Shortly after last year’s presidential defeat and at the beginning of the Great Republican Panic of 2013, I wrote here about what a bad idea morally and legally amnesty for illegal aliens is. Guess what? It still is.

In a sane universe “immigration reform” would be specifically designed to benefit the citizens of the nation passing the law, rather than be a law that only benefits non–citizens who came here illegally at the expense of the citizens.

But that hasn’t stopped Sen. Marco Rubio (R–FL) from eagerly joining the Gang of Ocho’s efforts to pass a “comprehensive” amnesty bill. After being trapped in a room with both Sen. Chuck Schumer (D–Publicity) and Sen. John McCain (R–Media Loves Me, Unless I Run for President), Rubio has evidently developed Stockholm Syndrome. He claims this amnesty bill does not have any amnesty provisions. Instead is has a “path to citizenship” where the length of time before amnesty kicks in somehow makes amnesty more tolerable for conservatives.

Yet I have a simple test for supporters of any immigration reform bill. If removing the portions that deal with granting citizenship to people who came to the US illegally causes Democrat support to vanish, then what you have is an amnesty bill and not a “reform” at all.

During her testimony before Congress in support of the bill, Sec. of Homeland Security Janet Incompetano said the 844–page bill has many benefits, including stricter accountability for employers and improving border security. Yet you can accomplish both of those goals without legalizing 12 million illegal aliens and doing so might just reduce the number of illegals here now.

Opponents of actually enforcing immigration law claim the government can’t deport 12 million people, but no one I know is advocating that. In fact this is one of the areas where I prefer a libertarian solution: the illegals got here on their own without government assistance and they can leave on their own, too.

In a true magic beans moment, Rubio is so proud of the 13–year “path to citizenship” — as if a slow motion surrender to illegality is an improvement over an immediate surrender. Maybe he thinks during this cooling off period Republican outreach teams can contact the newly legal and persuade them they are really naturally conservative and should be voting GOP.

But I’ve got news for Marco: it’s not going to happen. His 13–year path is going to be the civil unions of the immigration fight. As soon as Rubio’s bill is passed Democrats will begin complaining about second–class citizenship for brown people. As Neil Munro has written, the bill already has 400 “exemptions, exceptions, waivers, determinations and grants of discretion and even better will be administered by the OBAMA ADMINISTRATION!

We will be lucky if the 13–years lasts 13 months.

Democrats will get their immediate temporary permanent status for the illegals and the increased border security will never happen. The same goes for employer sanctions.

We heard the amnesty and border security shuffle when Reagan granted amnesty to 3 million (Gee, wasn’t he a Republican?). Amnesty was immediate and border security was absent, which is why we are preparing to legalize 12 million now.

The fines Rubio dreams of (much like the $1,500 fines the Commonwealth of Virginia was going to impose of indigent drunk drivers) will never be collected and the English proficiency test will be found to be culturally insensitive. Instead, illegals will get a waiver for the fine and if they can look at two photos and distinguish George Washington from Simon Bolivar their English is good to go, too.

You think I’m exaggerating? Ha! The Democrats in charge of the District of Columbia are preparing to introduce legislation that would require pharmacies, and possibly doctor’s offices, to provide translators — at business expense — for any customer or patient who does not speak English. That in a nutshell (apt phrasing, that) is the Democrat philosophy on immigration.

And by the way, I was being conservative when I said 12 million illegals would join us. According to NumbersUSA it will be more like 33 million, because “comprehensive reform” doesn’t manage to reform one of the major failings of current immigration policy called “family reunification.”

You probably think unifying families makes sense, because parents should be able to bring their children into the country. But you are wrong, that policy would be the reform. Current Democrat policy defines “family” as grandfathers, grandmothers, uncles, aunts, cousins, kissing–cousins, step–relatives and BFFs. So 33 million may be a conservative estimate.

Tea Party favorite Rubio is flacking for a bill that will only encourage more illegal immigration in the future, will not provide increased border security, will cost taxpayers billions, will depress wages for lower income workers, will burden the welfare system and — according to a report from Emily Schultheis in Politico — give Democrats 11 million so new voters, which is about the voting population of Ohio.

This leaves conservatives with a choice of opinions regarding Marco Rubio. One, he’s either too gullible to ever be allowed in the Oval Office or two, he’s a Democrat sleeper agent.

In recent weeks, Rand Paul has made a meteoric rise in Republican politics, dramatically raising his name recognition, winning (albeit by a slim margin) a CPAC straw poll, and successfully duping many conservatives (including some of my friends) into believing that he’s more sane and more practical than his nutty father, whom Republican voters rejected overwhelmingly in 2008 and 2012.

Sadly, these people are wrong. Rand Paul, like his father, is a leftist libertarian. His leftist brand of libertarianism is evident on many issues: deep defense cuts, supporting the cretinous “Balanced Budget Amendment”, supporting violations of states’ rights Paul’s pet issues, opposing action against Iran.

But on no issue is it more visible than on illegal immigration. Rand Paul supports a full-throated amnesty for illegal aliens (without calling it that way; he deceptively calls it “a pathway to citizenship”), bilingualism, and open borders, and opposes employment verification, including the very effective E-Verify Program.

Employers, including Big Business, are lobbying hard for amnesty and against E-Verify, because they love to hire illegal aliens; they can pay them much less than Americans and avoid federal and state employment laws.

But doesn’t Rand Paul realise that amnesty and bilingualism will only lead to bigger, more costly government? Don’t his supporters realize that?

Don’t they and their idol Rand Paul realize that amnesty (or “pathway to citizenship”, or whatever you want to call it) is TOTALLY INCOMPATIBLE with limited Constitutional government (not to mention that it rewards lawbreaking, and a limited government – Constitutional or otherwise – cannot exist if the law is not obeyed)?

Don’t they and Rand Paul understand that amnesty will create 12-20 million new Democratic voters who will send the political Right (not just the GOP) and all conservatives to the political graveyard and give the Democrats a permanent, unbeatable majority?

As Ann Coulter rightly says, as soon as the nation starts to resemble California demographically, it will also resemble California politically.

To see what amnesty would mean politically, just look at California, where whites are now only 40% of the population – a “majority minority” state. Massive immigration – both legal and illegal – has transformed California into such a liberal state that no Republican can be elected statewide anymore. Taxes are going in only one direction, the state is on the verge of bankruptcy, and there’s no one left to pay the bill anymore, because businesses are fleeing Commiefornia en masse.

