William Shakespeare wrote “Frailty, thy name is woman,” in his play “Hamlet.” With apologies to Shakespeare, I took liberties with his famous line when titling this article. But I just could not resist, given Dear Leader Barack Hussein Obama’s latest action.

It seems that yesterday (March 1, 2013), Obama pardoned seventeen people for “minor” offenses. Among those receiving a pardon was Larry Wayne Thornton of Forsythe, GA. Thorton’s offenses (of which he was convicted): possession of an unregistered firearm, and possession of a firearm without a serial number.

The pardons came on a Friday afternoon, so the MSM can ignore it, and Jay Carney and the White House can think of ways to place a positive spin on his actions.

Yes, this is the same Obama who, in January 2013, said, “If you want to buy a gun – whether it’s from a licensed dealer or a private seller – you should at least have to show you are not a felon or somebody legally prohibited from buying one. We should get tougher on people who buy guns with the express purpose of turning around and selling them to criminals. And we should severely punish anybody who helps them do this.” This is the same Obama that issued 23 executive orders in January to “curb gun violence.” And this is the same Obama that surrounded himself with children while signing the EOs.

We can add all of this to “Fast and Furious,” Obama’s Justice Department’s failed attempt at gun-running, the result of which caused the deaths of (at least) two American citizens.

And, while we’re at it, since when are “unauthorized acquisition of food stamps” and “false claims upon and against the United States” considered minor offenses? Alfor Sharkey and Jamari Salleh were convicted of these crimes. One of Obama’s primary speech points is the elimination or reduction of fraud. Here is yet another example of Obama’s hypocrisy.

And, since when has “unlawful use of a communication facility to distribute cocaine” become a minor offense? Lynn Marie Stanek was convicted on that one.

If there was ever an example of “Do as I say, not as I do,” this is it. What’s even more outrageous is that the lap-dog MSM will not call him on it, will not expose his hypocrisy.

While our lawmakers bemoan the availability of what they mistakenly call “assault weapons”, they completely ignore the real causes of all this violence. The causes of violence are cultural, not mechanical. These purveyors of edict pretend that guns are the problem, yet completely ignore the colossal number of depictions of truly nasty maiming and killing our youth are exposed to via various media 24 hours a day. These are the very same people who will exempt Hollywood from any responsibility, claiming that fiction depicted on the screen has no influence on folks, while at the same time spending millions and millions of dollars on thirty-second television commercials to get themselves re-elected because they KNOW that pictures influence people! The argument defies all reason and logic.

They are the same people who ignore the black on white youth mob violence occurring at alarming rates in our cities, who ignore the handgun violence in Chicago (a city with some of the strictest gun laws in the nation), and who rush to do something, no matter how ineffective it is so they can appear to have done something.

It is certainly true that it is not possible to legislate morality. It is equally true that people imitate what they see. If our political leaders exhibit a lack of honesty, integrity, and cooperation why do the expect the general public to act any differently? If our silver screen heroes are busy blowing up everything in sight on screen and being arrested for every form of debauchery off screen, how do we expect those who look up to them to act?

When our laws, the very founding documents of our governing system are ignored by our President, what example is there for the rest of us? When our religious and societal institutions are held up to ridicule on a daily basis by the popular media, what do they expect to occur? When it is illegal to teach moral principals in our schools, and discipline is removed, why is anyone shocked when some unbalanced individual shoots up a kindergarten? It is surprising worse things don’t happen more often.

Criminals, by definition, ignore the law. They have fine examples in our political leadership from the President on down. What on earth makes anyone think gun legislation will suddenly make any criminal obey the law? After all shooting up a kindergarten is already illegal.

You barely turn your television or radio on these days without hearing about the latest antics of the “occupy” wherever group. Over the past few days, I have been listening and watching the group in Dallas.

The thing that first caught my attention was when it was reported that a registered sex offender (who did not update his info) raped a 14-year-old runaway that showed up at the camp. Within just a couple of days the local Fox News station tagged along with the Dallas Police department on a welfare check of a 9 month old child. While filming the officers doing their job, one woman from the camp told the cameraman not to film her (while she was filming with her camera) because, in her words, “I hate Fox”. While the cameraman did his job capturing the news, another protestor ran interference trying to block the lens with either his hand or his entire body.

[On a side note I would like to applaud the Dallas police officer on the way he handled the situation. He let the protestors know that the news crew had the right to be there and not to interfere.]

One of the biggest complaints from the Dallas group has been the fact that some of the homeless community has been blending in their camp in order to get food and find shelter in one of the tents. There was one comment on the stations website that I could not resist sharing:

“Oh the irony.

We’re protesting income inequality. It’s no fair that others have more than we have.

