“Look, John’s last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number-one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S, jobs.”

I truly live by my twitter profile: I’m the Anti-BIG-Government, Gun-slinging, God-Loving, Bible-Toting, Conservative, Christian,YOUR LIBERAL-MOMMA warned you about! LIBTARDS STAY AWAY! We learned what Vice President Biden thinks about the Tea Party Republicans.
At a meeting with House Democrats on Monday, Rep. Mike Doyle, D-Pa., reportedly told Biden that “the Tea Party acted like terrorists in threatening to blow up the economy.” The phrase was allegedly used several times. Several sources told website Politico that the Vice President responded, “they have acted like terrorists.”
So now I am a “Christian, Conservative, Tea Party Supporting, Terrorist?” That is fine if you want to include me into a group such as the Tea Party – I am “Taxed Enough Already.” But I wonder what organization I am linked too, since I am a Christian, and a Conservative and a Tea Party Supporter. I am three for three at being one of this administration’s worst nightmares. They have awakened We The People and We are not racist – not violent – We are however just no longer silent.
Some would like you to believe that this nation’s founding fathers weren’t particularly religious men and were especially not Christian. America was founded on Christian values, by many who were of the Christian religion. Of The 56 who signed the Declaration of Independence, most of these signers were Christian. When one considers the backgrounds of these men, it becomes obvious the truth about the religious roots of our founding fathers. I’m not going to look into the backgrounds of all these men but I will a few of them.
- Witherspoon, John (1723-1794), was an ordained minister of the Gospel. He published several books of Gospel sermons and played major roles in two American editions of the Bible, including one from 1791 that is considered America’s first family Bible.
- Charles Thomson(1729-1824), was the Secretary of Congress, and he and John Hancock were the only two to sign the first draft of the Declaration of Independence. Thomson is another founder responsible for an American edition of the Bible. That Bible called – Thomson’s Bible – was the first translation of the Greek Septuagint into English. It took Thomson 25 years to complete his translation, but even today that work is still considered one of the more scholarly American translations of the Bible.
- Benjamin Rush (1746-1813), Many of the founding fathers rated Benjamin Rush right along side George Washington and Benjamin Franklin. He started America’s first Bible society, the Bible society of Philadelphia. Dr. Rush pointed out that with a Bible, every individual could discover how to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ; secondly he argued that if every one owned a Bible – and would study and obey it – that all of our social problems including crime, slavery, etc., would diminish.
- Charles Carroll (1737-1832), died in 1832 at the age of 95, the last of the 56 signers. On his 89th birthday he declared, On the mercy of my Redeemer I rely for salvation, and on his merits; not on the works I have done in obedience to his precepts. Carroll also personally funded a Christian house of worship.
- Richard Stockton (1730-1781), captured by the British and later released, a dying Richard Stockton penned his last will and testament to his children, which became a living testimony to his faith in God. He extolled the greatness of God and his divinity and the completeness of the redemption purchased by Jesus Christ. He encouraged his children to a habitual virtuous life, living by faith. He charged his children to exhibit the fear of God, which he viewed as the beginning of wisdom, and that all occasions of vice and immorality is injurious either immediately or consequently – even in this life.
- Francis Hopkinson (1737-1791), was a church music director, a choir leader, and editor of one of the first hymnals printed in America. He set all 150 psalms to music.
- John Hancock (1737-1793), whose large signature on the Declaration of Independence is now a byword for fidelity, loyalty, courage and commitment. Hancock served as a president of congress during the Revolution and later as governor of Massachusetts. As governor on October 15, 1791, Hancock issued a proclamation for prayer asking especially that universal happiness may be established in the world; and that all may bow to the scepter of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the whole world be filled with his glory. Hancock also issued other proclamations to honor God.
- Samuel Adams (1722 – 1803), has been called the father of the American Revolution. As governor of Massachusetts, he also issued strong proclamations one of which closed with a request to pray that the peaceful and glorious reign of our divine redeemer may be known and enjoyed throughout the whole family of mankind. Adams often repeated such request as in 1797 which asked that the people pray for speedily bringing on that holy and happy period when the kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ may be everywhere established and all the people willingly bow to the scepter of him who is the Prince of Peace.
- George Washington (1732-1799), though not one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence was the military commander and chief during the Revolutionary war. When Great Britain signed the peace treaty ending the Revolutionary war General Washington immediately resigned his commission to return to private life. He then sent a letter to the governors of the 13 states informing them of his resignation closing the letter with a prayer for the states and governors.
