Nye/Ham debate Evolution Vs. Creation on CNN Feb 4

Bill Nye The Science Guy debates Ken Ham Feb. 4 on Evolution vs. Creation

Bill Nye The Science Guy debates Ken Ham Feb. 4 on Evolution vs. Creation

An epic debate on the worldviews of Evolution vs. Creation takes place Feb. 4 between popular TV star Bill Nye “The Science Guy” and Ken Ham of Answers in Genesis.

The debate is the result of an invitation on the part of Answers in Genesis CEO Ken Ham to Bill Nye “The Science Guy” and will take place Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY. The debate will begin at 7 p.m. ET and can be viewed on the web both during and after the debate on the website here. CNN’s Belief Blog will cover the debate and CNN’s Tom Forman will moderate.

Plenty of controversy swirls around this epic contest of worldviews as Nye has had to defend his reasoning for joining in the debate with Ham, warding off criticism from fellow Evolutionists. Ham’s own reasoning for the debate is published in an open letter on CNN’s Belief Blog here.

While the debate will probably not sway those entrenched in either worldview, it may bring more interest in the issues surrounding the controversy and some riding the fence may be influenced one way or the other depending on the success of either debater in delivering their points of view.

The idea for the debate came after Nye’s controversial appearance on TV with popular comedian and fellow atheist Bill Maher on his TV show Real Time. Watch a You Tube recap of that interview here.

In the interview Nye seems to imply that those with a religious worldview will somehow interject their religion in schools and thus slow down the education of science in the classroom. Following Nye’s television appearance, Ham appeared on You Tube to counter Nye’s claims. His comments can be viewed on you tube here. Ham states in his comments on CNN’s Belief Blog that his intent with the debate is to break down the barrier of censorship of the Biblical Worldview of Creation in public settings, including schools and to educate the public on what he perceive as errors in Evolutionary thinking. Says Ham,

So I look forward to a spirited yet cordial debate on Tuesday with Bill Nye, the “Science Guy” of television fame.

“I also look forward to the opportunity to help counter the general censorship against creationists’ view of origins. While we are not in favor of mandating that creation be taught in public school science classes, we believe that, at the very least, instructors should have the academic freedom to bring up the problems with evolution.”

I am looking forward to the debate as well and would love if you the reader could join in as well and make up your own mind on this fascinating and controversial topic. Remember you can view the debate love or see a podcast of it on You Tube when the debate is completed.

Bill Maher Brands Pope Francis a Child Rapist

1383590192NEW YORK, Nov. 4, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ — Bill Donohue (photo) comments on the November 1 edition of “Real Time with Bill Maher” on HBO:

When a young boy recently sat in Pope Francis’ chair, and the Holy Father welcomed him, the response was universally acclaimed. Well, not quite.

Bill Maher is different: he hates Catholicism with a passion, and that is why he showed a picture of the pope with his hand on the boy’s head, saying, “No, Pope Francis, I thought you were different.” Everyone in the audience knew that he was saying the pope is a child rapist, and that’s because every week Maher portrays priests as molesters.

The man needs help.

Bill Maher and Bob Russell Agree: Hell Has Just Frozen Over

I wrote a blog article  a while back pointing out how Barack Obama (Osama bin Obama) is putting the finishing touches on turning America into a police state. I have caught a lot of flak for my views, and have been called paranoid and a fear monger for pointing out the things I see happening to my America.   It seems pretty clear to me what is happening and I know many people agree with me on this while others disagree to varying degrees.

What really surprised me was to hear Bill Maher agree with me.  To me, Bill Maher has always been a left-wing pompous jerk, with no semblance of reality apparent in anything he had to say.  When I saw this video clip I was astonished to say the least.  Bill Maher saying the same things I have been saying???  Maher must have lost his marbles or my ears were playing tricks on me!!!  But as I watched the clip I began to see something in him that changed my perspective.

