HARRY, your White House friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except in what they can control. They think that nothing can be which is not controllable by their little minds. All minds, Harry, whether they be men’s or children’s, are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole truth and knowledge of liberty.

Yes, HARRY, there is Liberty. It exists as certainly as faith, reason, wisdom and devotion to honor exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Liberty. It would be as dreary as if there were only Harry Reid. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.

Not believe in Liberty! You might as well not believe in life! You might get your papa to hire learned men to explain, but even if they did not produce it so you that could touch it, see it, smell it, hear it, or taste it, what would that prove? Nobody sees Liberty, but that is no sign that there is no Liberty. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men, and most especially those of power can see. Did you ever see faith reason, wisdom, or devotion to honor? Of course not, but that’s no proof that they are not there, other than the results they produce. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world, Because of Liberty.

You may trample upon the Liberty of men.  You may bind every last man upon the earth in unbreakable chains.  You may make illegal all things even the act of breathing, but there is a veil covering the unseen eternal nature of Liberty which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men, congresses, and presidencies that ever lived, can tear from the heart of every man. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory which Liberty supplies.

Is Liberty real? Ah, HARRY, in all this world there is nothing else so real and abiding.

No Liberty! Thank God! It lives, and It lives forever. A thousand years from now, Harry, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, Liberty will continue to make glad the heart of mankind.

 Coming on the heels of executive orders that by-pass Congress and the Constitution on the 2^nd Amendment we now find Barack Obama and his henchmen shredding even more of the Constitution.  Jay Carney essentially threatened local sheriffs who have said they will uphold their oath of office to the Constitution and refuse to obey unconstitutional federal gun laws.  Carney came out and said they better obey Obama’s orders because of Obama’s dedication to upholding that same Constitution.  After adding this to the countless edicts that have come out we now find Obama issuing another EO creating a federal commission to change state election laws to suit him and his Marxist handlers

How can anyone not see the blatant tyranny being brought by this bunch of wanna-be banana republic dictators?  The only vote fraud anyone has proven has come from his supporters, like the woman in Illinois bragging that she voted 6 – 9 times in 2012.  I am sure Obama plans for his commission to stop such activity.

The only vote fraud found in the last several elections have benefitted Democrats, such as Al Franken in 2008.  Now Obama and his criminal enterprise intend to stack the deck even further by dictating (there is that word again) how state elections are conducted.  I am sure we will soon find Gestapo agents from DHS “overseeing” every process involved in voting, and the counting of those votes.

Our Constitution was written by men who lived under a tyrannical government and wrote our guiding document to prevent such a thing from happening again.  Over time We the People have become so enamored of the political parties that many no longer see the Constitution for what it is, a road map of liberty, self-determination, and personal responsibility.  Neither political party has the best interests of the citizens in mind.  They only look to how they are going to be the ones sitting at the top of their ivory tower and getting the biggest piece of the pie of tyranny they are baking for We the People.

The government established by our founders was to be a government OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, and FOR THE PEOPLE.  It was written to give the most power to the citizens.  Through the citizens LIMITED power would be given to the state government, and through the state governments even further LIMITED power would be given to the federal government.  Today we see the federal government dictating what We the People can and cannot do through bureaucrats and professional politicians who go to law school, enter politics, and spend their lives dictating our rights back to us as it suits them.

Any fringe group that doesn’t like what the Constitution says about liberty and personal responsibility goes to government or to the courts and gets what they want handed to them as long as they will support those who give them a free pass to stomp on the rights of others.  This isn’t how our founders designed our system.  This is the system used in feudal Europe where one man, or his appointed minions, decides who gets what, who can do what, and who has to bow to the whims of who.

You don’t like guns, don’t own one; you don’t like sugary drinks, don’t drink one; you don’t like beef because you think it is unhealthy, don’t eat it.  But what gives anyone the right to tell me I can’t do these things, and what gives Barack Obama and his minions the right to determine how elections are administered at the state level?

This voting issue, like the gun ownership issue, isn’t about “fairness” or “safety”; it is about control, the control of many by a few.  This is dictatorship by conning citizens into believing that the federal government knows best.  Our founders didn’t believe such tripe and neither do I.  If we are to live free and have the ability to live our lives we must also take some personal responsibility for said freedom.

Obama and his allies in both political parties seek to change election laws to suit themselves, yet have a very poor record of prosecuting those who violate current election laws, such as the lady I mentioned earlier.  And speaking of prosecuting law breakers, Chicago came out 90^th of 90 cities studied recently in the prosecution of federal gun laws yet these same people want more gun restrictions.  Why pass more laws that won’t be enforced???  Why change election laws when current ones aren’t enforced???

You see, it isn’t about enforcing the law, it is about tyranny.  It is about passing more laws that restrict the liberty of the law abiding American citizen.  The political elites want to be able to insure they will reign forever without danger of We the People sending them to prison where they belong, the gallows which they deserve, or to just send them back home.

If this “commission” is allowed to stand, our system of free elections will be gone forever, if not already gone.  Intimidation, deceit, and bribery are the order of the day in our political society now and will only get worse if Obama gets to dictate how elections are done.  We already find ourselves living under severe voter fraud but neither political party will acknowledge fraud, much less do anything to stop it.

The “battle” between the parties is merely a dog and pony show to make We the People think someone actually cares about the voice of the people.  I am sure we will find another “Gang of …” to get together for a “bi-partisan agreement” on how to solve the issue of “fair elections”.

