Prayer Permeates 9/11 Ground Zero Remembrance, Despite Mayor Bloomberg Ban

WASHINGTON, Sept. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), said today the fact that prayer and Scripture were key ingredients in the 9/11 remembrance at Ground Zero shows how wrong Mayor Michael Bloomberg was in refusing to reverse a ban prohibiting religious leaders and prayer from being part of the official ceremony.

“Despite the Mayor’s ban, prayer permeated the solemn and sacred remembrance at Ground Zero,” saidJay Sekulow, Chief Counsel of the ACLJ. “We heard from nearly 40,000 Americans who supported prayer at this event. And, in the end, even with the ban in place, President Obama, former President Bush, and former New York City Mayor Giuliani – understood the importance of including prayer in their remarks – prayer for those who are still suffering from the nation’s worst terrorist attack – prayer for our nation. In spite of the Mayor’s stubborn refusal to acknowledge the importance of including prayer, the fact is that prayer and Scripture played an integral part of this memorial event and for that we are grateful.”

The ACLJ sent Mayor Bloomberg a letter signed by nearly 40,000 Americans declaring their support for prayer at the event and urging him to rescind his ban.

In his remarks at Ground Zero, President Obama read Psalm 46, which begins with, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”

Former President George W. Bush read from a letter written by Abraham Lincoln in 1864 to a mother who lost five sons during the Civil War. Lincoln ended the letter saying, “I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.”

And former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani read from Ecclesiastes. As Giuliani put it: “The perspective that we need, and have needed, to get through the last 10 years, and the years that remain, are best expressed by the words of God as inscribed in the book of Ecclesiastes.”

The ObaMartini: Made from Absolut Zero

Barack Obama is coming to Ground Zero – which is appropriate given his well-earned moniker – Zero. It isn’t by accident that the ObaMartini is made from Absolut Zero. And it wasn’t by accident that the president who preceded him turned down his invitation to attend the ceremony. After Obama’s anti-trump tirade at the White House Correspondents Dinner there wasn’t a chance in Hell that George W. Bush was going to share a podium with the Communist-In-Chief. Thank you sir! May I have another?

Obama is going to Ground Zero to bask in the glory of having the guts to kill a guy. Not bad for a Nobel Peace Prize winning community agitator from Chicago. Mission Accomplished! Or not. Osama bin Laden pictures. Or not. Bush did the heavy lifting and now Obama is going to claim all the glory. This from a man who dithering since last August over whether he should turn bin Laden into Shark food. Let’s be perfectly clear about something – Obama didn’t make the decision based upon military considerations. He made the decision based upon political considerations. And the longer he dithered the greater the chance that his dithering was going to get exposed in public and he would have been persona non grata at every voting precinct in the county dead voters included. His was not an act of political courage. His was an act of political cowardice. Doing the right thing for the wrong reason isn’t courageous – it’s just stupid pandering to one’s political base. If George Bush had ordered the attack just imagine the outcry from the left. Impeachment votes would already be readied in Congress. But because it is a community agitator who pulled the trigger, so to speak, the leftists are strangely quiet.

Aw, Barry needs a megaphone moment at Ground Zero. Keep milking that bull, Barry. There is only one thing America wants to know about your visit to Ground Zero. Will you be wearing your mom jeans?

George Bush Takes High Road on Obama’s Attempt to Politicize Osama’s Death

Unconfirmed reports say that the White House invited former President George W. Bush to ground zero with President Obama in celebration of the slaying of Osama bin Laden.

David Sherzer, President Bush’s spokesman, said, “President Bush will not be in attendance on Thursday. He appreciated the invite, but has chosen in his post-presidency to remain largely out of the spotlight.

While the White House will neither confirm nor deny that Obama had extended an invitation to the former leader, George Bush’s announcement is certainly an indication that such an offer was made.

Obama needs a ground zero moment like President Bush’s famous and inspiring speech after the towers fell.

George W. Bush was, if nothing else, genuine. He was not an effective fiscal Conservative, he was not the eloquent speaker Mr. Obama is, but he was real. I will never forget the moment that his Chief-of-Staff came into the grade school classroom and whispered in his ear that America was under attack. The composure, the realization that this was his to manage and that there was little he could do in the next few minutes, so let the kids have their moment – all of it. George Bush’s approval ratings went through the roof.

President Obama’s ratings are dropping off of a cliff and the recent announcement of Osama’s death hasn’t really helped all that much. Now Obama is searching for the poll bump that Bush never needed nor wanted – but got.