“I now make it my earnest prayer that God would have you and the state over which you preside in his holy protection, that he would incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to the government to entertain a brotherly affection and a love for one another, for their fellow citizens of the United States at large and particularly for their brethren who have served in the field, and finally that he would most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy and to demean ourselves with that character, humility, and peaceful temper of the mind which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion without an humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation.”
In closing I want to say this country is in trouble, financially, and with the economy like it is, our “leader” is not a leader of anything – we need to pray for our country. He has proven that beyond a doubt, that not everyone is cut out to be the leader of the greatest nation of this entire world. We need to carefully study who our next president will be. Because if we end up with Obama, or one just like Obama we will be done.

Truth is indeed stranger than fiction. Especially when a Democrat Congressmen shares with the American public exactly why the Democrats are so frustrated with the Tea Party.
Vice President Biden reportedly compared Tea Partiers to terrorists in a private meeting with Democrats. While many other Democrats and media outlets like polico and the New York Times are using the the “Tea Party Terrorist” line, no one expressed the real feeling of liberal Democrats better than Rep. Mike Doyle (D-PA).
“We have negotiated with terrorists,” an angry Doyle said in reference to the Tea Party Republicans according to sources. “This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money.”
For more than 50 years, Congress has been on a spend-fest. F.D.R. started the country on the road to ruin and the velocity has increased drastically during the most-recent Democrat Congress.
The Tea Parties are looking to reverse the trend in an effort to bring the nation back to living within its means. They were elected with the charge of going to Washington and actually changing how Congress behaves. It appears that they’ve done it.
As the saying goes, if you’re not taking any flack, you aren’t over the target – the Tea Party freshmen are clearly over the target – the big spenders in Congress. Those tax-and-spend members of the House and Senate are detecting the end of an era and are lashing out at the Tea Partiers – both Democrats and Republicans are lashing out.
A few weeks ago, John McCain called them “Tea Party Hobbits”. Nancy Pelosi referred to them as “the dark side” in her pre-vote debate remarks and DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Shultz (D-FL) called them extremists in her few minutes of fame on the House floor.
The Tea Parties are a purely fiscally-Conservative set of groups that focus on the size of government and how it spends tax money – your tax money.
If American voters are as frustrated with how Congress conducts its business as polls indicate – If the electorate is tired of not being able to trust Congress to do what it says, isn’t this little independent, grass roots movement the answer? Maybe a little extremism is exactly the medicine Washington D.C. needed.
However, if you have hopes of catching Mr. Vice President in one of his infamous gaffes you will probably be disappointed. His new leap into the digital world will be taken by staff members. The information lists the account as the “Official OVP twitter account”.
Mr. Biden, who is well known for his foot-in-mouth comments, recently said:
Maybe joining the twitter community will teach him how to count, since you are limited to 140 characters. Oh wait! It’s his staff that will be tweeting, not him personally! We will have to come up with another plan to help Mr. Biden learn how to count correctly!
It would be advisable- since it is the staff who will be tweeting from the official account- that Mr. Biden never be given the reigns of such advanced technology. He cannot seem to remember when televisions were invented, as we saw from this quote:
“When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, ‘Look, here’s what happened.”
If you want to follow Mr. Gaffetastic staff tweets, his Twitter ID is @VP.
Mwiza Munthali, public outreach director of TransAfrica Forum, argues that U.S. officials “are not seeing Africa as a big priority. There has been some uncertainty.” The president has made just one trip to sub-Saharan Africa since his Jan. 2009 inauguration and has chosen not to accompany his wife on her journey.
Not devoted enough time to Africa? The last time I looked he was still the President of the United States – not a leader in Africa. I wish that he were a leader of any other country besides the U.S. then I would not care so much about the more than 70 rounds of golf he has played as president. It would be nice if he would devote more of his time to “common sense” solutions to the problems plaguing the United States.
This isn’t the first time the First Lady has come under fire for travel plans. The First Lady raised eyebrows last August when she decided to fly off to Spain on taxpayers dimes, commanding top-dollar luxury accommodations in the middle of a recession. The New York Daily News called her “a modern-day Marie Antoinette.”
On a couple other trips she has been questioned on her international etiquette – in April 2009, she broke royal protocol and hugged Queen Elizabeth, causing a major stir in England. Then in Indonesia last November, Michelle Obama shook the hand of a conservative Muslim minister, a form of social contact between the sexes that violated his religious vows. He blamed the First Lady for the violation.