I saw Maher stick to his guns when he got pushback, undeniably on shaky ground but pushback none the less, from those trying to dismiss his premise.  I was also surprised that Maher actually got some support from a member of the panel.  The lady, Anna Smith, was right there with him and rightly pointed out that much of this has been happening for a long time, although on a smaller scale, such as the “stop and frisk” she mentioned.  Not beingAnna Deveare Smith from New York, I was not aware that this was a common practice.  It is wrong and should be stopped.

What didn’t surprise me was Robert Traynham from MSNBC supporting the police state.  Obama is at the top of the police state command and gets the support of an MSNBC liberal, no surprise there.  As a side note, I wonder if Traynham would be so supportive if George W. Bush was in charge right now and a brown-skinned Muslim was the target of this manhunt.  Maher, also a liberal through and through, was adamant about his point and showed pictures and a video of the state of a militarized police force that is not designed to write a traffic ticket.

This makes me wonder about Maher.  With his stand on this police state issue he brings a rationale that is normally missing from his “I hate everything about America” shtick.  The one thing I have learned over the years is that liberals, the true “died in the wool” liberals, have a utopian view of the world in general and in America in particular.  Maher appears to be one of these.  I have never thought of him as even remotely patriotic, or even a true American, but this gives me a different perspective on him.

The true liberal looks to an idealistic utopia that is impossible to obtain, but they have that goal and believe down deep in their hearts that it can be accomplished.  All that is needed is the right group of people to make it happen.  It seems Maher is one of those utopian true believers.  From this video I believe he really thinks his view of America can become a reality.  It can’t ever work because mankind is terribly flawed and those like Obama are beyond flawed, flawed to the point of being downright evil.  I believe Maher originally saw Obama as the person that could pull off the utopia he envisioned but is now seeing what Obama’s agenda entails, and it frightens him. He said this is “very troubling” to him.  It is beyond troubling to me but I get his point.

Many people make the mistake of looking at Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, Napolitano, Holder, and their ilk as liberals.  They aren’t liberals, they are Marxists, and in Obama’s case a Muslim Marxist.  They aren’t looking for some kind of utopia where everyone benefits equally and contributes equally.  They are looking to establish a Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia style dictatorship with them in charge and everyone else bowing to them.  I believe this is the reality that Maher has finally seen for what it is.  I saw and heard disappointment and shock in Maher’s expression and voice.  He seems to have come to a realization that what he thought Obama would do isn’t what Obama is doing.

Maher made the same case I have been making, but didn’t get the same kind of backlash I have received, at least not yet.  He made point after point about the actions of the police and stayed the course when others tried to intimidate him into accepting the necessity of what they did in Boston.  I heard liberals defending a police state atmosphere and telling Maher that the police state tactic is for our own good.  Hearing liberals defend a dictatorship astounds me and Maher rightly rejected their premise outright.

He rightly pointed out the case of the gunfire aimed at the boat Tsarnaev was hiding in.  He commented that they wanted him alive yet fired a sustained volley of bullets in their zeal to “take this kid alive” so they could question him.  If they wanted him alive why did they fire so many shots, and how did they manage to miss him with that many shots fired?  Trigger happy cops seem to be the normal thing these days.  I have written about that also, pointing out the number of innocent civilians who have been killed by the police without just cause, with the explanation of “oh, it was a mistake”.  That isn’t very comforting that I could be killed “by mistake” and those who kill me go right on out to do it again without any concerns about their actions.  Maher also pointed out that Tsanraev was given his Miranda rights way too early, thereby losing valuable information that could lead to the arrest of co-conspirators.

He agreed Miranda rights should be given but the law says 48 hours and the Obama regime jumped right in to make sure no information would be forthcoming.  Maher found this to be irresponsible and dangerous.  Again, Bill and Bob are on the same page.

