Study Shows: Routine Prostate Cancer Screening Not Reducing Deaths

Researchers now claim a new study reveals that yearly prostate exams are not reducing the number of cancer related deaths. The new study questions the legitimacy of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) testing, which is used to screen men for prostate cancer. The issue was brought to light recently as multiple studies observed similar conclusions.

The study followed 76 men, between the ages of 55 to 74 years old, for 13 years. For six years, half of the men received digital rectal exams and PSA tests to screen for prostate cancer. The other half continued care with their regular doctors and they are considered the control group.

It was discovered by researchers that more men in the screening group had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, but there was no difference in how many had died from it. According to Reuters, 13 years after the start of the study, 4,250 men who’d undergone annual screening had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, compared to 3,815 not in the screening program.

Philip Prorok, from the National Cancer Institute said, “Men, if they’re considering screening, should be aware that there’s a possibility that there’s little or no benefit (and) that there certainly are harms to PSA screening.”

Critics say the study is fundamentally flawed because men in the control group could have received PSA screening from their regular doctor, as part of standard procedure for men 50 or older. The conclusions would be affected because men in this group should have actually been counted in the screening group. One urologic cancer specialist not involved in the study, said that was a serious flaw. “It ends up being a study of intensive screening versus fairly intensive screening,” he said. “You can’t really make sense of it.”

Perry Stays In The Race

Not to be deterred by a poor 5th place finish in Iowa last night, Texas Gov. Rick Perry tweeted the following:

And the next leg of the marathon is the Palmetto State…Here we come South Carolina!!!

Perry spokesman Mark Miner said Perry would stay in Texas until Friday. After that he will head to New Hampshire and participate in the two debates this weekend and will then head to South Carolina.

It was confirmed he will continue his bid for the nomination even though Tuesday night he said “With the voters’ decision tonight in Iowa, I decided to return to Texas, assess the results of tonight’s caucus … and determine whether there is a path forward for myself in this race.”

A CBSNews report stated Perry told reporters in West Des Moines, Iowa, he thought the Iowa caucusing process was “loosey goosey” and that he was looks forward to competing in “actual primaries.”

“This wasn’t a hard decision,” Perry said. “[Iowa] is a quirky place, a quirky process to say the least and we’re going to go into places where they have actual primaries and there are going to be real Republicans voting.”

Armed 8th Grade Student Killed By Police In Texas School

Today in Brownville, Texas Police shot and killed a 15 year old who engaged them in a hallway at Cummings Junior High School  .

After receiving a call at about 8 a.m, that a student had a weapon, police rushed to school. Authorities said officers confronted the armed student in a hallway who pointed his weapon at them prompting them to shoot him three ties. No other injuries were reported.

The school was placed on lock down as soon as police were called. The school remained that way for two hours after the incident as SWAT searched every room to confirm no threat remained. One student said he was two classrooms away when he heard the shots. Parents were called and told to pick up their children and students  followed police out of the building boarding buses to be taken to a nearby park.

Detective J.J. Trevino of the Brownsville police said  its still being determined by investigators if the student fired any shots and they had no information why the student brought the gun with him. “It’s still under investigation, as far as how he came about to bringing the weapon or if he encountered anybody or anything else”.

The student, who’s named has not been released, was declared dead at the hospital and an autopsy has been ordered.

Herman Cain Speaks the Truth on Abortion

Herman Cain got into some hot water the other night on the Peirs Morgan show over his comments on abortion. Mr. Cain’s problem is one that I find quite refreshing, he tells the truth.

The truth about abortion, such as it is, is that ultimately it is the mother who will make that choice, just as Mr. Cain said. They were making it long before Roe v. Wade, and they will make it long after Roe v. Wade is overturned, if it ever is.

The context of Mr. Morgan’s question was, to this author’s hearing, under current law. He asked Mr. Cain what he would do if his granddaughter was the victim of a rape and had become pregnant. Mr. Cain replied that the choice was ultimately up to the family involved.

Cain released a statement the following day in which he said “As to my political policy view on abortion, I am 100% pro-life. End of story. I will appoint judges who understand the original intent of the Constitution. Judges who are committed to the rule of law know that the Constitution contains no right to take the life of unborn children.

I will oppose government funding of abortion. I will veto any legislation that contains funds for Planned Parenthood. I will do everything that a President can do, consistent with his constitutional role, to advance the culture of life.”

In truth, the only choice the government can make about abortion is whether it is done safely and legally, or in a back alley as it was before the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade. If the other candidates don’t understand that it is because they believe in a fantasy land where the law is universally obeyed. It would be nice if that were the case, but to see the reality, one only needs to look at how successful we have been in the war on drugs. The ultimate choice to take illegal drugs still lies with the individual.

