Newsman leaves crucial detail out of burglary account

Somehow, Dan Rather is still able to find an audience despite his very public ouster from CBS in 2004 after reporting falsified and unsubstantiated information about President George W. Bush.

Of course, his audience has been decreased exponentially, but the holdover from a bygone generation of news anchors continues to exercise his First Amendment rights via his own virtually unwatched program and as a guest on other leftist news networks.

Appearing on the Rachel Maddow Show recently, Rather was able to reach an audience likely in double digits. Unsurprisingly, he used the opportunity to decry Republican administrations of yore.

As three major scandals converge on the White House, MSNBC remained true to form and the conversation between Maddow and Rather naturally navigated toward the topic of Richard Nixon.

Rather shared the personal account of a residential burglary he said was the work of  “the notorious plumbers’ operation,” referring to the group Nixon used to halt White House information leaks.

“It was a long time figuring out who did it,” he said, adding, “this became common during the Nixon administration.”

His nostalgia was uneventful by MSNBC standards, though one detail included in his autobiographical account of the story was suspiciously missing from his on air narrative. In his memoirs, Rather claimed he “did what any Texan would do,” describing that he “made sure the family was safe, then grabbed the shotgun.”

I must admit I’m surprised the detail about a gun even made it into his book, but he described the incident in detail through the written word. On camera, though, looking into the wild eyes of Rachel Maddow, Rather neglected to mention that he pointed a loaded and chambered shotgun at a group of what he later learned were GOP operatives.

Honestly, that might be the one target for which Maddow and her deranged audience feel gunfire is warranted.

CBS Charlie Rose: The Republicans Have a Point???

cbs this morning

CBS political director John Dickerson was interviewed by Charlie Rose on CBS This Morning about the impact of sequestration cuts. Watch for Rose’s shocked expression when he realizes that Dickerson is saying the Republicans have a point about allowing departments to have flexibility where they make these cuts (about 50 seconds).

This just tosses the Democrats’ argument that we need to raise taxes. Darn those Republicans for saying we can be smart about where spending cuts can be most effective and have least impact on citizens.

Come to think of it, this is how most of us actually manage to live within our own budgets.

Rubio on CBS: Hey, I Wasn’t Even Around for DADT…

senator rubioIn a follow up interview from his Republican Response speech, Marco Rubio had an opportunity to explain further some of his personal positions. In this CBS Morning clip the senator acknowledges that he, like many, agree with some of the president’s comments from the State of the Union address, including finding actual solutions for gun violence. However, he noted strong disagreement with many of the president’s proposals particularly raising the minimum wage.

On a personal note, I had to chuckle when Rubio took Norah O’Donnell to task after her criticisms were shown to be without merit. Maybe Ms. O’Donnell will get her facts straight next time.

And yes, the senator did laugh at his awkward water moment.

How the left uses identity politics and fear tactics to influence voters

sodahead.comAlthough Barack Obama’s inauguration was a few weeks ago this article will still touch on some of the language he spoke as well as the meaning behind his words. I will also explain in great detail how the left uses identity politics to influence certain voters and alienate others.

Language can be a great indicator of future behavior. Barack Obama’s second inaugural speech revealed many clues that not only showed how this man thinks, but more importantly how he will likely continue to govern.

What many Americans heard in his speech was something very unfamiliar and foreign to most of our listening ears. What we heard was a heavy dose of identity politics. We heard words like fair play, central authority, and collective action. He spoke about the government as if it was the solution to every one of America’s problems. In fact, Barack Obama did not even utter the words private sector once in his entire speech!

The words he chose were carefully selected and designed to influence certain voters. They were divisive and dismissive. They were meant to divide an already divided nation instead of trying to bring us together. His words were alienating, meandering, and apoplectic in nature. Barack Obama tried to walk the political tightrope between policy and ideology and failed miserably at doing both. Almost his entire speech was narrowly directed towards his base of supporters instead of the nation as a whole. His weapon of choice: using identity politics as a weapon of mass distortion.

For the first time in our nation’s history a president mentioned his support for Gay Marriage in an inaugural speech. This shows that discussing Gay Marriage is no longer the politically dangerous subject it used to be; and shows just how far to the left our country has moved on most social issues.

Identity politics has become the Democratic Party’s number one weapon in their arsenal of political warfare. The left has mastered the art of message manipulation and cultural relativism in such a way that it has become the biggest obstacle for the right to overcome.

