Harry Reid believes paying taxes in America is “voluntary”. This is a man that has been a Senator for 26 years! He is currently the Majority Leader in the United States Senate! The fact that he has been elected to office so many times is astounding! He is the poster boy for term limits!

So, ultimately, you can’t “cheat” on your taxes, but, it’s still “voluntary”! This is a special kind of stupid!

Harry Reid is bemoaning the fact that Ted Cruz is not willing to play ball according to the (Democrat) rules on the floor. Reid calls Cruz a schoolyard bully, and points out that since he’s on the losing end, Cruz he should stop trying to force debate outside of standard order of business. In simple English, Reid is upset that Cruz is doing his job for his constituents, and refusing to allow the Democrats to push through a budget without legitimate debate, as opposed to the nonsense that fits in standard rules of order – you know, the kind of thing that lead us to the infamous Pelosi statement, “you’ve got to pass it to know what’s in it.”

While there is a bill text, it’s already been posited at least by Hot Air’s Allahpundit that this is essentially meaningless. The bill introduced by Senator Harry Reid wasn’t really read by anyone, and likely will not be the bill that is voted on in the end, if the Senators do not take the warning from the NRA. The whole letter offered by the organization on this bill:

Dear Senator,

I am writing regarding the National Rifle Association’s position on several firearms-related proposals under consideration in the Senate.

S. 649, the “Safe Communities, Safe Schools Act of 2013”, introduced on March 21, contains a number of provisions that would unfairly infringe upon the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding gun owners. This legislation would criminalize the private transfer of firearms by honest citizens, requiring friends, neighbors and many family members to get government permission to exercise a fundamental right or face prosecution. The NRA is unequivocally opposed to S. 649.

In addition, the NRA will oppose any amendments offered to S. 649 that restrict fundamental Second Amendment freedoms; including, but not limited to, proposals that would ban commonly and lawfully owned firearms and magazines or criminalize the private transfer of firearms through an expansion of background checks. This includes the misguided “compromise” proposal drafted by Senators Joe Manchin, Pat Toomey and Chuck Schumer. As we have noted previously, expanding background checks, at gun shows or elsewhere, will not reduce violent crime or keep our kids safe in their schools. Given the importance of these issues, votes on all anti-gun amendments or proposals will be considered in NRA’s future candidate evaluations.

Rather than focus its efforts on restricting the rights of America’s 100 million law-abiding gun owners, there are things Congress can do to fix our broken mental health system; increase prosecutions of violent criminals; and make our schools safer. During consideration of S. 649, should one or more amendments be offered that adequately address these important issues while protecting the fundamental rights of law-abiding gun owners, the NRA will offer our enthusiastic support and consider those votes in our future candidate evaluations as well.

We hope the Senate will replace the current provisions of S. 649 with language that is properly focused on addressing mental health inadequacies; prosecuting violent criminals; and keeping our kids safe in their schools. Should it fail to do so, the NRA will make an exception to our standard policy of not “scoring” procedural votes and strongly oppose a cloture motion to move to final passage of S. 649.

Debate on the bill is scheduled to start immediately after the mid-day recess. As for fallout over Republicans crossing the aisle on this issue, it appears so far that they are willing to gamble with their NRA support. As for a Toomey and Manchin bill, as stated at HotAir, most likely that will come in the form of amendments to the Reid bill.

President Obama is likely to focus on immigration reform – something that is much more likely to yield bi-partisan support than most of the items he focused on during his two terms. The White House is confident that growing numbers of Hispanic voters, many who watch Spanish language television, will help to pressure Congress into passing an immigration reform bill.

Obama has publicly supported legislation that would seek a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants already in the United States.

Obama had spent most of the first part of 2013 trying to paint sequestration as a doomsday device put in-play by Republicans despite press reports and noted journalist Bob Woodward’s expose demonstrating that the White House pushed for sequestration. Recently, the White House cancelled tours of “The People’s House” and threatened the East Lawn Easter Egg Hunt pointing to sequestration as the cause – all while Joe Biden had been taking weekend trips back home, the Obama’s continued to vacation like Hollywood elites, and the Vice President blew over a half-million on a hotel stay in Paris.

