9/11: This Mother's Heart Will Never Forget

Ten years ago, my husband and I found out we were going to have our first baby.  We were thrilled, excited and nervous. I, especially, had mixed feelings about becoming a parent. I knew I wanted to have a family. I knew I wanted to create what I had never had growing up – a family with one mom and one dad in one, stable home. It doesn’t sound that romantic, but for me it was a fantasy that I was making come true.  However, I was worried about my ability to parent. To avoid the rejection I’d experienced in my youth, I became skilled at detaching myself quickly from other people, feelings, and situations. I wanted to give my husband a family, but I worried I didn’t have what it would take to be truly, deeply concerned for the welfare and well being of a child. I didn’t want to create children who resented me because I could not love them as fully as they deserved to be loved. I wasn’t totally convinced I could be a good mother.

That was August of 2001. Three weeks later, on September 11, the world changed forever, and so did I.

I was driving into Chicago from my home of Gary, IN (30 miles southeast). I was modeling at a trade show for printing presses. Yes, it was just as exciting as it sounds. I had been driving in silence for some reason for most of my trip, but as I crossed into the city limits I turned on the radio to Mancow Muller’s morning show, just in time to hear him say, “This is not an accident, ladies and gentleman. Mark my words, you will forever remember where you were on this day”. He was talking about the passenger jet that had just crashed into the World Trade Center. As Mancow rehashed the details, I dismissed his warnings as on overreaction – shock jock talk from the Chicago personality who was famous for his conspiracy theories. Then the second plane hit. Mancow told me, and the abject terror in his voice made me begin to scan the Chicago skyline in search of wayward planes ready to fly into the Sears Tower or the center of downtown. “We are under attack, folks. America is under attack” .  I’ve been a fan of Mancow for a long time. He has a big mouth and he tells a lot of stories. I was scared, but I still wasn’t sure how serious the whole situation really was.

I pulled into the convention center lot and headed straight for the bar of the attached hotel. I needed to find a TV screen. It was packed. Strangers stood shoulder to shoulder as they watched the horror unfold before their eyes. Some people were crying. I saw the burning towers, and suddenly realized the debris falling from windows nearly 100 stories high was not actually debris, but people. I wept too. A man whom I had seen at the trade show the day before caught my eye. He knew I was pregnant and he made room at his booth for me to sit. We watched in stunned silence together. We tried to make sense of the rumors that there were more planes in the air, missiles loaded with people and fuel, ready to kill. We saw the Pentagon burning. Then the first tower fell – oh, who among us could ever forget that image? I screamed out loud and turned to my companion “Are there people in there?” I cried. He looked at me sympathetically. It was such a foolish question, but he seemed to understand that I just couldn’t process what was happening. He nodded. By that point I’d had all I could take. I was watching people, Americans, die before my very eyes and there was not a damn thing I could do to help. I hugged my still flat tummy and prayed, “Lord, I’m so scared. I don’t know what’s happening. I don’t understand what’s going on. But please, I just need to see this baby.”

September 11, 2001 – that was the first time I felt like a mother. I suddenly, shockingly understood what it felt like to be a parent; to have no other concern above protecting the life of my child; to have no other desire then to kiss and smell and hold the life that love had created; to be so desperate to shield my child from harm that I would do anything, ANYTHING to see my baby.

As American authorities slowly began to stabilize the crisis, many of us went back to work. The trade show was an international event, and for the buyers and marketers this was a terrible tragedy, but not an international one. I chose to stay and earn my day’s wage, but I stayed as close to the televisions as I could all day. My drive home that evening was lonely. It was the tail end of the typical rush hour but the famously congested Dan Ryan Expressway was nearly empty. I sailed home, and thankfully so. I needed to see my husband. I raced in the door and straight into his waiting arms. He hugged me tightly and told me he was so glad I was finally home. We were together, and that made things seem a little more tolerable for the moment. I thought about all the people all over America who were greeting each other the exact same way. Most of us were in no immediate danger and yet we all shared the same fear that day. It wasn’t just New York City and the capitol that had been attacked – America had been attacked, and we were all Americans; and we were all scared.  Suddenly, in just hours, there was no need more pressing then the need to hold who we loved – tightly.

