Missouri Law Enforcement Shared Gun Owners’ Private Information With Feds

Missouri Highway patrol give concealed carry info to feds

The NRA has long held the belief that universal background checks and the retaining of even more information could lead to a national registry of gun owners. Now, the Missouri Highway Patrol may have proven the firearm advocacy group’s fears to be well-founded.

On Thursday, the Missouri State Highway Patrol admitted that it has provided a list of Missouri concealed gun permit holders to a federal investigator – an acknowledgement demonstrating the dangers of even more invasive gun laws.

The list was provided on computer disks to a federal investigator looking into Social Security fraud. The investigator was unable to read the disks and ended up destroying them.

Although the federal government never used the information, the fact that gun owner data was given to authorities not specifically investigating a gun crime shows that the NRA’s fears are not unfounded. Any time the federal government asks, they can get a list of who owns guns – a move gun rights advocates see as a mere shuffle-step from confiscation.

Highway Patrolman Ron Replogle testified to a State Senate committee that the investigator requested a list of Missouri’s concealed firearm permit holders to determine if there were any on the list claiming to be mentally ill. The link would allow the federal government to establish that the permit holder was illegally in possession of such a permit or not actually disabled.

Several in the Missouri State Senate have expressed outrage. Sen. Dan Brown (R – Rolla) exclaimed that the debacle was “a big breach of public trust.” Sen. Kurt Schaefer (R – Columbia)  believes that the sharing of the entire database “crosses the line between law enforcement activity to profiling through intelligence gathering.”

This most recent admission of feeding private citizens’ information to the federal government comes after Missouri Governor Jay Nixon (Dem) found himself defending the disclosure of Missourian’s Driver’s License information being given to the Department of Revenue. “This state of Missouri is not collecting a bunch of unuseful data to send to some sort of magical database someplace to mess with people. It’s not happening.”

Now the Missouri State Highway Patrol may be unraveling the beleaguered Democratic Governor’s statements and adding foundation to the fears of gun owners and rights advocates nationwide.

Congress back in session with focus on immigration and guns

Congress back in session

Today Congress returns for a 10-week long session that may determine whether President Obama has a positive legacy for his two terms in office.

Congress is likely to focus on gun control and immigration reform – the two most-visible issues to voters.

New gun law is currently focused on the criminal background check system. Democrats are pushing for universal background checks that would force any gun transfer, even those between family members, to require a federal form and a phone call to the FBI performed by a licensed gun dealer. Republicans are stressing that the system needs better information not background checks on intra-family transfers.

Immigration reform has been a thrust by Democrats since 2007 and has included proposals for differing versions of amnesty for illegal immigrants. Republicans have been softening their stance on reform and many are entertaining a path-to-citizenship for those that have already been in the country for several years.

Differences on immigration between the sides centers on border security. While Republicans want demonstrated proof of a secure border before a path-to-citizenship is entertained, Democrats would prefer that illegal immigrants are offered a way to become citizens and only then focus on securing the border.

The Obama administration has made immigration reform one of its top agenda items for the President’s second term. Considering the chaos, increasing complexity and rapidly rising costs of Obamacare, immigration may be his last hop for a positive legacy.

Many Democrats are fearful that growing public resentment of the failing healthcare law could leave them open to Republican challenges in the 2014 election. Immigration reform could give them something positive to point to as they campaign at home.

The President has also been canvassing the nation to garner support for universal background checks. Realizing that semi-automatic gun bans and magazine restrictions are unpopular, Obama is hoping to claim a gun control win by using public pressure to get background checks to apply to all gun transfers.

Any gun control legislation is likely to be debated for some time to come. As most polls show a lack of public support for any new gun laws, lawmakers will surely debate and negotiate heavily before anything escapes the Senate. The House is likely to shoot down any heavy-handed attempt to restrict the second amendment.

With gun control support lagging and healthcare reform on the edge of failure, Obama’s second term will almost certainly be defined by changes in immigration law.