By the sound of it I really believe she “thinks” she is better than anyone else in the entire world. When the Obama’s travel internationally they are representing the United States, but with her antics I don’t want her representing me. It is sort of like the show “Beverly Hillbillies” when a bunch of poor backwoods people are transplanted to Beverly Hills, California, after striking oil on their land – it just don’t fit.
The First Lady organized another paltry trip to Mexico in April 2010 with Jill Biden. While that trip, too, was aimed primarily on establishing contact with younger civic leaders, some muckrakers called out the First Lady for taking time to travel to a country that’s long been a crucial moment in U.S. immigration policy. Conservative blogger Michelle Malkin, for instance, argued that the trip was little more than an effort to promote “illegal alien shamnesty.”
Expectations for American engagement with Africa soared when Obama took office, with advocates citing his previous travels to his father’s homeland of Kenya and attention paid to African nations while he was a senator. But while Obama has talked about his “family members who live in villages” and told an Africa-focused Web site that he is “probably as knowledgeable about African history as anybody who’s occupied my office,” he has made just one presidential visit to sub-Saharan Africa.
Maybe we can get Obama to move back “home” to South-Africa and he can “lead” in that country – as he is about done leading this country in the WRONG direction. Now that is something I would promote for him and vote for him on. Sorry Obama I am just trying to help you out – help you right out of my White House!
What is wrong with this picture?
White House spin: Jay Carney said earlier in the week that the outing was “meant to be an opportunity for the speaker and the president, as well as the vice president and Ohio governor, to have a conversation, to socialize in a way that so rarely happens in Washington.”(1) BULLSH*T!
Clue: It occurred on the eve of the Obama administration having violated The War Powers Act(2). The War Powers Act of 1973 requires either a President to seek the authorization of Congress or for there to be “a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces” for a President to use armed forces in foreign lands. The intention of the law was to create a check, by codified law, on the power of any US President to use armed forces without the consent of Congress.
That law merely endorses what our Constitution already says in Article I, Section 8, which speaks to enumerated powers of the Legislative Branch, wherein the general power…”To declare War,…” is noted. The War Powers Act merely codifies to law stringent limitations upon the Executive Branch, so a President does not have the right to commit forces to a military venture in foreign lands for an open-ended period of time without congressional approval.
Obama has done just what he and his demonRATic brethren accused his predecessor of having done. He ignored those limitations imposed by law and knowing he’ll come under fire for such has reached out to Boehner to seduce the leader of the one congressional house NOT willing to do his bidding and for which his party doesn’t have control. This is what may be called The Arrogance of Power and precisely why the founders set up OUR Constitution with a Separation of Powers and Checks and Balances provisions built in. They understood the wisdom of the adage that “Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely”. All presidents have that tendency to want to dominate and accrue great power to themselves. Nixon vetoed that original bill. That bill (actually a resolution) is in fact now a law. A violation of law most certainly, by precedent, rises to the level of “high crimes and misdemeanors” as an impeachable offense under our Constitution(3).
When a sitting President, who just happens to be in violation of The Rule of Law, gets his Vice-President and sets up a golf outing with two of the most influential members of his opposition party away from the influences of others of their party it isn’t intended to be a political epiphany of the joyous embracing of non-partisanship to get the budgetary stalemate broken. Unless, of course, your view of American political history is a reflection of Alice’s Wonderland.
I have this date sent off a message to House Majority Leader Boehner to make the obvious point about his recent golfing date and DEMANDED he fulfill his legal and constitutional responsibilities and NOT assume the position of butt-boy enabler for this President.

It’s hard to believe that there are still 22% of the nation’s voters that Strongly Approve of the way that Obama is performing his role as president. How could someone “strongly approve” of what Obama is doing? Forty percent strongly disapprove of the job Obama is doing – I am one of them.
Obama’s stimulus plan failed miserably. It was supposed to create three million jobs, but the economy has lost 2.5 million jobs. The unemployment rate recently rose to 9.1 percent and 36% of working age Americans aren’t currently in the workforce. The New York Times said it best “This is not what a recovery is supposed to look like.” According to a newsletter I received – “replacing the jobs lost throughout this recession could take another nine years.”
