A former community organizer from Chicago, the president entered the Oval Office five-plus years ago, amid high hopes and promises of transparency. Critics warned not to expect anything of the kind, and to expect a velvet glove treatment if you were not counted among Obama’s close friends. Named the “Chicago Way” for a reason, operating only in a city, there is a reason it is not called, the “Way of the World”.

As the president and his lieutenants have so repeatedly illustrated, when a leader attempts to use a huge, overarching, government- and media-machine to nudge, cajole, and force results that they want, so long as the administration’s stories contain a modicum of believability, the media will push the narratives. Where Obama and others erred, was that they thought themselves to be above the fray. They would not have to actually do the dirty work, but they would surely benefit from others completing it.

Except the administration committed a big no-no. They spied on their media friends. In a story that is still being worked out, the Justice Department intercepted two months’ worth of office, cell, and home phone communications of Associated Press reporters. The AP’s president and CEO, Gary Pruitt, went so far as questioning if the actions were not a violation of the press’ Constitutional rights.

The IRS, the supposed non-partisan tax processing and collection agency, utilized onerous and expanded questioning for conservative and Tea Party groups’ non-profit applications, and the agency may have actually delayed the applications’ approvals too. There are concerns that the IRS targeted Pro-Israel groups as well. While I hold the possibility of the narrative that some small-time, low-level, bureaucrats acted on their own, I also would not simply dismiss the charges that the impetus for the questioning and delays came from much higher-ranking officials. As many as 1/4 of select right-wing groups could have received this extra “attention”.

Adding to those crises, is the still-ongoing investigation into the Benghazi massacre. The administration calls the September 11 attack, terrorism – or not – and blames a video – or not – it seems even they cannot keep the current story straight. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s shrill reply before Congress, of, “At this point – what difference does it make?!” has already become a centerpiece of a conservative group’s advertisement.

A president who took for granted his ability to spin a yarn, and have it accepted by a mostly friendly press. So many rabid supporters, all seeking to earn recognition from a president who made crowds faint while he was campaigning in 2008. So many others who just wanted a little recognition, and who would do anything to get it – is this what that kind of false hero-worship delivers? A kind of desperate symbiotic relationship of the media and the left-wing? That is an easy claim to make, and comes with plenty of proof.

Do we find ourselves with an executive branch, run amok, ignored for too long by its chief? Are these issues of underlings, who were acting far above what their roles should allow? Or is it simple, gross, incompetence?

A few things are now apparent. The president who worried many on the right, due to his tendency to act first, worry about Constitutionality later, is still bound by that Constitution and the rule of law. His administration, even with five years of a complicit Fourth Estate, still cannot fully run roughshod over the nation. The “Chicago Way”? It cannot be run to its feared potential, outside of a city on Lake Michigan, where its corrupt roots run much deeper. The years of waste and graft have taken a dire effect on the entire state of Illinois, and Chicago is now a micro managed miasma.

Finally, any lingering thoughts that the Tea Party had run out of steam, that conservatism had become an anachronism – should be ignored. When shown its alternative, and the machinations necessary for an alternative to even resemble a functioning ideology, people, as we are beginning to see now, will react with disgust and disdain.

Boston was a city that had artificially seized up – made motionless and frozen in fear by 24 hour coverage. That same 24 hour news coverage, with its instantaneous updates, and conjecture-as-news, as exhausting as it was, provided us with a few valuable insights. The media and the government both showed themselves as highly amateurish at times, but perhaps most instructive, the resilience and ability of Americans to stand together in dire times was also shown. We saw both the best, and at times, the worst of humanity.

It is an easy claim that the Tsarnaev brothers were the most vile and inhumane criminals we have seen in some time. Although, not killing nearly as many innocent people as the gutless cowards of 9/11/2001, the Tsarnaevs’ methods were much, much more personal. It is very doubtful that any of the 9/11 terrorists knew any of their 3,000 victims, beyond sitting down beside them on a plane that day, and the victims were a part of a group – victim to both terror, and the randomness of a terribly, macabre, draw. The Boston Marathon bombers carefully chose their spots and their victims, including an innocent 8-year old boy and his family.

