In the first place, George Zimmerman was told by the police that he didn’t need to follow Martin, just give them a description and be available for officers when they got there. I understand Zimmerman’s concern. When help is needed in seconds the police are often minutes, sometimes many minutes, away. Zimmerman stated he was afraid this unknown person would just disappear and the police would find nothing, take a report, and go back to what they had been doing. This happens all too often, especially in cities where police are often overwhelmed with work to do. I am not bashing police here, just making what I believe to be a fair observation. If Zimmerman had done as asked Trayvon Martin would be alive today.

On the other side of this coin are Trayvon Martin’s bad decisions. I imagined myself in this situation and asked myself, “What would I do?” if faced with being followed by an unknown person with unknown intentions. My first thought was not “to hide around the corner of a building and attack the follower when he rounded the corner”. My first thought was to get to where I was going as fast as possible. If I was not able to accomplish that before being overtaken the next choice is to find a suitable place to hide and dial 911 for help. Under no circumstances would I go on the offensive when an unknown person, who could be armed, was following me and I had no idea why. Martin’s actions were ill-advised at best, and stupid at the worst. Martin had a cell phone. Why wasn’t he calling 911 to report he was being followed by a possible assailant instead of talking to his girlfriend?

The combination of bad decisions by both of these men resulted in an unnecessary death. I understand the hurt of the parents; I know the pain of losing a son too early in life. This was a totally senseless situation brought on by bad decisions on both sides of the coin. Enough said about this, now on to the larger tragedy here.

As soon as reports of this tragedy came out, Al Sharpton, smelling a profit, crawled out from under his rock to do his usual stirring up of racial hatred before knowing any facts in the incident. George Zimmerman sounds like as white a name as I have ever heard but is he? Well, partly. It seems, now that we have more information, that he is a multi-racial Hispanic. But this information doesn’t really matter to me, as it doesn’t matter to the race baiters. The “it doesn’t matter”, however, comes for different reasons.

Race isn’t an issue to those of us who see other Americans as Americans instead of seeing race as does Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Spike Lee, the Black Panthers, and other race baiting hate mongers. We now have the Black Panthers offering a $1 million reward for Zimmerman’s head. Isn’t solicitation to commit murder a crime in America? Spike Lee has tweeted Zimmerman’s address. If Zimmerman is assaulted will Eric Holder’s “Justice Department” charge the Black Panthers and Lee as an accomplice or accessory to an assault or murder? Not likely!!!

I wonder where all of these “concerned citizens” were last week when a 90 year old white man and his 85 year old white wife were attacked in their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma by a young black man and unknown accomplices. The woman (again, 85 years old) was raped and beaten to death. The man is clinging to life in ICU at last reports. Where are the $1 million dollar offers from the Black Panthers? Where is Al Sharpton and his megaphone? Where is Jesse Jackson to offer financial help to the family of this couple as he did in the Duke Lacrosse case? Where is Spike Lee to tweet this animal’s home address for the angry mobs to go kill him? Where is Barack Obama and his condemnation of black violence against whites? Remember Eric Holder saying black on white violence would not be investigated by the same “Justice Department” who is jumping through hoops to convict Zimmerman before the sun rises tomorrow?

Last week I read a story from Chicago about a 6 year old boy killed as a result of gang violence, and a 1 year old clinging to life by a thread from the same shooting. This was black gang members trying to kill a rival, but killing babies instead. Where are the Black Panthers? Where is Al Sharpton? Where is Jesse Jackson? Where is the $1 million reward for the heads of those who hurt these innocent children in an indiscriminate shooting? Where is Spike Lee and his Twitter account when needed?

Several years ago we had the Tawana Brawley incident. She reported that white men raped her, smeared feces on her, and repeatedly called her “nigger”. After Al Sharpie crawled out from under his rock to drum up money for himself he found out it was all a lie. Did he apologize? Did he give the money back? No, he just stirred up unnecessary racial hatred, raked in his millions, and crawled back under his rock until the next opportunity arose.

Remember the Duke Lacrosse case a few years ago? A black prostitute claimed she was raped, beaten, and called “nigger” by white members of the Duke Lacrosse team. Along came Jesse and Al to the rescue. As it turned out, after the flames of racial hatred had been fanned to a roar, the entire story was found to be a huge lie. Even the District Attorney in the case did everything he could to profit politically, from a case he knew was a lie. Once again, Jesse and Al raked in their millions and crawled back under their rocks to await the next incident they could use to fan racial hatred and make a few million dollars for themselves.

And once again Barack Obama, the Usurper in Chief, has jumped into the fray to stir up racial hatred and try to gain some votes without knowing the facts. Remember the famous “beer summit” that resulted when the cop wanted to know why the college professor, who was reported by neighbors to be breaking into a house, was there? It turned out the house belonged to the professor and he had lost his key or left it somewhere. All the policeman did was his job, but he was turned into a monster by the same race baiting hate mongers we have seen so many times before. What if that had been a mugger breaking into the house of an elderly woman with no protection other than that policeman? Oh well, the white guy has to be wrong regardless of the facts. And the racism is where?

