What’s In A Name?

Education is on the list of topics to cover by every politician hitting the campaign trail. It’s one of those topics we hear more ideas and theories about than actual solutions that are effective. Some say we need to coddle the students, others believe all students should attend a boot camp style school, and then there are many other views that vary somewhere between the two.

Dallas Independent School District recently unveiled their latest school. The new school is an all-male public school starting with grade six and going to grade nine with plans to add grades all the way through grade twelve. The school is to focus on college preparation courses.

You might be asking yourself, “What’s the big deal? Sounds like a good idea”.

I think it is a good idea also, but the name floored me.

The Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy.

Yes, you read that right. Your eyes are not deceiving you.

Naming a school after a sitting president that has been controversial from the time he started his campaign for the White House. Under his “leadership” (for lack of a better term) we have endured failed bailouts, inflation, larger government and an administration with total disregard for the United States Constitution, just to name a few things.

Before someone asks, yes, the school is in a predominantly African-American area. The school board could have at least chosen a leader that has been good for this country. There’s Colin Powell, Clarence Thomas, or even Allen West. These are just a few African-American men that have proven their leadership abilities.

Just because Obama is the first person with black skin to be elected president does not make him a leader.

Allen West: I’m Here to Lead Blacks Off the Liberal ‘Plantation’

In an interview on FoxNews’ “O’Reilly Factor” Rep. West (R FL-22) told guest host Laura Ingraham that  he wants to lead fellow African Americans away from the the “21st century plantation.”

On this, Congressman West said, “So you have this 21st Century plantation … where the Democrat party has forever taken the black vote for granted, and you have established certain black leaders who are nothing more than the overseers of that plantation,”.West continued “and now the people on that plantation are upset because they’ve been disregarded, disrespected and their concerns are not cared about.”

Allen West Talks With CDNews on Debt, the Economy and Foreign Policy

Tuesday afternoon, I had the opportunity to spend twenty minutes with Congressman Allen West (R FL-22) and ask him about the outcome of the debt-limit negotiations, the current state of the economy and U.S. foreign policy. Once the pleasantries were exchanged, we got right to the questions.

Rich: Moody’s cut the U.S. economic outlook for 2011 and people are still struggling to find jobs. What would you like to see done on to fix the economy?

Rep. West: I think One of the things that has to happen is the government has to set the conditions to incentivize long-term, sustainable economic growth in America. When we continue to talk about bigger government and tax hikes, that’s not how we do it. I think when you look at the corporate tax rate in America, which is the second highest in the world, very simply let’s take that tax rate and cut it down to 20-21% and remove all the loopholes, strategies and subsidies and give our corporations and businesses a competitive tax rate. For the individual tax rate, since many businesses operate as sub chapter S corporations, let’s flatten that out to somewhere between 13% and 16% and only have two deductions: the child tax credit and the mortgage interest deduction.

For clarification, I repeated what I’d heard and got even more insight into how the Congressman would kick start the economy. He mentioned that not only would he be in favor of the lower corporate tax rate, but would favor making it retroactive to January 1st of 2011. As Rep. West put it, it would allow companies to recalculate their liabilities and realize additional assets that could allow them to invest, expand and hire.

Rep. West also mentioned the repeal of Sarbanes-Oxley, the set of financial regulations intended to prevent market losses like those experienced due to the Enron scandal. Unfortunately, Sarbanes-Oxley is expensive to implement and lacks any real or perceived benefits. It has done little more than to burden American companies with complex regulations that make it difficult to compete in the global economy.

Stressing that the “Keynesian model just doesn’t work” Congressman West mentioned that instead of more “pie-in-the-sky gimmicks” like stimulus spending, we should be looking at real plans like the new legislation he has in the House Ways and Means Committee – H.R. 1663 is titled  “The Small Business Encouragement Act” which, according to the Republican Study Committee, would:

The bill would amend the Internal Revenue Code to allow small businesses who hire an unemployed American, a work opportunity tax credit, saving employers up to $12,000 a year per hire in some areas of the country. To qualify, small businesses must have gross receipts in the preceding taxable year not exceeding $20 million, or they must employ less than 100 full time employees. The tax credit will double for employers hiring unemployed Americans in counties with an unemployment rate that is higher than the national average, which is currently just above 9 percent.

In the RSC blog post Rep. West was quoted as saying, “The Small Business Encouragement Act is a simple, effective solution to putting people back to work by encouraging the very backbone of our economy, the small businesses.”

Rich: In addition to the economy, what other issues would you like to see the House take up after the current recess?

Rep. West: I wish we had our tails back up there in Washington, D.C. right now. We have 12 appropriations bills that we have to pass through the House and get over to the Senate. We’ve only done 6 in the House so far and I think that the Senate has only taken up one of those.

We shouldn’t be waiting around for this joint committee of Congress to get going on finding spending cuts. We should get back up there and immediately implement the $300 Billion in cuts to duplicative and redundant government programs that the GAO (Government Accounting Office) report identified earlier this year.