Barack Obama deliberately spoke about issues that divide us rather than unite us. He spoke of Gay Marriage, Women’s Suffrage, and Illegal Immigration; all wedge issues. When something repeatedly works in politics it becomes a political weapon. Barack Obama was able to win reelection using identity politics to perfection so why would he stop now?

What was so striking about his speech was not only his tone and demeanor, but his confrontational style and in your face liberalism as well. He spoke as if he was daring anyone on the right to challenge his authority while confidently playing the role of the transformational figure with an arrogance and smugness reserved only for a king.

Let’s breakdown some examples of identity politics used in his speech.

In the 16th minute Barack Obama said this, “Being true to our founding documents does not require us to agree on every contour of life. We don’t define liberty all in the same way.”

Translation: We can interpret the Constitution however we see fit. My Administration will redefine what liberty means so it fits my agenda.

In the 20th minute Barack Obama goes on to say this, “Progress does not compel us to settle century’s long role of government for all time. But it does require us to act in our time.”

Translation: The United States Constitution is not settled law. It is a living, breathing, document that is inherently racist and therefore needs to be changed; and I will change it. Besides, who could possibly be better at finding ways to misinterpret and circumvent the Constitution than a Constitutional scholar?

History has shown us that all great leftist leaders have an incredible ability to capture the hearts and minds of their people. They use their lofty speeches and idealistic platforms to mesmerize voters into thinking that they and only they are the key to a brighter future and a better tomorrow. It is for this simple reason that the language of the left sounds better to most voters than the language of the right.

Most Americans who are not paying attention would rather listen to a speech on the possibilities of a better future rather than someone who is only promising the opportunity and means for that individual to better their own future. That is why a speech on preserving America’s traditions is not as appealing to most uninformed voters as a speech about reshaping America’s future.

Let’s break it down even further.

Identity Politics works because it feeds off of emotion. One of the most powerful emotions is fear. People can be driven to make decisions based on two motivating factors; a hope for gain or a fear of loss. The left understands this and uses that fear of loss against Republicans to perfection. Taking away a woman’s right to choose, or an illegal alien worried about deportation are all examples of how the left uses fear of loss tactics. This is why more women and minorities vote for the Democratic Party.

The left has perfected the fear of loss strategy and has been able to successfully alienate these voters away from the Republican Party while simultaneously solidifying their base of support. The truth is that political warfare and psychological warfare go hand in hand and the left understands this completely.

When it comes to fighting back against identity politics the Republican Party is at a huge disadvantage. The Democratic Party has 90% of the media and almost 100% of Hollywood at their disposal ready to smear and besmirch conservatives at any given moment. From ABC, CBS, and NBC on regular television, to HBO, SHOWTIME, and CINEMAX on cable, the left is never without a platform to ingratiate their ideology into the subconscious minds of millions of unsuspecting viewers. The left uses the media and Hollywood to portray conservatives as the party of the past, out of touch, and obstructionists to a brighter future.

The truth is in order to show the potentialities of a brighter future we must first resuscitate the visions of a better past. A government of the people, by the people, and for the people is not just a fancy cliché. It is a god given right and a blueprint for everlasting freedom.

The left does not believe in liberty for all; the left believes in justice for a select few. We are on an unsustainable path filled with uncertainty and doubt. For the first time in a long time the next generation in America is projected to be less successful than previous generations and we have Barack Obama, the Democratic Party, and identity politics to thank.

Where:    Married to the Game with @AiPolitics on BlogTalkRadio

Topics to be discussed:   Tonight, we’ll be debuting a new segment called “Banned Arguments”, we’ll discuss how Liberal policies actually hurt “the little guy”, and we’ll tell you about some interesting practices going on over at CBS Broadcasting.  (why won’t they advertise Soda Stream?)

SOPA/PIPA: “Fairness Doctrine” Tyranny Coming In The Back Door

SOPA/PIPA is another case of government control over what We the People will be allowed to see or hear on the internet. The “Fairness Doctrine” was thwarted by We the People through the outrage expressed to our elected members of Congress, ironically over the internet for the most part, so they have seemingly decided to come in the back door and “protect” us from unscrupulous vendors. That is great to a point but who is going to protect us from the government? Barack Obama and many members of both political parties consider We the People too stupid to know what is in our best interests.

