A Friend of the Tea Party. Really?

“…Americans for Tax Reform, its leader is Grover Norquist. The more popular name…is the Tea Party.”

Grover Norquist’s name surfaced recently in a publicized discussion about Islamic Jihadists that have taken root in America. No, he isn’t a Tea Party activist but apparently he’s identifying his 1985-founded ATR group with them and some Tea Parties are falling for it. The quote refers to the pair as a “Trojan Horse.” [Excerpted from The Washington Times, September 29, 2012]

I suggest Grover Norquist is the only Trojan Horse and if anyone’s been ‘Trojan Horsed’ it’s been the Tea Party.

Main stream media cites Norquist as “a conservative lobbyist and activist…responsible more than anyone else for rewriting the dogma of the Republican Party.” Norquist has attributed his successes to Ronald Reagan and whatever similarities Norquists sees there must’ve been left at that door a long time ago.

Norquist’s subsequent and by now renown “Wednesday meetings” at ATR are said to be the “Grand Central station of the conservative movement,” a “must-attend event” for Conservatives who receive an invitation. Operative words being ‘who receive an invitation.’ Reportedly some Tea Parties have and do. Norquist being the successful mind to which so many extend accolades, obviously his ‘invitations’ to the Tea Party are not by happenstance.

The discussion’s records are convincingly well-documented. Its practical facts drew a very scary picture of radical Islamists that few Americans have taken time to recognize; and, particularly, of Grover Norquist and his ATR. These conclusions are drawn from those records and my independent research of them.

Until the early 1990s Norquist seemed to be on the right track and that’s what pole-vaulted him into the powerful acclaims of Conservative standing that he enjoys today. In 1993 Norquist used those successes through ATR to launch “Wednesday meetings.” That’s about when Norquist appears to start wielding power in less than desirable directions.

Indications of Norquist’s fall from the graces of ideological good can be noted by his involvement in the Jack Abramoff Indian lobbying scandal. Today a number of Republican Congressmen, rightly so in my opinion, take other serious exceptions to the distasteful nature of Norquist’s political maneuverings.

Norquist’s Libertarian response to Republican concerns more closely mimicked Democrat demagoguing of self-interest than those of a respectable Conservative. Using the powerful influence and resources that, ironically, Conservatives bestowed on him, Norquist has threatened their Left media character-assassinations if he doesn’t get his way. Politics makes strange bedfellows.

In the 1990s Democrats and the Clinton-Gore administration saw the Muslim community as sources of funds and votes. They began an outreach program through which Islamic Jihadists saw easy entrée into various aspects of American government and, more importantly, into one political Party. What Jihadists probably didn’t expect was easy access to Conservatives through confidences that someone like Grover Norquist could afford them.

Relying on Norquist‘s Conservative clout the ATR “Wednesday meetings” became a means of introducing Conservatives and ‘trusted’ Islam Influence Operators to one another. Perhaps not surprisingly by 1998 Norquist had joined with Adbulrahman Alamoudi, an Islamic-adherent operative, to found the Islamic Institute (II) aka the Islamic Free Market Institute Foundation. In that same year Alamoudi was reported announcing:

“If we are outside this country, we can say, ‘Oh, Allah, destroy America.’”

Dare we ask, what were you thinking Grover? This appears symptomatic of Grover Norquist’s 1990’s about face.

Alamoudi was Clinton-Gore’s liaison, serving as their Goodwill Ambassador to the Muslim community. He’d also worked as an Advisor for the Clinton administration’s Middle East process and was subsequently delegated a variety of highly sensitive duties. One of those duties was placing Muslims – who‘d received little to no vetting – in positions within the U.S. military.

In 2000 Alamoudi spoke in Lafayette Square, Washington D.C., at an anti-Israel event sponsored by none other than Norquist’s ‘Islamic Institute’ front (among others) and announced amid cheers of the spirited crowd:

Hear that, Bill Clinton, we are ALL supporters of Hamas, Allahu Akbar! I wish they added that I am also a supporter of Hizballah.”

Maybe Grover Norquist and his co-founder Alamoudi support Hamas & Hizballah Jihadists, but I doubt Americans looking to ATR for tax relief do. I’m confident the Tea Party doesn’t. I know I don’t.

Alamoudi came to be imprisoned on terrorism charges, admitting he gave $1-million to the Muslim Brotherhood’s Al Qeada. Alamoudi is connected with and/or directly assisted in developing a variety of other Jihadist  Influence Operations in America, see ‘short list’ at the end of this article.

It’s a given and perhaps wrongly so that the American People understand just what a critically serious threat the Muslim Brotherhood is to America. Sometimes I wonder given the absence of outcries against Muslim Brotherhood’s highly irregular number of visits to our White House during this administration.

The Trojan Horse is unloading. This ‘unloading’ period does have an expiration date. What then, if we do not give this necessary attentions now?

Norquist’s cofounder buddy, Alamoudi, created a particularly effective Muslim Brotherhood organization in 1990: The American Muslim Council (AMC) headquartered in Chicago. All 911 terrorists were reported members of the AMC with one of its groups cited as “the violent Wahhabi branch of Islam.” AMC spins-off into a variety of affiliations as all Muslim organizations seem to do.

For every new Jihadist lead recruit they appear to create another organization to fund him; and the same for their lead recruits and so on. They’ve implanted Sharia-adherent law firms and bank and financing arms. The pot of money thus radical Sharia-adherent influence spawned by these groups keeps compounding itself and all of the money goes to the workings of more infiltrating Jihadists. One can only speculate how much money comes from one form or another of the billions of dollars in Taxpayer funded “foreign aid.”

Reportedly in 2001 Norquist’s Alamoudi co-founder participated with 400 other top Jihadists in an International Terrorists’ strategy session in Beruit. According to Fox News:

“This meeting brought together the world’s most extreme Islamic terrorist groups to set aside their differences and unite for Jihad and against Israel and the United States.”

This hasn’t scratched the surface of Norquist & Alamoudi’s radical Islam connections and handiwork. Any Conservative worth their salt is cautioned about connecting themselves – or their Tea Party – with Grover Norquist and his ATR.

The only way to kill a cancer is to starve it. Watch activities in your area and government’s foreign aid spending; contact your Congressmen with your voices; and be sure – wherever you’re donating – your money doesn’t go to the wrong place for what you only think are the right reasons.

