Klobuchar is “Minnesota Nice” …in name only!

Should a sitting senator be praising a 9/11 truther?

Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) is often billed as the “Minnesota-nice” senator who makes great hot dish. She is soft spoken and is quick to flash an unassuming smile. It’s a great cover for a woman who pals around with communist revolutionaries, George Soros lackeys and union thugs who would like to destroy capitalism and the American way of life.

At a Labor Day weekend event hosted by Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) and headlined by 9/11 truther, self-described communist revolutionary and disgraced former White House advisor Van Jones, Sen Klobuchar spoke to a crowd of about 50-75 union members, campaign staffers and activists. She began her prepared remarks with a story of a Chicago women’s conference where she and 2,000 other women swooned for Van Jones.

Along with union powerhouse and president of Soros-backed Center for American Progress John Podesta, Jones and Klobuchar were speakers at an event called “Good Jobs, Green Jobs” in 2009. It’s unclear whether she was referring to this event as Klobuchar has appeared several times with Jones.

Van Jones has long been a 9/11 truther and signed a petition/statement blaming the Bush administration for the attacks. Jones is seen in this video (click link) at the 4:38 mark speaking at a rally on September 12, 2001 where speakers openly blame Americans for the 9/11 attacks. Jones claims, “We have something stronger than bombs; we have solidarity. That dream of revolutionary change is stronger than bombs.”

Jones has a rather lengthy history of radical behavior and hateful rhetoric as seen here: In His Own Words.
One of the more notable quotes is as follows:

“I’m willing to forgo the cheap satisfaction of the radical pose for the deep satisfaction of the radical ends.” – Van Jones

Klobuchar spoke to a reporter with the Associated Press recently where she spoke of the upcoming election.

“Reach out to independents and to Republicans. Find the common ground,” she said. “Because when the choice is so stark as it is in this election, you will find friends and supporters in places you never expected to find them.”

Senator Kloubuchar has obviously chosen to align with a radical 9/11 truther who seeks revolution to change the American way of life. Is that really who Minnesotans want representing them on Capitol Hill?

Klobuchar’s press secretary did not immediately return phone calls for comment.

Jones Doubles Down

Self-described communist revolutionary and ousted Green Jobs Czar Van Jones is continuing with his hate-filled rhetoric accusing republicans of killing people for political gain.

Jones appeared on MSNBC this morning and responded to a question about the upcoming presidential election. “[The election] feels like a fear election,” Jones said asserting that “both sides are afraid of what the other side will do.”

He could be right, especially since Jones himself, an advocate and activist for the current administration, reiterated his hateful and accusatory rhetoric that republicans are allowing “bodies to pile up.”

Obviously Jones is confident this kind of violent hate-speech will resonate with potential voters. As keynote speaker at an event hosted by Representative Keith Ellison (D-MN), Jones accused republicans of “allowing people to drown” and stepping on the oxygen tube, in order to win an election.

The company you keep…

At a Labor Day weekend barbecue in Minneapolis, Representative Keith Ellison (D-MN) hosted some big talent to speak to a crowd of about 50-75 that consisted mostly of union members, public employees and campaign staffers and volunteers. The keynote speaker was self-described communist revolutionary, former Green Jobs Czar for President Obama and “9/11 truther” Anthony “Van” Jones.

Jones was well-accepted by the crowd and spent time before the scheduled program to answer questions and take photos. Though Jones was clearly being measured in his talking points, he was mostly polite and friendly, that is, when he wasn’t calling republicans “assholes,” which he did more than a couple of times.

Various speakers preceded Jones including several candidates for state offices and Senator Amy Klobuchar who is being challenged by Republican Kurt Bills. Klobuchar seemed to blush when praising Jones in her prepared remarks. She told the story of a conference in Chicago at which the two spoke and women lined up just to give him their phone numbers. Almost smitten, she was obviously proud to know and work with him for several years.

Ellison shared in Klobuchar’s fawning and began his introduction of Jones by saying that when he looks for progressive policy advice, he turns to Jones’ books, Green Collar Economy which extolls the idea that wealth should be redistributed via green initiatives, and Rebuild the Dream which focuses 4 chapters on the Occupy movement. Ellison said he turns to Jones’ work in magazines and other publications because in Ellison’s opinion, Jones is the “leading intellectual force in this country when it comes to progressive politics.”

Ellison is the Co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus which lists among its many socialist goals a commitment to the UN Millennium prjoect and redistributing wealth via legislation, to nudge companies and individuals into a green economy.