I found myself watching this clip and seeing myself sitting in Bill Maher’s chair, saying the exact same words and making the exact same case.  As scary as that is, I find it refreshing at the same time.  Maher is ultra-liberal and I am ultra-conservative.  I have always seen he and I as polar opposites politically yet we see this situation from exactly the same perspective.  That is frightening yet encouraging on a level that goes far beyond liberal/conservative ideology.  When two people as diametrically opposite as Maher and myself agree totally something is terribly wrong, or something is very right, in our nation.

If someone would have told me a week ago that I would be in agreement with Bill Maher I would have told them, “when that happens you will know Hell has frozen over”.  Well, I guess it must be cold in Hell today because I find myself standing side-by-side with Bill Maher on this Boston bombing situation.  As frightening as that is it gives me hope that America just might survive.  When two people like Maher and myself see what is happening and come to the exact same conclusion I know that I am not as far out in “tin foil hat” country as some would like to convince me I am.

I submit this in the name of the Most Holy Trinity, in faith, with the responsibility give to me by Almighty God to honor His work and not let it die from neglect.

Does God deserve credit for Gabrielle Douglas’ Olympic Gold Record

As a record shattering Olympian, gold medalist Gabrielle (Gabby) Douglas leapt into history as the first American athlete to win the prestigious team gold and the all-around gold medal in the same Olympics.

What is equally monumental is that she prepared herself for the arduous competitions by drawing upon her strength from God. In the midst of what has to be tremendous pressure, she has always maintained her faith and presence of mind to reach out to the Lord.

Sounds familiar?

Of course football sensation and devout Christian quarterback Tim Tebow does it as well, and many national comedians and liberal political pundits have attacked him for his faithful practice of kneeling on the gridiron and giving thanks to God.

His righteous practice has accomplished very noble purposes and caused him to be the target of vilification as well. First, he has shown his strength to honor his creator and thereby be a Christian role model for other young athletes. His commitment on the football field helps them to not be afraid to show that God has prepared their spirit and heart for the competition of the day.

Secondly, Tebow’s practice demonstrates a true Christian ministry that parents can point their children to as an example of standing for your faith, even when adversity and cruel pointless comments attempt to diminish their young spirits.

Does God deserve credit for Gabrielle Douglas Olympic gold record?

It appears that Gabby believes that he does. In fact, before the beginning of her All-Around competition, Gabby tweeted to the whole world, “Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things He does for me.”

Yes, Gabby sent out a message that is as clear as her faith is pure and her determination is focused, that the Lord, is responsible. She has shown that he endures in her heart and in her spirit and helped guide her pathway to historic Olympic gold.

Will she become scoffed at by comedic hatchet men for atheists, disbelievers, and liberal sanity challenged liberal pundits like HBO Bill Maher’s diatribes or even worse Bill Press? Yes it was liberal pundit Bill Press, who denounced Tebow’s actions in December of 2011 on his radio show, by stating, “Tell Tebow: ‘S-T-F-U’ (Shut the F**k Up) About Jesus.” Seems that Bill Press is immersed in his fear of Tim Tebow’s influence and his ability to expand his Christian ministry on the football field. Tough luck Press, on field penalty for illegally holding onto hate!

One has to wonder just how soon will these types of callous assaults that have been targeted at Tim Tebow by the likes of David Letterman, Jimmy Fallon, Jay Leno and others, will soon be directed toward Gabby Douglas. Yet, does it truly even matter that these comedic assaults which are germinated in the garden of hate and fear of God and of Christ are aired over and over again?

Not really, because the faith in Gabby Douglas’ and Tim Tebow’s heart and in their spirit is far more powerful than the comic engineers of hateful assaults upon Christian athletes.

Gabby and Tim listen to a different voice and it is both kind and reassuring, “Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.” 1 Corinthians 9:25

So Gabby, you go girl and keep competing and keep winning for a grateful nation and a God who has provided you with the strength, courage and spiritual peace that has kept your eye on the sparrow.