It is extremely refreshing to have a candidate who understands the real world, and how it works. It is refreshing to hear him speak honestly about that world. The crowd inside the beltway seems to lack Cain’s insight, and the result is that they pass law after law with horrendous unintended consequences and seem utterly unable to see it. Herman Cain is a real man for a real America.

Is the United States still a Moral Power?

We’ve all heard that the Palestinian bid for full United Nations membership has to go to the Security Council first. We also all know that the United States has threatened to veto this bid.

What is a disturbing footnote to this story is that the US is attempting to avoid using it’s veto power.

However, officials in both Israel and in Washington have affirmed that the U.S. was hard at work to prevent itself the possible embarrassment of being forced to use its veto power in order to thwart the Palestinian vote, by attempting to assemble enough council members to either vote against the proposal or abstain as to make the veto unnecessary.

Why is the United States trying to avoid using their veto? Perhaps they are trying to keep the Arab world happy with them by not throwing their wholehearted support behind Israel? But then again, wasn’t the “Arab Spring” all about replacing totalitarian dictatorships with “freedom” and “democracy”? Shouldn’t the Arab world show their appreciation to the United States for bringing those basic concepts to the world at large?

Rather, what we see is the United States’ public face turning away from the principles that have made us great. We see a fearful stance – trying to have it both ways – keeping the Arab world happy by attempting not to use their veto, and keeping the Israelis happy by stating their support for the Jewish state.

Where is the United States’ clear support for an ally of 60+ years? Words are cheap. Statements of support are easy to make. The US should be clear that they are vetoing this Palestinian bid without any attempt to find a way out of it.

Since when has the United States become a “follower” rather than a “leader” in the moral-relativity zone known as the United Nations? The US has been the moral compass of the world for years and now it seems that our needle is broken. We’re willing to relinquish that leadership role.

Is this where we’re headed? Is the US the same as every other two-bit nation that holds a seat at the United Nations? Are we no longer the power that we once were – too afraid of Arab and world “opinion” to do the right thing?

I certainly hope not.

Lipton vs. The Burqa

In a stunning announcement that will guarantee King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia a place in history next to Susan B Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Nancy Pelosi….. well….

OK, his worship has decreed that, starting in 2015, women will gain the right to run and vote in local elections for the first time in the history of the kingdom.  Of course, they still can’t drive or show their faces in public, but they will have the right to dip their fingers in the purple ink.

In his announcement that came at his annual address to the Shura Council, the king said, “We refuse to marginalize the role of women in Saudi society and in every aspect, within the rules of Sharia.”  Evidently driving a car doesn’t fall into the category of “every aspect”, but it is significant progress.

Municipal elections are a fairly new phenomenon in Saudi life as it is, as the institution was not established until 2005.  So in the grand scheme of things in the oil rich country, 10 years doesn’t seem all that bad.

Indeed, this is a significant leap forward for the women of Saudi Arabia.  Abdullah, who is considered a reformer, may have used the act to placate Saudi women, especially in light of the massive unrest that has swept the region.

It is not my intention to belittle the women’s courageous stance or the king’s forward thinking (which actually is pretty radical for that area of the world).  What I do want to point out is how the White House invariably will release statements applauding the king’s actions, but will continue to malign the “Tea Party” as racist, sexist, homophobic and bigoted.

To date, no one who has truly been affiliated or even loosely associated with the Tea Party Movement, has ever demanded our women cover their faces; no one has ever demanded that they gives up their drivers licenses (I REALLY could make a woman driver joke here but…) and, contrary to some media reports and democrat insinuations, NO ONE in the movement advocates racism, sexism or any other discrimination – as demonstrated by Herman Cain’s victory in the Florida Republican straw poll last Saturday.

Will their ever be a time when our politicians, on both sides, will return to intellectual honesty?  Yes, celebrate with the women of Saudi Arabia who, after centuries of inequality, are getting a glimpse of freedom, but let’s keep it in perspective and realize that just because your political opponent doesn’t want to run up ungodly debt, it doesn’t mean they are bigots.

So, if you are going to praise the Saudi king for his actions, be prepared to do so for Americans who just their country live on for their kids.

Let's Be Blunt- Presidential Debates Are Boring

Let’s be blunt.  The format of the Presidential debates, whether in the primary or the general election seasons, is boring, lacking in quality content, and generally just painful to watch.  These problems are caused by two major factors:  The ineptitude of the American media establishment, and the lack of attention paid by the American electorate.

There are obviously other problems with the system, but those two causes, together, are the root of the problem.

The media take it upon themselves to make or break candidates.  They believe, quite wrongly, that they are the arbiters of American politics.  They do have a job to do, of course, but it isn’t what they think it is.  It is the media’s job to present all the facts about the various candidates.  They are supposed to look into each candidate’s background and history and present an accurate account of who and what each candidate is.  This is a job the media abandoned long ago in favor of thinking themselves king makers.