Obama was to be the first “post-racial” president, but alas, that hasn’t happened. Racial polarization is worse than it has been since the 1960’s. White people voted in droves for a black man, or half black, to prove they weren’t racists. Instead of pointing out the fact that white voters seem to be over racism he makes racial strife the keynote part of his agenda. Instead of taking the moral high ground and urging people to look at this as a tragedy that resulted from a set of preventable circumstances on both sides, he jumps in with both feet to help Al Sharpie & Company fan the flames of racial hatred. Obama has shown himself to be as racist and as much of a hate monger as the “Justice Brothers”.

All of these men call me a racist and a hate monger because I am white and believe in finding the facts first. You were able to see my view on this at the beginning of this article. What is the difference between my approach and that of the blacks who are raising so much hell about this Florida shooting? Am I or other white people out in the media calling for riots over the attack, rape, and murder of that elderly white woman by a young black man in Oklahoma? No, of course not. That would be an asinine and wrong stand to take. If I offered $1 million for his head would that be racist?

Racism is alive and well in America but it isn’t the whites who are stoking the fires of racism, or even committing racist acts. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee, Spike Lee, Louis Farrakhan and other liberals can’t open their mouths without fanning the fires of racism, and doing it to make a profit for themselves. They don’t care about the black community. These people only care about the money they make off of racial hatred.

The fact that Barack Obama does the same thing on a regular basis (African-Americans for Obama campaign ads, for instance) is not only an act of racism against We the People, it is detrimental to our nation. It is even more detrimental to members of the black community. Blacks are being used by profiteers. This kind of rhetoric is not conducive to a harmonious future in America. The divide and conquer tactics of these people are intended to enslave all ethnic groups, black, white, Hispanic, Asian, etc. equally.

The only way to overcome the tactics of division are for We the People to unite in rejecting those who divide us. God made all of us and all of us need to come together against the strife spread by the agents of Satan. We can come together, One Nation Under God, or we will live as one nation under tyrants. The choice is ours. As for me and my house, we choose One Nation Under God. My heart goes out to both families in this tragedy. Let’s not waste our time ripping each other apart for no good reason. Let’s unite, under GOD, against those who use tragedies like this one for profit and to divide a nation unnecessarily.

 Michelle Malkin summed this debacle up as follows, back in April of 2011:

Last summer,(2010) the House Ethics Committee charged the entrenched California congresswoman with three violations related to her wheeling and dealing on behalf of minority-owned OneUnited Bank in Los Angeles. The panel accused Waters of bringing discredit to the House for using her influence to seek and secure taxpayer-subsidized special favors for the failing financial institution.

Eight months have passed since the House ethics panel charged Waters. But to date, there has been no action. No trial. No consequences.

On Jan. 13, 2009, Brookly McLaughlin, then-Treasury Department deputy assistant secretary for public affairs, e-mailed her shock at Waters’ apparent conflict of interest regarding OneUnited: “Further to email below, WSJ (Wall Street Journal) tells me: …Apparently this bank is the only one that has gotten money through section 103-6 of the EESA law. And Maxine Waters’ husband is on the board of the bank. ??????” (emphasis added)

When all of this information came to light, House Democrats scrambled to snuff out the investigation by any means possible, including firing the two lead attorneys working on the Waters investigation.  Thus, an independent attorney was hired to sort out this mess, and yet we see some of the same type of denial in holding the people who perpetuated this farce of  a cover-up originally, continuing.  Witness the recent statements in regards to this investigation and the six committee members who recused themselves, yet refused to admit their part in this charade of injustice:

1- Current Ethics Committee Chairman Joe Bonner sends a letter to Speaker Boehner announcing that 6 members are recusing themselves. ( and jumping off the sinking ship to avoid being held accountable) In that letter, Bonner goes out of his way to say no one did anything wrong. “The record should note that these recusal requests are not based on any indication of wrongdoing or inappropriate partisanship by the Members,” Bonner’s letter stated. If there was no wrongdoing, then these six members should simply be fired for refusing to do their jobs on the Ethics Committee.

2- Martin told the committee that he reviewed “tens of thousands of pages” of documents and interviewed current and former committee members and staffers, but one necessary witness who is not currently with the committee refused to testify when subpoenaed and it has prevented the completion of the due process review.

3- “While Mr. Martin had advised that the most appropriate time to present his recommendations regarding recusal would be upon the completion of the due process review, he has now counseled the Committee to advance that timing,” Bonner’s letter said.

So what happened the very day after this letter was delivered to House leadership in which lead counsel is now advising the Ethics Committee to get this trail started?  Maxine Waters was caught on video tape, having a major meltdown, and calling House Republicans ‘Demons” and making other hateful comments about them. This is what happens when self-serving members of Congress are told that they will be held accountable (finally after almost 2 long years of  the disgusting Democratic party’s obstruction of justice)

Yes America, there was a reason for Maxine Water’s most recent meltdown. She refuses to accept the fact that she will be held accountable for her obvious TARP fraud in securing money for a bank that her husband had investments in, and on which he sat on the board of directors. If any of your representatives are on the Ethics-less committee, call them up and demand real justice, not the slap on the wrist that career income tax dodger Charlie Rangel got for his proven felony income tax evasion. As for the six Ethics Committee members who have now recused themselves, including Chairman Bonner, and whom are refusing to take responsibility for their parts in this debacle?  Fire them all! Kick them off of the “Ethics Committee” for proving to have a complete lack of anything resembling true ethics. It is time to end this charade once and for all.

