“We look forward to signing it as soon as the process of conforming the official translations is completed satisfactorily,” he said. Kerry called the treaty “an important contribution to efforts to stem the illicit trade in conventional weapons, which fuels conflict, empowers violent extremists, and contributes to violations of human rights.”

The treaty would require countries that ratify it to establish national regulations to control the transfer of conventional arms and components and to regulate arms brokers, but it will not explicitly control the domestic use of weapons in any country.

Still, gun-rights supporters on Capitol Hill warn the treaty could be used as the basis for additional gun regulations inside the U.S. and have threatened not to ratify.
Last week, 130 members of Congress signed a letter to Obama and Kerry urging them to reject the measure for this and other reasons.

Since ratification of a treaty will require a 2/3 vote from the Senate, it is unlikely that the administration will succeed in getting ratification. This by no means implies that gun rights activists should rest on their laurels on this issue. If the President decides to sign this treaty, everything possible must be done to guarantee that the Senate will not ratify it. As for when the treaty could be signed, it could be any time – either in the near future, or months from now.

America is taxed enough. Anyone with any common sense knows the federal government is one of the most wasteful organizations in the world. Taxes should be cut until the government learns how to manage its business in a responsible manner.

I hope everyone that believes in the dignity of this nation will call their senators as many time as possible demanding better of them.

It is really quite amazing what we witness in the United States of America today.

On May 25, 1787 the Constitutional Convention opened. One hundred sixteen days later, on September 17, 1787 they concluded their official work. All but one of the thirteen states (excluding Rhode Island) participated in the convention. Those twelve States gave unanimous order the Constitution should be submitted for ratification.

Among the forty-two specific delegates that participated in the convention thirty-eight voted in favor. The principle concern of the remaining four was that proposed constitution did not contain a bill of rights articulating the rights of the people and the states over the authority of the national central government.

Yet, even in the Federalist victory for the Constitution they gave promise that such a bill of rights would be championed by the Congress as amendments to the Constitution.

Two hundred seventy-eight days later the Constitution was ratified. Then on March 4, 1789 Congress convened in New York City for the first time. Just ninety-seven days later, even before the Supreme Court was officially established, James Madison, true to the promise given, introduced The Bill of Rights to Congress to be acted upon.

It is really quite amazing what we witness in the United States of America today.

The rights articulated in those first ten amendments to the Constitution, under the honor of those men given authority and trust of the people, are tossed aside by our current crop of congressional members.

The first amendment set the people apart from the dictates of the federal government over the free exercise of consciences. Yet, the rights of religion, speech, assembly, and opposition to government tyranny are assailed routinely by operatives of that government.

The second amendment guaranteed the uninfringed right of the people to keep and bear arms distinctly for the purpose of preserving the strength of states against the dominance of the national government. Yet, on every hand federally elected officials seek to superimpose their desires over the rights of the people.

The third and fourth amendments assure protection of the people against the quartering of soldiers in their homes, and against unreasonable search and seizure. Yet, police forces with arms and fire power of a standing army may now routinely enter homes at gunpoint. The president advocates for the power to impose upon every American via the modern technology of drone warfare. Departments of the government may intrude private home and confiscate children. Is it truly beyond imagination that such people will not soon advocate for armed incursion of the military into private homes?

The Fifth Amendment protects every citizen against double jeopardy and against the taking of private property. Yet, we see routinely how the government hounds citizens. Numerous examples exist of government trying a person for a specific crime, and upon failure to establish guilt go about finding an alternate charge to try them…only demand a retaliatory sentencing for guilt. In my own city a man is hounded endlessly by a federal agency. His goods and property have been confiscated without trial. In like manner his extended family’s good have also been stolen by the government…again without trial or conviction.

The sixth and seventh amendments were meant to protect the citizenry against an executive government exercising undue length of trials and avoidance of the judicial government to punish a presumed perpetrator. Yet, the revenue arms of the federal government taunt citizens literally for over a decade for crimes which they cannot generate evidence for against a citizen. Further, because of the arrogance of the courts the eighth amendment, protecting the people against a zealous government intent on setting an appearance of justice, impose indiscriminant sentences.

Corresponding with the first eight amendments the ninth reiterates for emphasis that it is the rights of the government that are restricted, not the rights of the people. Yet, routinely, elected federal officials purport to have authority over the rights people in all matters.

Finally, in the tenth amendment, simply to slam the point home with an exclamation mark the federal government is told in no uncertain terms that ALL the power given to the federal has been stated, and if it has not been stated it does not exist with them. Yet, the federal government wields a whip of revenue over the heads of the various states coercing compliance.

It is really quite amazing what we witness in the United States of America today. We have been turned upside-down and inside-out like a carnival contortionist.

If Madison, Adams, Jefferson, Washington and the delegates to the Constitutional Convention were alive today they would be standing in awe at the failure that modern America has made of the nation they created at such great a cost.

Politico is reporting that “leaders in both parties are engaged in high-level, confidential talks about exempting lawmakers and Capitol Hill aides from the insurance exchanges they are mandated to join as part of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul.”

For thee, but not for me… Really??? Both sides acutely aware of the potential for political fallout from giving carve-outs from the hugely controversial law to 535 lawmakers and thousands of their aides.

Is there ANY reason members of Congress, the very lawmakers who passed this atrocious bill, should be exempt from these mandates?