The Administration’s attempts to show that budget cuts are painful failed miserably. Sequestration didn’t actually cut the budget, it only reduced the size of recent increases in federal spending of tax payer dollars. With only minuscule cutbacks coming from sequestration, no real change to services or the economy are palpable. Obama’s credibility has taken a tremendous hit as his fiscal cliff turns into a non-event.

The President had also spent the last few months pushing for an outright Federal gun ban. Limitations on shotguns, pistols and incorrectly-labelled “assault weapons” were desired by the Commander-in-Chief – until now. With Harry Reid not wanting to lose his seat as Senate Majority Leader, he was forced to pull the gun ban from the gun bill – instead focusing on background checks and enforcement. Sen. Reid did not want to force Democrats from rural states to have to vote on a gun ban bill which would just about guarantee lost Democrat Senate seats and a Republican Majority Leader come 2014.

This month, even more negative impacts of Obamacare have been brought to the attention of Americans. More doctors are retiring early, fewer are seeking medical careers, the costs of the legislation are skyrocketing, healthcare claims costs will rise 32% on average and more than 80% in some states.

Obamacare, gun control and the budget – all important and highly-visible issues with voters. All issues the President would have liked to have define his Presidency. All of them not headed in directions in Obama’s favor. But not all of them the most important.

According to a March 26th Gallup poll, the economy, federal spending and healthcare are the top three issues with American voters. Obama is now pivoting away from federal spending, trying to pretend Obamacare isn’t really as bad as recent press says it is and has been failing on the economy overall since taking office.

Serving in his second term, President Obama presides over a nation more divided than any time since the 1960′s. Racial tensions, class warfare, and an economy taking much longer than expected to recover have left America with a melting pot in shambles. Hoping to prevent a two-term legacy of outright failure, Obama is seeking to use Spanish language television to get at least one thing accomplished that may be looked upon favorably in history’s eyes.

I just read a story that made my skin crawl. Barack Obama has declared that the federal government will send federal agents into states to take over their insurance industry if they don’t surrender to Obamacare and set up the exchanges demanded by the regime. Obamacare was passed in 2009 using bribery and arm twisting, topped off by a complete perversion of the legislative process. It was opposed by a huge majority of We the People and reconciliation was used in a total disregard for the normal legislative process. This action led to the TEA Party uprising in 2010 that saw Republicans sweeping elections across the nation.

Now Obama brazenly stands up there and says that We the People have absolutely no voice in how we attend to our own health care. This is bold, in your face, tyranny. This is treason!!! Obama and his cadre of Marxists have once again thrown the Constitution out the window and said “I demand this…..!!!!!” or “I will by-pass Congress and do as I wish”. Now he has decided to by-pass the state governments and the very voice of the people. Is this not the definition of a dictatorship?

We either live by the Constitution or we live by the dictates of Der Fuhrer and his band of cutthroats. The sad fact is that the ”leadership” of both political parties, the “ruling elite”, have joined forces with Obama to subjugate the population. We now find “universal firearm registration” becoming much more acceptable to the Republican Party establishment, no surprise there. All the noise about the assault weapons ban was a smoke screen for universal registration. As soon as they know where all the weapons are they don’t need to ban them, they can just come out and confiscate them. This is tyranny!!

Barack Obama has declared that he will dictate how we obtain and pay for our own health care, and he will send his armed agents to enforce it. Any guess as to where a lot of the DHS purchases will be going??? The 10th Amendment doesn’t mean any more to these people than does the 2nd Amendment. He will send his Gestapo agents into each state and just take over the industry, he will “nationalize” the insurance industry.

Anyone who opposes this dictator will be dealt with by “federales”. In 2010, Oklahoma voters rejected Obamacare in a 70%-30% vote. Obama says what we want doesn’t matter and that he will impose his will on us by using armed federal agents to insure compliance.