The media still research candidates, but they pick and choose what information to release.  They sift through pages and pages of documents centering on candidates they collectively hate (Sarah Palin, anyone?), but choose to gloss over and ignore glaring problems with candidates they adore (Barack Obama).  This is where the second portion of the root problem comes in.

The American public simply doesn’t give a damn.  A large swath of the American electorate vote for candidates based on press coverage, good looks, or for a chance to make history.  These voters don’t vote for candidates based on credentials and convictions.  This explains why someone could vote for Ronald Reagan in 1984 and then swing around and vote for Barack Obama 24 years later.  These voters don’t have values.  They vote for a candidate based on that candidate’s popularity or on what that candidate promises to give them.

All of this leads to Presidential Debates that never actually address real issues.  The questions asked by the media are often irrelevant, softballs for candidates they like, or purposely loaded to cause a candidate issues no matter how he or she answers the question for candidates they wish to destroy.

The media also can determine which candidates get the most camera time and which ones get ignored.  That shouldn’t be up to them.

There was one “debate” during the 2008 season that I found intriguing and refreshing:  The Rick Warren Debate.  In this format, each candidate was asked identical questions and each candidate could not hear his opponent’s answers.  This debate gave a clearer insight into the positions of John McCain and Barack Obama than any other.

I would support having each debate conducted in such a format, but I would take it one step further by eliminating the audience as well since those audiences do not really represent every day American voters.  They are “invited guests” of the various candidates and as such, biased.  The job of the person asking the question should them be to make sure the candidate actually answers the question and follow up as necessary.

Then, after that question and answer period, the candidates will be brought together, given a topic and turned loose on it.  The proctor will control the time each candidate speaks, but that’s it.  Every candidate will have equal time with each topic to give their position and debate each other.

Of course the media wouldn’t allow for changes such as these.  They would cause debates to be boring and actually cause more Americans to tune out.  At least, that’s how the argument goes.  Perhaps the opposite would be true.  If Americans started seeing questions that actually mean something, politicians that actually answer questions instead of dodge them, candidates actually turned loose to discuss topics amongst themselves, and all candidates treated equally, interest in those debates might actually increase.

It’s nice to dream sometimes.  Too bad that’s all it actually is.

Unhappiness Abounds

A careful review of various opinion articles across the web revealed one common theme from columnists on both sides of the aisle:  a complete unhappiness with President Obama.

The right is unhappy with him, primarily because they have always perceived him as a Marxist ideologue, while the left’s unhappiness is a relatively new phenomenon rooted in the fact that they feel the President compromises with the evil Republicans too often.

The President is in the midst of preparing what has now become the biggest speech of his Presidency.  He has painted himself into a corner and now he must deliver a speech that is heavy on details and light on rhetoric.  That task might prove to be very difficult for this President because he rarely likes to embrace such detail-oriented oratory.  Instead, he likes to paint with a broad brush and leave it to others to fill in the gaps.  Case in point is the healthcare debate.

The issue now is jobs.  Americans want them and they, however wrongly, expect the Federal government to deliver them.  The only weapon Obama has at his disposal is the same old Keynesian tactics that he’s already tried.  He now either has to abandon what he’s always known, or double down on what he’s already tried.  It is very unlikely that Obama will find salvation and turn from his wicked ways, so we’re left with more of the same from him.

That’s where the problem lies.  To those on the right, any more Obamanomics will accelerate the destruction of America, as we know it.  The Republican candidates will have a field day with further big-government program announcements.

To the left, Obama isn’t going to go far enough, but he will still try.  It is likely that Obama will propose a very large stimulus package; perhaps even as much as double the cost of the last one, in a not-so-subtle effort to appease his base on the far left.  Obviously, he knows that the Republican House of Representatives will never pass such a plan.  In fact, he is counting on just that.

Obama wants to blame the faltering economy on the Republicans.  If he can propose a grand plan that he knows the House will reject, he can then lay blame squarely at the feet of John Boehner and the Tea Party, while at the same time, he can tell his base how hard he tried and that the Republicans just wouldn’t pass his plan.

It is a huge gamble, of course, but it really is the only card Obama can play if he hopes to have a shot at being re-elected next November.  The question is, will the American people fall for it, again?

Mother Nature’s At The End Of Her Rope

All mother’s have had “one of those days!”  There’s no specific rhyme or reason for what is the “straw that broke the camel’s back”, but invariably it happens. It may be something so insignificant that everyone around her wonders if she’s lost her marbles. Rarely is it something of real importance that is the final tipping point.

No one really knows exactly what it was that tipped the scales for Mother Nature, but this past Tuesday she had “had it up to here!”,  as the saying goes!

Maybe it’s just that e the “little things” have been piling up for so long and she finally decided enough is enough.