The more things change the more they stay the same. I am amazed at the scam Marco Rubio is trying to pull on the American people. The “Gang of 8” comes up with this great plan that will “protect We the People” while showing some “compassionate conservativism” towards those who break our immigration laws. Of course, as is the usual case, there are holes in this “plan” big enough to sail an aircraft carrier through.

This immigration surrender is something that no other nation in the world would tolerate. Once again we have a very small “gang of…” deciding the future of the nation without the consent of the citizens, you know, We the People. Marco Rubio jumped at the chance to be the front man for this affront to the Constitution and We the People, happily taking on the mantle of being Charles Schumer’s puppet. This isn’t going to help his 2016 presidential aspirations very much.

Why should We the People believe this spin job has any real truth in it? They propose to grant legal status to illegals now and spend ten years closing the border. And if the border isn’t secure in the first five years it will be turned over to a committee made up of the states? You have got to be kidding!!! Naturally, the actual legislation isn’t even written so they want to pass the outline. Give this vague idea a catchy name and vote it into law, QUICKLY!!! They can get around to writing it later. Kind of like “pass it so we can find out what is in it”, isn’t it??

I have seen all this before on the immigration issue. They talk big about how tough they are going to be on those they “pardon” because “there will be rules to abide by, steps to take”. And they expect me to believe this “new” legislation will be enforced? They actually think We the People are going to buy this clap-trap? This is not governing, this is ruling by dictate. They come out and tell us they have decided on this and demand that We the People accept it because it is “fair”. Fair to who??? Just who is this fair to???

Is it fair to the citizens who are truly poor, those who are here legally? They have broken no laws, yet cannot subsist on their own because the opportunities that haven’t been squashed directly by government bureaucratic regulations have been eroded by politicians pandering to those who did break the law to be here. Government works for government. Politicians and bureaucrats work for themselves; their power and authority, their ability to dictate how we will live our lives.

Is it fair to the retiree whose retirement savings have been frittered away by these same politicians and bureaucrats? The senior citizens who worked all their lives see the money they saved, instead of driving new cars and taking expensive vacations, stolen by those they elected to manage the country. They see their money taken by politicians and given to those who thumb their noses at our laws. Politicians in both parties worked with the “too big to fail” banks, the Wall Streeters they “hate”, and the AFL-CIO to rob seniors of their life savings.

Is it fair to the union workers, er former union workers, who have lost their jobs in the last 15 years? Is it fair to the union workers who relied on union leaders to work for the benefit of the workers, and politicians who promised to protect the jobs they eventually lost? Is it fair to the union workers who began a family, bought a new house, went too deep into debt and then had the rug pulled out from under them by union demands and bureaucratic dictates that cost them their job? Richard Trumka and the other union big shots live a lavish lifestyle while millions of former union workers scratch to get by, losing houses and possessions. These politicians and union leaders are more concerned about a bunch of illegal aliens than those they purport to represent. FAIR?? Fair to who???

All this “fairness” isn’t about fairness at all, and it isn’t about Democrat versus Republican. It is about government control of our lives and their authority over everything. Both parties are doing this to us. They both posture and bleat but in the end it is We the People who find our standard of living being reduced. They want more control of our lives and give us less voice in what goes on in our nation. These aren’t the actions of a republican form of government. These are the actions of a dictatorial oligarchy.

They, this Gang of 8, propose that we pass “new” laws and “new” regulations to fix the problems that have been caused by not enforcing the “new” laws and “new” regulations they passed the last time this came up. Both political parties are in this together. All this “bi-partisanship” is steadily eroding our standard of living and our standard of liberty.

Is anyone else seeing a pattern here? There is a problem, any problem; healthcare, immigration, firearms, welfare, etc. The problem has been addressed countless times in the past and “new laws and regulations” have been passed but not enforced each time, because those laws will be “unfair” to those breaking the law. The answer of politicians is always more control over those who actually follow the laws while turning a blind eye to those who ignore the “new” laws. Everyone knows that absolutely nothing in the current crop of new legislation will do anything to solve the problem of the illegal alien invasion.

This is but one example of many. The politicians and the bureaucrats spend all of their time thinking up ways to further restrict the rights of citizens when they should be focusing on enforcing the last set of “new” laws, rules, and regulations they passed. They admit the new laws won’t matter yet demand that those of us who do obey the law must give up our rights anyway. They need to pass this idea for a possible outline quickly, before anyone can look at it. “We have to pass it so we can find out what is in it”, AGAIN!!

The political class is destroying our nation. They never fix anything!!! They continually put restrictions on what legal citizens can do without so much as a thought of what the Constitution provides for. That “old and outdated document” means nothing to either political party, but means everything to liberty and government OF the People, BY the People, and FOR the People.

There are a few in the Senate and a few in the House who are fighting the establishments of both parties on behalf of We the People. They are being beaten down by those who control both political parties and their minions in the media. Our voices are not welcomed by Republicans or Democrats. THEY know best and THEY will “debate and tell us where THEY stand”. What about where the Constitution stands??? What about where WE THE PEOPLE stand???

They have their dictatorial oligarchy and will not turn loose of it easily. The statists who control both parties are seeing We the People stand up to their treachery and they don’t like it. They want to get things jammed through as quickly as possible, knowing that time is not on their side. We the people are fed up, standing up, and demanding they govern by the Constitution first and the will of the people second. Their creation and intense arming of DHS is the government, BOTH POLITICAL PARTIES, saying, ”NO We will NOT honor our oath to the Constitution“!!!!!