It seems unreal that it was ten years ago. For me, the pain and the fear are still so very real.  My tears have not yet dried. I weep, still.

Mancow was right. We will all remember where we were on that horrifying morning. For many Americans, 9/11 represents the day when we were all briefly united on one accord, with one common concern and common cause. For others, 9/11 represents the day when America became more than just an idea to take for granted. For others still, it is the day when the people they loved most in the world left for work, but never returned home. For every American alive that day, it means something.

As for me, I’ll remember 9/11 as the day my whole world shifted. That is the day I experienced my first maternal pangs, the ones I had worried I would never possess. Among the wreckage and carnage and utter horror, this mother’s heart was finally born. And I will never forget that. I will never forget.

New Jersey Church Dedicates Song To First Responders & Families of 9/11 Victims

Commemorative Song Performed Live for Expected Audiences Totaling Over 2,000 at Memorial Services Held in Three NJ Counties on September 11

MORRISTOWN, N.J., Sept. 6, 2011 — Liquid Church, which engages a variety of multi-media and arts in its programs, has commissioned a new song commemorating the sacrifice and service of first responders to the 9/11 tragedy. The song titled, “There is Hope,” is being dedicated as a gift to the surrounding communities during this time of remembrance.

Tim Lucas, Lead Pastor of Liquid Church, has envisioned the project since 9/11 last year. He enlisted singer and songwriter, Dave Pettigrew, in helping to capture the spirit of the message he wanted to bring to the people. Lucas explained, “While so many of the messages in the public square look back into the past of what has happened with 9/11, we wanted to share a gift of hope and inspiration that helps us look forward again.” The song and lyrics can be previewed at http://www.liquidchurch.com/9-11/thereishope.

Pettigrew is performing live at two Sunday morning memorial services in Essex County at the John Walker Middle School in Nutley, NJ. The venue, which seats 750 people, is the site of the church’s newest campus location, being launched on the same day in a symbolic move of hope for the community. Nearly 200 local volunteers have signed-up in various capacities for the memorial services.

3,000 free copies of the song on CD are being presented to participants at all six 9/11 services in Essex, Middlesex and Morris counties.

The song has captured very positive reception so far, including various satellite radio and Internet music stations that are adding “There is Hope” into their airplay rotations. Other churches and organizations that want to use the song and accompanying music video during local commemorative 9/11 events are invited to do so via the song’s media page.

911 Remembered

Ten years ago on September, 11th, an icon of American capitalism was attacked and destroyed by Islamic Terrorists. The Twin Towers were not only representative of New York City’s modern architecture, but they were the symbol of America’s powerhouse economy, built in a country of freedom and liberty.

That was before – this is now:

Because of two Jihadist pilots, we are no longer the country we were before that day. Many of our freedoms have been infringed and virtually wiped out of our everyday life. From warrantless wiretaps to TAS’ groping searches, Americans can no longer feel free to say what they please or go long distances unmolested on airplanes. Loved ones can no longer walk to the airport gates to say goodbye to their families or friends. Our “open-door” immigration policy is still in effect and more and more terrorists have been infiltrating our country. Our Southern Border is insecure. Islamic Jihadist literature has been found in the washes used by Coyotes that bring in illegals in Arizona. Al Qaeda has set up an enclave in Mexico and established terrorist training camps there.

Historically, Muslims build mosques on the sites of their greatest conquests and they plan to do so again. Our Politically Correct government is willing to give the organization that wishes to build a mosque close to the site of Ground Zero, a sacred place of history for Americans, the money that they need to build the Muslim abomination.

We are still under attack.

The result of their attack is pictured below:

On the 10th anniversary of this vile and repulsive attack, let us take time to remember those who died there, the people in the buildings who jumped from the floors above the collapsed stairwells, the first responders who lost their lives trying to save the lives of others. Remember the families who lost loved ones that day and may not have any portion of their remains. Let us take time to pray for them.

And let us take the time to dedicate ourselves to
NEVER AGAIN!