This is a short list of Norquist’s associations through his Alamoudi co-founder. The last is Suhail Khan, a comprehensive background to be separtely addressed. Look them up and be willing to read past initial link displays of innocent nursery rhyme propaganda that this administration has spent the last four years rewriting. All of these are said to have direct affiliation with radical Islamic-adherent Jihadists aka the Muslim Brotherhood.

Political Speak Got You Confused? Don’t Worry, Here’s Your Translation Guide

The Associated Press has compiled a dictionary, of sorts, to help you understand all the words, phrases, and other jargon that is used during the election season.

With such extreme focus on so many races this election cycle – from the White House down to state-level races – readers can use this, not only as a dictionary, but as a reference to better understand the lingo that has become second nature to so many journalists.

 

  • Democratic nominees – President Barack Obama, or Obama or the president. Obama will accept the nomination for a second term at the Sept. 4-6 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.  Vice President Joe Biden, or Biden or the vice president, will be the Democratic nominee for the same office as Obama’s running mate.
  • Republican nominee – Mitt Romney, former governor of Massachusetts, will become the Republican Party nominee when his delegates’ votes are tallied at the Republican National Convention Aug. 27-30 in Tampa, Fla. Paul Ryan, a Wisconsin congressman, is Romney’s vice presidential running mate.
  • presidency, presidential – The terms are lowercase, except in a title: Commission on Presidential Debates.
  • House and Senate – At stake are all 435 House seats from all 50 states, currently with a 240-191 Republican majority. In the 100-seat Senate, 33 seats are being contested. Democrats currently hold a 51-47 majority, plus two independents. In the House, seats held by nonvoting delegates from the District of Columbia and other U.S. territories are also at stake.
  • Congress, congressional – Capitalize when referring the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives together. The adjective is lowercase unless part of a formal name.
  • congressman, congresswoman – Not formal titles, spelled lowercase. Rep. is the preferred title before the name of a U.S. House member: Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.
  • majority leader, minority leader – Capitalize as formal legislative title before a name: House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, otherwise lowercase.

ELECTION TERMINOLOGY, ISSUES 

  • battleground states – Hotly contested states where one or both campaigns are spending money and polls show the electorate is split.
  • swing states – States where voters have vacillated between Republican and Democrat candidates in the last three or four presidential elections.
  • close race – Don’t describe a political race as close unless polls show it is and you reference polls.
  • conservative – Lowercase for a political philosophy, capitalize in a formal name: the Conservative Party.
  • convention – Lowercase except in formal name: the Democratic convention, the Democratic National Convention.
  • Democrat, Democratic Party – Both are capitalized. Don’t use Democrat Party.
  • the economy – Weak U.S. growth, the U.S. unemployment rate topping 8 percent and tax policies are the key issues.
  • Election Day, election night – The first is capitalized, the second is lowercase. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.
  • “fair shot,” “fair share” – Obama’s belief that the government has a role in creating conditions for prosperity, that the income gap is hazardous to the nation. His belief is that a stable middle class gives everyone a fair chance to succeed. The terms are in quotes on first reference.
  • first lady – Not an official title, spelled lowercase (except when starting a sentence: First lady … )
  • fundraiser, fundraising – Single words in all uses.
  • front-runner – Candidate who leads a political race; the term is hyphenated.
  • leftist, ultra-leftist – Avoid these terms in favor of more precise descriptions of political leanings.
  • liberal, liberalism – Lowercase for a political philosophy. Capitalize in a formal name: the Liberal Party.
  • majority, plurality – A majority is more than half the votes cast; a plurality is the largest number of votes, but less than a majority.
  • middle class (n.), middle-class (adj.) – Key voting group encompassing about 42 percent of U.S. households with incomes ranging from $25,000 to $75,000 annually, according to White House Council of Economic Advisers.
  • money bomb – A rush of small political contributions collected via the Internet. In quotes on first reference.
  • “Obamacare” – Informal term for the Affordable Care Act. Often used derisively by Republicans, so avoid it unless quoting someone. If the term is essential, say something like “also known as ‘Obamacare,’ ” with quotes around the word.
  • “opportunity society” – Used by Romney to describe a society in which people and businesses succeed based on merit and free enterprise, not government doling out benefits. Reducing the size of federal government is essential, he says. In quotes on first reference.
  • PAC, super PAC – Political action committee raises money for candidates or parties from donations by individuals, but not businesses or labor unions. A super PAC may raise and spend unlimited amounts of money, including from corporations and unions, to support candidates for federal office but must operate independently.
  • political affiliation – The party of a candidate or officeholder is essential in any election or issue story.
  • policymaker, policymaking – Both are compounds.
  • polls and surveys – Consult the detailed entry in the AP Stylebook — print and online — on how to use results of public opinion surveys and avoid exaggerating the meaning.
  • populist – Supports the rights and power of the common people; advocates unorthodox solutions; often critical of establishment politicians and political parties.
  • presidential debates – Three national TV debates between Obama and Romney are scheduled Oct.  3, 16 and 22.
  • press secretary – Seldom a formal title and thus lowercase.
  • re-elect, re-election – Both are hyphenated.
  • Republican, Republican Party – Both terms are capitalized. GOP (Grand Old Party) may be used on second reference.
  • rightist, ultra-rightist – Avoid these terms in favor of more precise descriptions of political leanings.
  • small parties – Groups that often form around an issue, such as taxation, or support outsider candidates.  Also known as third parties, splinter parties.
  • tea party – Lowercase the populist movement that opposes the Washington political establishment. Adherents are tea partyers. Formally named groups in the movement are capitalized: Tea Party Express.

CLICHES AND ALTERNATIVES

  • ahead of – before
  • rainbow colors –  avoid  red, blue or purple for the political leanings of states. Use Democratic-leaning, Republican-tilting or swing-voting, etc.
  • barnstormed –  traveled across a state campaigning or campaigned across XYZ.
  • hand-to-hand campaigning – seeking support in face-to-face meetings with voters.
  • hat in the ring – a candidate decided to run for an office.
  • horse race – closely contested political contest.
  • laundry list – the candidate has ideas, proposals, etc.
  • messaging – the candidate’s pitch to voters.
  • pressing the flesh – shaking hands is preferred.
  • rope line – the physical barrier that separates a candidate from the audience. Instead, the candidate shook hands and posed for photographs with the audience.
  • state nicknames – avoid them in favor of the state name.
  • stump speech – campaign speech at a routine appearance (or standard or regular campaign speech)
  • testing the waters – considered entering the race or considered running for XYZ.
  • took his/her campaign to – specify what the candidate did.
  • veepstakes – the competition to be a candidate’s running mate.
  • war lingo - use criticized instead of attacked, or choose a better verb to describe what the candidate is doing, i.e., challenging, doubting, etc. Also avoidable: launch an assault, take aim, open fire, bombard.
  • war chest – use campaign bank account or stockpile of money.
  • white paper – a document of policy positions distributed by a campaign.