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

Leaders of TEA Party Organizations,

I have seen the different groups in the TEA Party family all working independently, or so it seems to me, on projects that are all very important. I know that one of the draws of the TEA Party is independence but the time has come that all of you must unite to fight the common enemy, an out of control government. Both political parties are unresponsive to the citizens and only getting worse. There are good conservatives in Congress but they are being beaten down one at a time by a machine that destroys anyone who refuses to bow to the “party loyalty first” crowd and their behind-the-scenes handlers.

The Republican Party “leadership” is in league with the most radical Democrats who have ever been in power. We are on the verge of losing our freedom because we continue to support those who have turned their backs on us time and again. Republicans have lied to us so many times I have lost track of the number. They have “investigated” time and gain yet have given us nothing but hand-wringing and excuses for the evil deeds of politicians of both parties. It is time to take drastic measures.

There are good men and women in Congress fighting for We the People but they need us behind them in a united front. TEA Party minded people make up much of the party but the Republican Party establishment is moving more towards pandering mode and ignoring us.

After the 2010 mid-term elections John Boehner, who sat in the Speaker’s chair because of us, said the TEA Party played a very minor role in the record setting landslide elections at the federal, state, and local levels. After the “moderate candidate” disaster in 2012 the same John Boehner blamed the TEA Party for the losses. John McCain and Lindsey Graham, among others, continually attack those who speak for us, and the McConnell/Boehner “quick, run up the white flag we will fight another day” way of doing things is unacceptable yet we accept it. We are the enemy to them, not their allies. They use us like Democrats use the welfare state. We can do better.

I wrote a blog article that I hope the leadership of all of these different organizations will read. Conservative America has the numbers in population to make a wholesale change. All we need is leadership; people who will set their egos aside and lead us to where our founders intended us to be, using the system they designed. As I wrote, you have the people with you. We have in the past and continue to show we are here. There are prominent conservatives in the media, the political realm, and Hollywood who have immense fortunes that could help fund a political party, and there are many good, conservative legislators to govern.

Many wealthy founding fathers died penniless but they had forged the greatest nation ever established. We don’t have to begin from scratch to build a nation; all we have to do is once again live by their design. How much better could we honor those who have died to establish and preserve this Republic?

We the People are ready, we are willing, and we are able. All we need is for those of you organizing things, and those with the financial means to finance it, to get together and forge the type of future envisioned by our founders so many years ago. It can be done and you can do it, with the support of the 67% of We the People who call themselves TEA Party folks.

I mentioned this in passing to Steve Eichler of TEA Party.Org . His response was “a TEA Party Congress? Interesting”. I like the sound of a TEA Party Congress. It represents the vision and the work of our founders. We have allowed our nation to come under the control of despots who see themselves as ruling rather than governing. The only way to change it is to garner the support of the 67% who identify with the TEA Party and focus it on an Independent party.

The demographics say that 40% of people identify as Republicans, 40% as Democrats, and 20% as Independents. Even with my lowly high school education I can figure out that no two of the groups can make up 67%. That means TEA Party people must come from all three demographic groups. I know that there are enough disaffected Democrat voters to give us the support we need to stop the tyranny being foisted upon us by both political parties.

Divided we are a minority in both parties but united we can overcome both parties and stop the evil despotism that is destroying the very fabric of our nation. We the People need your help to accomplish this goal. Without leadership there is no hope for liberty to survive. With leadership we can once again make the United States of America the greatest nation on earth.

God granted us a great nation that has fallen away from his way; and with that falling away has come decline, despair, and tyranny. Together we can bring our nation back to the principles of God that are the basis of our past success as a nation. I don’t speak of a theological nation but rather a restoration of the values established by the founders. The question is; Can you do it? Will you do it? Can all of you, will all off you, join forces to defeat the tyranny that is tearing our nation apart and destroying the futures of our children and grandchildren?

I am with you, and you will find the majority of We the People will follow you if you will unite and truly lead as our founders led. Duty, Honor, Country, “with a firm reliance on Divine Providence” is the answer to our national and personal woes. I pledge to you my support, my loyalty to your cause as long as it is the cause of constitutional liberty, my sacred honor, and my life. I have no fortune to pledge but I pledge what I can offer if you will accept the mantle of leadership and work to restore the nation so many have died to establish and preserve.

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

Today Congress returns for a 10-week long session that may determine whether President Obama has a positive legacy for his two terms in office.

Congress is likely to focus on gun control and immigration reform – the two most-visible issues to voters.

New gun law is currently focused on the criminal background check system. Democrats are pushing for universal background checks that would force any gun transfer, even those between family members, to require a federal form and a phone call to the FBI performed by a licensed gun dealer. Republicans are stressing that the system needs better information not background checks on intra-family transfers.

Immigration reform has been a thrust by Democrats since 2007 and has included proposals for differing versions of amnesty for illegal immigrants. Republicans have been softening their stance on reform and many are entertaining a path-to-citizenship for those that have already been in the country for several years.

Differences on immigration between the sides centers on border security. While Republicans want demonstrated proof of a secure border before a path-to-citizenship is entertained, Democrats would prefer that illegal immigrants are offered a way to become citizens and only then focus on securing the border.