"We Shall Never Forget 9/11: The Kids’ Book of Freedom" – Education or Hate?

We are just days away from the 10th anniversary of the day that changed America.

September 11, 2001, started off bright and beautiful for America, just as any other day. However, before the day really got started good, that bright and beautiful day turned into a very dark day.

Two thousand, eight hundred and nineteen people lost their lives that day. (The official figure as of 9/5/02): 2,819)

As each year passes, as a nation, we risk the very distinct possibility of losing the significance this day had on our nation. If you were not old enough to realize what was happening on that day, and the months that followed, you have a very different understanding of how it changed this nation.

For those who were old enough to realize the reality of what we saw on our televisions, there is no way time can erase the emotions that were experienced when those planes flew into the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and crashed in the Shanksville, Pennsylvania field.

We’ve all heard the quote by poet and philosopher George Santayana:

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

For those who do remember the past, the importance of educating those who do not remember the past is vital! Though they cannot remember, if we do not teach them what happened, we have no hope for the future.

Wayne Bell is someone who understands the importance of educating our children about the reality of what happened that fateful September morning almost ten years ago.

Mr. Bell is the publisher of Really Big Coloring Books, Inc., in St. Louis, Missouri. He has created a unique way to teach older children about the terrorist attacks on our nation with a coloring novel. It’s not just a coloring book, and it is not meant for younger children. Mr. Bell says the coloring novel is for children about the age of 9 to 11-years-old.

“We Shall Never Forget 9/11: The Kids’ Book of Freedom,” is a memorial tribute. Mr. Bell says:

“It is an informational piece to help educate children on events on 9/11. [It is] a simplistic, honest tool.”

Mr. Bell goes on to say that the novel is a “12-hour narrative of the events that happened on the day that forever changed America.” Kids can color pictures of the twin towers, President George W. Bush, Americans mourning the attacks, and other significant images depicting that day.

It’s hard to believe that an educational book could cause so much controversy, especially when it is something so important, but that is indeed what Mr. Bell is facing with his coloring novel.

It should not come as a surprise to anyone that in our day and age where political correctness outweighs the facts so often, there are many people who do not want reality to be presented.

In fact, Dawud Walid, the Michigan representative for CAIR (the Council on American Islamic Relations), calls the novel “disgusting.”

“We Shall Never Forget 9/11: The Kids’ Book of Freedom,” refers to the jihadists as “freedom-hating radical Islamic Muslim extremists.” Mr. Walid is not happy with the fact that almost all of the mentions of Muslims also have the words “terrorist” or “extremist.”  He feels that by only portraying the extremist side of the Muslim religion, a disservice is being done to all Muslim Americans who were impacted by 9-11. Mr. Walid says:

“Little kids who pick up this book can have their perceptions colored by those images … it instills bias in young minds. Muslim mothers lost sons too.”

Mr. Walid also argues that the information and pictures in the novel are incorrect. One instance he says is incorrect is that Osama Bin Laden “wasn’t hiding behind a wife when he was shot.”

However, Mr. Bell disagrees, saying the book is an “honest depiction.” He went on to say:

“The truth is the truth. It’s unfortunate that they were all Muslim and that’s the part people want to erase … I don’t know what else you can call them.”

Mr. Bell appeared on Fox & Friends this morning. The full interview can be seen here:

Boy Scouts of America Honors Anniversary of 9/11 Through Service and Remembrance

In recognition of 10-year anniversary, Scout Surge 9/11 encourages units to serve communities and watch the film New York Says Thank You

IRVING, Texas, Sept. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — For more than a century, the Boy Scouts of America has honored the United States during times of remembrance—encouraging all members to serve and contribute to the common good. Leading up to Sept. 11, when the United States of America marks the 10-year anniversary of one of the darkest days in the nation’s history, the Boy Scouts of America will once again honor the country through focused acts of service as part of Scout Surge 9/11.

Between Sept. 1 and Sept. 10, in communities throughout the nation, Scouts are encouraged to “surge” by undertaking service projects to honor those affected by the events of Sept. 11, 2001. Scout units will participate in a variety of activities ranging from American flag retirement ceremonies to projects that recognize and assist local first responders in honoring the memory of the first responders and others who sacrificed so much on 9/11.