Jones, who has in the past said, “white polluters and the white environmentalists are essentially steering poison in to the people of color communities because they have a racial justice frame,” spent about 20 minutes delivering typical democrat talking points, claimed republicans want dirty air and water, and highlighted his speech with accusing republicans of allowing people to drown.

Comparing republicans to life guards without a job and the president as the currently employed life guard, Jones said this election is like a tsunami on the beach.

“We were watchin’ the flooding; … and I’m still praying for our friends in the Gulf… It would be like you had a big tsunami coming through, and people were drowning. And you sit back and say, ‘the more bodies on the beach, the more likely they gonna fire the lifeguard. And I’m getting the life guard’s job.

… Rather than coming together during the emergency, and helping my country… Imma going to try to hurt. Imma cut the lifeline. Imma stand on the oxygen tube… Because the more bodies on the beach, the more likely they are to fire the life guard.”

On the heels of disgraced and recently fired Yahoo News chief David Chalian’s comments about republicans being “happy to have a party while black people drown,” one has to wonder if Jones prepared his remarks to keep that narrative alive.

Following Jones’ address, the crowd was treated to some live music. In honor of Labor Day, the crowd was handed laminated lyrics sheets and joined in singing labor songs including “Ain’t Gonna Let Nobody,” a song about racial divide and Jim Crow.

Minnesota is no stranger to communists and radical leftists. Even the governor has ties to the likes of Van Jones. Do the people of Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District know the company their representative is keeping?

Again with the gray hair thing? Really?

In March 2009, the mainstream media and left-wing blogs seemed obsessed with whether or not President Obama had been coloring his hair. ABC News led with “Is Obama Going Gray?” while the Huffington Post plastered “Presidents Gone Gray!” on their front page. The New York Times went with “For Young President, Flecks of Gray.” Television, newspaper and online news sources couldn’t get enough before and after photos of the newly inaugurated president and some even interviewed the official White House barber.

However, this wasn’t the first reference to Obama’s coif. It had been a popular topic of conversation on the campaign trail as well.

At the Al Smith dinner in October 2008, then candidate Obama blamed Hillary Clinton for his grey hair saying, “She is the primary reason I have all this gray in my hair now.”

Months earlier at a rally in Indiana, he told seniors to “watch out” because he’s going to look older.

“The gray is coming quick,” he told supporter in Colorado over the summer. “By the time I’m sworn in, I will look the part.” – Minneapolis Conservative Examiner

Fastforward to the latest fundraising email from the Obama campaign. In an email titled “Gray hairs,” the president claims that he had “significantly fewer gray hairs” than he does today and that Michelle teases him about it, saying he “earned” the gray.

Perhaps the president is auditioning for a Just For Men commercial, but should anyone really care about the president’s hair? In the context that it speaks to the incredible vanity and Hollywood mentality of the president, maybe we should. He has consistently displayed extreme vanity and self-promotion, lacking in humility.

The distract-with-gray-hair-strategy has proven successful in the past with media types picking up on the insignificant “news” story and consequently distracting from economic, foreign affairs and scandal stories that with any other president would have been front-page-worthy. Time will tell if the gray hair meme has any breathe left in it, but the Blaze has it posted today, complete with before and after photos.

Ellison’s Campaign Cash Hypocrisy

Representative Keith Ellison has been making a public push lately to get “money out of politics.” According to Ellison, there are far too many donors contributing money to political campaigns outside their own districts.

“In a state of only six million people, $60 million was poured into the race, $50 million of which went to Governor Walker. And almost half of that was spend by outside groups — most of them not based in the state of Wisconsin.” – Rep. Keith Ellison, Huffington Post Op-Ed, June 2012

The congressman is up for reelection this year and has raised over $1 million for his 2012 bid. Ellison holds a significant fundraising advantage over his competitor, retired Marine Chris Fields.

Like a puppy who hasn’t quite got the hang of potty training yet, the administration is still struggling with decorum and behavior befitting the office of the presidency.

In a move best described as presidential potty mouth, the official twitter account of President Barack Obama posted “Still a BFD” hours after the ruling on the Affordable Health Care Act, obviously referring to the hot-mic incident at the bill’s signing. Vice President Joe Biden displayed a little diarrhea of the mouth whispering, “this is a big f—ing deal,” on live television.

Apparently, the official “tweeter” for the president failed to see the backlash from a social media faux pas courtesy of Democrat National Committee Executive Director Patrick Gaspard that occurred earlier in the day. Several hours before the president’s juvenile tweet, Gaspard took to Twitter to gloat saying, “it’s constitutional. B-tch-s.”

Gaspard later apologized, but the obnoxious statement had already been re-tweeted over 1,500 times.