This is not a battle between Democrat and Republican; it is a battle between Good and Evil, between We the People and a tyrannical government. They are already giving massive amounts of military hardware to city and state law enforcement agencies. Some sheriffs and police chiefs have said they will stand with Obama but many have said they will stand with We People.

The few people in Congress who speak up for the Constitution are pilloried by people on both sides of the political “aisle”. Personally, I don’t see an aisle between the parties. The federal government, in the name of Der Fuhrer Barack Obama, has announced its decision to subjugate its citizens. They no longer make any pretense of “looking out for our best interests” and have gone right to threatening to sending armed agents to impose their will on what is supposed to be a free people.

Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Benito Mussolini did this very thing when they seized control of their nations. Anyone who refused to comply with the dictator was either bribed or intimidated into submission, or replaced (read that: shot). As of now we have come to the point of “we refuse and they replace”. How long before they step in somewhere else? The federal government has been far too involved in our everyday lives for years. Now that a majority has bucked up and said “whoa Hoss!!”, Obama and his cutthroats are going to just send in their Gestapo agents to enforce the dictate.

The question is, what are the states going to do???? Are the governors and other elected officers of these states going to accede to the demands of the dictatorship or are they going to stand up for the Constitution? Are they going to honor their oath of office and their pledge to We the People???

Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John Doak has said he does not have the authority to enforce federal laws and will not do so. What will Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin and the Republican controlled legislature do??? Will they step up and use state law enforcement to prevent this act of treason or will they roll over and give in??? If they will surrender our 9th and 10th Amendment rights today what happens when the “federales” get finished with the 2nd Amendment?

If Congress, both political parties, and the governors of the threatened states, allow Obama to get away with such a blatant act of tyranny where will it stop?? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know what happens when a small group of people can use force to impose their will on the majority of the population.

And what about those states not directly affected by this? Do you think this doesn’t affect you? I remember a quote from Pastor Martin Niemoller in which he mentioned all the times people were trampled on by the Nazi government and he said nothing because it wasn’t him. Then they got to him and he was alone. We all must stand together now or there won’t be any standing together later because many of us will be gone.

Now is the time for the governors to get together and create a plan of action against this blatant tyranny. Many sheriffs have said they will stick with We the People, and We the People will stick by their sides. The time for party politics is gone. This is about the liberty of the citizens of the United States of America. The noose is tightening around our necks and the ruling political class is tightening it as fast as they can because they see the citizens waking up. They see citizens beginning to make serious preparations for an all-out assault on our freedom by a dictatorial oligarchy in Washington, D. C. (De Cesspool) and they are moving as fast as they can to head off any ability of said citizens to oppose them.

The people are mobilizing to fight off the activities of a government overstepping its Constitutional bounds while most of our elected officials, in both political parties, band together to remove our only means of protection, the 2nd Amendment.

This action by the regime will abolish the 9th and 10th Amendments; universal firearm registration will abolish the 2nd Amendment. The 4th Amendment against illegal search and seizure had been trampled to death numerous times in the last few years. Our Republic is on the verge of oblivion and dictatorship is on the horizon. Obama, Boehner, McConnell, Reid, Pelosi, McCain, Graham, Cantor, Schumer, and the rest are not going to just give up when they are a whisker away from the absolute control they have been seeking. Their behind-the-scenes handlers won’t allow it either. The window for a peaceful resolution is rapidly closing.

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

Tom Harkin (D-IA) decided to bolt from the U.S. Senate, as did Jay Rockefeller (D-WV). However, why are safe Democrats retiring from the U.S. Senate? Rockefeller and Harkin, for example, could’ve been there for life. Is it because Sen. Harry Reid is making things so miserable that stalwarts of the left, like Harkin, are crying “uncle”? The Washington Post‘s Jennifer Rubin thinks so, and said to watch for three more retirements as 2014 draws nearer.

Keep an eye on Sens. Carl Levin (D-Mich.), Tim Johnson (D-S.D.) and even Dick Durbin (D-Ill.).

Then, of course, John Kerry has decamped for Foggy Bottom and Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) may find it hard to finish his term. These last two departures mean the Democrats’ margin gets much tighter and the opportunity to ram through progressive legislation diminishes even further.