For years she’s listened to to Al Gore as he rants about about “global warming“, “climate change“, or whatever they are calling it this month. She just rolls her eyes at his ridiculous drama. Just like any Mother, she can recognize a snow job a mile away! She knows Al isn’t concerned about what mankind is or isn’t doing to affect the future, and all he cares about is making money. It’s just another one of those gimmicks! As any mother knows, actions speak louder than words. ABC News let her in on the inconvenient truth about Al’s wasteful habits! In 2006 he spent more than 20 times the national average of on gas and electricity for his home. For a man who supposedly cares so much about her, he sure doesn’t mind being wasteful! Typical politician!

So we know it wasn’t anything to do with that argument that set her off on Tuesday.

Over the years, she’s had numerous “Come To Jesus Meetings” with a few people here and there, but she’s not really blown her stack.

Until this week!

She’s tried to give these people the famous “Mother Look”-  from time to time, as a reminder that they were getting close to crossing the line with her! You know the looks I’m talking about!. She never had to say a word- she said it all with the look in her eyes. They knew they were in trouble. They would settle down for a bit. They started getting out of line again, and the beginning of this year she sent several blizzards around the country to let everyone know she just needed some time to cool off!

While things really did not get any better, she had to decide how to approach things this time. She finally decided what to do. Fine, she thought- they think this global warming mess is so wonderful, let me just show them! So she sent this record breaking heat wave across the nation. That really should have done the trick! She covered the extreme cold and the extreme heat.

But evidently they needed a little bit more to get their attention.

That’s when she decided to give them a little bit of a warning in Denver. She threw a bit of a wrinkle in the earth’s surface Tuesday morning with a 5.3 magnitude earthquake in Colorado. Oh, I know… earthquakes happen every year, right? But they are not frequent in Denver.

But she realized that Denver wasn’t getting her message across.

The idea was to make sure she got everyone’s attention so they would all know she means business!

Since Denver’s earth shaking didn’t get enough national media attention, she decided to really shake things up. Tuesday afternoon, she hit the East Coast. It was a “business as usual” kind of day. Meetings were going on, a commercial was being shot, Congress was meeting, there was a press conference going on with some kind of “official Washington business”. She had everyone right where she wanted them. One thing she did not think about was how many people would have flashbacks of the worst day in modern American history when the affects of her temper tantrum were initially felt. She had a moment of regret immediately after her 5.8 magnitude earthquake rattled the entire East coast. She apologizes for not thinking about that, and realizes she should have stopped to think about the fact that we are just a couple of weeks or so from the 10 years anniversary of September 11, 2001! She realizes now that her timing wasn’t perfect, she just wants everyone to know she means business!

But as usual, one of the main people she wanted to get the attention of was not in the place she hoped would get her message loud and clear! She is kicking herself in the butt that she didn’t check her calendar, because President Cap and Trade was chillaxin’ on the green in Martha’s Vineyard, not in the nation’s capital! She really wanted to see his face, to see if he was going to listen to her this time! He is the leader of the one of the two most blessed nation’s on earth! Dang that Martha! She got to witness his reaction in private! But that’s OK, Mother Nature still got Washington’s attention! These politicians are so hard headed! Maybe this will make them stop and think before they start messing with her again!

Then again, maybe not.

As is typical, there’s always a smarty-pants in the bunch. She’s wondering if this jokester realizes he’s playing a dangerous game with a Mother who’s very close to the edge.

That’s ok. They may think this is something to laugh about now, but if they are not careful they may get more than they bargained for with Mother Nature! She really does seem to be at the end of her rope!

She’s thankful that hopefully she did get her message across to at least a few people. She’s overheard various discussions, and is quite proud to hear that some of them actually “get it.” Maybe the “Come To Jesus Meeting” helped after all!

One person commented that the founding father’s collectively rolled over in their grave, causing the earthquake. Just like any good mother, there’s room to credit the fathers as well. They’re all in this together!

She heard another comment that Jay Carney said it was the weight of Obama’s approval rate hitting the ground. She’s ok with that explanation. If he would only listen to reason, he would know his policies are not what will help matters! She’s tried to tell him she’s stored up plenty of energy, he just needs to take Sarah’s advise and DRILL BABY DRILL! But no, he just won’t listen! She’s tired of wasting her breath on him. He’ll figure it out, or he won’t. It’s his choice.

Someone else said that so many who voted for Obama in the last election changed sides, tipping the balance, causing the ground to give way. Like Larry the Cable Guy says, “that’s just funny there, I don’t care who ya are!”

But all joking aside- these are the ones that actually “got it” before she decided to shake things up a bit.

All the others who are not getting the point better tread lightly with her! She’s not afraid to get real drastic if the need arises! She’s serious when she’s said she’s had enough! I’m hoping to get the message out to everyone to watch out. WHATEVER you do, you DO NOT want to make her count to three! That very well may be disastrous for us all!

She’s already talked with Irene who’s making her way up the East Coast. She knows everyone is watching the news. She’s hoping she will not have to have Irene help her out with this one. She wonders, “Why, oh why won’t children listen and learn their lesson?!”

