UPDATE: Clinton assembles legal defense team

ABC News reports on 9/20/12 that Clinton was unaware of al Qaeda link to attack
http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/hillary-clinton-info-amb-chris-stevens-al-qaeda/story?id=17282653#.UIgHn46xpVg

After weeks of administration officials blaming an anti-Islamic YouTube video for the attacks on the US consulate in Benghazi, new documents obtained by multiple news outlets now prove beyond doubt that Secretary Hillary Clinton was aware of the situation within 2 short hours of the onset of weapons fire on the consulate.

Shortly after 4:00PM on September 11, 2012, emails from the consulate detailing the extreme nature of the attack were sent to some 200+ intelligence, State Department and White House officials, including the Situation Room. By 6:07PM, the email communications clearly indicated that Al Qaeda-linked Ansar al-Sharia had claimed responsibility for the attack.

Email addresses indicate that without doubt that @state.gov (State Department) and @nss.EOP.gov (Executive Office of the President) received the communications. Also included in the “send to” line are the FBI, the Director of National Intelligence and a person at the Defense Department.

New reports out this morning show that Secretary of State Clinton assembled a legal team to be prepared for any fallout with the Obama administration that would attempt to place blame on the Secretary.

In the weeks following the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Secretary Clinton and others in the administration pushed the narrative that a YouTube video prompted riots that got out of control for the cause of the attack. Clinton and President Obama stood side by side when addressing the nation condemning the video and blaming an American citizen for the deaths of the ambassador, 2 US marines and another American. The president spoke to the UN, appeared on The View and David Letterman shows and gave campaign speeches that continued to push that narrative for weeks after the attack. On September 28, 2012, Press Secretary Jay Carney finally told media that there was “no doubt that [the attack] was an act of terror.”

SHOCK REPORT: White House Knew 2 Hours After Attack

In a shocking revelation, Reuters is reporting tonight that both White House and State Department officials were told that the attack in Benghazi, Libya that resulted in the deaths of 4 Americans was a coordinated act of terror by the group called Ansar al-Sharia.

According to Reuters, this alarming new information was obtained from emails provided by an anonymous government source.

“The brief emails also show how U.S. diplomats described the attack, even as it was still under way, to Washington.”

For a thorough timeline of the events of September 11, 2012, see Boston.com.

This breaking news is significant because President Obama, Secretary of State Clinton and UN Ambassador Susan Rice initially claimed the attacks were the result of protests due to a YouTube film. These newly discovered emails confirm that these three individuals were lying to the American people, the media and the United Nations in the days following the Benghazi attack.

UPDATE: Hillary Clinton Has Legal Team Assembled

Obama Slips, “My Current Vice President”

Lost in the chatter of horses and bayonets is a small, seemingly insignificant, slip of the tongue by the president.

The third and final debate between Governor Mitt Romney and President Obama focused on foreign policy and was largely uneventful but for the occasional snarky remark. One exchange, though, could actually be a revealing sound bite.

When discussing the meetings with senior administration officials about the Osama Bin Laden raid, President Obama quips, “Those decisions generally are not poll-tested. And even some in my own party, including my current vice president, had the same critique…”

“Current” Vice President?

With his blatant gaffes and questionable behavior at the Vice Presidential debate, perhaps VP Joe Biden is temporary in the eyes of the current president?

UN To Monitor America’s Elections

The Hill has reported the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), a UN affilate, will send monitors from several nations to the United States to observe and report on the November 6th election.

When the ACLU, Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and the NAACP met with the UN group this week, members complained about voter integrity laws and right-leaning organizations. According to the Hill report, the leftwing “civil rights” groups sent a letter to senior official Daan Everts which read in part that the monitoring was necessary because of “a coordinated political effort to disenfranchise millions of Americans — particularly traditionally disenfranchised groups like minorities.”

The Hill report fails to confirm who within the federal government approved the request to have the OSCE monitor the United States’ November election, though the group has been monitoring member states’ elections since 1990.