Each day it seems I read something from Ray LaHood or Joe Biden – Obama’s two main crony’s – that says they are creating jobs and they really know how to do it. But, sadly the millions of people that have lost their jobs don’t think so. The question I have is where are these jobs? I have kept up with the job market even after “retiring” I know it is bad. The evidence of all these jobs lost suggest that this Administration is off target and moving in the wrong direction.
A major overhaul is needed in the current administration because we don’t need any more borrowing, or bailouts, or government spending, and mandates and taxes. This administration needs to set its eyes on small businesses. That’s where most of the private sector jobs come from – or use to. Another newsletter stated “Congress needs to move forward with policies that encourage entrepreneurship, cultivate innovation, reward hard work and empower the American people to lead us toward prosperity.”
This country was founded by people willing to undertake a risk on their ideas of starting a business. We need to go back to this way of thinking. The problem is that these people in small businesses are afraid of the predictions of the future. Increases in taxes are what is stopping them from hiring, or even starting their new business or even expanding an existing business. Obama’s ad campaign of “change” worked once, but it’s time for a much needed change again.
It’s time for Americans to take a stand – and take back America from the Obama’s who have stolen her, and are in the process of destroying her. She needs us now more than ever, we must not fail, we must prevail in our attempts to remove “King Obama” from his dominion in 2012.
Obama has labored to deliver on the pledge that he made while campaigning – change. He pushed a controversial stimulus bill through Congress to help rev up the economy – in which it didn’t, he then turned Bush’s reluctant bailout of Chrysler and General Motors into a giant government auto buyout – again he failed and appointed a record number of “czars” to help regulate bureaucracies in both public and formerly private sectors – another ultimate failure.
We must keep bringing up the failures that Obama has had. If we don’t and people forget all the things he has done – then he might get re-elected. And that is something we DO NOT need!
The White House has mostly kept its internal turmoil under wraps in recent weeks but the lid is starting to come off the pressure cooker that is boiling at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
It is another sign that Obama has lost control not only of the public narrative but that of his inner circle as well. It is common for senior political appointees at the White House to stay for at least until the end of the president’s first term in office. There is usually a natural turnover at the end of the first term. Old hands fade back into the woodwork and new blood is brought in to kick-start the administration’s second term. However that is not the case in the Obama Administration. Indicative of a sinking ship, the rats are fleeing the ship as fast as the can – some voluntarily and others not so willingly. The mass exodus is well underway as evidenced by the following:
- Larry Summers, the Director of the National Economic Council has announced his resignation, which will take effect following the midterm elections.
- Christina Romer, who was Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors resigned back in September of 2010.
- Retired Admiral Dennis Blain, the former Director of National Intelligence, resigned in May 2010.
- Peter Orszag resigned in June, 2010. He was the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). It is likely he felt pressure early on as he learned that the Democrats in Congress had no intention of even passing a budget for the current fiscal year.
- Greg Craig, the White House Counsel, was forced to resign nearly a year ago, in November of 2009.
- David Ogden, Deputy Attorney General, resigned in February, 2010.
- Mark Lippert, a Deputy National Security Advisor, left the White House in October 2009. A member of the United States Navy Reserve, he chose to move to Active Duty status. This is a telling move because Lippert was particularly close to President Barack Obama as evidenced by the fact that he was a regular pick-up basketball player with Obama during the course of his presidential campaign.
- Van Jones, Special Advisor for Green Jobs, resigned in September, 2009 after Fox News commentator Glenn Beck skewered Jones for his ties to radical leftists and leftist organizations.
- Ellen Moran, White House Communications Director, left in April 2009. She started it all off in the resignations game since she lasted barely three months on the job.
- Retired General James Jones, the National Security Advisor, resigned on October 8, 2010. There is ample evidence that he was forced out of his position.
- Rahm Emanual, Chief of Staff. Emanual held the most powerful position in the White House, but it wasn’t enough to save him. There is evidence that he was forced out by Michelle Obama and Valerie Jarrett.
- David Axelrod has announced that he will leave the White House early in 2011, ostensibly to return to Chicago and work on Obama’s re-election campaign.
- Robert Gibbs – White House Press Secretary may very well be on the short list. There are rumors circulating within the Washington D.C. elite circles that Gibbs has been told to look for another job.
The Wayne Madsen Report, (WMR) a political operation in the spirit of the legendary Jack Anderson’s Merry-Go-Round, reported two months ago that Obama is under extreme pressure from many heavy-hitting Democratic financial donors, to change his economic policies or else they will withhold future funding in the next presidential election – choosing instead to back a different candidate – presumably Hillary Clinton.