She’s trying to warn them- they best listen up! She really doesn’t want to have to ask Irene unleash her wind and rain! But if they keep pushing her……..

Who says a Mother’s not in control of herself?!

It’s what you call tough love! It’s not easy, but any good Mother knows that’s what it takes sometimes!

The New Enemy, Part II: Marxism

My last article introduced you to collectivism and its fallacies. In this article, I hope to explain Marxism and how it has intruded into the United States.

Background

Karl Marx was born in 1818 and he died in 1883. He was trained as a philosopher, and he studied political and economic theory on his own. He became very interested in “class struggle” while he was in college. When he graduated in 1841, he was hired by the “Rheinische Zeitung,” a German newspaper, to be their editor. It is here that he began his public life. When he wrote an editorial column with his opinions concerning the life of peasants, he was labeled a communist by his opponents. He was terminated from the position due to the claim. This situation caused him to go to Paris where accusations continued, mainly from the French and Prussian governments.

Beginning in 1843, he began to develop his political philosophy. The process took 40 years. His intentions were to liberate wage earners and workers from the capitalist system of 19th century Europe. His main point was the elimination of private property, which was the means of production, and it would be put into the purview of the “people” aka, the government that would be set up based on his economic and political principles.

In a close relationship with Fredrich Engels, he further developed his economic and political philosophies. These included a call to a revolution of the workers which he deduced had been the sole producers of wealth due to exploitation.

Both Marx and Engels were forced to leave Paris due to their writings. They traveled to Brussels, Belgium where they co-wrote The German Ideology. Marx’s next publication, The Poverty of Philosophy, was an analysis of French Socialist thinking. These two publications formed the basis of Marx and Engels’ The Communist Manifesto, which is the most famous of their collaborations.

The Manifesto was first published on February 21st, 1848 in London and was written in accordance to the wishes of the Communist League, a collection of German émigrés that Marx had won over to his philosophy.

An Overview of Marx and Engels’ Philosophy

A spider conducts operations that resemble those of a weaver, and a bee puts to shame many an architect in the construction of her cells. But what distinguishes the worst architect from the best of bees is this, that the architect raises his structure in imagination before he erects it in reality (Capital, vol. 1, chap. 7, pt. 1).

Philosophy is an examination of basic concepts such as truth, existence, reality, causality and freedom. Early in his career, Marx developed a political-economic philosophy based in part on the works of Ludwig Feuerbach who had been a student of Hegel. He later abandoned Feuerbach’s line of thought and began to develop his theory of historical materialism.

“Marx and Engels’ vision was a purely materialist interpretation of human nature and development within nature that called for revolution. It represented a materialist view of history, based on the dialectic that supported Marx’s theory of political economy and his call for revolution. The interpretation distinguished itself because of its theory of surplus value, which asserted that the wealth of capitalist societies originates solely from the exploitation of laborers. Marx’s analysis of history saw human development as occurring due to a series of class struggles between the ruling class,[and] those who possess the means of production. To Marx, feudal lords, land owners and capitalists were pitted against the ruled working class. This claim is summed up in the opening line of The Communist Manifesto: ‘The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggle.’ Marx predicted the demise of capitalism through a workers’ revolution that would lead to a utopian ‘classless society’ where, according to Marx, ‘people work according to their ability and get according to their needs’ and ‘in which the free development of each is the condition for the free development of all.’” (From: The New World Encyclopedia)

The Communist Manifesto was a collaboration of Marx and Engels which called for the communists of Europe to unite and publish their ideas, their political and economic aims, because the different organizations were a force of their own. They divided the population into the bourgeoisie; the people who owned the land and factories and other businesses, and the proletariat; those who worked on, or in those facilities.

As a result of the Industrial Revolution, people left small craftsmen’s shops and flocked to the big factories in the cities for employment. Working conditions were horrendous and wages were low. Fires were common and people lost their lives in factory accidents due to improper training and employees not paying attention to what they were doing as well as unsafe factory environments. Unions used these conditions to form in order to start the workers revolution that Marx and Engels envisioned. Unionization, in fact, led to many changes in the atmosphere of the factories as well as being a link between the worker and upper management or the owner in order to negotiate wages.

Marx’ historical analysis of the relationship of the classes produces an ever changing landscape; bourgeois and proletariat changing places in the social order throughout the history of mankind. Lenin adopted the Marxist idea however, he made elemental changes to Marx and Engels’ theories and conducted a successful communist revolution.

The Manifesto contains the seed of Marxism which once planted, grows into a form of altruism that cannot be accomplished without violence, re-education camps and government control of subject’s thoughts, speech, living conditions and reasons for imposing equal misery throughout the population. The only exceptions to the rules of Marxism/Altruism are the ruling class.