“For the past 100 years, in times of trial, triumph, and remembrance, millions of Scouts have honored our nation through service,” Chief Scout Executive Bob Mazzuca said. “Just as they did 10 years ago, when Scouts mobilized and collected more than 150,000 bottles of water for ground zero rescue workers, our Scouts are encouraged to surge into action and complete focused service projects in remembrance ofSept. 11, 2001.”

New York Says Thank You FoundationOn Sept. 11, Scout units will invite their local communities to remember the 10th anniversary of the events by gathering to watch the movie New York Says Thank You. Started in 2003 at the suggestion of a 5-year-old boy, each year around the 9/11 anniversary, the New York Says Thank You Foundation sends hundreds of volunteers from New York City along with disaster survivors from across the country to help rebuild communities recovering from disaster. The movie chronicles the group’s efforts and features the group helping rebuild the Little Sioux Scout Ranch in Iowa, which was devastated by a 2008 tornado.

“The BSA is committed to improving the lives of young people, families, communities, and the nation—with an emphasis on service,” said Jeff Parness, founder of the New York Says Thank You Foundation. “New Yorkers will never forget what people all across the United States did for us in the days, weeks, and months following 9/11. We are proud to work with the Scouts with the shared goal of honoring and remembering the events of Sept. 11, 2001.”

Scouts are encouraged to use social media to spread the word of their projects in their local communities and beyond. They also can post service project ideas and event pictures on www.scoutsurge911.org or their council’s Facebook page. Scouts looking for additional ideas and ways to make an impact can find more information on www.actionamerica.com. More information concerning New York Says Thank You is available at www.newyorksaysthankyoumovie.com.

One of New Jersey's Largest Churches Plans Six Memorial Services Marking 10th Anniversary of September 11 Tragedy

MORRISTOWN, N.J., Sept. 1, 2011 — For the upcoming 10th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, Tim Lucas, Lead Pastor at Liquid Church, is preparing a program that incorporates a variety of arts, video presentations, music and a message of inspiration and hope for the entire community participating in the event.

One of the focal points of the memorial services is to commemorate the anniversary of the September 11 attacks through the presentation of hand-crafted, 40-pound, custom-made brass bells with the engraved words “Hope Never Quits” to representatives to the first responder community. The church is honoring those we loved and all who served from the New Jersey region. First responders to the September 11 World Trade Center tragedy, victims’ families, and all community members are invited to the special memorial services in Essex, Morris and Middlesex counties.

Together with everyone who gathers, the church will hear a message that honors those who died, including firefighters, police officers and emergency personnel in a way that connects the past and future. Lucas explained, “The message we want to bring to our communities is that our future is secure, because hope never quits.”

New Book on Radical Islam Declares: ‘This Is the War of Our Generation!’

Dr. Jim Denison Explains to Westerners ‘Why Muslims Still Hate Us, What We Can Do’

DALLAS, July 26, 2011 — On the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, author and educator Jim Denison explains in his new book, “Radical Islam: What You Need to Know,” that the greatest threat our children have ever faced is Muslim extremism. “The battle waged against the West by radical Muslims is the war of our generation,” Denison says. “Killing bin Laden doesn’t end this war.”

James C. Denison, Ph.D., is a cultural apologist, building a bridge between faith and culture by engaging contemporary issues with historical, scientific and biblical truth. He founded the Denison Forum on Truth and Culture (DFTC) in February 2009 and writes for “The Dallas Morning News,” contributing weekly to the “Texas Faith Forum.” He currently serves on the board of the Baylor Health Care System and as chair of the advisory board for Dallas Baptist University. Denison is former senior pastor of Park Cities Baptist Church, a 10,000-member congregation in Dallas.

Dr. Denison’s daily cultural commentary is made available around the world to thousands of subscribers. It offers a faith perspective on topics as varied as medical ethics, the 2012 election, the Casey Anthony trial, gay marriage and many more topics.