What will her stellar Olympic wins mean in the months and years ahead for other young gymnasts who are witnessing her testimony of faith as she gracefully excelled in Olympic excellence? It means that like Tim Tebow, she can be a tremendous Christian role model, for other young girls and women. They will not fear to display the heart of a true a Christian, and a potential Olympian, who is guided by the hand of God.

They will now have the courage of their convictions to say aloud and to say proudly, as Gabby prayed before her competition: “Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things He does for me.”

Let me know what you think: http://shar.es/vcs4S

Gabby has shown that God endures in her heart and in her spirit and helped guide her pathway to historic Olympic gold.

The Age Old Power Struggle: Chapter 2012

A Muslim cleric introduced Egypt’s new President, the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohamed Morsi by saying: Our Capital ‘shall be Jerusalem, Allah willing’.  For his part, Morsi pronounced: Abroad women are ‘free,’ but not here.

These types of proclamations do not bode well for Egyptian minorities, which includes members of the Coptic Church community, who make up about 10 per cent of Egypt’s population. Despite Morsi campaign spokesman Gehad el-Haddad’s assurances that Morsi would work to be “president for all Egyptians”, Coptics worry how Morsi’s election might result in a restriction of their personal freedoms.

Regardless of joyous proclamations by Mosi supporters, the newly elected president did not receive enough support to consider his election a mandate.  Ahmed Shafik, former prime minister under Hosni Mubarak, received 12.3 million. Morsi picked up 13.2 million votes, giving him about 51 per cent of the vote.  A vote as close as this portrays the presence of a divided electorate.

New Democracy (ND) the conservative party edged out the leftist Syriza party, achieving victory in Greece’s parliamentary elections. The winning margin for ND was less than 3 points. In Greece, as in Egypt, the vote was so close it indicates the presence of a divided people.

In France, Socialists won the National Assembly.  Final results showed the Socialist Party won 280 seats.  Two closely allied parties gained 34 seats, giving the Socialist bloc 314 seats.  The leftist Green Party won 17 seats and the far-left Left Front collected 10.  The Socialist Party now enjoys a lock on French politics.

Newly elected President Hollande’s domestic mandate will allow him push back on budget cuts being demanded by Germany.  Greece and other indebted countries say budget cuts are deepening the Eurozone’s recession by suffocating growth.  Clearly, there is division within the European Union.

Meanwhile in the United States, largely ignoring the historical lessons of American economic success, obama continues to call for bottom up economics.  This not so newly minted campaign tact is but one element of his overall class warfare election strategy.

Desperate for cash to combat GOP candidate Mitt Romney’s growing money juggernaut, obama’s campaign is asking his supporters to tell wedding guests to donate to his campaign rather than give gifts to the newlyweds.  The campaign is also turning to overseas American ex-patriots, seeking cash.

There is a new strategy to inflate the economy on obama’s behalf by Ben Bernanke at the Federal Reserve Bank.  obama and other Democrats are coordinating attacks on Romney with the American media, which completely flies in the face of a free press dutifully reporting facts to the electorate so as to facilitate voters being equipped with the knowledge necessary to make informed political decisions.

Bill Maher, $1 million obama campaign donor and known airwaves extremist, continued to spew hollow, hateful, leftist fringe rhetoric by spouting: Conservatism is not an ideology, ‘It’s just about being a dick’.   Joy Behar, one of Maher’s many fellow “progressive” extremists who populate Hollywood, felt compelled to chime in with “Gay Conservatives only think with their penises”.

Whatever happened to the angst, dismay and regret over harsh partisan rhetoric, so in vogue among “progressives” in the aftermath of the Gabby Gifford shooting?

In light of the Tea Party led midterm election landslide in 2010 and the Tea Party fed Scott Walker victory in Wisconsin’s recall election, it is quite appropriate to observe that, like much of the world, the population of United States is divided.

The division in America is distinctly between those who wish to “fundamentally transform the United States of America” and those who wish to restore the country to its Constitutional roots.