Within the Manifesto are ten conditions designed to destroy the capitalistic system of free markets and replace them with a communist-socialist system that sports an all powerful government. These are called The Ten Planks of Communism.

The Ten Planks of Communism

The Ten Planks of Communism are essential when setting up a Communist Government in countries that are targeted by organized people. The destruction of Capitalism is the main goal of communism in order to impose their vision of Utopia on the population. Each generation of statists claims that despite the historic failures of socialism and communism, they know how to set the system up better than the previous people who tried it did.

The Ten Planks are usually introduced incrementally into the legal system of the targeted country by twisting the meaning of words within the governing document.

One of the first things that collectivists do is change the language of the country they are attempting to take over. By changing the language, leftists can highjack words whose definitions are the exact opposite of their meaning, for example; liberal used to mean someone who is for the free market system, aka capitalism, as well as a limited government, now it is someone who wishes to impose the theft of producer’s money, governmentally and it’s redistribution to those that are “less fortunate;” this requires a big government bureaucracy  Another word that has been abducted is gay for homosexuals. Studies show that the majority of homosexuals are anything but gay.

Other conditions apply to the gradual take over of a society. Political Correctness and Multi-Culturalism are but two more of the necessary twisted views necessary to overcome freedom loving people.

Marx designed The Ten Planks of Communism as an assessment of a society as to whether or not it was practicing the communist ideology.

  1. 1.      Abolition of private property and the application of rents from all land usage to public coffers. Zoning is the first step of a government to take over all private lands. The requirements of the EPA are designed to outline not only what land can be used for, but imposition of environmental impact regulations.
  2. 2.      A heavy graduated income tax. The 16th Amendment to the Constitution established in 1913 needs no explanation. Imposing the highest percentage to be paid by the rich is called “paying your fair share.”
  3. 3.      Elimination of all Inheritance Rights. This has been accomplished by Federal and State legislation, arbitrary inheritance taxes.
  4. 4.      Confiscation of property owned by emigrants and terrorists. There are many ways this element of the Ten Planks has infiltrated our legal processes, the most widely used being Asset Forfeit Law. The IRS, DEA, and ATF are the most frequent imposers of forfeit laws.
  5. 5.      Centralization of credit in the hands of the government, by means of a central bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly. The Federal Reserve is a privately owned bank which controls the credit and debt system of the USA. It issues paper fiat money and practices economically destructive fractional reserve banking. All banks belong to the FDIC which is another privately owned corporation.
  6. 6.      Centralization of communication and transportation. There are numerous Federal agencies to control these areas of our infrastructure. The FCC, FAA, DOT; these are but a few of the controlling interests that the Federal Government has set up.
  7. 7.      Extension of factories and instruments of production under the control of the central government. The cultivation of wastelands and the improvement of the soil generally used in accordance with a common plan. We have the Department of Agriculture and the Desert Entry Act control and subsidize our “wastelands” and privately owned farms. The following agencies also control land usage as well as overseeing the compliance of businesses to regulations: the Department of Commerce and Labor, Department of Interior, the Environmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Mines, National Park Service, and the IRS control of business through corporate regulations
  8. 8.      Equal liability of all to labor. The establishment of groups of laborers, especially for farmlands. This plank is adhered to by minimum wage laws and trading with foreign countries that use slave labor, such as China. We see it in practice via the Social Security Administration and the Department of Labor, the national debt and inflation caused by the communal bank has caused the need for a two “income” family. the 19th amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, assorted Socialist Unions, affirmative action, the Federal Public Works Program, Child Labor laws and Executive order 11000.
  9. 9.      The combination of farmlands and industrial producers along with the gradual elimination of the division of city and country through population redistribution. The zoning laws we have contribute to the implementation of this plank. The Planning Reorganization Act of 1949 as well as several Executive Orders provide not only for forced relocation of the population, but also for forced sterilization programs.
  10. 10.  Free education for all children including a combination of education and industrial production. The elimination of all child labor in factories, as well as other businesses including a family owned business. When the founders established this country, schools were privately funded and publically accessible to all children. Now, we have government at all levels intruding into our established educational system. The NEA is responsible for teaching Marxism in the schools, from colleges on down to child care centers. Even our private schools are regulated. Children are taught that the State is more important than the individual. This process has been going on since the mid 1800s when many German and Prussian philosophers were evicted from those countries. They came to America and received posts in our top colleges and universities. Their emphasis on collectivism has filtered down through our educational system reaching all citizens     at this point in time.

As you can see, there are many ways that Marxism has been absorbed into America’s culture and society. I have left the Unions out of this discussion on purpose as I plan another article on how unions were not necessary and how they were the communists’ foot in the door to our capitalistic economy.

Even though we believe we are free, we have implemented every one of Marx and Engels’ guidelines in the formation of a communist government. Not only do we have to vote the established politicians out of office, we are obligated to insist that the most harmful agencies to our freedoms are dismantled. They may have to be taken apart incrementally but the end game should be the total elimination of all of them.