The greatest reactions were of the people – who immediately after the tragedy, where seen treating the injured, giving solace to victims in shock, and transporting casualties blocks to the nearest ambulances. When the government ordered people to stay inside, and yet, help with the manhunt, by reporting anything that they saw – it was then that the people came through with the most important tip of the manhunt. The hull of a small boat was the location of Djhokhar’s last free breaths.

Nearly as disgusting as the Tsarnaevs themselves, was the media. Constantly jumping from one allegation or anonymous leak to another, they cannot have helped in the hunt for Dzhokhar. They were also slow to report, perhaps getting nervous when an embarrassed CNN reported incorrect information, and had to apologize. Various members of the press, whether officially representing their employers or not, showed incredible amounts of racism and bigotry. People like Salon’s David Sirota hoped for the bombers to be white Americans. People like MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry denied Islam had any connections with the violent acts. Indeed, in their hurry to receive air time and acclaim, the media personalities doubled down on political correctness, and did not seem to double-check at all.

Government played both two roles in the Boston tragedy: it was both heroic capturing force, who marshaled so many resources to catch mysterious terrorists, and heavy-handed ogre, telling people to stay inside their homes, when no one seemed sure where the terrorist was. For sure, the lasso thrown around Boston seemed to tighten the senses of fear and anxiety, in both the innocent citizenry, and the police force responsible for an extraordinary task: finding suspects who had already killed one officer, and had exchanged fire with them. The police did get their man, but the so many tense moments had a high cost to everyone involved.

Perhaps the most important take-away here is that government showed itself, again, as a mechanism of re-activity not pro-activity. Despite government’s regulations, and recent increased calls for gun control, the Tsarnaevs scoffed at those past laws and regulations, and procured and used weapons against police. The government assures us, passing new legislation will be different – the future terrorists and criminals will follow these new rules.

Will anything change? Will the media report more slowly, and more carefully? Will the citizenry be more willing to report suspicious people? I hope. The images of an innocent, naked man face-down in the street, massed, flashing red and blue lights, bloody sidewalks, and police with determined, clinched jaws should not soon be forgotten.

I don’t think anyone is against rehabilitation, but how many times is enough? There is an old saying that applicable here: “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!” That saying refers to lessons we ought to have learned. But, it seems that in Chicago, judges and police can be fooled at least nineteen (that’s right, 19) times. Where were the MSM trumpets on this one?

It seems that Jesus Castaneda, who is fifteen years old, was arrested for the nineteenth time after yet another crime in (wait for it …) Chicago. Castaneda, who was known to Chicago police, is accused of using a gun to rob an acquaintance last weekend (February 2-3). The acquaintance knew Castaneda as “Little Rowdy.”

What is (IMHO) even more outrageous is that Cook County judge Maria Kuriakos-Ciesil set bail on Thursday at $25,000. Why, one must ask, was bail even discussed, much less set? And if Castaneda makes it (some bleeding-heart will put up the $25,000), is there any doubt that he will commit another crime before his scheduled court appearance on February 27? The MSM was fooled. The Chicago police were fooled. Cook County judges were fooled. Rahm Emanuel was fooled. But, perhaps they were not fooled. They all chose to look the other way.

But have no fear – Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel has crime under control. How do I know?

B. Christopher Agee, in his excellent CDN article, let’s us know the current crime situation in Chicago: “According to the [Chicago police] department, crime scenes at which a suspect is “not on the scene and not expected to return immediately” and the victim is “safe, secure and not in need of medical attention” will no longer get a police visit.”

Agee continues, “Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said he wants to put more officers on patrol rather than send them to crime scenes.” I’m sure that McCarthy’s policies will comfort all the victims of Castaneda’s crimes.