Pols who come to Washington to “make a difference” — which for liberals means passing legislation — must find Reid’s Senate deadly dull. Rarely do votes get taken. There hasn’t been a budget in over three years. Reid is likely either to whittle down antigun legislation to the bare bones or block it entirely. The president looks anxious to scuttle immigration reform before it starts. In short, Democratic senators do very little. (How they get reelected doing so little is beyond me.)

At least Republicans see their mission as playing defense 24/7. Stay alert. Don’t let more damage be done. Think how to minimize the debt. It’s not grand, but it is challenging and invigorating in a way. Democrats, on the other hand, have to be content to do nothing.

So it is a wonder more Democrats don’t leave. This year Virginia has a gubernatorial race that Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) could win in a heartbeat. In 2014 gubernatorial races abound. Democrats will be term-limited out in Massachusetts, Arkansas and Maryland. There will be competitive races against potentially vulnerable GOP incumbents in states such as Florida, Maine and Pennsylvania.

However, while Sen. Mark Warner would handily win the 2013 Virginia gubernatorial race, he has said he’s not interested in another term as governor. As for Dick Durbin, he said back in 2012 that he may retire in “two years,” which leaves room for Republican Congressman Aaron Schock to possibly mount a run for the seat. Upon the announcement that Sen. Jim DeMint was leaving, WaPo’s Chris Cillizza noted that Carl Levin will be 80 in 2014, and “ended September with less than $300,000 in the bank. Of course, Levin was the subject of retirement rumors in 2008, ignored them and cruised to victory.” However, Cillizza added that the state’s party dynamics guarantee that Michigan will remain in Democratic hands.

However, this was a slow-moving snowball. When Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN) retired citing the partisan gridlock, most shrugged it off. Then, Olympia Snowe (R-ME) decided to jump ship citing similar reasons. On a side note, it’s funny how moderates complain about partisanship, but then think leaving will solve the issue. However, this was during the time when unserious budget proposals were brought before the Senate floor, with Harry Reid blocking every Republican pro-economic bill that came his way.

Liberals need to do something to make themselves feel like they’re making a difference. However, with Reid clogging the spotlight all the time, it’s no wonder why the older guard is deciding to collect their congressional pension, and make a bee line for the door.

Sometimes it appears national GOP leadership would be content to emulate the panda and sit contentedly munching bamboo shoots in a special preserve where one is protected from predators and challengers alike.

There is some indignity involved when the media pokes and prods you with questions regarding your sex life. And it is disquieting knowing the Chinese own you body and soul. But in its entirety the situation would not be all that different from that of the debt–ridden USA.

Besides, once a species is practically extinct trend–setters put your face on cool coffee mugs and fashionable people throw parties on your behalf. Unfortunately, we already have the panda so there is little room for Republicans in the National Zoo. Still our “leadership” continues this death–wish behavior.

But consistency and intellectual honesty compel me to take aggressive Virginia Senate Republicans to task for the redistricting ambush they sprang on Democrats last week.

You may recall the Virginia Senate is evenly split: 20 Republican members and 20 Spendacrats, with Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling there to break any ties. A minor GOP House redistricting bill had been languishing in committee for some time. Although not exactly in a persistent vegetative state, the bill wasn’t at the top of anyone’s legislative agenda. But that was before Sen. Majority Leader Thomas K. Norment Jr. (R–The Re–Animator) went to work.

The bill metamorphosed from an innocuous housekeeping bill into a Pearl Harbor equivalent all out attack on Senate Dems.

The bill concentrates minority voters in a new Southside district and alters almost all other Senate district lines. According to Dems interviewed by the WaPost, the new lines would make eight districts distinctly more Republican — and since six of the seats are currently held by Dems — the new lines have the potential to result in significant GOP gains in November’s election.

As an added bonus, the bill puts two incumbents — R. Creigh Deeds (D–Lost My Race for Gov) and Emmett W. Hanger Jr. (R–Who Did I Anger?) in the same district where only one will survive.