Keeping the lack of class and complete disrespect for the office of the presidency going, Obama Campaign Manager Jim Messina proceeded to send a hasty email from the official campaign address just a few hours later with the subject line, “Let’s win the d-mn election.” The short content of the message repeated the vulgarity as if to prove beyond doubt the act was intentional and well-thought.

Perhaps the president, his campaign staff and the DNC could take a manners class to learn proper language and respect. In the meantime, I’ll continue to line my new puppy’s crate with the newspaper stories about the presidential potty mouth. I’d be willing to bet he’ll be potty trained faster than the president can fix his behavior.

Pulitzer Winner Breaks Law Daily

Jose Antonio Vargas has been making the rounds on the talk show circuit promoting his new book and is garnering a wealth of attention… while breaking federal laws in the process.

Vargas, according to his own mini-autobiography published in the New York Times in June 2011, arrived in America at the age of 12 when his mother shipped him off to live with his grandparents who had immigrated legally from the Philippines. Vargas’ grandfather, “Lolo,” obtained fraudulent documents for him so he could travel and then attend school in the San Francisco Bay area. He remained unknowing of the fraud for 4 years.

“One day when I was 16, I rode my bike to the nearby DMV office to get my driver’s permit…” writes Vargas. “But when I handed the clerk my green card as proof of US residency, she flipped it around, examining it. ‘This is fake,’ she whispered. ‘Don’t come back here again.'”

Like any other teenager unaware of the situation his mother and grandparents had bestowed him, he was confused and proceeded to ask for an explanation from Lolo, only to learn that the document was in fact falsified and he was living in the United States illegally.

Vargas says he faced many challenges trying to assimilate and become as American as possible. He wanted to perfect English and lose his accent. He wanted to fit in and get a job in America. He again leaned on Lolo.

“Using the fake passport, we went to the local Social Security Administration office and applied for a Social Security number and card. It was, I remember, a quick visit. When the card came in the mail, it had my full, real name, but it also clearly stated: “Valid for work only with I.N.S. authorization.”

When I began looking for work, a short time after the D.M.V. incident, my grandfather and I took the Social Security card to Kinko’s, where he covered the “I.N.S. authorization” text with a sliver of white tape. We then made photocopies of the card. At a glance, at least, the copies would look like copies of a regular, unrestricted Social Security card.”

The New York Times editors failed to ask for more details about this, but should have. Social Security cards are blue. They have a specific design on them. Covering a portion with white tape would most certainly distort the image to look completely fake. Perhaps his first few employers like Subway and the YMCA should also have done a bit more digging.

Nevertheless, the fraudulent card was getting so easy to use that Vargas admits after a while, he began checking the citizenship box on I-9 forms (one of the documents federally required of new employees to ensure legal citizenship/immigration status). He claims he was nervous about getting caught – so he understood it was wrong – but that he kept doing it anyway.

Vargas attended San Francisco State University on a scholarship that Vargas admits “was not concerned with immigration status.” He sought out avenues to avoid bringing attention to the fact that he was breaking the law on a daily basis.

In early 2002, Vargas sought the help of an immigration lawyer who told him that to become a legal US citizen, Vargas would have to return to the Philippines for 10 years and then return legally with documentation.

Apparently, as an adult, fully aware of the consequences of his actions, Vargas chose NOT to obey the law. In fact, he downright ignored it. What he did next can only be described as intentional defiance of state and federal laws with complete disregard for morality.

“…I spent an afternoon at The Mountain View Public Library, studying various states’ requirements. Oregon was among the most welcoming — and it was just a few hours’ drive north,” remembers Vargas.

Using a false permanent address, some fraudulent documents, a photocopied Social Security card and his college ID, Portland, Oregon gave Vargas a driver’s license.

“I knew what I was doing now, and I knew it wasn’t right. But what was I supposed to do?”

As justification for his crimes, Vargas basically whines, “I was paying state and federal taxes…”

Perhaps Vargas should remember that simply paying taxes doesn’t make you American, nor does it make your actions justified. Perhaps Vargas should also consider that he was and continues to benefit from the taxes paid just like legal US citizens. Roads, fire protection, a federal military, etc. have all been available to him regardless of his being unlawful.

Vargas claims the license meant a great deal to him because it allowed him to drive, travel by plane and work. What is he doing now? How is he able to make it to all those television interviews to promote his new book? If he is using that license (or a new one since that license was set to expire last year), should he not be stopped by the TSA when trying to board a plane? Or perhaps the television shows or stations are flying him by private jet? Still, it begs the question, “how has he not been arrested for repeatedly breaking the law and being so open about it?”