Chicago Police arrested eight offenders … associated with an open-air drug market … after a two-month investigation. Oh, that explains Castaneda’s situation. It took Chicago police “only” two months to make arrests in an open-air drug market.

Speaking of bleeding-hearts, here is an article by Angela Caputo that truly fits, that describes what is ongoing in Chicago: “Second City Ranks First in Teen Arrests”

More youth killed in Chicago than any other American city.

As of December 21, 2012, shootings in Chicago have increased 12 percent this year, and homicides are up 19 percent.

Since Rahm Emanuel’s gun violence policies have worked so well (NOT!) in Chicago, the country’s murder capital, that may explain why he feels he has to lecture the rest of us on the best way to curb gun violence.

But not to worry. This arrest of Castaneda was only the second one that was gun-related. And, as Lisa Richards said in her CDN article, we all know how evil guns by themselves can be.

So, what’s next? Well, as long as Rahm Emanuel, Dear Leader Barack Hussein Obama’s former chief-of-staff, remains Chicago’s mayor, nothing. As Robert Maranto and Patrick Wolf of The Huffington Post wrote, “In Police Work, Nothing Succeeds Like Failure.” The reason is that, “… there is no relationship between a police chief’s cutting crime and keeping his or her job.” As long as the MSM continues to provide cover, nothing will happen. All we can do is continue to ask: “How many times is enough?”

But that’s just my opinion.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced that violent crime dropped in 2011. The number of murders, rapes, robberies and aggravated assaults all went down by a total of 4 perecent, continuing a pattern. The Gun-control advocates’ multimillion-dollar lobbying efforts are designed to manufacture mass anxiety and suggest that every gun owner is a potential killer. But they are quite silent when crime rates decline.

Regarding the crime decline pattern, Andrew Arulanandam, spokesman for the National Rifle Association (NRA) said, “This is not a one-year anomaly, but a steady decline in the FBI’s violent-crime rates. It would be disingenuous for anyone to not credit increased self-defense laws to account for this decline.” Today, 41 states either allow carrying without a permit or have “shall issue” laws that make it easy for just about any noncriminal to get a permit.

Gun manufacturing is the one private-sector industry “doing fine” during Obama’s time in office. Sturm, Ruger & Co. sold 1 million firearms in the first quarter of 2012, up 50 percent over the same period in 2011. Smith & Wesson announced a firearm-order backlog of approximately $439 million by the end of April, 2012, up 135 percent from the same quarter in 2011.

Obama could take credit for the reduction in violent crime that has followed the spike in gun ownership during his presidency. Instead, he’s silent about his greatest positive accomplishment because Obama has a record of opposing our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. During his 2008 campaign, Obama told voters, “I have no intention of taking away folks’ guns.” He stated “Lawful gun owners have nothing to fear.” Suuuuuuuuuuuure! Obama also said that the Washington D.C. handgun ban was Constitutional. He also told Sarah Brady that “I just want you to know that we are working on it. We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.”

History has established that criminals will be able to get guns whether the rest of the citizenry is allowed to have them or not. Law-abiding gun ownership is a check against crime and government tyranny.

So I think its safe to say that that the bad guys would rather not commit crimes against people who are armed.

But that’s just my opinion.

On Thursday, 22 tourists on a Carnival Splendor cruise were robbed at gunpoint in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. In what had to be a preplanned robbery that may have used public information about the itinerary of the trip, as the hooded gunmen intercepted the passengers while they were on a bus returning to the ship from a field hike. No one was injured and the bandits made off with the passengers valuables, including cameras, cash, assorted electronic devices, jewelry and anything else of value that the passengers may have had on their person at the time.

The Carnival Cruise line has pledged to reimburse the victims and has suspended this particular “tour.” The Mexican tourism industry had already been hard hit by the constant violence, extremely high murder rate, and overall lawlessness that plagues Mexico, with the U.S. State Dept. going so far as to issue a travel advisory for any Americans thinking of going to Mexico earlier this month.