Not so long ago, this state gave America such great Republican Senators and Governors as Richard Nixon, S. I. Hayakawa, Ronald Reagan, and Pete Wilson.

But now, California is permanently lost to the GOP. The Dems control the governorship and have 2/3 majorities in the state legislature.

This is what the ENTIRE country will look like if amnesty is passed. The two major parties, as Ann Coulter rightly says, will be the Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) Democratic Party and the Chuck Schumer Democratic Party.

Contrary to the popular canard that “Hispanics are natural conservatives/Republicans” and that “the Hispanic vote is winnable for the GOP”, they’re not and it’s not. The converse is the truth: Hispanics are natural liberals.

They are less likely than anyone but Jews to attend religious services and to oppose abortion and gay marriage. They are more likely than anyone else except blacks to be born out of wedlock, do poorly in school, drop out of high school, have children out of wedlock themselves, be poor, be dependent on the federal government for survival, commit crime, and go to prison. They depend on an entire cornucopia of federal programs to survive – from cradle to grave.

As Pat Buchanan points out, most Hispanic households are led by single mothers who, if they work, have no tax liability (due to the high tax-free treshold and the EITC), and if they don’t work, they receive welfare rolls and 99 weeks of unemployment checks. For food, she gets foodstamps and her children receive 2-3 “free” meals at school.

For healthcare, there’s Medicaid and Obamacare.

Her children are educated for “free” K-12 and can apply for Pell Grants and student loans.

Why would these people vote for a party that promises to cut taxes they don’t pay, but pledges to cut government dependency programs they do “benefit” from and use? Doesn’t self-interest dictate voting for the party that pledges to let them keep using these programs and, if anything, promises them more “free” giveaways?

The vast majority of Hispanics are government dependents (i.e. ideal Democratic voters). Republicans will never beat the Democrats at the giveaway offering game.

Have you ever wondered, Dear Readers, why most Latin American countries (Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Mexico, etc.) have socialist governments? Answer: Because most of their citizens are socialists.

Most Americans don’t know that decades ago, the Democrats began implementing their plan to create an unbeatable Democratic majority by importing millions of immigrants from the Third World while making it harder (nigh impossible) for well-educated, highly-skilled Europeans to immigrate to the US. This plan is close to being completed. Amnesty #2 would be the final step – and the final nail in the GOP’s coffin.

The Democrats did not, and do not, want to change their ideology or their policies; instead, they’ve decided to change the voters, and they’ve done so and continue to do so.

Someone will say, “But in 2004, George W. Bush won 44% of the Hispanic vote!” Yes, he did, but that’s not a great result. If repeated at future elections and if amnesty is passed, the GOP will still be doomed. Let’s do simple math.

Assuming that there are 12 million illegal aliens in the US, let’s say 44% of these people vote Republican once naturalized, and “only” 56% vote Democratic. That is, let’s assume they’ll vote Republican in George W. Bush numbers.

OK, here’s the math:

44%*12 million = 5.28 mn new GOP voters

56%*12 million = 6.72 mn new Dem voters

Net gain: 1.44 mn new voters for the Democrats.

So on net, the Dems would gain 1.44 mn new voters.

Easy to see why the Democrats are for this. But why would a GOP that were not suicidally inclined support such a policy?

Those who support amnesty, including Rand Paul, need to ask themselves only this question:

If there was ANY chance – even the slightest chance – that amnesty could help Republicans in ANY way whatsoever, do you think the Democrats would’ve supported it?

The answer is obvious. It’s a resounding “no”.

Rand Paul must not be allowed to win a GOP presidential or vice presidential nomination under any circumstances whatsoever. Nominating Rand Paul for President or Vice President would be an electoral suicide for the GOP and would be an utter rejection of all conservative principles the GOP has ever stood for.

Did you know that, on August 20, 2011, drunk illegal alien Nicholas Gauman killed Matthew Denice of Milford, MA? Or that Gauman showed absolutely no emotion when police told him Denice was dead? Gauman simply shrugged when informed of that news. Gauman first hit Denice (who was on a motorcycle), then, despite pleas to stop from Denice and on-lookers, drove an additional quarter mile before stopping. Being in this country illegally is bad enough, driving drunk is bad enough, killing a person is bad enough, that his (lead) attorney, Peter Ettenberg, filed a mental incompetency defense is bad enough, but Judge Janet Kinton-Walker now says Guaman’s “unique cultural background” and lack of an Ecuadorian translator have made him incompetent to stand trial.

Ettenberg, in an e-mail, wrote:

“We have met with him a number of times and it has become clear to us that he simply can’t assist us in defending his case. That’s something to which he has a constitutional right to do. As a result, we retained a neuropsychologist to conduct an evaluation to render an opinion whether Mr. Gauman is competent to stand trial. The doctor’s opinion is that Mr. Gauman is not competent and we so advised the judge.”

Kinton-Walker has ordered Guaman’s attorney to find an interpreter and educate him on the court process. She also said that Gauman lacks the ability to consult with his attorney properly.

It’s interesting to note that Gauman was previously convicted of breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony, and on three assault and battery charges, as well as several other charges. Denice’s mother, Maureen Maloney, said:

“In the past, he’s [Gauman] had other run-ins with the law. He’s been in court multiple times on other charges prior to all this in August 2011 and a Spanish interpreter or no interpreter was used for those hearings and he’s always managed just fine.”

Kinton-Walker was appointed in 2009 by MA Governor Deval Patrick (D). Yes, that’s the same Patrick who has prevented local law enforcement from contacting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and alerting them to criminal immigrants they’ve encountered. And repeatedly, some of those illegal alien criminals have gone on to kill, rape, and harm local citizens. What’s worse is that Patrick STILL opposes enforcing immigration laws.

Gauman was here illegally. The question, then, is: “Why was Gauman allowed to remain in this country so that he could kill Denice?” Gauman’s constitutional rights trump all that he has done. But, Gauman would not have (at taxpayer cost) those constitutional rights if he had been deported in the first place, as current law prescribes. Further, Denice would be alive today.