“The events of 9/11 are still painfully raw for many,” said Dr. Abraham Sarker, former Muslim and founder and president, Gospel for Muslims, who has worked alongside Denison in his native Bangladesh. “Ten years later, questions remain about the world’s fastest-growing religion and the worldview of its 1.6 billion adherents. Jim Denison’s book provides a timely, insightful interpretation of this movement in our times. His understanding of radical Islam is accurate and balanced. His intellectual brilliance and excellent communication skills engage and support readers in navigating these complex issues.”

“Radical Islam” begins with a look at Osama bin Laden, the Al Qaeda leader killed in May in a U.S. Special Forces raid in Pakistan, and examines the ramifications of bin Laden’s death, including whether it was just. The book goes on to explain what distinguishes radical Islam from the rest of the Muslim world, then addresses basic questions: “Where was God on 9/11?” and “How Do We Win This War?”

“It’s been my privilege to know and befriend Muslims from six continents through respectful dialogue over the past 30 years,” said Denison. “But the fact remains that the threat of radical Islam is even more real and dangerous than it was 10 years ago. Osama bin Laden is dead, but his story isn’t over. His followers are more resolved than ever.

“This book is a primer that tells Westerners what they need to know about this threat, why radical Muslims still hate us and what we can do about it.”

Denison briefly touches on basic Muslim beliefs before focusing on the two tenets that distinguish radical Islam. First, extremists contend the West has been attacking Islam since the Crusades, and therefore Islam must be defended through violent attacks. Second, radical Muslims believe all Westerners are complicit in the ongoing siege of Islam because of their participation in a democratic society, and therefore in terrorist attacks on the West there are no innocent victims.

Faced with this worldview, Denison writes, both Christians and secular Westerners must act. He offers practical ideas on how to handle the threat, including praying for Muslims and supporting Christians from Muslim backgrounds.

“Radical Islam” will be available in August as a trade paperback for $13.99 and distributed by Wescott Marketing. It also will be available as an e-book Aug. 15 through all major e-book sales sites.

The first chapter, which explores bin Laden’s life and whether his death was just, along with an opportunity to subscribe to Dr. Denison’s daily cultural commentary, are available at http://www.dftc.co/presskit.

“Radical Islam” is the first in the “Unlocking the Truth” series of books offering a spiritual perspective on key cultural issues facing America. Denison is also the author of six books, including the most recent, “Wrestling with God: How Can I Love a God I’m Not Sure I Can Trust?” by Tyndale House Publishers.

The Denison Forum on Truth and Culture (DFTC) (http://www.denisonforum.org) exists to engage contemporary culture with moral truth. Founded by Dr. Jim Denison in 2009, the Forum responds to issues through a variety of communications and channels, including a column in “The Dallas Morning News,” daily online cultural commentary, Baylor Health Care System board membership, books, articles and speaking engagements.

George Bush Takes High Road on Obama’s Attempt to Politicize Osama’s Death

Unconfirmed reports say that the White House invited former President George W. Bush to ground zero with President Obama in celebration of the slaying of Osama bin Laden.

David Sherzer, President Bush’s spokesman, said, “President Bush will not be in attendance on Thursday. He appreciated the invite, but has chosen in his post-presidency to remain largely out of the spotlight.

While the White House will neither confirm nor deny that Obama had extended an invitation to the former leader, George Bush’s announcement is certainly an indication that such an offer was made.

Obama needs a ground zero moment like President Bush’s famous and inspiring speech after the towers fell.

George W. Bush was, if nothing else, genuine. He was not an effective fiscal Conservative, he was not the eloquent speaker Mr. Obama is, but he was real. I will never forget the moment that his Chief-of-Staff came into the grade school classroom and whispered in his ear that America was under attack. The composure, the realization that this was his to manage and that there was little he could do in the next few minutes, so let the kids have their moment – all of it. George Bush’s approval ratings went through the roof.

President Obama’s ratings are dropping off of a cliff and the recent announcement of Osama’s death hasn’t really helped all that much. Now Obama is searching for the poll bump that Bush never needed nor wanted – but got.