 I just read a story that made my skin crawl.  Barack Obama has declared that the federal government will send federal agents into states to take over their insurance industry if they don’t surrender to Obamacare and set up the exchanges demanded by the regime.  Obamacare was passed in 2009 using bribery and arm twisting, topped off by a complete perversion of the legislative process.  It was opposed by a huge majority of We the People and reconciliation was used in a total disregard for the normal legislative process. This action led to the TEA Party uprising in 2010 that saw Republicans sweeping elections across the nation.

Now Obama brazenly stands up there and says that We the People have absolutely no voice in how we attend to our own health care.  This is bold, in your face, tyranny.  This is treason!!! Obama and his cadre of Marxists have once again thrown the Constitution out the window and said “I demand this…..!!!!!” or “I will by-pass Congress and do as I wish”.  Now he has decided to by-pass the state governments and the very voice of the people.  Is this not the definition of a dictatorship?

We either live by the Constitution or we live by the dictates of Der Fuhrer and his band of cutthroats.  The sad fact is that the ”leadership” of both political parties, the “ruling elite”, have joined forces with Obama to subjugate the population.  We now find “universal firearm registration” becoming much more acceptable to the Republican Party establishment, no surprise there.  All the noise about the assault weapons ban was a smoke screen for universal registration.  As soon as they know where all the weapons are they don’t need to ban them, they can just come out and confiscate them.  This is tyranny!!

Barack Obama has declared that he will dictate how we obtain and pay for our own health care, and he will send his armed agents to enforce it.  Any guess as to where a lot of the DHS purchases will be going???  The 10^th Amendment doesn’t mean any more to these people than does the 2^nd Amendment.  He will send his Gestapo agents into each state and just take over the industry, he will “nationalize” the insurance industry.

Anyone who opposes this dictator will be dealt with by “federales”.  In 2010, Oklahoma voters rejected Obamacare in a 70%-30% vote.  Obama says what we want doesn’t matter and that he will impose his will on us by using armed federal agents to insure compliance.

This is not a battle between Democrat and Republican; it is a battle between Good and Evil, between We the People and a tyrannical government.  They are already giving massive amounts of military hardware to city and state law enforcement agencies.  Some sheriffs and police chiefs have said they will stand with Obama but many have said they will stand with We People.

The few people in Congress who speak up for the Constitution are pilloried by people on both sides of the political “aisle”.  Personally, I don’t see an aisle between the parties.  The federal government, in the name of Der Fuhrer Barack Obama, has announced its decision to subjugate its citizens.  They no longer make any pretense of “looking out for our best interests” and have gone right to threatening to sending armed agents to impose their will on what is supposed to be a free people.

Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Benito Mussolini did this very thing when they seized control of their nations.  Anyone who refused to comply with the dictator was either bribed or intimidated into submission, or replaced (read that: shot).  As of now we have come to the point of “we refuse and they replace”.  How long before they step in somewhere else?  The federal government has been far too involved in our everyday lives for years.  Now that a majority has bucked up and said “whoa Hoss!!”, Obama and his cutthroats are going to just send in their Gestapo agents to enforce the dictate.

The question is, what are the states going to do????  Are the governors and other elected officers of these states going to accede to the demands of the dictatorship or are they going to stand up for the Constitution?  Are they going to honor their oath of office and their pledge to We the People???

Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John Doak has said he does not have the authority to enforce federal laws and will not do so.  What will Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin and the Republican controlled legislature do??? Will they step up and use state law enforcement to prevent this act of treason or will they roll over and give in???  If they will surrender our 9^th and 10^th Amendment rights today what happens when the “federales” get finished with the 2^nd Amendment?

If Congress, both political parties, and the governors of the threatened states, allow Obama to get away with such a blatant act of tyranny where will it stop??  It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know what happens when a small group of people can use force to impose their will on the majority of the population.

And what about those states not directly affected by this?  Do you think this doesn’t affect you?  I remember a quote from Pastor Martin Niemoller  in which he mentioned all the times people were trampled on by the Nazi government and he said nothing because it wasn’t him. Then they got to him and he was alone.  We all must stand together now or there won’t be any standing together later because many of us will be gone.

Now is the time for the governors to get together and create a plan of action against this blatant tyranny.  Many sheriffs have said they will stick with We the People, and We the People will stick by their sides.  The time for party politics is gone.  This is about the liberty of the citizens of the United States of America.  The noose is tightening around our necks and the ruling political class is tightening it as fast as they can because they see the citizens waking up. They see citizens beginning to make serious preparations for an all-out assault on our freedom by a dictatorial oligarchy in Washington, D. C. (De Cesspool) and they are moving as fast as they can to head off any ability of said citizens to oppose them.

The people are mobilizing to fight off the activities of a government overstepping its Constitutional bounds while most of our elected officials, in both political parties, band together to remove our only means of protection, the 2^nd Amendment.

This action by the regime will abolish the 9^th and 10^th Amendments; universal firearm registration will abolish the 2nd Amendment.  The 4th Amendment against illegal search and seizure had been trampled to death numerous times in the last few years.  Our Republic is on the verge of oblivion and dictatorship is on the horizon.  Obama, Boehner, McConnell, Reid, Pelosi, McCain, Graham, Cantor, Schumer, and the rest are not going to just give up when they are a whisker away from the absolute control they have been seeking.  Their behind-the-scenes handlers won’t allow it either.  The window for a peaceful resolution is rapidly closing.