I think we should be very concerned that China has rolled out it’s first aircraft carrier and the United Nations (U.N.) have a unilateral vote on Palestinian statehood in September.

The Congressman also expressed that while it was fantastic to get to speak with and meet his constituents, the prevailing feeling he was getting was that voters would rather Congress was in session getting these things done.

Rich: The news yesterday mentioned a “trial balloon”-style rumor that Obama may seek to solve our jobs dilemma by creating more government – The Department of Jobs. How do you feel about that approach?

Rep. West: That’s one of the most insidious things I’ve ever heard. Look, we have some government agencies that I don’t know why they exist. Why do we have a department of labor if we need a department of jobs? Why do we have a Department of Energy, that was originally created to make us energy independent and we still don’t have a diversified energy resource portfolio in the United States of America. When I hear the President speak, all I hear is a big government, liberal, progressive, socialist that does not understand that his policies that he has tried to implement over just less than three years has brought us incredible debt and increased our trillion dollar plus deficits over the last few years.

Even the liberal-leaning Huffington Post has an article that agrees with the Congressman on the silly nature of the President’s rumored idea. HuffPo’s Ken Blackwell points out not only the redundancy that Obama’s Dept. of Jobs would have with the Labor Department, but also the Commerce Department:

Then, of course, we have the U.S. Commerce Department. The Mission Statement of this department makes it sound like it, too, is a Jobs Department.

The U.S. Department of Commerce promotes job creation, economic growth, sustainable development and improved standards of living for all Americans by working in partnership with businesses, universities, communities and our nation’s workers.

We then changed the subject to the recent debt limit negotiations and outcome.

Rich: You voted for the negotiated debt-limit deal, correct?

Rep .West: Yes I did.

Rich: Out of all the plans and frameworks presented – the Ryan plan, Connie Mack’s Penny plan and cut, cap and balance, which was your favorite?

Rep. West: The Cut, Cap and Balance plan was my favorite and that was the one that 70-some-odd percent of the American people were behind. I think it’s reprehensible that Harry Reid, playing politics, tabled it. But the important thing is that you just don’t quit. The worst case situation is that the Democrats, that had no plan, no vision whatsoever, enabled a perceived or manufactured  crisis to occur. Then they turned to the blame game and the next thing you know we have to succumb to their wild and crazy economic schemes.

The final debt agreement was not the 100%. It was probably a 70-75% solution for me. The cuts in spending are not great, but at least we don’t have tax hikes. It’s also the first time ever that we’ve had a debt limit increase along with cuts in spending.

Congressman West was also quick to point out that this sets a precedent. Debt limit increases are not going to come free and easy anymore. He also was not fond of the Joint Committee, but felt it would be something they could work through.

Rich: The negotiated deal also contains, as a trigger provision, significant cuts to defense spending if deficit reductions don’t happen. Considering all that our young men and women in uniform are asked to do, are you concerned about that provision?

Rep. West:  What I found is really horrible is that we have to have this nuclear option hung over our heads as if we can’t do the sensible and the right thing and find the $1.5 trillion in additional cuts over the next ten years. I don’t think anyone wants to be there and say that “I decimated the defense structure of the United States of America on my watch”. You can best be sure that I will do everything possible on my side to make sure that this Joint Commission of Congress performs their duties. I sit on the Armed Services Committee, I have many a friend and also a nephew that is still serving. I am not going to allow them to be sent into a combat zone without the proper levels of readiness.

With the debt-limit situation covered, foreign policy was up as the final topic.

Rich: Considering the three conflicts that the U.S. is currently engaged in – Libya, Afghanistan and Iraq, which, if any do you believe we should be fighting?

Rep. West: Libya we should not be fighting at all. On this I have been very vocal. I believe the President is violating statutory law and going against the War Powers Act of 1973. I was one of the first to go into Iraq in 2003 with the Fourth Infantry Division. Now it’s going to be drawn down on the 31st of December of this year. I do have some concerns on the resurgance of Muqtada al-Sadr and the Mahdi army which is supported by Iran. I believe that when you look at Afghanistan we got off-focus in being more concerned with nation building and occupation-style warfare instead of focusing on the enemy and his sanctuaries. On the tenth anniversary of 9-11,those attacks emanated out of Afghanistan, I don’t want to just pull tents and run away without having defeated the enemy to some measure of success.

Rich: There was a video put up by The Shark Tank that showed you discounting Representative Ron Paul as a serious candidate based on his foreign policy views, specifically on Iran. How would you like to see the United States deal with Iran?