ESSENTIAL INGREDIENTS

  • National context to show the significance.
  • Sense of place. Atmosphere illustrates why people in any locale vote as they do.
  • Quotes from voters. Comments from named individuals help gauge voter sentiment.
  • Rely on polls sparingly. Determine whether an opinion survey is reliable before including it.

 

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Lately, the phrase “Chose your neighbors wisely.” has become increasingly important.  For years, the significance as to what the government was doing, or how the government was growing, was a distant thought in my mind because my life itself was so busy and all consuming.  Like many people  I guess I had the mindset that our government was meant to protect us, and deal with all the cumbersome issues pertaining to our country.  I mean, honestly, how many of us sit there and read the bills and amendments and so on?   How many of us even truly understand the Constitution and the Republic we live in dispite the fact we take it for granite daily?

I realize now,  that most of us unknowingly sat idle, unaware, or preoccupied with our daily lives while the movement toward big government, economic downfall, and total government control grew out of proportion.  Its members blind-sighted us as they began to dismantle our Constitution from right underneath our feet.  Most recently, with the issue of gun control I have heard many people say, “I don’t like guns and I don’t own one anyway, so who cares?”  Clearly, the lack of knowledge pertaining to our Constitution would lead to that mindset.   It make sense to me why the liberal government controlled media, here in the U.S., chooses to portray people like Ron Paul as to far to the right, when in fact, he is one of a limited few who have a clear understanding of what is actually happening today in this United States of America.  Now realize this is not an endorsement for any one person or party, but rather an a wake-up call which will hopefully spark something in all American’s so they do some research, question, and find answers, as opposed to being “told” what they want to hear from either side.  It is truly a time in America to take the blinders off, and see for yourself what is going on with this government and our government in general for decades. Go out on a limb and see the movie 2016: Obama’s America. Learn about the author, read the Constitution, find out what all the talk is truly about, get involved in some way, most importantly teach your children.

I think for most American’s everything is black and white.  Rarely to they visit the shades of gray that make the mind ponder and question, for if they did, it would lead them to  research, learn about the issues, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as set forth by our forefathers. Rather, living in the black and white allows people to be led, misinformed, and it keeps them from visiting the elusive areas where the grays would eventually take them. That is precisely how we got where we are today, and why so many people are preoccupied with a sanctity they don’t even realize is disappearing before their very eyes.

The idea behind, “chose your neighbor wisely” was in an article I read recently.  While reading and doing further research I suddenly felt the sense of urgency behind that statement, and I knew precisely what it meant.  As our country proceeds in a direction of lost ideals and shattered fundamental beliefs, I have come to  realized my own importance not just as a writer or journalist, but as Oath Keeper sworn to protect the country and our Constitution and all it stands for.  We are all Watchmen in our right, but how many of you are seeing and truly understanding what the truth is, and are able to visulize the direction this Republic is moving?  How many even realize we, the United States of America, is not a Democracy it is a REPUBLIC ? How many people believe the fears that exist are just Republican’s using scare tactics?   How many Americans’ truly understand and see that the freedom they love,  cherish, and take for granite is gradually disappearing while government grows and its power becomes all inclusive?  The intrusiveness of our government, in our daily lives, represents the complete opposite of  the Constitution of the United States of American as well as the freedoms you think you have.

Don’t you feel as though you owe it it your kids and your grand-kids to seek out and find the facts on your own?  Isn’t it time to stop dismissing everything as some right wing radical ranting and raving, for lack of anything better to do?  Ask yourself if you sincerely believe government should control what you think, what you eat, learn, and speak?  Should they really be taking away rights set forth in the Constitution, but more importantly why are so actively pursuing these things in the first place?  Keep in mind these people running our country were put there by us, they are the same as us, so why are they getting richer, more controlling, and invading the lives of American’s?  Why is so important to them to create division in this country? Why?  What would motivate them to do this?  Why is government in education, banking, auto industry, or business anyway?  What is the motivation of this administration to destroy our economy, but more importantly what happens when they succeed?  Just trying to find answers to these questions, independent from the media, right, left, whom-ever will be an eye-opening experience — I guarantee it.

 

 

Why The GOP Shouldn’t Ignore Libertarians

Both Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham made salient points this week by telling Republicans they needed to “shut down” if President Barack Obama is re-elected. The comments show a problem Republicans have had in convincing the Tea Party to support Mitt Romney.

It also shows the Republican Party has failed to listen to what has long been considered their conscience: libertarians.

What people have forgotten is the rise of the Tea Party wasn’t just a rebellion against the increased spending in late 2008, early 2009. The origins of the Tea Party can be traced all the way back to several of President George W. Bush’s decisions, including the Patriot Act, the Department of Homeland Security and the government’s response to Hurricane Katrina.

This series of responses started shaking people, waking them up from their long slumber. They realized the U.S. was running into major problems, the government was expanding too quickly and things needed to be cut. The Tea Party rallies, and the candidates which followed, were proof people were starting to pay attention and getting active. Libertarians were starting to be heard.

But what’s happened since then?

Certainly, the libertarian caucus in US Senate has grown from South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint. It now includes Rand Paul, Pat Toomey, Mike Lee and Ron Johnson. Hopefully, reinforcements are coming with the possible election of Ted Cruz, Connie Mack IV, Richard Mourdock and Jeff Flake. But that’s only nine out of 100 senators.

The House looks no better, with Michigan Congressman Justin Amash replacing Ron Paul as probably the most libertarian member. South Carolina Republican Trey Gowdy should also get praise for fighting for reigned in spending and cutting the government. Arizona Congressman Trent Franks has been considered libertarian at times, but that’s only three out of 435. Plenty of Republicans pay lip service to libertarian ideals (see: House Speaker John Boehner and, to a lesser extent, Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan) but don’t follow through.

The fact is Republicans need to listen to libertarians, especially in terms of government growth and the budget. The party which claims to be for “limited government,” allowed massive expanses during the Bush Administration. The original stimulus package may have been avoided if Congress had waited.