Number 10 on the oxymoron list comes to us via the group of 2012 GOP Presidential candidates, in the form of Rick Santorum. While Santorum is mainly running on the platform of being the non-Romney conservative alternative, an oxymoron has been used to better describe Mr. Santorum’s Senatorial voting record and when we look at that record, Mr. Santorum qualifies for the Number 10 oxymoron of the day: A Big Government Conservative.

Number 9 - Small Government Liberalism. This oxymoron is so outrageous that it surely sits right next to the “wise fool” oxymoron on the list of most contradictory statements ever written. Yet in California, ( the most Liberal state in the country) we see that a Mr. Matt Rozee  actually tries to pass himself off as a small government Liberal when running for Congress. He also claims to be an Executive Director at Fox in his bio. That should make those folks that criticize Fox News for appearing to veer left recently feel pretty good.

Number 8 - The Public Option becomes a ludicrous example of an oxymoron, when it is being used to promote the Liberal health-care “reforms” that basically forces everyone into a government-run health-care system where the only option people end up with is the government plan, simply because the government has put all the other health insurance companies out of business. A great example of another supposed “public option” is the option to pay taxes to support our current big government debt-spenders. The phrase, “no taxation without representation” comes to mind here.  In that case you have the option to pay your taxes and shut up.. or go to prison. Unless you are a member of Congress of course, such as Claire McCaskell (D-MO), Charlie Rangel (D-NY), or current Treasury Chief Timothy Geitner. We can now add Government Motors to the list of big government tyrants and crony-capitalists who do not have to pay taxes like the rest of America.

Number 7 -  Bureaucratic efficiency. This oxymoron is self-explanatory and would seem to be some kind of joke, if this country wasn’t $16 trillion dollars in debt and headed straight off the Greek-style debt cliff, like the plunge the once-great city of Detroit is currently undertaking. When it comes to big government  bureaucratic efficiency, today’s United States Post Office  serves up a heaping helping of reality as to how efficient a once-proud and stable organization becomes when the big government meddlers of Congress get involved.

Number 6 – Tolerant Liberal  becomes a great example of an oxymoron when we see this video of Rep Maxine Waters most recent expose’ of Congressional hate-speech and partisanship.

Number 5 - Secret Government Talks becomes an oxymoron when big government media manipulators use it to announce the secret meetings to the entire world, as we see in the article, ridiculously titled,  Afghanistan and US in secret talks with Taliban.  Everything qualifies as a big government secret that needs to be kept from the American taxpayers today, when we look at the recent refusal of the Obama administration to allow White House officials to  appear before Congress to explain how half a billion dollars were given to the bankrupt green energy  firm Solyndra.

Number 4 –  President Obama’s numerous campaign statements that he is working to reduce deficits and debt is a form of an oxymoron that is so far out of touch with reality that it is hard to understand just how he expects the American people to believe it. For the perfect example of this, please President Obama’s Budget Buffoonery. In that article, it shows how Obama’s latest budget proposal adds trillions of dollars of debt, and makes zero cuts to big government spending, all contrary to his thousands of recent [taxpayer-funded] campaign speeches about the need to cut the deficits and lower the national debt. Barack Obma has in fact piled more debt onto the backs of future generations of Americans in 3 1/2 years than G.W. Bush did in 8 full years in office. Obama’s debt chart can be seen in this article. Obama has piled on record debt in 3 straight years,’09, ’10, and ’11 and the 2012 deficit is now projected to once again be a whopping 1.32 trillion, and which the White House underestimated by 138%! Some folks could confuse Obama’s oxymoron about cutting deficits and debt with a blatant lie, designed to win reelection and hide his Liberal debt-spending of the past 3 1/2 years.

Number 3 – Accidentally on Purpose is a good example of an oxymoron that is mainly used as a form of sarcasm today. When looking at the debt-spending of Obama in number 4 above, while claiming that he is “reducing deficits and debt” a lot of Americans have now come to the conclusion that Obama is bankrupting America accidentally on purpose.

How about he above mentioned far left radical extremist and hate-speech generator, Maxine Waters (D-CA) who lobbied the White House for TARP money for her husbands bank illegally? When it comes to Congressional Ethics, the completely discredited former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi and her profiting from insider trading certainly ranks among the top ten in hypocritical hyperbole when it comes to congressional ethics.

His mother is Caucasian and therefore Obama is technically the first “half-black” President.  The first Fully-black President is yet to be elected.  So, by definition, those who oppose Obama can only be “half-racist”.

Let’s apply this on a larger scale.  Up until the 2008 election, according to the logic (or lack thereof) supplied by the race baiters, everyone who ever voted in a presidential election from 1789 on would have to be classified as racist, for they did not vote for the black candidate.  Of course, most would raise the fact that up until 2008, no minority (or half-minority) candidate had ever been selected as a nominee of a major political party, but why let pesky things like facts get in our way now?  Every Democrat who voted in the 1988 presidential primaries, and did not vote for Jesse Jackson must have been a racist.  For that matter, those who voted for Michael Dukakis in the general election should also be considered residual racists.  All Kerry supporters in 2004 are also guilty of racism – they didn’t vote for Al Sharpton.

