Government Shutdown?…Blame Obama & Reid

There are two statements one can make with certainty about the current situation inside the beltway. First, truth is a rare commodity. What was promised to be the most transparent administration in American history has proven to, by comparison, make Richard Nixon’s Administration look like Wikileaks. And second, the Republican Party, at its highest level, has a lethal messaging problem. These two truths combine for a moment in time when the United States government is not only susceptible to Progressive despotism, but well down the road to succumbing to it.

Where the transparency and honesty of the Obama Administration is concerned, the examples of dishonesty are many. From using the Internal Revenue Service to cripple their ideological and political opponents to advancing fiction as the cause of the slaughter of four Americans by al Qaeda operative in a quest for an election victory, the list of matters ringing dishonest emanating from this administration is profound:

▪ The IRS scandal
▪ Benghazi cover-up
▪ The NSA surveillance scandal
▪ Spying on the media
▪ Fast & Furious
▪ Being able to keep your current coverage under Obamacare
▪ The Pigford debacle
▪ Sebelius violating the Hatch Act
▪ The use of secret emails by agency heads
▪ Solyndra
▪ Dropping prosecution of the New Black Panthers for voter intimidation

The list goes on and on and on, all the while the mainstream media provides cursory coverage at best, even as they provide rhetorical cover for the administration’s misdeeds.

But perhaps the most dishonest misinformation emanating from the Obama White House – and from the Democrat and Progressive controlled Senate, for that matter, is that Republicans want to shut down government. This out-and-out lie was false in 2011 and it is false today.

Since Republicans wrestled control of the US House of Representatives from the talons of Nancy Pelosi and her Progressive coven, the House has satisfied its constitutional obligation to craft and pass a budget, on time, each and every year, including for 2014. Conversely, Democrats and Progressives in the Senate have manufactured gimmicks and excuses to elude their budgetary obligations.

On January 7th, 2013, The Washington Examiner’s Byron York wrote:

“Tuesday marks the 1,350th day since the Senate passed a budget. The law requires Congress to pass a budget every year, on the grounds that Americans deserve to know how the government plans to spend the trillions of taxpayer dollars it collects, along with dollars it borrows at the taxpayers’ expense. But Majority Leader Harry Reid, who last allowed a budget through the Senate in April 2009, has ignored the law since then.

“There’s no mystery why. The budget passed by large Democrat majorities in the first months of the Obama administration had hugely elevated levels of spending in it. By not passing a new spending plan since, Reid has in effect made those levels the new budgetary baseline. Congress has kept the government going with continuing resolutions based on the last budget signed into law.

“While Reid has forbidden action, the House has passed budgets as required. Senate Democrats have been highly critical of those budgets, designed by House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan. But under Reid’s leadership, Democrats have steadfastly refused to come up with a plan of their own.”

Yet the narrative advanced by Reid, his Democrat Senate cronies and the White House is that it is Republicans who exist as “the party of ‘no’” in the US Congress. The facts, as they present, prove otherwise.

Which leads us to the current misinformation spin being advanced by the Progressives in Washington, DC: The Republicans want to shut down government over Obamacare. Truth be told, even the staunchest TEA Partier in the House and/or Senate has gone on record as not wanting to shut down government.

Article I, Sections 7, 8 and 9, respectively, of the United States Constitution states mandates that the “power of the purse” resides solely with the US House of Representatives:

“All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills…”

“The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States…”

“No money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time.”

A plan being advanced by the fiscally responsible in the US House proposes to fully fund the US federal government, devoid of any funding for the notorious and ill-crafted Affordable Care Act. The facts surrounding the proposal are thus:

▪ Government funding through the Continuing Resolution will expire on September 30th.

▪ The House should pass a Continuing Resolution to fund the entire federal government, except for Obamacare. To do so, the Continuing Resolution should include the Defund Obamacare Act (HR2682/S1292) to explicitly prohibit mandatory and discretionary Obamacare spending.

▪ If Republicans stand together, with 218 votes in the House and 41 in the Senate, we can win. House Republicans should send the Senate a Continuing Resolution that fully funds the government without funding Obamacare, and Senate Republicans should ensure that no Continuing Resolution providing Obamacare funding is signed into law.

▪ If Republicans do this, President Obama and Harry Reid will falsely accuse Republicans of threatening a government shutdown. But only they control whether to shut down the government just to implement their failed law.

To date, more than 60 House Republicans and 14 Senate Republicans have joined in this effort. The likes of Richard Shelby (R-AL), John McCain (R-AZ), Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Roy Blount (R-MO), Richard Burr (R-NC), Tom Coburn (R-OK), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Bob Corker (R-TN), and Orin Hatch (R-UT) have come out against the measure for what can only be construed as purely political reasons.

Given that the Progressives of the Obama White House and the Reid Senate have no issue with crafting falsehoods to advance their political power, Conservatives, Republicans, Libertarians and fiscally conservative Democrats should admit this inevitability. Whether fiscally responsible Republicans fund government devoid of Obamacare or not, Progressives and Democrats – including their sycophants in the mainstream media – are going to blame the GOP for any and all push back on the budget, the debt ceiling and the implementation of Obamacare, no matter what Republicans do.

This makes it all the more frustrating, if not infuriating, that Republicans at the national level – both elected and not – are miserable at messaging. In the last decades Republicans have shown not only a weakness in being able to message; to convey simple cognitive thoughts, to the American people, they have displayed a complete inability to craft and take control of “the narrative,” pre-emptively.

And while “establishment Republicans” (many of whom are Progressive elitists in their own right) blame their inability to communicate to the American people on a “facture within the party,” this avoids the stark truth that the national Republican party hasn’t had a coherent message or employed a potent counter-measure to the Progressive message since the days of Ronald Reagan.

(A note about the “facture within the party: It is more a confrontation between moderate Republicans who have allowed the party to be “nudged” to the ideological Left continuously and without reciprocation during their tenure, and those loyal to the party’s charter and tenets circa 1856; those identified as the TEA Party faction of the Republican Party; those advancing the “Defund Obamacare” movement in Congress. To wit, establishment Republicans didn’t want Ronald Reagan as their nominee either. He would have been considered a TEA Partier had the movement existed in his day.)

