As if parent do not have enough to worry about on the internet, there’s a new danger: iDosing, and it’s completely legal.

So what is “i-dosing? It’s websites that play music, but it’s not music. The “music” that is played from these websites are “different frequencies that promises to deliver an effect much like opium, cocaine, or marijuana.”

The real danger, according to doctors, is that teens may want to end up trying drugs for real after trying the websites.

i-dosing is such a new “drug” that no real studies have been done on its side effect. However, according to brain imaging experts, sonic drugs do change the brain, the experts just do not know how much.`

VENICE, Calif., May 16, 2011 — Libertarian congressional candidate Steve Collett has been airing a series of TV commercials for the Tuesday, May 17 election. Collett says he offers “win/win solutions where we actually get more by spending less.”

In the first ad Steve says, “We have 5% of the world’s population, but 25% of the world’s prisoners and we spend 43% of total world defense dollars. It’s tough to spread democracy and freedom with a gun.” The ads are running on CNN, MSNBC, The History Channel, Bravo and The Animal Planet.

In the second ad Steve is pictured with his two Great Pyrenees dogs and says, “Our war on drugs is the most costly and failed policy in U.S. history. By treating drugs as a medical rather than criminal issue, we can stop the killings in Mexico without firing a single shot.” He continues, “I believe in the right of each person to choose who they can marry and what they can do with their own body. We need to revoke the Patriot Act.”

Steve is running in an election which includes several prominent Democrats in a usually Democratic district, including teacher Marcy Winograd, California Secretary of State Debra Bowen, Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn and newcomer Dan Adler. Collett is spreading a civil libertarian message which advocates marijuana decriminalization for adults, which he says discriminates against minorities and the less affluent who are disproportionately victimized by arrests, prosecution and imprisonment. Collett says, “I can out-Democrat the Democrats on civil rights. At the same time, I’m a fiscal conservative.”

Collett adds, “We are pouring our tax dollars down the drain on a military and prison industrial complex that knows no boundaries. We spend $700 billion a year on defense, which is more than the next eleven largest defense budgets put together. Republican proposals to slash Medicare and add another $100 billion to defense are a disgrace.” Prominent Republicans in the race include Redondo Beach Mayor Mike Gin, Hermosa Beach City Councilman Kit Bobko and social conservative Craig Huey.

Collett, 56, is a Certified Public Accountant who owns his own firm in Venice and has lived in Hermosa Beach for 24 years. He projects spending approximately $50,000 on his campaign and is the only non-major party candidate who has raised enough money to require a Federal Election Commission finance report.

“We need to stop subsidizing big oil companies and others who are making record profits while paying no taxes. We need to stop cuts to education to pay for wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and the war on drugs. We need to stop forcing the middle class to pay for intrusive government activities. We need to stop trying to pay for the mess on the backs of the sick, the elderly, the children and the poor.”

Collett says his “win/win solutions can save tens of thousands of lives, reduce income taxes for a hundred million U.S. taxpayers and make a billion lives a little bit better.”

Mr. Collett is running for U.S. Congress in California’s 36th District on May 17th, 2011.

If you would like more information, or to arrange an interview with Mr. Collett, please call (424) 672-0088 or email electcollett@gmail.com

Mexican drug violence has taken its toll on the citizenry of Mexico. Popular pressure may force the Mexican government to give status to the cartels. Having won against a sovereign nation, what will the drug gangs in Mexico want next?

In a startling response to rising drug violence, the citizens of Mexico are about to launch nationwide protests against their government and specifically their President, Felipe Calderon.

The final straw was the murder of Juan Sicilia, son of well-known author, Javier Sicilia. Javier was out of the country during the murder but upon his return issued a scathing call for protests.

We are sick and tired of you politicians… because in your struggle for power you have torn asunder the fabric of the nation. You have been incapable of creating the consensus that the nation needs to find unity.