It could even be said that supporters of Barack Obama’s campaign in 2008 are at least half-racist themselves.  You see, when given a choice between Obama and the fully black Cynthia McKinney, who was the Green Party nominee in ’08, they went with the half-white guy.

Rush Limbaugh has a phrase – demonstrate absurdity by being absurd.  For those who have had their funny bones surgically removed (I like to call them Liberals), you may need to look up the meaning of a joke – a story with a humorous climax. Reading an article like this might make a sane person exclaim, “half-this, half-that?  What’s the difference??!!” – EXACTLY!!

I am not considered to be a minority by conventional means, but I can imagine that those who TRULY had to endure discrimination and condescension based on the melanin content of their skin would be pretty upset when charges of racism are thrown around in such a cavalier manner.  It desecrates their sacrifices and it minimizes their struggles.  And… it’s just flat down untrue.

A wise man once said that he had a dream that, “my grandchildren will be judged not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”  Electing a man of color was indeed a significant step for America, but that wise man’s dream will not come to pass until we elect someone President for one reason and one reason only – they are the best candidate for the job.

It was just seven months ago, at the memorial service for those killed in the Arizona shooting where Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot, that President Obama called for the nation to commit to more civility in interacting among with each other. One of the greatest moments for the entire nation that evening was when he gave us the good news that “Gabby opened her eyes for the first time” that evening while he was visiting her.

It was a moment of hope during a national tragedy marked by accusations from the liberals that the Tea Party had caused this attack.  Not long after his “emotionally charged” speech honoring the victims in the senseless shooting in Arizona, it was determined that the shooter had absolutely no ties to the Tea Party movement at all. In fact, he was not a politically involved person at all, but seemed instead to have a personal vendetta against Congresswoman Giffords that stemmed from an earlier meeting between them.

Seven months later, and thankfully, Congresswoman Giffords is making remarkable progress. She’s even made the historic return to Congress to cast her vote for the debt ceiling increase. Whether you agree with her vote or not, the mere fact that she was there and able to vote was truly cause for celebration.

With the celebrating over, a question must be asked.  Does Congresswoman Giffords’ return to Congress signal the end of the president’s call to the nation for civility?

In looking at recent events it most certainly appears that the gloves have come off. Once again, the Tea Party is being accused of things that are completely false. Pulling their favorite tempter-tantrum tactic, liberals have pulled the ever-popular race card to go along with these accusations.

Here are a few examples:

• Maxine Waters says the Tea Party can “go straight to hell”  Now, down here in these parts, them are fightin’ words if I ever heard ‘em!
• Florida Rep. Frederica Wilson blames black unemployment on racism
• Indiana Democratic Senator Andre Carson accuses the Tea Party of being a lynch mob who wants to hang blacks from trees
• California Rep. Karen Bass blames the media for the terrorist comments made by Senator Carson

The next baseless accusation can be seen here where Nancy Pelosi babbles on and on incoherently about the rich not paying taxes because they want to be immortal, how Republicans hate kids and keep wages low so they can force people to pay bank fees.

In all actuality, this last example may not be a good one to use in the argument questioning whether or not the call for civility has ended. In this case, it should be senility that is called into question rather than civility. But that’s an entirely different argument altogether!

Not surprisingly, President Obama has been strangely quiet during this barrage of accusations from those in his own party. This is just another example of his empty words ringing so loud with hypocrisy. Maybe he should take lessons from a real leader : Florida  Rep. Allen West, who calls it what it is!

Don’t laugh, I’m serious. Barry and the Banking Queen, Barney Frank, have been squirreled away for weeks now with a laser-like focus on jobs. They’re being proactive. They’re thinking strategically. They’re thinking outside the bun! The danger, of course, is that given his track record, Barney Frank will be tempted to lead from behind. Poor Barney Frank, he’s in over his head. Oh, in the interest of full disclosure I must reveal that this opinion piece has been paid for by the Committee to Erect Anthony Weiner. Sheesh, I heard it through the grapevine that Barney Frank has a staff infection. (I really kill me sometimes!) Sorry, I got off topic there for a bit. Back to more serious news. Anthony Weiner: Wasn’t he the subject of what we were talking about somewhere in the middle of this run-on paragraph? Yes, he was! And the latest news about Weiner is that he is made from one-hundred percent pulled pork! What’s the point? Oh yeah, paragraphs are supposed to have a topic sentence and everything else in the paragraph is supposed to support that topic sentence, right? Well, there’s not much I can do about the sentences I’ve already penned but I’ll get back on topic with the concluding sentence in this grammatical nightmare (Sorry about the dangling participle there, Weiner). Here goes nothing. Barack Obama has the brain of a turkey and I’ll bet the turkey was glad to be rid of it.

