Where: The Studios at Casa de Hammy

Tonight: Hammy is out of town and Stevie has taken over The broadcasting studios of Casa de Hammy. We’re talking about the #Zimmerman verdict (becuase no one else is), the huge right to life victory in Texas, and the absolute cluster of disaster the Left has wreaked upon the once great city of Detroit. Join me! (And pester @e2pilot to call into the show for awhile)

A Thank You Note to “Progressive” Hero Dr. Kermit Gosnell

gosnell

Dear Dr. Gosnell,

Before I really get going here, let me just say I’m sorry the “progressives” have abandoned you, that they’re pretending to condemn your bloody work. That must be hard; after all, they supported you for decades until your gruesome activities were brought to the light and started to harm their “babies are parasitic clumps of cells” narrative. Of all the things you so richly deserve, being betrayed by those who continue to support your fetus jihad isn’t one of them.

Anyway. This may sound odd coming from me, as I have spent my entire adult life fighting ferociously for the rights of the lives you so happily exterminated, but I do want to tell you “thank you”. Seriously.

A freezer in Gosnell's clinic stuffed full of human remains.

A freezer in Gosnell’s clinic stuffed full of human remains.

Thank you, Kermie, for showing America the realities of the “choice” many of them support. As you know, the Left works tirelessly to cover up the realities of kill houses like yours. They operate a pro-abortion propaganda machine that rivals anything put out by Kim Jong-Un. And just like the North Koreans, Americans who favor abortion eat up the lies like candy, too brainwashed and blind to notice the foul taste in their mouths. But then your crimes against humanity were brought to light and fence sitters especially were forced to examine exactly what it was they were championing. The far Left, of course, pretends to condemn you while continuing to support exactly what you did and how you did it, but those monsters are unreachable anyway. You’ve opened the eyes of misguided, but otherwise rational individuals. So thank you.

Thank you for demonstrating what thinking people have always known, that the “war on women” comes from the Left. You took filthy gosnelladvantage of poor, vulnerable women in crisis situations. You maimed them. You gave them diseases. You performed medical procedures on them surrounded by filth. You even killed them.  You showed America that abortion isn’t about “womens’ rights”, but about profit at the expense of innocence. Along these same lines, you also showed the many what the few have always known; it’s the Left and specifically abortion proponents who are perpetrators of extreme racism. Not only were the majority of the babies you slaughtered black, but when you had the occasional white patient, you treated her infinitely better than her minority counterparts because, what was it you said? “That’s the way the world works”? Something like that. I’m paraphrasing. But the point is, Margaret Sanger would be proud. The Left is proud. You revealed their true colors. So thank you.

Thank you for being the poster boy of media bias. Your case was hardly a blip on the mainstream media’s radar because the (hopefully) fatal damage you did to the Left’s pro-abortion/anti-life agenda really terrified them. The water they carry for Obama and his brand of far left ideology is already so heavy, and then you came along and added obstacles that may well end up to be insurmountable. So thank you.

Mostly, thank you for finally being arrogant/careless/evil enough to get caught. You are a modern day Dr. Mengle. Yours is the kind of evil that makes Satan himself scratch his head in confused awe. While it took far too long and far too many women and babies suffered and died under your heinous “care”, at least your reign of terror has been stopped and now people are aware of how your counterparts operate. Your loathsome practices may be the wakeup call America needed to begin reversing its cavalier attitude toward the extermination of innocent life. So thank you.

Give my regards to Satan when you’re rotting in hell next to Hitler,

Stevie J. West

A Tale of Two Families

gavel

If ever you experience a sliver of doubt that leftism is an evil cancer that must be excised as thoroughly as possible for the very survival of our society as a whole, consider these two California families.