But that’s just my opinion

It’s remarkable that the political party allegedly joined at the hip with Big Business has such an incredible problem with a basic operational task like marketing. Somehow when it came time to divvy up the commercial sector, the Republicans got all the boring accountants, while the Democrats scooped up all the cool art directors.

Confining Republican outreach efforts to shareholder annual meetings and Daughters of the American Revolution gatherings is obviously not working. We’re going to have to get a “twitter” and compose some “twits” er, “tweets” if the GOP intends to become the happenin’ party.

Fortunately, great minds are at work on this project and they have arrived at a solution. Over the next few years the GOP will be including up a storm. According to Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, the party will be establishing “swearing–in citizenship teams” to approach the newly naturalized with the new, improved GOP message.

I have this mental picture of first contact that’s a combination of ‘The Andromeda Strain’ and ‘Alien’ but I’m sure that’s too harsh. No doubt the teams will be so earnest they squeak when they walk and they will have memorized an “elevator speech” for new citizens who get within range. Assuming Organizing for America and the SNAP people have not hogged all the good tables at the accompanying trade show.

But that’s not all, this “not your grumpy old man’s GOP” will also reach out to minorities who didn’t get here by crossing a river. Priebus says, “We will talk regularly and openly with groups with which we’ve had minimal contact in the past: LULAC, the Urban League, the NAACP, NALEO, La Raza. And we will take our message to college campuses, with an especially strong focus on Historically Black Colleges and Universities.” And I suppose if the communists were still around, Republicans would have coffee with the KGB.

What he expects to accomplish by reaching out to the already convinced remains to be seen. I don’t recall being approached by a Honda salesman as I drove off the lot in my new Infiniti. A more useful approach to me would be contacting minority homeowners in suburban neighborhoods that are mixed racially and politically. Your chances of finding an open mind are vastly greater there than at the NAACP or Urban League.

Still, even if you find an open mind, there is the problem of party beliefs that are still a source of embarrassment to many in GOP leadership.

Which is why Priebus’ handpicked committee has come up with a solution. All national Republicans have to do to achieve presidential success is become Democrats, or more specifically Southern Democrats, since we won’t agree to spend as much money as the Yankee Dems.

And current or holdover members of the GOP base will be permitted to retain some conservative social views, but we are urged to avoid discussing our feelings in polite company or any gathering that includes representatives of the news media.

It’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” applied to an entirely different demographic group.

Specifically, the Priebus group claims it is “not a policy committee” and then recommends “comprehensive immigration reform,” which is code terminology for amnesty; and a change in “issues involving the treatment and the rights of gays,” which is code for quit criticizing Adam and Steve if they want to get “married.”

This is beyond strange. NRC big thinkers want the party to work hard to accommodate the views of two demographic groups that have no interest in voting for us so we will what? Get kinder treatment on MSNBC? Meanwhile the people composing the base of the party are alienated by their betters.

Undocumented Democrats are not going to vote Republican after receiving amnesty. You can get the details here. And homosexuals are not going to give up the best tables at trendy restaurants so they can break bread with Ralph Reed at CPAC. And speaking of Ralph, who is the founder of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, he takes a dim view of the report, “If the Republican party tries to retreat from being a pro-marriage, pro-family party, the big tent is going to become a pup tent very fast.” And he adds, “I am concerned that some in the party are going wobbly on this issue,” which is putting it mildly.

As for amnesty, a Washington Post/ABC poll found that Republican party members opposed amnesty by a margin of 60 to 35 percent, with 5 percent refusing to answer since the question was not in Spanish.

Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, proposes to hit the GOP where it hurts when he says, “”I would not give my money to the national party, to the national Republican Party. I would not give it to the RNC, I would not give it to the Republican Senatorial Committee nor to the Republican Congressional Committee,” which pretty much covers all the bases.

Good advice, particularly when you consider the recent lawsuit filed over entertainment problems in connection with last summer’s Republican National Convention.

Now I’m not referring to the run–of–the–mill lawsuit involving some rookie advance man who plays an unauthorized version of In–A–Gadda–Da–Vida at a rally to get the crowd fired up. (Usually the 17–minute album version, since even the most ancient, establishment Republican officeholder can shuffle up to the stage in that length of time.)

When Tom Petty or Heart or John Mellencamp demands a GOP candidate stop using their song, it’s not necessarily due to a disagreement on the issues. (Buying weed has taught them all about the free market and specifically the theory of supply & demand.) It’s because they know if the public starts associating their music with the accountant party, instead of the art directors, any hope of a revival tour will dry up.

No, I’m referring to the lawsuit that reveals the people in charge of entertainment at the convention offered Lady Gaga $1 million to perform.

For those readers who still miss Anita Bryant and may not be up to speed on Gaga, here is a brief rundown of her background. She’s a homosexual activist who supports homosexual marriage, the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell,” enjoys performing in her underwear before large crowds and appears in blasphemous music videos.

And if that wasn’t enough, she thinks the rich don’t pay enough taxes!

There is no tactful way to say this. These people are idiots and have no idea what they are doing. Money given to them is by definition wasted. Even if by some stroke of misfortune Gaga had agreed to appear, there is no telling what she would have done once she was on stage.

That would have been a real two–fer: national laughingstock and object of scorn by the delegates. Besides convention delegates don’t go to hear Lawrence Welk or Wendy O. Williams. They go for the privilege of waiting in security lines, sitting on uncomfortable chairs, wearing silly hats, listening to obscure arguments and being bored by long–winded speakers.

Besides the panic currently being experienced by national GOP leadership is misplaced. As Michael Medved has helpfully pointed out the Republican vote among 18 to 29 year olds increased to 37 percent, a significant boost from 2008’s 32 percent. Voters under 30 of the white persuasion went for Romney over Obama by a strong 7 percentage points. It was minority Obama generating sympathy and solidarity among minority youth that won him that demographic’s vote. A situation unlikely to be repeated when the white brothers: Hillary or Joe, run in 2016.

Finally, if simple outreach and individual contact is the root of the problem, why don’t we try marketing the existing recipe before we start tinkering with the product?

Meanwhile, if Chairman Priebus wants to generate excitement and attract more and trendier youth to GOP conventions, do what they do in Trinidad: Serve rum backed with plenty of drums.