Rep. West: The last thing I want to see us do is to take the Neville Chamberlain type of perspective and believe that we can compromise, appease and negotiate with Iran. You know, we’ve been in contention with Iran ever since the fall of the Shah, the rise of the Ayatollah and the hostage crisis. I believe there is going to come a time when we will have to take action against the military capability of Iran. Iran is supporting actions against our men and women in uniform in Iraq and Afghanistan. For anyone to sit and say that they want to be President of the United States of America, understanding that the most important title for the President is Commander-in-Chief, and say that they would not have problem with Iran having a nuclear device because everyone else has it – shows that person does not understand mutually assured destruction theory (M.A.D.). The religious fanatics that are truly in control in Iran – if they get that device, they’re going to use it for the purposes of having an apocalyptic event so that they can conceivably bring back the 12th Imam – the Mahdi.

Rich: Obama has stressed our relationship with one of our closest allies – Israel. There is mounting pressure for the U.N. to grant statehood to Palestine and this administration seems to be doing little to prevent it. What is your stance on the statehood of Palestine?

Rep West: I’m headed over to Israel this Saturday for a week. I think the most important thing is for the President, [U.S. Ambassador to the U.N.] Susan Rice, and Secretary of State Clinton should do is to come out, have a press conference and unequivocally state that they will not support a unilateral creation of a Palestinian state by the United Nations. We need to vote against it in the General Assembly. We definitely need to veto it in the U.N. security council. There should not be any quibbling about where we stand.

Congressman West expounded upon his answer by explaining that he had real concerns about a Palestinian government, Fatah,  that has reconciled with Hamas – a known terrorist group that has in its charter the destruction of Israel. Hamas does  not recognize Israel as a nation and now the U.N. would consider recognizing Palestine as a state. He also mentioned that if Palestine somehow were granted statehood, that the United States would respond by providing, “absolutely no funding to an illegitimate Palestinian State”.

Representative West is running for re-election in 2012 and you can keep up with his work in the House at west.house.gov or at his website: www.allenwestforcongress.com/

Interview Note:
There was much more from the interview, but I’ll be releasing that in separate articles as those questions were from unrelated topics. I thank Representative Allen West and his dedicated team for making this interview possible.

2012 Dream

Have you ever had a dream that you would give just about anything to see come true? Do you ever analyze your dreams? I had one of those dreams recently that demanded I analyze it. You might ask what kind of dream would inspire me to actually write an article on it.

My dream was of what I would consider the ultimate conservative presidential collaboration.  How would you like to see Lt.Col. Allen West as President with Ted Nugent as Vice-President. Yes, you read that right. Now let that float around in you brain while you read the reasoning.

For those of you that do not know me real well, I am a huge fan of Ted Nugent. I love his ultra conservative views and love his high energy music as well. Lt Col. Allen West is a congressman that has proven he has a spine and also has the brass (internally and externally on his chest) to take on the liberals.

Some of you might be asking why West as President and Nugent as the VP? Why not the other way around? Some of it comes down to strategy and some comes down to pure pleasure. Rep. West has the personality and tact needed to lead the greatest nation on earth.

Now picture this, Vice-president Ted Nugent reigning over the senate.

“Do you want to feel good, or do you want to do good?” -Ted Nugent

With the United States Military in combat operations in several countries around the world we need someone who understands the way the military works and what it takes in battle. Lt Col.West meets not only this criteria but also understands the process it takes to get the job done on Capitol Hill. Rep. West has the backbone to say what he thinks and stand up for the Constitution of the United States, which he has sworn to protect.

Besides the aforementioned credentials, Lt.Col. West also has one obvious attribute that negates one of the most used weapons in a liberal’s arsenal. That’s right, he is an African –American. The liberals might as well throw the race card out of the window. Besides the fact that Rep. West is black, a Congressman, or even the fact that he is a retired Lieutenant Colonel, he is a patriotic American. He is more interested in what he can do for our nation than he is fitting a mold set by others.

What can I say about Ted Nugent? He is a freedom loving, in your face, upfront conservative. Without a doubt, Ted Nugent strikes fear in the bleeding heart socialist liberals. He is outspoken about his beliefs in raw freedom. I agree with Nugent about concealed carry- as a law abiding citizen the Second Amendment is my license for concealed carry. I for one cannot argue his view of the U.N. either.

“The United Nations is anti-freedom and is as useless as teats on a boar hog. It is the largest gang of worthless humanity the world has ever witnessed.”  – Ted Nugent

It is hard to argue with the truth. The mere thought of Ted Nugent presiding over the Senate makes me smile from ear to ear. It would be like locking criminals in a room with a large aggressive Pit Bull with a chain that keeps the dog less than an inch from the criminal’s throats.

Like my Mom always told me, “Dreams don’t cost nothing, have as many as you want”.

I will keep on dreaming my dream!

Racism In America

August 28, 1963 on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech to a massive crowd of two hundred thousand plus people. The crowd was made up of many different races of people, not just black, not just white. On that day, people gathered and united for a common good. Even though race relations could have exploded into violence and unrest many people of our nation united to solve a long standing problem.