Norment knew he could not depend on Bolling to break a tie on the new bill, because the Big Bill has been acting squishy lately. So the majority leader had the legislation waiting in the weeds until Sen. Henry L Marsh III (D–I was 3 before RGIII) left Richmond to attend the Dear Leader’s celebration.

With Marsh absent, the bill passed 20 to 19.

WaPost editorialists set their vituperators on ‘stun’ and described the event thusly, “The Republican move was executed in the style of a putsch, arising from a conspiracy and with no warning, public input or debate. “ Which sounds suspiciously like the regulation writing process at EPA and is reason enough to oppose the effort.

They continued, “Unlike the GOP dominated House of Delegates, the Senate has been in Democratic (sic) hands or closely divided since 2007. The Republican gerrymander, which could deliver several seats to the GOP, would change that at a stroke.”

What the WaPost doesn’t say is the former redistricting bill, authored by Dems, is also grossly gerrymandered and designed to protect Dem incumbents. For example, Prince William County — where I live — in the words of County Executive Corey Stewart, is “carved up like a Christmas Turkey.” The third most populous county in the state doesn’t even have its own senator. Instead it is split between five different Senate districts, which only serves to dilute PWC influence.

Needless to say, Dems are outraged and they have a point. Using a temporary political advantage to ram an extremely controversial bill through a legislative body is bad long–term policy. It was bad when Obama rammed Obamacare through a lame duck Senate before Republican Scott Brown was sworn in. It will be bad policy if US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D–Prevaricate) violates established Senate rules to change the filibuster procedure and punish Republicans.

And it’s bad policy in Richmond.

What’s more, the repercussions threaten to put a Saslaw–sized Jersey barrier in front of Gov. Bob McDonnell’s transportation plan. After the redistricting bill was passed, Senate Minority Leader Dick Saslaw (D–Hoppin’ Mad) said the governor’s transportation bill was dead and so was any hope of cooperation from Senate Dems.

And here is the trilemma: if McDonnell vetoes the bill it makes Senate Dems happy, while at the same time offending Senate Republican leadership. If the governor could depend on every GOP Senator to vote for his transportation bill, he could hold his nose and sign the redistricting bill. But unanimous GOP support is not a given. On the other hand, vetoing the bill could mean his transportation plan never gets out of committee in the Senate.

There is a third way that doesn’t put the governor on the spot and still gives the redistricting bill a decent Christian burial. Saslaw and Speaker Bill Howell (R–In the Driver’s Seat) could work out a behind–the–scenes deal where the bill is killed in the House in return for Saslaw guaranteeing Senate Dem votes for the transportation plan that Howell is sponsoring in the House. But then again, if the House kills the Senate’s bill, angry GOP senators may take revenge by killing pet projects of House members.

I won’t shed any tears for the demise of the governor’s transportation plan for reasons outlined here, but the Commonwealth is in need of a good transportation program. The Senate’s redistricting bill is an unnecessary complication that may thwart that goal and makes Republicans look unethical.

It’s times like these that the governor should be glad Virginia is still in the liquor business.

Harry Reid is up in arms over John Boehner’s “Plan B,” insisting the plan will hurl America over the fiscal cliff and force the nation to default its loans.

Memo to Harry Reid: America is $16 trillion in debt. I think it’s safe to assume you leaders defaulted America when we passed the $1 trillion mark.

Furthermore, if you’re going to feign indignant outrage, don’t do it over John Boehner’s liberal Democrat actions. Boehner’s no different than you Harry: You’re both sticking it to the people!

As to Speaker Boehner, he’s is nothing more than a liberal Democrat in GOP clothing. He has no intentions of demanding deep tax-and-spend cuts or he never would have agreed to the 2011 debt ceiling hike. If Boehner truly wanted to cut spending, he would have called the Democrat’s bluff: Demand they cut billions from government-funded programs like Planned Parenthood. Nancy Pelosi’s facelift would hit the floor, but, calling for deep cuts in areas taxpayers do not want to fund is the kind of demands conservatives want, not tax-hikes on the wealthy, as Boehner’s “Plan B” demands.