The Constitution established a small government featuring division of powers, protection of individual liberties and fostering a free market economic system uninhibited by the shackles of an overbearing central government.  Since the early 20th Century “progressive” politicians have incrementally increased prohibitive regulatory controls while intruding upon individual liberties by imposing “progressive” taxation used to fuel the growth of big government ”entitlement” programs and bloated federal bureaucracies that far exceed the powers delineated to the federal government by the United States Constitution.

As they participate in Chapter 2012 of the age old power struggle between tyranny and freedom, the choice is clear for American voters.  To further enable unconstitutional usurpation of powers by disciples of Marx and Alinsky wishing to dismantle and eliminate the fundamental political, and socioeconomic structure of the United States, or to elect representatives who will insist upon restoring the Constitutional Republic envisioned by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Benjamin Franklin and America’s founding patriots.

Why obama Can’t Quit Maher

Yahoo! News, that proud, card-carrying member of the “progressive” Party Pravda, is on the attack again. What else should be expected from a website that looks like it’s part of the obama re-election campaign? They’re resurrecting the birth certificate issue and attempting to tie it to Mitt Romney. In an article published May 30, 2012, Amy Walter, David Chalian, Rick Klein, Richard Coolidge & Sherisse Pham pronounce: “Trump is still embracing “birther” theories, saying that President Obama was not born in the United States, despite the fact that the Obama administration has clearly proven he was.” The attack continues: “Team Romney thinks that even now — with the primary battle in the rear view mirror — there is a danger in alienating someone like Donald Trump — the campaign doesn’t know what he might do on the outside, and it does not know what people who agree with Trump might do with their support.” A view of the accompanying video shows their smug faces displaying pleasure in and relish for the attack. Like hyenas at first blood on downed prey.

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/power-players-abc-news/why-romney-t-quit-trump-101346115.html

Never mind that twelve days prior to this latest Yahoo News hit piece, Ben Shapiro of Breitbart’s Big Government discovered that: “the official website for Dystel & Goderich, Obama’s literary agents – was using the Barack Obama “born in Kenya” language until April 2007, just two months after then-Senator Obama declared his campaign for the presidency.”

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/05/17/Obama-pamphlet-in-use-2007

On that same day Joel Pollack, also of Breitbart’s Big Government, revealed the existence of a pamphlet stating: “Barack Obama, the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review, was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii. The son of an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister, he attended Columbia University and worked as a financial journalist and editor for Business International Corporation. He served as project coordinator in Harlem for the New York Public Interest Research Group, and was Executive Director of the Developing Communities Project in Chicago’s South Side. His commitment to social and racial issues will be evident in his first book, Journeys in Black and White.”

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/05/17/The-Vetting-Barack-Obama-Literary-Agent-1991-Born-in-Kenya-Raised-Indonesia-Hawaii

The existence of this pamphlet reveals why people like Donald Trump still question the place of obama’s birth.

So the smug, “holier than thou” attitude openly displayed by Walter, Chalian, Klein, Coolidge & Pham in their attack on Trump for simply answering questions about the “birther” issue posed to him by members of the “progressive” Party Pravda is entirely misplaced. Trump simply used his influence and the power of his prestige to pressure obama into showing some proof of birth. Why this was and is such a monumental hurdle for the “most transparent administration” in the history of the Milky Way Galaxy to overcome raises more questions. If there is nothing for obama to hide, why is money being spent to fight revealing said records? Especially when that money could be directed to his re-election campaign? Is obama hiding his college records because they’ll reveal that he enrolled in multiple academic institutions as a foreign exchange student? Again, for the “most transparent administration” since the Big Bang, a simple request to reveal college records is more difficult a climb than Mount Everest?

For Walter, Chalian, et al to express such disdain for Romney’s candidacy because he wants to avoid alienating Trump’s supporters (their assessment) reveals the hollowness of the entire misguided attack.