Lady Liberty: A beacon of freedom the entire world sees.  A symbol of a better way of life anchored in liberty, opportunity and equal protection under the law.

Inspiring yes, but that is not the entire story.

Lady Liberty also stands as a reminder to America that the the American way of life is why people have come to this country for centuries.

What the world is currently witnessing is the collapse of the European socialist economic model; the failure of government dependency. As more people become dependent on government, fewer people are left to pay the cost.

But it goes beyond simply spending other people’s money. The socialist entitlement mentality makes people less productive. As more and more people become less and less productive, an ever-smaller minority of productive people become responsible for shouldering the burdens of a completely lopsided, unfair system. When a tiny number of productive people are required to deprive themselves of the fruits of their own labor in order to finance the lives of the remaining population, where is the incentive for them to produce?

If that is not enough, reliance on a big government nanny state makes people less responsible for themselves; less self-reliant. That is the antithesis of the American way of life.

When European settlers colonized the New World, they left the security of Europe behind in favor of North America’s unknown wilderness. They left homes, family, friends and country in exchange for an opportunity to build better lives for themselves. They were freed from the constraints of Europe’s restrictive class system.  They openly rejected the European way by their leaving.

When the British Monarchy deemed to re-impose that system on Britain’s thirteen North American Colonies, that attempt was adamantly and thoroughly rejected. Hence: the Declaration of Independence, the American Revolution and the founding of the United States of America.

When America’s pioneers ventured forth to traverse the Great Plains and cross the Rocky Mountains they were completely self-reliant. They took care of themselves. They did not have, want, or need a big nanny state government to take care of them from cradle to grave.

This is the stuff of which America is made.

Because it gives them control over “the masses”, “progressives” have long sought to fashion America after the European socialist model, to make Americans more government dependent. There was FDR with the New Deal and Social Security. LBJ gave America the Great Society, Welfare Programs and Medicare.  Then, Obama forced upon an unwilling America the crown jewel of European style socialism; government controlled medicine.

Every time “progressives” hold a press conference they sound exactly the way they have always sounded: they inherited the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. Their policies are working, but need more time. Congress needs to quit stalling and enact more of their policies. The private sector is doing fine but to grow the economy government needs to spend more money to create more government jobs at the state and local level.

Repeatedly, “progressives” show exactly how out of touch they are with the private sector, how the American economy works, the lessons of American history and the nature of America’s people.

Europe will not work in America. Neither will out of touch narcissists who insist on imposing a long rejected European system upon America.

It is time for Americans to reject the following proposal, long foisted upon America by the self-imagined, self-appointed, “progressive” intellectual elite:

We, the government, are your lords and masters.  You will do as we say, not as we do.  For we are the enlightened “progressives” and you are but melting pot bitter clingers.

It isn’t a matter of whether the government bureaucrats and politicians understand the phrase “shall not be infringed” or not, but rather a matter of they don’t acknowledge the basic tenet of the Constitution or any of the Amendments in the Bill of Rights.

Barack Obama has called the Constitution a “charter of negative liberties”, meaning it was written as a bad thing not a good thing because it limits the authority of government.  He was referring to the redistribution of wealth at the time but has since applied this same demented opinion to every liberty guaranteed to We the People.  Obama sees himself as above the Constitution and the law of the land.  He sees himself as a dictator, giving and taking away at his discretion.

The 2^nd Amendment is under serious attack from both state and federal governments, on many fronts and by a diverse group of people.  It is no secret that the Democrats have long desired to establish their dictatorship by first disarming We the People.  This battle has been going on for years and isn’t anything new.  One new aspect, however, is the Veteran’s Administration sending letters to veterans stating they may not be mentally capable of handling their own affairs and therefore also not mentally capable of owning firearms.  There is an appeals process but that will result in the desired outcome; veterans “deemed” mentally incompetent and left without the means to defend themselves, their families, and their God-given rights, stripped of every right they fought to preserve for others.

What is frightening is the new allies of the Marxist Democrats.  House Republican Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA-22) has come out and stated that gun control and immigration “can be done without help from Republicans”.  Odd, I thought McCarthy is a Republican, but says he will work with Democrats against Republicans. It seems as though neither political party much cares what the Constitution says, nor what the Founding Fathers had in mind when they wrote it.  Now we find the Republican Party establishment coming out in favor of various gun control schemes, all designed to ultimately render We the People as slaves of an autocratic dictatorship.

Several states, including Illinois, New York, California, and now Colorado, have come out with legislation that is clearly unconstitutional yet politicians on both sides of the aisle “deem” themselves wiser than our Founding Fathers and have decided they have the authority to make such decisions.  They will decide who can protect themselves and how that can be accomplished.  Some of the more prominent self-defense suggestions have been whistles, call-boxes, scissors, ink pens, wetting one’s pants, and it gets ridiculous beyond here.

As government officials at the federal and state levels seek to disarm We the People, they have ramped up the quantity, and lethality, of weapons possessed by such defense oriented agencies as the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Agency (NOAA). YEP, that’s right! the group that forecasts hurricanes.  I am not sure why they need full automatic M-16’s and billions of rounds of ammunition but who am I to question the “elitists” in Washington????   Local areas are finding IED-proof armored cars popping up and helicopters flying over their cities firing machine guns.  The Department of Homeland Security (sic) just acquired 2700 armored vehicles, plus thousands of full automatic rifles, handguns, and several billion rounds of hollow point ammunition.  For the novice, hollow points cannot be used in war; they have been banned by the Geneva Convention.  And while there is some discussion about who these “Urban Rescue Vehicles” (with gun ports) actually belong to there is no question they are being fitted for urban warfare in American cities.

