A second guard who arrived used pepper spray on at least one person. The crowd soon dispersed, and the museum closed at about 3:15 p.m. The protesters reportedly pushed a guard up against a wall, prompting another guard to intervene with pepper spray.
David Swanson of Charlottesville, Va., said he was among dozens of people sickened by the pepper spray even though he was outside the building when the spraying began. Swanson said, “I began choking and vomiting and got a headache.” He said the protesters were not trying to close the museum, but to make a point about the use of deadly drones.
The anti-war protesters included people from the October, 2011, “Stop the Machine” group and Occupy D.C., an offshoot of the larger Occupy Wall Street movement in New York. “Along with the Occupy Wall Street movement, it represents an upswell of people taking to the street around the country to demand social and economic justice as well as an end to the immoral wars in Iraq and Afghanistan,” occupation organizers said in an e-mail.