Wanting to avoid alienating voters is exactly why obama refuses to distance himself from the likes of Bill Maher, whose indefensible, pathologically misogynistic attacks on Conservative women go beyond the pale. obama’s afraid to alienate Maher’s viewers, just as he’s afraid to alienate other members of his extreme, fringe leftist base. Without a mass turnout of his “tax the rich” “government’s job is to take care of us” “occupy whatever” supporters, obama cannot win in November and he knows it. So do his whimpering, obedient suck-ups in the “progressive” Party Pravda.

Obama’s Hypocrisy Exposed (Again)

This excellent video points out two cases of delicious irony in one fell swoop.  Our president has recently called Sandra Fluke to let her know that he doesn’t approve of meanies like Rush Limbaugh calling her a “slut” while simultaneously taking $1 million (via super pac) from Bill Maher.  (who “unapologetically” calls Sarah Palin a C_NT)   The Irony Police are looking over the report to see which smacks more of hypocrisy:  His condemnation of Limbaugh while glossing over remarks by Maher.  Or his sudden change of heart when it comes to embracing Super PACs.  Anyone else remember when he scolded the Supreme Court for the Citizens United decision?  (h/t @red_red_head on Twitter)

Left-Wing Misogyny Mashup *LANGUAGE*

WARNING: Much of the language in the below video may be offensive to many viewers.

This video is an example of how Kirsten Powers hit the nail on the head when she told Megyn Kelly:

“Liberal men are allowed to be misogynist, apparently.”

The description of  this video on YouTube:

In light of the Rush Limbaugh ‘slut’ controversy, its important to take a look at the widespread misogyny talk of major left figures. Ed Shultz, Keith Olbermann and Bill Maher.

Maher to Hasselbeck:You Being Raped is Comedy!

Yesterday Bill Maher was a guest on “Nails on a Chalkboard”, otherwise known as “The View”.  Right away the show’s token “conservative” Elizabeth Hasselbeck confronted Maher about a “joke” he made at her expense back in February.  Now, before I move on I have to admit that I am already using a lot of quotation marks just two sentences into this post.  I apologize, but its impossible to avoid when talking about this show.  Fair warning- words such as comedian, funny, journalist,  conversation, and respect will include quotation marks when referring to “The View” from this point on.  Their honest employ of these terms is questionable at best.  So now that we have that out of the way, let’s get back to Bill Maher.  Back in February, during the Egyptian riots Maher made a “joke” about Lara Logan returning to the U.S. after her brutal rape and assault, and sending Elizabeth Hasselbeck to replace her.  The folks over at the Slatester Youtube channel prepared this little summary of the whole incident here.

Nearly nine months later Hasselbeck took the opportunity of Maher’s appearance to confront him about his “joke” and scold him for such a distasteful display.  Of course Maher met her protests with the appropriate N.O.W-approved amount of condescension and dismissal.  He old Hasselbeck it was a “joke” , that he is a “comedian” and it was “funny”. Basically, get over it!  Today on my local L.A. morning news entertainment reporter Sam Rubin  accused Hasselbeck of being overly sensitive and ridiculed her for carrying this issue for over nine months.  He suggested she was shrill and  humorless for still being concerned about the comment after all this time.

Whatever one may think of the timing, Hasselbeck has a point and it should be taken seriously by women and everyone who loves women.  I concur with the sentiment that comedians say offensive things and should be excluded from certain standards of decency when they are performing.  However, Maher is not a comedian.  Maher is a political commentator who tries to be “funny”.  He cloaks himself in the mantle of comedy to avoid criticism.  But let’s be honest, Bill.  You are not a comedian anymore than I am a journalist.  We can both claim those labels to protect ourselves to some extent, but in the end we have to admit that what we do is political opinion.  You made a rape “joke”…and that’s what it was – a RAPE joke. The “funny” was in the idea that perhaps we could send Hasselback over to Egypt to be treated as Logan had, and let us not forget Logan was gang raped, raped by foreign objects, beaten and left for dead.