Much has been said and written about the eventuality that a Supreme Court case will once again decide if We the People can defend ourselves or not.  With the decision of John Roberts on Obamacare it is obvious the 2^nd Amendment is in danger.  Who can citizens depend on to stand up for the Constitution and the God-given rights it guarantees?  We know Democrats despise liberty and will stop at nothing to enslave us.  We are reminded quite often that the Republican Party is no better.  The Republican establishment would rather “get along” with Democrats than do their duty to “uphold, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States of America”.

I believe that the freedoms engrained in the Constitution are OUR freedoms, given by God, and only acknowledged as such and guaranteed by said Constitution.  Those who decide what the 2^nd Amendment means are We the People.   If We the People allow any governmental entity; the federal government, state government, any court, or any politician, to determine our ability to defend ourselves from evil we will find ourselves as slaves to those who make such decisions.

Rights are given by God to individuals.  Those individuals confer authority and responsibility to others to govern in the best interests of We the People.  When government, at any level, “deems” themselves the final authority over our lives we find tyranny, suffering, poverty, and slavery.  The rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights are MY rights.  The Constitution does not give rights to government, it sets limits.  It limits the action government is allowed to take and provides for the people to be the final arbiter of what is legal or not legal.  Those sitting in their ivory towers making rules for We the People to live by are stepping well across the line of Constitutional bounds in a number of categories.  They have decided they are wiser, smarter, and more worthy of deciding what is or is not permissible, and the Constitution be damned.

We the People must stand strong against this tyranny.  If allowed to fester, tyranny will envelop all it touches and grow a cancer that is fatal to a Republic.  When those seeking ultimate power are the ones who are judge, jury, and executioner justice will never prevail.  It is up to us, We the People, to stand up for the rights, values, and responsibilities given to us by Almighty God.  It is up to us to band together to preserve a liberty bought with the blood and lives of thousands of our predecessors.  It is up to us to preserve that liberty for our descendants.  If we cower in fear or dismiss the danger and allow this to go on unchallenged we will see generations of Americans living under the yoke of oppression such as has been seen in Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, Communist China, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, and other dictatorships.  I will not allow the Supreme Court, or any other government agency, to make me a slave.

I, for one, will not stand by and let this happen.  We the People have seen the greatest nation to ever exist slide into disrepair due to our neglect of our responsibilities to insure liberty for future generations.  WE have been asleep at the wheel as tyranny has been implemented slowly.  Now that We the people are awake it is incumbent that we act to preserve what liberty is left and fight to restore that which has been lost

I wonder why DHS doesn’t just demand the crazed criminal turn in his weapons so I don’t have to worry about it in the first place. As a matter of fact, why not just tell all the gang members and criminals to turn in their weapons, or face prison time? Wouldn’t that solve the whole firearms crime problem? They certainly want me to be disarmed and unable to return fire as a defensive method. I guess that banning all guns is the answer to this problem (see the murder rate in Chicago for reference) and apparently the answer is to carry concealed scissors.

Would I need a permit for concealed scissors? Who would issue that permit, if needed, and would I have to undergo extensive training to be eligible for such a permit? I don’t do well cutting out strings of shapes so I would need that extensive training. Also, can I defend myself with pointed scissors or do I need to use the blunt ended ones like first graders use, for my own protection?

I am a Special Forces veteran and have been handling guns since I was 5 years old. I am now 63 so I have 58 years of handling a variety of firearms, including military hardware such as M-2 .50 caliber machine guns, recoilless rifles, mortars, rocket launchers, grenade launchers, and everything from a Spanish/American War rifle to an M-16. I have managed to fire hundreds of thousands of rounds from over one hundred different weapons, including anti-tank weapons, without accidentally shooting anyone, nor have I ever committed a crime with a firearm. If I would have known that a pair of scissors is the answer to the dangers of this world I could have saved myself a lot of time and effort in learning how to handle firearms safely. It certainly would have been much easier to tote a pair of scissors through jungles and swamps instead of an 8 pound rifle and the accompanying ammunition.

I also find it odd that the same DHS that tells me to defend myself with scissors is buying 7,000 AR-15 carbines for the self-defense of their Gestapo, er DHS, agents (like they will have semi-automatic fire only). Why is an AR-15 an “assault weapon” in my hands but a “personal defense weapon” in the hands of the Gestapo, er DHS, agents? And why should I buy these weapons for them while being denied the same right myself? Can you spell HYPOCRISY???

Janet the Nappy Napolitano seems to think her minions need such firepower when I don’t. Why is that? Are they special or are the rest of us just so beneath her agents that only they have the right to self-defense? How about arming her agents with scissors if that is the answer to evil people intending to do harm to them!!! What is good for the goose should be good for the gander but tyrants don’t look at things that way. They are more along the “do as I say not as I do” genre. Somehow “fairness” seems to be missing in their mission to render We the People defenseless before their Gestapo, er DHS, agents.

Fairness is the mantra for everything they do until it comes to We the People being able to protect ourselves from murderers or Gestapo agents. Suddenly “fairness” isn’t so important. What is important is that We the People do not have the means to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government. One thing I know to be an indisputable fact is that the 2nd Amendment isn’t about hunting or target shooting. It is totally about protection from a tyrannical government. The founders were very clear in the Constitution, the Federalist papers, and other writings, that We the People should be able to defend ourselves from King George III and future tyrants.

