Two Wrongs ≠ A Right

gop-extinct ObamaIt pains me to criticize Republicans acting aggressively on their own behalf, because lately it’s been rare. Sometimes it appears national GOP leadership would be content to emulate the panda and sit contentedly munching bamboo shoots in a special preserve where one is protected from predators and challengers alike.

There is some indignity involved when the media pokes and prods you with questions regarding your sex life. And it is disquieting knowing the Chinese own you body and soul. But in its entirety the situation would not be all that different from that of the debt–ridden USA.

Besides, once a species is practically extinct trend–setters put your face on cool coffee mugs and fashionable people throw parties on your behalf. Unfortunately, we already have the panda so there is little room for Republicans in the National Zoo. Still our “leadership” continues this death–wish behavior.

But consistency and intellectual honesty compel me to take aggressive Virginia Senate Republicans to task for the redistricting ambush they sprang on Democrats last week.

You may recall the Virginia Senate is evenly split: 20 Republican members and 20 Spendacrats, with Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling there to break any ties. A minor GOP House redistricting bill had been languishing in committee for some time. Although not exactly in a persistent vegetative state, the bill wasn’t at the top of anyone’s legislative agenda. But that was before Sen. Majority Leader Thomas K. Norment Jr. (R–The Re–Animator) went to work.

The bill metamorphosed from an innocuous housekeeping bill into a Pearl Harbor equivalent all out attack on Senate Dems.

The bill concentrates minority voters in a new Southside district and alters almost all other Senate district lines. According to Dems interviewed by the WaPost, the new lines would make eight districts distinctly more Republican — and since six of the seats are currently held by Dems — the new lines have the potential to result in significant GOP gains in November’s election.

As an added bonus, the bill puts two incumbents — R. Creigh Deeds (D–Lost My Race for Gov) and Emmett W. Hanger Jr. (R–Who Did I Anger?) in the same district where only one will survive.

Norment knew he could not depend on Bolling to break a tie on the new bill, because the Big Bill has been acting squishy lately. So the majority leader had the legislation waiting in the weeds until Sen. Henry L Marsh III (D–I was 3 before RGIII) left Richmond to attend the Dear Leader’s celebration.

With Marsh absent, the bill passed 20 to 19.

WaPost editorialists set their vituperators on ‘stun’ and described the event thusly, “The Republican move was executed in the style of a putsch, arising from a conspiracy and with no warning, public input or debate. “ Which sounds suspiciously like the regulation writing process at EPA and is reason enough to oppose the effort.

They continued, “Unlike the GOP dominated House of Delegates, the Senate has been in Democratic (sic) hands or closely divided since 2007. The Republican gerrymander, which could deliver several seats to the GOP, would change that at a stroke.”

What the WaPost doesn’t say is the former redistricting bill, authored by Dems, is also grossly gerrymandered and designed to protect Dem incumbents. For example, Prince William County — where I live — in the words of County Executive Corey Stewart, is “carved up like a Christmas Turkey.” The third most populous county in the state doesn’t even have its own senator. Instead it is split between five different Senate districts, which only serves to dilute PWC influence.

Needless to say, Dems are outraged and they have a point. Using a temporary political advantage to ram an extremely controversial bill through a legislative body is bad long–term policy. It was bad when Obama rammed Obamacare through a lame duck Senate before Republican Scott Brown was sworn in. It will be bad policy if US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D–Prevaricate) violates established Senate rules to change the filibuster procedure and punish Republicans.

And it’s bad policy in Richmond.

What’s more, the repercussions threaten to put a Saslaw–sized Jersey barrier in front of Gov. Bob McDonnell’s transportation plan. After the redistricting bill was passed, Senate Minority Leader Dick Saslaw (D–Hoppin’ Mad) said the governor’s transportation bill was dead and so was any hope of cooperation from Senate Dems.

And here is the trilemma: if McDonnell vetoes the bill it makes Senate Dems happy, while at the same time offending Senate Republican leadership. If the governor could depend on every GOP Senator to vote for his transportation bill, he could hold his nose and sign the redistricting bill. But unanimous GOP support is not a given. On the other hand, vetoing the bill could mean his transportation plan never gets out of committee in the Senate.