This one surely belongs in the “Awwwwwwwwwwww” department. We learn that “North Carolina To Issue Illegal Immigrants Driver’s Licenses… Illegals Complain It Has A Pink Stripe On It…”

It seems that in January 2013, North Carolina was going to deny young illegal aliens who have received two-year deferrals from deportation a driver’s license. That position caused quite a row among illegal aliens. Cinthia Marroquin, an illegal alien, said, “It’s horrible. Do I even get a job? Am I going to make it? What am I going to do? You can’t really get a job, basically.”

The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) had said that it would grant driver’s licenses to those who received deferred action, but the DMV, in January, sought a legal opinion from state Attorney General Roy Cooper on how the program conforms with state law.

Now we fast-forward to the present. The NC DMV is set to issue driver’s licenses to illegal aliens on March 25, but not without some complaints. A bright pink stripe and the words “No Lawful Status” has caused a controversy. Cinthia Marroquin (the same person quoted above) says that she is now worried about presenting a license declaring she has “NO LAWFUL STATUS” at a police roadblock or while writing a check at the grocery store. “A lot of us are just scared. We just want to be able to get a job and drive to work. Having that license is just going to show everybody you’re here illegally, just buying a beer or writing a check. You don’t know how people might react.”

The NC American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has weighed in on the subject – surprise, surprise. ACLU attorney Ron Pinto said, “There is simply no reason for officials to stigmatize people who are in the U.S. legally with an unnecessary marker that could lead to harassment, confusion, and racial profiling.” Concerning legality of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) aliens, NC state law says that a driver’s license will be issued to anyone who holds valid federal documentation of their “legal presence” in the United States. So, according to NC AG Roy Cooper, a Democrat, DACA aliens are here legally, that under federal law, DACA participants have a “legal presence,” even if they do not have “lawful status,” and that state law requires that DACA participants be granted licenses. Republican Gov. Pat McCrory’s administration of agreed, announcing last week the DMV would begin issuing the licenses.

The Department of Homeland Security has said it is up to each state to determine what to do. Rockingham [NC] County Sheriff Sam Page said, “If he [illegal alien] has an identification, there’s a better chance he’s going to get a citation or a warning and sent on his way versus ending up at the magistrate’s office and ending up in the local jail. This will save both the DACA immigrants and law enforcement officers time and money.”

Well, illegal aliens in NC will get driver’s licenses. But are they satisfied? To quote John Belushi on SNL, “Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.” The fact that illegal aliens are getting a driver’s license is absurd enough. But to complain about it because it properly identifies their legal status is simply beyond comprehension. I guess that, for the estimated 1.8 million illegal aliens, leaving the US is simply not an option.

But that’s just my opinion.
Consequently, when her husband offered a campaign built around Bread & Circuses; they countered with healthy eating and free–range elephants.

A role reversal that proved fatal.

More than once I’ve heard discouraged conservatives complain that ignorant voters were responsible for re–electing Obama, but that’s simply not true. Misguided and short–sighted voters, yes, but certainly not ignorant.

Obama supporters voted for the candidate who gave them the most freebies. Union members voted for the Government Motors bailout and the prospect of “card check.”

Government employees voted for bigger government and its number one disciple. Hispanics voted for a freeze on deportation and amnesty for illegals. College students voted for low interest student loans and possible loan forgiveness.

Unmarried mothers voted for food stamps, welfare, free contraceptives and — for the sexually disorganized — federally–funded abortion. Homosexuals voted for homosexual marriage. And blacks voted for the black guy.

Now, proving there is no one more gullible than a panicked Republican, some of our “leaders” are considering amnesty for illegal aliens.

Amnesty for illegals will be called “immigration reform,” just as adulterers call fornication “marriage reform.” Passage will be equivalent to allowing a family who squatted on land inside a national park to keep the land as part of “ownership reform.” It wouldn’t be fair to evict them, don’t you know, because they built a house and their kids would have to change school districts.

Unfortunately for Republican leaders who put power before principle, amnesty is wrong for four reasons.

First it’s morally wrong. Rewarding lawbreakers, only encourages more lawbreaking, erodes respect for the rule of law and discriminates against potential legal immigrants who are waiting their turn. Amnesty also serves to take jobs from low income US citizens and depresses the wages of those that have jobs.

Secondly, it solves nothing. Democrats — who make short–term memory loss part of their governing philosophy — conveniently forget the US granted Hispanics a massive amnesty during the Reagan administration. That “never to be repeated” amnesty legalized over 4 million illegals. This final solution possessed such deterrent power that over 12 million illegals are demanding amnesty this time, a four–fold increase.

Third, amnesty will damage Republicans at the ballot box. Let’s assume 4 million of the approximately 12 million illegals are of voting age. These are not Republican votes in waiting, they are, as fellow columnist Mike Adams says, “undocumented Democrats.” All 4 million will be voting Democrat from now on.

It’s a fact the GOP never gets credit for anything involving civil rights. When the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed a larger percentage of Republicans supported the bill than Democrats, yet Democrats get all the credit. If I recall correctly Ronald Reagan was a Republican, yet even after the passage of amnesty during his administration, the GOP still has a problem with Hispanics.

Four, “socially conservative” Hispanics are like Iranian “moderate mullahs.” GOP “experts” claim Hispanic “family values” mean their natural home is the GOP. Yet on Sunday, November 4th, these “socially conservative” Hispanics sat in Catholic churches and heard homilies about the Obama administration forcing the church to violate basic Catholic beliefs. Then they rushed to the polls to vote for the most radical abortion–supporting president in history.

The only way for Republicans to profit from amnesty is to invest in companies producing the velvet Obama paintings that will soon be joining the velvet JFKs gracing the walls of many minority homes.

No wonder Democrats are so eager to cooperate with the GOP on this “bi–partisan reform” legislation.

Republicans simply cannot win a bidding war with Democrats and remain Republicans. It will take time for a values and civic virtues campaign to be successful, because changing public attitudes is a long-term project. So I suggest Republicans conduct asymmetrical electoral warfare.

Presidential election years have larger turnout that favors Democrats. Off–year elections have smaller turnout and give our base a larger impact. Nationally, during the education process, the GOP can concentrate on winning off–year elections and build up conservative margins in the US House, gain a Senate seat or two and defend the rest during Presidential years.

