“What I will say is that this is not the president’s idealized budget,” said Carney,  “It is not what he would do if he were king, or if only people who supported his proposals were in Congress.

Have we ever had a president who more wished to be king instead of having to deal with those pesky other equal but separate, branches of government?

NYT: CNN on Thursday said it had hired Jake Tapper, the senior White House correspondent for ABC News, amid talk of new programming for the cable news channel.

Mr. Tapper, widely seen as one of the most aggressive reporters in the nation’s capital, will anchor an afternoon program for the channel and will be its chief Washington correspondent. The new program will start sometime next year.

Just this week Jake Tapper pressed both the president and the press secretary for clear answers to recent issues. One can only hope this style of hard hitting journalism is a signal of improvement for the flailing news channel.

December 19: Jake Tapper blasted Barack Obama today at his press conference announcing a new gun control committee. Tapper pointed out that this wasn’t the first mass slaughter under his watch, “Where’ve you been?” Watch a clearly irritated president respond.

Anyone remotely following the Benghazi attacks and murder of four Americans, all remember the whole YouTube video “excuse” and the fallout from said “excuse”.   We were told by Jay Carney, Press Secretary, and President Obama on September 12th, that this was a “spontaneous” protest (over the YouTube video) that erupted into a deadly attack.   We heard “official” condemnations of this disgusting video. We all saw the Cerritos, Calfornia “movie maker” hauled away at 1:30am for interrogations.   We heard Susan Rice on September 16th, as she made the rounds to the “Sunday” shows, citing the video. And we heard all of them–Obama, Clinton, Carney and Rice state “there was no intelligence that could have prevented such an attack” and that this was “no act of terror”.   So much for story time.

We now know, the following, from an official Congressional hearing held today, October 10, 2012 that,  in the last 13 months there has been 230 attacks in and around Benghazi.   One on June 6, 2012, was an IED that blasted a hole in the Benghazi consulate wall that “40 men could walk through.”   Around this time our officials on the ground begin to “sound the alarm” back to the State Department. Eric Nordstrom, who is the former security officer in Tripoli, asked twice for more security to be sent.   Charlene Lamb, a State Department official’s response was they “wanted to keep the number of U.S. security personnel in Benghazi “artificially low.”

On September 18th, CNN went to Benghazi, and found Ambassador Steven’s diary, which entries state he felt “threatened and unsafe”.   The facts, the “real” facts started to come out and the “fairy tale” we were told began to unravel. There were NO protests in Benghazi.   In the diary, Stevens relates to being outside at 8:30pm saying goodbye to a Turkish official, the street was quiet, yet a hour later at 9:40pm, Steven’s would be in a fight for his life.   A fight that included being sodomized and tortured.

September 21st, Hillary Clinton finally says “its a terror attack”, although on the same day the 21st, Obama is still on story line #1, its a mob act of protest turned into murder.   September 26th, the YouTube movie maker is hauled away, for check fraud, and I have “intell” from the Sheriff’s Department’s substation in Cerritos, California, about this arrest.   The “word” came from the FBI, that they wanted an “arrest” made of this man, who was “highly dangerous” and that SWAT was needed.   Insider from the LA County Sheriff’s Department, who requested to remain “anonymous” said he took part in the raid, and that the Captain and higher ups were not impressed with arresting this man for “check fraud” and then having to hand him over to the FBI.   ”Something just didn’t smell right” he said, “this man had a shady background in check fraud but to arrest him on the fraud charges when we all knew it was due to his involvement in this YouTube video, well, something seemed wrong“.     He went on ”Then the FBI “rambo” in, say he is “highly dangerous”, I mean c’mon, the guy pissed his pants when he saw SWAT and a small army outside his house”.

So they had their “Patsy“.   Except, that didn’t fly. On October 2, Nordstrom comes forward, and it all falls apart.   The questions not answered are these, “why the YouTube video excuse?” Who decided that would be the “story” and what did they have to gain from this story?   Why did they, as Susan Lamb says, want to keep the “numbers artificially low” and what does “artificially mean?”