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

These immortal words were a driving force behind actions taken to correct the injustices that were so prevalent in those days.

My question for you is this: have the words and dreams of Dr. King been twisted and perverted?

Rep. Allen West has been in the news a great deal. Rep. West has stated that he has been called such things as “Uncle Tom” and “sellout” for standing up for what he believes. Rep. West received numerous decorations in his military career before he retired in 2004, but it appears that his biggest battle might have just begun. Those on the left seem to have set their sights on Rep. West, especially fellow Floridian Rep. Wasserman-Schultz.

Recently I came across an article by Lloyd Marcus entitled “The Black Code”. Mr. Marcus answered some questions I have had for several years and even gave some new questions and thoughts to ponder. I understand that like people tend to group together whether it is on the basis of religion, culture or even race. What Mr. Marcus opened my eyes to is the existence of the “codes” that exist among many groups- be it blacks, whites, liberal or conservative to name a few. Some people live their lives by such a code while others don’t. Mr. Marcus described some of the repercussions of not adhering to the “Black Code”.

“Consequences for violating The Black Code are severe. I boldly proclaim myself to be an unhyphenated American rather than the politically correct term, “African-American”. It never occurred to me my statement would be seen as a violation of The Black Code.”

Mr. Marcus explained how the code played into the election of Obama when he ran for president.

“The emergence of Obama as America’s first black presidential candidate automatically activated The Black Code in the hearts and minds of most black Americans.

Obama’s socialistic ideas, anti-America associations and friends were irrelevant. Once again, I found myself odd man out with family and black friends.”

This is when I asked myself a couple of questions; isn’t it just as racist to vote for a person because of their skin color as it is to not to vote for them for their skin color? Doesn’t this kind of thinking contradict Dr. King’s teachings?

“But there is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.”   – Dr. King

“Al Sharpton and the usual suspects along with their sycophant clueless puppy dog white liberal media exploit The Black Code at every opportunity.”-Lloyd Marcus

Over the years, people such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have successfully manipulated many Americans for nothing more than their personal gain while others have used the “race card” to push their liberal agenda.

When Rep. Allen West sent his email to Rep. Wasserman-Schultz in response to her attack on him, the head of The National Black Caucus stated that he was “furious” with Rep. West. Where is this “Black Code”? Does Rep. West not qualify for inclusion in the loyalty the “code” dictates? Am I to understand that the “code” does not apply to black gentlemen (or ladies) that hold conservative values?

“Exploitation of The Black Code is the left’s strategy to defeat the tea party and get out the black vote in 2012. Their think tank went something like this:

“I got it!

Let’s call the tea party racist.

We’ll accuse them of opposing Obama’s race rather than his agenda to fundamentally transform America. Instinctively, blacks will flock to the polls in defense of their brother against those white tea party rednecks.”- Lloyd Marcus

The Tea Party racist? Was it not the Tea Party that was the driving force behind the election of Rep. West?

The left’s tactics push people of all races to look at candidates based on anything but their content of character.  They will play the “race card” at every chance and lie about candidates to distract the American people from what really matters. They do not want the U.S. Constitution to remain. They want to turn this great nation into their personal socialist playground.

I commend and admire people like Rep. West and Lloyd Marcus for standing up to the pressures of the politically correct in defense of our great nation. We should all hold people of their caliber as true patriots. We need more people like them no matter what color their skin is.

I hope that all that read this will read Mr. Marcus’ article also and above all else, do what Dr. King dreamed about, judge (especially your candidates) by the content of their character, not the color of their skin.

The Hypocrisy of Liberals Rears Its Head Again

Debbie Wasserman-Schultz

When a Republican man speaks his mind concerning a Democrat woman, he is accused of personally attacking her.

However, when the left personally attacks a woman on the right, you never hear a peep.

Once again, we are seeing a case of the liberal’s double standard tactics at its finest!

One of the hottest topics in the news currently is the ongoing feud between Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and Congressman Allen West, both from Florida.

Congressman West addressed the current issue with Congresswoman Wasserman-Schultz via email, in which he copied other leaders in Congress:

From: Z112 West, Allen
Sent: Tuesday, July 19, 2011 04:48 PM
To: Wasserman Schultz, Debbie
Cc: McCarthy, Kevin; Blyth, Jonathan; Pelosi, Nancy; Cantor, Eric
Subject: Unprofessional and Inappropriate Sophomoric Behavior from Wasserman-Schultz

Look, Debbie, I understand that after I departed the House floor you directed your floor speech comments directly towards me. Let me make myself perfectly clear, you want a personal fight, I am happy to oblige. You are the most vile, unprofessional ,and despicable member of the US House of Representatives. If you have something to say to me, stop being a coward and say it to my face, otherwise, shut the heck up. Focus on your own congressional district!