That said, the only thing keeping the Defund Obamacare initiative from saving the country from economic devastation and a nation devoid of individual rights is intestinal fortitude; courage and conviction.

On August 21st, 2013, a gunman, armed with an AK-47 and over 500 rounds of ammunition, entered a Georgia elementary school. Michael Brandon Hill, a 20-year-old man with a history of mental health issues, proceeded to take the school bookkeeper, Antoinette Tuff, hostage, in what could have been yet another senseless tragedy; another murderous rampage. Instead, the situation resolved in Mr. Hill being taken into custody unharmed, the children of the school safe and sound, all because Ms. Tuff had the courage to try to do the right thing. Ms. Tuff talked the would-be gunman into surrendering and seeking medical attention. Because of Ms. Tuff’s courage, because of her willingness to put the good of the children before her own self-preservation, everyone involved in the incident lives to see another day: Hill gets the help he needs and the children live to embrace their futures.

That the “establishment Republicans” on Capitol Hill would display the same courage as Ms. Tuff when it comes to doing the right thing; when it comes to making a decision to take a stand; when it comes to placing the good of the people about political self-preservation. Sadly, there are very few Antoinette Tuffs on Capitol Hill. Sadly, there are very few Antoinette Tuff’s in the Republican Party.

But there was a time when this was not the case.

Dispensing with the ‘It’s the Law’ Rhetoric

Over the past few months, Progressives and Democrats who favor the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) – both elected and not – have insisted that the new and expanding entitlement will go forward as planned because, after all, it is “the law of the land.” When I ponder this statement I find myself less inclined to laugh and more inclined to succumb to sadness. That a faction that holds the Constitution in such disregard would so disingenuously foist the hypocrisy of this statement in defense of what is arguably an unconstitutional law, defies humor.

A cursory recollection of how this horrific, economy-killing piece of legislation came to be, not only illustrates a fundamental transgression of the spirit of American government, it shows how the Progressive movement executes an “ends justifies the means” political game plan. Because Progressives believe that the United States should provide socialized healthcare to every living being existing legally in the United States (and some who do not), they purposefully circumvented the legislative process, crafting the legislation with special interest groups – including labor unions, Progressive think tank operatives and foreign aligned special interest groups, behind closed doors and excluding members of the minority party. They then moved the legislation forward – at times threatening to “deem it passed” – along party lines, ignoring the protests of the minority party and howls of discontent from the American citizenry, and into law.

Today, as Republicans in the US House, which has the constitutionally mandated power of the purse, threaten to exclude any aspect of Obamacare from the funding of government operations – which is their constitutional right to do, Progressives and toady Democrats protest that the ACA is “the law of the land.” The proclamation would have even the slightest bit of weight if these same hypocrites always acquiesced to “the law of the land.” The fact is that they transgress the “law of the land” as a matter of policy; to advance an agenda that is often times anathema to the American system of government and the rule of law.

One can look back to the first Obama Administration’s abdication of the rule of law when newly installed Attorney General Eric Holder approved of political appointees at the Justice Department quashing the prosecution of New Black Panther Party members who executed one of the most egregious instances of voter intimidation in modern history. The “law of the land” mandated that the DoJ prosecute these constitutional transgressors to “the fullest extent” of the law. If “the law of the land” was so precious to these Obama-ite Progressives and Democrats, they would have been exploring ways to include charges of racial discrimination (as the perpetrators were Black and targeting White voters) and hate crimes. But, “the law of the land” wasn’t so important as to be followed in this instance.

One could look into the non-enforcement of immigration laws by the Obama Administration to evidence their selective support of “the law of the land.” For the entire tenure of Mr. Obama’s presidency we have witnessed border patrol members and their union representatives catalog a litany of directives emanating from DHS obfuscating efforts to secure our nation’s borders and hold to justice those who have broken our laws to exist here. Yet, in a post-911 world, when we hold proof-positive in our hands that Hezbollah, Hamas and al Qaeda are working with Mexican and South American drug cartels, the “law of the land” isn’t so important to the Progressives and their sycophant Democrats so as to be honored.

The several Congressional investigations into operational and political malfeasance executed under the Obama Administration provide ample evidence that the Executive Branch Progressives have little use for “the law of the land” when it does not suit their need or the advancement of their ideological, globalist or social justice agendas. The US Constitution gives the power of oversight – including subpoena powers – to Congress. Yet today the Obama Administration routinely obstructs congressional investigators, usurping “the law of the land”:

▪ Fast & Furious saw the Holder Justice Department illegally facilitating the movement of banned weapons across the Mexican border. And even in the face of the deaths of US Border Patrol Agents, the Obama Administration – to this day – thwarts efforts to fully investigate the program.

▪ The politically motivated use of the Internal Revenue Service to target what can only be described as opposition groups, i.e. TEA Party, Conservative and Libertarian advocacy groups, stands as one of the more serious misuses of a federal agency to affect politics in the history of the country. In fact, it was the second count in the impeachment indictment leveled against former-Pres. Richard Nixon. Yet, the Obama Administration shows little interest in assisting congressional investigators in their pursuit of protecting the American citizenry from their own government’s unlawful actions. (Note to Mr. Obama…President Nixon at least had the nobility to resign).

▪ The expansion – not just the continuation – of the NSA domestic surveillance program arguably usurps the Fourth Amendment protections provided the citizenry, but under the guise of protecting the country, even some members of Congress who have Top Secret clearances are kept in the dark on the program by members of the Obama Administration.

▪ And as four brave Americans – Amb. Christopher Stevens, Ty Woods, Sean Smith & Glen Doherty – lay cold in their graves, exclusively because Mr. Obama and his Progressive crew couldn’t be exposed for their putting politics ahead of protecting American assets overseas; American soil in the form of Embassy grounds, the “most transparent” administration in American history hides behind anything that will give them cover so as not to act in the spirit of “the law of the land”; so as not to afford the justice “the law of the land” is owed those four dead Americans (Note to former-Secretary of State and potential 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton: Yes, it does matter, to every American but the Progressive elected class, evidently).