Gun Control Works

Preaching to the choir here on gun control in general, however this is meaningful especially now. As the UN is preparing to enforce worldwide disarmament of citizens, it is important to remember these statistics, and remind our lawmakers about them. In the coming weeks, there is no doubt that there will be many requests and petitions circulating around about this issue. While it’s probably not possible to participate in all that come along, it is important to do at least one thing: go to the House and the Senate websites, look up your people in Washington, and let them know that you believe it is important to protect our Second Amendment rights from being trampled by anyone – states, citizens, cities, and especially the UN.

First it was Magpul, now it’s HiViz announcing plans to leave the state of Colorado following new anti-gun legislation:

HiViz Shooting Systems Announces Relocation Plans

HiVizPRESS RELEASE: April 1, 2013, Fort Collins, CO—HiViz Shooting Systems (a division of North Pass Ltd.), announces plans to relocate operations out of the state of Colorado due to recent changes in Colorado state gun control legislation.  HiViz President and CEO Phillip Howe, states that talks are currently under way with officials of a neighboring state regarding the move.

Mr. Howe comments, “I make this announcement with mixed emotions. Colorado is a beautiful state with great people, but we cannot in clear conscience support with our taxes a state that has proven through recent legislation a willingness to infringe upon the constitutional rights of our customer base.” Mr. Howe notes that prior to the changes in law in Colorado, he made several attempts to persuade state officials via emails and telephone calls to proceed slowly with gun control legislation that would impact individual shooters and the shooting industry as a whole.

Although the relocation will be expensive and time consuming, he adds, “It is in the best interest of our company and our customers.” Starting with corporate headquarters, the operations will be moved over an extended period of time ensuring no interruption of services to its customer base, and HiViz states that the majority of its employees will make the move with the corporate operations. More details regarding the location and timing of the relocation will be announced as details are finalized.

HiViz Shooting Systems manufactures light-gathering sights, recoil pads and accessories for the shooting industry.

Are Gun Rights Safe from a dead Assault Weapons Ban in U.S. Senate

Save America Gun rights advocates rally for Second Amendment in Utah

Round one of the gun control battle on Capitol Hill has been seemingly won by default by the protectors and supporters of the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment. This win for gun rights advocates became obvious to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) this week. He ordered Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) to pull the so-called assault weapons provision from the bill. This bill had been passed by the Democrat controlled Judiciary Committee.

This comes on the heels of what appeared by many vote counters inside the Washington D.C. Beltway to be headed for total defeat. Even Reid’s own count reportedly indicated the most Democrat votes, that could be mustered to support the assault weapons ban was only 40. This is far less than the 60 votes President Obama needed to prevent a Republican filibuster of the bill. This is a victory for gun rights in the continuing congressional gun control battle

For the hysterical claims and attacks raised by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s in an attempt to strong arm national gun rights supporters with their bluster, it is a bitter defeat. This is also an important set back to the hysterical theatrics that the president displayed as he attempted to use his bully pulpit to force congress to submit to his will after the tragic shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.

Despite the facts that demonstrate the shooter Adam Lanza, was suffering from apparent severe mental illness issues, Obama resorted to scare tactics to pin the blame on gun rights. This is where he failed to exercise true presidential leadership. He clearly purposed his focused on fear mongering because it was what the liberal media hysteria machine wanted and craved. After all, who would be able to sustain the withering assaults from the main stream media, he had to reason.

But, Obama and the alphabet soup of media networks underestimated the commitment of gun rights and constitutional advocates who were unwilling to witness nor permit the undoing of those basic rights Americans who dear. When the president felt he was falling back on what he thought was an easy target, gun owners, gun owners and supporters instead locked arms and moved forward!

Even former astronaut Mark Kelly’s recent cheap trick to spur on support against gun owners did not prevail. He tried to resurrect the legitimate sincere sympathy Americans felt over the attack upon his wife, former congresswoman Gabby Giffords. She had survived a vicious attack in an armed assault against her which resulted in the tragic deaths of six victims in Tucson, Arizona in January 2011.

Kelly tried in vain, in March to dramatize that the legal buying of an AR-15 style weapon was somehow a national news story special bulletin about the evils of assault style weapons. It fell flat, because Kelly had purchased the gun legally and had gone through the proper legal guidelines to register the weapon. So where was the story and where was the news if everything he did was legal?