“Informed sources in Washington, DC have told WMR that President Obama has been personally told by a delegation of top Democratic Party financiers that unless he radically changes his economic policies they will bolt from him for another Democratic candidate in 2012. The Democratic money moguls conveyed the warning to Obama in Martha’s Vineyard, where the president and his family are spending their vacation. There are various factions within the Democratic Party that see different scenarios to bail out what many Democrats see as an administration in deep trouble with the electorate. One would have Secretary of State Hillary Clinton move up to replace Vice President Joe Biden on the 2012 ticket with Senator John Kerry becoming Secretary of State. However, WMR has been told that Clinton personally loathes Obama and his chief of staff Rahm Emanuel and may not want to be part of the 2012 president ticket playing second fiddle to Obama. WMR has also learned that Obama’s reported ‘severe narcissism’ has a number of his cabinet officials and top Democratic fundraisers perplexed. Obama’s refusal to change course because of his ego was discussed at the recent annual Bohemian Grove conclave in northern California, which brings together influential businessmen and politicians from both parties. Top U.S. business leaders openly complained about Obama’s economic policies, with some stating that Obama is, for the business community, the worst president in anyone’s lifetime. They also complained about White House gatekeepers like Emanuel and policy advisers Valerie Jarrett and David Axelrod who are preventing access to the Oval Office.” – Wayne Madsen Report
This development has got to be exerting great pressure on Obama since he is a fanatical ideologue in terms of the economy – religiously adhering to Keynesian economic theory that decrees economic growth comes only through increased spending. It appears that these large Democratic financiers, though also ideologically to the left, are also pragmatic businessmen. It could be that they clearly see the effect that Obama’s economic policies are having on (1) their own bottom line, and (2) the public’s reaction to Obama’s destructive policies, which is going to manifest itself on November 2 in the midterm elections. If predictions of the Tea Party’s tsunami come true, the power of the behind-the-scenes Democratic financiers could be severely curtailed.
WMR is also reporting that Obama has chosen to ignore the demands of the aforementioned financiers who represent the leftist money machine. That is why we see Obama stubbornly pressing full ahead with his redistributive agenda, including both proposed legislation and anticipated Executive Orders which will further damage the economy. Obama has even let it be known to the Republicans that if they take one or even both chambers of Congress that they, the GOP, will be forced to deal with him. Obama blithely ignores the fact that the GOP will be perfectly happy to play a stalling game – preventing any more of Obama’s Marxist agenda to be passed through Congress while simultaneously preparing Obama’s downfall in the 2012 elections. The Republicans are perfectly aware that Obama would veto any legislation they attempt to pass that would curtail or repeal his signature achievements. Therefore, they are already planning a repeat of the midterms of 2010 in 2012. Due to the nature of the Senate, with only 1/3 of the senators up for election in any given election cycle, the Republicans are already calculating that it will take at least two election cycles to fully regain control. Furthermore, the Republications are calculating that the public also realizes this fact. Therefore, they are expected to trumpet their firewall against any further Obama legislation, willing to endure the darts and arrows from the mainstream media who will surely label them as obstructionists.
Speaking of the media, the Obama White House, according to WMR, is seeking revenge for media criticism.
WMR has also learned that rather than change course, the White House staff, who is keenly reading anything that is critical of the president, are more interested in exacting revenge for criticism than in changing course. ‘The White House staff are voracious readers who are obsessed with favorable coverage,’ one source said. – WMR
If that be the case, the White House public relations flacks, led by Axelrod, must be up in arms over the recent firing of Juan Williams from National Public Radio (NPR).
Convinced that they did the right thing to muzzle Williams, who is also a liberal, the executives of NPR and their bosses in the White House, have got to be beside themselves with the news that Williams has just signed a contract with Fox News. In effect, the White House flacks have done nothing but shoot themselves in the foot – having given Williams a much bigger platform from which to criticize the Obama Administration. This will have the effect of furthering the political infighting within the White House as the buck gets passed, people run for cover, and Obama is left, once again, with trying to find a scapegoat.