As Minnesota has recently been exposed as a very easy state in which to commit voter fraud, and because there is a heated battle between left and right over whether or not the state should institute photo identification at the polls, the following was sent to Secretary of State Mark Ritchie office for comment.

The Hill reported today that the international monitors will be at US polling locations (as they have done in the past) on November 6th.

1. How does Secretary Ritchie feel about the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), a UN organization, monitoring elections in the US?

2. Wille there be any monitoring by the OSCE in Minnesota? Which precincts? Will that information be made public so that poll watchers and election judges are aware?

3. The report indicates that the UN group will also be monitoring other aspects of the election process. If in Minnesota, will the monitors be accessible to media? Will surrogates for candidates, campaigns or political parties be allowed to monitor the international monitors?

4. Is Secretary Ritchie satisfied with the current system in Minnesota and confident it is devoid of fraud, election integrity issues and/or voter suppression?

Despite both email and telephone attempts, no reply has been received.

But… There Is No Voter Fraud, Right?

The most common argument heard from those against voter integrity laws is that “there is no voter fraud.” Here’s a short list from the last 2 years that proves their theory wrong… dead wrong.

Arkansas – Two and one half hours prior to Former President Bill Clinton took the stage at the Democrat National Convention, a Police Official, Democratic State Representative, a City Councilwoman were arrested in an absentee balloting scandal in Clinton’s home state of Arkansas. Since that date, those three and 5 others have been charged with 45+ counts related to voter fraud.

Iowa – State Police arrested 3 individuals for allegedly committing voter fraud. 2 Canadian nationals and 1 Mexican national now face charges.

Maryland – Democratic Congressional Candidate Wendy Rosen dropped out of her race for state office when it was revealed she had voted twice in 4 elections, once in person and the other via absentee ballot.

Massachusetts – Jack Villamaino, a selectmen in East Longmeadow and former candidate for State Representative, and his girlfriend have been charged with at least 9 counts of absentee voter fraud.

Florida – The Tampa Bay Times reports a school board member Abra Hill Johnson, Supervisor of Elections Jada Woods Williams and 7 others have been part of a large absentee voting scandal. Johnson won her seat on the school board by just 28 votes.

Texas – Fort Bend County Commissioner’s Court candidate and Republican Precinct Chairman Bruce Fleming has cast ballots in both Texas and Pennsylvania in the last three federal elections.

All of the above cases have taken place in recent years, yet opponents to voter integrity laws will continue to claim there is no voter fraud. As if the above cases weren’t proof enough, the culture of cheating in America has become rampant. Evidenced in undercover videos released by Project Veritas, voter fraud isn’t just possible, it’s happening. And far too many are turning a blind eye.

Obama Campaign Office Closed

The Houston Obama for America Office has now been shut down
after Project Veritas video releases voter fraud investigation.

James O’Keefe, the citizen journalist best known for his investigation into the unsavory practices by ACORN employees, has been investigating voter registration fraud and the ability to cheat in American elections. He began by visiting registration locations in multiple states and attempting to register Tim Tebow and Tom Brady. In one case, a Project Veritas undercover journalist successfully received a ballot in Eric Holder’s name.

The latest string of videos exposes Obama for America and DNC staff and volunteers encouraging voter fraud. In the first video released October 10, Regional Field Director of Houston OFA headquarters Stephanie Caballero provides an undercover journalist with the paperwork necessary to vote absentee in Florida even though the reporter has indicated she will also vote in Texas. Caballero was fired within days of the video’s release.

The Houston OFA office has now been closed, according to local news reports.

In the second video released by Project Veritas, O’Keefe shows a pattern of behavior at OFA offices throughout the country that encourages illegal election practices and highlights the story of a woman who is able to vote in both Minnesota and Florida, despite repeated attempts to be removed from the Florida rolls.

O’Keefe has suggested that there may be more videos in the coming weeks. Online news sources such as The Daily Caller, Michelle Malkin, Media Matters and others have weighed in on the videos. Will your local news station cover the story? Is your state involved? Why is there a culture of cheating throughout the Obama campaign staff? Will your congressperson or senator respond to these videos? With only a few weeks until the November 6th election, will this critical investigation have an impact on the outcome?