I am bringing your actions today to our Majority Leader and Majority Whip and from this time forward, understand that I shall defend myself forthright against your heinous characterless behavior……which dates back to the disgusting protest you ordered at my campaign hqs, October 2010 in Deerfield Beach.

You have proven repeatedly that you are not a Lady, therefore, shall not be afforded due respect from me!

Steadfast and Loyal

Congressman Allen B West (R-FL)

Allen West

In response, the head of the Congressional Black Caucus said that they are “furious” with the email he sent, and will be speaking with Congressman West.

Several female lawmakers held a news conference demanding that Congressman West apologize.

Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, a Democrat from New York, said:

“His words were nothing more than personal attacks….it is “very ladylike to speak up for the values that you believe in.”

Congresswoman Maloney added that she hopes Speaker of the House John Boehner “disavows” Congressman West’s remarks.

Not to be outdone, Congresswoman Donna Edwards, another Democrat, said she was “shocked” by the “disgraceful” email sent by Congressman West. She also stated:

“Instead of engaging constructively in that debate, Representative West chose to resort to unprofessional, vitriolic and offensive personal attacks — shame on him.”

Where were all of these female lawmakers during the numerous personal attacks against Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann?  I have not heard a single one of them stand up and demand that apologies be given to either of these ladies, both of who have been on the receiving end of numerous personal attacks. I’ve never heard Congresswoman Maloney compliment either of these ladies with compliments for “speaking up for the values they believe in.”

Once again, the hypocrisy of the left is absolutely disgusting!

Allen West Fires Back at Wasserman Shultz [Full Email and Video]

Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz got an eye-full from an Allen West email (full text below).

The main stream media is coloring Rep. West in the darkest of lights without revealing the entire history. Shultz’s assault on West didn’t start with her accusatory, inflammatory and false statements on the House floor.

Last year, Wasserman Shultz organized a protest at Rep. West’s Deerfield Beach headquarters (video below).

In another talking-point, mistruth-laden, mediscare-fashion progressive extremist-style rant, Wasserman Shultz said that it was unbelievable that “the gentleman from Florida who represents thousands of medicare beneficiaries as do I, is supportive of this plan that would increase costs for medicare beneficiaries, unbelievable from a member from south florida. it slashes medicaid and critical investments essential to winning the future in favor of protecting tax breaks for bill oil, millionaires and companies who ship jobs overseas.”

Here’s the full video:

Rep. Allen West, R-Fla. returned fire after these repeated and less-than-honest attacks:

Subject: Unprofessional and Inappropriate Sophomoric Behavior from Wasserman-Schultz

And to deal with the aftermath, Rep. West was interviewed by Mark Levin on Wednesday:

[mp3player config=fmp_jw_widget_config.xml playlist=fmp_jw_widget_playlist.xml file=1]

Where’s Sheila Jackson-Lee When You Need Her?

Sheila Jackson-Lee (D)

Sheila Jackson-Lee. Just her name alone invokes controversy.

Never fear, she is at it again!

On Friday, on the floor of the  House, Sheila Jackson-Lee let forth a rant accusing some members of Congress of refusing to raise the debt ceiling because President Barack Obama is black.

“Read between the lines. What is different about this president that should put him in a position that he should not receive the same kind of respectful treatment of when it is necessary to raise the debt limit in order to pay our bills, something required by both statute and the 14th Amendment?

But I do not understand what I think is the maligning and maliciousness of this president. Why is he different? And in my community, that is the question that we raise. In the minority community, that is the question that is being raised. Why is this president being treated so disrespectfully?”

As usual, when all else fails, pull out the race card!

However, we have not heard a peep out of Congresswoman Jackson-Lee in defense of Representative Allen West from Florida, who was attacked from the floor of the House by Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, who said:

“The gentleman from Florida who represents thousands of Medicare beneficiaries, as do I, is supportive of this plan that would increase costs for Medicare beneficiaries. Unbelievable from a member from South Florida.”

Interestingly enough, Congresswoman Wasserman-Schultz did not address Congressman West directly, she chose to make the statement after he had left the room.

Why isn’t Sheila Jackson-Lee asking why Congressman West (a black man) is not “receiving the same kind of respectful treatment” from Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (a white woman)? Presidential candidate Herman Cain said it best when he said:

“She is playing the race card, like they do when they can’t defend this president’s record.”

Mr. Cain’s statement is proven correct with the conflict going on with Congressman West and Congresswoman Wasserman-Schultz. If it is racism with President Obama, it is racism with Congressman West. Obviously, neither situation has anything to do with racism. It’s just a convenient tactic the left uses to detract from the truth.