Many wondered “why did they send out Rice?”   I think my friend, and notable blogger Lisa Graas may have the answer.   From her September 17th post :

In December, 2011, Ambassador Rice signed on with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to adopt a U.N. Resolution on “religious intolerance” that had been receiving dwindling support in previous attempts to pass it.   It is the intention of this administration to side with the Muslim world that “blasphemy” against Islam should be actively discouraged by our government even to the point of considering American citizens who exercise freedom of speech as criminals.

We know, the State Department is not behind the “YouTube video” story, so that leaves the Obama Administration, someone in that brain trust, Valerie Jarrett, Susan Rice, David Axelrod— someone decided to “go with this”,  never leaving a good crisis to waste!    And, this plays perfectly into Rice’s actions back in December 2011, to in essence create a “blasphemy” law, that YouTube story really plays quite nicely into the whole “fiction” we have been told!   Bravo Obama et al, but, you had me at “YouTube”, and I wasn’t buying that, no three year old would buy that line.

Let me be clear.   This is no Watergate.   This is murder.   This is an Institutional “cover-up” with accessory to murder.   I wonder, I wonder what Ambassador Steven’s thoughts were while he was being dragged out to be sodomized and tortured?   I highly doubt, as Democratic Congressmen have insinuated during the hearing, that he was excited about the “Revolution” and the “Arab Spring“.

And that brings me to Mr. Jay Carney. Today he stated

“its just a fact, that the President has fought for, and put forward funding for our diplomatic personnel and Embassy’s around the world, and “others” have had their budget priorities, to reduce that funding by way of tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires…that’s just a fact.”

Really Carney?   Did you really say that malarkey?   You, who say Romney was “politicizing” the Benghazi attacks?   Carney you Sir, are a liar, plain and simple, and by the way, you are not a very good one.   There are four dead Americans, and we deserve so much more,  they deserve so much more than this travesty of bumblers and liars.   This was murder.   And the FBI spent a whole 3 hours on the ground in Benghazi, a whole 3 hours of “investigating” just last week, as Obama’s commitment to “finding the perpetrators and bringing them to justice“.

I think we have a good idea of who is ultimately responsible for these murders of our American Ambassador and Navy Seals, and you don’t need to go to Benghazi to find them.

And now we’re down to trying to figure out who knew what, and when. For now, it’s become clear that the administration knew from day one that this was a terrorist attack. It had nothing to do with the video that slandered Islam. In the coming months, it wouldn’t be surprising to find out that none of the attacks on Western embassies in the Middle East and North Africa had anything to do with that film. But, beyond all of that, the fact that the administration has admitted fairly quickly that they knew from the beginning the true nature of the attack in Benghazi is unsettling. It was not a situation where the press was exerting any great pressure on them about the situation – they were taking the story they were being spoon fed with the noted exceptions of FoxNews, and a few foreign press agencies. While I’m not generally a conspiracy theorist, this definitely causes me to think there’s something more to this whole story.

While the administration has been very quick to point out what a great man Ambassador Stevens was – that’s to be expected – the fact that he was assigned to Libya is a little puzzling. It’s become clear over the past couple weeks that Libya was far less stable than the administration was leading people to believe – and they knew it. Stevens specialized in the Middle East and North Africa, and admittedly, there were other far more stable outposts in the region where he could have been assigned. I suggest this right now because of one glaring fact – Stevens was openly gay. Given the level of hatred and intolerance seen exerted against gays in Islamist nations, the last place any responsible member of the administration should want to place an openly gay diplomat is one where there is even a hint of radical Islamic activity. Either the administration is entirely incompetent, or someone really didn’t care about the safety of Stevens at all when choosing his assignment. Of course, these are issues that may or may not have been addressed in that journal the administration didn’t want CNN reporting about – and apparently didn’t want to read themselves.

There is no proof apparent of what I’ve suggested above. It is merely an observation, based on the few facts available right now – call it an exercise in basic logic. And perhaps it is a suggestion to the few people out there that are really interested in finding out the truth about this attack. Beyond searching for information on the radicals in Libya, another priority should be investigating what was really going on in the administration before the attack. Did Stevens have any enemies in the administration? Were there any under-the-table deals going on between the administration and Islamist organizations on the ground in Libya? Is there really a credible connection to al-Qaeda, or is it merely a matter of a single man with previous associations with that organization having a hand in the planning? And, like any other questionable situation in the Federal Government, how high does it really go? That last one is very important, primarily because Obama detractors have a horrible habit of giving him far too much credit when it comes to just about everything. Bluntly, he’s too much of an amateur in foreign policy, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa, to personally manage being puppetmaster on something like this. The Islam apologist policies he follows are really his undoing in the region – radical Muslims respect him less than the right-wing in the U.S. does because of it. The bottom line is that we are nowhere near the end of this one, if there is even one person determined to stay the course, and figure out exactly what happened. And it will be interesting to see what the truth really is.