Guess what Kelly, there is no news, just because you and the mainstream media want to gin up hysteria. America does not need you to tell them what parts of their constitutional Second Amendment rights are legitimate and what are not. Get a clue Kelly, all of the rights are legitimate and not open to debate, discussion or compromise.

What does this abandonment of the assault weapons ban portent for the president? After all, in his February State of the Union remarks, he stressed how parents and families of the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary School deserved a vote that included an assault weapons ban? Obama skipped away, clean out of the country on this one, and all the way to Israel.

It points to the very clear principle that Obama stands on, which is, his word has no honor and no value even for his supporters. He seeks the coward’s approach, which was to duck and hide overseas in Israel while his handlers take the hit from his support base. Not a surprise for a person who has been perpetrating a fraud on the American people on other issues since he took office in 2009.

In truth, Obama has no clear principles and his behavior in previous armed assaults by lunatic madmen with weapons proves as much. He game is to merely whisper sad condolences into the ear of victim survivors of tragedies, from purported deranged shooters like James Holmes in Aurora, Colorado, or Jared Lee Loughner in Tucson, Arizona or even from Major Nidal Hasan in the Fort Hood’s massacre.

The reality is that Obama does not seek true solutions to the gun violence which has taken a tragic toll on innocent American victims. He ducks and dodges the true solution which is to reform and tighten rules which govern a failing and severely crippled mental health care system. He would rather tap dance on the convenient stage provided by the liberal main stream media to attack, attack and attack again the sovereign rights of citizens and states. Obama wants to strip rights from the U.S. Constitution, not strengthen those very rights and protections.

So what of the crocodile tears that Obama apparently shed for the national media as he spoke that wintry night in Newtown in front of the family and friends who suffered a loss in the shooting? He assured them as he swiped tears from his eyes that he would commit the full weight of his presidential office to securing justice for them.

Of course he did not mean it. Even though the survivor’s tears were real, his tears were clearly manufactured, there and in his White House comments later. The bottom line, is that Obama did not see a pathway where he could further his political ambition to demoralize the conservatives and republicans by continuing to support an assault weapons ban that his own democrats in the senate did not back.

Now, the die is cast for Obama to try yet another avenue to assault the gun rights of Americans, but at least on this day, Obama and his fanatical gun control supporters have lost a fight to blow a hole in Americans’ constitutional gun rights protections.

Was Former Astronaut Mark Kelly’s AR-15-style Buy A Cheap Trick

Astronaut Mark Kelly and NRA VP & CEO Wayne LaPierre Battle at U.S. Senate Hearing over Gun Control

Astronaut Mark Kelly and NRA VP & CEO Wayne LaPierre Battle at U.S. Senate Hearing over Gun Control

Legitimate gun owners and supporters of the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment have good reason to be outraged by Mark Kelly’s publicity trick to further gun control efforts in America. According to published Fox News reports, the former astronaut and husband of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, a shooting victim 2 years ago in Tucson, Arizona purchased an AR-15-style rifle and a 45.-caliber handgun.

This comes on the heels of his highly publicized efforts in both Congress as well as in Colorado to assault the U.S. Constitutional rights of legal gun owners to own weapons. In fact, his comments which he posted on Facebook, according to published reports seem disingenuous, when he states that people could easily buy similar guns at gun shows or over the internet without background checks.

The fact is, Kelly did actually do exactly what other law-abiding citizens in Arizona or any other state in the union have done beforehand. The Diamondback Police Supply gun shop where he reportedly purchased the weapons from, followed state law and had him undergo the mandatory background check.

Well, surprise, surprise he passed without any hiccups. So what was his point?

Many supporters of gun rights have weighed in on his open display of reactionary theater, by correctly pointing out that his entire stunt accomplished was to bring attention to his and his wife’s newly formed gun control organization named, Americans for Responsible Solutions.

It appears that the organization’s leader, Kelly, was actually seeking to create irresponsible reactions from fellow gun control sympathizers who would somehow rise up in hysteria and join up or gin up more donations to his national gun control cause.