The Obama administration has made immigration reform one of its top agenda items for the President’s second term. Considering the chaos, increasing complexity and rapidly rising costs of Obamacare, immigration may be his last hop for a positive legacy.

Many Democrats are fearful that growing public resentment of the failing healthcare law could leave them open to Republican challenges in the 2014 election. Immigration reform could give them something positive to point to as they campaign at home.

The President has also been canvassing the nation to garner support for universal background checks. Realizing that semi-automatic gun bans and magazine restrictions are unpopular, Obama is hoping to claim a gun control win by using public pressure to get background checks to apply to all gun transfers.

Any gun control legislation is likely to be debated for some time to come. As most polls show a lack of public support for any new gun laws, lawmakers will surely debate and negotiate heavily before anything escapes the Senate. The House is likely to shoot down any heavy-handed attempt to restrict the second amendment.

With gun control support lagging and healthcare reform on the edge of failure, Obama’s second term will almost certainly be defined by changes in immigration law.

The video link here is beyond chilling. The most chilling aspect of its beginning is the looks on the faces of the people. These are people who seem to be surprised and confused. These things don’t happen here! It often seems as though things happen overnight but it doesn’t happen that way.

Tyranny doesn’t happen over-night. It happens in a series of events that build on themselves until you wake up one morning and life as you know it is gone forever, liberty is a thing of the past. Adolph Hitler didn’t just start rounding up Jews on a whim. He spent years putting the infrastructure in place to install his totalitarian state. They had control of everything; the media, the child indoctrination centers they referred to as “public schools”, the monetary and economic structure, and national and local police departments. Hitler and his henchmen made Jews the scapegoats. Friends and neighbors soon began to hate Jews for who they were. German citizens bought into the blame game and generations of co-existence was gone in 6 years, all due to propaganda in the government controlled media and the government controlled schools.

The Aryan German people let Hitler have the Jews, and even helped him, because he was leaving them alone. Then one day he struck; swiftly, efficiently, thoroughly, and without warning!! The average German citizen woke up and found the Gestapo at their door because a disagreement over a debt, or a minor insult to a neighbor or stranger led to them being denounced as traitors over a grudge. The Gestapo kicked in their door and dragged them out into the street. Some were shot dead on the spot; some were taken to prisons and tortured by sadists seeking information that didn’t exist. Most were never seen again.

This happened to your everyday, patriotic German citizens. They had gone about their lives, ignoring or accepting the things that happened over the years as Hitler, Himmler, Goebbels, Goering, Heydrich, and the rest ignored the rights of citizens and passed decrees that were “unlawful”. Unlawful to whom??? Hitler didn’t see rounding up, “enemies of the state”, and shooting them as “unlawful”.

The people had seen what these men were doing but said, “it can’t happen here, we have a system of laws”. They didn’t think Hitler was a despot. He was a great leader, Der Fuhrer, who would never turn on his “Aryan” citizens. He “cares about us”!! Then one day the Jews were under control and he came back for them.

When Pastor Martin Neimoller made his famous “first they came for…” quote he could have been speaking about America’s society today. Many will ridicule this video, and the whole concept of Nazi Germany, because “it can’t or it won’t happen here, we have a Constitution”. But take a look at this picture and answer the question, “when did this; become this?”. Our society in the United States of America today mirrors the society of 1936 Germany.

Hitler offered money to those who turned in their neighbors. New York City is now offering a $500 bounty for snitching on anyone possessing an “illegal weapon”. Holding a grudge against someone? Want to cause them some misery? What is happening in America today HAS happened before and we are taking the exact same path they took then. Apathy and denial are the two most dangerous states of mind in any free society.

How can people ignore or dismiss the Patriot Act, NDAA 2011 and its “indefinite detention without charge”, the TSA, the Department of Homeland Security, or the explosion of local SWAT teams and the military equipment they are being given by the federal government? Policemen now kick in doors in the middle of the night dressed in black face masks and body armor head to toe. The uniforms are just that, uniform around the nation. The equipment and the tactics designed for an urban battlefield are being ”uniformly” spread to police departments and sheriff’s offices throughout the nation, and being funded with primarily federal funds. Helicopters participate in “live fire” operations using blanks, in American cities, in conjunction with local police forces. Why are they doing this??? Who are they going to round up and put in the FEMA camps that were a “figment of my imagination” in 2010?

How can anyone with any amount of cognitive ability not see where both political parties are taking us? How does someone dismiss 2 billion rounds of ammunition, tens of thousands of full automatic “assault rifles”, and MRAP armored vehicles with gun ports and machine gun mounts operated by local law enforcement? What SWAT team really needs this kind of firepower? Who are they going to use this equipment against?

Both political parties refuse to secure the border and do anything about all the illegal aliens. It is very apparent that they aren’t looking to round up illegal aliens so why do we find ourselves with an internal security apparatus having so much armament? No free nation has ever had this kind of domestic military force and remained free for long. This is the SS and Brown Shirts of Nazi Germany being paraded before our very eyes yet many people deny there is any danger. It reminds me of a joke where a woman catches her husband with another woman and he asks her “are you going to believe what I tell you or your LYING EYES”???