To be fair, libertarians have to take blame as well. The rise of social conservatism may have been held back a bit if libertarians did a better job at pointing out why some social policies are best left to states. There’s a reason why the Libertarian Party is known more for wanting to end the War on Drugs, instead of reduced spending, smaller government and more freedom. Organization and activism have also been major problems the Libertarian Party has failed to solve. This could be the reason why there are libertarians considering a vote for Mitt Romney, instead of Gary Johnson.

Ultimately, it may not be in the best interests of libertarians to leave the GOP. It’s possible libertarians will have to suck it up and keep trying to convince party leaders, elected officials and local activists why they’re right. Certainly the Koch brothers believe this and Rand Paul as well. For this to work, conservatives will have to be willing to listen and both sides will have to reach a consensus. It does nothing for Republicans to simply brush off libertarian concerns as a fringe element, or “hobbits,” but to ultimately sit down, look at what’s being said and move forward. There really are libertarians out there who want Republicans to succeed.

The solutions may be slightly different, but it should be a lot easier for conservatives and libertarians to come to an agreement. Certainly a lot easier than conservatives and liberals.

But if Republicans lose in November, what then? Will the party start listening to libertarians or blame them for their own failure? If it’s the former, things may turn out okay. If it’s the latter…the Republican Party may be doomed.

 

No Democrats, We Don’t Belong To The Government

Democrats have shown just how far off the sanity cliff they’ve gone in their video to open the Democratic National Convention.

Just to repeat, the narrator says, “Government is the only thing that we all belong to…we’re together as a part of our city, or our county or our state. Or our nation.”

There’s no spinning this. It’s worse than, “you didn’t build that.”

By saying, “government is the only thing that we all belong to,” Democrats are going beyond liberalism. They are taking their platform to corporatism.

Phrases like “we’re all in this together” may seem like they were meant to look good on paper and to voters. But combining it with the phrase, “government is the only thing that we all belong to,” goes into statements someone like Mussolini or Hitler or Lenin might make.

In fact, based on their praise of The New Deal, it’s possible they might even rise from their graves and cheer the DNC’s video.

According to Wolfgang Schivelbusch’s book “Three New Deals,” both German and Italian newspapers loved the tone President Franklin Delano Roosevelt used in the 1930s. One German newspaper said Roosevelt’s speech demanded “collective good be put before self-interest.” Schivelbusch also discusses how Hitler saw Roosevelt’s ability to discuss self-sacrifice and duty as something which were “quintessential” to how Nazi Germany did things.

Isn’t what the Democrats of today are discussing something similar? Hasn’t the tone taken by the President echoed this line of thinking? When Obama tweets how donors “own a piece of this campaign,” or tells an union group, “think about everybody who depends on you,” it’s simply corporatism.

It’s making people think they’re no longer individuals but part of a group that operates as a whole.

Obama is banking people will want to be in the middle class. Be part of that amazing group of people who just have enough to live and save, but not enough to be in the upper class. By shuffling everyone into that group it makes him look like a benevolent leader who’s looking out for their interests.

The greatness of America and the states we live in, is that we’re individuals. We can take whatever job we want, live whatever life we want and if someone wants to make $20-thousand, $200-thousand or $2-million it doesn’t matter. Or as Clint Eastwood put it last week, “politicians are employees of ours!”

Saying “government is the only thing that we all belong to,” is dangerous and wrong. It shows how far Democrats, not Republicans, have gone in their ideology.

It’s not what America was created to be. And certainly not what it should become.

The Top Ten Reasons Paul Ryan is So Despicable!

Much has been said in the media about how Paul Ryan is an “extremist”, how he plans to “destroy” the lives of everyday people, especially the elderly.  A lot has being written about how his fiscal positions make him hostile to middle class Americans.  After extensive, intensive, investigative research there is now a Top Ten List to explain Ryan’s “unlike-ability.”

1. His economic plan will benefit the private sector economy by reducing big government spending and eliminating unnecessary regulations. If only he would slow job growth, cripple the economy and inflict further damage on the private sector by hiking taxes and continuing trillion dollars a year deficit spending.  Finally there would be a plan with which “progressives” could “compromise”.

2. He has a plan to reform and save Medicare. He will secure the future of Medicare with volunteer vouchers for future retirees, thus preserving the Medicare guarantee for current seniors by preventing the bankruptcy of the Medicare system. If only he would put the entire Medicare system at risk by sticking his head in the sand and pretending that maintaining the insolvent status quo is perfectly fine. Then maybe the White House, the DNC and the mainstream media would celebrate him as a hero of the common man.

3. The Ryan jobs plan will invite investments by lowering of the highest corporate tax rates in the world.  His plan to cut those tax rates will stimulate the creation of middle class jobs, enhance and preserve private wealth and reduce deficits by increasing revenues to the IRS.  If only he would raise taxes on rich.  Then America would be more like Europe, causing insulated “progressive” “elites” in academia and the media to rejoice.  Heck, maybe even Sean Penn would join him on the campaign trail.

4. He’s a pro-life candidate who believes that “in every life there is goodness; for every person, there is hope.”  If Ryan would just come to his senses and support government funding the systematic slaughter of millions of innocent, unborn babies the largely post-menopausal National Organization of Women would celebrate his “choice”.

5. He will reform Social Security and put it on firmer fiscal ground by ending the current bankrupt Ponzi scheme system and providing future generations the option of controlling their own retirement money.  If only he would agree to big government bureaucrats and me-first career politicians remaining in charge of the money, then they could continue to spend it wildly and stuff more IOUs into the Social Security “lock-box”.  After all, the money really belongs to the big government sophisticates.  Americans are lucky they deem to allow taxpayers to keep any of it.  You did not earn it, they did.

6. He will reduce Pell Grants that have been greatly expanded under the current administration.  His proposal calls for reducing Pell Grant spending to pre-stimulus levels.  His plan will help curb tuition inflation and ensure the aid reaches the truly needy.  If he was only willing to continue the government’s sole proprietorship over college loans, then college students would remain beholding to Big Brother and the Nanny State.

7. His budget retains $40 billion in tax deductions for energy producers, thereby ensuring that they remain capable of researching, developing and delivering affordable energy to all Americans.  If only he would continue using taxpayer dollars to investment in impractical, inefficient “alternative” fuels and “green” energy technologies.  Then the government could continue to redistribute billions to the pockets of big “progressive” campaign bundlers and America could continue to burn corn in internal combustion engines instead of feeding its people.

