The Successful Desensitization of the American Voter

Of course no good-hearted American wants socialism or communism, but after more than 90 years of progressive desensitization, it’s becoming much more acceptable.

In September of 1919, the Communist Party of the United States (CPUS) was formed as a counter to the Socialist Party of America (SPA). CPUS differed with SPA on one critical issue – the strategy to use to rid the United States of capitalism. While SPA wanted to see organized, militaristic direct action (bombings, armed insurretion, violence against those who disagreed with them), the CPUS wanted to focus on electoral politics – a strategy still used today by America’s Big-Labor unions.

For almost a century, a socialist influence has moved slowly and patiently to bring the last best hope for true economic and social freedom to a cataclysmic end. The tools of class warfare, social justice and false equality have been used to slowly de-sensitize the American populace so that socialistic ideas could take hold and win in election years. Statements like “taking care of our seniors”, “healthcare for all”, “protecting the working poor”, “defending the middle-class”, “making the rich pay their fair share” and more are intended to guilt American voters into trading self-reliance and liberty for government entitlements, dependence and security. As Benjamin Franklin once said, “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety

Obama’s “fundamental transformation” of the United States is a call to arms for Socialism. Such fundamentalism – as Benjamin Gitlow who was arrested as a communist revolutionary in 1919 – attested at his trial in 1920 is central to the socialist agenda:

The socialists have always maintained that the change from capitalism to socialism would be a fundamental change, that is, we would have a complete reorganization of society, that this change would not be a question of reform; that the capitalist system of society would be completely changed and that that system would give way to a new system of society based on a new code of laws, based on a new code of ethics, and based on a new form of government.

  • The government has gone so far as to first take over an American company (GM), then hand ownership to the Union after stripping investors of their rightful stake.
  • Both GE and GM have been heavily pressured by the government to do its bidding – even to the detriment to each business
  • The blackmailing of Boeing by the NLRB as favor to the labor unions
  • Health Care Reform will be the death of the Health Care industry the way we know it – before long, only the government will be left
  • A late Friday executive order by Barack Obama allowing the government more control over the centralized manufacturing and distribution of goods (see: definition of socialism)

Nothing scary here right?

So while not technically socialism by Merriam-Webster’s definition, Crony Socialism or Socialism-light at a minimum is running rampant in our government – how long until the next step is taken?

Just 10 years ago, did anyone believe that the government would have taken over a public company, raided Gibson guitars without cause, given the President the power to direct manufacturing and output, told an aircraft company where it may or may not build a factory, forced terrible health insurance down American’s throats, subsidized something so awful as the Chevy Volt or turned California farms into desert to save an inedible fish?

But the lights aren’t flashing, buzzers aren’t sounding yet are they?

A recently publicized video of Attorney General Eric Holder stating that the leftists must brainwash American’s against gun ownership is a testament to the strategy of the progressive socialists. Fast and Furious was but one attempt to make the gun industry into a distasteful and hated villain – even though it was the government itself being the terrorist, criminal and facilitator of murder.

Yet, the outcry is minimal. The alarm is only sounding in the deepest corners of the Pro-American right. Even Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has rejected the idea that socialism can be used to describe Barack Obama. Why not call it what is is: a 21st century brand of crony-socialism and go after the current administration? Perhaps because of the backlash from the American voters. The electorate has already been so numbed to the ideals and actions of the administration that they no longer see these activities as a threat to the basic fabric that created the greatest nation on Earth. Voters have been so desensitized to these activities that they no longer see them as reprehensible, wrong and detrimental to the American way of life.

American voters are railing against those who would toe the line against socialism. Falling in-line with the talking points of the left, a large portion of the electorate does not believe that those in Congress should be reversing the growth of government by budgetary restriction. So many now owe a portion of their subsistence to the government or soon will that they have no choice but to bend to the will of the ever more powerful central government – exactly what the founders wanted to prevent, the progressive socialists have worked so hard for and of which de Toqueville warned.