There is a third way that doesn’t put the governor on the spot and still gives the redistricting bill a decent Christian burial. Saslaw and Speaker Bill Howell (R–In the Driver’s Seat) could work out a behind–the–scenes deal where the bill is killed in the House in return for Saslaw guaranteeing Senate Dem votes for the transportation plan that Howell is sponsoring in the House. But then again, if the House kills the Senate’s bill, angry GOP senators may take revenge by killing pet projects of House members.

I won’t shed any tears for the demise of the governor’s transportation plan for reasons outlined here, but the Commonwealth is in need of a good transportation program. The Senate’s redistricting bill is an unnecessary complication that may thwart that goal and makes Republicans look unethical.

It’s times like these that the governor should be glad Virginia is still in the liquor business.

Harry Reid, Why Are You Furious with John Boehner’s “Plan B;” It’s A Democrat Plan in Republican Disguise!

Beohner if we must destropy nation

Harry Reid is up in arms over John Boehner’s “Plan B,”  insisting the plan will hurl America over the fiscal cliff and force the nation to default its loans.

Memo to Harry Reid: America is $16 trillion in debt. I think it’s safe to assume you leaders defaulted America when we passed the $1 trillion mark.

Furthermore, if you’re going to feign indignant outrage, don’t do it over John Boehner’s liberal Democrat actions. Boehner’s no different than you Harry: You’re both sticking it to the people!

Reid gives the finger

As to Speaker Boehner, he’s is nothing more than a liberal Democrat in GOP clothing. He has no intentions of demanding deep tax-and-spend cuts or he never would have agreed to the 2011 debt ceiling hike.  If Boehner truly wanted to cut spending, he would have called the Democrat’s bluff:  Demand they cut billions from  government-funded programs like Planned Parenthood. Nancy Pelosi’s facelift would hit the floor, but, calling for deep cuts in areas taxpayers do not want to fund is the kind of demands conservatives want, not tax-hikes on the wealthy, as Boehner’s “Plan B” demands.

Despite “Plan B” being nothing more than anti-wealth  socialist collectivism, Reid says:

Speaker Boehner’s ‘plan B’ is the farthest thing from a balanced approach. It will not protect middle class families because it cannot pass both Houses of Congress. The Senate bill is the only ‘plan B’ that can be signed into law and prevent taxes from rising by $2,200 on the average middle-class family. Now is the time to show leadership, not kick the can down the road. Speaker Boehner should focus his energy on forging a large-scale deficit reduction agreement. It would be a shame if Republicans abandoned productive negotiations due to pressure from the Tea Party, as they have time and again.

Give me a break! John Boehner lays down and rolls over for Obama and spending hikes like a Paris Hilton sex video!

I’m surprised Harry Reid isn’t praising “Plan B;” it’s progressive Democrat legislation: More tax-and-spend hikes on millionaire earners that will trickle down to the middle class, creating more job and business losses and more government dependency.

Reid is angry. He  says “John Boehner seems to care more about keeping his speakership than keeping the nation on firm financial footing.” If I didn’t know better I would say Harry was talking about himself and every other leader serving unconstitutional life terms.

Its obvious Harry Reid doesn’t spend much time around Speaker Boehner or Reid would realize they are two of a kind:  They care more about their careers than serving the country and fixing America’s economy.

Reid and Boehner

Still, Reid is in a huff over Boehner’s tax-hiking fiscal cliff standoff.  As if any legislative standoff will stop the bill-shoving Obama from hiking taxes on   American earners in 2013.

Reid blames Boehner, insisting he is pushing America over the fiscal cliff with a plan that terminates Bush-era tax-cuts to those earning $250,000 and under. Reid says this debacle could be avoided if only Boehner would concede to Senate legislation.  Political translation: Concede to Harry Reid. America’s dilemma: All Boehner ever does is concede.

America has a debt crisis both parities contributed to.  None of these spendaholic leaders ever admits that America goes over the fiscal cliff every time the Federal Reserve cuts interests rates too low, over prints worthless paper, and the federal government over spends, lends and borrows what it cannot repay.

That didn’t stop Reid from calling Boehner a “dictator” who won’t go against the GOP, because Boehner caterers to his fellow Republican leaders:

The American people I don’t think understand the House of Representatives is operating without the House of Representatives. It’s being operated by a dictatorship of the speaker, not allowing the vast majority of the House of Representatives to get what they want…If the 250 [cut-off for income tax votes] were brought up, it would pass overwhelmingly.