I believe that President Bush bowed out because he did not believe that this moment should be turned into a circus, or carnival if you prefer Mr. Obama’s phraseology. I believe that he sees this for what it is and would never sully the images of thousands of lost Americans by turning the killing of foreign terrorist into a re-election campaign stop.

President G.W.Bush is genuine class.

The Reality Of The Situation In This Country

It appears that we have hit a new low in America. I just read an article via The Blaze that says according to the search engine results over the last couple of days, teenagers do not know who Osama Bin Laden is. I wish I could say this surprises me, but it doesn’t.

I remember in the months before the 2010 mid-term elections there was a “man on the street” style interview with different people and the majority of them interviewed had no idea who anyone in politics was, outside of Barack Obama. There were even people who didn’t know who Joe Biden was.

However, you show them a picture of “The Situation”, and oh my goodness! They knew immediately who he was! In fact, if I remember correctly, one woman even talked about how “hot” he is.

Ironically, I had not a clue who “The Situation” is before that segment! I had to look it up and when I found out he is a reality show star I was appalled!

The reality of the situation in this country is very disturbing.

So the question comes down to this: Who do we have to blame?

The answer to this question is wide and varied, I’m sure.

Obviously, education starts at home. Unfortunately, too many parents see the TV as their babysitter, so from a very young age our children are sat in front of an electronic box spewing mostly garbage. And our children are soaking it up like a sponge!

As they get older they are usually allowed to watch things that children have no business watching. They are being educated alright, but they are being educated about things they shouldn’t know until much later. And though they may be watching TV, or being on the internet as they get a bit older, the thought of checking out the news is foreign to them.

Then there is the education system. They are too busy teaching our children about Earth Day, being “green”, that capitalism is “evil”, new math which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, and all the other various junk that they have no time for actual education of facts. Therefore, discussing news and world events that are actually relevant are ignored, all the while they shovel in the propaganda that is now classified as “news” but simply serves to further the leftist agenda.

And then there is our current administration. While I must say President Obama gave the best speech of his entire presidency Sunday night, he speaks out of both sides of his mouth. In January of 2009, President Obama said that it was “no longer necessary to kill Osama Bin Laden”. To his credit, he did say at that time that it would be his preference to “capture or kill him”, but it was no longer “necessary”.

Add in the fact that our President refuses to acknowledge that these are terrorists with ties to the Muslim religion, and up until very recently refused to even say it is terrorism, choosing rather to make it all sweet and mushy by  renaming  it “man-made disasters”. It is no wonder why most of this younger generation coming up has no clue what is going on and why killing Osama Bin Laden is news worthy all over the world!

The ever famous quote by poet and philosopher George Santayana should be a lesson to us. “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

America, we have allowed our schools to be taken over by the leftist agenda. We have allowed a box to teach our children right from wrong, and the boxes right is more often than not our wrong! If this news story does not wake us up then I don’t know what will. What can we expect? We’ve become so complacent as a nation!

It has been not quite ten years ago that the attack of September 11 happened. Yes, in respect to capturing and killing the man who orchestrated these attacks, 10 years is a very long time for him to be free. However, ten years is nothing in the scope of history. If our kids do not know current history, how in the world do we expect them to know the history of this great nation?

We are indeed doomed to repeat our past if we do not take this seriously immediately and make the necessary changes to prevent this from happening! While there are many bright and beautiful things in our nation’s past, there are also some very dark times as well. Unfortunately, it appears as though we will more than likely repeat the darkest part of our past if things don’t make some drastic changes fast!

America, it’s time to wake up! I don’t know how many more warnings we are going to get!

Bin Laden’s Death: A Lesson in Media Malpractice

Radical Muslim terrorist and 911 mastermind Osama Bin Laden has reportedly been killed in Pakistan recently.  Depending on where you went to look for information on this story, you could have  seen many different accounts on what has supposedly  transpired in this much-anticipated event.  There is a good account of these discrepancies here , written by our very own PolarCoug,  including 5 updates.  As has been the constant pattern of media manipulation and misinformation coming from the Obama administration, this episode brought about record levels of incompetence and buffoonery from the very beginning. Bin Laden was first reported to have been killed in a bomb planted by a U.S. ground operation, then it was reported that a drone strike killed him, and finally we were told that he was shot in the head by a U.S. Navy Seal team six special forces operator. Throw in the fact that Obama was late to his own news conference, leading to some news agencies breaking the story early and incorrectly, and we now have the makings for another episode of the ” Who really killed JFK ” conspiracy theory type big Hollywood melodramas.