While professing “give-and-take”, socialist progressives aren’t actually giving anything. The right is asking for budget cuts and the left has not been able to even hold the deficit steady while in control of congress. The Democrat-controlled Senate hasn’t offered a budget in the entirety of Obama’s term and the President has not yet demanded one. Despite concerns from the Congressional Budget Office, Americans are not demanding reforms to government spending to prevent America from falling into the same debt trap that has the European Union teetering on the brink of economic collapse.

And again – no sirens, no media outcry, and the size of anti-big government rallies is dwindling. Americans are slowly accepting a long-term, dire fate in trade for self-serving gifts from the public treasury.

Nothing to see here folks, please move along.

Occupy Wall Street a.k.a. The Spanish Revolution

In observing the Occupy Parks movement on television, in the news, in blogs, youtube videos and email, many have gleaned some idea of the many concerns that are important to the disparate groups littering our taxpayer-maintained greenways. At first glance, the protests may seem only to be the progressive version of a really long sleep-over – but there is a dangerous message to be heard.

Those witnessing the Occupy this and that events are asking “for what purpose?” A more important question is “where is it coming from?”

As Occupy Wall Street started, a Spain-based socialist group was shown displaying their event, Toma la Bolsa (take the market), on the Occupy Wall Street livestream – in fact, for almost half of the time the stream was running. Once the live stream in New York started, the people front-and-center were.. you guessed it .. from Spain.

In May, Spanish progressives held their anti-bank event, but called it “The Spanish Revolution”. It had some similar messaging: Bankers, Corporations and Politicians are corrupt, the government should give more to the poor, the rich are the problem, etc. They camped out in public squares and created the same mess that is building in tax payer funded parks all over the United States.

For the current U.S.-based protests, calls to arms come from Toma la Bolsa on Facebook (image right) and unions – still think this is a grass roots American protest?

For those still not sure, the Iranian military lends some hope. According to an Associated Press post, Gen. Masoud Jazayeri of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said that the protests “are a revolution in the making that will topple what he called the Western capitalist system.” Who wouldn’t be proud of that?

Sure, the facebook page lists the place as “Bolsa de Madrid” (Market of Madrid), but why then call the event “Occupy Wall Street” and offer two American web sites for more info? Why is blurring national identity so important to the socialist movement?

The American experiment is in the way of global governance.  True freedom works better than centralized government and leaving a successful proof in the world is hindering their ability to rally others to their side. These protests, led by socialist groups like labor unions and foreign NWO collectives, are necessary to bring about the fall of a successful capitalist economy so that the Socialist Utopia can appear out of thin air – just like all those other times that it never did.

The obstruction – otherwise known as the Constitution – is also impairing SEIU and other big-labor groups from keeping their boots on the necks of businesses. That is why the unions have been helping to organize, and spread the message about Occupy [insert location here] events.

I rigorously defend the right of the American OWS protesters to have their say. While their methods are highly-ineffective at doing much more than creating the nation’s most odoriferous slumber party, it’s their right. But, I ask – Where is the respect for the nation and Constitution that protects that right? No Pledge of Allegiance, no National Anthem, not even a tip of the hat to the flag at sun-up or sunset — nothing.

These non-productive, demand everything, irresponsible and uninformed protesters are the useful idiots so often spoke of by Socialist leadership. They aren’t thanking anyone for anything, thinking of anyone but themselves, taking responsibility for their own actions or understanding what consequences their demands would have if implemented.

All debt must be stricken from the “Books.” – seriously? As borrowers, they signed a contract, took the money to do with as they wished, and now they don’t want to pay it back. Wiping out that debt would have serious negative implications on the economy – and the ones best able to survive in a credit-starved marketplace .. the wealthy.

It’s important to note, that for the socialists, enough is never enough. Spain has a heavy socialist leaning and still they protest that they do not get enough from their government – even though their selfish demands have nearly driven the country to bankruptcy. In Greece, these so-called revolutionaries have actually driven the country into default – it is only a matter of weeks before Greek bond holders will be wiped out for having invested in a country that chased the progressive illusion – to the same detriment as those that did so before it.