With the swift removal of Emanual, the Crisis Management team in the White House, i.e., Obama’s inner circle, now consists of Michelle Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Axelrod (though his influence is on the wane), and Vice President Joe Biden’s circle of Thomas E. Donilon (the incoming National Security Advisor) and Peter M. Rouse, the interim White House Chief of Staff. But given the news report from WMR that Obama now considers Biden to be a rival, this inner circle, with members already divided into two camps: (1) The Obama Camp – Michelle Obama, Valerie Jarrett and Axelrod, and (2) The Biden Camp – Biden, Rouse, and Donilon – is already set up for some viscous infighting.
And then there’s the Joker in this political house of Cards. Hillary Clinton is patiently sitting on the sidelines, enjoying the destruction of the man who denied her the presidency.
She is dangling the possibility that she might oppose Obama in the 2012 Democratic primaries. And she is well-positioned to do just that. She would be the beneficiary of those redirected campaign funds that have been threatened to be removed from Obama’s stash of cash. She has remained virtually silent on Obama’s major agenda items – leaving her open to fashion popular campaign planks once the chips fall on November 2nd. It very well could be that once the midterms are history Hillary Clinton will consider all of the chips to have fallen and thus Obama’s buffalo to be empty. If Hillary Clinton is going to make another run at the presidency, she is going to have to make her move early next year. So she has from November 3, 2010 (when the results of the midterms are known) until about the February to April of 2011 timeframe to make the announcement. Expect Hillary Clinton to continue to torment Obama with the uncertainty of her intentions. Obama, it has been reported, attempted to short-circuit any such primary challenge by Hillary Clinton by offering to dump Biden and ask her to join him on his 2012 ticket as the Vice Presidential candidate. Reportedly, Hillary Clinton has already declined that invitation. This move on the part of Clinton will have to be tormenting Obama because it is a pretty good sign that Hillary intends to oppose him in the Democratic primaries of 2012. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Joe Biden has got to be feeling rather bitter since Obama chose to throw him under the bus in favor of Hillary Clinton.
Newsflavor.com reported earlier this month that Obama did indeed offer Hillary the Vice Presidency.
In an attempt to deal with increasing concerns over a possible Hillary Clinton run for President in 2012, the Obama White House has quietly made overtures to Clinton to replace Joe Biden as Obama’s Vice President:
There has been speculation of just such a deal for some time now. The speculation has proved to be accurate. The Obama White House is very concerned with the possibility of Hillary Clinton seeking the nomination in 2012. Very-very concerned, and for good reason. Democratic Party supporters – I’m talking some very deep pockets and very considerable influence, have been engaging in some speculative chatter of that nature for a while. When that happens, it’s a warning shot at the White House that says to them you better get things back on track or we are going to try and replace you. And Hillary Clinton has done nothing to diminish that chatter. The opposite in fact. She is considering the possibility herself. – Newsflavor.com
In typical Clinton fashion, Hillary outmaneuvered Obama on this issue. The combination of Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton is an extremely powerful combination in liberal political circles. It appears that the Clintons have determined not to tie themselves closer to what they perceive as damaged goods. Hillary has somewhat of an albatross around her neck since she is the Secretary of State in Obama’s Administration. But she has done a very good job of distancing herself from Obama simply through her inaction and her silence.
The progressives are about to have their Come-To-Gaia moment on the morning of November 3, 2010. There isn’t going to be any more guessing about Obama’s coat-tails. Obama’s weaknesses will be all too visible to both professional politicians and the public alike. And members of the public are waking up to that fact. One reader, commenting on a Mediaite story concerning Obama floating the possibility of Hillary Clinton joining his ticket, said:
“After the November election, the Left won’t be able to remain in denial. They will start exploring alternatives to Obama in 2012. Obama’s smartest move would be to try to create a real alliance with Hilary Clinton. But as even Woodward has admitted, Obama and Clinton are not on the same page, and she is not one of his trusted advisers. So this would be a move of pure political expediency. And probably not enough to save an administration that the vast majority of Americans now see as incompetent and extremist.” – felixw
All of these factors are intertwined into the maelstrom that is the Obama White House. Alliances are being sought; supposed friends are being stabbed in the back (i.e., Biden vs. Obama); and lone wolves are circling Obama, looking for a weakness and an opportunity to strike. And there are plenty of lone wolves. One of them is Nancy Pelosi. Rumor has it that White House staffers asked Pelosi, to her face, to keep quiet until after the midterm elections were over. She was apparently told that she was a political liability. Pelosi apparently complied for a matter of weeks since she generally disappeared from view. But recently, with it becoming increasingly apparent that she would face a fight for the Speakership on the House floor in the event the Democrats retained control of the House, Pelosi has become vocal once again. Pelosi is in a battle for her own political survival and apparently she considers Obama to be a liability – just as he apparently considers her to be the same. It has been said that there is no honor among thieves – and Pelosi vs. Obama vs. Biden vs. Clinton, vs. Axelrod vs. Jarrett, vs. Michelle Obama is evidence that this contention could very well be true. The infighting is growing. It is spilling out into public view. Hangers-on are being pressured to take sides – which makes for a perilous choice for assorted low-ranking Democratic members of the House, political consultants, and members of the professional left.