MSNBC, in an act of utter malfeasance and complete denial of truth, parroted an announcement from Latitude Intl, the public relations firm representing the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board, as they tried to downplay this dangerous incident as “very rare.”

On Saturday, Latitude Intl, the public relations firm representing the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board, called Thursday’s robbery an “extremely rare incident.” A statement on Latitude’s Facebook page said, “minutes after we learned of the incident representatives from the local and state government, tourism leaders and tour operators [moved] to provide assistance to those involved and police and the district’s attorney office started their investigation.”

Yes, the violence and utter lawlessness in Mexico is so “rare” that even the politically correct political operatives in the U.S. State department have issued a warning about traveling to Mexico. After reviewing the State Department’s CYA announcement telling Americans about the dangers of being robbed or killed when traveling in Mexico today, the politically correct puppets follow the lead of MSNBC… in saying no it’s not really dangerous to travel to Mexico these days: ( emphasis added)

Millions of U.S. citizens safely visit Mexico each year for study, tourism, and business, including more than 150,000 who cross the border every day. The Mexican government makes a considerable effort to protect U.S. citizens and other visitors to major tourist destinations, and there is no evidence that Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCOs) have targeted U.S. visitors and residents based on their nationality. Resort areas and tourist destinations in Mexico generally do not see the levels of drug-related violence and crime reported in the border region and in areas along major trafficking routes.

The above paragraph from the U.S. State department pretty much sums up this travesty. While warning Americans about the dangers of traveling to Mexico today, those same politically correct incompetents try to tell Americans that the Mexican drug cartels and assorted criminal Mexican Banditos do not target tourists.

Try telling that irresponsible fairy tale to the people who just got robbed at gunpoint, while on a Cruise tour bus… while in Mexico.

Joins Ed Meese, Grover Norquist, Bill Bennett, and dozens of conservative leaders supporting conservative criminal justice reforms

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ – Jeb Bush, the first Republican to be elected to consecutive terms as Governor of Florida, is the newest signatory of the Right On Crime statement of principles, which aligns the conservative agenda on criminal justice reform with long-standing conservative principles such as accountability, limited government, and fiscal responsibility.

“States across the country, including Florida, are proving that policies based on these sound conservative principles will reduce crime and its cost to taxpayers,” Gov. Bush said. ”Many of the signatories of this statement of principles are respected leaders and friends, and I am pleased to add my support.”

“Jeb Bush’s track record as Governor of Florida was marked by consistent and visionary conservative leadership,” said ROC senior policy advisor Marc Levin. ”Gov. Bush’s endorsement of these principles increases the credibility of the conservative criminal justice reform movement on a national level. Gov. Bush’s support will also provide valuable momentum in Florida, which presents one of the best opportunities for implementing these reforms that better protect the public and reduce the costs of crime.”

The conservative statement of principles was unveiled last December by Right on Crime, an initiative spearheaded by the Texas Public Policy Foundation and based on measures implemented in Texas that have reduced crime by more than 9 percent while saving taxpayers more than $2 billion.

The campaign grounds itself in the basics of conservatism: personal responsibility, free enterprise, limited government, and family. Using a model that has been successful in Texas since 2005, Right on Crime promotes data-driven solutions that are proven to restore victims, decrease the number of repeat offenders, and save taxpayer dollars.

Ten states across the country have enacted reforms this year that are aligned with the Right On Crime statement of principles. These reforms include:

Juvenile justice overhauls in Florida and Texas;

Closure of no-longer-needed prisons in Colorado and Texas;

Evidence-based diversion programs that will offset the need for new prisons in Arkansas and Ohio; and

Parole reforms in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, and North Carolina.

The conservative statement of principles and a current list of signatories are available online atwww.rightoncrime.com/statement-of-principles.

Chicago has a problem. Inner city kids are stabbing, clubbing, shooting, running-over, robbing and bullying eachother. According to Chicago police superintendent Garry McCarthy, the cause is .. government sponsored racism.