The Nikolayev Family

baby takenAnna Nikolayev and her husband Alex watched helplessly as police literally ripped their five month old baby from her arms.  “I’m going to grab your baby and don’t resist and don’t fight me, okay?” one of the officers told her. The reason this family was torn apart was simply because the parents decided to seek a second opinion for their son before subjecting him to open heart surgery. They were not getting adequate care or answers from the doctors, they felt, and so they decided to find better care. As it turns out, the parents were correct. The second doctor confirmed their suspicion that open heart surgery was not an appropriate course of action for this infant. Eager to defend his poor judgement, the original doctor vindictively embroiled this family in a battle for their parental rights that they must continue to fight.

The Morneo/Lobel Family

lesbian parentsPauline Morneo and Debra Lobel are the lesbian parents of eleven year old Thomas, who now goes by the name “Tammy”. When this little boy was three, the mothers taught him sign language because he had a speech impediment. According to Debra and Pauline, Thomas’ first sign told them, “I’m a girl”. Upon making the wildly irrational decision that a three year old has the capacity to determine his “gender identity”, they began raising him as a girl and have now gone so far as to put him on hormones to stop his puberty. Apparently the sign language at age three coupled with the fact that this boy seemed to prefer headbands to baseball caps was enough to prompt these women to seek out doctors willing to implant a hormone suppressant in his arm so he will not experience puberty. Child Protective Services is not involved.

Up is down. Black is white. The world makes no sense. Parents who behave as parents should, like the Nikolayevs, are punished severely, even though they were right all along. Parents who are motivated by a bizarre far leftist agenda and push their son into a lifestyle he has no true concept of and medicate him with drugs that will permanently alter his brain chemistry when he has absolutely no ability to weigh the consequences or consent to such a thing are lauded by their community as “progressive” “heroes”. Yesterday I asked the question “where are we going and why are we in this hand basket?” and indeed, we are not just slouching toward Gomorrah but happily skipping headlong toward its very heart.

We are rationalizing the irrational, punishing what should be celebrated and celebrating what should be punished. We are abandoning facts in favor of feelings. Is it any wonder our families, our children, our freedoms, and our very way of life is slipping away from us? We are facing so many challenges as a country right now, and those who expect to solve them without focusing on our huge moral crisis need a wakeup call. When we decide as a society that morality is not black and white, that the truth is subjective, that values are fluid and ever changing, we cannot expect to reap anything but the disaster we’ve sown.

Think Football Would Be Left Alone by the Radical Left? Not For Long.

NFLPINK2

The American Spectator recently pointed out that football has become “the new smoking.” If only the scourge of leftism were that toxic.

No, it’s much, much worse than that. Football represents a complete affront to the entire project of radicalism, which decades ago spread to our universities, schools, entertainment, and legal professions.

The last remaining conservative bastions — the military and professional sports — are presently under assault by leftists who cannot stand to leave these exemplars of patriotism and capitalist competition alone. So football fans better keep their heads on a swivel.

There is practically nothing more conceivably antithetical to the left’s worldview than American football. This makes it a sitting target, kind of like Barack Obama coming across the middle on James Harrison. [How would Obama talk his way out of the reality that he would get smoked?] The left is therefore working to co-opt the NFL and put it in the service of its political agenda.

Wild accusations? Unfounded speculation? Let’s look at what is happening under Roger Goodell, who is not only wussifying the league, but has moved the NFL seasons’s opening date this year to accommodate the Democrat convention speech of America’s royal majesty Barack Obama. As if a Republican would ever get such a courtesy.

The Obama administration earlier partnered with the National Football League with a “United We Serve” campaign that cross-promoted fitness and “service.” One might object that the NFL has partnered with “charitable” organizations in the past. The league has maintained a long and mutually beneficial relationship with The United Way. But United We Serve is no charitable organization, it is a political ploy designed to get Americans used to the well-established lefwing dream of everyone working for free. Sounds like slavery – with a smile.

For those who believe this is no more than right-wing pontification, observe the language on the White House “blog” describing United We Serve: “It’s going to take all of us working together to build a new foundation for America and it will happen one community at a time.” Yeah, kind of like Obama’s former community organizing outfit ACORN — why would the NFL want a piece of that action?