The protesters are openly calling for an end to capitalism. In no uncertain terms – in interview-after-interview – they are demanding the destruction of capitalism. What would they replace it with? Most want some form of socialism. Others want something that sounds tyrannical in nature. Of course, there are also the anarchists. All of them want capitalism to end and the most vocal and organized of the groups are those selling socialist ideals – CPUSA, SEIU and Spaniards crying out “Toma la Bolsa”.

If the Unions and the Spanish want socialism, why not start where they have headway? Probably because they are losing ground and need to make in-roads elsewhere. In May elections, the majority Spanish Socialist party got crushed by right-leaning candidates. Socialism isn’t even working in Spain so the Spanish socialists are trying their failed experiment elsewhere.

They are.

Leftists try to point to Norway as a socialist success, but they misunderstand socialism. Norway operates under free-market principles, albeit heavily regulated. Norway is a heavily-taxed welfare state, but that is not the same as owning all property and the means of economic production.

Cuba and North Korea are truly Socialist. The government owns the land, methods of production and decides when and how to use them. Shining examples of what pure, unadulterated equality produces. The U.S.S.R was another beacon of hope for the Utopian socialists.

In the capitalistic economy of the United States, the definition of poor for a family of three is $18,104 per year according to the government. The definition in Cuba is … everyone – except the government elites. Oddly enough, that definition also holds true for North Korea.

So why are the socialists spending so much time trying to change successful and prosperous countries? Why not spend more time trying to fix the messes that socialism has already created – or is the movement really nothing  more than angry children stomping around and yelling “I want more” with no thought to the consequences?

Yeah .. that was rhetorical.

CPUSA–> Obama’s Jobs Bill–> OccupyWallStreet

Communism, Socialism, OccupyWallStreet, and Barack Obama’s Jobs Bill all nestled together under one all-telling blanket.

While the following excerpts may sound familiar to some, the underlying repercussions that come with them may very well  surprise most of our readers:

“A better and peaceful world is possible- a world where people and nature come before profits.”  That may sound rosy enough at the outset,  until we see what directly follows that statement:

“That’s Socialism. That’s our vision. We are The Communist Party USA. That statement is brought to you by the CPUSA’s current homepage. When indoctrinating America’s youth, Communists always start out with championing Socialism. The Socialist Workers Party was/is just another stealth front group for Communist indoctrination through the use of  the term “workers” also. The infamous National Socialist  German Workers Party was widely known as the NAZI Party, which hid behind  title, The German Workers Party prior to a name change in 1920. The term NAZI is German and stems from Nationalsozialist.  That little history lesson, while many folks may view it as irrevelant towards today’s American Politics, should never be forgotten, as history truly does have a way of repeating itself over and over. What is also troubling is the fact that we even have a Communist party in America today.

Now for some more tidbits from the CPUSA homepage we see the following link to an article from People’s World  titled: America’s kids tell their stories from their Wall Street Camp.

While the article goes on to tell stories of the cute “kids” at the protests, it also carries a very heavy undercurrent of anti-capitalistic indoctrination in it. Take this paragraph for instance:

Esmeralda, Youth Council President of the Mid Manhattan NAACP, and two friends are camping out together. Esmeralda, 17, says she’s had “lots of internships, but never a real job.” Her high school is just across the street from Zuccotti Park and she’s been joining her friends Chilligan, 19, and Nicole, 20 at the park every day after class.

Maybe a little less time spent as a 17-yr old Youth President of the NAACP and a little more time applying herself at school would lead to a decent job and/or qualify her for college one day in the future. 17 years old and already an anti-capitalist community organizer complaining she doesn’t have  a job. What she really means that everyone has the right to a $20.00 an hour job, regardless of employment as seen here. This is what we see more and more of every day in America, thanks to the indoctrination of our youth in the classrooms. They get out into the real world only to discover that they do not have a basic set of skills to actually put towards working for a living. we see this pattern in virtually all of the “stories about the kids at Wall Street Camp” in that article. Socialists are experts at playing the victim card while actually creating more victims by indoctrinating them into hating capitalism and worshiping the nanny state. That’s Socialism.