The Democrats 2012 campaign strategy: If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with Barack. It has been quite enlightening for those of us who are conservatives to learn about ATM economics. What an education! Oh, the soaring rhetoric that spills from the lips of the Chicago Messiah whenever he speaks about those evil ATMs. But let us cut to the chase about Automatic Teller Machines. Obama’s real problem is that the ATM does not give out money based on a worker’s need and thus is an instrument of oppression. It isn’t like Obama can’t solve this ATM tragedy if he really wants to. Laws that liberals don’t like aren’t really laws, they’re just worded wrong. So Obama can just ignore banking laws in the same manner he ignores court decisions about the unconstitutionality of ObamaCare. He can simply do whatever he wants while we, the great masses of the unwashed, just keep wasting away again down in Obamaville. With fiends like Obama who needs an enema?

Sorry for this disjointed piece of prose. But, you know, you have to be real and these thoughts just keep tumbling out of my brain. It’s a matter of medical health for me. You see, if I don’t write these things down as they spill out of my cranium I end up feeling repressed. And you don’t want a repressed penguin on the loose, do you? So, here is the disjointed thought for this paragraph. The thought I am about to express had its origin in the second paragraph when I brought up the subject of Massachusetts. It sort of wiggled its way out of my frontal lobe and morphed into what you are about to read. Okay, here it is, brain dump time… Gee, someone cheated on a Kennedy…isn’t it usually the other way around? (Sorry, Arnold)

That last paragraph really moved me. Speaking of earthquakes, I hope future quakes create more land. Maybe, just maybe, a new “America” will form and we can have New New York!

Let us conclude with Obama’s job performance, or lack thereof, which is the underlying cause of the hurricane heading straight for a polling booth near you. You need a job and Barry’s just been busy winning the ‘Arab Spring’, one lobster at a time. You want secure borders but are left wondering if man evolved from apes then how do you explain Janet Napolitano? China has a one child policy and we have a one Biden policy. We’re told to watch what we eat while The First Lardass of the United States is swigging premium vodka, devouring lobster, and getting luxurious massages all on our dime. And don’t even get me started on her personal jet for the trip to Martha’s Vineyard. But (butt?) I will excuse that indiscretion this one time because I’m sure the Air Force has weight load limitations on those puny 747s they call Air Force One.

Between campaign appearances, there is no Barack Obama. Barack Obama, the man of a thousand excuses. So, Mister O’Wonderful, is it true that the people who live there on the island can get jobs as instructors at the Kennedy Community Diving and Swim Center in Chappaquiddick?

And lest you think it is just conservatives that are sick of Barry, today’s news is that Richard Trumpka of AFL-CIO fame is threatening to withdraw union funding from the Democrats. See what happens when you do not vet your candidate, Kool-Aid drinker? Obama is going to plead with Trumpka, arguing that he inherited a mess. But the fact is that he begged for the job knowing that fact. Is he insane? Yes.

But, enough about Barry; next time we will discuss the other half of the Lobster Twins. We’ll all learn why Michelle is a perfect example of taxidermy gone wrong. Stuff it, Barry. Stuff it, Michelle. Stuff it, Joe Biden. Stuff it, Debbie Downer. And, “You first,” Maxine Waters.

Perhaps, now that the Libya conflict is winding down Barry will decide to attack Norway. Forget it, Barry. We can’t afjoird it!

“I’m not afraid of anybody,” Maxine Waters told constituents in Los Angeles, not backing down from comments made about President Obama earlier in the week. “This is a tough game. You can’t be intimidated. You can’t be frightened. And as far as I’m concerned – the tea party can go straight to hell.” So much for civility in politics, for which Obama has called.

Speaking at the Congressional Black Caucus Jobs Initiative in Detroit, Waters criticized Obama for spending too much time in white rural communities and not focusing enough on the black urban neighborhoods where the unemployment rate is about 16%. “Our people are hurting,” said Waters. “The unemployment is unconscionable; we don’t know what the strategy is. We don’t know why on this trip that he’s in the United States, not in any black communities, we don’t know that.” Speaking at a job fair in Atlanta on Thursday, Waters says the president needs to bring his bus tour to the black communities as well as the rural communities, and that he needs to step in and take action to reverse the economic slide. “We want him to use that bully pulpit to get those banks in there who have profits that they are holding onto, and lend that money in our communities, to our small businesses that create jobs,” said Waters. She continued that there was rising unhappiness among African Americans with Obama. “There is a growing frustration in this country and in minority communities because the unemployment rates are so high.” “The president is going to have to fight and he is going to have to fight hard,” Waters said. She continued, “We didn’t raise any revenue and they didn’t close any tax loopholes. I believe the Democratic Party and the president of the United States should not have backed down. We should have made them walk the plank.” Waters also expressed frustration with the nation’s high unemployment rate, and she pointed out that Obama did not visit any African American communities during his recent three-day Midwest tour to highlight economic issues.

Speaking at Wayne State Community College in Detroit, Rep. Maxine Waters, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, says the group is “getting tired” of making excuses for President Barack Obama. Said Waters, “Let me tell you why. We don’t put pressure on the president because ya’ll love the president. You love the president. You’re very proud to have a black man – first time in the history of the United States of America. If we go after the president too hard, you’re going after us.” “The Congressional Black Caucus loves the president too. We’re supportive of the president, but we’re getting tired, ya’ll. We’re getting tired. And so, what we want to do is, we want to give the president every opportunity to show what he can do and what he’s prepared to lead on. We want to give him every opportunity, but our people are hurting. The unemployment is unconscionable. We don’t know what the strategy is. We don’t know why on this trip that he’s in the United States now, he’s not in any black community. We don’t know that.” “All I’m saying to you is, we’re politicians. We’re elected officials. We are trying to do the right thing and the best thing. When you let us know it is time to let go, we’ll let go.”