The battles at Lexington and Concord started because British soldiers were on a mission to disarm We the People. I guess our founders didn’t take to the idea of being defenseless any more than the patriots of today. If only scissors would have been more readily available to the colonists!!!

Another thought to chew on; if scissors will solve the problems of illegal use of guns why not just make “rock, paper, scissors” the law enforcement answer to solving every problem we face today. My 10 year old granddaughter explained the way the game works yesterday and I find it a refreshing way to resolve the issue of crazed gunmen or a tyrannical government and its Gestapo, er DHS, agents. When no one has a gun we can play this child’s game to resolve any disagreement and no one gets hurt, well, except for the poor unfortunate fool who chooses to defend himself with paper when facing a rock or a pair of scissors.

Once scissors are the weapon of the day will we need to register each set of scissors and store them in a federal government approved site? What class of scissors will be permitted to us peasants? Back to my earlier comment, will pointed scissors be “deemed” too dangerous for possession by the general public, as in us peasants? Will we only be allowed the kindergarten style blunt nosed scissors “to protect us from ourselves”?

I not only find this video totally absurd, but also resent my tax money being used for another moronic propaganda scheme of the Gestapo, er DHS. How much tax money did this video cost and how much are those 7,000 “personal defense weapons”, including high capacity magazines and ammunition, going to cost those of us who will have to scrape to find the money to buy appropriate scissors for our own personal defense and then pay for the permits we will no doubt be required to possess in order to carry them concealed?

1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.
Insure that every agency has every bit of information on everyone in the nation so nothing slips through our fingers, er through the cracks. “Sieg Heil!!!”.

2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.
If we have inadvertently left in a provision that allows the states any hope of nullifying any action we will ensure the courts side with us until we get it repaired. Bribe or threaten any who do not willingly comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”.

3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.
Try bribery first and that doesn’t work we can go to threats. These “motivational aids” will encourage cooperation from governors and legislators of both political parties. Ve have vays of making you talk, Sieg Heil!!!”

4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.
Categories MUST include, from most important to least important; Military veterans with priority on Special Ops training and combat experience; people of Christian and Jewish faiths; people who own guns; people who know how to shoot someone else’s guns; people who have read and understand The Constitution of the United States of America; people who expect elected officials to uphold their oath of office; people who discuss liberty, personal responsibility, and self-determination; conservative people who have the temerity to criticize any politician that violates his/her oath of office.

Categories that MUST NOT appear on the prohibited list; Muslim terrorists, Mexican drug cartel members; street gang members; union members, politicians, Hollywood types. “Sieg Heil!!!”

5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.
Make them jump through enough hoops they will be guaranteed to fail. Give local law enforcement and our imbedded Gestapo agents enough leeway, rather demand law enforcement, deny anyone not “acceptable” the right to have their firearm returned to them. “Let me see your papers!!! Sieg Heil”

6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.
Dictate to dealers exactly how they will circumvent the Constitution to do the bidding of the ruling class. Threaten to investigate and impose enough fines on fake violations to put out of business any who do not willingly comply. Make every gun dealer an agent of the Reich, “Sieg Heil!!”

7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.
Register every gun so we can confiscate them more easily. We will know where every gun is and who owns it. In the mean time, insure that any gun in the hands of a civilian is either inoperable or locked up beyond reach. “Sieg Heil!!!”

8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission).
Make firearms useless for anyone to protect themselves. If nothing else, cause the price to rise so far so fast most won’t be able to afford one. “Sieg Heil!!!”

9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.
Well, except for the Fast & Furious type programs that we use to filter guns to Mexican Drug cartel members. We don’t want anyone but the ruling class passing out firearms to those we “deem” acceptable to have them; ie, Mexican drug cartels, street gangs, and Muslim terrorists. DO NOT report any guns that might be traced back to previously listed “acceptable” groups. Bribe or threaten any who do not willingly comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”

10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement.
Get someone started on that fake study showing irresponsible gun owners who lost or had their gun stolen and blame them for crime. Give information to local Gestapo headquarters in order for them to carry out our confiscation program. Bribe or threaten any who do not willingly comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”

11. Nominate an ATF director.
Eric Holder is busy covering up Fast & Furious and Hillary is quitting so she can run in 2016. I need a brainless lackey who will carry out George Soros’ every order without question. Hmmm, I know, John Dean. “Sieg Heil!!!”

12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.
They already do this but we can slip in our indoctrination while hiding it behind “feel good” propaganda. Teach them how to take out those who demand we follow The Constitution of the United States of America (hahahahaha). ”Sieg Heil!!!”

13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime.
Put Gestapo agents in the field to insure local law enforcement carry out our orders. It worked great in occupied Europe under Hitler it will work just as well for us here in America. Insure that “protected groups”, ie Mexican drug cartel members, street gang members, and Muslim terrorists are not prosecuted or deterred from their tasks of murder, robbery, rape, kidnapping, etc. Be sure to only target law abiding citizens who might defend against our “helpers” or fight for their freedom from our dictatorship. “Sieg Heil!!!”

14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.
Drag out the last phony study, add the latest fake figures and release the results we desire. Do Not under any circumstances let the truth leak out. “Sieg Heil!!!”