Pelosi has indeed become a political liability for the Democrats, as evidenced by the liberal Guardian newspaper story out of Great Britain earlier this week:
“Republicans have put Pelosi front and centre of their campaign, trying to turn her into a rallying cry and a hate figure. Michael Steele, chairman of the Republican National Committee, is on a “Fire Pelosi Bus” that is touring the country from coast to coast. Pelosi has been used in Republicans attack adverts in an incredible 47 different congressional seats, most of them many miles away from San Francisco. She has been portrayed as extreme, out-of-touch and elitist; a sort of uncaring liberal ogre forcing unwanted legislation down the throats of ordinary Americans. “She is the featured devil this year,” said Republican pollster and political consultant Adam Probolsky “She is solid in her hometown, but outside of that it is a very different picture.”
“That is Pelosi’s problem in a nutshell. Her home district voted 85 per cent for Barack Obama in 2008. Pelosi herself romped home in her last election with 72 per cent of the vote. But that will not matter if the Democrats lose the House. She will be ousted as Speaker, after being hailed only four years ago as the most powerful woman in American politics. If that happens, it will be a spectacularly swift fall from political grace. “Her career will be over. At that point she will have no political future,” said Jack Pitney, a politics professor at Claremont McKenna College in Los Angeles.” – Paul Harris
So Pelosi has no choice but to return to the stump. It is do or die for Pelosi. But Pelosi is between a rock and a hard place.
Told by Obama to shut up, she has ignored his command and is pressing forward, regardless. So even if she wins her fight to retain the Speakership of the House of Representatives, she has strained, if not outright broken her relationship with Obama and his cohorts within the White House.
The infighting within the inner circle of the White House, the Democratic leadership in the House of Representatives, and with various party hacks and financiers, threatens to completely unravel what is left of the Obama Administration. Less than two years ago Obama was cheered on as the new Messiah, come to save the planet. Oh, how the mighty have fallen – and they can’t get up. Allowed to run amok with the Republican Party in no position to rein in the revolutionary element of the Democratic Party – the Democrats have totally imploded – in a manner kind of like inserting a straw into a pile of JELL-O© and sucking. The JELL-O© implodes upon itself, quivering from the internal pressure until it collapses and disappears into the straw – never to be seen from again. Such is the fate of the Democrats in general and the White House in particular. The American voters have shoved in the straw, guided by the massive Tea Party rebellion. Every poll showing the Democrats losing ground in the resurgent conservative tsunami is tantamount to another suck on the straw. White House staff is getting sucked up through firings and resignations. Wolves such as Clinton are circling the bowl, waiting to lick up whatever quivering bits remain behind. And there, at the bottom of the bowl, are the midterm elections.
The Democrats are also kind of like a football team. Less than two years ago the Democrats won the political Super Bowl. They reigned supreme over the universe. Winning does that to a team. But so does losing. Now the Democrats can’t get a first down. Coaches are being fired. Players are on the chopping block. Everyone is looking for a scapegoat. The fans are depressed. Advertising revenue is way down. The momentum is with the other team. Dissension is destroying the team from within itself.
The game is almost over, White House Democrats. The rats are abandoning the ship.
Tea minus 11 and counting.
Every one of the progressive leadership is running around making excuses for the “avalanche”, as George Soros put it, of inevitable Conservative wins. Bill Clinton was out campaigning for Harry Reid and had this to say about it:
“You and I know the only reason this is a tough race is because people are having a tough time,” Clinton said. “When people are mad, it’s time to think.”
So people are mad and now have started to think .. and because of that the former President surmises that Reid is losing. Well, that much I agree with, but weren’t we thinking before? Or did he mean that by electing Obama we weren’t thinking. I still can’t read this guy, but I’m sure we’ll receive a definition of “thinking” shortly.