All the while concentrating our message on the benefits of individual liberty, personal responsibility and marketplace competition. Democrats and “progressives” are now using the ballot box to exploit the cultural pathologies their incompetent policies have created over the past 40 years. Over the short term it may prove to be an indestructible ideological loop.

But if conservatives aren’t in this fight over the long term, why are we in it at all?

Over the past few years, I have found myself getting more frustrated with what is going on in this country. Every time I pick-up the newspaper I find myself saying “what the hell is going on in this country.” It seems to me that non-citizens, illegal aliens are getting more from this country than the citizens of this country do. What kind of country do we live in, where people who do not belong here, are better taken care of than the people who are here legally?

Just look around the country, how many states offer illegal aliens discounted college tuition, or sometimes free tuition, while citizens of this country pay thousands more?

If an illegal alien is caught driving without a license, they are let free, while citizens are taken to jail and fined.

An illegal alien applying for welfare and food stamps does not have to supply documentation, just go in and say they are here illegally and they are automatically eligible. While if a citizen goes in for the same benefits they have to supply their life’s history.

Just take a look at how much illegal aliens are costing the taxpayers of this country. It’s easy to dismiss individual programs that Benefit non-citizens until they’re put together and this picture emerges. Often these programs are buried within other Programs making them difficult to find.

1.$11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year by state governments.

2. $22 Billion dollars a year is spent on food Assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens.

3. $2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens.

4. $12 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a word of English!

5.$17 Billion dollars a year is spent for education for the American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies.

6 .$3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens.

7. 30% percent of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens.

8. $90 Billion Dollars a year is spent on illegal aliens for Welfare & social services by the American taxpayer.

9. The illegal aliens cause $200 Billion dollars a year in suppressed American wages.

10. Illegal aliens send home $45 BILLION in remittances to their countries of origin.

Total $338,300,000,000.00 WHICH WOULD BE ENOUGH TO STIMULATE THE ECONOMY FOR THE CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY.

Something is wrong, this country has fallen off the tracks somewhere along the line, and it seems our whole society has turned upside down. Washington does not have the stomach for the job, even though it is a simple problem to solve. All they have to do is stop all the freebies, if you are here illegally you get nothing and I mean nothing. Not only will people stop sneaking in to this country once the freebies are gone, but also the ones that are already here, will be running out in record numbers.

What I find ironic, is that Mexico’s immigration laws are stricter then our own, yet the Mexican government complains that our laws are unfair; Here are a few examples of Mexican law.

Immigrants are:

§ in the country legally;

§ have the means to sustain themselves economically;

§ not destined to be burdens on society;

§ of economic and social benefit to society;

§ of good character and have no criminal records;

§ contributors to the general well-being of the nation;

§ immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;

§ foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;

§ foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the countries internal politics;

§ foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;

§ foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;

§ those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.

And that’s not all, the Mexican authorities are allowed to ask for documentation to prove someone is in the country legally.

Now you see why I say that something is wrong with this country.

This is one man’s opinion.

Where I live we’ve already had extensive experience with small scale unilateral amnesty for illegal aliens without actual legal authority. Ours came courtesy of a “morally sensitive” police chief who knew much more about illegal aliens than the elected officials who hired him.

Fortunately for us Chief Charlie Deane — Virginia’s foremost practitioner of “ignoring while Hispanic” law enforcement — is voluntarily saying, “Adios, amigos” and retiring. I wish I could say the same for Barack Obama and his unilaterally declared amnesty for almost 2 million illegals.

Deane received quite the sendoff from his fellow travelers at the Washington Post. Members of the morally superior caucus find it newsworthy when someone they assume is conservative and therefore morally backward, say a police officer, turns out to share their enlightened views.

The WaPo editorial proclaimed: “When county officials wanted police to check the immigration status of residents and arrest those who were in the country illegally, he wasn’t afraid to push back at a policy he saw as bigoted and sure to cause problems for law enforcement.”

The Metro section concurred, “When the Prince William Board of County Supervisors jumped into the national immigration debate in 2007 and became one of the first places in the country to require the police department to question residents about their immigration status, Chief Charlie T. Deane thought otherwise.

“He feared cries of racial profiling and losing the trust of the county’s growing immigrant community. His stance angered his bosses on the county board and many residents who thought he was flouting the law…’When this was forced on us, we had no experience with it, and there were legal and moral implications,’ Deane said.”

The policy Deane refers to as being “forced on us” was in truth a law passed by an overwhelming majority of the county board of supervisors and a concept recently ratified by the U.S. Supreme Court.

What’s more, Deane didn’t simply express his opinion as a law enforcement official. He used his power as chief to actively sabotage the implementation of a law supported by the vast majority of citizens here legally.

Since Deane couldn’t persuade the board not to pass the law, he decided to obstruct enforcement until the 2008 election, hoping voters would elect Democrats who prefer coddling illegals. (Note to readers, don’t try this at home, obstruction of justice is a crime if you’re not the chief of police.)

Deane accomplished this by waiting until the entire police department went through training before allowing officers to enforce the law. This took months and is in direct opposition to the procedure in departments where the chief obeys his elected bosses.

Deane was forced to implement Plan B when stubborn voters re–elected Republicans who believe in the rule of law. Chief Sanctimony announced, “…we were going to focus on individuals who had committed crimes, and that we were going to protect crime victims and witnesses regardless of their status, and we were not going to do racial profiling, roadblocks, sweeps or employment investigations.”

This made it crystal clear to patrol officers and supervisors that they would be wise to avoid enthusiastic enforcement of the new law.

Simultaneously Deane began his viaje de apología. The Patron was concerned about the “climate of fear” in the Hispanic community, along with “bigotry and profiling.” He met with “immigrant rights groups” (think aiding and abetting associations) and even has an audiencia with the Mexican consul, who represents a government that actively encourages illegal aliens and works to undermine border enforcement.

But in spite of Deane’s best efforts some illegals were initially captured. The first report on the law’s effectiveness found, “In the majority of cases, [the arrest] was made during a call for service, second to that was traffic for stops (sic).”

So Deane works to dilute the law and restrict enforcement inquiries to individuals placed under arrest, which means illegals caught previously during “a call for service” or traffic stop, would go free in the future.

Progressives were fine with Deane’s unilateral decision that the intensity of law enforcement should vary depending on the individual’s national origin, because all the right people were in agreement.