None are more hopelessly enslaved, as those who falsely believe they are free….

The New Enemy Part I: Collectivism

What the men who wrote our constitution had in mind was a government based on Individual Rights, one that was a government not based in power, but in responsibility to its constituents. This collection of extremely intelligent and well read men put together the finest governing document that had ever been written and it remains a blueprint for other countries to base their constitutions on. I believe that Divine Providence intervened and brought the most intelligent men on the American Continent together to produce this exquisite document.
At the time of the Founding of the United States of America, Engels and Marx had not written any critiques of their philosophy of collectivism. This is not to say that there were not societies that practiced collectivism before the Communist Manifesto was published. One look at some of the city states of Greece answers that question. One of the attributes of Great Britain that our Founders fought against was a hereditary succession wherein the inheritor was not guaranteed to be as smart or as wise as his predecessor. This type of government, monarchy, invested all the power of the state into the king or queen, with or without a parliament that suggested laws to be passed. The American Revolution was also based on the iniquity of taxation without representation. Now, we find ourselves fighting a different kind of evil, the malevolence of statism, collectivism or Marxism.
Where did the organized philosophy of Collectivism start? Many will say it started with Engels and Marx treatise. However, the foundation of this socio-economic philosophy came from many men before them, but the most influential writings for Marx and Engels were those of Ludwig Feuerbach. He served to be a bridge from Hegel to Marx and Engels. Feuerbach thought of himself, along with others, to be the herald of a new culture. His later writings were concerned with developing a materialistic humanism and an ethics of human solidarity.
Marx and Engels were materialists who were trying to bring about social change by way of a political and economic ideology. All of Marx’s early writings are based in Feuerbach’s theory of human nature. Later writings of Marx indicate a break with Feuerbach, but his initial influence is what Marx used to continue down his philosophical road. It is the collectivism of Marx and Engels that the left wing of the Democratic Party, and several “liberals” in the GOP, has foisted upon the people of this country.
Collectivism has come to mean many different things. We are all part of the collective of human beings that live on Earth, the 3rd planet from the sun in the Solar System named Sol, in the galaxy of the Milky Way, in the Universe. Focusing on earth, we have many collectives all over her surface. There are Europeans, North Americans, South Americans, Chinese, and so on. Further down into our small cosmos there are Germans, Chinese, Americans, Brazilians, Peruvians, Canadians and on down to each of our communities. And communities can be broken down into neighborhoods, which can be categorized by race, ethnicity, economic fortunes, the young, the old. In other words, each person on earth belongs to not one collective, but numerous ones.
Some collectives are not immoral, but a result of a person’s birth circumstances. The collectives that people choose to join are not all malevolent. Some are, such as the NEA teacher’s union. Some people are forced into collectives or put into the pigeonholes of identity by virtue of human attributes, such as skin color. Marxism requires humans to be seen as part of a group of people so as to more easily manipulate them into doing what the power mongers desire.
The aim of the engineers of the collective in the United States at this time is to make every single citizen dependent on the government for everything, much like the set up that was tried in the old Soviet Union. Forget that that model didn’t work. The Utopians will tell you that the Soviets didn’t run it correctly, and they will this time, and they will achieve nirvana.
In order to control people, there are certain requirements that the “masses” must adhere to; the inability to question what they are told, the “herd” mentality which must be instilled into the people at a very young age, the fundamental changing of the language, engaging in rhetoric rather than logical arguments to certain philosophical ideas and altruism must be part of the process as well.
“Individualism is at once an ethical-psychological concept and an ethical-political one. As an ethical-psychological concept, individualism holds that a human being should think and judge independently, respecting nothing more than the sovereignty of his or her mind; thus, it is intimately connected with the concept of autonomy. As an ethical-political concept, individualism upholds the supremacy of individual rights…” — Nathaniel Branden
“The foundation of individualism lies in one’s moral right to pursue one’s own happiness. This pursuit requires a large amount of independence, initiative, and self-responsibility.
“But true individualism entails cooperating with others through trade, which facilitates the pursuit of each party’s happiness, and which is carried out not just on the level of goods but on the level of knowledge and friendship. Trade is essential for life; it provides one with many of the goods and values one needs. Creating an environment where trade flourishes is of great importance and great interest for the individualist.
“Politically, true individualism means recognizing that one has a right to his own life and happiness. But it also means uniting with other citizens to preserve and defend the institutions that protect that right.” — Shawn E. Klein
“Collectivism is defined as the theory and practice that makes some sort of group rather than the individual the fundamental unit of political, social, and economic concern. In theory, collectivists insist that the claims of groups, associations, or the state must normally supersede the claims of individuals.” — Stephen Grabill and Gregory M. A. Gronbacher
“Collectivism means the subjugation of the individual to a group — whether to a race, class or state does not matter. Collectivism holds that man must be chained to collective action and collective thought for the sake of what is called ‘the common good’.” — Ayn Rand