Vargas has worked as an employee for the Washington Post, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Philadelphia Daily News and the Huffington Post, all with the help of falsified documents. He has also likely been paid as a freelance writer/contributor and has made documentary films, which aren’t free. I wonder if he’s ever filled out a 1099 form and turned it in to the IRS by April 15th? If so, I wouldn’t believe its truthfulness.

Bombshell Video! They knew in 2009

“Under the President’s leadership,” opens Deputy Attorney General David Ogden in a White House press briefing from March 2009.

Ogden and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano take nearly 4 minutes explaining the efforts at the Mexican border to curb violence and unlawfulness. The two clearly outline how under the direction of the President, the Department of Justice was to increase gun tracing.

The Right Scoop has the video here:

What did they know and when did they know it? Thanks to their own words, (and The Right Scoop for reminding us) we know it was before March 2009… long before the murder of Brian Terry.

Free Market Advocacy Group spending big money this season

The commonly held thought that the general public doesn’t pay attention to political issues until the fall months has been proven shattered.  Americans For Prosperity, a nationwide issue advocacy group, is breaking the mold when it comes to educating the public by launching a multimillion dollar ad campaign and grassroots activist effort well before “election season.” And according to AFP President Tim Phillips, it’s gaining momentum.

“We’re in Montana now on a bus tour and the crowds are big. The response is significant,” says Phillips. “Traditional thought that people only pay attention at the end isn’t true any more.”

Capitalizing on the stunning statement made by President Obama that “the private sector is doing fine,” the newly released AFP ad includes shocking statistics to back up their claim that the president’s economic policy is failing the American people.

Phillips acknowledged President Obama’s attempt to walk-back the statement for political reasons, but asserted that Obama’s true feelings about the private sector were clearly revealed in the president’s off-the-cuff remark.

AFP has targeted several states including Florida, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and others for both the huge ad buy and “on the ground” efforts to mobilize citizens.  They plan to expand door-to-door activity and phone banks as the campaign season rolls on.

“Americans For Prosperity is a genuine longterm grassroots organization to stand up for economic freedom,” continued Phillips. “We plan to make a big difference.”

ABC’s Questionable “News” on Rubio

Florida Senator and rising GOP superstar Marco Rubio got a gut-punch today when ABC’s Jonathan Karl dropped an opinion piece on the media giant’s news website insinuating that Rubio is not being considered by the Romney VP search team.

“…knowledgable Republican sources tell me that Rubio is not being vetted…” says Karl. “He has not been asked to complete any questionnaires or been asked to turn over any financial documents typically required of potential vice presidential candidates.”

Coincidentally, Rubio’s autobiography American Son was released just hours before Karl dropped his baseless and anonymous claims. He is also scheduled to appear at a fundraiser for a Romney PAC.  Karl’s timing is interesting, to say the least.

Other ABC “News” commentators and quasi-reporters picked up on the piece and spun off multiple blog posts, “reports” and Twitter updates within hours.

The Karl piece cites no specific informant, and more importantly, makes no direct assertion that Rubio is not on the short list of potential running mate.  In fact, if you can stomach reading the piece to the middle paragraphs you will find the Romney campaign and Rubio have refused any official comments, despite the misleading headline.

So because he hasn’t submitted reports and the campaign refuses to say anything publicly, Rubio is automatically off the short list?  It’s only June…  Karl has successfully created a news story out of thin air.

Asking leading questions and making insinuating remarks is not “news.” ABC has committed journalistic fraud by asserting there is a story where there is none.

Ellison’s Money Problems

Representative Keith Ellison has a problem (or 2) with money in politics.

In a recent op-ed for the Huffington Post, the co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus blames “big money” (aka: corporations and super PACs) for Republican Governor Scott Walker’s recall win in Wisconsin. He announced plans to introduce a constitutional amendment to overturn the Supreme Court ruling on Citizens United which he claims allows for unfair election funding practices.

“In a state of only six million people, $60 million was poured into the race, $50 million of which went to Governor Walker. And almost half of that was spent by outside groups — most of them not based in the state of Wisconsin,” says Ellison in his op-ed.

Back in Minnesota though, Representative Ellison is raising “big money” for his own congressional campaign and it’s not all from individual citizens of Minnesota’s Fifth District.

According to a recent fundraising letter sent by Ellison’s competitor, retired marine Chris Fields, Ellison has raised and spent over one million dollars thus far on the 2012 election, with more than 80% of donations coming from outside Ellison’s district.  FEC reports show large numbers of donors from California, New York and Washington, DC.

Ellison holds a 20 to 1 fundraising advantage over his competitor due in large part to the hundreds of thousands of dollars raised by Political Action Committees, some funded by the very “special interests” Ellison is pushing to silence with his amendment.