But getting back to Obamacare being “the law of the land,” and the fact that these Progressive ideologues intend to inflict this economy-killing, divisive, wealth-redistributing program onto the American people, regardless of the fact that it has never – never – been popular with over half of the nation, and that it now falls well short of providing health insurance to “every American,” I have two questions:

1) If “the law of the land” is so very important to follow, then how is it that these same people ignore the fact that “the law of the land” allows the House of Representatives to refuse to fund the entitlement program?

2) If the “law of the land” is so sacrosanct then how can these Progressive elitist oligarchs decry any part of the US Constitution – the literal “law of the land” – as malleable; as subject to dictates of the day?

The truth be told, the only time “the law of the land” means anything to Progressives is when it serves their purpose. In any other case it is an edict to be scorned, rebuked, castigated and/or ignored. That Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, the White House Communications Office and President Obama himself shamelessly hide behind the “It’s the law of the land” declaration in their defense of the legitimate House effort to save the country from this legislative mistake would be laughable if it weren’t so deadly serious.

So, let’s dispense with this rhetoric, shall we?

Kerry states US will sign UN arms regulation treaty despite legislative objection

Hugh Nelson (CC)

Hugh Nelson (CC)

Secretary of State John Kerry stated Monday that the Obama Administration intends to sign a U.N. treaty that would restrict trade of conventional weapons, despite opposition from the Senate. Fox News reports:

“We look forward to signing it as soon as the process of conforming the official translations is completed satisfactorily,” he said. Kerry called the treaty “an important contribution to efforts to stem the illicit trade in conventional weapons, which fuels conflict, empowers violent extremists, and contributes to violations of human rights.”

The treaty would require countries that ratify it to establish national regulations to control the transfer of conventional arms and components and to regulate arms brokers, but it will not explicitly control the domestic use of weapons in any country.

Still, gun-rights supporters on Capitol Hill warn the treaty could be used as the basis for additional gun regulations inside the U.S. and have threatened not to ratify.
Last week, 130 members of Congress signed a letter to Obama and Kerry urging them to reject the measure for this and other reasons.

Since ratification of a treaty will require a 2/3 vote from the Senate, it is unlikely that the administration will succeed in getting ratification. This by no means implies that gun rights activists should rest on their laurels on this issue. If the President decides to sign this treaty, everything possible must be done to guarantee that the Senate will not ratify it. As for when the treaty could be signed, it could be any time – either in the near future, or months from now.

Today 21 Republican Senators vote to tax Americans even more, while five Democrats voted against higher taxes.

Shame on those republicans, and applause for those five Democrats.

Those Republicans that are worthy of scorn are listed below. When they begin bragging about how wonderful they are and attempt to distract you with lies, don’t buy into their deceit. They will sell you a lot of snake oil, but in the end they will strike with venom again and again.

America is taxed enough.  Anyone with any common sense knows the federal government is one of the most wasteful organizations in the world.  Taxes should be cut until the government learns how to manage its business in a responsible manner.

I hope everyone that believes in the dignity of this nation will call their senators as many time as possible demanding better of them.

Are None of Them of Value

It is really quite amazing what we witness in the United States of America today.

On May 25, 1787 the Constitutional Convention opened.  One hundred sixteen days later, on September 17, 1787 they concluded their official work.  All but one of the thirteen states (excluding Rhode Island) participated in the convention.  Those twelve States gave unanimous order the Constitution should be submitted for ratification.

Among the forty-two specific delegates that participated in the convention thirty-eight voted in favor.  The principle concern of the remaining four was that proposed constitution did not contain a bill of rights articulating the rights of the people and the states over the authority of the national central government.

Yet, even in the Federalist victory for the Constitution they gave promise that such a bill of rights would be championed by the Congress as amendments to the Constitution.

Two hundred seventy-eight days later the Constitution was ratified.  Then on March 4, 1789 Congress convened in New York City for the first time. Just ninety-seven days later, even before the Supreme Court was officially established, James Madison, true to the promise given, introduced The Bill of Rights to Congress to be acted upon.

It is really quite amazing what we witness in the United States of America today.

The rights articulated in those first ten amendments to the Constitution, under the honor of those men given authority and trust of the people, are tossed aside by our current crop of congressional members.

The first amendment set the people apart from the dictates of the federal government over the free exercise of consciences.  Yet, the rights of religion, speech, assembly, and opposition to government tyranny are assailed routinely by operatives of that government.

The second amendment guaranteed the uninfringed right of the people to keep and bear arms distinctly for the purpose of preserving the strength of states against the dominance of the national government.  Yet, on every hand federally elected officials seek to superimpose their desires over the rights of the people.

The third and fourth amendments assure protection of the people against the quartering of soldiers in their homes, and against unreasonable search and seizure.  Yet, police forces with arms and fire power of a standing army may now routinely enter homes at gunpoint.  The president advocates for the power to impose upon every American via the modern technology of drone warfare.  Departments of the government may intrude private home and confiscate children.  Is it truly beyond imagination that such people will not soon advocate for armed incursion of the military into private homes?

The Fifth Amendment protects every citizen against double jeopardy and against the taking of private property.  Yet, we see routinely how the government hounds citizens.  Numerous examples exist of government trying a person for a specific crime, and upon failure to establish guilt go about finding an alternate charge to try them…only demand a retaliatory sentencing for guilt.  In my own city a man is hounded endlessly by a federal agency.  His goods and property have been confiscated without trial.  In like manner his extended family’s good have also been stolen by the government…again without trial or conviction.

The sixth and seventh amendments were meant to protect the citizenry against an executive government exercising undue length of trials and avoidance of the judicial government to punish a presumed perpetrator.  Yet, the revenue arms of the federal government taunt citizens literally for over a decade for crimes which they cannot generate evidence for against a citizen.  Further, because of the arrogance of the courts the eighth amendment, protecting the people against a zealous government intent on setting an appearance of justice, impose indiscriminant sentences.

Corresponding with the first eight amendments the ninth reiterates for emphasis that it is the rights of the government that are restricted, not the rights of the people.  Yet, routinely, elected federal officials purport to have authority over the rights people in all matters.

Finally, in the tenth amendment, simply to slam the point home with an exclamation mark the federal government is told in no uncertain terms that ALL the power given to the federal has been stated, and if it has not been stated it does not exist with them.  Yet, the federal government wields a whip of revenue over the heads of the various states coercing compliance.