From Rich Mitchell at CDN, we have another quote from Waters: “Yesterday, another liberal congressional Representative, Maxine Waters (D-CA) stated that she wanted to see health care reform critics investigated. She used terms like “Tea Bagger” and “Birther” to lump all of Obama’s critics together using belittling terms.”

Congressional Investigation

Maxine Waters “has been under investigation by the House Ethics Committee for allegations that she helped steer government money to a bank in which her husband owned shares.” Waters is being charged with helping to steer more than $12 million in federal bailout funds to OneUnited, a bank in which her husband is an officer and in which he has a substantial interest.

Waters was supposed to have faced trial for ethics violations last year (2010), but the trial was suddenly delayed until after the November 2010 election. She is seeking to have the case dismissed and is threatening legal action against the committee as well. Waters is calling for the House Ethics Committee to dismiss the long-running case against her, claiming she can’t get fair treatment from the secretive panel in the wake of allegations that staffers improperly shared information in an investigation into her finances.

When Democrats controlled the House of Representatives, House Ethics Committee Chairman Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) started meddling in the Waters investigation process. Not only did Lofgren fail to issue subpoenas for records related to the scandal, but she also delayed the ethics committee hearing after doing everything in her power to undermine the professional committee staff leading the investigation. And, as if that were not enough, Lofgren then improperly fired two attorneys working on the investigation. Blake Chisam, the former staff director of the House Ethics Committee accused two top committee lawyers last year of secretly communicating with Republicans on the panel regarding the investigations of Democratic Reps. Maxine Waters and Charles Rangel. Chisam wrote in a memo to then-chairwoman Zoe Lofgren that attorneys Morgan Kim and Stacy Sovereign improperly shared information in the Rangel case with Republicans on the committee – a move that “would have so tainted the proceedings that there would have been no option but to move to dismiss.” The Ethics Committee places strict limits on the sharing of evidence during “trials” for lawmakers; committee members act as prosecutors and lawmakers play the role of a jury.

The seemingly endless ethics investigation of Waters may finally be heading to an end. The House Ethics Committee has commissioned an outside lawyer to examine the conduct of committee staffers who allegedly violated her rights by leaking investigative information to a Republican committee member. (Can anyone say, “Delay Tactic?”) From Daniel at CDN, we learn, “While it is quite obvious that our government’s legislative bodies need rules and regulations under which to operate, the House Ethics Committee of today seems to be lacking … ethics.” He references an article in The Hill, which says, “The leading Republican and Democrat on the House ethics committee are debating whether to hire outside counsel to handle the investigation of Rep. Maxine Waters.”

Citing “gross misconduct,” the lawyer representing Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters is asking the House Ethics Committee to dismiss all charges against his client. “Based on the facts of the case and the record of committee misconduct, the only remedy that vindicates the principals of the quasi-judicial functions of the committee is immediate dismissal with prejudice. No other remedy exists to cure this misconduct,” Stanley Brand, Waters’ attorney wrote.

Ethically Challenged?

In July, 2010, Rep. Maxine Waters was accused of violating three House of Representatives rules – one that requires its members to “behave at all times in a manner that shall reflect creditably on the House,” a second that prohibits lawmakers from using their influence for personal benefit, and a third forbidding the dispensing of favors. On the “dispensing of favors” charge, Waters’ chief of staff, Mikael Moore, her grandson, worked to help OneUnited Bank, even as Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, urged Waters to “stay out of it” because of her husband’s ties to the bank. OneUnited received $12 million in federal bailout funds in December 2008. Waters’ husband, Sidney Williams, served on the OneUnited board, and stock in the bank when Waters set up a September 2008 meeting between Treasury Department officials and representatives of minority-owned banks.

On August 13, 2010, Rep. Maxine Waters blamed the Bush administration for her ethics problems. “The question at this point should not be why I called Secretary Paulson, but why I had to,” she said. “The question at this point should be why a trade association representing over 100 minority banks could not get a meeting at the height of the crisis.” But the House ethics committee says in its report of charges that when the meeting was held, the officers of only one bank came – OneUnited.

The chief of staff and press secretary to Rep. Maxine Waters is Mikael Moore, her grandson. Call it nepotism if you will, but according to House rules, while members are forbidden from hiring their children, there is no rule against grandchildren.

So?

So now, how much longer are Los Angeles voters going to reelect her? How much longer is this embarrassment, this ethically challenged person, this nepotism practicer, this TARP Fund grabber, this Congressional joke, the loud mouth, this racist, going to be in the House of Representatives? But the Ethics Committee is not a court of law, so she has not “had her day in court” and we must presume her innocent until proven guilty. Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure!

But that’s just my opinion.