What Kelly does not seem to want to accept, is that as tragic and woefully unfortunate the mass shooting of his wife and others on that horrendous day in the Tucson area shopping center, it was not performed by law abiding citizens going on a rampage.

Her attempted assassination was due to largely in part to relaxed mental health laws dealing with mentally unbalanced and severely disturbed individuals that the mental health system in Arizona and other states have not be responsible for.

Kelly, instead resorted to the quick, the easy, and the attention-headline grabbing techniques which are assured to raise the ire of mainstream media liberal heads. The goal of course is to place greater pressure on states like Colorado, which was recently caught up in a monumental gun control pitched battle in their democrat controlled state legislature. That highly restrictive gun control legislation has now been signed into law.  What states are next to fall victim?

It is truly quite unfortunate, that a man who has given such admirable service to this nation, could be given to publicity stunts that actually undermine the very protections he served to uphold.
So where again is the news value in his attempt? The owner of the gun shop actually had to hold onto the weapon for the required 20 days, to ascertain if the weapon had actually been used in a crime. Again, where is the news and where is the imagined harm?

Nothing, you might say. And that would be absolutely correct, because Kelly’s point is a red herring. There is no news made if Kelly, were an ordinary citizen who decided to follow the laws of Tucson, and the state of Arizona and legally purchase weapons. But it becomes news by name association.

Well, here is a bit of news that protectors of the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment rights can pass onto former astronaut Mark Kelly. Cheap parlor tricks will not destroy or impede the ability to Americans to exercise their right to bear arms.

Instead, Kelly should focus his and his organization’s attention on the real problem and that is to make certain that states and localities actually enforce the laws on the books and prosecute criminal offenders in cities like Chicago, which owns the nation’s highest murder rate.

If Americans for Responsible Solutions wants a real solution then start your efforts in Chicago. Help the parents and the innocents being assaulted in Chicago and get Obama’s former chief-of-staff, Mayor Rahm Emanuel to stop attacking gun rights and punish criminals who use guns to murder in that city.

Now that would be a real responsible solution all Americans could support!

Kelly: Buying AR-15 was “pretty easy”

Hypocrisy, Thy Name Is Obama

gun control

William Shakespeare wrote “Frailty, thy name is woman,” in his play “Hamlet.” With apologies to Shakespeare, I took liberties with his famous line when titling this article. But I just could not resist, given Dear Leader Barack Hussein Obama’s latest action.

It seems that yesterday (March 1, 2013), Obama pardoned seventeen people for “minor” offenses. Among those receiving a pardon was Larry Wayne Thornton of Forsythe, GA. Thorton’s offenses (of which he was convicted): possession of an unregistered firearm, and possession of a firearm without a serial number.

The pardons came on a Friday afternoon, so the MSM can ignore it, and Jay Carney and the White House can think of ways to place a positive spin on his actions.

Yes, this is the same Obama who, in January 2013, said, “If you want to buy a gun – whether it’s from a licensed dealer or a private seller – you should at least have to show you are not a felon or somebody legally prohibited from buying one. We should get tougher on people who buy guns with the express purpose of turning around and selling them to criminals. And we should severely punish anybody who helps them do this.” This is the same Obama that issued 23 executive orders in January to “curb gun violence.” And this is the same Obama that surrounded himself with children while signing the EOs.

We can add all of this to “Fast and Furious,” Obama’s Justice Department’s failed attempt at gun-running, the result of which caused the deaths of (at least) two American citizens.

And, while we’re at it, since when are “unauthorized acquisition of food stamps” and “false claims upon and against the United States” considered minor offenses? Alfor Sharkey and Jamari Salleh were convicted of these crimes. One of Obama’s primary speech points is the elimination or reduction of fraud. Here is yet another example of Obama’s hypocrisy.

And, since when has “unlawful use of a communication facility to distribute cocaine” become a minor offense? Lynn Marie Stanek was convicted on that one.

If there was ever an example of “Do as I say, not as I do,” this is it. What’s even more outrageous is that the lap-dog MSM will not call him on it, will not expose his hypocrisy.

But that’s just my opinion.

With Crime Down, Mayor Calls for Gun Control?