Despite “Plan B” being nothing more than anti-wealth socialist collectivism, Reid says:

Speaker Boehner’s ‘plan B’ is the farthest thing from a balanced approach. It will not protect middle class families because it cannot pass both Houses of Congress. The Senate bill is the only ‘plan B’ that can be signed into law and prevent taxes from rising by $2,200 on the average middle-class family. Now is the time to show leadership, not kick the can down the road. Speaker Boehner should focus his energy on forging a large-scale deficit reduction agreement. It would be a shame if Republicans abandoned productive negotiations due to pressure from the Tea Party, as they have time and again.

Give me a break! John Boehner lays down and rolls over for Obama and spending hikes like a Paris Hilton sex video!

I’m surprised Harry Reid isn’t praising “Plan B;” it’s progressive Democrat legislation: More tax-and-spend hikes on millionaire earners that will trickle down to the middle class, creating more job and business losses and more government dependency.

Reid is angry. He says “John Boehner seems to care more about keeping his speakership than keeping the nation on firm financial footing.” If I didn’t know better I would say Harry was talking about himself and every other leader serving unconstitutional life terms.

Its obvious Harry Reid doesn’t spend much time around Speaker Boehner or Reid would realize they are two of a kind: They care more about their careers than serving the country and fixing America’s economy.

Still, Reid is in a huff over Boehner’s tax-hiking fiscal cliff standoff. As if any legislative standoff will stop the bill-shoving Obama from hiking taxes on American earners in 2013.

Reid blames Boehner, insisting he is pushing America over the fiscal cliff with a plan that terminates Bush-era tax-cuts to those earning $250,000 and under. Reid says this debacle could be avoided if only Boehner would concede to Senate legislation. Political translation: Concede to Harry Reid. America’s dilemma: All Boehner ever does is concede.

America has a debt crisis both parities contributed to. None of these spendaholic leaders ever admits that America goes over the fiscal cliff every time the Federal Reserve cuts interests rates too low, over prints worthless paper, and the federal government over spends, lends and borrows what it cannot repay.

That didn’t stop Reid from calling Boehner a “dictator” who won’t go against the GOP, because Boehner caterers to his fellow Republican leaders:

The American people I don’t think understand the House of Representatives is operating without the House of Representatives. It’s being operated by a dictatorship of the speaker, not allowing the vast majority of the House of Representatives to get what they want…If the 250 [cut-off for income tax votes] were brought up, it would pass overwhelmingly.

Furthermore, Reid insists “what goes on [in the GOP] shouldn’t be decided by the majority, it should be decided by the whole House of Representatives.”

Reid never made that statement when Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the House. Nor will Reid admit his statements reflect the way President Obama pushes bills into law without a “majority” Congressional consent.

As to dictators, most leaders in Washington are dictators, the reason many Americans dislike the modern-day government. Both parties have become power-grabbing life-termed aristocrats who care more about party loyalty than working to preserve, uphold, and defend the Constitution. That’s why the Tea Party started.

Reid himself admitted to the Senate that conservatives are sick and tired of Boehner:

He has so many people over there [in the GOP] that won’t follow what he wants, That’s obvious from the debacle that took place that week [with Tea Party leaders saying no to “Plan B”]. And it was a debacle. It was so bad, he was in such difficult shape there, he wouldn’t even allow a vote to take place with his Republicans because he knew he would lose.

Conservative House members are furious with Boehner because he silenced their votes, removed their committee seats, trashed the Tea Party, and acts like Harry Reid: He legislates as Democrat and compromises to Obama.

Boehner has not presented one, single plan that significantly cuts spending, decreases the deficit, and reduces taxes for every American.

According to The Economist:

“Plan B” is a bill that hikes taxes only for income over $1 m[illion] per year, with no other spending measures or tax compromises…Mr. Boehner’s Plan B is an attempt to defray blame for the fiscal cliff onto Democrats, but if the country actually goes over the cliff, Plan B is unlikely to shield Republicans. Pressure from business groups and from taxpayers to reach a compromise deal before the economy suffers serious damage will become immense.