Furthermore, Reid insists “what goes on [in the GOP] shouldn’t be decided by the majority, it should be decided by the whole House of Representatives.”

Reid never made that statement when Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the House. Nor will Reid admit his statements reflect the way President Obama pushes bills into law without a “majority” Congressional consent.

As to dictators, most leaders in Washington are dictators, the reason many Americans dislike the modern-day government. Both parties have become power-grabbing life-termed aristocrats who care more about party loyalty than working to preserve, uphold, and defend the Constitution.  That’s why the Tea Party started.

Reid himself  admitted to the Senate that conservatives are sick and tired of Boehner:

He has so many people over there [in the GOP] that won’t follow what he wants, That’s obvious from the debacle that took place that week [with Tea Party leaders saying no to “Plan B”]. And it was a debacle. It was so bad, he was in such difficult shape there, he wouldn’t even allow a vote to take place with his Republicans because he knew he would lose.

Boehner cartoon

Conservative House members are furious with Boehner because he silenced their votes, removed their committee seats, trashed the Tea Party, and acts like Harry Reid:  He legislates as Democrat and compromises to Obama.

Boehner has not presented one, single plan that significantly cuts spending, decreases the deficit, and reduces taxes for every American.

According to The Economist:

“Plan B” is a bill that hikes taxes only for income over $1 m[illion] per year, with no other spending measures or tax compromises…Mr. Boehner’s Plan B is an attempt to defray blame for the fiscal cliff onto Democrats, but if the country actually goes over the cliff, Plan B is unlikely to shield Republicans. Pressure from business groups and from taxpayers to reach a compromise deal before the economy suffers serious damage will become immense.

Hiking taxes on millionaires will crush middle class businesses that earn $1-$5 million before taxes. “Plan B” is another compromise for government programs to continue spending billions through taxes and  increasing debt as America defaults.

Both Reid and Obama should be jumping for joy; John Boehner has been a gift to the DNC: He’s just like Harry Reid, a liberal Democrat.

Nancy Pelosi, “Deems” Herself Minority Leader: We are Now Venezuela

Well, how wonderful of Ole’ Nan!!!   How arrogant of Ole’ Nan!!!  She announced that “by the will of the caucus”, by “ACCLAMATION of the caucus”, she will stay on as a reluctant but willing minority leader in the House of Representatives.  She “deemed” herself Minority Leader.    How NICE of her!!  How Chavez of her!!!  After the 2010 election she at least went through the appearance of a vote when Heath Schuler ran against her to give the “Blue Dog Democrats” cover.  She doesn’t need the Blue Dogs any longer, nor do they feel the need to pretend to be with We the People, so she just tosses them by the wayside.  Now she just “deems” herself perpetual ruler of the caucus.  Steny Hoyer, you will never be anything more than Ole Nan’s footstool, lapdog, errand boy.  Isn’t this how dictators behave?  Don’t they just “deem” their agenda to be the “will of the governed”?  The same Harry Reid who said just before the election that Romney’s agenda, should he win, was “DOA” in the Senate, now speaks of “bi-partisanship and cooperation”?  How stupid does someone have to be to not see what is happening?  Barack Obama now goes to the United Nations and offers the United States as subservient of their New World Order, and wants them to run the gun control treaty back by us.  Obama also suddenly has a trip to Moscow scheduled.  He now has “more flexibility”.  No one can be blind any longer, NO ONE!!!

The dictatorship is in place, and what do we get from McConnell, Boehner, and the rest of the Republican Party???  They grovel at the feet of tyrants and blame the TEA Party, We the People, for their defeat.  Back in 2010 the same TEA Party that was “THE” factor in the Republican landslide was dismissed as “a minor part” of the victory.  Republicans won in spite of distancing themselves from the true patriots in this nation.  The ever senile John McCain and his left wing buddy Lindsey Graham now come out talking tough about “investigations” of Benghazi.  Give me a break!!!!  More posturing for the cameras, just as in the Fast and Furious hearings I assume?