Speaker Boehner’s Libya Resolution Passes House

Speaker Boehner’s Libya House resolution H.R. 292 passed the House by a vote of 268 – 145 – 1 this past week. While many Republicans supported and voted for this bill on Friday, Congressman Allen West (R-FL) voted against it, and instead voted for Dennis Kucinich’s H. Con. Res. 51, The Kucinich War Powers Resolution. This resolution failed largely due to the intervention of Speaker Boehner, as noted in a FoxNews.com article:
Rep. Dennis  Kucinich (D-OH) authored a resolution a few weeks ago to require the  president to halt the involvement of the U.S. in the Libya conflict. Initially,  the House planned to consider the Kucinich resolution on Wednesday. But quickly,  the GOP leadership realized that if the House worked its will, it’s likely the  lawmakers would adopt Kucinich’s plan.
Even though many rank-and-file lawmakers agreed with Kucinich, the GOP  majority was reluctant to have a liberal, Democratic Congressman take the lead  on this issue. Secondly, some feared Kucinich’s resolution went too far,  mandating a withdrawal when Congress had failed to consult top commanders in the  field. Plus, House Republicans certainly didn’t want to debate the Libya issue  on the same day the entire GOP Conference huddled with Mr. Obama at the White  House on the debt ceiling. Third, there was worry that a U.S. withdrawal could  harm the viability of NATO. (emphasis mine)
Instead of adopting the Kucinich resolution and withdrawing the U.S. troops from Libya, ( that we are told are not really there) we see Speaker Boehner intervene with a resolution to “talk” about the issue instead of taking action. Seems like the time for talking was before we attacked a country who has not attacked anyone in NATO, as their charter states is the prerequisite for waging war on Libya. Using the White House meeting on the debt ceiling debate as an excuse to not address this situation immediately is bowing down to the bully pulpit of Barack Hussein Obama, and a disservice to America and the rule of law. Throw in here the fact that there was a worry that the withdrawl of troops in Libya would harm the viability of NATO, and we see just how incompetent our Congress has become today. The viability of NATO is already down to nothing when we consider the fact that NATO peacekeeping troops have been non-existent in the Middle East and North Africa, as these regions implode in a fireball of revolution and chaos. I find it to be hypocritical on how NATO refuses to intervene on the behalf of oppressed citizens whom are being murdered in many other countries, and yet they can wage an illegal war on Libya at the direction of Barack Hussein Obama. America is being used here once again, as the truth is that without the United States doing the bombing and killing in Libya, and thus footing the bill for the Libyan war action, NATO would not be there. Period. This is Obama’s war, and Congress and the War Powers Act of 1973 are irrelvelant.
In Former Military Commander and new Florida Congressman Allen West’s weekly eNewsletter we see exactly what a soldier who has been in two wars thinks of the recent House Libya war action resolutions:
Libya is falling apart, and I shall not support our President’s violation of our law, the War Powers Act of 1973. Speaker Boehner Resolution on Libya – On Friday, June 3, the House approved H. Res. 292 by a vote of 268-145-1, I was one of 10 Republicans who voted “No.”
The resolution would establish that the President has not asked for congressional authorization, and the Congress has not granted it.  H. Res. 292 would reassert Congress’ constitutional role on funding, would require the President to provide within 14 days information on the mission that should have been provided from the start, and would reaffirm the vote Congress took last week that says there should be no troops on the ground.  I voted “No” because we are all aware of these facts as we have seen the Libya operation reach Day 74, as of this vote. By law the President was to come to Congress at or near Day 60, which he did not do. The time for requesting more reports is long past. I shall not see us commit our most precious resources, the American fighting men and women, into another undefined combat theater of operations. Libya is becoming a classic “mission creep” operation.
- Kucinich War Powers Resolution – On
Friday, June 3, H. Con. Res. 51 failed to pass the House by a vote of 148-265, I voted “Yes.”  The bill would direct the President to remove the United States Armed Forces from Libya within 15 days of adoption. This bill was in keeping with the letter of the law, the War Powers Act of 1973. ( emphasis mine)
Allen West Congressman West has not only taken a stand against the Obama administration’s illegal war action in Libya but has also also taken a stand against the cowardice of the establishment GOP in failing to denounce our involvement in the Libyan civil war today, their failure to demand it be stopped immediately.
**As a footnote here, just where is the anti-war faction of The Democratic Attack Machine and their masters in the media today? You know, the Liberal anti-war zealots who called G.W.Bush a war criminal for freeing millions of oppressed Iraqi citizens from the murderous Sadaam Hussein? When was the last time you heard anyone in the mainstream media denounce Barack Hussein Obama’s illegal war in Libya? The fact is that the D.A.M., led by the media have been largely silent about Obama’s newest war action. This type of hypocricy should be called out be all Americans, including our supposed GOP Leadership in Congress.

Allen West Rebukes Obama’s Shift on Israel

Allen West(WASHINGTON)—- Congressman Allen West (R: FL-22) released a scathing rebuke of President Obama’s shift of American foreign policy on the Isreali-Palenstinian conflict:

“Today’s endorsement by President Barack Obama of the creation of a Hamas-led Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders, signals the most egregious foreign policy decision his administration has made to date, and could be the beginning of the end as we know it for the Jewish state.