Hiking taxes on millionaires will crush middle class businesses that earn $1-$5 million before taxes. “Plan B” is another compromise for government programs to continue spending billions through taxes and increasing debt as America defaults.

Both Reid and Obama should be jumping for joy; John Boehner has been a gift to the DNC: He’s just like Harry Reid, a liberal Democrat.

Well, how wonderful of Ole’ Nan!!! How arrogant of Ole’ Nan!!! She announced that “by the will of the caucus”, by “ACCLAMATION of the caucus”, she will stay on as a reluctant but willing minority leader in the House of Representatives. She “deemed” herself Minority Leader. How NICE of her!! How Chavez of her!!! After the 2010 election she at least went through the appearance of a vote when Heath Schuler ran against her to give the “Blue Dog Democrats” cover. She doesn’t need the Blue Dogs any longer, nor do they feel the need to pretend to be with We the People, so she just tosses them by the wayside. Now she just “deems” herself perpetual ruler of the caucus. Steny Hoyer, you will never be anything more than Ole Nan’s footstool, lapdog, errand boy. Isn’t this how dictators behave? Don’t they just “deem” their agenda to be the “will of the governed”? The same Harry Reid who said just before the election that Romney’s agenda, should he win, was “DOA” in the Senate, now speaks of “bi-partisanship and cooperation”? How stupid does someone have to be to not see what is happening? Barack Obama now goes to the United Nations and offers the United States as subservient of their New World Order, and wants them to run the gun control treaty back by us. Obama also suddenly has a trip to Moscow scheduled. He now has “more flexibility”. No one can be blind any longer, NO ONE!!!

The dictatorship is in place, and what do we get from McConnell, Boehner, and the rest of the Republican Party??? They grovel at the feet of tyrants and blame the TEA Party, We the People, for their defeat. Back in 2010 the same TEA Party that was “THE” factor in the Republican landslide was dismissed as “a minor part” of the victory. Republicans won in spite of distancing themselves from the true patriots in this nation. The ever senile John McCain and his left wing buddy Lindsey Graham now come out talking tough about “investigations” of Benghazi. Give me a break!!!! More posturing for the cameras, just as in the Fast and Furious hearings I assume?

Boehner and the rest of the establishment, including the inside-the-beltway “conservative media” Peggy Noonan, Bill Kristol, Karl (Marx) Rove, among others, grovel at the feet of these dictators. Instead of dismissing conservatives this time, Republicans and their media talking heads now blame the very people they claim to represent for the defeat of Republican liberalism. “Conservatives are the problem” is the excuse they use to explain a pathetic campaign by a pathetic candidate. Six million conservatives did not vote. I think that is the wrong approach but I understand why they did not vote for Romney.

I have been writing about this for almost 3 years and nothing has changed for the better. The Republican Party moves left as fast as the Democrat Party. McConnell and Boehner even groveled when they won in 2010, just not quite so blatantly. They sat around and whined that they only had “one half of one third of government” so they couldn’t really accomplish anything. Now they can’t do anything because Obama got reelected and they “must compromise”. How convenient!!!

The Republican establishment will never offer us another Reagan. They lost that one and have been working hard ever since to insure they can keep their “baby brother” status. They want to play golf and posture for the cameras without really doing anything.

Boehner now speaks of “tax reform”. Every time I hear a Republican talk of reforming taxes my taxes go up, and I do not belong to the wealthy class by a long stretch. They have no desire to fulfill the wishes of We the People, but rather their own personal power, prestige, and wealth. The current Republican Party and their supporting cast in the media are only interested in having a seat in the back of Obama’s Chavez Express. They want face time on television, people wanting to write books about them, and the prestige of being “the honorable” (I don’t address them that way) Senator/Congressman Hedgehog.

