Believe it or not! There are pro gun celebrities

Celebrities support gun rights

While California is decidedly lost to the progressive left and Hollywood has been long thought to be 100% anti gun, there are real heroes in the celebrity elite.

While most Conservatives could care less what celebs think about the constitution, we should. Why do you think liberals have pranced the unthinking stars and starlets out in front of the media to enhance the progressive agenda? Well, because exposure works and there is no such thing as bad press.

The notably pro gun are truly .. notable.

467px-Brad_Pitt_Inglorious_Basterds_Berlin_premiereBrad Pitt was interviewed by British Magazine where he said, “I feel better having a gun.”

Chuck Norris is a no-brainer. Constitutional rights ads, outspoken positions and … well, he’s Chuck Norris.

An obvious pick for the celeb-de-arm is Uncle Ted. Ted Nugent is a mighty supporter of gun rights, the second amendment and liberties overall.

Country Western diva Miranda Lambert carries regularly after having received serious death threats. As she puts it, “I am my own security.”

Die Hard’s Bruce Willis also understands how firearms restrictions work as he says. “If you take guns away from legal gun aowners, then the only people who have guns are the bad guys.”

Angelina Jolie has her own shooting range and told The Daily Mail, “If anybody comes into my home and tries to hurt my kids, I’ve no problem shooting them.” Exactly the sentiment expressed by everyday gun owners.

You see, gun ownership isn’t just about hunting or collecting. Most own for defensive purposes. Aggressors typically have numerical, age or strength advantages. A firearm evens the playing field, to use an Obama term, for everyone.

Aerosmith’s Joe Perry said, “I grew up in America so granted, it is part of our heritage and it is written into the laws of how this country is run.”

Hollywood supports gun rightsClint Eastwood is an obvious addition to the list. Quoting a famous gun rights saying, Clint said, “I have a very strict gun control policy: if there’s a gun around, I want to be in control of it.”

James Earl Jones put the base gun right’s argument into succinct terms:

“The world is filled with violence. Because criminals carry guns, we decent law-abiding citizens should also have guns. Otherwise they will win and the decent people will lose.”

Celebrities and what REALLY matters in America

For those of you who had either followed my blog for some time or who are new, permit me to explain why I first started blogging. The year was 2005. I was on the internet reading a few articles when my mom and uncle were talking about Martha Stewart and her release from prison. Mom had asked me for my opinion on it. A couple of days later, I was watching the news and all that the pundits and reporters could talk about was Martha Stewart. What infuriated me was not the fact that they talked about her release but that they kept at it for 5 solid hours. In fact, I was so infuriated that I had started a blog and led off with it.

And now here we are, seven years later and yet we have another celebrity making news constantly. This time it is Whitney Houston and her death. Granted, she was a good singer and everything, but I just have one question to ask everyone. What effect does she have on your life, liberty, or property? I mean, we have a Republic to save from Obama and a deficit to clear up. Right now more people are worried about American Idol, Justin Bieber, and what is on Extra or Entertainment Tonight than things that TRULY matter. If I am not mistaken this is how Rome fell. People were worried about the sporting events or the plays that they did not see the Empire falling from within until it was too late. 2010 was a wake-up call for us to take our Republic back, and if we learned anything from the CPAC meetings of last week, it is that this year we need to do whatever we can to ensure that Barack Obama and the Democrats do not maintain control of the government.

Michael Jordan's 'Hitler' Mustache

I thought I might be the only one to have noticed this; alas, in today’s interconnected world someone else had not only noticed it but posted it with a helpful little circle and sound effect.

Now I truly enjoyed watching Jordan’s basketball career (except when he was demolishing the Lakers) and what he’s done afterward has been fairly remarkable as well, but perhaps someone could have approached him to discuss the diabolical historical reference his shaving habits would call up.

I’ll confess here and now to having shaved my facial hair into that pattern just so that I could look into the mirror and see how truly stupid it looked and then finish the job of cleaning my upper lip. Leaving my shower looking like that, and even more amazingly, appearing in a National Television Commercial for Hane’s Underwear looking like that would NEVER occur to me.

I’m amazed that no one at Hane’s had the presence of mind to say something.  It’s not easy to correct someone who is more powerful & influential than you, but someone should have stepped up because it’s just stupid and tasteless.