Boehner and the rest of the establishment, including the inside-the-beltway “conservative media” Peggy Noonan, Bill Kristol, Karl (Marx) Rove, among others, grovel at the feet of these dictators.  Instead of dismissing conservatives this time, Republicans and their media talking heads now blame the very people they claim to represent for the defeat of Republican liberalism. “Conservatives are the problem” is the excuse they use to explain a pathetic campaign by a pathetic candidate.  Six million conservatives did not vote. I think that is the wrong approach but I understand why they did not vote for Romney.

I have been writing about this for almost 3 years and nothing has changed for the better.  The Republican Party moves left as fast as the Democrat Party.  McConnell and Boehner even groveled when they won in 2010, just not quite so blatantly.  They sat around and whined that they only had “one half of one third of government” so they couldn’t really accomplish anything.  Now they can’t do anything because Obama got reelected and they “must compromise”.  How convenient!!!

The Republican establishment will never offer us another Reagan.  They lost that one and have been working hard ever since to insure they can keep their “baby brother” status.  They want to play golf and posture for the cameras without really doing anything.

Boehner now speaks of “tax reform”.  Every time I hear a Republican talk of reforming taxes my taxes go up, and I do not belong to the wealthy class by a long stretch.  They have no desire to fulfill the wishes of We the People, but rather their own personal power, prestige, and wealth.  The current Republican Party and their supporting cast in the media are only interested in having a seat in the back of Obama’s Chavez Express.  They want face time on television, people wanting to write books about them, and the prestige of being “the honorable” (I don’t address them that way) Senator/Congressman Hedgehog.

Romney was a more pathetic candidate than McCain and hired the very same consultants to run the very same campaign.  The same “go along to get along” attitude that got us into this mess isn’t going to get us out of it.  Not interested in any prime farm land south of New Orleans, thanks!!!  Republicans have not yet realized that reaching across the aisle only results in a bloody stump coming back, and tax paying citizens getting the shaft.  Or is it that they know but just don’t care because it doesn’t affect them in a negative fashion?

All of you “let’s give the Republicans another chance” folks might want to re-evaluate your position.  Just as Chavez took control in Venezuela with a compliant “opposition party”, Obama is taking control of the United States with a compliant “opposition party” that really isn’t in opposition. The word complicit seems to fit the Republican Party more than the word opposition.

Vladimir Lenin, Adolph Hitler, Fidel Castro, Mao Tse Tung, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, and Hugo Chavez didn’t do their despotism alone.  All of them had cronies who helped, and in many cases were labeled the “opposition” when they were truly complicit.  As I have been saying for the last three years, we have a despotic political party and a party who is willing to surrender anything and everything as long as they are allowed at the trough with the despots.

We the People of the United States are merely pawns in a power play that will end in poverty and slavery for all but the wealthiest of Americans.  The very poor who support the endless handouts will find out, as have others in the past, that they will never benefit from the policies that promise them everything yet delivers very little.  The “very little” is about to run out and those who are the most dependent on government will be the ones who suffer the most.  It happens in every dictatorship.

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

Harry Reid in 1995: I Think We Should Audit the Fed

Yesterday the House of Representatives  finally voted on, and passed, Ron Paul’s signature legislation the Audit the Fed bill, by a vote of 327-8. The bill had wide bi-partisan support; 89 Democrats joined all but 1 of the House Republicans in voting for the bill.

Despite the broad bi-partisan support the bill has, it will be dead upon arrival at the Senate, because Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has vowed not to bring the bill to a vote.

But apparently, that’s not always how Harry Reid has felt about auditng the federal reserve.

Video from 1995 that has recently surfaced shows that at one time, Harry Reid felt very strongly that the Federal Reserve should be audited:

I have sponsored legislation every year that would call for an audit of the Federal Reserve system. I offer that amendment every year, every year it gets nowhere. I think it would be interesting to know about the Federal Reserve. I think we should audit the Federal Reserve — it‘s taxpayer’s money that’s being used there. But we don’t do that.

Watch Reid’s comments, in their entirety, below:

Harry Reid: Increase Taxes to Reduce Them?

As the debt limit fight comes to a head, Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid seems confused – he is requiring tax increases in order to discuss tax cuts.

The CBO reported to Congress that if they allow the Bush tax cuts to expire and implement the defense cuts resulting from the Reid’s failure to negotiate on spending, the economy would drop into recession in 2013.

Congress is looking at the butt end of a car they drove into a ditch by following Obama’s lead and putting it firmly into “D for Drive” even though that muck-filled crevasse was but a short distance ahead. Now the Democrats are willing to drag that car through the ditch on the way to a cliff.