8. He supports the private sector economy. Not surprisingly, the Koch brothers support Ryan with political contributions.  Too bad he refuses to side with “progressives” in pushing for the growth of big government, the destruction of free enterprise and the elimination of national sovereignty.  Then he could reap huge financial rewards from ner do well George Soros and his ill-gotten billions.  Even if Ryan lost his government job, Uncle George would be sure to find a place in one of the hundreds of anti-American foundations he supports for someone dedicated to the “progressive” overthrow of America.  Just ask Van Jones.

9. He supports traditional marriage. If Ryan would just support adoption by gay couples, same-sex marriage, and repealing “don’t ask, don’t tell.”  Then his positions would align with the demands of a tiny fringe minority.  Movie and television scripts would be written singing his praises.  Perhaps even Alec Baldwin would play the starring role.

10. He believes in private property rights and that entrepreneurs built their own businesses.  Ryan ascribes to Ayn Rand’s philosophy of individual success.  If only he would get on board with collectivist thought and support “from each according to his ability, to each according to his need”.  Then his election campaign would garner huge support from “progressive” activists and Communists backed labor unions.  Perhaps they would resurrect ACORN to ensure enough dead people, family pets or felons voted to clinch his election.  Then he and Al Franken could have a laugh swapping stories about the naïveté of the voting proletariat.

Paul Ryan’s background, experience and trustworthiness demonstrate that he is a proven leader and a fine citizen who is ideally qualified to become Vice President of the United States.  America knows where he was born, that he will support small businesses and private enterprise, understands the threat posed to America’s unreformed “entitlement” programs, and will not redistribute taxpayer’s money to fringe radical self-separating hyphenated identity victim groups.

America will not like taking some of the steps necessary to recover from a mountain of debt, but someone with Ryan’s extensive knowledge of the issues, experience in how Congress works and exceptional, American bred humility knows how to accomplish the task.

Romney, Ryan, Republicans: Ready to Lead

With the strong backing of an energized Republican Party and a diverse team of rising stars, candidate Mitt Romney formally accepted the GOP nomination to be President of the United States.

Recalling the excitement and optimism of the presidential race of four years ago, Romney pointed out how those elevated expectations and the bevy of promises that came with those expectations have led to disappointment over opportunities lost:

“Every family in America wanted this to be a time when they could get ahead a little more, put aside a little more for college, do more for their elderly mom who’s living alone now or give a little more to their church or charity.

Every small business wanted these to be their best years ever, when they could hire more, do more for those who had stuck with them through the hard times, open a new store or sponsor that Little League team.

Every new college graduate thought they’d have a good job by now, a place of their own, and that they could start paying back some of their loans and build for the future.

This is when our nation was supposed to start paying down the national debt and rolling back those massive deficits.  This was the hope and change America voted for.  It’s not just what we wanted. It’s not just what we expected.

It’s what Americans deserved.”

Romney shared the pain and hardship everyday Americans have felt over the past four years as the result of the current administration’s failed economic policies:

“You deserved it because during these years, you worked harder than ever before. You deserved it because when it cost more to fill up your car, you cut out movie nights and put in longer hours. Or when you lost that job that paid $22.50 an hour with benefits, you took two jobs at 9 bucks an hour and fewer benefits. You did it because your family depended on you. You did it because you’re an American and you don’t quit. You did it because it was what you had to do.

But driving home late from that second job, or standing there watching the gas pump hit 50 dollars and still going, when the realtor told you that to sell your house you’d have to take a big loss, in those moments you knew that this just wasn’t right.”

He then pointed to the morning light peeking over the horizon by reminding Americans “Now is the moment when we can stand up and say, ‘I’m an American. I make my destiny. And we deserve better! My children deserve better! My family deserves better. My country deserves better!’”

Romney then went on a brief autobiographical journey.  He reminded Americans who know him, and revealed to those who do not, that his life has been a familiar American story.  The son of immigrants, whose parents worked hard to give him opportunities they never had.  By example they taught him the value of hard work and enterprise, and the meaning of love.   He met the love of his life, and with her raised a happy, loving family of their own.  He summed up by saying “And that’s how it is in America. We look to our communities, our faiths, our families for our joy, our support, in good times and bad. It is both how we live our lives and why we live our lives. The strength and power and goodness of America has always been based on the strength and power and goodness of our communities, our families, our faiths.”

Next, he outlined the story of his business career, where struggles to launch Bain Capital were rewarded by success: “That business we started with 10 people has now grown into a great American success story. Some of the companies we helped start are names you know. An office supply company called Staples – where I’m pleased to see the Obama campaign has been shopping; The Sports Authority, which became a favorite of my sons. We started an early childhood learning center called Bright Horizons that First Lady Michelle Obama rightly praised. At a time when nobody thought we’d ever see a new steel mill built in America, we took a chance and built one in a corn field in Indiana. Today Steel Dynamics is one of the largest steel producers in the United States.”

Romney chose that moment to remind Americans that attacking success is “the centerpiece of the President’s entire re-election campaign… Is it any wonder that someone who attacks success has led the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression?  In America, we celebrate success, we don’t apologize for it.”

He then reminded voters “That is why every president since the Great Depression who came before the American people asking for a second term could look back at the last four years and say with satisfaction: “you are better off today than you were four years ago.”  Except Jimmy Carter.  And except this president.”

Mitt Romney understands that for America to work and for Americans to succeed, they need jobs.  “Lots of jobs,” and how the current administration’s policies “…have not helped create jobs, they have depressed them.”

Romney put American voters on fair notice when he warned them:

“To the majority of Americans who now believe that the future will not be better than the past, I can guarantee you this: if Barack Obama is re-elected, you will be right.”

Romney then outlined his five point plan to revitalize the American economy:

“First, by 2020, North America will be energy independent by taking full advantage of our oil and coal and gas and nuclear and renewables.

Second, we will give our fellow citizens the skills they need for the jobs of today and the careers of tomorrow. When it comes to the school your child will attend, every parent should have a choice, and every child should have a chance.

Third, we will make trade work for America by forging new trade agreements. And when nations cheat in trade, there will be unmistakable consequences.

Fourth, to assure every entrepreneur and every job creator that their investments in America will not vanish as have those in Greece, we will cut the deficit and put America on track to a balanced budget.

And fifth, we will champion SMALL businesses, America’s engine of job growth. That means reducing taxes on business, not raising them. It means simplifying and modernizing the regulations that hurt small business the most. And it means that we must rein in the skyrocketing cost of healthcare by repealing and replacing Obamacare.”