It is really quite amazing what we witness in the United States of America today.  We have been turned upside-down and inside-out like a carnival contortionist.

If Madison, Adams, Jefferson, Washington and the delegates to the Constitutional Convention were alive today they would be standing in awe at the failure that modern America has made of the nation they created at such great a cost.

Does Obamacare Apply to Lawmakers?

Talk about hypocrisy.  Key members of Congress are said to be working to find an ‘opt-out’ for themselves and their aides from Obamacare.obamacare fallout

Politico is reporting that “leaders in both parties are engaged in high-level, confidential talks about exempting lawmakers and Capitol Hill aides from the insurance exchanges they are mandated to join as part of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul.”

For thee, but not for me… Really??? Both sides acutely aware of the potential for political fallout from giving carve-outs from the hugely controversial law to 535 lawmakers and thousands of their aides.

Is there ANY reason members of Congress, the very lawmakers who passed this atrocious bill, should be exempt from these mandates?

Read more at Politico or watch physician and Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) talk about this outrageous behavior by congress in the interview below:

Illegal Aliens and Amnesty By Dictate

Marco Rubio

The more things change the more they stay the same.  I am amazed at the scam Marco Rubio is trying to pull on the American people.  The “Gang of 8” comes up with this great plan that will “protect We the People” while showing some “compassionate conservativism” towards those who break our immigration laws.  Of course, as is the usual case, there are holes in this “plan” big enough to sail an aircraft carrier through.

This immigration surrender is something that no other nation in the world would tolerate.   Once again we have a very small “gang of…” deciding the future of the nation without the consent of the citizens, you know, We the People.  Marco Rubio jumped at the chance to be the front man for this affront to the Constitution and We the People, happily taking on the mantle of being Charles Schumer’s puppet.  This isn’t going to help his 2016 presidential aspirations very much.

Why should We the People believe this spin job has any real truth in it?  They propose to grant legal status to illegals now and spend ten years closing the border.  And if the border isn’t secure in the first five years it will be turned over to a committee made up of the states?  You have got to be kidding!!!  Naturally, the actual legislation isn’t even written so they want to pass the outline.  Give this vague idea a catchy name and vote it into law, QUICKLY!!!  They can get around to writing it later.  Kind of like “pass it so we can find out what is in it”, isn’t it??

I have seen all this before on the immigration issue.  They talk big about how tough they are going to be on those they “pardon” because “there will be rules to abide by, steps to take”.  And they expect me to believe this “new” legislation will be enforced? They actually think We the People are going to buy this clap-trap?  This is not governing, this is ruling by dictate.  They come out and tell us they have decided on this and demand that We the People accept it because it is “fair”.  Fair to who???  Just who is this fair to???

Is it fair to the citizens who are truly poor, those who are here legally?  They have broken no laws, yet cannot subsist on their own because the opportunities that haven’t been squashed directly by government bureaucratic regulations have been eroded by politicians pandering to those who did break the law to be here.  Government works for government.  Politicians and bureaucrats work for themselves; their power and authority, their ability to dictate how we will live ourEagle Scowling lives.

Is it fair to the retiree whose retirement savings have been frittered away by these same politicians and bureaucrats?  The senior citizens who worked all their lives see the money they saved, instead of driving new cars and taking expensive vacations, stolen by those they elected to manage the country.  They see their money taken by politicians and given to those who thumb their noses at our laws.  Politicians in both parties worked with the “too big to fail” banks, the Wall Streeters they “hate”, and the AFL-CIO to rob seniors of their life savings.

Is it fair to the union workers, er former union workers, who have lost their jobs in the last 15 years?  Is it fair to the union workers who relied on union leaders to work for the benefit of the workers, and politicians who promised to protect the Trumka and Obamajobs they eventually lost?  Is it fair to the union workers who began a family, bought a new house, went too deep into debt and then had the rug pulled out from under them by union demands and bureaucratic dictates that cost them their job? Richard Trumka and the other union big shots live a lavish lifestyle while millions of former union workers scratch to get by, losing houses and possessions.  These politicians and union leaders are more concerned about a bunch of illegal aliens than those they purport to represent.  FAIR??  Fair to who???

All this “fairness” isn’t about fairness at all, and it isn’t about Democrat versus Republican.  It is about government control of our lives and their authority over everything.  Both parties are doing this to us.  They both posture and bleat but in the end it is We the People who find our standard of living being reduced.  They want more control of our lives and give us less voice in what goes on in our nation.  These aren’t the actions of a republican form of government.  These are the actions of a dictatorial oligarchy.

They, this Gang of 8, propose that we pass “new” laws and “new” regulations to fix the problems that have been caused by not enforcing the “new” laws and “new” regulations they passed the last time this came up.  Both political parties are in this together.  All this “bi-partisanship” is steadily eroding our standard of living and our standard of liberty.republican logo

Is anyone else seeing a pattern here?  There is a problem, any problem; healthcare, immigration, firearms, welfare, etc.  The problem has been addressed countless times in the past and “new laws and regulations” have been passed but not enforced each time, because those laws will be “unfair” to those breaking the law.   The answer of politicians is always more control over those Demomcrat Logowho actually follow the laws while turning a blind eye to those who ignore the “new” laws.  Everyone knows that absolutely nothing in the current crop of new legislation will do anything to solve the problem of the illegal alien invasion.

This is but one example of many.  The politicians and the bureaucrats spend all of their time thinking up ways to further restrict the rights of citizens when they should be focusing on enforcing the last set of “new” laws, rules, and regulations they passed.  They admit the new laws won’t matter yet demand that those of us who do obey the law must give up our rights anyway.  They need to pass this idea for a possible outline quickly, before anyone can look at it.    “We have to pass it so we can find out what is in it”, AGAIN!!

The political class is destroying our nation.  They never fix anything!!!  They continually put restrictionAl Sharpton on 2nd Amendments on what legal citizens can do without so much as a thought of what the Constitution provides for.  That “old and outdated document” means nothing to either political party, but means everything to liberty and government OF the People, BY the People, and FOR the People.