Obama is starting to do some self-examination as a possible cause. Now, so close to the mid-terms, he’s admitting all sorts of mental errors in a Times Magazine interview where he said that he was
..too much like “the same old tax-and-spend Democrat,” realized too late that “there’s no such thing as shovel-ready projects” and perhaps should have “let the Republicans insist on the tax cuts” in the stimulus.
Suddenly he’s remorseful for having taken us from recession to near-depression? For goading Congress into spending more than any President in history – and producing no positive results? For deciding to raise taxes in terrible economic times? Now he’s second-guessing his craptastic leadership? Well, for the last one of his concerns, he’ll see those tax cuts back on his desk, let’s see just how sorry he is.
Maybe I have it wrong and the Dems really are starting to figure out that we’re pretty bright folks and we might have been right all along. If that’s the case, then I really don’t get this explanation of why Democrats aren’t running on all the stuff that Obama seems now to be apologetic about.
Democrats aren’t running on the administration’s accomplishments like health-care and financial-regulatory overhaul and the stimulus because “it’s just too hard to explain,” Biden said.
Ah, we’re not smart enough to understand it. Biden’s echoing of Pelosi’s sentiment that only the elites in D.C. know what’s good for us is ludicrous and insulting. Insulting the electorate is not the way to go “Big F’Ing deal”-boy.
If Democrats are really soul-searching as to why they are going to lose big in the mid-terms, they have only to look at the men and women in the mirror. They pushed the worst possible set of changes to the American health care system, they have held the spending controls in Congress since 2007, they have been pushing the largest tax increase in history, they pushed the idiotic, non-productive stimulus bill, etc. Using the “party of no” argument against the GOP is not working. If the party of no had prevented progressives from achieving anything, why do they have this huge list of failing “accomplishments” for which they are now making excuses.
This one is all on the far-left fringe. They pulled their party to the left, the car fully in drive, with no regard to the cliff ahead. Lean forward.. we’ll give you a “nudge”.

Political hacks have been making much out of Christine O’Donnell’s young adult activities. I finally ran across a post at the American Spectator that digs into what her Democrat opponent, Chris Coons, was doing in his young adult life.
Answer? He was in Africa volunteering for the South African Council of Churches, a group that holds to the self-same Black Liberation Theology philosophy preached by James Cone and Jeremiah Wright. The philosophy that has at its core the principles of “Marxism dressed up as Christianity.” The philosophy that is at the very heart of the Obama administration and its actions since taking office two years ago.
The philosophy that Coons will undoubtedly all-too-eagerly represent if he is elected as an Obama Democrat to the seat once held by Obama Vice President Joe Biden of Delaware.
David Weigel over at the liberal Slate is not alone in noting:
But check out Coons’ message! In a Democratic state, he does not mention that he is a Democrat. We learn that he balanced the budget, cut spending, and cut his salary. That’s what Jim DeMint would do if we gave him New Castle County, isn’t it?
Chris Coons can’t even bring himself to mention he’s a Democrat in supposedly Blue State Delaware. So how exactly would the realization that he went out of his way to support a group advocating liberation theology be received in Delaware? And a liberal columnist is — really — trying to compare him to South Carolina’s conservative Republican Senator Jim DeMint?
Do you think Jim DeMint would have volunteered to go to Africa in his twenties and volunteer for a group selling liberation theology — “Marxism dressed up as Christianity”?
Of course not.
It is exactly the same socialist vision of wealth redistribution preached by Jeremiah Wright in Barack Obama’s Trinity Church for twenty years while the future president sat in those pews. It is exactly the vision behind the policy and personnel of the Obama administration — from Van Jones the now-departed self-described Communist and White House Green Jobs czar to Mark Lloyd the Hugo Chavez-admiring FCC diversity czar to Anita Dunn the Mao-quoting ex-White House aide to Ron Bloom the SEIU negotiator turned “manufacturing czar” to Carol Browner, a leader in the climate-change division of the “Socialist International” turned Obama global warming czar to the nationalized health care admiring Medicare administrator Donald Berwick to the social justice-promoting consumer activist Elizabeth Warren and on and on — right into the Oval Office and President Barack Obama himself.
And if that wasn’t enough, here is the same apologetic, Marxist garbage coming from Coons as we get from Obama all too regularly.
Perhaps more should be seen in Coons’ statement that his experiences in Africa “warned me that my own favorite beliefs in the miracles of free enterprise and the boundless opportunities to be had in America were largely untrue.”
Snake. Grass. The End.