I believe that President Bush bowed out because he did not believe that this moment should be turned into a circus, or carnival if you prefer Mr. Obama’s phraseology. I believe that he sees this for what it is and would never sully the images of thousands of lost Americans by turning the killing of foreign terrorist into a re-election campaign stop.

President G.W.Bush is genuine class.

Koran Burning Gone Wild

Days ago, Terry Jones said he would host a Koran burning party on 9-11.  Then he changed his mind, then he changed it again – we think.  Now, others are considering burning the Muslim holy book while Muslims push back:

Exciting new media angle to Koran-burning story: Pastor went to high school with Rush Limbaugh

Pastor rules out Koran burning ‘for now’

From The Telegraph in the UK

Terry Jones, a radical evangelist preacher, said the book burning was off while he held talks over a Muslim cleric’s plans to build a mosque near the site of the World Trade Centre that was destroyed in the September 11 terror attacks nine years ago.

“Right now we have plans not to do it,” he told ABC’s Good Morning America programme.

“We believe that the imam is going to keep his word, what he promised us yesterday … We believe that we are, as he said, and promised, going to meet with the imam in New York tomorrow.”

Mr Jones is flying to New York in a bid to persuade Feisal Abdul Rauf, the Islamic cleric behind the controversial Ground Zero mosque project to cancel it in return for abandoning his planned ceremony to burn 200 copies of the Koran.

Mr Rauf, a cleric who works with the US State Department to improve America’s relations with the Muslim world, argues the mosque would be used to promote inter-faith peace.

But his plan has become a major controversy ahead of the September 11 anniversary midterm and sensitive US congressional elections on November 2.

Radical opponents, such as the Florida pastor, have accused the mosque’s supporters of creating a monument honouring the Islamist terrorists who carried out the September 11 attacks.

Mr Jones, facing international condemnation and possible action from the US authorities, has now tried to cast himself as having single-handedly resolved the mosque standoff thanks to his threat to desecrate the Koran.

The imam of Mecca said on Friday that the pastor’s threat to burn copies of the Koran was an incitement to “terrorism”.

“The call to burn copies of our holy book is a form of terrorism and an incitement to terrorism,” Saleh bin Humaid said in a sermon marking the Muslim feast of Eid.

With Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah and Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri among the sea of worshippers thronging Islam’s holiest city, Mr Humaid said that burning the Koran would be “aggression against Islam”.

“It is shameful to attribute this act to the freedom of expression,” he said. “This is an act of aggression against Islam and its followers.”

At least 11 Afghans were wounded when stone throwing protesters attacked a Nato base in the north of Afghanistan.

A crowd, estimated at 10,000 by officials in the Badakhshan province, poured into the streets of Faizabad on Friday morning after special Eid prayers to mark the end of Muslim Ramadan.

The protests quickly turned violent and, according to reports, a man was shot dead when German troops inside the Nato base opened fire after they were attacked.

Robert Gates, the US Defence Secretary, phoned the Florida pastor on Thursday night and asked him to reconsider his plans to burn Korans on Saturday, the ninth anniversary of the September 11th attacks, because it could have endangered the lives of American troops.

President Barack Obama earlier warned that the plans served as a “recruitment bonanza for al-Qaeda”, and were “completely contrary to our values”. Burning the Koran could provoke a wave of terrorist attacks on the West.

Franking Privileges

Polar CougHey, Barry! Does your Beano Cook? Huh? You don’t understand the question? Well, let me put it to you another way. Why does Barney get unlimited Franking privileges? And why doesn’t he have to give up the cheap satisfaction of the radical pose for the deep satisfaction of the radical ends? Is that why you kept voting pleasant all those years? And how come you light up your Hairy Reid but consistently end up burning the Bush? Think you’re Moses? Well, of course, your Pharaohness, there certainly are similarities. Moses floated down the Nile and you most certainly are also in denial. And then there’s the money thing, too. Egyptus? Hell, you gyptus! Crap, you plan to keep on gypting us From Here To Eternity (which explains your obsession with Hawaii, doesn’t it!)