There are a few in the Senate and a few in the House who are fighting the establishments of both parties on behalf of We the People.  They are being beaten down by those who control both political parties and their minions in the media.  Our voices are not welcomed by Republicans or Democrats.  THEY know best and THEY will “debate and tell us where THEY stand”.  What about where the ConstitutionConstitution stands??? What about where WE THE PEOPLE stand???

They have their dictatorial oligarchy and will not turn loose of it easily.  The statists who control both parties are seeing We the People stand up to their treachery and they don’t like it.  They want to get things jammed through as quickly as possible, knowing that time is not on their side.  We the people are fed up, standing up, and demanding they govern by the Constitution first and the will of the people second.  Their creation and intense arming of DHS is the government, BOTH POLITICAL PARTIES, saying, ”NO We will NOT honor our oath to the Constitution“!!!!!

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

To TEA Party Organization Leaders: Unite for Liberty

Leaders of TEA Party Organizations,

I have seen the different groups in the TEA Party family all working independently, or so it seems to me, on projects that are all very impoBible, flag, guns, Our rightsrtant.  I know that one of the draws of the TEA Party is independence but the time has come that all of you must unite to fight the common enemy, an out of control government.  Both political parties are unresponsive to the citizens and only getting worse.  There are good conservatives in Congress but they are being beaten down one at a time by a machine that destroys anyone who refuses to bow to the “party loyalty first” crowd and their behind-the-scenes handlers.

The Republican Party “leadership” is in league with the most radical Democrats who have ever been in power.  We are on the verge of losing our freedom because we continue to support those who have turned their backs on us time and again.  Republicans have lied to us so many times I have lost track of the number.  They have “investigated” time and gain yet have given us nothing but hand-wringing and excuses for the evil deeds of politicians of both parties.  It is time to take drastic measures.

There are good men and women in Congress fighting for We the People but they need us behind them in a united front.  TEA Party minded people make up much of the party but the Republican Party establishment is moving more towards pandering mode and ignoring us.

After the 2010 mid-term elections John Boehner, who sat in the Speaker’s chair because of us, said the TEA john-a-boehnerParty played a very minor role in the record setting landslide elections at the federal, state, and local levels.  After the “moderate candidate” disaster in 2012 the same John Boehner blamed the TEA Party for the losses.  John McCain and Lindsey Graham, among others, continually attack those who speak for us, and the McConnell/Boehner “quick, run up the white flag we will fight another day” way of doing things is unacceptable yet we accept it.  We are the enemy to them, not their allies.  They use us like Democrats use the welfare state.  We can do better.

I wrote a blog article that I hope the leadership of all of these different organizations will read.  Conservative America has the numbers in population to make a wholesale change.  All we need is leadership; people who will set their egos aside and lead us to where our founders intended us to be, using the system they designed.  As I wrote, you have the people with you.  We have in the past and continue to show we are here.  There are prominent conservatives in the media, the political realm, and Hollywood who have immense fortunes that could help fund a political party, and there are many good, conservative legislators to govern.

Many wealthy founding fathers died penniless but they had forged the greatest nation ever established. We don’t have to begin from scratch to build a nation; all we have to do is once again live by their design.  How much better could we honor those who have died to establish and preserve this Republic?

We the People are ready, we are willing, and we are able.  All we need is for those of you organFlag I am an Americanizing things, and those with the financial means to finance it, to get together and forge the type of future envisioned by our founders so many years ago.  It can be done and you can do it, with the support of the 67% of We the People who call themselves TEA Party folks.

I mentioned this in passing to Steve Eichler of TEA Party.Org .  His response was “a TEA Party Congress? Interesting”.  I like the sound of a TEA Party Congress.  It represents the vision and the work of our founders.  We have allowed our nation to come under the control of despots who see themselves as ruling rather than governing.  The only way to change it is to garner the support of the 67% who identify with the TEA Party and focus it on an Independent party.

The demographics say that 40% of people identify as Republicans, 40% as Democrats, and 20% as Independents.  Even with my lowly high school education I can figure out that no two of the groups can make up 67%.  That means TEA Party people must come from all three demographic groups.  I know that there are enough disaffected Democrat voters to give us the support we need to stop the tyranny being foisted upon us by both political parties.

Divided we are a minority in both parties but united we can overcome both parties and stop the evil despotism that is destroying the very fabric of our nation.  We the People need your help to accomplish this goal.  Without leadership there is no hope for liberty to survive.  With leadership we can once again make the United States of America the greatest nation on earth.

God granted us a great nation that has fallen away from his way; and with that falling away has come decline, despair, Holy bibleand tyranny.  Together we can bring our nation back to the principles of God that are the basis of our past success as a nation. I don’t speak of a theological nation but rather a restoration of the values established by the founders.  The question is; Can you do it?  Will you Constitutiondo it?  Can all of you, will all off you,  join forces to defeat the tyranny that is tearing our nation apart and destroying the futures of our children and grandchildren?

I am with you, and you will find the majority of We the People will follow you if you will unite and truly lead as our founders led.  Duty, Honor, Country, “with a firm reliance on Divine Providence” is the answer to our national and personal woes.  I pledge to you my support, my loyalty to your cause as long as it is the cause of constitutional liberty, my sacred honor, and my life.  I have no fortune to pledge but I pledge what I can offer if you will accept the mantle of leadership and work to restore the nation so many have died to establish and preserve.

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

Congress back in session with focus on immigration and guns

Today Congress returns for a 10-week long session that may determine whether President Obama has a positive legacy for his two terms in office.

Congress is likely to focus on gun control and immigration reform – the two most-visible issues to voters.

New gun law is currently focused on the criminal background check system. Democrats are pushing for universal background checks that would force any gun transfer, even those between family members, to require a federal form and a phone call to the FBI performed by a licensed gun dealer. Republicans are stressing that the system needs better information not background checks on intra-family transfers.

Immigration reform has been a thrust by Democrats since 2007 and has included proposals for differing versions of amnesty for illegal immigrants. Republicans have been softening their stance on reform and many are entertaining a path-to-citizenship for those that have already been in the country for several years.

Differences on immigration between the sides centers on border security. While Republicans want demonstrated proof of a secure border before a path-to-citizenship is entertained, Democrats would prefer that illegal immigrants are offered a way to become citizens and only then focus on securing the border.