But I wonder what progressive response would have been if Deane had decided to de–emphasize enforcement of domestic violence and homosexual bullying in the Moslem community because Islam has a different view of women’s roles and the Koran prohibits homosexual conduct?

Do you think worries about “Islamophobia” and encouraging cooperation with anti–terrorism efforts would have persuaded elite opinion to accept this type of arbitrary lack of enforcement? We all know the answer to that.

Charlie has his “Bridge Builder” award from the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and his gold watch from the WaPo. Now maybe my county will get a chief who believes his role is to enforce the law, rather than interpret it. Maybe it will set a precedent for the nation.

On Wednesday, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer ordered her state government agencies to deny drivers licenses and other public benefits to young illegal immigrants who obtain work permits under the new Obama Administration policy.

In the executive order, she was reaffirming the current Arizona law that denies taxpayer-funded public benefits and state identification to illegal immigrants.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer issues an executive order denying public-funded benefits to young illegal immigrants

Young illegal immigrants around the country between the ages of 16-30 around the nation began applying for work permits on Wednesday under the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.

The new federal ‘policy’ defers deportation of certain young illegal immigrants who have a high school diploma, a GED, or who have served or are currently serving in the United States Armed Services, and all applicants must not have committed certain crimes.

Jan Brewer labeled the new federal policy by Barack Obama as “backdoor amnesty” back in June when the policy was announced.

Arizona has been a leading state in fighting for the right to protect their citizens from illegal immigrants, most recently making the news with the Arizona v. United States Supreme Court decision.

The U.S. Supreme Court in June overturned parts of the Arizona enforcement law known as SB1070 but ruled that a key provision on requiring police to ask people about their immigration status under certain circumstances can be implemented.

The Obama Administration and Eric Holder challenged the law in 2010, claiming that Arizona doesn’t constitutionally have the right to pass the law, since Immigration powers are enumerated to the federal government.

Gov. Brewer went on the Mike Broomhead show on 550 KFYI radio to discuss the executive order, listen here:

The White House has ordered the halting of the deportation of 800,000 illegal aliens, many of whom will be given work permits. In effect this will allow them to stay in America permanently, since two-year work permits can be renewed indefinitely. This is an unconstitutional bequeathing of backdoor amnesty to hundreds of thousands or more. In the end, the number of work permits granted in this illegal bypass of Congress will likely be much higher.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said: “Our nation’s immigration laws must be enforced in a firm and sensible manner. But they are not designed to be blindly enforced without consideration given to the individual circumstances of each case. Nor are they designed to remove productive young people to countries where they may not have lived or even speak the language. Discretion, which is used in so many other areas, is especially justified here”.

For the record Janet, evaluating the individual circumstances of each case is supposed to be done before immigrants are allowed to enter the country legally.

Never mind that for decades America’s immigration laws have not been enforced in anything remotely resembling a firm and sensible manner. Millions upon millions of illegal aliens have been pouring across America’s borders for so long that individual States have been compelled to adopt State laws in efforts to stem the swollen tide.

Forget that a massive, systemic failure by the federal government to enforce immigration laws is the reason these illegal aliens are in America.

Discretion is in no way justified here.

A conscious decision has been made to ignore Article One, Section One of the United States Constitution, which clearly states: “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.”

This is a coldly calculated, clear-minded choice made by a failed Chief Executive to circumvent the Constitution he swore to uphold.

This is a choice made for purely political reasons. Every choice made by this ‘has never stopped campaigning full time candidate’ is made for purely political reasons. It is quite simply politically unacceptable to his re-election ambitions for him to be facing harsh criticism over failure to pass comprehensive immigration reform in his first year in office; but one of his many failed campaign promises.

Put it out of your head how promises to be the most open and transparent administration in American history mysteriously disappeared when the government’s seizure of America’s healthcare system occurred behind closed doors. Immoral, unethical wheeling and dealing were required in order to secure passage of a hugely unpopular piece of legislation. One that could very well be overturned by the United States Supreme Court for being unconstitutional.

This conscious choice to violate his oath of office and to openly, obviously and willfully circumvent the United States Constitution for personal political gain is particularly inexcusable for a self proclaimed “Constitutional Law Professor”. Once again, it’s entirely indicative that Emperor obama is simply not suited for America’s division of power, checks and balances political system at all, much less the Oval Office.

The border, security, illegal immigration, and national defense all culminate into what is easily one of the most emotional topics we, as Americans, can discuss. Before we dive into the potentially offensive title of this post, I’d like to offer a little background on the evolution of my beliefs regarding illegal immigration.

Even when I was a young Ai, growing up in the MidWest, I had very strong feelings on illegal immigration. I had grown up respecting the idea of our grandparents coming through Ellis Island, pledging allegiance to our nation, and becoming American citizens. It was an iconic and romantic image that was imprinted on multiple generations of people in this country. It seemed logical to think that if our grandparents could come over here on a steam ship and go through the proper channels to become citizens, then surely, our neighbors to the South could do the same. (minus the steam ship part)

I held onto this belief so tightly, that in a championship debate, I once proclaimed that we should have an electrified fence all along our border. (and I was a teenager at the time… I told you I formed this opinion at an early age) Believe it or not, that (highly insensitive) speech knocked me from the number one spot in the afore mentioned debate. I’ve never forgotten that day, but… I digress.

So, from elementary school until my mid 20′s, I held a very hardline stance on illegal immigration. I was against it. I considered it a national security risk. And I thought it was one of the greatest examples of government incompetence that so many people could come through our borders so easily. Not to mention, the drain it puts on our resources as illegal immigrants milk our social services.

To be honest with you, I still believe a lot of the things I just typed, but my stance isn’t as hardline anymore, and I’ll tell you why. I finally lived in a border state. Two, actually. Texas and California. And I don’t mean the northern parts, either. I mean ground zero. Southern California and San Antonio.

What finally changed in me was that I saw the scope of what we’re dealing with. When I lived in Indiana or Missouri, it seemed pretty “easy” to spot illegal immigrants. I worked, for a while, in the restaurant industry, and we all knew which employees were here illegally. Not only did our non-citizen coworkers tell us that they were illegal, they often clung closely together and spoke hardly any English at all. They stood out like a sore thumb.