On foreign policy, Romney criticized the current administration for their failure to slow Iran’s nuclear threat, for how they have disrespected allies like Israel and Poland, and sought to appease Russia.  He assured Americans that “Under my administration, our friends will see more loyalty, and Mr. Putin will see a little less flexibility and more backbone.”

Romney concluded his speech before a cheering crowd and to a standing ovation:

“The America we all know has been a story of the many becoming one, uniting to preserve liberty, uniting to build the greatest economy in the world, uniting to save the world from unspeakable darkness.

Everywhere I go in America, there are monuments that list those who have given their lives for America. There is no mention of their race, their party affiliation, or what they did for a living. They lived and died under a single flag, fighting for a single purpose. They pledged allegiance to the UNITED States of America.

That America, that united America, can unleash an economy that will put Americans back to work, that will once again lead the world with innovation and productivity, and that will restore every father and mother’s confidence that their children’s future is brighter even than the past.

That America, that united America, will preserve a military that is so strong, no nation would ever dare to test it.

That America, that united America, will uphold the constellation of rights that were endowed by our Creator, and codified in our Constitution.

That united America will care for the poor and the sick, will honor and respect the elderly, and will give a helping hand to those in need.

That America is the best within each of us. That America we want for our children.

If I am elected President of these United States, I will work with all my energy and soul to restore that America, to lift our eyes to a better future. That future is our destiny. That future is out there. It is waiting for us. Our children deserve it, our nation depends upon it, the peace and freedom of the world require it. And with your help we will deliver it. Let us begin that future together tonight.”

With a strong supporting cast, with an energized Republican Party and a diverse team of rising stars behind him, Mitt Romney demonstrated why on January 20, 2013 he is the man best prepared to sit in the Oval Office.

Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and Republicans are ready to lead.  It is time for the current administration and their “progressive” allies to either follow or get out of the way.

Paul Ryan: The Right Man in the Right Place at the Right Time

Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, the newly nominated GOP candidate for Vice President of the United States, is the right man in the right place, at the right time.

He understands that his duty as Vice President will be the calling of his generation to preserve for his children and their children the America that was given to his generation.

He acknowledges that the current administration came into office during an economic crisis.  He also realizes that today 23 million men and women are unemployed or underemployed.  He sees one in six Americans living in poverty.  He understands that millions of young college graduates cannot find work and have been forced to move back in with their parents.

He sees that without a change in leadership in the White House the next four years will be just more of the same.

As a Congressman, he has been a front row witness to the wasteful Stimulus spending, the catastrophic government takeover of health care, and the robbing of seven hundred and sixteen billion dollars from Medicare to fill the financial void left in the healthcare law despite all the law’s hidden taxes.

Ryan vowed that “Medicare is a promise, and we will honor it. A Romney-Ryan administration will protect and strengthen Medicare, for my Mom’s generation, for my generation, and for my kids and yours.”

As Ryan stated midway through his nomination acceptance speech: “So our opponents can consider themselves on notice. In this election, on this issue, the usual posturing on the Left isn’t going to work. Mitt Romney and I know the difference between protecting a program, and raiding it. Ladies and gentlemen, our nation needs this debate. We want this debate. We will win this debate.”

Ryan pledged that he and Presidential nominee Mitt Romney “will get America creating wealth again. With tax fairness and regulatory reform, we’ll put government back on the side of the men and women who create jobs, and the men and women who need jobs.”

He confirmed that if elected, the GOP ticket has a goal to “generate 12 million new jobs over the next four years,” and “keep federal spending at 20 percent of GDP, or less.”

On foreign policy, Ryan stated that “a Romney-Ryan administration will speak with confidence and clarity. Wherever men and women rise up for their own freedom, they will know that the American president is on their side.”

In a rousing, crowd pleasing close, Ryan gave the following assurance:

“We will not duck the tough issues, we will lead.  We will not spend four years blaming others, we will take responsibility.  We will not try to replace our founding principles, we will reapply our founding principles.

The work ahead will be hard. These times demand the best of us – all of us, but we can do this. Together, we can do this.  We can get this country working again. We can get this economy growing again. We can make the safety net safe again. We can do this.  Whatever your political party, let’s come together for the sake of our country. Join Mitt Romney and me. Let’s give this effort everything we have. Let’s see this through all the way. Let’s get this done.”

Ryan’s speech was vintage Paul Ryan, calm, fact filled, plain spoken and direct.

White House to Blame for High Gas Prices

With Hurricane Isaac’s slamming the American gulf coast putting a temporary halt to oil production and refinery output, consumers can expect to see higher prices at the pump.

Just in time for the Labor Day holiday.

Before Hurricane Isaac came along, gasoline costs were at an almost four month high.  The nationwide average rose to $3.75 a gallon on Aug. 26.  “We expect the national average price of gasoline for Labor Day this year to be the highest ever for the holiday,” said Michael Green, a spokesman for AAA.  Drivers could be paying $4 a gallon by the end of September.

Oct. 3 is the date of the first presidential debate.

The timing could not be better for GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney or worse for the White House and its hopes for re-election.

By any measure, the administration should be on the defensive over escalating gasoline costs and the hardship higher pump prices will cause average American families.  The White House has been consistently hostile towards traditional fuel industries, and has persistently sought to curtail exploration, development and production capacity since 2009.

The current administration has actively sought to discourage drilling on federal land.  Since the 2010 BP gulf oil spill it has gone out of its way to stifle offshore exploration.  The EPA has made it a regular course of business to impose costly regulations on the development of oil, natural gas and coal.

The White House has wasted hundreds and hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars subsidizing non-competitive technologies.  Solyndra, a solar-panel manufacturer, received a $535 million U.S. loan guarantee, then filed bankruptcy and fired 1,100 workers.  There are many other such examples.

The predictable White House solution will be to release supplies from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.  This will be a typical response from the current administration:  Divest precious national resources in hopes of achieving the desired political result without solving the real problem or offering a viable solution.

Instead of effectively stimulating the American economy by assisting exploration, development and production of cheap, efficient energy, the White House is obsessed with squandering national treasure on inefficient, uncompetitive energy options that are incapable of surviving without a government backstop.

Odds are that the White House will blame it all on Hurricane Isaac…or on George W. Bush.