Superintendent McCarthy gives us a shining example of pandering to a segment of society at the cost of the rest. in this video of him in a heavily-liberal, mainly-black church making a case for gun rights as a race issue.

Wandering around like a misplaced evangelist, Garry McCarthy also tried to implicate Sarah Palin in the inner-city mayhem. Recalling a situation in Newark, NJ where five people were shot, McCarthy said said he went home to relax and found “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” on the T.V.

“She was caribou hunting and talking about the right to bear arms. Why wasn’t she at the crime scene with me?”

To answer the obvious, no, she wasn’t. She also wasn’t shooting people in Newark. We can drive cars and people who drive cars kill other people. We can ride horses and some people die doing that. The idea that somehow a responsible gun owner is to blame or in any way related to the death of five people in New Jersey is ludicrous, intellectually dishonest and an obvious political ploy meant to garner the favor of the uninformed.

Sarah Palin does not shoot black and brown children. In fact, in majority, white people aren’t the major offenders in black or brown homicide. Garry’s attempt to blame racism for the failure of the inner-city community to put good societal values in-place is a pandering, dishonest ploy to favor a liberal agenda. Using reality show as the basis for his argument almost entirely proves the point.

Dave Copel produced research that illustrates the true problem: guns don’t kill people, people do:

For inner-city black teenagers, the homicide rate is astronomical. The huge rise in gun crime perpetrated by older urban teenagers has not been replicated in other areas. In the suburbs, where legal restrictions on guns are generally less severe, the mortality rate has stayed about the same.

That’s right, guns are not the problem. All other factors being equal, it’s the inner-city population that chooses to murder each other. The guns are simply the mode chosen. Would we outlaw bats, crowbars, bows, knives, cars? No, but if guns are no longer the problem, they will try to find the next thing to blame – but not if it means blaming the murderers themselves.

Harry Reid is once again working on a Climate Change/Cap & Trade/ Energy/Pollution Bill and Obama just wanted to remind you what to expect:

That’s right, “Prices will necessarily skyrocket.” And that’s just the minimum you can expect from this oh so wonderous 20 lbs. of legislation. According to Politico:

Reid confirmed the bill will have four parts: an oil spill response; a clean-energy and job-creation title based on work done in the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee; a tax package from the Senate Finance Committee; and a section that deals with greenhouse gas emissions from the electric utility industry.

Underscoring the delicate nature of the issue, Reid insisted that the proposal he will introduce in about 10 days should not be called a cap-and-trade plan or even a cap on emissions.

“I don’t use that,” he said. “Those words are not in my vocabulary. We’re going to work on pollution.”

In other words, It’s Cap & Trade with another Progressive name change. This will be the most lifestyle affecting legislation in history and will force an unprecedented change on each and every single American. This is quite simply a lifestyle killer, a job killer, a free enterprise killer, and an economy killer. This will be the final blow to our economy and our liberty.

I will explain below, but first you need to meet the man behind the scenes, Maurice Strong.

Maurice Strong is a very powerful Billionaire. He is also currently on the Chicago Climate Exchange Board of Directors, a silent partner in Al Gore’s Generation Investment Management Company, the “godfather of the U.N.’s 1997 Kyoto treaty”, and so much more. Here you can find an extensive dossier by DiscoverTheNetworks.Org.