Not so in Texas or California. Even after more than five years of immersion in this culture, I cannot definitively tell you who in my community is here legally or otherwise. The population is dense in the first place. Los Angeles County is said to have a population of nearly 10 million people. (that’s larger than the population of any STATE I grew up in by the way)

And while the illegal immigrants I knew in the MidWest clung together and seemed “obvious” to me, the illegal immigrants in many border states blend in freely with the whatever community they inhabit.

This past Sunday, as a thought experiment, I challenged a friend of mine to a “game” of sorts. We sat in a crowded IHOP and tried to figure out who we thought was there legally or illegally. After ten minutes, we gave up without deciding on a single worker or patron. There was just no way to know without demanding that people start randomly showing I.D. And really, is that the society we want to live in?

You see, when we, as conservatives, demand that our politicians vow to deport each and every (illegal) immigrant, it is no different than when the Left demanded Barack Obama close Guantanamo Bay. All we are doing is putting our candidates in a position where they have to promise something that cannot be delivered on, and then they look like a “liar” once they take office. We have to stop doing that.

I still believe that illegal immigration is a national security risk. I still believe that these aliens put a drain on many of our government resources. And I still believe that our government is extremely incompetent for not having a better handle on this. But I now realize that forcing our politicians to promise to round up and deport 11 million people is not a realistic task. We’ve spent several weeks out of this primary making demands that cannot and will not ever be met. And to make matters worse, all this does is further galvanize another minority group into feeling like they HAVE to vote Democrat, because Republicans are “against” them. I’m really at a point where I feel like this immigration litmus test is not productive.

When reading this, please don’t believe it’s a piece that’s “pro amnesty”. I’m not even getting into that part of the conversation at the moment, and even if I was, there are so many differing ideas of what “amnesty” is that it would take more typing than I’m willing to do at the moment.

All I’m saying is that we cannot round up and deport 11 million illegal immigrants, unless we’re willing to approach it with a WW II level of zeal that involves spying on our public and possibly even setting up internment camps. The amount of resources it would take and the level of ill will it would produce wouldn’t even be worth it. We absolutely need to stop the flow of illegal immigrants, and we need to work on deporting the ones that are here, when we find them. But requiring our candidates to promise to round them all up is ultimately a waste of everyones’ energy, and I wish it would stop.

We need to control our country’s borders; that’s an indisputable truth. All I’m asking is that we do it realistically.

Meet Francisco Guillermo Morales Esquer, 36, who was arrested in Arizona on Oct. 13th, ( less than 3 weeks ago) in one of three major busts that state and federal officials credited with dismantling a far-reaching drug smuggling ring, which is believed to be tied to the Sinaloa drug cartel – one of Mexico’s ( and now, thanks to the DHS, America’s) most powerful criminal gangster-groups. (AP/Pinal County Sheriffs dept photo)

On Monday, officials held a news conference announcing the supposed breakup of a Mexican drug cartel smuggling ring in Phoenix, Az. in which they proudly displayed hundreds of pounds of drugs and numerous guns they had seized during the Oct 13th bust. A mere five hours later, law enforcement officials clocked a car going 50 mph in a 15 mph school zone about 50 miles south of Phoenix, and a high-speed chase ensued when the car’s driver refused to pull over at the request of police. After reaching speeds of over 100 mph, and an attempt by the driver to run over a police officer trying to lay down stop sticks to end the chase, the driver crashed the car and jumped into a canal, where they captured him. The driver of the car was none other than the above-mentioned Mr. Morales, whom was arrested in the major drug smuggling bust just two weeks prior. How Mr. Morales ended up back on the streets of America just two weeks after being arrested in a major drug cartel bust is a very real example of the DHS’ failure to do their job and protect the citizens of America.

Mr. Morales had been arrested in a home tied to the drug cartel in the Oct. 13th bust in which numerous guns were found, yet prosecutors somehow claim they didn’t have enough evidence to convict him at the time, so they released him to the border patrol. It is the responsibility of ICE and DHS to prosecute him for felony reentry into the U.S. as Mr. Morales had already been deported at least once before. DHS then refused to prosecute him and turned him loose, where he was caught again in the high-speed police pursuit where Mr. Morales also tried to kill a police officer by running him over.

Released by DHS, illegal immigrant caught in U.S. with carload of drugs two weeks later.

The Department of Homeland Security‘s refusal to prosecute Morales for felony illegal reentry into the U.S put police officer’s and citizen’s lives in danger by letting him back on the streets. And this ludicrous example of the DHS’ criminality in refusing to enforce our laws does not end there. Just two weeks after DHS let this criminal back on the streets, he is caught running from the police… in a car loaded with 80 pounds of heroin and another 8 pounds of methamphetamine! The number of lives that would be ruined by the amount of drugs that DHS allowed [Mr. Morales] back onto the streets to peddle represents a very serious problem, if not an outright act of treason against American citizens.

One of the officers on the front line of this battle, Pinal County, Az, Sheriff Paul Babeu held a news conference in which he explained just what is going on down there. “Here we strike a body blow on the Sinaloa cartel, (and) they’re still operating in a robust fashion,” he said. “They can regenerate immediately.” He went on to add that there are no consequences for their illegal criminal actions. Thanks to DHS, people like Morales just keep on being released to further endanger American’s lives and well-being through their refusal to prosecute these criminals, as evidenced by this latest episode of the Obama administration’s appointed DHS chief, Janet Napolitano’s failure and refusal to uphold and enforce the law.Meanwhile, Napolitano continues to deny law enforcement officials the ability to identify and arrest illegal immigrants across America, as evidenced in the DHS/ DOJ/Obama mandated lawsuits against Arizona, Alabama and now South Carolina‘s state laws designed to protect their citizens from the likes of career criminals and illegal immigrant/invader Mr. Morales and the Sinaloa drug cartel.