What? You don’t have as much as we have and you’d like some of ours? Go fly a kite you slacker bum!”

Perhaps “irony” isn’t the right word. Maybe the more appropriate term is “hypocrisy”.”

The protestors are supposedly protesting greed, yet they do not want to share. Is it just me, or do these protestors sound like a bunch of 3-year-olds?

In another incident, a crew from the same local Fox station was doing a piece early one morning from a distance away when one of the protestors came over and started unplugging the power supply to their lighting equipment. The crew told him not to touch their equipment while the protester kept repeating “Don’t touch me” and continually unplugged their equipment. Finally the police had to intervene and let the protestors know that they could not interfere with the news crew or they could be arrested.

Since the protesters are against capitalism, corporations and freedom in general it seems, why do most all of them have new video cameras, laptops, and all kinds of other high tech gear and toys? The Dallas group even showed off their “Media tent” that they had to protect during a few thunderstorms that rolled through.

What do you guys think?  Is the president a hypocrite?  Is this all Bush’s fault?  Was Lou right to discuss socialism in this context?  And how much money should the Koch brothers being paying me, because I think they’re ripping me off.

Does this president just not get it? A better summation would be to say that yes, he does get it, he simply does not care!

President Obama, oh ye who proclaims we should all put this country before politics, arrogance shines bright upon thee!

The latest attempt of this president- who is the president of all American people- is nothing less than an intentional attempt to upstage the political process of this great nation. He refuses to accept the fact that being president does not mean it’s all about him! There is this thing called the will of The People! Though he has tried to circumvent every part of the process and legal procedures to push his agenda through, a road block was put in place that he could not go around.

September 7 has been the date scheduled for the next Republican presidential debate for quite some time now. Yet, this president decided that wasn’t important, so he sent a request to address Congress on the exact same night and time. While the claim has been that it was initially set in error, it does not take a genius to see through the lies.

One of the “defining” aspects of this president is that he is the first president to be socially connected with the latest technology, even going so far as to refuse to give up his personal blackberry when he was sworn into office. With a staff that is obviously watching every move of the Republican party as the 2012 election gets closer and closer, there is no doubt that this “scheduling conflict” was not a simple mistake.

The hypocrisy drips from his voice yet again. While in one breath he claims his address to Congress and the nation is of vital importance, because supposedly he finally “has a plan” to address the jobless situation. Putting Americans back to work is so urgent for this president! It is so very important, in fact, that he dropped a teaser on the American people that he will deliver his “jobs-creation plan” that will save our nation, but……… well, sorry America, we had to wait until his arrogancy returned from a lavish vacation at Martha’s Vineyard.

However, things have not gone according to plan for the president this time! Speaker of the House John Boehner denied his request. The fact that he does not like to be told “no” is the least of things that is sure to have upset the apple cart of said president.  It appears as though he’s realized he’s not going to get his way, and has since settled to present his “plan” on Thursday night. There in-lies the next basket of apples to topple over for the “leader” of the free world. Now he’s going  up against one of the greatest American past times- football! Not only is it football, but it is the start of the 2011-12 NFL football season.  He should at least be happy it’s not the opening night of baseball. Then he would have a situation of baseball and almost-apple-pie, with all his apples rolling about. That’s about as all-American as you can get! For a president who obviously hates anything to do with the things that make this country… well, all-American, he should count his blessings………errrrr…. lucky stars that it’s just football he’s competing with!

Yes, it is true- he is an avid sports fan, so this means he will miss the game to give his self-proclaimed earth-shattering speech, but considering the fact that here in the real world his speeches are less than interesting in the first place, and then the fact that all of America knows this is just going to be more of the same old canned rhetoric and stimulus proposals, there’s very little chance that anyone will watch he and his teleprompter make eyes at each other.  So with these facts laid out, it is probably safe to assume he is fit to be tied about right now!

All of this causes one to wonder what the atmosphere around the White House is like right about now! With the extra large helping of egg all over his face from this latest incident, things may be getting a little bit tense in those sacred halls! This might be a good time for someone to warn the staff to keep an eye out for the sudden plate sailing through the air from time to time.

That audacity of his went from hope to nope pretty quick. See what your arrogance gets you, Mr. President?

When a Republican man speaks his mind concerning a Democrat woman, he is accused of personally attacking her.

However, when the left personally attacks a woman on the right, you never hear a peep.

Once again, we are seeing a case of the liberal’s double standard tactics at its finest!

One of the hottest topics in the news currently is the ongoing feud between Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and Congressman Allen West, both from Florida.