The Obama administration has made immigration reform one of its top agenda items for the President’s second term. Considering the chaos, increasing complexity and rapidly rising costs of Obamacare, immigration may be his last hop for a positive legacy.

Many Democrats are fearful that growing public resentment of the failing healthcare law could leave them open to Republican challenges in the 2014 election. Immigration reform could give them something positive to point to as they campaign at home.

The President has also been canvassing the nation to garner support for universal background checks. Realizing that semi-automatic gun bans and magazine restrictions are unpopular, Obama is hoping to claim a gun control win by using public pressure to get background checks to apply to all gun transfers.

Any gun control legislation is likely to be debated for some time to come. As most polls show a lack of public support for any new gun laws, lawmakers will surely debate and negotiate heavily before anything escapes the Senate. The House is likely to shoot down any heavy-handed attempt to restrict the second amendment.

With gun control support lagging and healthcare reform on the edge of failure, Obama’s second term will almost certainly be defined by changes in immigration law.

Obama’s America Becoming a Police State

The video link here is beyond chilling.  The most chilling aspect of its beginning is the looks on the faces of the people.  These are people who seem to be surprised and confused.  These things don’t happen Obama's Gestapohere!  It often seems as though things happen overnight but it doesn’t happen that way.

Tyranny doesn’t happen over-night.  It happens in a series of events that build on themselves until you wake up one morning and life as you know it is gone forever, liberty is a thing of the past.  Adolph Hitler didn’t just start rounding up Jews on a whim.  He spent years putting the infrastructure in place to install his totalitarian state.  They had control of everything; the media, the child indoctrination centers they referred to as “public schools”, the monetary and economic structure, and national and local police departments.  Hitler and his henchmen made Jews the scapegoats.  Friends and neighbors soon began to hate Jews for who they were. German citizens bought into the blame game and generations of co-existence was gone in 6 years, all due to propaganda in the government controlled media and the government controlled schools.

The Aryan German people let Hitler have the Jews, and even helped him, because he was leaving them alone.  Then one day he struck; swiftly, efficiently, thoroughly, and without warning!!  The average German citizen woke up and found the Gestapo at their door because a disagreement over a debt, or a minor insult to a neighbor orhitler4 stranger led to them being denounced as traitors over a grudge.  The Gestapo kicked in their door and dragged them out into the street.  Some were shot dead on the spot; some were taken to prisons and tortured by sadists seeking information that didn’t exist. Most were never seen again.

This happened to your everyday, patriotic German citizens.  They had gone about their lives, ignoring or accepting the things that happened over the years as Hitler, Himmler, Goebbels, Goering, Heydrich, and the rest ignored the rights of citizens and passed decrees that were “unlawful”.  Unlawful to whom???  Hitler didn’t see rounding up, “enemies of the state”, and shooting them as “unlawful”.

The people had seen what these men were doing but said, “it can’t happen here, we have a system of laws”.  They didn’t think Hitler was a despot.  He was a great leader, Der Fuhrer, who would never turn on his “Aryan” citizens.  He “cares about us”!!  Then one day the Jews were under control and he came back for them.

When Pastor Martin Neimoller made his famous “first they came for…” quote he could have been speaking about America’s society today.  Many will ridicule this video, and the whole concept of Nazi Germany, because “it can’t or it won’t happen here, we have a Constitution”.  But take a look at this picture and answer the question, “when did this; become this?”.  Police to GestapoOur society in the United States of America today mirrors the society of 1936 Germany.

Hitler offered money to those who turned in their neighbors.  New York City is now offering a $500 bounty for snitching on anyone possessing an “illegal weapon”.  Holding a grudge against someone?  Want to cause them some misery?  What is happening in America today HAS happened before and we are taking the exact same path they took then.  Apathy and denial are the two most dangerous states of mind in any free society.

How can people ignore or dismiss the Patriot Act, NDAA 2011 and its “indefinite detention without charge”, the TSA, the Department of Homeland Security, or the explosion of local SWAT teams and the military equipment they are being given by the federal government?  Policemen now kick in doors in the middle of the night dressed in black face masks and body armor head to toe.  The uniforms are just that, uniform around the nation.  The equipment and the tactics designed for an urban battlefield are being ”uniformly” spread to police departments and sheriff’s offices throughout the nation, and being funded with primarily federal funds.  Helicopters participate in “live fire” operations using blanks, in American cities, in conjunction with local police forces.  Why are they doing this???  Who are they going to round up and put in the FEMA camps that were a “figment of my imagination” in 2010?

How can anyone with any amount of cognitive ability not see where both political parties are taking us?  How does someone dismiss 2 billion rounds of ammunition, tens of thousands of full automatic “assault rifles”, and MRAP Urban Rescue Vehicle 2armored vehicles with gun ports and machine gun mounts operated by local law enforcement?  What SWAT team really needs this kind of firepower?  Who are they going to use this equipment against?

Both political parties refuse to secure the border and do anything about all the illegal aliens.  It is very apparent that they aren’t looking to round up illegal aliens so why do we find ourselves with an internal security apparatus having so much armament?  No Demomcrat Logofree nation has ever had this kind of domestic military force and remained free for long.  This is the SS and Brown Shirts of Nazi Germany being paraded before our very eyes yet many people deny there is any danger.  It reminds me of a joke where a woman catches her husband with another woman and he asks her “are you going to believe what I tell you or your LYING EYES”???

Conspiracy Theory??  At one time I thought so.  By themselves many of the events over the last 10-15 years pose no “clear and present danger”, but when they are looked at with an open mind and in the view of 20th Century history it is another vision altogether.  We the People are calledrepublican logo mentally unstable and enemies of the state by the “leadership” of both political parties.  Veterans who defended liberty are labeled as mentally ill by members of Congress.  Some have been “detained” and had their lawfully owned firearms confiscated in a clear abuse of the Constitution.

Can’t happen here?  Won’t Happen here???  Don’t bet your life on it!!!!  Are you going to believe what they tell you or are you going to believe “your lying eyes”???  Time is short and one morning Americans will wake up and find out their nation is in the grips of a totalitarian regime as evil as Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia.