His own fundraising efforts seem to be in direct contradiction to his political rhetoric.

“The Wisconsin election shows that we will not have a government of, by and for the people as long as we have politicians who are bought and paid for by special interests,” says Ellison.

Using this rationale, are we to assume that Representative Ellison is beholden to his own special interest donations?

Does Holder need a time-out?

Attorney General Eric Holder and the Department of Justice have quite a To-Do list these days.

The Fast & Furious hearings

Sue Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona over immigration patrols

Lawsuit against the State of Arizona over HB 1070 now in the hands of the Supreme Court

Sue the State of Florida for attempting to purge dead and illegal voters from their voter registration rolls

Deal with the subsequent counter-suit from the State of Florida over the DOJ’s frivolous lawsuit

Anti-trust lawsuit against Apple and other eBook sellers

Sue Texas, South Carolina and other states over state voter ID laws

Potential contempt charges

… and then there’s those pesky national security leaks that he has to deal with.

The Department of Justice seems to be quite busy creating crime and stirring up lawsuits at a time when the department itself claims annual crime data shows a decrease in crimes across the nation.

Attorney General Eric Holder may need to take some time off.  Perhaps he should follow the request of Texas Senator John Cornyn and others who have called on Holder to resign his post.

Chavez Lovefest & the Medal of Honor

Never missing an opportunity to praise socialists, President Obama awarded Honorary Chair of the Democratic Socialists of America Dolores Huerta with the Medal of Freedom, traditionally the highest civilian honor bestowed upon American citizens.

Huerta, who works under the direction of Labor Secretary (and open borders advocate) Hilda Solis, has spent a lifetime praising socialists and communists like Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez. She pals around with other socialists and communists like Jodie Evans of Code Pink, Van Jones and terrorist Bill Ayers.

Ayers is significant in the love affair with Hugo Chavez in many ways.  For one, Ayers spoke at the World Economic Forum in Caracas in 2006 and praised Chavez for the Bolivarian revolution claiming that Venezuela was leading the world to “fundamental change” in education. Remember, it was in Bill Ayers’ living room that Barack Obama got his political start.

New Medal of Freedom recipient Dolores Heurta seems to have quite the affinity for President Chavez as seen in a video here at the

Chavez, a self-proclaimed socialist well on his way to communism, has been writing the playbook for the Obama administration by expropriating private business and industries like food and energy production.  Shortly after Chavez forced privately owned Minneapolis-based Cargill to turn over its rice mill to the Venezuelan government, GM  and Chrysler fell victim to the same fate in America.  Chavez has also taken control of other private businesses like Hilton Hotels, steel production and the banking industry.

Huerta has made a lifelong career of forcing union demands on American companies and taxpayers.  She is co-founder of the United Farm Workers’ Union, has worked with AFL-CIO and has led protests, walkouts and boycotts on American industries.

Hugo Chavez must be proud to know her.  In 2009, Chavez took a page out of Huerta’s playbook and told oil industry workers in Venezuela that if they refuse to join the state-run unions they would be fired from their jobs.

It seems socialists all have the same agenda, control everything and tell the people it’s for their own good.  Now that’s freedom for ya.

Are you on a “Block-List?”

As of late, conservatives have been dominating social media platforms including Twitter.  In 140 characters or less, conservatives have managed to get deep under the skin of the progressives using the site and in retaliation, it seems, some Twitter users from the left are creating “blocklists” to automatically get conservatives’ accounts suspended.

If you are conservative and using Twitter, you may be on a “blocklist.”

Chris Loesch is one such unlucky conservative who had his account suspended twice in one hour.  Apparently, Mr. Loesch got into a heated Twitter discussion with progressives who were threatening and harassing his wife Dana, who works for the Breitbart empire.

A group of “tweeps” from the left banded together and “spam blocked” Loesch’s account activating the automatic suspension tool woven into the Twitter technology.  If enough people click the “Block for Spam” button on an account, the user is suspended without warning.

Loesch’s initial suspension was less than 30 minutes old when the hashtag #FreeChrisLoesch started trending.  A conservative army of followers heard of the suspension and “flash mobbed” twitter with an outpouring of support for Loesch.  His account was reinstated only to have the very same thing happen minutes later.

Rumors on Twitter and other social media sites suggest that there are other conservatives who are being “targeted” not for actual spam, but for being conservative.  There are lists floating around that encourage Twitter users to abuse the auto-suspension tool to silence those who disagree politically.

If you have seen or can link to any such lists, DM me on Twitter.  This story isn’t over yet.