From the moment the modern day state of Israel declared statehood in 1948, to the end of the 1967 Six Day War, Jews were forbidden access to their holiest site, the Western Wall in Jerusalem’s Old City, controlled by Jordan’s Arab army.

The pre-1967 borders endorsed by President Obama would deny millions of the world’s Jews access to their holiest site and force Israel to return the strategically important Golan Heights to Syria, a known state-sponsor of terrorism.

Resorting to the pre-1967 borders would mean a full withdrawal by the Israelis from the West Bank and the Jewish neighborhoods of East Jerusalem.  Make no mistake, there has always been a Nation of Israel and Jerusalem has been and must always be recognized as its rightful capital.

In short, the Hamas-run Palestinian state envisioned by President Obama would be devastating to Israel and the world’s 13.3 million Jews. It would be a Pavlovian style reward to a declared Islamic terrorist organization, and an unacceptable policy initiative.

America should never negotiate with the Palestinian Authority- which has aligned itself with Hamas. Palestine is a region, not a people or a modern state. Based upon Roman Emperor Hadrian’s declaration in 73 AD, the original Palestinian people are the Jewish people.

It’s time for the American people to stand by our strongest ally, the Jewish State of Israel, and reject this foreign policy blunder of epic proportions.

While the winds of democracy may blow strong in the Middle East, history has demonstrated that gaps in leadership can lead to despotic regimes.  I have questions for President Obama:  ‘Who will now lead in Egypt?’ and ‘Why should American taxpayers provide foreign aid to a nation where the next chapter in their history may be the emergence of another radical Islamic state?’

President Obama has not stood for Israel or the Jewish people and has made it clear where the United States will stand when Palestine attempts to gain recognition of statehood by the United Nations.  The President should focus on the real obstacle to security- the Palestinian leadership and its ultimate goal to eliminate Israel and the Jewish people.”

Allen West vs. Code Pink Clowns, Round 4 West- 4 Clowns -0

Allen West is a Patriotic American Veteran Soldier who has fought for American freedoms in Afghanistan and Iraq. In the above video, he reminds a DNC operative of this when asked where he was five years ago. Simple minds trying to attack this Patriot with DNC- fed, Media Matters false talking points memo should take notes here, and maybe next time they won’t get such an embarrassing lesson.  Take note of the Code Pink Clown with the tape over her mouth and the sign with the simplistic third-grade chant about whether or not this is what democracy looks like.  Does this woman not see what an ass she is making of herself here?

Let’s talk about what democracy looks like, since she asks the question while dressed up like a Pink clown with tape over her mouth. Here is a suggestion, grow up lady, you look like a fool and are being used. How is that democracy shaping up in Egypt today? Answer: It isn’t, period. Maybe Code Pink needs to go BACK to Egypt and spread that fake democracy crud, while inciting riots and causing people to be killed. Code Pink was there, yet ran out when the real revolution started with the help of their urging and inciting. Strange coincidence that Code Pink was in Egypt before the revolution started isn’t it? What kind of a democracy are you supporting by participating in the Gaza flotillas in direct conflict with Isreal’s elected democracy that is trying to protect their citizens? Do only people of your choosing get targeted for your “brand” of democracy, while other’s get denied? Sure looks like it there. That make you out to be simplistic hypocrites, period.

Allen West not only handles the Code Pink Clowns very well,  but in the following video we see how he handles an Obama-puppet up in a hearing on the hill, in questioning him about Obama’s proposed executive order that would make anyone doing business with the federal government Disclose their political donations:

For The Record- What Is Racism?

I have been called a racist. I have been called a hater.

Racist I am not. Hater I am. I do not hate the person; I hate what they are doing to this country. Notice I said “they“!

I’m sure you already know who I am accused of being a racist and hater against. You guessed it! President Barack Obama! I do not hate Barack Obama. I do hate what he and the liberal agenda are doing to this nation! My issues with him have absolutely nothing to do with the color of his skin!  His skin could be white, black, brown, red, purple, yellow, orange, or polka dotted for all I care!

Let me just lay my cards on the table from the beginning.

As I have addressed in my previous article, Mr. Obama FINALLY Presents His Birth Certificate  , I have my doubts that the birth certificate that was released is actually real. With this issue it has absolutey nothing to do with the color of his skin; it has everything to do with the fact that I do not believe a single word that comes out of his mouth, as I wrote about in my article, “Liar, Liar Pants on Fire!” However, because I do not have actual proof, I am not going to waste my time going down that road. The simple fact is things just don’t add up. But, what’s done is done. The American people elected him. So be it. Enough said about the birth certificate.

As to the second accusation that I am a hater, I do not hate anyone. I strongly dislike some people, and there are many, many, many people I choose not to spend time with, I do not hate anyone. As a Christian, I strive to live by the Word of God.  (Matthew 5:44; Luke 6:27) So no, I do not hate President Obama as a person.