Congressman West addressed the current issue with Congresswoman Wasserman-Schultz via email, in which he copied other leaders in Congress:

In response, the head of the Congressional Black Caucus said that they are “furious” with the email he sent, and will be speaking with Congressman West.

Several female lawmakers held a news conference demanding that Congressman West apologize.

Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, a Democrat from New York, said:

“His words were nothing more than personal attacks….it is “very ladylike to speak up for the values that you believe in.”

Congresswoman Maloney added that she hopes Speaker of the House John Boehner “disavows” Congressman West’s remarks.

Not to be outdone, Congresswoman Donna Edwards, another Democrat, said she was “shocked” by the “disgraceful” email sent by Congressman West. She also stated:

“Instead of engaging constructively in that debate, Representative West chose to resort to unprofessional, vitriolic and offensive personal attacks — shame on him.”

Where were all of these female lawmakers during the numerous personal attacks against Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann?  I have not heard a single one of them stand up and demand that apologies be given to either of these ladies, both of who have been on the receiving end of numerous personal attacks. I’ve never heard Congresswoman Maloney compliment either of these ladies with compliments for “speaking up for the values they believe in.”

Once again, the hypocrisy of the left is absolutely disgusting!

After years of denial or dismissal from the left, the mask of Hollywood has finally come off. However, it is not something that I imagine the “elite” of Tinsel Town really expected.

In interviews with what they thought to be a liberal reporter (because, come on- any “good” reporter worth sitting down with is liberal, right??) several Hollywood producers used words such as “idiots” and “medieval minds” when referring to conservatives.

In reality, all it takes is a baseball cap with a liberal college logo-  Harvard- and the fact that the reporter’s last name is “Shapiro”, and you have the perfect scene for the latest expose’ of the liberal agenda.

Mr. Shapiro conducted the interviews for his book, Primetime Propaganda: The True Hollywood Story of How the Left Took Over Your TV, which was just released this past Tuesday.

In reading what these executives had to say in the interviews with Mr. Shapiro, what I find more than just a little bit amusing is how in this day and age where you can find out anything about anyone with just a few keystrokes on a computer, it does not appear that very many, if any of the 39 Hollywood executives interviewed bothered to “google”  the name Ben Shapiro. As Mr. Shapiro states,

“Most of them didn’t Google me. If they had, they would have realized where I am politically,” he said. “I played on their stereotypes. When I showed up for the interviews, I wore my Harvard Law baseball cap — my name is Ben Shapiro and I attended Harvard, so there’s a 98.7 percent chance I’m a liberal. Except I happen not to be.”

So it doesn’t look like the elite know so much after all!

One thing that I find quite interesting is how these people who claim to be so “tolerant” of others show their true colors! The truth is they are “tolerant” of people that have the same views as they do, but as soon as someone comes along who does not agree with their agenda they are not so tolerant after all.

Just more proof of the hypocrisy of the left.

Another video Shapiro will release shortly has producer-director Nicholas Meyer being asked point-blank whether conservatives are discriminated against in Hollywood. “Well, I hope so,” he answers. Meyer also admits his political agenda for “The Day After,” a TV movie he directed for ABC that was seen by 100 million people when it aired in 1983.

Wow! I’m guessing Mr. Meyer was not counting on that statement being made public!

I also find it very interesting that liberals have no problem at all pushing their agenda, yet if we conservatives- especially God-fearing, Bible believing, gun-toting conservatives just so much as breathe our beliefs or want to make a movie about our beliefs we are called bigoted, racists, extremists, and any other derogatory name they can think of.

The bottom line comes down to this: if you are a conservative with dreams of becoming a Hollywood star, you would do best to keep your mouth shut about your political beliefs or just find another dream to pursue.

Or, another idea: I say the conservatives in Hollywood ban together and revolt against this leftist agenda! In the modern age of the Internet, Netflix, and other options who needs the left? Who needs the network TV stations? And for that matter, who needs Primetime TV? There’s very little that comes out of Tinsel Town worth watching at all anymore anyway! On the rare occasion that something decent DOES come out it is canceled after half a season, or a complete season at most!

The leftist agenda has indeed taken over what is produced for TV. They have completely “dumbed down” what once was quality entertainment.  Just like everything within the leftist agenda it’s been a slow process. But the slippery slope that began forty years ago has been quite successful. We are now left with “reality shows” and we call that entertainment.

I say let the leftist liberals continue their agenda on Primetime TV. Let Hollywood continue the downward spiral into the abyss they seem to crave. We conservatives can put our money- advertising funds, production funds, funds for conservative actors- whatever it takes- to create a conservative entertainment outlet. What that is I don’t know- I am a writer, not a movie or TV producer. But I know with the collective minds of the conservative movement the answer is out there!