Internal government emails have been obtained that show the U.S. Treasury Department, run by Timothy Geithner, was behind those termininations.  All 20,000 of the pensions seem to have been ended strictly for the reason that those retirees did not belong to labor unions.

Perhaps the National Labor Relations Board was too busy preparing to harass another private sector company planning to hire non-union workers to get involved.

Meanwhile, Attorney General Eric Holder has yet to file any criminal charges against top Wall Street bankers with connections inside the Department of Justice or who had made political donations to the 2008 presidential campaign of the current White House occupant.

Over the years, both the Oval Office and Holder have talked tough, aggressively attacking big fat cat bankers, blaming their reckless speculation for the 2008 financial collapse.  The Government Accountability Institute has found that Holder still has not “filed a single criminal charge against any top executive of an elite financial institution.”

Overseas, Iran has vowed it will not allow Assad to fall in Syria.

“Iran will never allow the resistance axis – of which Syria is an essential pillar – to break,” said Saeed Jalili, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council secretary.  The “axis of resistance” includes Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas, all of which are anti-Western and openly hostile towards Israel and the United States.

Assad reassured Jalili by saying: “The Syrian people and their government are determined to purge the country of terrorists and to fight the terrorists without respite.”

If Assad is overthrown, Iran will lose influence over Syria and a crucial link to Hezbollah.

Could it be that Muslim Brotherhood influence over the White House has surreptitiously led to policies that support the creation of a regional Caliphate?  What other way is there to logically explain policies that support rebellions to overthrow some Middle Eastern dictators, but not support rebellions hostile to the Iranian regime or its allies?

With so much baggage for the White House to carry through the campaign, their “Priorities” are to have their “progressive” allies run misleading ads that attempt to tie Mitt Romney to death.

Priorities USA Action, a super PAC supporting the Oval Office is running a new ad that blames Mitt Romney for a family losing health insurance which contributed to a woman dying from cancer.

It apparently makes no difference to the “progressive” super PAC that Romney left Bain Capital years before the GST Steel bankruptcy in 2001.  In addition, the cancer casualty Ranae Soptic died in 2006, long after the GST plant had been closed.

Press Secretary Jay Carney reminded reporters to “be mindful of your sources” when asked about the Petraeus rumor.  “I can say with absolute confidence, such an assertion has never been uttered by the president.  And again be mindful of your sources” said Carney.

I’ll take Capitals for $500, Alex.

The capitol of France: Paris. The capital of Russia: Moscow. Of Belarus… oh, that’s a tougher one. But it’s Minsk. Everyone knows and everyone agrees. The country gets to pick its capital.

I can’t choose another city to be the capital of Germany, even though they were a divided country for years. It is still the decision of the citizens of the country.

But what about Israel? The Jewish people have chosen Jerusalem as their capital. But the Palestinians (a terrorist group without a state) argue that Jerusalem is theirs. The United Nations, in its naive desire for smooth sailing, would like to see Jerusalem become an international city. But in 2008 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that “Jerusalem belongs to the Jewish people and will remain under Israeli sovereignty for eternity.”

Candidate Obama, in 2008, seemed to be in agreement with Netanyahu:

But President Obama,wanting to be friends with all, choose to sit on the sidelines. In 2011, the administration was caught scrubbing all references of Jerusalem being part of Israel from its website.

It’s now 2012 and again Candidate Obama might have to answer this question. As he ponders it he should probably talk to Press Secretary Jay Carney, who did not appear comfortable being put on the spot. White House spokesman Jay Carney refused to directly say which city is the capital of Israel during a press briefing Thursday, saying only “our position has not changed.”

The election is just 100 days away. People who believe in the right of Israel to have and keep their capital should remember that this administration is not necessarily on their side. This election will be important for the USA but also for the country of the only democratic ally in the Mid East, Israel.