Buckhorn Tampa MayorTampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn is a vocal supporter of President Obama’s proposals to ban guns and ammunition. Though he claims to be a supporter of the Second Amendment, he also uses the common democrat talking points like “no one needs an assault weapon” and “you don’t need a to kill a quail with a 30 round magazine.”

Buckhorn recently signed a letter to President Obama and Congress along with more than 200 mayors across the country. The letter asked the D.C. elite to pass Sen Dianne Feinstein’s (D-CA) strict gun control proposals.

Violent gun crimes must be at an all-time-high in Tampa for Buckhorn to be so fervently supportive of gun control, right? Wrong.

According to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office press release this month, crime is down more than 25% from 2011. The violent crime rate is the lowest it has been since recording the rate began in 1985!

Buckhorn hasn’t joined New York City Mayor Bloomberg’s multi-million dollar lobby firm Mayors Against Illegal Guns which has sent paid professional testifiers to individual states like Minnesota and Colorado pushing for state gun control measures, but says he agrees with most of what the group does.

Paid Bloomberg Lobbyist Testifies in MN

David ChipmanDavid Chipman is a paid lobbyist for Mayors Against Illegal Guns which was founded by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino for the purpose of imposing stricter gun laws across America. The group has also received over $1 million in funding from George Soros’ pet project, the Joyce Foundation.

Chipman was given 10 minutes at the start of Minnesota’s State Senate Judiciary Committee to share his expertise on proposed gun control legislation. He was introduced as an FBI professional speaking to the committee as an expert on firearms safety. Senator Julianne Ortman (R) offered for the record that Chipman is a paid lobbyist and therefore has an opinion. Ortman said Chipman should be considered a testifier versus a presenter and therefore asked for and received additional time for opposition testimony. Chipman recited essentially the same talking points as he has given in multiple media appearances in recent months.

When on CCTV in early February, Chipman reiterated that current laws in the city of Minneapolis have reduced gun crime, though he continues his pursuit of stricter background checks.

Chipman also had an appearance on Hardball with Chris Matthews.

Apparently, Chipman has become a professional testifier of sorts. He appeared before the Colorado state legislature “testifying” (read: lobbying) for gun control legislation earlier this month.

It is unclear who invited Chipman to testify in Minnesota or who is covering the cost of his travel.

MN Gun Control

gun-free-zone

gun-free-zoneAfter days of hearings in Minnesota House committee meetings, the state senate is now hearing testimony on more gun control legislation for the second day at the Capitol in St. Paul. The Senate Judiciary Committee is taking input this week from experts and the public regarding proposed gun control legislation in Minnesota.

Hundreds of protestors opposed to the legislation have flooded the capitol building making it necessary for the senate to render the meetings “closed” to anyone without a ticket. Overflow rooms, including the Grand Hall, have been streaming live video of the meetings.

Bills up for public testimony include increased ineligibility for people with mental health problems, increased fees and penalties for transfers of firearms and the expansion of background checks for gun purchases.

Testimony on Thursday was nearly identical to the house hearings and included members of the NRA, the Gun Owners Civil Rights Alliance, Protect MN, Sami Rahamim and Professor Joe Olson of Hamline University. To read what was said in the house, click here.

Senate File 458, which modifies the eligibility of legal firearms owners to transfer or sell guns privately, was highly contested and took the most testimony.

Also testifying in favor of strict controls on gun ownership and purchases was Minneapolis Mayor RT Rybak who said that Minneapolis has seen a decrease in the number of gun-related crimes in his city. Ironically, the mayor is still in favor of disarming Minnesotans.

Shortly after Rybak’s testimony, Chris Rager of the NRA used the microphone to shoot holes in nearly every statistic proponents of the legislation had set forth to that point in the hearings.

“Gun purchases are at an all time high, yet gun crime is at an all time low,” said Rager. “There is no evidence to suggest that background checks diminish gun crime.”

Rager gave a lesson to Minnesota senators in how gun purchases work, including gun show purchases, and what the federal background check system truly entails. Participation in the system is voluntary by the states and is highly unreliable. Rager is in favor of more local control and says background checks aren’t likely to affect crime statistics.