Instead of going after the ISP’s and search engine companies like Google, why don’t they try a novel approach, something that has never been done in modern history? Why not enforce the laws on the books against fraud? I guess that is much too difficult of a concept for politicians to grasp.

This reminds me of gun violence. How do we solve the problem of violent crimes committed with guns? Someone with my apparent lack of intelligence would suggest we imprison the criminals with very long sentences, or just execute them when the crime calls for such punishment. What is the answer the government comes up with? Well, let’s just take guns away from those not committing crimes so we don’t have to be concerned with them killing the criminals. And when government bureaucrats violate the existing gun laws we can promote them and then use those violations as an excuse to continue on our merry gun ban crusade.

These bills aren’t about protecting We the People or legitimate businesses from criminal activity. That can be done by enforcing existing law. This is about controlling what we see, what we hear, and how citizens communicate with one another. The “Arab Spring” came about as a result of dissidents communicating over the internet through social network sites, instant messaging, and texting. The powers-that-be in our government have seen what can happen when people communicate freely and share information. Open lines of communication are a danger to despots and every dictatorship in the world controls the internet access of their subjects.

I remember Obama giving a speech at a college in which he stated that “information is dangerous”. I have always been taught that information and knowledge are invaluable tools to make our lives better. It seems that Obama and most of the members of Congress weren’t taught the same lessons in their younger years. If they manage to get this legislation through they will be able to control everything that crosses our computers.

As the “Fairness Doctrine” sought to control us and make sure we were exposed to Marxist doctrine, this legislation will be used to prevent We the People from having free access to each other and to the information we need to make decisions beneficial to our lives. We will no longer be able to thwart tyrannical legislation, or regulations dictated by bureaucrats, because we will not know about them unless the government deems them safe for public consumption.

I am not surprised to find out that the biggest proponents of this legislation are the major television networks, and include Rupert Murdoch, owner of FOX News. Why would the owner of a “conservative” news network want to prohibit the free flow of information? Shouldn’t FOX News and its owner be in favor of freedom of the press? I guess the reality that they are losing millions of viewers because they don’t tell the truth, don’t tell the whole story on issues, and ignore any story that doesn’t fit their template has alarmed them to the point that it needs to be acted upon.

Internet news sites such as Conservative Daily News, The Drudge Report, The Post & E-mail, and social network sites pass information much faster, more efficiently, and more completely than any or all of the major media networks. With the advent of internet news the major media companies can no longer slant the news to suit their Marxist ideology, nor can the ignore news that is not to their liking or doesn’t fit their agenda.

The free flow of information is critical to any free society. Once a government controls what information citizens have access to tyranny is right around the corner. Iran, China, North Korea, Cuba, and Venezuela are all dictatorships that keep their citizens enslaved and in darkness by keeping them from the knowledge of how the rest of the world operates. After the uprisings in 2009 Iran clamped down on social network media to prevent dissidents from organizing more protests and other dictatorships have long been bastions of tyranny by preventing any citizen contact with the outside world, or each other.

Obama and his minions have seen what happens to dictators who allow the free flow of information to their subjects. Hosni Mubarak in Egypt and Muammar Kadafi in Libya are prime examples of what happens when dictators allow their subjects to communicate without restrictions. I am curious to see what the future brings to these countries when the Muslim Brotherhood takes over and installs the tyranny of Sharia law on their people. Those who took to the streets for freedom may find themselves under the thumb of rulers just as brutal as those they overthrew in the “Arab Spring” uprisings.

Iran is a good example of an uprising that came about because of internet access and how the government acted to prevent it from happening again. Outside contact has been as restricted by Mahmoud Ahmadinijad and the mullahs as it can be and severe punishment awaits anyone caught communicating without government sanction. The very rulers who turned their backs on freedom seeking Iranians in 2009 now seek to impose the very same restrictions on their subjects, namely We the American People.

This legislation, as usual, is not a partisan attempt at subjugation. This legislation is supported by many members of Congress in both political parties, and who I suspect have no idea what is in the bills. Since they don’t have time to read anything they vote on it is incumbent on We the People to find out what is in the legislation and spread the word of warning through internet news and social network sites.