The White House remains in support of Holder. The official word from press secretary Jay Carney is that “there is no need for a special counsel. These things have consistently been investigated when that’s appropriate”.

Holder’s troubles are not isolated to the national security leaks investigation. Holder is also under legal attack for the failed Fast and Furious firearms fiasco. Despite Holder’s possibly facing contempt of Congress charges next week, Carney relayed the “absolute confidence” the White House still has in Holder.

This “no special prosecutor” position stands in stark contrast to the position held by then Senators obama and Biden when it came to investigating the Iraq war policy. Or when it came to calling for the firing of U.S. attorneys. Or reviewing conditions at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. And especially when it came to discovering who leaked Valerie Plame and Joseph Wilson’s identities. All of which took place during George W. Bush’s presidency.

Not to mention special prosecutor Archibald Cox, who was appointed to investigate the Watergate scandal.

It would seem that, as usual, when the left commits perceived offenses, it’s perfectly appropriate for them to police themselves. But when there are similar perceptions of offenses committed by those on the right, that’s a completely different story.

Holder’s stonewalling of the Fast and Furious congressional investigation is not only straight out of the Richard M. Nixon play book, it is more egregious. Although ultimately the ongoing investigation resulted in the removal of a sitting President from office for his role in the Watergate burglary and ensuing cover-up, nobody died due to decisions made or actions taken by Nixon and his lieutenants.

It is alleged that by allowing hundreds of highly sophisticated automatic weapons to walk across the U.S./Mexican border and into the hands of criminal drug cartels, the Holder led Department of Justice contributed to the death of hundreds of Mexican civilians and murder of U.S. Border Agent Brian Terry. This is an extremely serious charge. The truth must be uncovered. If this allegation is true, Eric Holder should go to prison, instead of being allowed to harass multiple state governments with frivolous, racist lawsuits. To hold to the notion that Eric Holder is capable of dispassionate logic in pursuit of fact in the face of such a clear conflict of interest is incongruous.

That the White House is standing behind Holder in stone walling the cover up of information is not surprising. When are the college records, medical records, travel records, etc of the current White House occupant going to be brought to light?

Will obama and Holder agree to appoint a special prosecutor? If they do and the going gets dicey, is the United States going to be submitted to a replay of the Archibald Cox firing drama? Will there be the Saturday Night Massacre, part two?

It would not be in the least bit surprising to see the White House let this drag out through the summer as a means of distracting from their own dismal record. It would also be true to form to see Holder go the way of many of obama’s once political allies. The moment Holder’s presence becomes too much of a political liability to the full time, win at all costs candidate he will become persona non grata faster than you can say: “Our long national nightmare is over”.

When Mr. Carney expresses Obama’s desire to “maintain law and order and health and safety standards” in our nation’s capitol, we have to question just how building a structure and occupying Federal land in DC applies to that statement. The following DC occupancy laws certainly apply to anyone putting up a structure that people will “oocupy” or live in, not to mention trespassing/loitering laws concerning federal land. Before building any structure in DC you must obtain a Certificate of Occupancy:

The purpose of the Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) is to ensure that the use of a building, structure or land in the District of Columbia is compatible with the general intent of the Zoning Regulations and the provisions of the DC Building Codes. Consequently, no person can use a structure or land in the District of Columbia for any purpose other than a single-family dwelling until a Certificate of Occupancy has been issued for that structure. The fee is based on square-footage. No Occupy DC does not have a C of O., nor have they applied for one, therefore Barack Obama is condoning lawlessness in allowing the Occupiers to stay in DC. With the head of the OWS snake now cut off in NYC, the Occupy protests will be looking for a new center, or headquarters for their movement, and Barack Obama now wants to give them McPherson Square right in the heart of our nation’s capitol for it. It is simply unacceptable for the President of the United States to be promoting the breaking of laws in DC just to further his reelection campaign and to appease the far left radicals behind this astro-turf, anti-capitalist Occupy movement, period. What kind of a message will this send to tourists from other nations coming to visit our nation’s capitol? Considering the criminal element that has reared it’s ugly head within these camps, what happens when a foreign tourist is robbed, raped, or even worse yet, killed by one of the criminals lurking within the midst of the Occupy DC movement? What would happen if the Tea Party decided to camp in front of the Washington memorial for a few months? Why, they would be run out of DC faster than a bunch of chickens at a national fox convention.