There is always the possibility that the NFL is simply clueless and sees nothing wrong with inviting a politically divisive figure to serve as representative of the league. Then again, the political correctness police banned Rush Limbaugh from partial ownership of the St. Louis Rams. And remember how Hank Williams Jr. was banned from Monday Night Football for his anti-Obama rant? Are you ready for some fascism?

Then we have numerous subtle assaults on the game, such as the attempt to protect football players from the real effects of concussions, as if NFL players have no choice how they use their bodies for a living (i.e. violently, while making millions of dollars). Again, there is the subtle message that contracts are coercive instruments of owners and not voluntary agreements between individually responsible adults.

But let’s get down to brass tacks. The political left is targeting the NFL and watering down its cultural significance with the leftist ethic of altruism, because the NFL represents a defiance of the socialist narrative virtually en toto. Is it really necessary to make 300 pound football players wear pink wristbands and ribbons for a month to show solidarity with breast cancer victims? Just cut a check for a million dollars and be done with it. Besides, it’s not like prostate cancer isn’t afflicting hundreds of thousands of men.

Sorry, I’ve been a football fanatic my whole life, and I know bullshit when I see it. My first words in life (no joking) were “football you bet.” I know the game. I know the political left. And I know when the latter is mucking up the former, just like it does everything else.

Professional football is an inherently conservative institution. Teaching both individual greatness and teamwork, football brings out the best in men through competition. Heck, most NFL franchise owners are conservative and donate Republican, which is no fait accompli in this crony capitalist climate. But is very ironic and disappointing that Republicans will be holding their convention in a 62% government-funded arena while chanting the slogan “We Built This.” Yet as any political observer nowadays can figure out, conservative and Republican are not even close to being the same thing. But on to the bigger picture.

Does anyone think that leftists fail to grasp how important professional football is to American culture? The NFL has all the traits that effete modern liberals despise. There is capitalism, manliness, and competition – making the league a perennial institution of solid American values so provocative that neomarxist shock-troops cannot help but try to co-opt it.

Best of all, in football results matter. This makes a football game a test of two teams: There is a superior team and an inferior team on any given Sunday. This black or white, up or down way of evaluating superiority clashes mightily with the left’s morally relativist worldview.

The National Football League is also a powerful indictment of the Marxian myth that there are two classes in a capitalist society, the haves and the have-nots, and that the former class unremittingly and perpetually exploits the latter. Professional football players come from all socioeconomic backgrounds (in fact usually lower and middle class ones) and they work their butts off to make the most of their talent; there is no free ride, and no excuses here.

The NFL, without any affirmative action policy and simply through the standard of open competition, confirms an argument that conservatives have been making for years: That a true market is colorblind. In the NFL, the rule is simple: Either you are a great football player or you are a fan.

Football players sell themselves and their unique set of skills to the NFL – and if successful, they become millionaires. The ultimate reason they become millionaires? Because the middle class has the time, the technological means, and the money to financially support the game.

The NFL constitutes a running threat to the leftist narrative. The leftwing march through all the institutions of the culture in order to subvert the economy continues, and professional sports is merely the last of American bastions to resist the left’s creeping program.

Here’s a hail Mary, keep the ubiquitous President Obama and his socialist program out of my Sundays. If you think Tea Party activists are bad, you haven’t seen thirty thousand rabid Kansas City Chiefs tailgaters.

The Culture Industry & Pop Subversion

Hot-Chelle-Rae

Conservatives tend to ignore pop music and see it as frivolous junk cluttering up the airwaves.  But a closer look at the culture industry reveals it as an insidious piece of the totalitarian puzzle, even more potent than bullets or bombs could be in forcing Americans into collectivism.

Allan Bloom wrote an entire chapter called “Music” in his seminal work The Closing of the American Mind. In the chapter, he rightly states, “Today, a very large proportion of young people between the ages of ten and twenty live for music. It is their passion; they cannot take seriously anything alien to music.”