While DHS, ICE and assorted law enforcement officials were quick to hold major press conferences to announce the recent arrest of 76 suspected dope smugglers, the seizure of 61,000 pounds of pot, 160 pounds of heroin, 210 pounds of cocaine, $760,000 dollars in cash and 108 weapons including assault rifles and shotguns in the dismantling of this drug ring that brought some $33 million worth of drugs a month into the western desert states for nationwide distribution, we also see that they let many of these criminals go free to regenerate the drug smuggling operation in a short two weeks. This is what happens in a country where the President is seen to be acting like a Socialistic dictator in bypassing Congress to enact laws by executive fiat, as Obama has done concerning illegal immigration laws recently. This problem is being magnified tenfold by the politically correct cowards of the U.S. Congress, whom refuse to use their duly enacted powers to bring the president to heel according to Constitutional law. How many American’s lives and families have to be destroyed by these Mexican drug cartels and the thousands of pounds of drugs they are distributing throughout America, before our elected officials will take a stand and demand that those breaking the law through the executive fiat-mandated DHS policies be thrown out of our government and brought up on charges?

Will the Obama-appointed DHS Chief, Janet Napolitano call a national press conference to announce how her new department rules mandated that ICE officials let Mr. Morales back on the streets to continue his drug-running operation in the U.S.? Don’t hold your breath. All we hear out of the DHS nowadays, is how our Southern border is more secure today than ever before. What a joke.
2012 just can’t get here fast enough!

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials Monday announced the arrests of 330 fugitive illegal aliens in one of the largest customs enforcement operations ever undertaken in South Florida. The arrests were made over a two-week period and involved Palm Beach, Miami-Dade and Broward counties. In an apparent slap at President Obama’s recent executive- amnesty orders that he is trying to implement once again by executive fiat, while completely ignoring the fact that Congress voted down his Dream Act, Michael Rozos, the Director of ICE’s Florida field office stated: "Our message is clear: The days when illegal aliens in this nation willfully ignore immigration judges’ orders are over." How refreshing it is to hear that a government agent is demanding that the rule of law in America be obeyed 24/7/365 ! Thank you Mr. Rozos. Warren Buffet received the "Medal of Freedom" for basically being nothing more than a political operative in support of Obama, so what say we give Mr. Rozos 10 Freedom Medals for keeping Floridians free from these illegal criminals and their effects on our economy and state programs before we end up 20 billion dollars in the red like the proud Illegal Sanctuary State of California:

Officials said the arrests are just a small portion of the nation’s backlog of immigration violators: about 597,000 total fugitives. The numbers are so large that South Florida’s enforcement teams are set to increase from five to seven later on this month. When DHS Secretary Janet napolitani says that our southern border is more secure than ever before in history based on the number of phony deportations,she is proven not only to be a mathematically-challenged propagandist but also proven to be a danger to this country. When JNP, (for Janet Napolitano the Propagandist) all you have to do to understand her manipulation is to watch the show Border Wars on the Nat-Geo channel.

In that show we see illegals caught trying to sneak into the country, actual convicted felons and drug smugglers, along with human traffickers that are caught near our border simply turned loose back to Mexico in a little known gimmick as "Voluntary Return." JNP then counts these voluntary returns as "deportations" to inflate the DHS statistics. When she claims that deportations are up by a whopping percentage, that is largely due to the fact that before her appointment as the DHS Dream-Act- Queen- by Barack Obama, they did NOT count people stopped at the border as being deported. A person caught while illegally entering the United States is not in fact "deported, but she knows this, yet uses it anyway to skew the deportation statistics. According to ICE/DHS statistics, there are over 500,000 fugitive illegal aliens in America today who simply ignored the Immigration Judge’s deportation order and are running loose in America in violation of federal law. This is also a huge part of the DHS hidden Dream Act fraud being played upon America today. When honorable state ICE and other law enforcement agencies arrest illegals they turn them over to the FEDS, who more times than not let them go simply if they promise to show up for an immigration hearing. Which they promptly ignore, so then we have the added cost burdens of filing felony fugitive warrants on them. Why in the hell not send them back to their host country immediately, as our original laws call for, instead of releasing them for years and then having to track them down? This appears to be a simple case of ignorance and incompetence from within DHS, UNLESS someone wanted to overload the system in order to collapse it to effect the very same "transformative change," as it states in the Rules for Radicals Marxist operators manual written by Saul Alinsky, and stated much-favored reading material of Barack Obama while in college.

There are currently estimated to be between 15 and 20 million illegal immigrants in America today. Considering that, contrary to the lies and propaganda spewed by the irresponsible vote-beggars of Congress, these illegals are crushing State’s budgets, especially Medicaid funding. Who do you think picks up the tab for the millions of illegal anchor babies born in this country year, after year, after year, Santa Claus? The Easter Rabbit? The Tooth Fairy? Lets get real here people . One simple example of Illegals costing taxpayers billions of dollars a year, thanks to the Congress critters who refuse to obey the law and deport them immediately upon discovery, WIC, the program for AMERICAN Women, Infants, and Children has now become MWIC, for Mexican Women Infants and Children, and we see the proof every single time we go to the grocery store here in Florida! There is basically only one requirement to get WIC coupons from our taxpayer-funded WIC program: Applicants must live in the state in which they apply. So much for the lies being told that illegals are just hard-working people who increase our revenues and are not a drain on our society there, isn’t it?

Thank you again Mr. Rozos, and all the brave ICE agents of Florida for trying to enforce immigration laws in Florida and deport them as mandated in said laws. Eventually the DHS Dream Act puppets that are ignoring federal immigration laws and the Congressional refusal to enact The Dream Act, should and hopefully will be brought up on charges one day soon. Just like in the U. S. Military, when a government official orders a subordinate to break the law, said official can be brought up on criminal charges. What say you Congress?

              27-year veteran ICE Chief Anthony Mangione arrested on child porn charges in Broward County Florida.

In related Florida immigration news, we see that the Director of the Florida ICE office in Miami was arrested on child pronography charges last Tuesday according to local media reports. Fighting child pornography was one of the tasks that the Miami ICE office. Another case of the fox being put in charge of guarding the hen-house there. In something that appears to be some kind of cover-up, ICE Chief Anthony Mangione’s arrest was documented in Broward County public records, but specific charges were not listed immediately. The FBI has found child pornography on his home computer after it was confiscated back in April as part of a child porn investigation.Mangione has been with ICE for 27 years and was soon set to retire. Now it appears as if he will be "retiring" to prison for several years, if these charges are proven correct. Federal officials at the Justice Dept and U.S. Marshall’s offices are refusing to comment, pointing to this as still being an ongoing investigation with possible future arrests. If this man is proven guilty, it is good to see him taken off the streets of Florida and away from our children.