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

How Joe Biden Spent $585,000 for One Night in Paris

Have you really thought about that? Here’s how he did it.

There are more stories about this than I have toothpicks and we owned a restaurant. (Trust me, you end up with a lot of toothpicks after closing a restaurant.) I have a much different take on things but first “the facts:”

"No worries America"

“No worries America”

When you think about it – I mean really think about it – can you even imagine having the desires (plural), let alone the time and energy of what’s left in a 24-hour day, to think of all the places you could go or of all of the friends you could take or could you find enough hours in what’s left of that day to spend $585,000 for a one night stay – even in Paris with an entire security entourage? And just who’s running our country without this brain child of gluttony at the helm?

Rush Limbaugh hit this nail on the head: People like this self-serving hooligan could not and would not (because they could not) do such things with their own money. They couldn’t afford to, even on their Congressional pay and perks. OUR money is paying for this amoral gluttony and whether you are a Liberal or Conservative, if you aren’t mad as hell about this waste and excess then there’s something seriously wrong with you – get out of here. Now.

“The Facts”

Joe Biden’s $585,000 hotel bill makes no sense, MSN Money

Biden did spend an evening in Paris in early February, but there are no details in the document about whether this contract is accurate or what the final hotel bill came to. A standard room in the hotel costs about $475 a night, and the royal two-bedroom suite runs about $3,900 a night. The Weekly Standard also points to another government contract for Biden’s London hotel stay in early February. The contract, to the Hyatt Regency London, totaled $459,339. An associated document with that contract said it was for 136 rooms for 893 room nights.

Few expenses are spared when Vice President Biden hits the road, racking up five-star hotel bills of $500G, Daily News

It can cost in the neighborhood of $500,000 a night — and that’s just for the hotel.Biden’s one-day visit to Paris on Feb. 4 required more than 100 rooms at the five-star Hotel InterContinental Paris Le Grand.

The lodging cost taxpayers $585,000.50, according to federal contracting records that emerged Friday.

Joe Biden runs up bill of $585,000 for just ONE NIGHT in five-star Paris hotel (and taxpayers will pick up the tab), Mail Online

When Mr Biden and his hefty entourage stayed in Paris for an evening in early February and it cost $585,000.50 for that single night. The Vice President likely rented out more than 100 rooms in the Hotel Intercontinental Paris Le Grand, though they must not have gotten a group discount rate.

The documentation for this contract is not as detailed as the London one, so the cost per room is not available.  However, just like his London hotel, the Hotel Intercontinental Paris Le Grand is a five star hotel. Again, security concerns prevent these type of contracts from being open to bidding, but if the government was able to do some comparison shopping, the Hotel Intercontinental has a special offer, “Find a lower price elsewhere and your first night is free.” The Vice President stayed in Paris for one night.

Biden and his wife, Jill Biden, spent three days traveling Germany, London and Paris in February. They stayed at the five-star Hotel Intercontinental Paris Le Grand then spent $459,388.65 at the Hyatt Regency London the next day, also according to the Weekly Standard:

If you want to know how Biden did this against all reasonable human odds, you’re in the right place … Go here.

This is no joke. That’s the only reason I don’t parody this lamebrain administration’s unconscionable thuggary-theft of taxpayer money more. You need to read this linked article and make time for its video. Until then this will only get worse. GOP Old Guard Republicans are no better. They’re lovin’ it just as much. All on the backs of our labors (or entitlement program cut, whatever your case may be – it DOES effect you). Stop it or stop whining.

Contact your legislator today. Tell them to stop this gross spending as they deprive taxpayers who’re paying their overly extravagant bills. If not you, who? We could function better without a government than with this one. Pick your poison. I’ll take my chances with YOU any day.

Are All Democrats, Politicians and Their Voters, Marxists?

Diane FeinsteinThis past week the Senate Judiciary Committee passed Sen. Diane Feinstein’s gun control measure that outlaws more than 150 different firearms by a strictly party line (10-8) vote, despite a 2nd Amendment that clearly says “shall not be infringed”.  It doesn’t say “some firearms can be infringed”, or “some magazines can be infringed”; it says “shall not be infringed”.  State legislatures in California, Illinois, New York, and now Colorado have all passed some sort of gun control measures that clearly go against the Constitution, the 2nd Amendment, and the intentions of our Founding Fathers.

I often wonder what happened to the “Blue Dog Democrats” who were so vocal and so visible during the TEA Party rallies in 2009/2010.  Where have these “champions of freedom” in the Democrat Party gone?  When their re-election was in danger they were more than happy to stand up and deny any support of Democrat Party Marxism.  Now??? Crickets!!!!

I know of no Democrat in Congress, or any state legislature, that has stood up in the last few years and defended the Constitution, as written by our founders.  Are there no Americans left in the Democrat Party?  Are all of them determined to destroy our Republic and replace it with a dictatorship as long as it is led by their party?  Is party loyalty so intense that they are willing to let a 237 year history of liberty and self-determination go down the tubes for the sake of a political party? John F. Kennedy

What happened to the Democrat Party of my childhood, the Democrat Party led by John F. Kennedy?  Kennedy believed in low taxes; and valued the 2nd Amendment, self-determination, and the responsibility of American citizens to stand on their own two feet and make a life for themselves and their families. And, above all, JFK valued liberty. The following quotes from JFK reveal his thoughts on America and what our way of life means.

“A tax cut means higher family income and higher business profits and a balanced federal budget…. As the national income grows, the federal government will ultimately end up with more revenues. Prosperity is the real way to balance our budget. By lowering tax rates, by increasing jobs and income, we can expand tax revenues and finally bring our budget into balance.”

“Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”

“Every time that we try to lift a problem from our own shoulders, and shift that problem to the hands of the government, to the same extent we are sacrificing the liberties of our people.”

“By calling attention to a well-regulated militia for the security of the Nation, and the right of each citizen to keep and bear arms, our founding fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fear of governmental tyranny, which gave rise to the 2nd amendment, will ever be a major danger to our Nation, the amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic military-civilian relationship, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason I believe the 2nd Amendment will always be important.”