Close The Book Forever on the Failed “progressive” Experiment

The current White House occupant, in a calculated, targeted attack against Republican rival Mitt Romney, attempted to dismiss a key Romney rationale for his presidential candidacy by saying: “When you’re president, as opposed to the head of a private equity firm, then your job is not simply to maximize profits. Your job is to figure out how everybody in the country has a fair shot.”

It is quite obvious that occupy Oval Office is shockingly unfamiliar with the concept that jobs are downstream from profits, not the other way around. With the exception of the original staff, which is hired to launch a company via startup capital (notice that here too, private capital comes before hiring), businesses only become financially capable of hiring more workers after they have made profits. Being profitable gives them the capital needed to pay for expansion, which then creates the need to hire additional employees. This is especially true of small businesses, most of which are decidedly not over funded with start-up capital.

According to “progressives”, the rich are somehow preventing the middle class from having a fair shot because the rich are depriving the middle class by not paying “their fair share” of taxes. The “progressive” concept of the middle class having a fair shot is stealing money from those who have earned it through initiative, hard work, risk and sacrifice within the free market capitalist system through “progressive” taxation and use that money, acquired through legal extortion, to hire unionized government sector workers. Workers who will not only be paid more than their counterparts who are doing the same job in the private sector, but who will enjoy Cadillac healthcare and pension benefits provided to them by a taxpayer funded job from which, thanks to union demands, being fired will be a virtual impossibility.

Still wonder why “progressives” love government sector unions?

Such an arrangement is perfectly suited to “progressives”, who are huge proponents of centrally planned big government. Workers dependent upon government for their livelihood are reliably more likely to re-elect big government candidates. They are also far more likely to pay little concern to how much the rich are taxed, since the taxes of unionized government workers won’t be affected.  That is, if they’re even required to pay taxes. Their big government big brothers take care of them.

Of course, the “they don’t pay their fair share” rhetoric is a complete sham, a straw-man argument. Truth be known, the “they don’t pay their fair share” rhetoric is a bold faced lie. The top 10% earners in America pay 70% of the income taxes while 47% of Americans pay no income tax. They pay zero.

How much of a tax on the rich would be enough to satisfy “progressives”? How much of someone else’s money does the Oval Office need to take for the middle class to have “a fair shot”? The 100% rate Barrack Obama Sr. sought to impose on Kenya’s rich after he seized power?

Can you say redistributive dreams from my Marxist father?

This clearly demonstrates how clueless Barrack Hussein Obama is about the way America was designed by its Founding Fathers. Having a fair shot in America has never been about big government stealing from the rich to finance hiring unionized government sector workers.

Having a fair shot has always been about a constitutionally limited government not interfering with the private sector free market’s ability to afford equal opportunity to everyone, regardless of their starting point in life. In America, government’s job is not to “take care of us”. In America, a centrally planned big government can never replace the initiative, creativity, hard work, sacrifice, risk, and reward of free, private Citizens working to provide for their own needs through the pursuit of happiness within the private sector.

If it ever does, America will have ceased to exist.

Instead of digging the United States into an ever-deepening hole by reducing available free market capital through higher tax rates, how about creating some certainty for investors by making permanent changes to America’s needlessly complicated tax code? How about creating a simplified tax code that provides incentives for investment? How about creating a tax code that’s doesn’t punish small businesses by forcing them  each year to divert limited precious capital to pay the cost of hiring accountants and attorneys to decipher an ever “evolving”, increasingly complicated tax code? How about creating an economic environment where the rich, middle class and poor alike all feel it’s worth the risk to invest in a start-up business? Thanks to existing, unnecessarily high “progressive” tax rates and expanding, restrictive, needlessly expensive regulatory oppression, starting up a new business today is practically impossible.

Better still, how about “progressives” going back to school to learn what America is really all about? In the meantime, they should leave running America to Americans.

Obama has had four years.  He got his fair shot, and he blew it.

After 100 years of progressively expanding government intrusion into the God given Rights and Liberties of free people, it is now time to forever close the book on the failed “progressive” experiment.

America Needs the Tea Party More Than America Needs the GOP

Explaining his endorsement of the current White House occupant on the administration’s infrastructure spending, healthcare reform, and position on abortion, Florida’s former Republican Governor Charlie Crist endorsed him on the eve of the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa.

Crist has betrayed American taxpayers before.  He supported the $787 billion “stimulus” boondoggle, which did little to fund shovel ready infrastructure projects but went a long way towards rewarding big “progressive” 2008 presidential campaign bundlers who “just happened” to run “green energy” companies with lucrative loan guarantees and grants.  It also bailed out state and local governments guilty of practicing irresponsible fiscal policies for decades, especially where spending on government sector union contracts was concerned.  It was no accident that the lion’s share of “stimulus” spending “just happened” to have gone to “blue states”.   Crist’s decision to support the highly partisan, pork stuffed “stimulus” bill helped get the monstrous waste of money through Congress.

“Moderate Republican” go-along to get-along me-first career politicians who, like Crist are so willing to compromise with the institutionalized “progressive” left cannot be trusted.

Tea Party principles are America’s principles.  To an intolerable degree, “Moderate Republicans” do not believe in or follow Tea Party principles. Quite often they appear to be completely devoid of principles.  They game the political system to gain power and prestige for themselves and themselves alone. They will turn on Americans faster than you can say Specter.

Conservative Tea Party Americans like Allen West, Marco Rubio, Jim DeMint, Pat Toomy, Rand Paul, Ron Johnson Michele Bachmann, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee have the guts to stand against the institutionalized “progressive” left.  They have the willingness, backbone and fortitude to preserve individual liberties, restore the U.S. Constitution, and a return to constitutionally limited government, a balanced budget, equal opportunity and equal protection under the law for all Americans.

Today’s Democratic Party is not your father’s Democratic Party.  They keep insisting that Tea Party Republicans and their affiliates are “extreme”.  Since when are protecting individual liberties, following the U.S. Constitution, having constitutionally limited government and a balanced budget extreme?

The Tea Party’s positions are extreme only when seen as standing in the way of establishing an all-powerful, centrally planned big government controlled by a self-appointed oligarchy of self-imagined “intellectual elites” i.e. a Communist state.

The institutionalized “progressive” left in 2012 America is acting exactly like every other Communist power grab in history.  They lie, cheat and steal to win elections.  Then they will lie, cheat, steal and kill to consolidate and strengthen their grip on unrestrained power.