At first, this seems a call-to-action, a push to finally crush the cartels with every resource; permission to do whatever is necessary to break the cartels. It is not.

Sicilia makes the case that the war on drugs needs to end. Negotiations should be held because Mexico has no interest in protecting the United States, the nation “”that is not helping us at all.”

Sicilia’s lash-out at the U.S. may be a response to the Obama administration’s program of allowing American guns to get into the hands of Mexican cartels in a misguided attempt to catch them holding those guns. Or perhaps, the inability of the U.S. to control its own borders. Either way, Sicilia is leading the Mexican people in a protest to tell their government that the only recourse they have is to give in to the Cartels; to negotiate.

This decision is a sea-change. Mexican citizens are clearing the way to turn Mexico into nothing more than a narco-state run by groups of drug-dealing thugs with no interest in the success of their people or an economy. All sense of national pride will disappear and Mexico will become a country with no culture, no national pride and no hope.

Currently, the groups are fighting each other more than the government, which has reduced their effectiveness. That will slowly change as territories are become fixed, connected to the primary loyalties of village or neighborhood. Eventually, a fully formed open source insurgency will emerge and the government might find itself only in command of the capital.

At that point, Mexico will be a hollow state. A government in name only. [1]

There are implications for Americans. An influx of desperate former-Mexicans and a National security nightmare.

First, if the government fails or cedes power to the outlaws, Mexican citizens will find it necessary to emigrate to .. anywhere but there. The Caribbean or the United States.

Secondly, the lax border security on the U.S.-Mexican border will entice the newly-powerful cartels to take on the current weak leadership in the United States. Empowered by their newfound ability to get a sovereign government to bow to them, the drug lords will certainly believe they can get Californians, New Mexicans and Nevadans to wave a white flag.

GOVERNOR RICK SCOTT announces
comprehensive statewide response to
criminal drug trafficking in Florida

Launches Statewide Drug Strike Force to
assist local law enforcement agencies

Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced a statewide law enforcement response for an immediate impact to the criminal distribution and abuse of drugs in Florida . With support from Attorney General Pam Bondi and Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Gerald Bailey, the comprehensive plan will confront criminal drug trafficking in Florida , including, but not limited to, the criminal distribution of prescription drugs.

The Statewide Drug Strike Force will assist local law enforcement agencies by providing intelligence and analytical and investigative support. Commissioner Bailey will serve as the statewide coordinator of the strike force, and local strike teams will be co-led by Florida ’s sheriffs and police chiefs.

Governor Scott directed that $800,000 in unused grant funds be made immediately available for local law enforcement investigative efforts. The funds will go to the local strike teams to support overtime and other expenses. In addition, he directed other agencies under his purview to support the strike force. The Florida Department of Health and the Agency for Health Care Administration will provide regulatory and licensing personnel, and the Department of Business and Professional Regulation Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco will provide sworn investigators.

Governor Scott also announced the Florida Cabinet’s authorization of the Florida Highway Patrol’s participation, and Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater authorized investigators from the Division of Insurance Fraud to support the strike force.

Governor Scott’s plan addresses the multiple threats to public health and safety, including pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesalers, unscrupulous doctors, storefront pill mills masquerading as legitimate health clinics and street corner dealers. Each level provides an opportunity for law enforcement to intervene and stop the illegal flow of drugs into Florida communities.

“The numbers plainly show that Florida has a serious problem that demands a serious, coordinated law enforcement response,” Governor Scott stated. “ Florida ’s future is threatened by crimes involving drugs, and our local sheriffs and chiefs simply cannot continue to tackle this mounting issue alone.”

Members of Florida ’s law enforcement community who joined Governor Scott for today’s announcement were:

Chief Peter Paulding, Gulf Breeze Police Department, and president of the Florida Police Chiefs

Assistant Chief Marc Hamlin, Tampa Police Department

Major Sophie Teague, Tampa Police Department