Here is Maurice Strong in a 1972 BBC Interview:

That’s right, all around Climate Change fear mongering, Global Governance, and licenses for babies due to “over population”

The main thing you need to know about Maurice Strong is his plan, because Obama is following it to the letter. In the following book excerpt you can see the plan take shape, part disguised as an idea for a novel:

This is taken from Chapter 24 of The Creature from Jekyll Island © 2002 by G. Edward Griffin

U.S. BRANDED AS ECOLOGICAL AGGRESSOR

The use of compulsion is an important point in these plans. People in the industrialized nations are not expected to cooperate in their own demise. They will have to be forced. They will not like it when their food is taken for global distribution. They will not approve when they are taxed by a world authority to finance foreign political projects. They will not voluntarily give up their cars or resettle into smaller houses or communal barracks to satisfy the resource-allocation quotas of a UN agency. Club-of-Rome member Maurice Strong states the problem:

In effect, the United States is committing environmental aggression against the rest of the world. … At the military level, the United States is the custodian. At the environmental level, the United States is clearly the greatest risk. … One of the worst problems in the United States is energy prices – they’re too low. …

It is clear that current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class … involving high meat intake, consumption of large amounts of frozen and `convenience’ foods, ownership of motor-vehicles, numerous electric household appliances, home and work-place air-conditioning … expansive suburban housing … are not sustainable.

Mr. Strong’s remarks were enthusiastically received by world environmental leaders, but they prompted this angry editorial response in the Arizona Republic:

Translated from eco-speak, this means two things: (1) a reduction in the standard of living in Western nations through massive new taxes and regulations, and (2) a wholesale transfer of wealth from industrialized to under-developed countries. The dubious premise here is that if the U.S. economy could be reduced to, say, the size of Malaysia’s, the world would be a better place. … Most Americans probably would balk at the idea of the U.N. banning automobiles in the U.S.

A PLOT FOR ECONOMIC CRISIS

Maurice Strong believes – or says that he believes – the world’s ecosystems can be preserved only if the affluent nations of the world can be disciplined into lowering their standard of living. Production and consumption must be curtailed. To bring that about, those nations must submit to rationing, taxation, and political domination by world government. They will probably not do that voluntarily, he says, so they will have to be forced. To accomplish that, it will be necessary to engineer a global monetary crisis which will destroy their economic systems. Then they will have no choice but to accept assistance and control from the UN.

This strategy was revealed in the May, 1990, issue of West magazine, published in Canada. In an article entitled “The Wizard of Baca Grande,” journalist Daniel Wood described his week-long experience at Strong’s private ranch in southern Colorado. This ranch has been visited by such CFR notables as David Rockefeller, Secretary-of-State Henry Kissinger, founder of the World Bank Robert McNamara, and the presidents of such organizations as IBM, Pan Am, and Harvard.

During Wood’s stay at the ranch, the tycoon talked freely about environmentalism and politics. To express his own world view, he said he was planning to write a novel about a group of world leaders who decided to save the planet. As the plot unfolded, it became obvious that it was based on real people and real events. Wood continues the story:

Each year, he explains as background to the telling of the novel’s plot, the World Economic Forum convenes in Davos, Switzerland. Over a thousand CEOs, prime ministers, finance ministers, and leading academics gather in February to attend meetings and set economic agendas for the year ahead. With this as a setting, he then says: “What if a small group of these world leaders were to conclude that the principal risk to the earth comes from the actions of the rich countries? And if the world is to survive, those rich countries would have to sign an agreement reducing their impact on the environment. Will they do it? … The group’s conclusion is `no.’ the rich countries won’t do it. They won’t change. So, in order to save the planet, the group decides: Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about? …

“This group of world leaders,” he continues, “form a secret society to bring about an economic collapse. It’s February. They’re all at Davos. These aren’t terrorists. They’re world leaders. They have positioned themselves in the world’s commodity and stock markets. They’ve engineered, using their access to stock exchanges and computers and gold supplies, a panic. Then, they prevent the world’s stock markets from closing. They jam the gears. They hire mercenaries who hold the rest of the world leaders at Davos as hostages. The markets can’t close. The rich countries…” And Strong makes a slight motion with his fingers as if he were flicking a cigarette butt out the window.

I sit there spellbound. This is not any storyteller talking, this is Maurice Strong. He knows these world leaders. He is, in fact, co-chairman of the Council of the World Economic Forum. He sits at the fulcrum of power. He is in a position to do it.