Today’s Democrat Party is the polar opposite of JFK.  They endeavor to strip We the People of the rights given by God and guaranteed by Demomcrat Logothe Constitution in the Bill of Rights.  JFK would never sit in a Judiciary Committee meeting and tell citizens we don’t have the right to defend ourselves from criminals, or from a tyrannical government.  Read he last quote again.  He would never tell us we must either turn in our weapons or have them confiscated to “protect us” from each other.

I have often written, in criticizing the Republican Party, that JFK would not be able to win the nomination to be the party’s presidential candidate in 2008 or 2012 because he would be too conservative.  If the Republican Party has gone that far left and is considered the party of “right wing extremists” by Democrats, what does that say for the Democrat Party?  I know good people, delusional but good, who are Democrats.  How is it they can vote for today’s Democrat Party and stand by those who seek to strip them of their rights as they strip mine from me.  Do thAfraid to speak against tyrannyey believe that they are going to be allowed to have guns just because they register with the right political party?

Are Democrat voters so naive or so downright stupid that they think their party will only destroy the basic rights of citizens who are not Democrats and not also apply that destruction to them?  Can anyone really be that clueless?  I find it almost impossible to believe that out of 55 Democrats in the Senate there are none who will stand up for liberty as outlined by John F. Kennedy.  Am I to understand that not one of them, nor any in the House of Representatives, will stand against the clearly Marxist leadership of their party and put the freedom of their children and grandchildren ahead of the agenda of people who are undoubtedly seeking the destruction of our Republic to Bible, flag, guns, Our rightsreplace it with a dictatorship, ala Hugo Chavez?

I know there are a lot of Republicans, such as Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Mitch McConnell, and others who are willing accomplices in the destruction of America but at least there are some who stand for the Constitution.  Are there no Ted Cruz or Rand Paul type Senators in the Democrat Party?  Are there no Louie Gohmert, Ted Poe, Jim Bridenstine, Tim Huelskamp, Justin Amash, Jason Chaffetz type Democrats in the House of Representatives?

What has happened to the Democrat Party?  I can only assume that every voter who casts a ballot for a Democrat believes in tyranny and absolute power coming from the party elitists in Washington D C (De Cesspool).  Can nEagle- America Deserves Bettero Democrat voter see where these people are taking their nation?  I find this distressing to a level I don’t know how to describe.  If people who I believe are upstanding patriotic Americans can go into the voting booth and choose people like Charles Schumer, Diane Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, Sheila Jackson Lee, Hank Johnson, Charles Rangel, Nancy Pelosi, etc. is there any hope for our nation?

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

We Were Sequestered Before It Was Cool

Sequester pruningThe Ministry of Truth for the Obama administration has been experiencing some traction problems in the DC area. The scare stories regarding the collapse of the air travel system in the event of sequester are simply not motivating people in spite of the fact the Mainstream Media (MSM) has dutifully spread the word.

We are warned that in the event of sequester, massive TSA layoffs will result in airline passengers waiting up to three hours before they can be groped by a highly–trained government sex harasser. Slashing the budget by two cents on every dollar will also mean TSA guards won’t be changing rubber gloves between touchy–feely sessions.

Female passengers, who undergo nearly nude full–body scans, will be relieved to learn this drastic reduction torpedoes the ink budget. TSA can no longer afford to print particularly comely images for posting in the lunchroom. And since it’s too costly to store the pictures on government hard drives, TSA will ask remaining employees to work overtime and upload the images to their Facebook accounts for safekeeping.

According to the White House, you aren’t even safe on board the aircraft. Air traffic controllers will be awakened from their control tower naps and told to go sleep at home. The few remaining will be grumpy and sleepy, with a consequent slowdown in takeoffs and landings.

Assuming one gets in the air, passengers will be shocked to learn airlines will no longer offer free in–flight meals and instead expect passengers to pay handsomely for sandwiches wrapped and catered by 7/11. Wait, that’s already happened. Sorry, false alarm.

All in all it’s a horrible foretaste of privation and delay, yet not a single Republican Congressman is hanging from a lamppost. In fact there is so much indifference here that Obama has taken his nationwide Hyperventilation Tour on the road.

The reason for our calm in the face of the impending storm is that Metro, our local DC subway system, has essentially been sequestered for the past two years and life has continued. It’s more inconvenient, spontaneous and ad hoc — at least when it comes to arriving on time — but it is life.

I’ve long contended Metro is the only mass trans system run by an improv group, but now the passengers are joining in the fun. Take this week for instance: Tuesday morning on the Silver Line (this is DC, so everything has to do with money) crack Metro crews were testing equipment. As the WaPost reports, one of the brakes began to lock up. Like the spinster on the way to church who assumes a flat tire will heal itself, the crew continued operating the train trying to get off the track before rush hour or looming obsolescence caught up with them.

They didn’t make it. The wheel wore down to a nub, a pantoodler fell off and sliced through 60 cables and the system ground to a halt. The only thing left to do was call AAA and wait for the tow truck.

Metro officialdom predicted repairs would be complete by noon, but it took a total of nine hours. Metro sent alerts to passengers twice and then their thumbs got tired. So between 7 AM and 2 PM Metro passengers were on their own, which is a not uncommon condition. Then a train malfunctioned on the Yellow Line. There was a track problem on the Blue line. And another train shot craps on the Green Line.

And those are just the unplanned shutdowns.

The system regularly closes entire stations on the weekend and as a matter of fact the Reagan Airport station will be shut for three days beginning March 1st. (I guess they figured what with the sequester and all, no one will be flying anyway.)

Metro limits the number of trains on holidays and shuts escalators for months at a time forcing passengers to trudge upward toward daylight from the bowels of the system. Recently on a single day Metro passengers suffered seven electronic thefts and every last one of them was during daylight hours! Thieves evidently rest during the night so they can read the manuals and learn how to download apps.

The reason Metro ‘service’ is such a gamble is management didn’t bother with routine maintenance for the past 15 or so years. I’m guessing the thinking was: We’re the government, what could go wrong? So current passengers pay for the mistakes of past incompetent management, a situation young people are soon to encounter with regard to Social Security taxes.

Frankly, I’m hoping the full effect of the sequester hits when the majority of members of Congress are out of town. That way if they can’t get back, they can’t resume spending.