Call your Representatives in Congress and demand the enforcement of the rule of law in our nation’s capitol. Evict the Occupy DC camps before it gets any further out of control. 2012 just can’t get here fast enough !

In a press conference the other day, President Obama referred to a Boston teacher who has been laid off three times in the past four years because of budget cuts. Robert Barrows has a Masters degree and 20 years of teaching experience but, according to Obama, he cannot find a job. This is among one of the many reasons to quickly pass his jobs bill, otherwise known as “stimulus junior.”

Just one small detail here – Robert Barrows is not unemployed!

Spinmaster Jay Carney was called on it and in response said, "The President knows [Barrows’] story."  In other words, Obama never met the guy!

Now, is this a real big deal in the grand scheme of things? Not really.  Did President Obama cause some sort of national security issue because of this? No, but it continues to show a pattern of behavior of using every little thing to pull on the heartstrings of the easily swayed to get them to fall in line with your political agenda. In this case, we have to spend even more of your grandchildren’s money so that all the Robert Barrowses out there will have a good paying job. Being a former teacher myself, I thought I might help shed a little light on this "horrible predicament."

First of all, Massachusetts is a lockout state. If you want to be a teacher you must join the teacher’s union.  The union, through collective bargaining, forces all the school districts to pay every teacher according to a scale based on their years of service. Teachers also generally get a pay bump for having advanced degrees. So, someone like Robert Barrows with a Masters degree and 20 years of service, would find himself in the upper echelon of pay in the Boston school system. Whether he is good at his job or not is irrelevant. A person with the same qualifications who is a lousy teacher will get paid the same exact amount as he does and, short of doing something illegal, you really can’t get fired from a teaching gig these days. Unlike the private sector, schools are not allowed to negotiate a pay cut to help you keep your job – it’s all or nothing. So facing such massive shortfalls, what is the school system to do?

Does the school system want good teachers? Yes! Would they prefer having somebody with years of classroom management experience? Of course! Do they have enough money to pay them? Thanks to the unions, no! So guess what happens? Robert Barrows gets laid off, due to the fact that he must get paid a high wage that the school can no longer afford. So what does the school do?  They hire some wide-eyed innocent nub straight out of college and pay him the teacher’s equivalent of minimum wage.

This of course, happens in the private sector as well. Some companies will lay off the higher-paying workers who have years of experience but a high paycheck in lieu of the kid coming straight out of college. However, most companies that practice this technique generally don’t stay in business for long. In the private sector if you’ve been around for a long time, it’s probably because you’re very good at your job.

Another thing a private company can do, short of dumping you altogether, is negotiate down your paycheck. This  is not an ideal situation for anyone, but ask the millions of Americans who are out of work at the moment if they would prefer half the salary of their last job and they would probably jump on it in a minute. Thanks to our good old teachers unions, you can’t do that in schools. How do I know this? Because it is happened to me!

I grew up hearing my dad constantly using the phrase "bleeding heart liberals." At first, I thought it was a medical condition. Now I know it is a mental condition. It comes from hearing politicians like Barack Obama churn out sob stories like this one (which is not even true!) over and over again until the knee-jerk reaction becomes natural. And of course, the natural remedy for liberals for conditions such as these is to throw more government money at the problem. It won’t work! It never has and it never will!

Perhaps instead of looking to uncle slam for yet another bailout paid out of our grandchildren’s piggy banks, we should be looking to loosening the grip of some of these unions that are simply parasites that just don’t know when to quit. Eventually they’re going to kill the host.

His cheeks were like ACORNs, you knew he was nuts!
His droll little grin spread all over his face,

A stump speech he held, clenched tight in one fist,
Like all of the others, it was one to be missed.
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Was all it would take before it was dead.

He was thin as a rail, befitting his rank,
And Michelle was there too, her breath how it stank.
And laying his finger inside of his nose,
A booger he dug, the big one he chose!

He sprang to his rostrum, to the press he did whistle,
And he kissed Helen Thomas, like the hose on a Bissell.