Not Just Possible, Voter Fraud is Easy

UPDATE: Houston Obama for America Office closed following the firing of Field Director

Like most college aged young women, Erin Jones was a registered Democrat by default. She thought she was being compassionate. She thought it was “the right thing to do.” She was proud to walk into the Hillsborough County Office of the Supervisor of Elections, show her driver’s license and register to vote. Little did she know that she would remain registered at that location for more than 14 years despite marrying and changing her name, moving multiple times, registering in 2 other states and repeatedly requesting Erin Jones be removed from the Florida voter registration database.

In 1998, I married and took my husband’s last name. Shortly after, our young family moved out of Hillsborough County. We lived on the other coast of Florida for a few years, moved to Alabama for 5 years and then settled in Minnesota in 2008. Upon each move I registered to vote at my new address, always assuming that any previous registration would expire and knowing that I could no longer vote in a place I didn’t live. I considered myself to be an independent voter and cared very little about party affiliation. I just wasn’t all that concerned with politics.

Throughout the years, my parents, who still reside in Florida, would occasionally receive election information in the mail addressed to Erin Jones. Assuming it was a simple mistake, they would usually discard it. At least twice between 1999 and 2008, I called the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections and asked to be removed from their lists. But in the summer of 2008, my parents began to receive considerably more mail for Erin Jones and some of it looked rather “official.”

My parents decided to forward the mail they received to my new home in Minnesota. There were campaign literature pieces from Democratic candidates. There were sample ballots for the primary and general elections. In the summer of 2008, I made yet another phone call to the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections. I begged the clerk who answered to please take me off the rolls. I explained that I hadn’t lived in Tampa for many years and how my name wasn’t even Jones anymore. I begged to be removed for fear that someone would try to vote in my name or worse, steal my identity. I was assured that I wouldn’t have to make this call again and that I would indeed be removed from the Florida voter registration database.

By the summer of 2008 I had become much more politically active. I started reading the news and investigating issues I felt would directly impact me and my growing family. I became concerned with which party affiliation truly represented my values. I became even more intrigued by voter registration policies and reflected on my own experience. Convinced that voter fraud was easier to accomplish than most would care to admit, I chose to become a poll watcher. I wanted to do a small part to ensure the integrity of elections.

I was so stunned by what I experienced on election day 2008 that I wrote about it for Examiner.com. Far from an isolated incident, I began revealing more shady election and voter registration practices in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

It became clear; voter fraud isn’t just possible, it’s easy.

Fast forward three and a half years to the summer of 2012. To my parents’ surprise, they again received election information for Erin Jones from Hillsborough County. We were all shocked to find that an official Voter Information Card, issued to Erin Jones with my previous address, was mailed directly to my parents’ home more than 100 miles from Tampa.

How could I still be on the voter registration rolls in Florida after not living or voting in the state for many years? How is it possible to be registered in two states? Why hadn’t I been removed, as requested, from the database? Why was the Hillsborough Country Supervisor of Elections sending election information to an address clear across the state? My curiosity took hold. I wanted to know if this voter identification card would allow me to receive an absentee ballot. Of course I didn’t actually want a ballot, I just wanted to know if it was possible. Being that I am registered to vote in Minnesota, this card could conceivably make it possible to vote in both states. Surely it couldn’t be this easy to vote twice, right?

I again phoned the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections. A nice gentleman answered the call and seemed knowledgable of the absentee voting process. I told him I had received my voter registration card and provided my voter identification number (FVRS#). When I asked what the process is to receive a ballot, the clerk informed me that I would simply need to let them know I wanted one. He suggested I call about 29 days before election day. The conversation concluded with me saying that if I intended to vote absentee, I would happily call back.

Imagine my parents’ disbelief when in their mailbox they find an Official Absentee Ballot addressed to Erin Jones. They promptly sent it to me, not wanting to throw it in the trash and risk someone else using it to vote using my information.