We must stand up once again to protect the freedoms bought with the blood of generations of patriots from the Revolutionary War to today. If we do not have the courage to stand for freedom, the blood of hundreds of thousands of patriots since 1776 will have been wasted and future generations will be sentenced to a life tyranny, suffering, and poverty. To this cause I pledge “my life, my fortune, and my sacred honor”; to the cause of freedom for future generations. Every American owes their utmost opposition to this legislation in honor of those who have gone before us and for the freedom of those who will follow us.

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility given to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

Bachmann Campaign Releases CBS Email Indicating Bias at Debate

An email was inadvertently sent to the communications director of Michele Bachman’s campaign from CBS news that indicates that Bachmann was going to be officially minimized in the debate.

The email is actually a discussion of Rep. Bachmann’s possible appearance on a web show with John Dickerson and crew. John’s response demonstrates what all debate watchers have known – if you aren’t in the top 3 or 4 candidates, you aren’t going to get many questions. (click on email for larger version)

It isn’t news that the debate moderators ignore candidates that are faltering in the polls – but it is news when they decide to email the struggling candidate and tell them about it.

Oh, and Caroline, if you need a job, I am looking for someone to book guests. It wasn’t your fault John Dickerson failed to actually READ the part where you told him that you had cc’d Alice Stewart from Bachmann’s campaign.

John.. don’t bother.

Hilarious Moment At CBS Debate: Rick Perry References His "Oops" Moment

I tell you what, the “relaxed” Perry isn’t all that bad.  Here he is at Saturday’s CBS debate referencing his “oops” moment from earlier in the week (at the CNBC debate)

The difference between “stiff” Perry and “relaxed” Perry is night and day.  I’m not saying that this funnier side makes him qualified to be commander in chief, but you’ve got to admit, if he’d been this affable the whole time, then maybe his numbers wouldn’t have sunk so low.

What do you guys think?  Has he recovered from his “oops” moment, or should Perry just drop out and stop embarrassing himself.  Let us know in the comments below.

Andy Rooney Has Died At The Age Of 92

Sadly mirroring the final days of Steve Jobs, Andy Rooney has also died shortly after resigning from a post that made him famous.  Below is an excerpt from CBS news.

(CBS News)

Andy Rooney, the “60 Minutes” commentator known to generations for his wry, humorous and contentious television essays – a unique genre he is credited with inventing – died today. He was 92 and had homes in New York City, Rensseleaerville, N.Y. and Rowayton, Conn.

Rooney had announced on Oct. 2, 2011 in his 1097th essay for “60 Minutes” that he would no longer appear regularly.

You can find the rest of the CBS piece here.  Andy Rooney was one of television’s longest running commentators; he will be missed.

Nancy Pelosi Tells Bob Schieffer Unemployment is Boehner’s Fault

After years of softball interviews by the main stream media, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had to deal with real questions and actual journalism when Bob Schieffer asked her about the economy yesterday on CBS’ Face the Nation. Pelosi was all too ready to blame Republicans for not saving the economy after only 5 months holding the majority. Nancy took no blame for creating the mess even though she and Democrats had been setting the agenda in the House of Representatives for much longer. If this is a new wave of actual journalism, the 2012 election season will be harder for the Democrats than they could have possibly imagined.

CBS and Time Already on Hope N Change Redux 2012 Obama Campaign

The 2012 Presidential elections are  20 months away, and while we see our Congress locked in a massive budget brawl that looks like it will end up in a government shutdown later on this week, CBS followed Obama’s early campaign announcement lead by starting their own version of Barack’s get out the vote campaign immediately, with the following false headline posed as an honest question:

”  How Good are Obama’s re-election chances ? “   I suppose working on Obama’s re-election campaign is the utmost priority over at CBS and Time, considering the fact that they both spent the bulk of their airtime/ print space promoting him in 2008.  In reading this campaign ad, er.. I mean article, I was hoping to find signs that CBS might actually see the danger Obama and the democrats pose today to everything American, and come to their senses. As you can see here from the above linked article, CBS and Time are already trying to make Americans believe that no matter who runs against him in 2012, Barack will win a second term:

” So it’s a good time to ask: how good are his chances – at the moment, at least – to win a second term? The short answer is: Pretty decent.”  And as Time’s Michael Scherer notes, even those who disagree with Mr. Obama tend to like him – a crucial factor in winning the independents who broke from the Democrats in the 2010 midterm elections. The fact that 84 percent of Americans (according to an Associated Press poll last month) call Mr. Obama a likeable person speaks to his advantage among the casual voters who may not go to the polls in a midterm year but will cast ballots in 2012.” (emphasis mine)

This is why I personally, do not take anything Time, CBS, and the AP say/print/report today seriously.  America is approaching $15 trillion dollars in debt, gasoline prices are now at $3.65 a gallon (as opposed to $1.84  when Obama took office), food prices are skyrocketing, federal revenue is shrinking ,with the fact that they are lying to themselves about the Unemployment numbers today and that will expose this very soon, we are now engaged in a 3rd war in Libya that has already cost us $600 million dollars, and CBS and Time want us to think that Obama will be re-elected because he is likeable ?  That is not news reporting there, that is campaign propaganda, period.