That was in 1988. Before Brittney Spears, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and other pop icons of the Internet Age were being streamed into the heads of tweens accompanied by the visual flourishes of jiggling, gyrating, lip-syncing songstresses half-assembled out of silicone and entirely plastic.

And this isn’t some Bible-thumping, snake-handling socon grumbling on his back porch about ‘how times have changed’ and ‘youths were just so much more clean-cut and respectful back in the day.’ This is coming from a libertine libertarian of the live-and-let-live variety. I can’t run for public office because of the extra-curricular activities I engaged in during my college years. At least, not as a Republican. Just saying.

So before explaining why and how the music industry is an implemental part of the hard left’s creepy scheme to demoralize America, let’s set the stage by looking at the lyrics of seven of the biggest hits of the last year:

1. “Last Friday Night” (T.G.I.F.) by Katy Perry (Lyrics)

Last Friday night
We went streaking in the park
Skinny dipping in the dark
Then had a menage a trois
Last Friday night
Yeah I think we broke the law
Always say we’re gonna stop-op
Whoa-oh-oah

This Friday night
Do it all again
This Friday night
Do it all again

This was banned by the Red Chinese. Can’t say that I blame ‘em in this case. It has nearly 200 million views on YouTube though.

2. “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5 Featuring Christina Aguilera (Lyrics)

You wanted control
So we waited
I put on a show
Now I make it
You say I’m a kid
My ego is big
I don’t give a sh*t
And it goes like this

Comes in at a little over 110 million YouTube views.

3. “Super Bass” by Nicki Minaj (Lyrics)

And he ill, he real, he might got a deal
He pop bottles and he got the right kind of build
He cold, he dope, he might sell coke
He always in the air, but he never fly coach

He a mutha(bleep)in trip, trip, sailor of the ship, ship
When he make it drip, drip, kiss him in the lip, lip
That’s the kind of dude I was lookin’ for
And yes you’ll get slapped if you’re lookin’ ho

This “classic” has 267,000,000 YouTube views.

4. “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO Featuring Lauren Bennett & GoonRock (Lyrics)

One more shot for us, another round
Please fill up my cup, don’t mess around
We just wanna see you shake it now
Now you wanna be, you’re naked now

This song has over 465 million views.

5. “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster the People (Lyrics and Meaning)

All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You’d better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You’d better run, better run, faster than my bullet

The only song on the list I like, even though it is about a kid that snaps and goes on a murder spree.

6. “Give Me Everything” by Pitbull Featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack & Nayer (Lyrics)

Excuse me but I might drink a little more than I should tonight
And I might take you home with me if I could tonight
And baby I’ma make you feel so good tonight
‘Cause we might not get tomorrow

Almost 250 million YouTube hits.

7. “Tonight, Tonight” by Hot Chelle Rae (Lyrics)

It’s been a really really messed up week
Seven days of torture, seven days of bitter
And my girlfriend went and cheated on me
She’s a California dime but it’s time for me to quit her

La la la, whatever, la la la, it doesn’t matter, la la la, oh well, la la la

Yeah, all of this doesn’t really matter. It’s meaningless, demoralizing, overly sexualized, frivolous, mind-erasing, anti-humanistic drivel. There is nothing individualistically creative or mentally challenging about any of it.

The question is if the sad state of American culture is due to economic forces inherent in capitalism, such as tailoring to the lowest common denominator, or is it part of a leftist drive to debase the culture and to remove moral opposition to socialism?

The easiest way to find out this answer is to look at what influential leftists, who are universally taught in the upper ranks of colleges and universities, have to say about capitalist culture and what they propose to do about it.