Conspiracy Theory?? At one time I thought so. By themselves many of the events over the last 10-15 years pose no “clear and present danger”, but when they are looked at with an open mind and in the view of 20th Century history it is another vision altogether. We the People are called mentally unstable and enemies of the state by the “leadership” of both political parties. Veterans who defended liberty are labeled as mentally ill by members of Congress. Some have been “detained” and had their lawfully owned firearms confiscated in a clear abuse of the Constitution.

Can’t happen here? Won’t Happen here??? Don’t bet your life on it!!!! Are you going to believe what they tell you or are you going to believe “your lying eyes”??? Time is short and one morning Americans will wake up and find out their nation is in the grips of a totalitarian regime as evil as Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia.

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

There are more stories about this than I have toothpicks and we owned a restaurant. (Trust me, you end up with a lot of toothpicks after closing a restaurant.) I have a much different take on things but first “the facts:”

“No worries America”

When you think about it – I mean really think about it – can you even imagine having the desires (plural), let alone the time and energy of what’s left in a 24-hour day, to think of all the places you could go or of all of the friends you could take or could you find enough hours in what’s left of that day to spend $585,000 for a one night stay – even in Paris with an entire security entourage? And just who’s running our country without this brain child of gluttony at the helm?

Rush Limbaugh hit this nail on the head: People like this self-serving hooligan could not and would not (because they could not) do such things with their own money. They couldn’t afford to, even on their Congressional pay and perks. OUR money is paying for this amoral gluttony and whether you are a Liberal or Conservative, if you aren’t mad as hell about this waste and excess then there’s something seriously wrong with you – get out of here. Now.

Biden did spend an evening in Paris in early February, but there are no details in the document about whether this contract is accurate or what the final hotel bill came to. A standard room in the hotel costs about $475 a night, and the royal two-bedroom suite runs about $3,900 a night. The Weekly Standard also points to another government contract for Biden’s London hotel stay in early February. The contract, to the Hyatt Regency London, totaled $459,339.
If you want to know how Biden did this against all reasonable human odds, you’re in the right place … Go here.

This is no joke. That’s the only reason I don’t parody this lamebrain administration’s unconscionable thuggary-theft of taxpayer money more. You need to read this linked article and make time for its video. Until then this will only get worse. GOP Old Guard Republicans are no better. They’re lovin’ it just as much. All on the backs of our labors (or entitlement program cut, whatever your case may be – it DOES effect you). Stop it or stop whining.

Contact your legislator today. Tell them to stop this gross spending as they deprive taxpayers who’re paying their overly extravagant bills. If not you, who? We could function better without a government than with this one. Pick your poison. I’ll take my chances with YOU any day.

This past week the Senate Judiciary Committee passed Sen. Diane Feinstein’s gun control measure that outlaws more than 150 different firearms by a strictly party line (10-8) vote, despite a 2nd Amendment that clearly says “shall not be infringed”. It doesn’t say “some firearms can be infringed”, or “some magazines can be infringed”; it says “shall not be infringed”. State legislatures in California, Illinois, New York, and now Colorado have all passed some sort of gun control measures that clearly go against the Constitution, the 2nd Amendment, and the intentions of our Founding Fathers.

I often wonder what happened to the “Blue Dog Democrats” who were so vocal and so visible during the TEA Party rallies in 2009/2010. Where have these “champions of freedom” in the Democrat Party gone? When their re-election was in danger they were more than happy to stand up and deny any support of Democrat Party Marxism. Now??? Crickets!!!!

I know of no Democrat in Congress, or any state legislature, that has stood up in the last few years and defended the Constitution, as written by our founders. Are there no Americans left in the Democrat Party? Are all of them determined to destroy our Republic and replace it with a dictatorship as long as it is led by their party? Is party loyalty so intense that they are willing to let a 237 year history of liberty and self-determination go down the tubes for the sake of a political party?

What happened to the Democrat Party of my childhood, the Democrat Party led by John F. Kennedy? Kennedy believed in low taxes; and valued the 2nd Amendment, self-determination, and the responsibility of American citizens to stand on their own two feet and make a life for themselves and their families. And, above all, JFK valued liberty. The following quotes from JFK reveal his thoughts on America and what our way of life means.

“A tax cut means higher family income and higher business profits and a balanced federal budget…. As the national income grows, the federal government will ultimately end up with more revenues. Prosperity is the real way to balance our budget. By lowering tax rates, by increasing jobs and income, we can expand tax revenues and finally bring our budget into balance.”

“Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”

“Every time that we try to lift a problem from our own shoulders, and shift that problem to the hands of the government, to the same extent we are sacrificing the liberties of our people.”

“By calling attention to a well-regulated militia for the security of the Nation, and the right of each citizen to keep and bear arms, our founding fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fear of governmental tyranny, which gave rise to the 2nd amendment, will ever be a major danger to our Nation, the amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic military-civilian relationship, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason I believe the 2nd Amendment will always be important.”

Today’s Democrat Party is the polar opposite of JFK. They endeavor to strip We the People of the rights given by God and guaranteed by the Constitution in the Bill of Rights. JFK would never sit in a Judiciary Committee meeting and tell citizens we don’t have the right to defend ourselves from criminals, or from a tyrannical government. Read he last quote again. He would never tell us we must either turn in our weapons or have them confiscated to “protect us” from each other.