As you can see from the quotes, collectivism and individualism are very different. Collectives are groups of individuals working for the good of the group and are usually at the expense of the individual. The collective is seen as an identity having the power to think, have ideas, have a purpose and is able to act to bring about this purpose. This is what we as freedom loving citizens must fight on a daily basis in our personal lives and in our political system. The statists have taken over our congress and the White House. Never before in the history of the United States has our culture been under such fierce attack.
We are told in order to be “good people” we must sacrifice our hard earned money to satisfy the altruistic ideals of the left wing. We are told that all cultures are equal when they are not. The Democratic Party has turned into the Socialist Democratic Party. They have turned Blacks against whites, creating a voter base of approximately 99% of the Blacks that vote. They have turned Hispanics against Blacks and Whites, creating another voter base that primarily votes for their candidates. They have turned the poor against the rich, making them think that they are entitled to the fruits of the rich person’s labor. Corporations have been demonized as taking your hard earned money and giving their CEOs outrageous salaries and bonuses which they could not possibly work for. And they have turned a great number of people against the Republican Party by using demagoguery.
Our fight must be on all levels of the political system of our country. We must take over the city halls, the town counsels, the states’ congresses and Governorships. We must throw out those that have become comfortable in the jobs that they feel entitled to. We no longer have any statesmen; however, there may be a few in the House of Representatives and the Senate at this point that may become Statesmen. The Democratic Party has had more time than the Republicans in control of the Federal Government and they have filled the judgeships of the Federal courts with far left wing ideologues and activists. This is most important to change as the courts are now making law instead of reviewing bills from the Congress as to their Constitutionality.
We start by changing the language back to what it means. A is A. Gay is not homosexual. How do you explain to your children at Christmas time that the song that has the line, “Now we don our gay apparel” doesn’t mean we dress up like the deviants in the streets of San Francisco? We don’t allow ourselves to be called “racist” when in fact the left is the racist party and hell-bent to keep blacks on the welfare plantation, and to put as many illegals and Hispanics on welfare as they can get to become dependent.
We continue by calling the left what they are, not liberals, but statist, socialists, collectivists, Marxists. We do not back down from our principles. We continue to go to Tea Parties and to invite our neighbors, who may be old line Democrats like Zell Miller, or Ed Koch, to go to those Tea Parties with us.
We must not hire anyone who is against our ideals. They will only use your hard earned money that you pay them for their hard work to further the ideology of the hard line left. Do not do business with those that are ideologically on the side of the killers of our culture. Do not buy GE light bulbs or any other product they sell. We must not listen to the mainstream media, they lie.
Do not borrow money from any bank or other financial institution that accommodates Sharia Law. The Muslims and left have joined hands to take over the United States of America, and when that is accomplished, the Muslims who are committed to following the hate of the Koran will start by beheading those that supported their infiltration into this country. Look at what is happening in Europe to see what the future of the United States will be if we do not stop the cultural takeover of our country.
We must legally and constitutionally rescind every law that any Congress and any occupant of the White House have foisted on the citizens of this great and unique country. Get rid of the Alphabet Soup Agencies that make law by memo. Start with the EPA as it is the main offender to our inherent right to property, and is the most dangerous entity to our businesses as well as our homes. The abomination of Obama Care must be thrown out with all the trash and burned in the incinerator! We may have to do this incrementally, as it was foisted upon us, but don’t allow anyone to tell you we can’t get rid of the laws or agencies because they are firmly ensconced in the government. If you have a diseased organ, you cut it out.
Do not join unions or allow them into your business. Try to break unions out of all Public Service areas. Read conservative political commentary, books, magazine and websites. One of the most important books to know what is happening in our country is The Road to Serfdom, by F. A. Hayek.
And last, and most important, do not entrust your children to the Indoctrination System of the Public School Educational System. Home school them, send them to private schools and make the sacrifice to accomplish this goal. Teach your children conservative values. Do not allow them to read Heather Has Two Mommies or any other book that promotes the deterioration of the American Culture. When they are ready to go to College, try to send them to Hillsdale.
We have our work cut out for us. I know this outline is a lot to do and it may seem overpowering. But it is not. Unite with your conservative friends to develop strategies useful to your goals. Attend city counsel meetings as a group. Be vocal in your newspapers. Start a neighborhood walk wherein you print out 10 or more copies of the articles that you find on the net telling the truth about the antics of the Congress Critters; put them in the hands of your neighbors and tell them how it will affect them on a personal level. (Don’t put the paper in the mail box. That is illegal.)
If we cannot overcome the insidiousness of the left at this point in time, I am certain that we will not pass to our children and grand children the America we know and love.
Keep the Gadsden Flag in mind, and use it as your mantra: DON’T TREAD ON ME!