15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies.
Get that bullet imprint bill and dust it off, time to release it again. We can stall until we can get all the guns registered and confiscated. If nothing else we can price ammunition out of the range of most Americans. Again, bribe or threaten those unwilling to comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”

16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.
Alright, which one of you idiots left that in there? Spin it to say that isn’t really there. Stick to the message. Tell doctors we pay them and demand they do as we say. Bribe or threaten any who do not willingly comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”

17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.
Don’t bother to bribe this bunch. We will own them in a few months anyway. Just issue the notification of threat should they not willingly comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”

18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.
More control of the Hitler Youth, er school children is necessary. Under no circumstances can we allow this to be done by local or state school officials. Get our Gestapo agents in every school. Bribe or threaten any who do not willingly comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”

19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education.
Control, it is all dependant on our control of everyone and every public meeting place. We must have churches and civic organizations under our thumbs if not there already. “Sieg Heil!!!”

20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover.
Tell them what they will do, we pay them and I am in charge now. There will be no more decisions coming from doctors, my minions will make those decisions. Anyone espousing freedom, liberty, self-determination, or the Constitution of the United States of America MUST be declared mentally unstable, a danger to society, and an enemy of the state. Bribe or threaten any who do not willingly comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”

21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges.
Get the control tight enough that no one can escape our tentacles, er we don’t leave anyone out. Make sure previously listed mental health issues are covered again, and covered thoroughly. Leave no cracks that they can slip though to find liberty. “Sieg Heil!!!”

22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.
Make sure we get ANY possible conservative thought declared a mental disorder. For that matter, any independent thought, anything not prescribed by the ruling class will be a mental disorder. Bribe or threaten any who do not willingly comply. “Sieg Heil!!!”

23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health
Get the two most evil people I can find to conspire to insure anyone who isn’t a mind-numbed robot can be declared mentally incompetent and a danger to society, and an enemy of the state. On August 16th, 2012, former Marine Brandon J. Raub was arrested at his home by the FBI, US Secret Service, and the Chesterfield County (VA) Police department. [Video below]

What was this Iraq and Afghanistan veteran arrested for – without a warrant?  The posts on his Facebook page.  Reportedly, the posts on his page – which consisted of controversial song lyrics, and his personal dissatisfaction with the US Government – were deemed controversial and “terrorist in nature.  Upon his detention, authorities brought Mr. Raub to the John Randolph Medical Center for evaluation

Virginia Cop Block – a site dedicated to educating citizens about their rights and exposing those who violate them – reported that these agencies used a “Green Warrant”, stating the follwoing:

Virginia CopBlock has learned that this form of arrest/detention is known as a “Green Warrant”, often known as a “Mental Health Warrant”.  If a person is credibly believed to be a potential threat to themselves or others, a “Green Warrant” can be issued.  This allows government authorities to arrest and detain the person for up to 72 hours; and have them evaluated to determine if they are “mentally unfit”, and would pose a threat if released.

Americans are people who will fight to preserve, protect and defend the United States of America envisioned by its Founding Fathers.  Emerging from the Tea Party are Patriotic Americans ready to lead a return to American principles and values.

The political establishment ignores these new leaders at their own peril.

From 2000 to 2006, a Republican legislative majority and a Republican president abandoned traditional American values and practiced spending habits that were indistinguishable from those of “progressive” Democrats. They did not demonstrate the fiscal responsibility and discipline that had traditionally distinguished Conservative Republicans from “progressive” Democrats. As a result, the size and scope of government, “entitlement” programs, debt and deficits all grew by unacceptable amounts.  This opened the door for the “progressive” Democratic Party to seize power by running a political campaign based on lies about how they would practice fiscal responsibility and financial discipline.  After seizing unobstructed power, “progressive” Democrats, including the current White House occupier, set about adding $5 trillion to America’s national debt in less than four years.

This is not the path to economic growth and stability.  No nation can borrow and spend its way to prosperity.  After having been so betrayed by both political Parties, Americans are now awake to this stark reality.

This lack of anchorage to American values, this blindness to the true purpose of America’s mission has produced baleful results.

That time over.

The way for Americans to separate themselves from the tax and spend policies of “progressive” big government is a return to fiscal responsibility and financial discipline.  In order to succeed, Americans must be united in that endeavor.

A winning coalition will include both economically and socially Conservative Americans. Neither agenda can be successfully pursued without the other; they fit hand in glove.  This is because the government’s power is derived from the consent of the governed, whose rights are God given.

The Tea Party proves that across America, a huge natural constituency exists for the bread-and-butter American issues of lower taxes, reduced government, a strong national defense, secure borders and a return to the traditional American values of: E Pluribus Unum, Liberty and in God we trust.

E Pluribus Unum means from many, one. It does not mean unquestioning acquiescence to multiculturalism and diversity.  Liberty means opportunity for all, not equality of results.  In God we trust means reliance upon the Creator of all things.  It does not mean passive acceptance of secularism, atheism or submissive surrender to “progressive” statist mandates.

The time has come.  Whether they asked for it or not, this is the time for all Americans to stand up and defend their country.

There can be no substitute for Liberty. The Constitution was designed to defend that Liberty. It is imperative that the shredding of this document by big government “progressives” be stopped. It is inherent upon Patriotic Americans to stand up and remind “progressives” that government’s power is derived from the consent of the people.