I have often written, in criticizing the Republican Party, that JFK would not be able to win the nomination to be the party’s presidential candidate in 2008 or 2012 because he would be too conservative. If the Republican Party has gone that far left and is considered the party of “right wing extremists” by Democrats, what does that say for the Democrat Party? I know good people, delusional but good, who are Democrats. How is it they can vote for today’s Democrat Party and stand by those who seek to strip them of their rights as they strip mine from me. Do they believe that they are going to be allowed to have guns just because they register with the right political party?

Are Democrat voters so naive or so downright stupid that they think their party will only destroy the basic rights of citizens who are not Democrats and not also apply that destruction to them? Can anyone really be that clueless? I find it almost impossible to believe that out of 55 Democrats in the Senate there are none who will stand up for liberty as outlined by John F. Kennedy. Am I to understand that not one of them, nor any in the House of Representatives, will stand against the clearly Marxist leadership of their party and put the freedom of their children and grandchildren ahead of the agenda of people who are undoubtedly seeking the destruction of our Republic to replace it with a dictatorship, ala Hugo Chavez?

I know there are a lot of Republicans, such as Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Mitch McConnell, and others who are willing accomplices in the destruction of America but at least there are some who stand for the Constitution. Are there no Ted Cruz or Rand Paul type Senators in the Democrat Party? Are there no Louie Gohmert, Ted Poe, Jim Bridenstine, Tim Huelskamp, Justin Amash, Jason Chaffetz type Democrats in the House of Representatives?

What has happened to the Democrat Party? I can only assume that every voter who casts a ballot for a Democrat believes in tyranny and absolute power coming from the party elitists in Washington D C (De Cesspool). Can no Democrat voter see where these people are taking their nation? I find this distressing to a level I don’t know how to describe. If people who I believe are upstanding patriotic Americans can go into the voting booth and choose people like Charles Schumer, Diane Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, Sheila Jackson Lee, Hank Johnson, Charles Rangel, Nancy Pelosi, etc. is there any hope for our nation?

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

The scare stories regarding the collapse of the air travel system in the event of sequester are simply not motivating people in spite of the fact the Mainstream Media (MSM) has dutifully spread the word.

We are warned that in the event of sequester, massive TSA layoffs will result in airline passengers waiting up to three hours before they can be groped by a highly–trained government sex harasser. Slashing the budget by two cents on every dollar will also mean TSA guards won’t be changing rubber gloves between touchy–feely sessions.

Female passengers, who undergo nearly nude full–body scans, will be relieved to learn this drastic reduction torpedoes the ink budget. TSA can no longer afford to print particularly comely images for posting in the lunchroom. And since it’s too costly to store the pictures on government hard drives, TSA will ask remaining employees to work overtime and upload the images to their Facebook accounts for safekeeping.

According to the White House, you aren’t even safe on board the aircraft. Air traffic controllers will be awakened from their control tower naps and told to go sleep at home. The few remaining will be grumpy and sleepy, with a consequent slowdown in takeoffs and landings.

Assuming one gets in the air, passengers will be shocked to learn airlines will no longer offer free in–flight meals and instead expect passengers to pay handsomely for sandwiches wrapped and catered by 7/11. Wait, that’s already happened. Sorry, false alarm.

All in all it’s a horrible foretaste of privation and delay, yet not a single Republican Congressman is hanging from a lamppost. In fact there is so much indifference here that Obama has taken his nationwide Hyperventilation Tour on the road.

The reason for our calm in the face of the impending storm is that Metro, our local DC subway system, has essentially been sequestered for the past two years and life has continued. It’s more inconvenient, spontaneous and ad hoc — at least when it comes to arriving on time — but it is life.

I’ve long contended Metro is the only mass trans system run by an improv group, but now the passengers are joining in the fun. Take this week for instance: Tuesday morning on the Silver Line (this is DC, so everything has to do with money) crack Metro crews were testing equipment. As the WaPost reports, one of the brakes began to lock up. Like the spinster on the way to church who assumes a flat tire will heal itself, the crew continued operating the train trying to get off the track before rush hour or looming obsolescence caught up with them.

They didn’t make it. The wheel wore down to a nub, a pantoodler fell off and sliced through 60 cables and the system ground to a halt. The only thing left to do was call AAA and wait for the tow truck.

Metro officialdom predicted repairs would be complete by noon, but it took a total of nine hours. Metro sent alerts to passengers twice and then their thumbs got tired. So between 7 AM and 2 PM Metro passengers were on their own, which is a not uncommon condition. Then a train malfunctioned on the Yellow Line. There was a track problem on the Blue line. And another train shot craps on the Green Line.

And those are just the unplanned shutdowns.

The system regularly closes entire stations on the weekend and as a matter of fact the Reagan Airport station will be shut for three days beginning March 1st. (I guess they figured what with the sequester and all, no one will be flying anyway.)

Metro limits the number of trains on holidays and shuts escalators for months at a time forcing passengers to trudge upward toward daylight from the bowels of the system. Recently on a single day Metro passengers suffered seven electronic thefts and every last one of them was during daylight hours! Thieves evidently rest during the night so they can read the manuals and learn how to download apps.

The reason Metro ‘service’ is such a gamble is management didn’t bother with routine maintenance for the past 15 or so years. I’m guessing the thinking was: We’re the government, what could go wrong? So current passengers pay for the mistakes of past incompetent management, a situation young people are soon to encounter with regard to Social Security taxes.