Romney was a more pathetic candidate than McCain and hired the very same consultants to run the very same campaign. The same “go along to get along” attitude that got us into this mess isn’t going to get us out of it. Not interested in any prime farm land south of New Orleans, thanks!!! Republicans have not yet realized that reaching across the aisle only results in a bloody stump coming back, and tax paying citizens getting the shaft. Or is it that they know but just don’t care because it doesn’t affect them in a negative fashion?

All of you “let’s give the Republicans another chance” folks might want to re-evaluate your position. Just as Chavez took control in Venezuela with a compliant “opposition party”, Obama is taking control of the United States with a compliant “opposition party” that really isn’t in opposition. The word complicit seems to fit the Republican Party more than the word opposition.

Vladimir Lenin, Adolph Hitler, Fidel Castro, Mao Tse Tung, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, and Hugo Chavez didn’t do their despotism alone. All of them had cronies who helped, and in many cases were labeled the “opposition” when they were truly complicit. As I have been saying for the last three years, we have a despotic political party and a party who is willing to surrender anything and everything as long as they are allowed at the trough with the despots.

We the People of the United States are merely pawns in a power play that will end in poverty and slavery for all but the wealthiest of Americans. The very poor who support the endless handouts will find out, as have others in the past, that they will never benefit from the policies that promise them everything yet delivers very little. The “very little” is about to run out and those who are the most dependent on government will be the ones who suffer the most. It happens in every dictatorship.

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

Yesterday the House of Representatives finally voted on, and passed, Ron Paul’s signature legislation the Audit the Fed bill, by a vote of 327-8. The bill had wide bi-partisan support; 89 Democrats joined all but 1 of the House Republicans in voting for the bill.

Despite the broad bi-partisan support the bill has, it will be dead upon arrival at the Senate, because Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has vowed not to bring the bill to a vote.

But apparently, that’s not always how Harry Reid has felt about auditng the federal reserve.

Video from 1995 that has recently surfaced shows that at one time, Harry Reid felt very strongly that the Federal Reserve should be audited:

I have sponsored legislation every year that would call for an audit of the Federal Reserve system. I offer that amendment every year, every year it gets nowhere. I think it would be interesting to know about the Federal Reserve. I think we should audit the Federal Reserve — it‘s taxpayer’s money that’s being used there. But we don’t do that.

As the debt limit fight comes to a head, Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid seems confused – he is requiring tax increases in order to discuss tax cuts.

The CBO reported to Congress that if they allow the Bush tax cuts to expire and implement the defense cuts resulting from the Reid’s failure to negotiate on spending, the economy would drop into recession in 2013.

Congress is looking at the butt end of a car they drove into a ditch by following Obama’s lead and putting it firmly into “D for Drive” even though that muck-filled crevasse was but a short distance ahead. Now the Democrats are willing to drag that car through the ditch on the way to a cliff.

Arguments of austerity vs. taxation are nothing new, but now Harry Reid is waging taxation against itself in a highly-circular argument.

Reid (D-NV) signaled Tuesday that he will allow the automatic spending cuts and tax increases called for in last year’s debt deal to go into effect unless Republicans agree to tax increases. Reid said that if Republicans want to walk away from the deal made last year by extending the Bush tax cuts, “they will have to work with Democrats to replace them with a balanced deficit-reduction package that asks millionaires to pay their fair share.”

Reid is basically saying that he will allow the tax increase to happen unless Republicans agree to raise taxes. There is no situation in which Reid seems to be ready to negotiate – it’s tax increases or nothing for the failing leader of a non-productive Senate.

Sen. Sessions and Louisiana Senator David Vitter spoke on the Senate floor today to explain a tax loophole that allows illegal aliens to wrongfully claim more than $4 billion a year in child tax credit for dependents, many of whom don’t even live in the United States, and to ask unanimous consent to call up and pass legislation that would close this loophole (which the Treasury Department’s independent Inspector General for Tax Administration has asked Congress to do in the absence of administrative action). But, as seen in the video above, Majority Leader Harry Reid blocked the effort. Closing the loophole would save taxpayers at least an estimated $4 billion per year, or roughly $10 million per day. - released by Senator Sessions on May 22nd, 2012
