Obama seeks Political Advantage from Death of Bin Laden

President Barack Hussein Obama informed the nation late Sunday evening that Osama Bin Laden,  the mastermind of the 911 attacks, has been killed. Obama was more than an hour late to his own press conference, leading to suspicions that his speech writers had not finished Obama’s speech by the originally announced time of the press conference. Since 911 the United States has diligently sought Bin Laden. The U.S. came close to capturing or killing Bin Laden at Tora Bora but missed him because critical combat operations were delegated to the Afghan Army – which was both unprepared and unwilling to vigorously pursue him in that crucial battle. Obama, contradicting earlier news report, said that the attack on Obama happened on Sunday, May 1 by Special Operations forces. The U.S. force killed Bin Laden and captured his body.

Fox News broke the news that Osama Bin Laden is dead.

Reportedly, Bin Laden was killed about one week ago but U.S. authorities delayed informing the public of this fact so that they could conduct DNA tests to confirm Bin Laden’s identity.

Major news organizations such as Fox News and the New York Times broke the news prior to Obama’s press conference, taking some of the luster off of the President’s announcement. The United States is reportedly in possession of Bin Laden’s body.

Update I:

The Conservative Daily News has confirmed reports from the Pensacola Naval Air Station that guards at that base are now dressed in full combat gear and that the base is under an increased state of alert. It is presumed that similar alert measures are taking place at all U.S. military bases around the world.

Update II:

The Associated Press reported that Osama Bin Laden was killed in a mansion outside of Islamabad, Pakistan. This news raises suspicions that Pakistan is cooperating with Al Quada. Further complicating the matter is that around the same time that Bin Laden was killed, Pakistani authorities were busy telling the United States that further Predator drone airstrikes within Pakistan were no longer allowed. It must be assumed that the attack on Bin Laden is what prompted the change in policy concerning Predator drones within Pakistani territory.

Update III:

The Conservative Daily News has just learned from an unconfirmed source that Bin Laden was killed by a bomb placed by a U.S. ground operation and not from a missile fired from a Predator Drone.

Update IV:

The Associated Press is reporting that Bin Laden was shot in the head instead of being killed by a bomb.

• Alpha –  There is a small and general terrorist activity that is not predictable.
• Bravo – Situation with somewhat predictable terrorist threat.
• Charlie – Imminent terrorist action
• Delta – Terrorist attack is occurring or has just occurred.