However, I do hate what he is doing to this country! He is systematically destroying everything that this country stands for!

For the record, he has not done this on his own. I believe he is the one to actually accomplish the goal that the liberals have been working towards for 100 years or so.

It was WHITE people who started the Liberal Agenda and have used and manipulated blacks along the way. Unfortunately, and very sadly, so many blacks have bought into the lies of the Liberal Agenda. But blacks are not the only people who have bought into their lies.

It’s interesting to me that if a black person speaks out against President Obama they are referred to as a racist. This has got to be one of the most asinine arguments/attacks/accusations I’ve ever heard! How can a black person be racist against another black person?

I guess I can somewhat stretch my imagination to the farthest ends of the earth to understand this logic if… and ONLY IF – the person was speaking out against the black President to say that the president should be white. However, if the black man is speaking out against the black President to say that he- a black man- is going to run against him, I believe that throws the whole racist argument out the window entirely. It’s just logical. But hey, that’s just me. Logical. It’s so sad that so often the liberal argument lacks common logic.

Herman Cain- a black man- is running for President as an opponent of President Barack Obama- a black man! So, Herman Cain- a black man- is essentially saying he is applying for the job of President of The United States of America- which is currently held by- wait…. a black man! I know! Shocking, isn’t it! How racist of Herman Cain!

I warned you- there is absolutely no logic in that argument!

So, for the record- to be factual in this discussion- what is a racist?

Dictionary.com defines a racist (or “racism” as the actual query results shows) as:

rac·ism

1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one’s own race is superior and has the right to rule others.

2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.

3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.
4. the belief that races have distinctive cultural characteristics determined by hereditary factors and that this endows some races with an intrinsic superiority over others

5. abusive or aggressive behavior towards members of another race on the basis of such a belief

From this definition it is very clear that Herman Cain is not a racist. I personally can say, from reading the official definition of the word, that I am not racist. In fact, if I were able to pick my perfect candidate and running mate for 2012 President, both the President and Vice President would be non-white. I will not elaborate on the reasons for my choices in this article, but will in a future article. So who would I choose? For President I would absolutely love to have Allen West.  For Vice President I would absolutely love to have Michelle Malkin.  Now, I do realize that Michelle Malkin has never breathed a word of interest towards a political position. However, this country would benefit greatly from her being in a leadership position.

The only real explanation that makes any sense to me is that the people shouting “racism” have no other legitimate argument to stand on. The last thing any normal person wants is to be called a racist. Notice I said normal person, because there are the ridiculous people out there that take pride in being called a racist. I believe these people are by far few and far between in comparison to normal people who see things factually rather than racially.

The liberals are smart enough to realize that any sane, normal person will vehemently deny being racist. This distracts from the real issues. If you can disarm the person from arguing the real issues you are essentially the winner.

The problem is this is not a game. The winners and losers are not those arguing the liberal or conservative agenda. The real losers are our children. Our future. The future of this great nation. There are no winners at all!

We truly have reached a very sad state of affairs in this country. Call me what you will- racist, hater, or any other hateful thing you choose.  I know the truth. Do you want to know what I really am? Sad. Very sad to see how far we have sunk as a nation.

Allen West vs. CAIR Round 2

Rep. Allen West held a town-hall meeting last night in Florida, and once again a representative from CAIR showed up with their standard leftist talking points disguised as questions. If  you missed the beginning of this ideological battle between LCT West and CAIR you can see it here. In keeping with CAIR’s leftist tactics of trying to discredit/ marginalise a true American Patriot such as 22-year military vet Rep. Allen West, we see that West does not back down an inch from the truth being told. This man has been there and done that, he has seen firsthand the dangers and oppression inherent in the Radical Ideology and no one is going to *blow smoke up his butt* and tell him otherwise.

Recently, a bus in Israel was blown up, one woman killed and many more injured by the so-called religion of peace. The Fogel family was murdered and a 3-year old baby had his throat slit by these same fanatics operating under the guidelines of Jihadist war against non-Muslims that is outlined in the Koran. CAIR can send every leftist-talking-point propagandist they have in their arsenal at West, but this true Patriot Warrior will never back down. Hold your ground Colonel, we have your back. In the meantime, tighten up your security, and keep your M1911 .45 handy, as these people do not like being exposed by infidels who will not bend to their will.  America needs true leadership, so watch your back please.

After being made complete fools of in their first encounter with Col. West, one would think CAIR would have learned from that tactical mistake, but no, in keeping with the leftist tactics of trying to discredit anyone with an opposite view, they sentanother misguided puppet of Islam to do try to engage in a battle of  will against Col. West once again last night. The results were quite the same, as we saw in round one of this battle of attrition, in the above linked video. Here is the West vs CAIR puppets round 2 video:

With true Patriotic Americans such as Rep. Allen West fighting for America, it certainly does look like we are Winning the Future for all Americans.