One of the most prominent New Left critics of capitalist culture was Theodore Adorno. The Frankfurt School mandarin first coined the phrase “the culture industry,” which he used in the title of some of his manuscripts. In his Culture Industry Reconsidered, he wrote the following:

The culture industry intentionally integrates its consumers from above. To the detriment of both it forces together the spheres of high and low art, separated for thousands of years. The seriousness of high art is destroyed in speculation about its efficacy; the seriousness of the lower perishes with the civilizational constraints imposed on the rebellious resistance inherent within it as long as social control was not yet total. Thus, although the culture industry undeniably speculates on the conscious and unconscious state of the millions towards which it is directed, the masses are not primary, but secondary, they are an object of calculation; an appendage of the machinery. The customer is not king, as the culture industry would have us believe, not its subject but its object.

A modern musicologist comments on Adorno’s observations:

The central culprit for this “regression” was ultimately the culture industry, which sought to commodify the artwork in service of the mass market as “so-called cultural goods”. As a result, the work of art pales as an object of genuine contemplation and circulates in the consumer market, becoming an object sought out for its “exchange value” rather than its ‘deep’ principles. A curious vicious cycle of double-anticipation: the leaders of large entertainment companies anticipate the “tastes” of the “mass market” by reproducing what the “market” has deemed “popular”. Yet, Adorno points out that what is “popular” is “the most familiar” and “is therefore played again and again and made still more familiar”.

This technique of mechanical reproduction is not unique to music, it is also famously and memorably seen in art, with the purposeful critique of industrial civilization inherent in Andy’s Warhols art. The main concept is that the mechanical reproduction of art, in other words, its mass production, “demystifies” the individualistic aspect of artistic expression itself. Repeated imagery or simplified and compressed imagery tailors to the mass tastes; by extension, it influences and “corrupts” them in a not necessarily pejorative sense. The result is the diminishing of the humanistic influences that inform American individualism.

But none of this can be necessarily blamed on the left, which would be akin to shooting the messenger for delivering bad news. The problem arises when one finds evidence that the left actually roots for civilizational dissolution, and has infiltrated and established numerous powerful institutions with the express purpose of destroying the legacy of The Enlightenment, which informs the founding of the United States.  Culturally doing away with The Enlightenment would effectively leave men morally and philosophically helpless against totalitarianism.

One such powerful institution was The Princeton Radio Project, which Adorno took part in. While working with the project, Adorno developed the following critique:

“On the Hit Parade, Adorno found: When a popular song was “plugged” over and over again on American radio, a familiar pattern was recalled. The familiar pattern replaced thinking. With just a few musical notes of a jingle, like the sound of dogfood hitting the bowl, advertisers could produce the desired effect: “Oh, there’s my favorite show, I better stop what I’m doing, and come listen to my show.” Thinking was reduced to recall! Adorno thought the ad jingles and constant “plugging” of a few songs on the Hit Parade “infantilized the listener … with musical stereotypes…”

And what, ironically, was his association with this phenomenon? Adorno thought: “…totalitarian radio was assigned to the task…of providing good entertainment and diversion” and concluded that American radio served the same function as totalitarian radio – to distract listeners from political reality, as he interpreted it.

The Princeton Radio Project eventually became part of The Bureau of Applied Social Research, which Theodore Adorno worked with until leaving the group in the early 1940s. What was “The Bureau” and what did it do?

The Bureau of Applied Social Research (BASR), known as ‘the Bureau’ to those who worked there, played an influential role in early media studies and the development of communication as a discipline. Founded in 1937 as the Office of Radio Research (ORR), the Bureau (renamed in 1944) was a research institute affiliated with Columbia University but dependent for funding on external sources. It was one of several such research institutions formed by Paul F. Lazarsfeld, a Jewish-born Viennese émigré scholar, trained as a mathematician and social psychologist, who became a major figure in the history of the study of communication.

It is very important to note that these projects “studying” mass media influence were funded by very powerful organizations, such as The Rockefeller Foundation, The Ford Foundation, and the Carnegie Institute.  Highly recommended is a briefing on the particular role of Adorno and Lazarsfeld, and their work with The Princeton Radio Project.

The significance of such projects becomes more clear and more disturbing once one probes what these “non-profit” foundations are all about. Norman Dodd of the Reece Commission investigated the workings of such foundations and gave a harrowing and convincing interview that puts forth the proposition that they are institutional transmissions for integrating the United States into a world collectivist society.