Arguments of austerity vs. taxation are nothing new, but now Harry Reid is waging taxation against itself in a highly-circular argument.

Reid (D-NV) signaled Tuesday that he will allow the automatic spending cuts and tax increases called for in last year’s debt deal to go into effect unless Republicans agree to tax increases. Reid said that if Republicans want to walk away from the deal made last year by extending the Bush tax cuts, “they will have to work with Democrats to replace them with a balanced deficit-reduction package that asks millionaires to pay their fair share.”

Reid is basically saying that he will allow the tax increase to happen unless Republicans agree to raise taxes. There is no situation in which Reid seems to be ready to negotiate – it’s tax increases or nothing for the failing leader of a non-productive Senate.

Reid protects illegal aliens taking taxpayer funds

Reid Objects To Bill Closing IRS Tax Credit Loophole For Illegal Aliens

Sen. Sessions and Louisiana Senator David Vitter spoke on the Senate floor today to explain a tax loophole that allows illegal aliens to wrongfully claim more than $4 billion a year in child tax credit for dependents, many of whom don’t even live in the United States, and to ask unanimous consent to call up and pass legislation that would close this loophole (which the Treasury Department’s independent Inspector General for Tax Administration has asked Congress to do in the absence of administrative action). But, as seen in the video above, Majority Leader Harry Reid blocked the effort. Closing the loophole would save taxpayers at least an estimated $4 billion per year, or roughly $10 million per day. – released by Senator Sessions on May 22nd, 2012

How The Left Sees Seniors?

This weeks headlines: Harry Reid says support the Post Office because (in part) Seniors Love to get Junk Mail. It keeps them in communication with the outside world.

I’ll be honest. I laughed when I read this. Ninety-nine percent of my junk mail goes immediately into the recycling bin…that is after I shred all the unwanted credit applications.

But I’m not a senior. Yet. So I shared this with my ‘slightly’ older friends. One, who lives in a retirement neighborhood, wrote back how insulted she was. She put bulk mail in the same category as phone solicitations -neither fit into her schedule. Of course, she didn’t write immediately because she was at pottery class while her husband was out exercising. I also thought of my parents, who do claim their senior citizenship. I couldn’t talk to them about it as they are in the middle of the Arizona desert prospecting gold and photographing wildlife, out of cell phone reach. And let me just say, Mom’s last email began with OMG… They’re not waiting for the postman, to communicate with the world.

Who sits at home waiting for junk mail? The closest I could think of was my mother-in-law who suffered from Parkinson’s Disease. Its debilitating effects did keep her home and limited activities outside. Yes, I remember she always asked about the mail. Yet, she was looking for letters from the kids and her siblings; not an enlightening article advertising the merits of liposuction.

In general the seniors I know are a busy lot. They take advantage of their free time with hobbies, travel, spending time with family. Heck, many are still working. So Senator Reid’s comment makes me wonder if he speaks from personal experience or if this idea that seniors are feeble and homebound is something more related to a Progressive philosophy where elderly people have limited abilities.

Remember the health care debates? Or the left response to Paul Ryan’s Medicare modification plan (which would not affect those over 55)? Progressives claimed that the GOP wants to Throw Granny Off A Cliff while  President Obama , ironically, clearly indicated his thoughts whether seniors should have the same quality of care as others. Give Granny A Pill

There is no doubt that ‘end of life’ care might be different from ‘retiree care’ but these comments cause one to question the general attitude. Does the government think it knows what’s best for the folks? Or a better question, does this current administration listen to and understand the wants and needs of its citizens? Or is this administration, as Harry Reid appears to be, out of touch? When Team Obama accidentally shares its true agenda including its thoughts on those who might not be seen as productive workers we should take heed.

Perversion Rampant in America: Sponsored By Obama and Congress

Can things really get any worse in our nation? Planned Parenthood, “the bastion of breast cancer screening”, is beginning their “National Condom Week” today, Wednesday February 15, 2012. How asinine can anyone get to have a national condom week and celebrate it with such ballyhoo? Is Mr. Condom a national hero or something? Congressional Medal of Honor winner, maybe? Inventor of some life-saving device that will revolutionize life in America and the world?