“Criminals have not and will not submit to background checks. They are criminals.” said Rager, which he said will do nothing to stop violent crime.

The chairman of the Judiciary Committee and author of three proposed bills is Senator Ron Latz, a democrat from the first tier suburbs of the Twin Cities. When asked if the proposed bill #458 regarding transfer of firearms makes the case that the citizenry cannot be trusted to know whether or not a person is a felon, Latz responded, “I think in general, that’s correct. The average person doesn’t do a background check.”

More testimony is expected today as 7 more gun control bills are taken up in the committee. All proposed legislation is expected to be “laid over” for inclusion in a larger omnibus bill that is to be introduced within weeks. The omnibus bill could include legislation related to silica sand mining, education, early voting and gun control, as well as other proposals that have been in both House and Senate committees for several weeks.

Are Background Checks Unconstitutional?

Eagle 2nd Amendment

2nd amendment

One of the central tenants of “Gun Control” is the background check. The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence says that, “… 92% of Americans and 74% of NRA members support background checks.” They, of course, offer no source for these percentages. They also say, “‘Universal background checks’ on all gun sales would have a clear positive impact on public safety, and is also clearly compatible with the rights of law-abiding citizens to own guns.” They call to, “Strengthen the background check system that already exists to ensure, for example, that mental health and other relevant records are in the background check system and readily available within the states.”

Dear Leader Barack Hussein Obama announced on January 23, 2013, that he would, through Executive Order (EO), take 23 actions, among them:

  • “… require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background-check system.”
  • “Address unnecessary legal barriers … that may prevent states from making information available to the background-check system.”
  • “Improve incentives for states to share information with the background- check system.”
  • “Publish a letter from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.”

That all sounds, … er, great for gun control advocates. But (and there’s always a “but” with Obama), out of the other side of his mouth, Obama has called for the abolition of background checks, maintaining that they are unconstitutional. Background checks on potential employees assumes a criminal past of these potential employees and, therefore, should not be allowed. Specifically, a man of Mexican origin was denied employment as a truck driver because he had a criminal record that was discovered through a routine background check. Obama and his “Department of Justice” claimed that the trucking company had no right to deny employment to the criminal saying it violated his “civil rights.” Yet, the same Obama issued several EOs that call for or mandate background checks.

As James Bovard wrote,

“In the late 1970s, the EEOC [Equal Employment Opportunity Commission] began stretching Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act to sue businesses for practically any hiring practice that adversely affected minorities. In 1989, the agency sued Carolina Freight Carrier Corp. of Hollywood, Fla., for refusing to hire as a truck driver a Hispanic man who had multiple arrests and had served 18 months in prison for larceny. The EEOC argued that the only legitimate qualification for the job was the ability to operate a tractor trailer.”

“EEOC’s position that minorities should be held to lower standards is an insult to millions of honest Hispanics.”

Are we also to assume that we gun owners/potential buyers are also assumed to have a criminal past because of Obama’s call for a background check? I personally find this assumption to be highly insulting! Further, should the Obama background check be limited, as the EEOC suggest, only to the operation of a gun?

As Warner Todd Houston wrote, “If background checks violate a person’s civil liberties in order to gain employment, then background checks also violate a person’s civil liberties in order to enjoy their Constitutional rights. After all, the right to a job is not in the Constitution, but the right to a firearm is.”   [Houston’s emphasis]

This is yet another example of Obama’s and Democrats’ hypocrisy of pursuing what best suits their agenda, while ignoring the same thing that doesn’t further their agenda.

But that’s just my opinion.

The Hypocrisy of Gun Control

guns

It is ludicrous to imagine that not allowing some guns to be gunsmanufactured based on what they look like or how many bullets they will hold at any one given time, will do anything to curb the rampant violence in our nation.

While our lawmakers bemoan the availability of what they mistakenly call “assault weapons”, they completely ignore the real causes of all this violence. The causes of violence are cultural, not mechanical. These purveyors of edict pretend that guns are the problem, yet completely ignore the colossal number of depictions of truly nasty maiming and killing our youth are exposed to via various media 24 hours a day. These are the very same people who will exempt Hollywood from any responsibility, claiming that fiction depicted on the screen has no influence on folks, while at the same time spending millions and millions of dollars on thirty-second television commercials to get themselves re-elected because they KNOW that pictures influence people! The argument defies all reason and logic.