Disillusioned middle of the road swing voters disappointed by the “progressive” government’s failure to successfully respond to the economic crisis and college graduates who voted for hope and change who are now dissatisfied by the prospect of not finding a job are ready for viable solutions to an economic catastrophe brought about by “progressive” big government spending.

Americans must set aside whatever differences they have and unite behind the goal they share: Economic prosperity.

Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, Independents, even those not yet registered must join in the fight to defend the Constitution, revive the private sector free market economy and protect the American way of life.

America, stand up for your God given rights! Let no mortal take them from you.

The question remains: Are Americans ready to put aside their egos and personal agendas in order to secure the Blessings of Liberty for themselves and their posterity?

In March of this year, Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels signed a bill that returned to Hoosiers the legal ability to defend themselves against unlawful police entry into their homes.   Some are saying that Indiana is now the first state to allow the use of force against police, however others argue that the 4th and 2nd Amendments to the US Constitution already permitted this.

The new law’s introduction states:

“it is the policy of this state to recognize the unique character of a citizen’s home and to ensure that a citizen feels secure in his or her own home against unlawful intrusion by another individual or a public servant. By reaffirming the long standing right of a citizen to protect his or her home against unlawful intrusion, however, the general assembly does not intend to diminish in any way the other robust self defense rights that citizens of this state have always enjoyed. Accordingly, the general assembly also finds and declares that it is the policy of this state that people have a right to defend themselves and third parties from physical harm and crime.”

The new law stemmed from the Barnes V. Indiana State Supreme Court decision, which stated that  ”allowing resistance unnecessarily escalates the level of violence and therefore the risk of injuries to all parties involved without preventing the arrest”.

The Barnes case was one where a police officer entered an apartment, without a warrant and without invitation from the residents, to respond to a domestic violence complaint.  Mr. Barnes blocked the doorway and resisted the use of force by an officer to enter the apartment.  Police choked and tasered Mr. Barnes and arrested him for Battery on a Police Officer.

Honor and integrity being as foreign to the paper-pushing tyrants who inhabit the halls of government as the contrived values of the world’s tyrannies are to the majority of Americans, we should probe the ultimate source for our burgeoning oppression. One thing is for certain — we did not survive the darkest periods of human history as a free country to be yoked under by the likes of the two-bit charlatans and slipshod masterminds who currently feign to knuckle us under.

What is essential in our liberation is therefore the promulgation of a proper understanding of rights. This will provide us with the moral clarity with which to decipher the conniving sophistries of our would-be rulers. Rights are ineluctably individual and not contingent upon the accidents of nature, such as skin color, place of birth, or sexual disposition. Such qualifications make a mockery of the legal concept of rights and devolve them merely into state-granted privileges. False conceptions of rights, often flown under the banners of high-sounding euphemisms like “civil rights,” do not put conditions upon government, where the onus properly belongs; but rather put conditions upon our individual rights, which are already due us under the auspices of freedom.

More controversially for those already receptive to such argumentation, and hopefully not an irreparable division between those of us who are already individual rights advocates, in route to reaching a properly arrived at consensus, is the source for our rights. While the Founders and those who properly revere them argue that our inalienable rights emanate from God or a Creator, this is not necessarily the case. Counter-intuitively for many, and argued with full awareness of the religious revulsion that such a statement might provoke, rights can be objectively derived from the true aspects of reality, human nature, and life itself.

While the rightfully religious might find such a claim heretical, and those who adhere to pragmatic democracy as a form of government might find this dogmatic, the reasoning for such a position is logical, straightforward, and absolutely conducive to religious observance and practice.  No less a mind than Thomas Aquinas’ found that Nature was an expression of God’s will; and therefore, we may observe that which we deem as destructive and deadly fully accords with a common understanding of evil, and that which is creative, productive, and life-sustaining is likewise of good. Such a rational breakdown is crucial to a proper understanding of rights and justice in society.

Property is indispensable to the condition of liberty, which is the right to lead our own lives. Being born into this world as co-equal human beings, essentially  rational creatures, we must have the freedom to exercise our faculties in order to be human and thus to achieve happiness. We are not born into a condition of being owned by society or government; this is an affront to reason and morality. What should bind us together as a people is a reverence for life: its creation, furtherance, and promotion. And life cannot be protected or preserved without individual rights or a charitable disposition, the latter being nurtured by a just religion.

Some may appeal to a supernatural defense of our rights in the face of government, as a totem to ward off the enemies of freedom. But oppressors do not hold any regard for such intangible warnings, as real or unreal as they may be. What is essential to understand is that the proper counterweight to government force is popular force; whether prayer animates that force or a self-aware enough regard for one’s rights to vigorously uphold property, liberty, and life in society is inconsequential to the state. After all, the God of the Old Testament mobilized men to take action against their oppressors, whether by flight or by war. It was action that saved the Israelites, not idle prayer.

Thus, while an allowance for religiosity is completely acknowledged as being utterly indispensable to a free republic, the safeguarding of our rights must not rest on an appeal to an invisible protector. Millions of people in the past appealed to such a God without effective and expedient mobilization to action and were nonetheless enslaved and even slaughtered without worldly recourse. We must not relegate justice in this world to resolution in the afterworld. We must uphold what is right in the here-and-now and be the steadfast guardians of our own liberty.

The problem is, as conservatives we are often put in the position of defending the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the ideas of our Founding Fathers.  Any time you are defending your position you aren’t gaining ground.