Martin Luther King only has one day, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln have to share a day, and Condom gets an entire week to himself? What genius thought this up? Only a person with a heart as black as Satan’s could come up with a plan such as this to pervert our children and only people with hearts as black as Satan’s could stand by and let it happen without so much as a whimper of protest.

Sadly Mr. Condom is a perverted character created and honored by Planned Parenthood to destroy another generation of children. In the video, “Hooking Kids on Sex”, they have a section showing 10 year olds how to masturbate and how to install a condom for sexual intercourse. HELLOOOOOOO!!!! Is teaching them to read, write, and count too much trouble or are those just insignificant items the kids don’t need any more?

The real kicker to this is that my tax money, and your tax money, is paying for this trash. Is there anyone in Washington today with any brains or morals at all? Why is this going on? Where are Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, and Ron Paul on this? Rick Santorum has stood up and spoken out against the Obama regime’s immoral despotism; and all he gets is grief from the propaganda arms of both political parties and his fellow “conservatives” in the presidential primary race and the so-called “conservative” media.

Where are John McCain and Lindsey Graham on “National Condom Week”? Are they still trying to figure out how they voted to remove the military restrictions against sodomy and bestiality in the National Defense Authorization Act of 2011? Where are John Boehner and Mitch McConnell? As Sgt. Carter used to say to Gomer Pyle: “I can’t hear you!!!!!”

Where are the conservatives in Congress who seem to have lost their voices since Obama took over and became Dictator-in-Chief and President for Life of the National Socialist State of Amerika? How many adult men and women are in prison or on sexual predator lists for less offensive actions than this? Is this part of the Islamification of America? Islam hangs homosexuals but an adult man “teaching” a 10 year old boy about sex is just fine. Hypocrisy and perversion go hand-in-hand in the Muslim world. Is this the reason we are seeing this happen here, getting us ready?

The federal government is out of control and no one in Washington is doing anything to stop it. We hear little mouse squeaks from time to time but nothing really substantial, nothing to stand up and cheer about. An entire generation of Americans is being taught perversion and immorality without any opposition from anyone in Congress, the courts, or the media. Our elected “leaders” sit by quietly and allow this to go on because they are afraid of being called “racist” or “closed minded” or “intolerant”? Where are the leaders in government? (Hint: the Republicrats are hiding under their desks not wanting to be seen or heard on this).

The sad truth is that our government is staffed with evil, self-centered, narcissistic despots who are more interested in their own well-being than that of the citizens of this once great nation. As happened in Venezuela we are seeing a despot run over members of Congress who are either so evil that they are complicit or so cowardly evil they are afraid to speak up for fear of receiving criticism from the “enlightened” media.

Hell has come to America and we are seeing it in National Condom Week and the Komen foundation backing down from a moral stance to appease the most evil people in the world. Judgment is coming to America and we find our nation trying to “go along to get along” with the most evil, black hearted people to ever walk the face of this earth.

Adolph Hitler murdered 12 million innocent Jews, Christians, Gypsies, Slavs, Poles, Homosexuals, etc. during his reign of terror in Europe. How many innocent babies has Planned Parenthood murdered while Congress and multiple presidential administrations not only stood by and watched, but gladly paid for those murders? Now the goal is to expand into perverting and sexually abusing our children, and using We the People to pay for it.

Appeasing evil is never a winning proposition. We finally destroyed Adolph Hitler and his evil regime but only after Neville Chamberlain’s “peace in our time” brought the world to the brink of destruction and cost the lives of an estimated 100 million people.

Our federal government is a diseased animal that needs a dose of anti-biotic strong enough to kill the germs that infect it. We can no longer stand by and allow this to happen to our children. The most innocent of our nation are being sold into slavery, the slavery of perversion that they may never recover from.

If this is allowed to stand then I demand that every child molester and child rapist be immediately released from prison. How can men and women be held in prison for sex crimes while this is allowed to happen unfettered; and even condoned by our country’s elected “leaders” and paid for by tax money?

The worst element in all of this is the apathy of the American people. Who will bother to write to demand something be done? Who will call their member of Congress to insist they charge Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Kathleen Sebelius, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, John McCain, et al. with genocide, taking indecent liberties with a minor, child sexual assault, and a host of other criminal charges?