The Frankfurt School, which Theodore Adorno and Max Horkheimer led, was eventually transferred to Columbia University, at the Institute for Social Research.  But other neomarxist theoreticians made their mark. Of these, Gyorgy Lukacs and Antonio Gramsci bear special mention.

Gyorgy Lukacs was The Minister of Culture under the communist regime of Bela Kun in Hungary. Lukacs was the author of History & Class Consciousness, which broke new territory on assaulting capitalist “culture.” One key aspect to his program to destroy capitalism was to target Christianity and family values, which he thought culturally reinforced capitalism.

As tenuous a proposition as this is, he debased Hungarian culture by seeking to actively sexualize the youth in the schools, which elicited a revolt in 1919. The Christian peasants helped to overthrow the Kun government, one of the few times a people has quickly overturned communist rule.

One saw the influence of Lukacs in President Obama’s resigned “Safe Schools Czar” Kevin Jennings, whose sexually illicit record made him an unusual choice to head a government agency dealing with schools – until one understands the purpose of introducing sexually explicit materials in the classroom: to debase the humanist aspects of the culture, and to make children easier to mold into socialists.

Religion is a very powerful barrier to socialism, and thus it must be destroyed, the left reasons. In addition, the irresponsible behavior provoked by youth sexualization makes young people more amenable to both the dehumanizing experience of abortion, and prone to becoming dependent on the social welfare state.

Antonio Gramsci provided the rationale for the left to seize the culture and to wield hegemonic control over it to bring about socialism. Gramsci’s insights on communication, how to conduct cultural warfare through capturing education and the media are so important they warrant special merit for the unfamiliar reader.

In short, the sum of the left’s progress in the schools, colleges, courts, news and entertainment media should be seen particularly from the viewpoint of a Gramscian war on American culture.

An interesting empirical fact reinforcing the powerful effect of “political correctness” in the culture is that nearly all professions dealing with information dissemination or cultural production have had Democrat voting rates of around 90%. Thus, we see the left’s propaganda techniques have had very powerful effect.

*It was recently brought to my attention by a Twitter user of a golden thread between Hollywood and government known as the Motion Picture Association of America or MPAA. Indeed, an examination of the heads of the MPAA lead right to the Chairman Christopher Dodd, best known for his financial corruption and role in the anti-capitalist legislation Dodd-Frank. During the raging debate on the anti-piracy bill SOPA, Chris Dodd even had the audacity to praise the Chinese model of government censorship. That was before threatening politicians who didn’t stay bought.

The Hollywood elite thus have direct ties to the Democrat Party, an incestuous relationship between culture and politics that is in some ways reminiscent of fascist regimes. Although the sum total view of the messaging is not blatantly socialist, it could be characterized as crypto-marxist.

The non-spontaneous but rather pre-planned nature of the left’s assault on the culture is more fully informed by the indispensable testimony of KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov. Bezmenov explains that the campaign of ideological subversion waged by America’s enemies should be thought of in terms of demoralization, destabilization, crisis, and (totalitarian) normalization.

It is not that the KGB and other ideological subverters originated and drove the cultural and intellectual deterioration of America, but they pulled un-American ideas along, nurtured corrosive values, and helped undermine institutions that kept the country strong and great. And according to recent reports, despite the formal demise of the USSR, the FSB is still in business and still carrying out active measures against The West.

The overarching point is that we should look out for elements of pop culture that may seem trivial, but have a compound effect. Much like critical theory, which breaks up the left’s uniform movement towards socialism into various interest groups, neomarxist modes of thought and expression take on many guises and manifestations. Sometimes the medium itself is the message.

What one finds in American popular culture is a gaping void hungering for a moral defense of the nation’s key values: individualism, liberty, and representative government. Real musicians like Gary Eaton, Wilson Getchell, and the band Cake are helping to lead the way on the music scene. And even seemingly marginal acts of cultural opposition as found in the Hollywood film The Dark Knight Rises are crucial to turning the tide against leftism.