Also found on today’s CPUSA homepage is also this unmitigated lie being told to the uninformed masses of American youth: “Socialism will meet the needs of the great majority of our people and lay the basis for solving our social, economic and environmental problems.”  Did you catch that statement, all you kids at the Wall Street camps?  Put on your Mao and Che shirts, denounce capitalism, become a Socialist puppet, and you are well on your way to the Communist Utopia where poof!, all our problems will auto-magically disappear! What the Communist propagandists fail to tell you is that Communism leads to bread lines and wide-spread poverty 100% of the time. ( Unless you are enslaved to the government dictatorship that feeds and clothes you in exchange for serving  the state, in which case they shall deem you important enough to keep alive until you outlive your usefulness, or just get too old to work)  The lies being told about supposedly being a slave to evil capitalism somehow forget to inform people of the benefits of capitalism, such as the freedom to live and work where you choose, the right towards prosperity through hard work and opportunity, and the right to worship as you choose. You get none of that under a Communist dictatorship, period. Just speaking out against government abuses of the people can get you imprisoned for life, or even killed in all Communist countries. Beware of the Socialism pimps, as they are always working towards creating a Communist state in the end. History shows that to be an undeniable fact, unless your  unionized history teacher is a Socialist Workers Party USA member wearing a Che T-shirt in class. In that case you need to go straight home and inform your parents about what is going on, and demand that the situation be addressed immediately. American schools are for teaching our children true American and world history, and about the proven American exceptionalism that has made this the greatest, freest nation on earth for over 200 years. Leave the Socialist/Communist indoctrination out of our schools please.

Last but certainly not least, we see another revelation on the CPUSA’s homepage that should open the eyes of all Americans today:

Organizing for Jobs,Jobs,Jobs.  “The Great Recession of 2008 is looking more like the Great Depression of the 1930s. The economic crisis of U.S. (and world) capitalism is entering its fourth year.” (emphasis mine) next up they make the pitch that the only way to improve our economy is for the government to somehow create jobs. (Nanny-state enslavement 101 kids) ** Note: Nowhere in the United States Constitution is it stated that the government has the power to interfere in the private sector free market system or “create jobs” with taxpayer dollars. Funny thing about Communists, Marxists and Socialists: they all believe in radical change/overthrow of governments to mold society to fit their Utopian ideology. That means ignoring our constitution or eventually abolishing it all together eventually. President Obama wants another half a billion tax payer dollars to supposedly create jobs. The CPUSA wants you to know that they support his plan.

“Two weeks ago President Obama introduced the American Jobs Act to a joint session of Congress. It is sure to meet stiff resistance from the Republicans in Congress. A massive outcry of millions of American people insisting on the Act’s passage is necessary.” (emphasis mine)

In that last statement we see the communist Party USA parroting the exact same thing Barack Obama has been telling people across the nation in dozens of speeches. Coincidence? Not hardly. CPUSA takes it one step further in mentioning other Obama political-operative groups, such as the AFL-CIO and moveon.org:

“America Wants to Work (AFL-CIO) in alliance with many community and activist organizations including Moveon.org are organizing a week of actions Oct. 10-16 demanding jobs. Thousands of grassroots actions, marches, vigils, delegations and speak-outs are being planned in cities and neighborhoods across the country.”

Isn’t there already a group of wanna-be Socialists posing as a grassroots movement, protesting against capitalism and Wall Street bankers? Oh yes that would be the astro-turfing Occupy Wall Street protesters we see today. Further proof of the indoctrination of our youth by Union ( Socialist Workers party) teacherscanalso be found in this announcement at CPUSA: “A national National Teach-in called Students and Youth Rising for Jobs and Economic Justice will take place Oct. 12.” Isn’t that a hell of a coincidence there?

Communist Party USA —>  Occupy Wall Street —-> AFL-CIO —> Barack Obama’s very own moveon.org, all working together for the common cause of getting out and organizing for the passage of Obama’s jobs bill while protesting evil capitalism !   What a lovely team.   2012 just can’t get here soon enough!

Special update just for the annonynous pest trying to propagandize our comment section here at CDN:  Since DAY1  in New York look who has been behind the OWS protests! Thank you Andrew Breitbart.   Meet the career anarchist posing as a New-Yorker who is actually from Texas.