While the sex scandals and criminal activities are pretty common across both party lines today, the audacity of  today’s Liberals knows no boundaries.  From Charlie “the tax cheat,” Rangel, to Maxine Waters, to the felonious corrupto-crats from within the Democratic party down here in Florida, Corrine Brown and Alcee Hastings, these Liberal elitists never seem to be held accountable for their criminal actions. Click on those two links there, and you will see just what outrageous activity those two Florida politicians have gotten away with. Oh and they are still in our Congress today!

Cyber-sex panderer Anthony Weiner thought he could stay in Congress simply by refusing to resign. I really can’t blame him for thinking he could just sweep his actions under the rug, when we look at all the above criminals that are still serving in our Congress and haven’t recieved one bit of real punishment for their criminal activities. How about Maxine Waters Mr Speaker? You are now in charge of the House and there is NO EXCUSE for not bringing that swamp creature up on charges in the House Ethics committee right now! As far as the uninformed voters from Hasting’s and Brown’s areas of Florida, there are no words to describe the pathetic pattern of voting for those two criminals you folks have shown in Florida!

As another Liberal hypocrite and ex-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi once said, it truly is time to drain the swamp called Congress in 2012! the least Americans can do is start with the criminals who think they are above the law! The Weiner is gone, along with his big-mouth self-righteous, pompous rhetoric, and I for one, am damned glad to see him go!  Good frigging riddance!

The House Ethics Committee is officially known as the Committee On Standards Of Official Conduct. I wonder how many people actually know this, and really understand what that title is supposed to mean. While it is quite obvious that our government’s legislative bodies need rules and regulations under which to operate, the House Ethics Committee of today seems to be lacking … ethics.

That is not a statement I make lightly, or without some serious research to back it up.

Here we have a governing body put in charge of what I view as being similar to our military’s Code of Conduct in our House of Representatives. This committee investigates House officials, members, or employees when allegations or evidence of criminal or unethical actions surfaces. What I do find unethical here, is the fact that career politicians are serving on this powerful committee that is put in charge of deciding which career politicians to investigate, just how that investigation is carried out, and what “punishment” they recommend. This breeds partisanship right from the start, not to mention the fact that they have given themselves the power to squash any calls for investigations of corrupt politicians they so choose. How many times have we heard the chairmen of this committee announce that they have “reviewed” the allegations of misconduct, and find no wrongdoing ? Somehow I get the strong feeling that if it was the taxpayer doing the investigating instead of political cronies, the outcomes of these investigations would be quite different. For people who want us to believe that our elected officials are held to a higher standard of ethics when conducting the people’s business, these same people sure are quick in setting those standards lower when investigating their party pals or political cronies.

The list of examples that show a lack of true ethical behavior within the House Ethics Committee is longer than I could ever hope to include in this article. The Charlie Rangel debacle is the most recent one. Found guilty of 11 ethic violations, Charlie was “sentenced” to Censure by the House. This elected official, this trusted guardian of the taxpayer’s dollars, neglected to pay income taxes for several years, along with several other episodes of malfeasance and misconduct. Mr Rangel was also the Chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee. Was he expelled from Congress? No. Did he do any jail time? No. Did he pay any fines? Not proven to us, but they did decide to actually make him pay the back taxes at some point. When we talk about ethics, we must ask ourselves why is he still a member of the people’s trusted Congress? Do not lecture we the people, on ethics and standards of conduct while Charlie Rangel is still a member of Congress, thank you.

Fast forward to this week, and my inspiration for writing this article. At TheHill.com, I ran into an article, “Ethics Committee debates hiring outside counsel for Waters investigation.”, written by Susan Crabtree that provides some good insight into this situation.

Chairman Jo Bonner- (R- Ala) apparently wants to have the ethics committee continue with the Waters investigation, (which is the Committee’s supposed main reason for existence) while Ex-Chairman Zoe Lofgren, (D-Calif) wants an outside Legal firm to handle it. First of all, since we the people demand cutting spending in Congress, I say no to the added expense of hiring someone else to do their job here. This always seems to be the solution in Congress these days, throw more tax dollars at the problem while shirking your own responsibilities and duties. No excuses please.
Secondly, if Lofgren feels there is too much partisanship and bickering within this committee for them to do their job, maybe it’s high time we replace any members who are obstructing this investigation, or do away with the committee completely? It isn’t difficult to see what is happening here. Last November, Lofgren wanted to fire the lead lawyer on the case, and he is now on administrative leave indefinitely, which also conveniently gives Lofgren an excuse for hiring an outside law firm. Bonner accused Lofgren of playing politics with the ethics process, as to her many apparent decisions to delay the trial. On and on with the childish infighting and partisanship, to the point that this investigation has ground to a halt once again.

If this was in the real world, instead of Congress, the whole committee would be fired for this type of nonsense. Millions of taxpayer dollars have already been spent on this debacle and what have we got to show for it? Nothing! No progress, no trial, no justice, nothing. This committee appears to be at a stalemate, the cause of which lies solely within the committee itself. We had the GOP take the majority in the house in 2010. Changes were supposedly coming. So what do the geniuses in our House of Representatives do to start the 112th Congress as far as the Ethics committee goes? They install the same incompetent, childish, partisan members responsible for this Waters debacle, right back onto the Ethics Committee! (Lofgren and Bonner ) Once again, the people who have proven to be the most incompetent, ineffective elected officials to serve on this committee, are put right back into a position to continue this malfeasance masquerading as an Ethics Committee !