Maybe Hasselbeck should have been able to let that go.  Maybe she would have done better to chalk it up to typical liberal double standards and move on with her life.  But maybe Hasselbeck was truly offended by the comment, as a woman.  Perhaps she has been waiting for an opportunity to confront Maher personally about his horrible comments and this was her first chance, nine months later.  She is a young mother and wife and it does not seem unreasonable that she would take offense to a “comedian” making a “joke” about her possible rape and beating.  For goodness sake, director Bret Ratner was forced to quit  the Oscars for using the word “fag” in his latest movie, but a woman upset about rape jokes is just being unreasonable?  I don’t accept that.  I applaud Hasselback for taking the opportunity to stand up for herself, even if the timing was off.  Her larger and more important point was that if you put yourself out there as a public figure in the political sphere (entertainment, government or otherwise) then you should be accountable for the things you say.  This is a standard the liberal media set up long ago.  They accuse Republicans and conservatives as being humorless and stuffy and yet disparage every righty “joke” and “satire” as irresponsible, disturbing and uncalled for.  Its been years and fascist liberals everywhere still bring up Rush’s  Barack the Magic Negro  (first written by a  liberal BLACK L.A. Times writer).   As far as I’m concerned Hasselback was only playing by the rules Bill Maher and those of his ilk set up.  Its too late to change those rules.  We conservatives have taken the high road for too long now and it has cost us ownership of pop culture, and maybe even our country as we know it. However, we can play by the rules that have been set up.  Hasselbeck did just that.  Would I have said what she said differently?  Yes, but I refuse to ridicule the woman for standing up for herself.  Rape is almost the worst thing one human being can do to another.  It encompasses so many forms of evil, so much hatred.  Its purpose is to humiliate and de-humanize.  Perhaps Maher’s “joke” would have been more acceptable in a stand up routine at a comedy club, but as political commentator (and that’s all you are Bill, so quit frontin’!) it was cruel, partisan and completely sexist.  It’s no surprise that a man who dates strippers and girls that comfortably go by the name “Superhead” is a chauvinistic pig, but why should  a woman who calls him out on that be labeled a whiner?  I’m no fan of “The View”, or even Hasselback, but she deserves a bit more respect for jumping on the opportunity to confront sexism when she sees it.  So what if its nine months later?  There is no statute of limitations on ignorant fake comedians.

NOW Can’t Stand Up For Women – Too Busy Attacking the Rights of Unborn Children

For decades, most have known that the National Organization for Women (NOW) isn’t really for women as much as it is about the progressive agenda. In response to a recent Fox News request for comment, NOW publicly admitted that they are far too busy making sure people can kill unborn children to stand up for women being victimized by sexism in the media.

Fox News had requested comment from NOW in response to Bill Maher’s misogynistic, lewd attack on Sarah Palin. NOW first refused to comment saying that, “it was a ‘known fact’ that NOW does not correspond with FOX News..”[1]. Later, Lisa Bennett, NOW’s commuinications director put this inflammatory post on NOW’s blog (emphasis mine):

I’ve got a few things to say on the latest “controversy” getting everyone all fired up:

1. Listen, supposedly progressive men (ok, and women, too): Cut the crap! Stop degrading women with whom you disagree and/or don’t like by using female body terms or other gender-associated slurs. OK? Can you do that, please? If you think someone’s an idiot or a danger to the country, feel free to say so, but try to keep their sex out of it. Sexist insults have an impact on all women.

2. We’re on to you, right-wingers:

a. You’re trying to take up our time getting us to defend your friend Sarah Palin. If you keep us busy defending her, we have less time to defend women’s bodies from the onslaught of reproductive rights attacks ..[2]

It shouldn’t take much effort to understand the “reproductive rights” means abortion: killing the unborn. Sooo, Lisa is too busy making sure we can kill unborn children to stand up for women – who knew?

As a final note, Sarah responded to the NOW blog post:

By the way, I need NOW’s defense like a fish needs a bicycle. I don’t want them to defend me.