That CBS/Time Obama campaign ad masquerading as a news piece also goes on to try to make it look like the Teaparty/GOP split will make the primaries such a difficult battle that it will alienate the swing voters, thus enabling Barack to win a second term. They are trying to suggest that swing voters will ignore the $15 trillion dollars in debt that Obama’s Liberal Democrats are refusing to take action on in passing the GOP proposed serious budget cuts, and re-elect the man who directs those actions?  These people are in for a rude awakening in 2012 that will make the 2010 election beatdown of the Democrat’s Liberal Socialist agenda pale in comparison.

Clinton/Gates Prep Nation for Obama’s Libya Spin Tonight: Fox left out again

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates made the rounds on the Sunday talk show circuit in a seemingly weak attempt to explain to the nation our unexplained involvement in the Libyan Civil War of 2011.  Let’s see here, they were on ABC’s ” This Week, ” NBC’s ” Meet the Press ,” and CBS’s ” Face the Nation. ”  Wait a minute, isn’t there a Sunday show on Fox ? Isn’t our Government supposed to be accessible to all major media networks ?  Then why would they refuse to go on Chris Wallace’s ” Fox News Sunday ” show ?

To say the least, Chris Wallace was somewhat surprised at the blatant unfairness in the Obama administration’s decision in not making Clinton/Gates available to ” Fox News Sunday, ” and its millions of viewers.  I personally caught the slight right away, and refused to give my viewership stat to the MSM Obama puppet propagandist stations, instead I was relegated to reading about it on the internet. However I did catch the following video clip from Fox News, explaining it :

This is typical of the Obama administrations pattern of picking and chosing  just who gets access to the important governmental officials of the last two years. How the entire American population can sit around criticizing other nation’s dictatorial treatment of the press, while allowing this kind of  denial of access to Fox News is beyond rationalizing. This also goes against the promise that this administration will be the most open and transparent in our history. Apparently that open government, now means open, only to those who fail to hold this administration’s feet to the fire for engaging in an illegal war in Libya without the permission of Congress. Open only to those who get all tingly when Obama speaks, while ignoring the blatant lies and misinformation coming out of the Whitehouse today.

These kinds of  pathetic manipulations of our media should not only be condemned by all Americans today, but also by the cronies that Obama is favoring here. Think about this after we take over the U.S. Senate and Whitehouse in 2012:  How about our new Republican President denying all the Obama media puppets access to anyone in our government for four straight years and only letting them go on Fox News ?  Maybe we will let  ABC, CBS, and NBC show reruns of all the Fox News  Sunday interviews during the following week, when it is already yesterday’s news. Think about that.

CPAC 2011 Rocks on Day 2

Many big name conservative stars hit the stage for day 2 at the Conservative political Action Conference of 2011. With the rowdy applause and cheering reminiscent of a 70’s rock concert, the enthusiasm was pumped up to incredible levels by a wide variety of solid, hard-hitting, Patriotic speeches. While the messages contained the basic conservative Teaparty theme of smaller, more accountable government, less taxes and regulation, with a return to our Constitutional principles, we learned that these messages could be expressed in an amazingly wide variety of ways.

Day 2 saw the emergence of  idiotic attention seekers such as a Sarah Palin look alike and the asinine antics of an appearance of Jimmy McMillan of the Rent is Too Damn High Party.  CBS was even foolish enough to headline it “Jimmy McMillan Takes CPAC by Storm.” I will not link to the  CBS attack piece on all things conservative by one Brian Montopoli, as it is nothing short of childish liberal rubbish and not even close to real journalism. This does show how low CBS will go today in promoting the Obama-led Liberal trashing of America. Just when I thought they couldn’t get any lower in the respect department, they did.