So, let’s take a look at some of the possible reasons for the sure to come rampant speculation about what really happened here. First of all, there is no longer a body to offer as proof Bin Laden is dead, due to his body reportedly being dumped at sea in observance of the Muslim tradition of a burial within 24 hours of death.  Surely they had the time to collect hair samples and take blood for DNA testing to ensure this murdering Muslim is no longer a threat to the United States, yet we are not hearing anything more than the use of face-recognition software being the basis for the proof ofBin Laden’s death. Color me curious here, but that simply isn’t good enough to prove to me that Bin Laden is actually dead, period. DNA would go a long way towards actually giving Americans some closure here, acknowledging the fact that we had the body, yet disposed of it due to supposed religious reasons.

Secondly, there is the problem of the CIA and the U.S Military being involved with an assassination on foreign soil to be dealt with. Bin Laden was reportedly killed in Pakistan, and now we are hearing that Pakistan has now ramped up their demands for the stoppage of the use of predator drones in their country, a very effective tool in the fight against radical Muslim terrorists, including the Taliban and Al-Qaeda in the region. The CIA reportedly tracked Bin Laden to the luxurious mansion hideout, where Seal Team Six eventually killed him. Will this lead Eric Holder, the Department of In-Justice hypocrite, to indite his pal Obama on war crimes charges for being the Commander in Chief of the U.S. military that carried out an assassination on foreign soil ? That is simply not going to happen in our lifetime.  This also leads us to question just how committed the Pakistani government truly is helping rid the world of Muslim terrorists, while accepting billions of dollars from the United States to allow them to operate in the region.  It is just not believable that Osama Bin Laden was living in a luxury mansion in Pakistan without the Pakastani government knowing it.  That would be akin to Al Capone moving into a luxury Condo in Washington D.C. without the FBI knowing he was there.  We can also look forward to the next hushed up information about another multi-billion dollar payment of our tax dollars going to the Pakistani government very soon, as our own government needs their cooperation in spinning this story in a way that makes in believable to the American public.

In conclusion, this gigantic episode in the death of America’s most hated enemy is far from over, due to misinformation and the stench of a massive cover-up. With something this important to the thousands of  family members who lost loved ones, and the American public in general, one would think that our very own President, Barack Hussein Obama, could make an honest, truthful announcement about what really transpired here.  That just didn’t happen, when we look at all the conflicting information here. Stay tuned, as I,m sure the media propagandists will get their Obama- mandated stories straight eventually.

Holder Vows to Pursue Terrorist Show Trials

U.S Attorney General Eric Holder was in the news recently in an attempt to  announce what most Americans already knew, that there will be no show-trial for 911 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Khalid Mohammed will be tried at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in a military tribunal, as Congress and the majority of Americans demanded in the first place. In six short months Americans will mark the tenth anniversary of the 911 Muslim terrorist attacks on the twin towers in N.Y.C. that resulted in the deaths of over 3000 innocent people. This has been ten long years of disgusting political posturing  and an obvious overabundance of incompetence on display here, that further undermines the credibility of the U.S. Government, and specifically the Department of Justice.