Unless We the People stand up and take an active role of leadership in America we are going to very soon find ourselves living in the FEMA camps they built in 2009 under SB 645, and are staffing right now with money provided by the National Defense Authorization Act of 2011. If American citizens; Christians, Jews, and even atheists and agnostics can’t see what is wrong with this then we are indeed a nation lost to Satan.

To show how much our nation suffers from apathy let me give you an example. I was running for a local school board position, a first-timer in a political race, and lost to the incumbent by a substantial margin. As disappointed as I am to have lost the race I am more disappointed in how I lost. There are in the neighborhood of 10,000 eligible voters in this school district. How many votes were cast? 368, or 3% of eligible voters. If I had won the election I would be only slightly happier. The depth of “I don’t care” from the voters of this nation is the most disappointing thing of all to me. Judgment will fall heavier on those who do nothing than it will on those who fight the battle. Even if those of us willing to fight the battle lose the battle, we will still have stood up for what Jesus called “the least of my flock”.

As our nation teeters on the edge of oblivion only a small percentage of those who can vote will vote. Many of those casting ballots in November will be either corpses or fictional cartoon characters. Such a sad commentary for a nation forged in the blood of those who were willing to die for even a glimpse of a chance to vote for their future.

A “shining city on a hill” has become a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah, ripe for the judgment of God and subjugation by an evil so dark it makes a black hole in space look like the sun.

Copies of this are going to the entire Oklahoma Congressional delegation. I hope you will do the same in your state. Stand up now, tomorrow will be too late.

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

Payroll Tax Cut : House GOP Call Harry Reid’s Bluff

The battle to extend the payroll tax cuts until the end of this year has reached a very welcome milestone recently. The House Republican leadership announced a clean tax cut extension bill yesterday, that does not include the added unemployment extensions nor the extension of the medicare “doc fix” that has been required since the passage of Obama-care, (which lowered the payments received by health-care providers in order for Obama to claim that the passage of Obama-care would result in the reduction the national debt.)  The GOP is calling Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (LD-NV)  bluff by dropping any demands for offsets to pay for the tax cut extension.  Speaker Boehner is calling for a vote on the bill this week, depending on how the rank and file House Republicans react to it.

Daniel Horowitz offers the GOP some very sage advice in moving forward on the unemployment extensions and medicare “doc fix” after forcing Harry Reid to bring the clean tax cut extension to the Senate floor for a vote: (emphasis added)

They (Republicans) are leaving out the entitlement spending extensions and daring Senate Democrats to oppose their clean tax cut – one that they have “championed” for the past few months.

Going forward, Republicans must stand strong against pressure to slip the entitlement spending into the payroll tax cut deal.  Once they are free from the burden of shooting the hostage (the tax cut), they should negotiate hard for the rest of the package.  They should be guided by the following principles:

  • No extension of UI benefits unless UI is permanently reformed to reflect a real insurance program, not a European-style social welfare program.
  • No extension of doc fix until Medicare is permanently reformed with free-market solutions to bring down the broader costs and preempt the need for doc fix or any payment formula.
  • Both extensions must be paid for with real offsetting cuts during the period of the extension, not over 10 years.
  • We should be working on a long-term solution for the payroll tax now, so we won’t fall into the same trap next December when we will be forced into another ineffectual short-term stimulus type of tax cut.

Now if Senate Republicans will just follow the House’s lead and show some backbone in blocking Harry Reid’s sure-to-come counter-proposal, Republicans will gain the leverage needed to deal with the never-ending federal unemployment benefits and the doc fix without adding to the destructive debt-cycle Democrats have put America into over the last 3-plus years of trillion-dollar deficits. Senator Mitch McConnell? You and Senate Republicans are soon to be the next in line to step up to the plate and reinforce the House Republicans clean tax cut extension bill. Don’t strike out. America is watching.

Payroll Tax Cut : House GOP Call Harry Reid's Bluff

The Question of Obama’s Eligibility to Serve as President Picks Up Steam

The question of the eligibility of Barack Obama to appear on the 2012 Presidential ballot has picked up steam as lawsuits have been filed in Federal and State District Courts to force the Democrat National Committee, its Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid to show positive proof that Obama meets the parameters laid out by the Constitution of the United States of America to hold said office. These events have somehow escaped the eagle eyes of the main stream media, but have been widely reported throughout the internet news media.