But, I digress. I think I have you figured out. As far as your perverted quest for power is concerned, if Genghis Kahn, yes, you most certainly Kahn too! Kenya see it now? Yeah, I know, I know. The pain in Spain flies mainly on your plane. But now you’re the one who’s digressing. Let’s get back to the point. You’re hurting us. What? Well of course it hurts! We’re getting screwed by a Jackass! Oh right, we’ll all just take two pain pills and call you in the morning. Yes, it’s true. You are a cereal killer. Thanks to you, we’re the only banana republic that has to import its bananas. So, you see, we don’t want to call you in the morning. We’re all staring at a leveraged bowl of Captain Kickass, minus the bananas, and just can’t get all excited about picking up the phone and giving you a ring. My apologies to your nose, but rings cost money, don’t cha’ know? At least Carter knew whose ass to kick – poor rabbit.

So, here we find ourselves, 19 months into the making of the Foundation of your Empire, and what are the major news items of the day? Well, let’s see…there’s your unbridled enthusiasm for building a mosque at Ground Zero (Go figure, the site is named after you.). And, of course, Blago’s jury is well-hung – unlike you, according to Sarah Palin. But who needs to ask Palin’s opinion when Jesse Jackson already offered a while back to help you sing a couple of octaves higher?  Yeah, I heard about the squirrel too. But, you know? It never would have starved to death if you hadn’t let it run up your leg. Your alleged manhoodlessness is a national joke, Barry. Wasn’t it about two years ago when we all heard the rumor that if Hillary Clinton gave you one of her acorns, you’d both have two? Which brings us to the mom jeans – whose mom? And who’s genes? And that tingle Chris Matthews had down his leg? Don’t worry about it. It dried up. On the bright side, Vera Baker notwithstanding, at least you seem to have learned from Bill Clinton to keep your rod out of your staff…which brings us right back to David Axelrod. Not a bad name for a cheesy little squirt who gives us the entire shaft. Well-oiled? 10-40, Good Buddy!

Anyway, back to the news. Seems Charlie Wrangle and Maxipad Waters have no ethics. “Ethics? We don’t need no stinkin’ ethics!  Besides, it’s Bush’s fault, that friggin’ Cracka”. Would you like some cheese on that Cracka, Maxine? Or, are you on a diet and want to cut the cheese? Either way, Maxine stinks, Barry, and you know it. Reminds me of a song I learned as a young Cracka, Barry. Listen up while I sing you the tune…

Well, I stuck my head in a little skunk’s hole.
And that little skunk said, “Well, bless my soul!”
“Take it out, take it out, take it out, take it out…
Remove it!”

Well, I didn’t take it out, and I didn’t take it out.
And that little skunk said, “If you don’t take it out…
You’ll wish you had, take it out, take it out…
remove it!”

Pshhhhhhhhh….I removed it!

Pshhhhhhhhh, Barry. That’s the sound of November 2nd, 2010.  You stink. The nation is going to collectively pull your head out of the hole. I won’t water it down for you. To tell you the truth, Maxine stinks. So does Barney’s Frank. And Axel’s rod. And he ain’t heavy, he’s my Hairy Reid.

Believe it or not, I sympathize with your situation. Let’s look at it objectively. You’ve really got it bad. Your Chief of Staff has a history of sending dead fish to people in the mail. Gives a whole new meaning to snail mail – it just might be! And then there’s your personal assistant, Valerie Jarrett, the local slum lord. And Baghdad Bob…geez, what were you drinking the day you hired that gas bag? I bet his Beano doesn’t Cook, either. And let’s not forget your love child, Nancy Pelosi. You can read about her in the Bible – in Genesis, to be precise. God took a rib from Adam and made the first loudspeaker.  That’s why her face is so tight – loudspeakers don’t work unless the woofer is uptight, out-of-sight, and in the groove.

So what’s your plan to get out of this mess, Barry? Go on vacation? Golf? Spend other people’s money? I gotta tell you, buddy. You’re in it too deep.  George Sore Ass can’t save you this time. You are such a shallow thinker that your mental masturbation ain’t going to buy you love. I admit it was a stroke of genius to redirect NASA to kiss up to Islam, but really, all you are going to do is end up with a bad case of peegret. That’s what happens when you split the bar without first dumping the lemonade. Next time try vodka – an Absolut Zero. That’s your only hope. You’re not THE ONE. All you are is the Zero. Absolut Zero.  Cheers.

The Ground Zero Mosque Organization: a Twitter Interview

Today on twitter I asked the Ground Zero Mosque Organization, @Park51,  a simple question. I did not recieve a simple answer.

StopObama2012: Do you condemn Hamas as a Terrorist Organization? Tweet

Park51: We don’t engage foreign politics. We’re working to build moderate Muslim communities BTW how’s stopping Obama going? ^_^ Tweet

As you can see thats a blantant attempt to tap dance away from the issue. Sorry, I don’t play softball on terrorism.