Obviously I won’t be voting twice. But I can’t be the only person who has tried to be removed from the Florida voter rolls without success. I simply can’t be the only person with this or a similar situation that allows double voting. What of the people who don’t know that they are still in the Florida voter database? And what if the mail wasn’t going to my parents’ home? What if some random person was receiving my personal registration information and chose to vote on my behalf without my knowing it?

Florida has been riddled with election integrity issues since the 2000 presidential election that left “hanging chads” the determining factor for who would be named President. Since that time, the state has had more than its share of problems. Most recently, Florida has tried to clean up their voter rolls, purging ineligible registrants, but the state has faced backlash from the Federal Department of Justice. Lawsuits have been threatened and filed by both the State of Florida and by the DOJ creating a messy situation just weeks before a closely contested presidential election.

Using the federal immigration database, Florida was able to remove over 200 non-US citizens from its rolls in early September, but obviously the purge was far from complete. There are definitely people still on the rolls who are ineligible to vote in Florida.

The question now becomes, “how do we fix the problem?” Though it’s highly unlikely anything can be done to ensure the integrity of the 2012 presidential election, this issue must be addressed and solved if the United States is to hold fair and honest elections in the future.

ACORN, SEIU and Now Obama For America

James O’Keefe, who made headlines for his undercover investigations of ACORN and SEIU, has released the first video in a reportedly bombshell series of investigations into voter registration fraud and unlawful election practices by the president’s reelection campaign, Organizing for America.

The video clearly exposes a paid employee of OFA in Texas helping an undercover journalist to vote twice.

In an email sent to supporters, O’Keefe asks for donations so his organization, The Project Veritas, is able to release the rest of the reports. O’Keefe claims to have evidence of election rules violations in five different states.

Pulitzer Winner Arrested

Pulitzer Prize winning author and illegal immigrant Jose Antonio Vargas was arrested Friday in Minneapolis, MN, but was promptly released by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers the same day.

Click here for more on who Vargas is & his immigration story.

According to reports, Vargas was stopped by police on Interstate 35W for driving while wearing headphones. Officers then learned that the Washington drivers license Vargas was using was invalid and therefore called ICE. According to a Star Tribune article, the license was cancelled due to fraudulent activity. The nature of the fraudulent activity was not revealed in the report.

Vargas spent approximately 3 hours in the Hennepin County Jail and the rental car he was driving was towed. He will not face illegal immigration charges.

Vargas at one time also held an Oregon license, a fraudulent social security card and passport, and has used false addresses to obtain identification. (CDN) Vargas has held jobs at The Huffington Post, The Washington Post and The San Francisco Chronicle, founded the Define American organization, travels the country frequently by plane and participates in other activities that require identification. He appears on MSNBC often, has been a guest on Fox News Channel and gives speeches on college campuses. How is it that he is able to so freely move about the country with fraudulent identification?

ICE spokeswoman Gillian Christensen told the LA Times, “ICE is focused on smart, effective immigration enforcement that prioritizes the removal of public safety threats, recent border crossers and egregious immigration law violators…”

One U.S. congressman is speaking out against Vargas and the flawed and inconsistent immigration policies that have allowed Vargas to make a mockery of America’s laws.

Representative Elton Gallegly (R-CA) said in an interview with POLITICO, “He is just one of thousands that are ignored, and what that does it, it sends a signal that we’re not serious about certain laws.”

In his mini-autobiography in Time magazine last year, Vargas admitted to breaking several state and federal laws attempting to justify his illegal activity by saying, “I was paying state and federal taxes…”

Though Vargas will not face illegal immigration charges for his latest run-in with the law, he is scheduled to appear in court on October 18 for the misdemeanor traffic violation.

The Debate #Fail No One is Talking About

It’s no surprise Obama lost the debate, even for his own campaign.