When discussing Ethics within our Congress, Maxine Waters’ hiring practices come into also question. Meet her Chief of Staff, Mikael Moore – who also happens to be Maxine Waters Grandson. Is nepotism allowed when it comes to hiring people to work in Congress on the taxpayers dime ? Well it is supposedly against the rules when it comes to hiring spouses and siblings, yet hiring grandchildren isn’t defined under nepotism rules? Maybe Lofgren and Waters could get together and explain that one to the people? Which brings us to one last observation about our House Ethics Committee.

When reading the Rules of The Committee on Standards of Official Conduct at ethics.house.gov, we see that they have posted the rules and amendments for the 111th Congress.***
Take note that these rules were adopted on February 10th 2009, and then Amended on June 9th of 2009. They created a new set of rules, then had to change them again 4 months later. Who oversees these rule changes? Surely, it couldn’t be the very same people on this committee that have delayed and bungled the Waters investigation, possibly beyond repair? Zoe Lofgren, the Chair of this circus has now been reported to tell Minority leader Nancy Pelosi that she is too “burned out” to continue in her position as Vice-Chair of the Ethics Committee due to partisan bickering. That equates to the Ringleader of the Circus, blaming the Elephants for the closing of the show after she has almost single- handedly burned down the entire tent. Ethics? What Ethics?

It never would have starved to death if you hadn’t let it run up your leg. Your alleged manhoodlessness is a national joke, Barry. Wasn’t it about two years ago when we all heard the rumor that if Hillary Clinton gave you one of her acorns, you’d both have two? Which brings us to the mom jeans – whose mom? And who’s genes? And that tingle Chris Matthews had down his leg? Don’t worry about it. It dried up. On the bright side, Vera Baker notwithstanding, at least you seem to have learned from Bill Clinton to keep your rod out of your staff…which brings us right back to David Axelrod. Not a bad name for a cheesy little squirt who gives us the entire shaft. Well-oiled? 10-40, Good Buddy!

Anyway, back to the news. Seems Charlie Wrangle and Maxipad Waters have no ethics. “Ethics? We don’t need no stinkin’ ethics!  Besides, it’s Bush’s fault, that friggin’ Cracka”. Would you like some cheese on that Cracka, Maxine? Or, are you on a diet and want to cut the cheese? Either way, Maxine stinks, Barry, and you know it. Reminds me of a song I learned as a young Cracka, Barry. Listen up while I sing you the tune…

Believe it or not, I sympathize with your situation. Let’s look at it objectively. You’ve really got it bad. Your Chief of Staff has a history of sending dead fish to people in the mail. Gives a whole new meaning to snail mail – it just might be! And then there’s your personal assistant, Valerie Jarrett, the local slum lord. And Baghdad Bob…geez, what were you drinking the day you hired that gas bag? I bet his Beano doesn’t Cook, either. And let’s not forget your love child, Nancy Pelosi. You can read about her in the Bible – in Genesis, to be precise. God took a rib from Adam and made the first loudspeaker.  That’s why her face is so tight – loudspeakers don’t work unless the woofer is uptight, out-of-sight, and in the groove.

So what’s your plan to get out of this mess, Barry? Go on vacation? Golf? Spend other people’s money? I gotta tell you, buddy. You’re in it too deep.  George Sore Ass can’t save you this time. You are such a shallow thinker that your mental masturbation ain’t going to buy you love. I admit it was a stroke of genius to redirect NASA to kiss up to Islam, but really, all you are going to do is end up with a bad case of peegret. Nancy Pelosi, a liberal leader and Speaker of the House of Representatives, today issued a dire warning while speaking to reporters.  One member of the press asked what she thought of the recent anti-Obamacare discussion.  Pelosi’s response was that she has “concerns about some of the language that is being used because I saw this myself in the late ’70s in San Francisco”.   The Speaker then when on to say that she found the rhetoric from those that disagreed with her to be, “very frightening”.

Liberals have often said that those that disagree with them don’t discuss the issues and resort to name-calling and fear-mongering.  In a turn-of-fate, the left has decided to use the tactic they often criticized others for employing.

Yesterday, another liberal congressional Representative, Maxine Waters(D-CA) stated that she wanted to see health care reform critics investigated.  She used terms like “Tea Bagger” and “Birther” to lump all of Obama’s critics together using belittling terms.

It’s no longer an isolated tactic.  Liberals from all corners of the left are signing on to the practice of labeling, generalizing, and name-calling anyone that disagrees with them. Recently, Jimmy Carter, in a television interview, commented that he believes that most of the anti-Obama sentiment is purely race-based.

In reviewing comments on multiple liberal blogs, it’s apparent that there is a growing movement within the left to label all dissent as racist and dangerous.  These claims appear to be galvanizing those that disagree with left-leaning politics and consequently increasing membership and activism in the anti-big government movement.  It is possible that by grouping different anti-liberal groups together, the left have created a daunting common enemy where there was once a bunch of much smaller ones.