The Liberty Legal Foundation/Dummett lawsuits center around the citizenship of Obama’s father and the “natural born citizen” statute found in Article II Section 1 Paragraph 5 of the United States Constitution. Unlike similar lawsuits that have failed in the past, Mr. Dummett has been granted standing by the Ninth Circuit Court due to his candidacy for the office of President of the United States of America. Mr. Dummett is also suing the Democrat National Committee and its representatives rather than suing government entities as has been done in the past.

In hearings before the Ninth Circuit Court in San Francisco, the justices determined Mr. Dummett could be harmed by a candidate not constitutionally eligible to run for the office of President. The court allowed Liberty Legal and Mr. Dummett to proceed with their suits, declaring Mr. Dummett has standing as a legally registered candidate for the office.

One report on this issue comes from the site Maggie’s Notebook on December 30, 2011,  which lists excerpts of the actual filing by Liberty Legal Foundation’s Van Irions as well as copies of the forms submitted by the DNC in 2008. The wording of the 2008 forms has been brought into question as two copies differ in the wording of the certification of candidate Obama. The lawsuit filed by Liberty Legal seeks to enjoin the DNC and any Democrat official from certifying Obama as an eligible candidate without first proving he is indeed eligible according to the provisions laid out in the Constitution.

Lawsuits have been filed by Mr. Dummett and Liberty Legal Foundation in The United States District Court for the District of Arizona , and in the Chancery Court for the State of Tennessee . Copies of the suits can be seen at the links listed above.

In a related story, New York voter Robert Laity on December 2, 2011 filed a “Challenge Petition” with the New York State Board of Elections, alleging that Obama’s 2008 election resulted from fraud and that he is not eligible to appear on the ballot in 2012. According to the Post & Email article Laity has also been in contact with New York governor Andrew Cuomo and his state senator, Mark Grisanti, on this matter. The Post & Email blog site conducted an interview with Mr. Laity that can be found at this link, along with correspondence Mr. Laity has exchanged with Governor Cuomo’s office.

In Georgia, Carl Swensson and Kevin Richard Powell have filed a separate lawsuit, also contending Barack Obama does not meet the “natural born citizen” requirement of the Constitution and asking that Obama’s name not be allowed to appear on the ballot of the State of Georgia. The suit also asks that they be considered separately from several others who have filed similar lawsuits in Georgia. Liberty Legal Foundation is also involved in the Georgia suit, which is scheduled to be heard on January 26, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

A related story at the Politics Today website details Obama’s Occidental College transcripts, including Obama’s Fullbright Scholarship, requiring a student to certify that he/she is a foreign student. The story at Politics Today also documents Obama’s passport and travel history. They also reported that the Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments on a case brought by Leo Donofrio of New Jersey concerning Obama’s eligibility to serve as President. This is one of many lawsuits over Obama’s eligibility, including those brought by Liberty Legal Foundation and Dummett.

Efforts to contact the DNC, Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schutlz, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, and Sen. Harry Reid were met with an array of “go away and don’t bother us” tactics. The DNC representative knew nothing about this matter, and when asked to be put through to someone who does know, the CDN reporter was put on hold and then heard a dial tone. The staff at the offices of the members of Congress said that not only did they not know about this matter, they did not talk about any issue not directly related to constituent needs.

Debt Ceiling To Be Raised Again?

The Obama administration will reportedly ask Congress later this week to raise the nation’s debt ceiling by $1.2 trillion according to a Treasury Department official.

The request is the third of three authorized by the debt ceiling agreement reached last August. The request is expected to come on December 30, the day the debt is projected to fall within $100 billion of the current $15.194 trillion ceiling. The United States also has $82 billion in interest payments due on December 30, 2011. The new request asks that the ceiling be raised to $16.39 trillion. The ceiling was raised by $400 billion when the agreement was signed and by another $900 billion last September.

According to the terms of the agreement, Congress has 15 days to pass a joint resolution disapproving of an increase, which President Obama is authorized to veto. Congress does not resume their legislative session until January 17, 2012, well beyond the 15 day limit for a Congressional disapproval vote, and a Democrat controlled Senate is almost certain to refuse to oppose the raise in the level of debt.

The new debt ceiling is expected to satisfy U.S. debts until the end of next year, according to the Treasury Department official.