The current news headlines seem to carry the message that most Americans are so uninformed today, that they will believe that this was Eric Holder’s grand decision, based on some long, tedious study of the situation, yet when we take a closer look at the facts, we learn that the U.S. Congress, at the direction of the American public, made it clear that there will not be millions of taxpayers dollars made available for this planned show-trial. Holder’s former law-firm will not be enriching themselves at the taxpayers expense, as was already noted here . That article was written on March 8th, so Holder’s announcement is nothing but old news, and it was not, in fact, his decision. In reality he has fought for the terrorist show-trial since early 2009, and President Obama announced that the military trials would start back up last month. So what could possibly be the motive for this big announcement across the news waves yesterday?  How about the fact that Holder is telling the American public that there will be expensive, lawyer enriching civilian show-trials of terrorists in America in the very near future, as we see here from The Hill.com:

Holder said Monday that he has “full faith and confidence” in the military commission system and that the Department of Justice will support the Department of Defense’s lead on the cases. Holder said that DoJ would continue to prosecute other suspected terrorists in civilian courts. (emphasis mine)

Let me be very clear — our national security demands that we continue to prosecute terrorists in federal courts, and we will do so,” said Holder

So there you have it folks, the Attorney General of the United States of America says that it doesn’t matter that Congress says terrorists should be tried in military trials, or what the taxpayers feel about it, he will move forward with expensive show-trials of terrorists in the future. Holder also had to get a  campaign plug in for Obama breaking his promise to close Gitmo, and stated that these military trials will probably extend the time that Gitmo is kept open. What he fails to say there is that if he had proceeded with the military trials that had been prepared for for many years, that would be a non-issue as far as extending Gitmo.  Now it is being used as an excuse for Obama’s broken campaign promise.

This has been nothing more than a politicized battle over one simple thing, and that is the fact that these are enemy combatants who were waging war against the United States, and therefor should be tried in military courts. Holder, on the other hand, views this as a chance to placate Muslims while at the same time enriching his crony-lawyers at the expense of the taxpayer. Both democrats and republicans have expressed their desire and reasons to continue with the military trials, and evidence of this is found further on in the above linked Hill.com article:

Smith, King and other Republicans argue that suspected terrorists should be treated as enemies captured in the theater of war, and therefore tried using military commissions. But the administration has held that U.S. civilian courts are adequately equipped to handle the cases.

Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), a vocal opponent of holding a civilian trial for the suspects in New York, said he supports the move.  “This means with certainty that the trial will not be in New York. While not unexpected, this is the final nail in the coffin of that wrong-headed idea,” he said in a statement.

When Eric Holder brags about how thoroughly he has studied these terrorist cases, and how he knows this case better than our Congress who have held numerous hearings and investigations into thismatter, we only have to look at the outcome of the last civilian trial under the direction of Eric Holder to see what results are achieved. Just last year, after millions and millions of taxpayer dollars for the trial of admitted murderer and terrorist Ahmed Ghaliani for the bombing of two U.S. embassies in Africa, we saw Ghaliani acquitted on more than 224 counts of murder and numerous other charges.  So much for Eric Holder’s vaunted version seeking any form of true justice.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed May Not Face Trial

In a startling affront to the American sense of justice, the Obama administration’s inability to make a decision will more-than-likely delay Khlaid Sheikh Mohammed’s trial past the 2012 election and possibly longer.  FoxNews reported Sunday morning that the administration is now signalling that it will not try Khalid until at least after the 2012 election and perhaps not at all.  The New York Post seems to confirm this report:

Khalid Sheik Mohammed is likely to stay in military detention for an undetermined time – possibly until after the 2012 elections, the Washington Post reports.

The White House has suspended plans to try Mohammed in federal court because elected officials in New York strongly protested the idea, the paper says, citing senior White House officials who asked to remain anonymous.

Obama has been struggling with the 9-11 mastermind’s legal disposition ever since he chose to vacate Khalid’s guilty plea simply because it was given in a military tribunal.  A fair trial that gave Khalid more chance of a defense than the thousands of innocent workers he killed on 9-11.

Obama’s plight is purely political, much like him.  He is trying to appease his extreme left-wing progressive supporters by holding a civilian trial in New York City, but is facing criticism from the moderate majority in the Democrat party.  He can give the progressives what they want and experience Tsunami: part II in 2012 or he can give the moderates and Conservatives what they desire – a quick military tribunal for an act of war – and he will likely lose the progressive and socialist factions in his party that most match his politics.

It appears that the families of the victims of Khalid’s attack will not see justice until President Obama and Democrats lose control of the White House and Congress.