American conservatives – you are the counter-culture. Act like it.

What the Left Hates Above All Else

s8-1athenetrunc

What the left hates above all else is a person with dignity and self-respect. This may seem like a counter-intuitive or unfair statement.  But the argument for this claim turns on reason, and the proper employment of language.

In the leftist’s view, all those who do not share his grand vision believes himself to be “above” society. Those who stand outside his group, and desire not to be a part of it, is condemned by the leftist as someone who feels himself to be “above” it.

This petty, juvenile contempt translates into a hatred of “hierarchy,” or “patriarchy”; and thus, intentionally or unintentionally, of order in society. It must be pointed out that a modicum of order is necessary for true freedom.

True freedom means an individual decides what to do with his life; this is in fundamental opposition to the totalitarian leftist’s plans for that individual.  A person is just a means to an end for the leftist, and has no inherent value in and of himself.

The great majority’s rational rejection of the left’s unhinged views has only served to radicalize the left, which subsequently translated its views into esoteric doctrines and oblique programs to subvert the will of its popular opposition.  Due to being historically outnumbered, the left has been driven to infiltrate “the system,” sloughing off all morality of the formerly “bourgeois” system, such as honesty, decency, and forgiveness in the process. The leftist has become the master of patron-client organization building, rewarding those who are “down for the cause,” while punishing those who remain oblivious or unsympathetic to the leftist’s inhumane agenda.

The leftist who reads this entry will immediately dismiss it, unable to separate his self-image from his position vis-a-vis objective reality. Dismissing logic, reason, and anyone who does not share his view, the leftist insulates himself from reality, both economically and socially, while surrounding himself with like-minded individuals who share his contempt for outsiders. The left’s sequestering into monastical environments promotes an “us-them” mentality, very similar to the kind found in cults.

This is not how a leftist would communicate his irrational hatred of an independent person to himself, however; for his lexicon has been shaped by the left’s philosophical forbears to cast all such personal characteristics mentioned above in terms of “selfishness,” “egotism,” “narcissism,” “greed,” or even pure “hate.”

As such, one needs to explain why the leftist is “inhumane.” The leftist pretends to care about “humanity,” without really caring about individuals. This fundamental contradiction is a grave one, for it leads the leftist to sacrifice actual living, breathing human beings for his abstract causes. The foundation of his worldview is seriously, irreconcilably flawed; and this is a deadly mistake in judgment on the leftist’s part.

Anyone who believes in something, and stands for something, is the greatest threat to the left. From the leftist’s point of view, anyone with a solidified moral code is by nature a “fanatic,” or even “fascist” in mentality.

But the leftist does not realize that the code of individualism is itself a barrier to fanaticism (one can witness the tidiness and orderliness of tea party rallies, in comparison to the usual mob mentality of the left, for example). In contrast, the leftist’s opposition to entrenched morality and order leads him to seek fatal societal breakdown, resulting not in liberation or a superior order, but rather the powerlessness of members of society to defend themselves from power-hungry rulers.

A woman or a black or any individual with her own mind, her own sense of benign morality, and who exercises judgment, infuriates the left because she is beyond its powers. She is unable to be easily manipulated. She is not readily subject to being reinvented in the left’s imaginary ideal. In the leftist’s eyes, these stubborn qualities alone makes her intrinsically “hateful,” “racist,” “bigoted,” “fanatical,” “uncaring,” and “uncompassionate.”

For the left, the agenda trumps all. Actual living, breathing individuals who refuse to accompany them into demonstrable political madness be damned.

The American Left: Justifying Evil

nietzsche-warhol

The American left has become the victim of a great brainwashing, whether the ideologues realize it or not. Not only have they been stripped of their moral compass, rendered unable to tell right from wrong, but they are actively seeking destruction under the false pretense that they will liberate themselves and mankind. Instead, their unchecked action will lead to chaos, mass violence, and slavery to the state.