Once again we saw hecklers seeking their 15 seconds of fame when Senator Orin Hatch was decent enough to answer questions. While one person asked the question of why Hatch voted for the wall street bailouts, the crowd rudely screamed and would hardly let Hatch even answer the question. Again, these people are an embarrassment to all conservatives across the nation, not to mention the fuel they will add to the Liberal attack pieces sure to point out their childish antics. If we want our reps to answer questions to get an insight of why they did something, this is no way to go about it. Plus, this will also make them hesitant to take the stage next year. It got so bad at one point that the panel’s moderator had to step in  and express his disgust with these people who seemed more intent on scolding and screaming at  Senator Hatch, then letting him explain his position at the time of his vote for the bailouts. He apologized for it, yet they continued to act more like SEIU thugs than conservatives or teapartiers.

Day 2 at CPAC was launched by another Presidential hopeful in 2012, Mitt Romney. While his speech did contain an all encompassing rally against the Liberal big government of today, he seems to have skirted the Obamacare debate all together. Many consider him unelectable due to his creation of the failed Romneycare of Massachusetts. Compared to the rest of the firey speeches to come on Friday, Romney’s speech was pretty much forgotten an hour after it was given.

Rep. Tom Price (GA) took the stage at 11;15. Mr. Price said that there was an energy at this year’s CPAC that he didn’t remember being their last year. Most of that energy was good. Mr. Price mentioned the nasty heckling that Cheney, Rumsfeld and Hatch endured in stating, “That’s part of CPAC, isn’t it?”  Why can’t we all just get along may have been a more appropriate question there. Mr. Price addressed the gay conservative group GOProud being at CPAC  as the more conservatives the better. Rep Prices speech seemed to be well-written, with a theme he summed up with a quote from Samuel Adams. ”  It doesn’t take a majority to prevail – but an irate and tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.” With statements like that Rep Price has certainly aligned himself with the grassroots Teaparty of America.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (TN) used her time at CPAC to concentrate on the FCC and their attempt at regulating the internet with no Congressional participation. While her speech detailed the need to stop the FCC,  she largely ignored the many pressing issues the 112th Congress is facing today, such as raising the debt ceiling, Obmacare repeal, Patriot act extensions etc. While I enjoyed her speech, my research showed her to have voted for many Liberal big gov’t policies such as increased foreign aid, increased UN payments, and pretty much increased spending across the board. No wonder she ignored the issues that have led to 14 trillion in debt today. She has voted to increase that debt at every turn. Do you hear me Teaparty members and conservatives from Tennessee? How did this big spending, big government RINO get invited to the CPAC ?

At noon on Friday they gave out an award for the Conservative blogger of the year. It went to Mr. Javier Manjarres of  The Shark Tank, which happens to be here in my Florida and to which get daily updates from. I have to be honest here, in stating that I know of no less than 30 more qualified conservative bloggers who were more deserving of this award, IMO. Who voted for this ?

Next to speak on Friday at CPAC 2011 was Sen. John Barrasso (WY) who also happens to be a doctor. His main topic was Obamacare and he addressed it’s failures and unconstitutionality very well. Sen. Barrasso gave us a Doctors perspective as to why Obamacare must be repealed, filled with many real life examples of the coming danger to America’s healthcare system that Obamacare will bring. Of note, Barrasso said the new House Republican majority had “kept its promise” to voters by advancing a repeal of the healthcare law. “Now it’s the Senate’s turn,” he said.  In my opinion, this is one Senator who might make a good President if he chose to run.

Next to speak was my pick for President in 2012, Sen. John Thune. (SD)  In his low-key speaking style, Sen Thune took a big swipe at the Obama administration and big government Liberals with the statement of, “”President Obama likes to talk about winning the future, but someone ought to tell him: You can’t win the prosperity of tomorrow if you’re mortgaging it to pay for the big government programs of today.”  That sums it up very well, in my opinion. No one candidate will be perfect in 2012, yet i will put Sen. Thune’s record of staunch conservative principals against any other candidate mentioned today.

Later on , former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty also received a rousing ovation when he took the stage. Take note that at this time it was reported that many Ron Paul supporters had entered, and I addressed some of their rude behavior in my Day 1 report here at CDN.  Pawlenty captured the audience with personal stories of his life and growing up in St Paul in a blue collar family that endured many hardships, including losing his mother while a teenager. He summed it all up in saying, “”At a young age, I saw up close the face of loss, the face of hardship, the face of losing a job and I saw in the mirror something else: the face of a very uncertain future,” he said. “I know Americans are feeling that way today. I know that feeling ? I’ve lived it.” Mr. Pawlenty certainly has to be appealing to grassroots conservative voters disgusted with out elitist, out of touch government of today.