“I probably shouldn’t be saying things like this,” he says.

And there you have the plan. In order to” save the world” we must bring the most industrialized nations to their knees and force them to be ruled under Global Governance and redistribute wealth in the form of Carbon Credits.

Harry Reid’s Energy Bill will target power plant emissions according to the New York Times:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is drafting legislation to limit carbon emissions at the nation’s power plants, a risky political maneuver that faces divisions within his own party and a Senate clock that is quickly winding down.

Reid (D-Nev.) will place the contentious carbon provision in a broader energy bill that tightens rules around offshore oil drilling, encourages clean energy production and jobs, and reduces oil consumption — things that might be difficult for some lawmakers to oppose.

According to America’sPower.org “Half of the electricity that heats our homes, lights our schools, and powers our businesses comes from coal.”

By placing a tax on Coal Power Plants they will be forced to either go bankrupt, as Obama stated, or simply produce less electricity. That’s half of the electricity in the United States gone or severely cut. From this alone you can expect “skyrocketing” prices due to supply and demand, as well as energy rationing, and rolling blackouts. There simply won’t be enough electricity available for everyone, even if you can afford it.

But don’t take my word for it, let’s look at the UK. In an Article titled “Blackout Britain Faces Big Turnoff” the Express.Co.UK explains that green hysteria is causing disruptions in their power grid:

BRITAIN faces years of blackouts and soaring electricity bills because of the drive toward green power, a leading energy expert warned last night. A growing obsession with global warming and “renewable” sources threatens the stability of our supply.

Derek Birkett, a former Grid Control Engineer who has a lifetime’s experience in electricity supply throughout Britain, warned that the cost of the crisis could match that of the recent banking collapse. And he claimed that renewable energy expectations were now nothing more than “dangerous illusions” which would hit consumers hard in the pocket.

“We are going to pay a very heavy price for the fact there has been a catalogue of neglect by the former Government which has focused on renewable energy sources,” Mr Birkett said.

“We need a mix of sources and this takes time. Renewables have the problem of being intermittent, particularly wind, and we need more back-up capacity. By having all our sources in one basket we are risking disruption.

“There is a lot of over-enthusiasm by governments to push global warming, which makes me very suspicious.” Less than five per cent of our energy comes from renewable sources but the “disproportionate” cost of implementing green technology runs into many millions of pounds, he said.

In a new book, When Will the Lights Go Out, published this month, Mr Birkett claims things will only get worse. He said the “lavish incentives” being offered to developers of green energy are being passed on to customers as the UK struggles to meet EU directives on carbon emissions.

He also warned that a growing reliance on renewable energy is creating widespread uncertainty in the electricity supply chain.

With many nuclear power stations and coal plants ending their lives and being taken out of service we “can’t rule out” people being left without power. The real problem is the cost of making sure this does not happen, and Britain’s lights “do not go out”, he warned.

“The country is going to have to make a choice whether to go along with green ideas of renewable generation or go back to coal and nuclear power.”

We too will have high prices, blackouts, and insane carbon standards. Any “Green Energy” currently available is intermittent and not dependable. Due to this American Manufacturing will suffer. If they are able to get the electricity to be productive, the trickle down affect will in turn skyrocket the price of American made merchandise. Factories will close. Businesses will cut costs by layoffs or simply close up shop. Small and Large Business will fail. If you have an electric car, you can’t afford the electricity to charge it, if any is available. You certainly can’t afford the gas prices for a traditional car, not to mention whatever emissions penalties they tie to it. No more air conditioning. No more liberty. The economy will fail. They will claim the Free Market failed.

Maurice Strong, who will make a fortune through trading Carbon Credits at the CCX, will have seen his plan come to fruition through Obama, and delight at the fall of the US economy. Obama will use this failure to enact his Marxist Plan and Nationalize all business and industry in order to save the U.S. from the “Free Market” All in the name of the greatest scam in the world, Climate Change/Global Warming
