Obama, GOP Throw Their Dogs In The Ring

Screen Shot 2012-12-04 at 2.48.19 PM

I’m sure a lot of you exuded similar reactions to the president’s laughable fiscal proposal to prevent the nation from going over the cliff.  He asked for $50 billion in additional stimulus and $1.6 trillion in tax hikes “as part of any ‘fiscal cliff’ deal,” according to CNBC.  In all: The plan calls for $1.6 trillion in new tax revenue ...

Republicans Will Have to Swallow Tax Hikes

Screen Shot 2012-11-29 at 12.21.57 PM

As I’ve said previously, I hate tax increases, but I’ll settle if a 10:1 deal is reached.  Ten dollars of spending cuts, including welfare state cuts, for every one dollar raised in revenue.  It’s a rational deal.  If we can retake the Senate, and maintain our majority in the House; then perhaps we can discuss making other changes more palatable ...

How Falling Off The Fiscal Cliff Impacts You

Screen Shot 2012-11-20 at 4.42.34 PM

I’ll say it again, Democrats want to go off the fiscal cliff.  They’ll get their tax increases – $600 billion dollars worth– their revenue increases, and cuts to defense, which has been a goal of theirs for the past ten years.  Goodbye Bush tax cuts, Hello Obama tax hikes.  With the fledgling coalition of ‘cliff jumpers’ led by Sen. Patty ...

The Day After…

Screen Shot 2012-11-08 at 12.50.27 AM

Well, we lost.  Mitt Romney didn’t win comfortably.  BUT, Republicans maintained control of the House of Representatives.  In one of the most ignominious highlights of the night, the GOP lost two senate seats – increasing the Democratic majority by two.  The current makeup is 55 Democrats to 45 Republicans.  In a milestone for the ladies, 20% of the U.S. Senate ...

Good News Out of PA

Screen Shot 2012-11-06 at 6.28.29 PM

After casting my ballot for Mitt Romney, I tuned into Julie Mason’s The Press Pool on Sirius XM during my three hour trek back to Maryland.  Mason’s guest was Pittsburgh-Tribune Review staff writer and editorial page columnist Salena Zito, who detailed how Romney could win Pennsylvania tonight.  One indicator was Romney’s rally in Bucks County, which drew 30,000 people.  She ...

My Prediction: Romney Wins Comfortably

Screen Shot 2012-11-05 at 11.37.45 PM

The day has arrived.  In about twenty-four hours, the stains of Barack Obama will be wiped clean and honor and dignity will be restored to The White House under President-elect Mitt Romney.  It hasn’t been an easy road.  Conservatives waged a brutal primary battle that left us with a scarred nominee – Romney – coming out of the gate to ...

Mitt Romney Is Wrong On Defense Department Cuts

Pentagon

Mitt Romney has made the prevention of President Barack Obama’s sequestration plan one of his primary campaign talking points. He’s probably done this for two reasons: it plays well with voters in Virginia and veterans, but it also helps with those who want the U.S. to have the strongest military possible. There’s nothing wrong with the U.S. having a strong ...

Is It ‘Revenge of the Soccer Moms?’

Screen Shot 2012-10-24 at 12.58.03 AM

This election will be decided by women.  That’s what the experts say, which is why the left-wing and the Obama campaign were so adamant in driving the wedge issues of abortion and contraception to consolidate their support.  During the Democratic National Convention, abortion was front and center.  As I’ve said ad nauseum, it was Abortion Fest 2012.  The only thing ...

Biden Unhinged in VP Debate, while Ryan exuded self-control

Screen Shot 2012-10-12 at 9.56.46 AM

Last night’s Vice Presidential debate did put more pressure on Vice President Biden, who was tasked with delivering the same old progressive talking points about taxes, foreign policy, abortion, and health care – albeit with a little more spiritedness.  However, the pervasive grinning, smiling, and interrupting came off as egregiously arrogant and condescending.  Biden conveyed a “I’m gonna kill ...

Six Trillion Dollar Man: A Lyrical Evisceration of Obama

Screen Shot 2012-10-09 at 11.29.05 AM

Justen Charters, co-founder of Resistance 44, is sick of Obamanomics.  After all, President Obama  is “the six trillion dollar man” who “doesn’t have a budget plan”  and “basic economics is something he doesn’t understand.”  Enjoy! #obamastyle P.S. Justen, you didn’t make this song – somebody else made this happen.