Next up came Libertarian and former presidential candidate, Rep.. Ron Paul (TX). While most conservative Americans can agree with many parts of Ron Paul’s libertarian values, we all know he is as Donald Trump stated, “unelectable.” Maybe that was at the heart of the Paul supporters rudeness at CPAC this year. I have admired Paul’s firey speeches for many years and he usually makes a solid presentation of his views of how America should be. While he did that again this year, there was also something else evident in his speech: He either has some serious health issues or he appears to becoming mentally unstable at times, or both. Watch his speech and judge for yourself.  I mean no disrespect to Mr. Paul and his many years of serving our country here, but when we see signs of instability in someone,  especially a member of our government or congress, its high time we speak up and make arrangements to have them removed for the good of the country.

After Ron Paul’s speech came what I viewed as the best speech of the CPAC so far, from Texas Governor Rick Perry. It was very emotional, yet delivered in a way that  has to vault him to the top of possible 2012 presidential candidates, should he chose to run. This was an amazing conservative shout-out to all Americans opposed to the Liberal mess of a government we have today. Gov. Perry threw the crowd a curve-ball when he asked them to pull out their phones and text “FED UP” to the number he gave them. A return text from the number asks supporters to visit www.NoGovernmentBailouts.com, which features a petition to stop the “pervasive embrace of bailouts.”  A smooth move by Gov. Perry to get more people involved in stopping  the big gov’t expansion we see today. Gov. Perry closed his speech with the statement,  “We can restore this nation to its preeminence in the world. There is no other greater cause in our time.” Well said Governor, now about 2012………

Herman Cain, former Godfathers Pizza CEO, a Teaparty favorite and potential presidential candidate in 2012 was up next, and he fired up the crowd with his hard-hitting unique style of telling it like it is. The crowd roared when Mr. Cain said, “the American Dream is under attack,” and that “stupid people are ruining America.” As they say, sometimes the truth hurts people, and Herman certainly put a hurting on the ignorants running our country into the ground up in DC today. I love this guy’s attitude and approach towards the need  for real tough conservatism today. Cain’s speech included a swipe at liberals playing the racist card saying,  “They call me racist too just because I disagree with a President who happens to be black,” he continued. He told the crowd: “You are not racists — you are patriots.” Mr Cain concluded, to a standing ovation: “The United States of America will not become the United States of Europe.” This man is the exact opposite of Barack Obama. He is a successful businessman, not a career rabble rousing community organizer who needs to play the race card to hide his incompetence as Obama has shown to be. Mr. Cain believes in the U. S constitution, which Obama skirts and ignores at every chance he gets today. Mr. Cain relishes the chance to talk and answer questions about the direction our country is headed and possible solutions. Barack Husein Obama hides like a Tyrant and avoids the very people he is supposed to serve when they demand answers for his blatant Anti-American policies . Yes sir, Herman Cain is the Anti-Obama. He will definitely make the primaries in 2012 very interesting to say the least. I would love to see a debate, moderated by a Teaparty member with no pre-set questions between Herman and every single one of the RINO pretenders in 2012.

CPAC 2011 was certainly rocking on Friday!   Saturday should be very interesting with Andrew Breitbart, Haley Barbour, David Horowitz, John Bolton, Jonah Goldberg, Ann Coulter, and Lt Col. Allen West among the speakers scheduled.

Activist Judges: A Closer look.

Last week, when  Florida’s Judge Vinson shredded President Obama’s vaunted Socialized Medicine Healthcare Law, he was called an “Activist Judge.”  The Obama administration was caught in a shell game when they originally campaigned to create Obamacare, as it is widely known. They called the mandated fees for Obamacare taxes at one point, and later on argued that it wasn’t a tax. Tax or no tax, fees or mandated charges, you cannot, and never will be allowed to force the American people to buy a service or product, especially one cooked up by Rule of law/Constitution- ignoring Liberals. At the root of it all is the Unconstitutionality of  forcing Americans to purchase any product, whether it be the favored Che and Mao t-shirts the radical leftists are so proud to wear, or Healthcare insurance. Judge Vinson did his homework, before this ruling and did it well. He  did not take this responsibility lightly as he stated after his ruling that said the individual mandate in Obamacare is illegal , and since that becomes null and void, the whole Socialized Medicine house of cards comes tumbling down with it. Here is his Judge Vinson’s statement:

““Because the individual mandate is unconstitutional and not severable, the entire Act must be declared void. This has been a difficult decision to reach, and I am aware that it will have indeterminable implications,” Vinson writes.