They are the same people who ignore the black on white youth mob violence occurring at alarming rates in our cities, who ignore the handgun violence in Chicago (a city with some of the strictest gun laws in the nation), and who rush to do something, no matter how ineffective it is so they can appear to have done something.

It is certainly true that it is not possible to legislate morality. It is equally true that people imitate what they see. If our political leaders exhibit a lack of honesty, integrity, and cooperation why do the expect the general public to act any differently? If our silver screen heroes are busy blowing up everything in sight on screen and being arrested for every form of debauchery off screen, how do we expect those who look up to them to act?

When our laws, the very founding documents of our governing system are ignored by our President, what example is there for the rest of us? When our religious and societal institutions are held up to ridicule on a daily basis by the popular media, what do they expect to occur? When it is illegal to teach moral principals in our schools, and discipline is removed, why is anyone shocked when some unbalanced individual shoots up a kindergarten? It is surprising worse things don’t happen more often.

Criminals, by definition, ignore the law. They have fine examples in our political leadership from the President on down. What on earth makes anyone think gun legislation will suddenly make any criminal obey the law? After all shooting up a kindergarten is already illegal.

Shoot Children and You’re the Devil, Shoot Cops and You’re Heralded as the Second Coming

cop killers poster

If you murder children with guns, the world will regard you as a monster; if you shoot cops you will become a cult hero to the Left.

When 20 year-old psycho Adam Lanza went on a gun-killing spree, murdering 20 children and seven adults, he became the most hated man in America and the propaganda mug for anti-gun leftists desperate for mass-murder-buy-guns in order to promote the anti-second Amendment cause.

time lanza cover

When former cop-turned-cop-killer Chris Dorner unleashed his guns against police, Dorner became the latest cop-killer cult hero to anti-gun race-baters and left-wing media anchors.

dorner with gun

There are only two differences between Lanza and Dorner: Lanza massacred children, Dorner massacred police officers.  Lanza did not murder cops in revenge for the criminal, drug addicted, alcoholic, wife-beating thug Rodney King, Dorner did.  Thus, Lanza is hated and Dorner is adored.

dorner fans

King’s beating and arrest by cops, who had to defend themselves against King’s violent attacks,  automatically made police racist in the eyes of leftists and media whores promoting all things anti-American and racist–including Chris Dorner.

Adam Lanza’s violence, on the other hand, gave the Left everything it’s been searching for in order to disarm citizens: Children murdered by guns. Now guns truly are assault weapons, dangerous, and the real cause of all deaths in America.

If guns are banned—or at least regulated to the point that citizens are only allowed to purchase one bullet at a time–ala Barney Fife—crime and murder will disappear. Unless necessary–to kill cops.

kill cops grafitti

Necessary murder in the eyes of left-wingers is shooting any American who appallingly wears a uniform.

The Left’s newest darling provided 11,000 reasons for the Left to adore him in a so-called manifesto:

In the end, I hope that you will realize that the small arms I utilize should not be accessed with the ease that I obtained them. Who in there right mind needs a (expletive) silencer!!! who needs a freaking SBR AR15? No one. No more Virginia Tech, Columbine HS, Wisconsin temple, Aurora theatre, Portland malls, Tucson rally, Newtown Sandy Hook. Whether by executive order or thru a bi-partisan congress an assault weapons ban needs to be re-instituted. Period!!! Mia Farrow said it best. ‘Gun control is no longer debatable, it’s not a conversation, its a moral mandate.’ Sen. Feinstein, you are doing the right thing in leading the re-institution of a national AWB. Never again should any public official state that their prayers and thoughts are with the family.

Lanza destroyed all evidence and records for his psychotic rampage. But that shouldn’t matter. Murder is murder. Or is it?

Dorner’s racist, unintelligent, self-styled manifesto further states: “I know I will be vilified by the LAPD and the media.”

Wrong. Dorner has not been denigrated or maligned by the media. He’s been heralded with praise for his violence.