If you want to learn how to take conservative ideas on offense, let Calvin Coolidge give you an example of how to destroy progressive ideas:

“About the Declaration there is a finality that is exceedingly restful.  It is often asserted that the world has made a great deal of progress since 1776, that we have had new thoughts and new experiences which have given us a great advance over the people of that day, and that we may therefore very well discard their conclusions for something more modern.  But that reasoning can not be applied to this great charter.  If all men are created equal, that is final.  If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final.  If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final.  No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions.  If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people.  Those who wish to proceed in that direction cannot lay any claim to progress.  They are reactionary.  Their ideas are not more modern, but more ancient, than those of the Revolutionary fathers.”

There you go – the next time some fool starts attacking our principles or the Founders it’s time to go to on offense.  Ask this person, “Ok, what exactly about our principles is outdated – are all men not created equal?”  This person will try to redirect the conversation from this question because – more than likely – he was initially just repeating something some campaign talking point or something his college professor told him.  But don’t let him off the hook – remember, you’re on offense here.  Demand an answer to that question.  Then move on to the others.  Do we not all have equal rights?  Are the people not the source of political power?

Coolidge nailed it in this quote – there is no moving beyond these three principles that make up the foundation of our country.  Everything that progressives want to do moves us away from one of these principles in some way.  We must force them to defend this ground if we want to move the debate in a positive direction.

Here’s one example of how it works: progressives want to take property away from some people in order to give it to others who progressives feel are more deserving.  As President Obama would say, “At a certain point, you’ve made enough money.”  This is where you go on offense.  Ok, at exactly what point in the income scale do you forfeit your property rights?  So we don’t have equal rights to keep property we’ve earned?  Who will be taking these rights away?  I thought our rights came from God.  And on and on.

This is ground that the progressives simply cannot defend.  Remember – as long as they are on defense they cannot gain ground.

If you are a person who loves freedom, it’s time to get to work.. and it’s time to go on offense.  Liberty is not for those who are willing to sit back and allow others to make decisions for them.  Liberty is earned by people who are willing to be eternally vigilant in its defense.

On that same day in 1926, Calvin Coolidge described the type of people we need to be if we want to preserve our freedom:

“The American Revolution represented the informed and mature convictions of a great mass of independent, liberty-loving, God-fearing people who knew their rights, and possessed the courage to dare to maintain them.”

For decades now many conservatives – myself included – have had the option of paying lip service to how much they love their rights and their liberty without consequence.  Those days are over.  Our rights and our liberty are currently under a direct assault.  The time has come to make a decision – do you have the courage to maintain them?

After being called out for being completely misinformed about perhaps the single most important idea involved in the founding of this country – that we all have equal and God-given rights – Markos dug the whole deeper by tweeting this nugget of brilliance:

Karl over at Hotair.com has already done a pretty good job of tearing apart the idiocy of these comments so I won’t cover the same ground. (Mike at the Political Operative does a nice job as well.)  However, there was one point Karl didn’t point out that is worth noting.

Markos is so confused here that the evidence he uses to support his original tweet – the “We the people” phrase – is actually one of the strongest arguments against his claim.

The short version of the argument is this: the phrase “We the People” is an acknowledgement that the Founders believed that – for a government to be legitimate – it has to be established or consented to by the people.  That belief comes from the idea that all men are endowed by God with equal rights.  The fact that the founders begin the Constitution with the phrase “We the People” actually indicates their belief that our rights come from God – not the government.

Now for the longer version.

In the Preamble, when the Founders used the phrase “We the People of the United States [...] do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America” they certainly weren’t saying that the government is the grantor of rights – as Markos claims.  If the Founders believed that, the Constitution would have started with something along the lines of, “The King of the United States hereby decrees that the following document is law…”

The fact that they started with the phrase – We the People – actually tells us a lot.  For one thing, it tells us that this country wasn’t founded on the idea that rights were granted by government.  To find out how, let’s start at the beginning.

We know from the Declaration of Independence that the Founders believed that all men are endowed by their Creator with equal rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

With that in mind, if two people on a deserted island had to create a government – how would they decide who would rule over the other?  They are both equals, so one is not naturally superior to the other.  They both have a right to liberty, so one person couldn’t legitimately impose a government on the 2nd person because that would violate his right to liberty.

If all men are created equal, then the only legitimate way to create a government is for the people who will be governed to agree to it.  This is where we get the phrase in the Declaration of Independence:

“…Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…”

This means that political sovereignty doesn’t come from a king, a Congress, or any government.  The only true source of political authority is the people themselves.

So when the Founders start with the phrase “We the People” they are basically saying, “Hey the power of this government is legitimate because this Constitution was written and approved by the people.”  And again, this entire idea is based on the belief that all men are created with equal rights.

The lesson here – Markos is very, very wrong and very misguided.  Not exactly breaking news, but important nonetheless.

As a final note that I can’t resist adding, if you take two seconds to look through the Bill of Rights you’ll see even more evidence that the Founders did not believe that the government granted rights.  Throughout the Bill of Rights the text refers to protecting rights that already exist.  For example, the 2nd Amendment states:

“[T]he right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

Note that it doesn’t say, “This Constitution grants the people a right to keep and bear arms.”  The wording hear is clear that a right to bear arms existed before the creation of the government and that this amendment intended to protect that right.

It’s not surprising to find out that progressives believe that the government is the source of our rights and should have total authority over the people.  But it is simply mind-boggling to learn that they are foolish enough to believe that those ideas were the foundation for the United States Constitution.