The institutionalized “progressive” left complains about how “extreme” Tea Party Republicans refuse to compromise.  The Tea Party knows that Communists have no interest in compromising with anyone.  The institutionalized “progressive” left’s negotiating position has been, is, and will continue to be: What’s Yours is Negotiable, What’s Mine is Not.  Those who hold this negotiating position, when they do finally obtain an iron grip on unrestrained power, do not compromise with their political opposition.  They eliminate them…permanently.

America is at an historic crossroads.  The 2012 election will determine what life in America will be like for the next and following generations.

Romney’s Media Fostered Distractions

For the umpteen zillionth time since the presumptive GOP nominee’s identity became apparent, the “progressive” Party Pravda and their occupy Oval Office idol are attempting to define GOP challenger Mitt Romney in an utterly disingenuous light.

In an article entitled “Romney Turns to Ohio Amidst Distractions” published by staunch “progressive” Pravda propagandists the Associated Press and Yahoo News, Phillip Elliot and Steve Peoples waste little time in asserting their misrepresentations.

The article goes negative three times in the first five paragraphs:

“…as the former Massachusetts governor tried to shrug off a series of unwanted distractions…

…as Republicans face difficult questions about the party’s position on abortion after a Missouri Senate candidate’s recent suggestion that women’s bodies can prevent pregnancy in cases of “legitimate rape.”

…It also comes less than 24 hours after Romney raising the discredited rumor that Obama wasn’t born in the United States.”

First of all, the “series of unwanted distractions” exist thanks to the ongoing efforts of the “progressive” Party Pravda, including their continuous attempts to tie Romney to Todd Akin’s remark, in spite of the fact that Romney spoke out immediately, publically criticizing Akin for the remark while prompting him to drop out of Missouri’s U.S. Senate contest.  The only reason Akin’s remark is tied to Romney is because people such as Elliot and Peoples continue to lie about it, and organizations like the AP and Yahoo News that employ them are complicit in repeating those lies.

The joke Romney made about where he was born, that was obviously a joke, that was never intended to be anything other than a joke, has been blown completely out of proportion and given a sinister intent that is, to put it politely, entirely fictitious in nature.

Instead of inventing faux issues with which to assail Romney, why don’t Elliot, Peoples, the AP and Yahoo News write about how the current White House occupant has fulfilled his campaign promises to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term, close Guantanamo Bay, and unite the Red States and Blue States into the United States?

Why are they not talking about how the politics of “Hope and Change” has become the politics of “Envy and Division”?

Why are they not reporting the true story that their anointed savior is neither the great uniter nor problem solver he portrayed himself to be in 2008?

Meanwhile the “progressive” Party Pravda willfully ignores the lies being spread by the White House re-election campaign and their “progressive” co-conspirators.  The White House, in a new 30-second TV ad states that Romney’s plan will break the Medicare promise and replace it with a voucher system.

That is a lie.  The Romney plan takes the $716 billion in savings found through the elimination of waste fraud and abuse and applies it to Medicare.  The White House falsely claims they are applying those savings to Medicare while in reality they are double counting them.  Out of one side of their mouth the White House is saying they are saving Medicare with that money, and then out of the other side saying they are using that money to pay for the government takeover of America’s healthcare.  The voucher system will be an option, not a dictate.  Anyone wishing to remain on the current Medicare system will have the option to do so.

The divisive, inflammatory, racist, class warfare rhetoric coming from the institutionalized “progressive” left is aptly explained by one of America’s most distinguished, honorable Founding Fathers, Benjamin Franklin in Emblematical Representations, circa 1774:

“History affords us many instances of the ruin of states, by the prosecution of measures ill-suited to the temper and genius of their people. The ordaining of laws in favor of one part of the nation, to the prejudice and oppression of another, is certainly the most erroneous and mistaken policy. An equal dispensation of protection, rights, privileges, and advantages, is what every part is entitled to, and ought to enjoy… These measures never fail to create great and violent jealousies and animosities between the people favored and the people oppressed; whence a total separation of affections, interests, political obligations, and all manner of connections, by which the whole state is weakened.”

For centuries, Americans have been warned about the storm clouds that now darken America’s sky.  For America to return to blue skies and brighter days, for America to experience a new dawn, the proponents of jealousy and animosity, who seek nothing more than the perpetuation of their own privileges and advantages, must be defeated once and for all.

What’s the Future of the Middle East?

For those who support the institutionalized “progressive” left’s or Ron Paul’s positions on foreign policy, consider these perspectives expressed in an article posted August 24, 2012 on pravda.ru:

These proclamations made by an Iranian ambassador make crystal clear the intentions of the Islamist/Fascist Iranian regime and their allies towards Israel, the United States and Western Civilization.  To knowingly and willfully ignore this clarion call to defend the Western/Judeo/Christian world approaches sedition, especially in light of the fact that this statement was published by Russia’s Pravda, almost certainly with the approval of President Vladimir Putin’s Russian government.

When Ron Paul believes that Mutual Assured Destruction will deter Iran from attacking Israel and its western allies, he displays naïveté to the differences between the Communist atheist belief that there is no afterlife and it is in their best interests to avoid the termination of their worldly existence in a nuclear exchange, and an Islamist/Fascist State that reverently believe in the Mahdi, the 12th Imam of Shi’ite lore, and therefore considers it preferable to die as martyrs than to share the planet with the Western/Judeo/Christian world.

It was disturbing enough when the current White House occupant stabbed former Soviet bloc countries turned American allies Poland and the Czech Republic in their backs when he unilaterally cancelled missile defense shield deals they had made with the previous administration.  That occupy Oval Office was also so eager to abandon national security in favor of nuclear disarmament that he would voluntarily declassify the number of nuclear warheads the U.S. possesses demonstrates a dereliction of duty on his part as Commander in Chief of the United States of America.

Mitt Romney recently outlined plans that will make America energy independent through development of its own abundant natural resources and less susceptible to an increasingly aggressive Iran’s impact on Middle East petroleum delivered through the Straits of Hormuz.

Romney has consistently condemned Iran for developing a nuclear bomb-capability.  When referring to Iranian President Ahmadinejad’s statements against Israel Romney has said “There is one place of course where I’d welcome Ahmadinejad with open arms, and that’s in a court where he would stand trial for incitement to genocide, under the terms of the Genocide Convention.”

Romney also correctly identifies the threat posed to the west by Islamist/Fascist jihad as “the defining challenge of our generation.”

Contrary to the opinion of Ali Mohaghegh, the future of the Middle East is not carved in stone, it is still being written.  How the next chapter reads depends largely on who is elected as the next President of the United States.