StopObama2012: I call yr answer a No, U wnt condemn Hamas as a terrorist organization. Therefor U have no business calling yourselves Moderate Tweet

StopObama2012: Stopping Obama is going just fine, thank you Tweet

I can be civil :) But my statement is true, if you won’t condemn terrorism or those that embrace it, you are not a moderate Muslim. But then denial gets worse.

Park51: Stop trying to drag us into int’l political debates. Happy to discuss American Muslim issues. Tweet

So asking if you will condemn terrorism and terrorist organizations is dragging people into political debates? Really? And is not Terrorism an American Muslim issue. Are there not American victims of terrorism in all faiths and creeds?

StopObama2012: I asked you a simple question, you refuse to answer. Your showing your true colors, your not moderate at all. Tweet

StopObama2012: As the Imam is currently touring the Middle East on the taxpayer dime, asking you about the MidEast & Hamas is relevant Tweet

Did I lie? Either you condemn terrorism,  you don’t care, or support it. A “Moderate Muslim” would condemn it. And the Imam is indeed on a taxpayer funded tour courtesy of the State Department.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsXTbiINWSU

Roughly 2 hours later I recieved a reply

Park51: The State Dept thinks Imam Feisal is ok to speak on US issues. He’s an ambassador, it’s not his place to play politics. Tweet

I found this laughable and quickly took it apart.

StopObama2012: Does not an Ambassador play politics? Tweet

StopObama2012: And yet he has made political statements, like blaming the USA for 9/11 Tweet

Here’s the story.

“I wouldn’t say that the United States deserved what happened, but the United States policies were an accessory to the crime that happened”

That’s well beyond criticism to me, and factually inaccurate.

The Response

Park51: Well Kissinger did. But I don’t think that’s the role of inter-country outreach. Tweet

StopObama2012: Oh and refusing to condemn Hamas as a terrorist organization, just like you Tweet

Because that also, is a political statement, or non-statement if you will.

StopObama2012: An Ambassador is a political position, your dancing in circles

Park51: I don’t think he blamed the USA, but he may have questioned historical policy decisions tweet

You saw the above video, you tell me. Ahh and then they get testy.

Park51: What is your point? We pick a moderate and he has to pass your grain of sand test? How fair is that? Who would you nominate? tweet

Lets see, he wants to see America more Sharia compliant, won’t condemn terrorist organizations, and hold’s American policies responsible for 9/11. Doesn’t sound very moderate to me.

StopObama2012: Ahh spin. The point is that neither he, nor you are moderate, or you would have sought a different location in the first place tweet

StopObama2012: And you would also condemn all terrorist organizations and acts of terrorism carried out in the name of Islam tweet

Ohh your really going to love the answer

Park51: So in your mind, it our place to issue blanket condemnations of any group you deem unworthy? #thatsfair Tweet

I was under the impression that not just I, but the State Department as well, had condemned them as a Terrorist Organization

Why yes, here they are in a State Department Report:

From December 27, 2008, through January 17, 2009, the IDF conducted a major military operation in Gaza.  Israel and Hamas, a State Department-designated foreign terrorist organization that violently seized power in Gaza in June 2007, declared separate truces to end the fighting.  Occasional small clashes continue to occur along the border.

How about that. Guess I just didn’t pick and choose, huh.

StopObama2012: Are terrorist Organizations worthy?? Hamas, Hezboallah? Are they worthy? Al-Shabab? Need more? tweet

StopObama2012: See, here’s your trap, you say you are a moderate in the religion of peace, yes? Yet you refuse to condemn those that act with violence in it’s name Tweet

There has yet to be a response. If I recieve one I will update this post. Suffice to say The organization behind the Ground Zero Mosque is not “Moderate.”

While not openly “Radical” They clearly will not take a stand against, or condemn radical behavoir. It really is a simple question. If you ask me if I condemn the KKK I would reply, “Hell Yea”, “Of course”, and “Everyday and twice on Sunday.” Yet they refuse to condemn known terrorist organizations.

There are many questions left unanswered by this organization, such as how can a man, that was a waiter in 2002, get 4.8 million dollars cash to pay for it in 2006?

More on the background of the Imam from PJTV:

And from Hannity

I call for an investigation into this Mosque’s Imam and the organization, most importantly, follow the money. Something is being hidden and need’s to be brought to light.