As many expected this will go to the Supreme Court of the United States to be decided. Judge Vinson made a very calculated and clear ruling on forcing Americans to buy Government run healthcare insurance: It is against The Rule of Law. While Judge Vinson has a very long  history of fair and just interpretations of U.S  laws and our Constitutional rights and protections, parts of our society, and even our very own President came out and labeled this honorable protector of  all Americans and our freedoms as a “Political Activist Judge.”  That tactic is right out of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules For Radicals,” the companion booklet of  “The Communist Manifesto,” which teaches radicals how to overthrow a government to insert Socialism/Communism. Labeling Judge Vinson an Activist Judge right away to further promote Obamacare and Socialism in  America falls right under rule 13* from Mr. Alinsky:

“13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.  In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and ‘frozen.’…

“…any target can always say, ‘Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?’ When your ‘freeze the target,’ you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments…. Then, as you zero in and freeze your target and carry out your attack, all the ‘others’ come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible by their support of the target…’
“One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other.” (pps.127-134)”

So there we see the true reason Liberal Democrats, agenda-serving Leftits Media puppets, and even our very own President Barack Hussein Obama deemed it important to label this honorable Judge Vinson as some kind of extreme activist unworthy of the bench. Herr Goebbels, the Propaganda Minister of another era would be proud of this tactic. I find it disgusting and a serious offense to America and The Rule of law. Judge Vinson has no history of Judicial activism what-so-ever !

When looking for actual Activist Judges today, we need to look no further than the very controversial and radical 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. The Supreme Court just slapped down five of their misguided, illegal, radical activist-laden rulings in a row recently. As reported in an article over at FoxNews.com,** we see actual proof of Judicial activism:

“The Supreme Court may be sending a message to one of the country’s most liberal appeals courts, unanimously overturning five consecutive cases out of the 9th Circuit in less than a week”

“That’s an indication this court is way out of the mainstream,” said Kent Scheidegger, legal director for the California-based Criminal Justice Legal Foundation. “They’re getting impatient with them. They just keep coming back with this stuff.”

In a Jan. 19 reversal, Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote that the 9th Circuit committed a “clear error” by overturning the murder conviction in the case of a Sacramento man. The Supreme Court accused the circuit of having “failed to accord the required deference” to the state court’s decision — in other words, the 9th Circuit horned in on the state’s business when it shouldn’t have.  Kennedy accused the circuit of demonstrating “judicial disregard” for “sound and established principles.” (emphasis mine)

With this very important information showing the activist Judges within the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals malfeasance, people should be asking why our President and Liberal Democrats refuse to label  them as Judicial Activists ? Oh, wait, could that be because they support their Liberal agenda? As Sarah Palin would say: “You betcha! ”  How about the so-called Mainstream Media here ? If the MSM doesn’t want Americans calling them leftist puppets, why do they refuse to call out the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ? The following networks need to answer that question: MSNBC, CNN , CBS, ABC, NBC. I won’t hold my breath waiting for that answer, but until I get one, the before-mentioned groups willl be referred to as Liberal Puppets, Obama-sheep, and all around  dangerous propagandists lacking any form of unbiased Journalistic integrity they show themselves to be today! Clear enough ? Lay off of Honorable American Judges like Roger Vinson and do some real reporting on the true “Activist Judges” in America today.  As far as President Obama and his leftist propaganda minions trying to label Judge Vinson as an activist with exactly zero basis for it, save your breath, as we no longer believe you any more than we desire your Socialized medicine that you are trying to force upon us using the Alinsky tactics mentioned above.

In 2012, lets remember that every Democratic Senator just voted against the stated demands of the American people that Obamacare be repealed. If that doesn’t tell people who needs to be fired for ignoring the true wishes of the people, I don’t know what does ! That isn’t the actions of true representatives of the people, that is the action of self-serving Tyrants. Remember them in 2012.