There are three main roots on the left’s shriveled tree of evil, which bears no fruit except immorality, decadence, and economic decay. The first is the Kantian ethic of equality, a categorical imperative that leads its believer to eschew reality for a beloved abstraction. The second is nihilism, described by Friedrich Nietzsche to mean a lack of belief in God, or more broadly, moral standards. The third is Marxism, which deludes its adherents into trading a voluntaristic economic system with individual protections for an authoritarian one with no systemic barriers to arbitrary state control.

Equality has become a fetish for leftists, causing them to overlook biological differences between men and women, adults and children, and even human beings and animals. The result is a degradation of human life, and by extension, sexuality. A prolonged period of such demoralization provides the preconditions for inhumane behavior.

Immorality blurs or obliterates the differences between right and wrong. Nihilism, in its academic form of relativism, and in its bureaucratic guise of pragmatism, removes all moral boundaries to state action.

Marxism is an inversion of moral economy. It twists production to mean theft, and theft to mean justice. It implies men are without agency, and scapegoats a system for individual human behavior, leading to irresponsibility and even entitlement demands on other human beings’ labor by virtue of merely being alive. It leads to enslavement of man to man, and all men chained to the state. It does this by convincing its true believers that if they only yield the state absolute power, someday, somehow, their utopia will come true.

A dominant Marxist website effectively admits as much, commenting on Karl Marx’s view of the state, as compared to Friedrich Engels‘:

On the basis of what facts, then, can the question of the future development of future communism be dealt with?

On the basis of the fact that it has its origin in capitalism, that it develops historically from capitalism, that it is the result of the action of a social force to which capitalism gave birth. There is no trace of an attempt on Marx’s part to make up a utopia, to indulge in idle guess-work about what cannot be known. Marx treated the question of communism in the same way as a naturalist would treat the question of the development of, say, a new biological variety, once he knew that it had originated in such and such a way and was changing in such and such a definite direction.

In other words, socialists are supposed to take on faith that once the economy is wrecked (including all attendant human misery that comes with it), after rioters have taken to the streets in an orgasm of social chaos, and by association, after the state is given complete control over the economy to redistribute wealth, we may see our imagined communist state. Then, as Engels so fantastically put it, the state will wither away.

But a social scientist can only empirically verify the past; and as one can easily can testify, there are no examples of even functional socialist states there. On the contrary, socialist countries are not even close to prosperity or their professed goal of material equality. The only countries that appear at first blush to be socialist while still enjoying high standards of living turn out to be predicated on capitalist systems, accruing considerable foreign trade income or engaging in high deficit spending, or both. These mainly European social welfare states are experiencing a slow demise rather than a shocking implosion.

The most drastic of the socialist regimes of the twentieth century are undeniably the bloodiest and most miserable. If we are to be scientists, as Marx exhorts us to be, let’s examine the facts. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics presided over a deadly and corrupt communist system that slaughtered at least 60 million humans and enslaved tens of millions more in gulags. Maoist China, through its ruthless and inept policies, ushered in the deaths of around 75 million people. The Khmer Rouge of Cambodia was among the most horrific, killing four million out of a nation of seven and a half million through what RJ Rummel describes as “war, rebellion, man-made famine, genocide, politicide, and mass murder.”

Yet the left, for all their feigned worldliness and knowledge about the human condition, ignores both the historical record and elementary political theory. Delivering totalitarian control to the state, for any rationale whatsoever, simply leads to evil; immoral men are drawn to power and use it to entrench their privileged places in society.

A solution has been crafted to untie the Gordian knot of how to preserve power sufficient to maintain domestic tranquility and to protect the country from foreign invasion without accumulating too much centralized control: divided powers as expressed in The Constitution and elaborated upon in Federalist 51. When combined with such precautions as private property and sound currency, the evils a cadre of men can commit is severely limited under such a governmental system. Whether or not good or evil flourishes in the world thus becomes predominately up to us.