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews shivered with tingles over Dorner’s manifesto admiration of Matthews: “keep up the great work and follow Cronkite’s lead. I hold many of you [journalists, including Matthews] in the same regard.”

How touching. Where’s the Nobel Peace Prize!

Matthews ignored Dorner’s demand that he and his cronies: “Don’t honor these fallen officers/dirtbags.”

Imagine if Lanza left behind a manifesto demanding the media “not honor those fallen dirt bag children?” Matthews would have flown into a psychiatric rage and shot himself in the leg.

Instead, Matthews considers Dorner a peaceful man with a high IQ because:

[Dorner is] Someone who had great media-savvy, who knew, who had the brains to keep track of Hollywood, to keep up with Charlie Sheen, to establish relationships with people through the media, to, in some strange way, enjoy his situation and at the same time wreak havoc on anyone he came in contact to.

Whenever I seek to be well-informed, I look to the “savvy” rantings of  drug-addicted, alcoholic, wife-beater Charlie Sheen.

Furthermore, Matthews’ so-called passive “brainy” intellect, who couldn’t spell or construct proper sentences, certainly demonstrated a hatred of high powered rifles by morally murdering cops with tinier guns than fellow lunatic Lanza.

Dorner’s violence is acceptable to the media because Dorner was black and bullied as a kid:

Journalist, I want you to investigate every location I resided in growing up. Find any incidents where I was ever accused of being a bully. You won’t, because it doesn’t exist. It’s not in my DNA. Never was. I was the only black kid in each of my elementary school classes from first grade to seventh grade in junior high and any instances where I was disciplined for fighting was in response to fellow students provoking common childhood schoolyard fights, or calling me a nigger or other derogatory racial names. I grew up in neighborhoods where blacks make up less than 1%.

Poor darling! He was the only black kid in school! Someone called him names! And schoolyard fights? Has any American ever heard of such a thing occurring in school? That has NEVER HAPPENED TO ANY KID IN AMERICA!

Can anyone imagine the New Black Panther Party referring to whites as “whitey,” “white devils,” or “Cracker, you are about to be ruled by a black man” or “You want freedom, you gonna have to kill some crackers…You gonna have to kill some of they [sic] babies,” and “I hate white people, all of them, every last iota of the cracker, I hate em’!”

Ironically Adam Lanza committed what the Black Panthers yearn for: Lanza massacred white children. Yet Lanza and his guns are vilified by the Left. That’s because murder is justifiable when murder involves killing cops: “Those Caucasian officers who join South Bureau divisions with the sole intent to victimize minorities who are uneducated, and unaware of criminal law, civil law, and civil rights,” further declaring:

[T]his is a necessary evil that I do not enjoy but must partake and complete for substantial change to occur within the LAPD and reclaim my name. The department has not changed since the Rampart and Rodney King days. It has gotten worse. The consent decree should never have been lifted. The only thing that has evolved from the consent decree is those officers involved in the Rampart scandal and Rodney King incidents have since promoted to supervisor, commanders, and command staff, and executive positions.

Again: If you shoot children, the world will deem you monstrous and demand gun bans. However, if you shoot cops, you will become a leftist cult hero, not to mention highly regarded Ive League college professor.

On the upside, Dorner, who “wants my brain left to science,” likes Michelle Obama’s hair: “I love your new bangs, Mrs. Obama.”

Thank heavens! We can all breathe a sigh of relief! That proves Dorner, whose brain is now useless chard remains, was not a monstrous murderer like Adam Lanza! Dorner was a psychotic murderer with style and taste!

DOJ Memo: Obama Wants Mandatory Gun BuyBacks

DOJ_mandatory_gun_buyback

He won’t be happy until he completely un-arms the American citizens.

YouTube Description:

Even Obama’s experts say his gun control policies won’t work. According to an internal Department of Justice memorandum, a gun ban, like the one being debated right now in Congress, will not work without a mandatory gun buyback, and “universal” background checks will not work without requiring gun registration. Call Congress at 202-224-3121 and tell them to reject President Obama’s gun control agenda — and to get serious about prosecuting criminals and fixing our broken mental health system.