Frankly, I’m hoping the full effect of the sequester hits when the majority of members of Congress are out of town. That way if they can’t get back, they can’t resume spending.

I have heard testimony, all that I can stand to listen to anyway, on the Benghazi attack of September 11, 2012 and find it more and more disgusting as each day of “testimony” comes and goes. No one on these “investigative panels” really wants the citizens to know what happened or why it happened. If they did they wouldn’t be asking Hillary Clinton, Leon Panetta, and the rest of the regime “explainers” being “called before Congress”.

I did a search of the Benghazi attack and the first eleven entries I found involved Panetta and what he had to say about the situation. Now, I realize I am not a lofty Senator or Congressman but I would do things a bit differently. Clinton and Panetta would be the last ones I would call to testify. My “panel of experts” would entail a totally different group of people. The two brave Navy Seals who died trying to help can’t talk so I would do the next best thing. The first people I would call to testify would be those who were dismissed from their posts for refusing to “stand down” during the attack.

I would call Rear Admiral Charles M. Gaouette, who was removed from command of the USS Stennis Carrier Group, designated Carrier Strike Group 3 (CSG-3). Gaouette was replaced over “allegations of inappropriate leadership judgment” after he refused to stand down when he ordered his forces to assist ground troops being sent on a rescue mission to Benghazi. According to several stories I have read it is extremely unusual for a commander to be removed from command while at sea. The usual action is to replace them when they return to port. Admiral Gouette is reported to be in the Obama dog house for refusing to “stand down” after hearing the call for help from Ambassador Stevens during the attack caused by “a video offensive to Islam”. I would ask Admiral Gaouette what he knew and when he knew it, what his actions were in regards to the attack, and finally, when he was told to stand down and who gave that order.

The second person I would call would be General Carter Ham, commander of AFRICOM, the top commander on the African continent. General Ham was reportedly relieved of his command and detained by his second-in-command, General David Rodriquez, when he refused to stand down in his moves to provide support to Ambassador Stevens and the other Americans at the Benghazi consulate. Rodriquez quickly received a promotion for his loyalty to the regime rather than to his fellow Americans who were under attack. After General Ham I would pull Gen. Rodriguez in for a “consultation”.

The song and dance we get from the regime is that there wasn’t time and that we didn’t have enough information to put armed forces into the situation. While I am certainly not as expert as Clinton and Panetta I do have a bit of knowledge about these kinds of situations. I was a member of the U S Army Special Forces from 1968 to 1971 so I do have the background to know how these kinds of problems are resolved. The two commanders replaced were doing what any decent commander would do, send help if possible.

The idea that we could not intervene in an attack that lasted for 7 hours is beyond preposterous. There is much that could have been done had the regime had the desire to save those who were killed. The two Navy Seals that died disobeyed orders to help. One had a laser designator “painting” a mortar crew firing on the compound. I know enough about special operations to know he would never “lase” a target if he knew there were no assets available.

I served long before laser designators were available but I know a little something about protective air strikes. Calling in air strikes in my day was a bit more precarious. The forward air controller, flying a propeller airplane, would come in low and slow (at low altitude and minimum speed) to find us. We would pop a smoke grenade to show him our position. He would then direct the “fast movers”, the jet strike aircraft, where to “lay their eggs”. The FAC would give our position and an attack azimuth parallel to our position, the safest for the ground troops, for him to make his bomb or gun run.

I can’t imagine popping a smoke grenade without any assets on station. We would never do that and neither would Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty. These men were too highly trained to throw their lives away without any hope of air assets being available. For Panetta and Clinton to sit there and spout the excuses they spout is inexcusable, and in my mind, criminal actions.

The next people I would call in to testify would be those stationed at the embassy in Benghazi at the time of the attack. It is reported that thirty-two people were at the embassy when the attack took place. Where are they and why haven’t they been called to testify before Congress? I contend, and it is my firm belief, that neither political party wants to find the real answers to the questions that need answering. If the truth is known not only would Obama and his henchmen be found to be negligent but the chances are real high that members of Congress would also be found negligent. How many, and who, in Congress knew about the weapons being supplied to the Al Qaeda led “protestors”? The story being bandied about is that Ambassador Stevens was there trying to find sophisticated weapons, such as shoulder fired missiles, that had been given to the opponents of Muammar Gaddafi.

I doubt We the People will ever know the truth about Benghazi or the actions that led to the massacre that occurred there. Politicians are more interested in taking guns away from law abiding citizens in America than they are in finding out why four American citizens were slaughtered in Benghazi. I actually believe they know what happened and why, and therefore find it very easy to cover their butts and careers by whitewashing this as they do all other criminal actions of government.

The corruption in our federal government is so ingrained and so massive that if We the People were to ever find the truth it would lead to an uprising that would topple the tyrants running our nation. The dog and pony shows go on and nothing ever gets resolved. Just as in the Fast & Furious “investigation” no answers are ever given. The story eventually dies out and goes quietly into the night, never to be resolved, and those responsible for murders of countless innocents sliver back under their rocks without ever having to answer for their crimes. Congress can put Roger Clemmons in prison for lying about using performance enhancing drugs in sports but can’t find out anything about crimes committed by other politicians. Ain’t politics wonderful????

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

I attended a town hall meeting in Claremore on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 featuring Markwayne Mullin, the newly elected congressman from Oklahoma’s 2nd District. Some of his statements sounded strange coming from a “conservative” but one response to a question bothered me more than the rest.

A man asked Mullin about the executive orders being used by Barack Obama to by-pass Congress, and what can be done to nullify them. Mullin’s response was that the way to stop an EO was for the House to pass legislation nullifying the order, then send it to the Senate where Dingy Harry Reid would refuse to allow it to be heard. And even if it could be passed by the Senate it would have to go to Obama for his signature.

Mullin asked if anyone thought Obama would undo his own executive order by signing such a bill. And of course the answer is “NO”. His next comment astounded me. Mullin then said, to paraphrase, “what’s the point of going through all that when there is no chance of prevailing?”

Isn’t this just accepting business as usual and admitting he has no say in what goes on in Washington? Isn’t this the same point Hillary Clinton just made about Benghazi, that nothing matters? What difference does anything make in Washington? Why is Mullin there then? He might as well come home and run his plumbing business if he is that impotent in Congress. Why have any of them there if they can only follow the dictates of party “leadership”? Why not just let the Traitor John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Nancy Pelosi, Dingy Harry Reid, and Obama make all the decisions and save us the money we spend for Congress and their massive staffs?

I tire of hearing how spineless Republicans are powerless to make any changes in the way the establishment in both parties runs our nation as a dictatorial oligarchy. “We only have one half of one third of government” is the usual whine from Republicans who didn’t do anything to shrink government when they had total control. We the People are told almost daily that “that is how things work in Washington”. Even those we think are conservative don’t take long to tell us there is nothing that can be done to change government.
I wish Mullin would have told me this during the campaign. I might as well have helped his opposition in the primary run-off. I thought supporting George Faught in the Republican run-off would net me the words I am hearing now from the guy I supported and campaigned for.

How are We the People ever going to get the Bald Eagle back as the symbol of the greatest nation in history with this kind of mealy-mouthed garbage coming from those we elect to public office? Party loyalty trumps loyalty to the Constitution and We the People every time it seems.

I like Mullin, as I got to know him during the campaign, but I hear the same bird crap I heard from his predecessor, Democrat Dan Boren. We change birds in Congress but find the same bird crap falling on our heads after changing the breed of birds.

The problem with changing which party is in control of government is that there isn’t any distinguishable difference in the political parties today. When you look at a pile of horse manure how do you tell if it came from a Republican horse or a Democrat horse? I have often written that John F. Kennedy could not win the nomination for president in the Republican Party today because he would be too conservative. That is a sad state of affairs.

This week Marco Rubio, the non-natural born citizen and presumptive Republican nominee for the 2016 presidential election, became the poster child for the newest “latest and greatest” amnesty scam being foisted upon We the People by the Republican Party establishment. It seems “expanding the Republican tent” means making room for every group but those who have supported the party low these many years since Reagan, the last conservative to sit in the White House. Will Mullin, when faced with voting for amnesty, tell us once again “that is how things are done in Washington” and go on to explain how powerless he is?

The Globalist Oligarchy Party (GOP) has abandoned everything it used to stand for and now embraces the same policies as the Marxist dominated Democrat Party. Liberty is dying in America and there are so few in government willing to stand up for the Constitution and We the People. Unfortunately, Oklahoma is not very well represented in Washington, D. C. (De Cesspool). Five of our six Republican congressmen voted to put the Traitor John Boehner back in the Speaker’s chair in spite of overwhelming opposition to Boehner by We the People of the state.

Changing party affiliation doesn’t change the crap being dropped on our heads so what is the answer? I am looking for the people with the courage to step up and represent my conservative views in government and it won’t happen until we get a 3rd party. True conservatives in both political parties need to leave their bird nest and do something that will benefit America not just their particular set of special interest groups. I though Mullin was one of those but he is proving me wrong.

Chances are you haven’t heard (and won’t hear) about this Federal report from the Liberal media.

Two days ago the non-partisan Government Accountability Office (GAO) released its Annual Audit of the United States Government for fiscal years 2011 – 2012. The government’s own conclusion is this:

“… Absent policy changes – the Federal Government continues to face an unsustainable fiscal path.” (Minute 00:35)

That means – if the Federal Government does not stop the wild spending – the U.S. dollar will collapse.

This is like telling people on a beach, “Hey, a tsunami is coming and if you don’t move you will be killed.”

But the beach folks say, “I like it here, I’m not moving,” and eventually the wave comes in and kills them.

That’s exactly what’s happening now.

We The People are allowing this.

Only We can change this.

The best Talking Points I’ve heard in a long time:

Sanford, became a household name when, as governor, he disappeared from the state for nearly a week. On his return, it was discovered that the married governor, had left the country to visit his new paramour in Argentina. Even in complete disgrace Sanford refused to resign his position instead choosing to speaking publicly, and continuously, of his new found soul mate…the woman who was not his wife.

Today, the divorced, but newly engaged Sanford wants to rehabilitate his image by returning to politics. Rollcall says his name recognition gives him immediate front runner status.

Here’s hoping the people of South Carolina look beyond the political image portrayed by his election campaign staff. Surely, there is a candidate whose face did not grace the cover of National Enquirer and who does espouse conservative values who can better represent the people of the state. Republicans…and the state of South Carolina…do not need a candidate who is immediate fodder for late night television comedians.