The Obama camp floated the idea that the president would be under-prepared for the debate early last week. Jim Messina, arguably the brains behind the president’s campaign strategy, had a nationwide campaign conference call outlining just that. Even the president himself joined the call & jabbed that Romney is far more proficient in debate performance. Mr. Messina commented that the president has been “doing his job” which doesn’t leave much time for debate practice. (Clearly high donor fundraisers, stumping in Vegas and photo ops with Beyonce are quite time consuming, but I digress.) One has to assume media traveling with the president were on the call that included Obama for America Field Directors from across the nation. The media, now acting shocked at the outcome, was well aware for at least a week that Obama would likely not be the debate winner.

More than just ill prepared, Obama failed his own plan B.

Knowing the possibility was there that the president would perform poorly, surely the campaign had a plan B, right? And in typical progressive fashion, it was time to play the victim card.

This administration, the Obama campaign and those on the progressive left have long used victimhood as a means to gain favor and earn votes. Whether it’s a stump speech centered around the sad story of a crumbling bridge, or at the State of the Union address claiming to read letter after letter from suffering people, or an entire Democratic National Convention pandering to the manufactured hardships of the war on women, the progressive left wins when they play the victim card.

Now, I don’t claim to have definitive inside knowledge, but I would be willing to bet, looking at the full scale attacks from leftwing media pundits and campaign spokespeople, that Team Obama fully intended to play the victim card following the debate. In fact, Obama’s Deputy Campaign Manager Stephanie Cutter’s first interview sounded like a carefully memorized berating of Jim Lehrer saying, “I sometimes wondered if we even needed a moderator…”

As if marching to a synchronized drumbeat, MSNBC pundits, ABC and CBS talking heads and others on the left immediately flashed the victim card claiming Lehrer had lost control of the debate. Some even went so far as to claim Romney was given an unfair amount of time to speak, though it was confirmed later on CNN that the president had actually spoken 4 minutes longer than Romney.

I think the president fully expected to be grilled by the moderator. I think the plan was to pander to the audience, play victim as much as possible, tug on heartstrings & when in doubt, blame those darn republicans. But I also think Obama was stunned to learn 10 minutes into the debate that the plan was foiled. Romney’s use of facts, history and his obvious passion (which had been lacking in the campaign to this point) rendered the president listless. He was simply unable recover without a teleprompter & pre-written speech. Obama was so off his game and bewildered that he sounded like the Miss Teen USA contestant that went completely off the rails when trying to explain why kids couldn’t find America on a map. When asked about the economy his answer was about education and medicare, when asked about deficits or taxes, his talking points were off-point and irrelevant.

Obama failed to effectively make the case that he is a victim and thus failed to gain control of the post-debate narrative.

More Than Dialect

If Obama speaks and no one is listening, what does he sound like?

The ‘bombshell’ video released on The Daily Caller showcasing then-Senator Obama’s propensity to change his cadence to impress his audience is revealing on many levels.

How does a man who was born in Hawaii, raised in large part in Indonesia, returns to Hawaii and then proceeds to acquire an ivy league education manage to obtain a southern accent?

The video clearly shows Obama speaking in a dialect and cadence that is patently different from what he sounds like just days later when speaking to media. But a southern preacher’s tone isn’t the only dialect we should question.

According to Obama’s own book, his mother woke him at 4:00 am each day to teach him English before he went to school in Indonesia. (NYT) He spent his formative years, from age 7 to nearly 5th grade in Indonesia. Does he also have an Indonesian accent? If not, why not? If so, why haven’t we heard it?

After receiving his highly elite education at Punahou, the private boarding school in Hawaii, from 5th grade through high school graduation, why doesn’t Obama have a distinctly Hawaiian accent? Is there one?

Finally, after living in Boston while at Harvard, why haven’t we heard him drop a few “r’s” every once in a while? He obviously has a habit of picking up accents to mirror his audience.

The truth seems blatantly obvious. The president is more an actor than he is a leader and will tell his audience what they want to hear. He’ll say it in an accent to which they can relate in order to gain applause. His lies are beginning to bury him. The question now becomes, “will any of this affect the November 6th election?” We’ll know in 33 days.

The Hope and The Change, A Review

130 million homes, 7 key battleground states, the largest cable distribution of a political film in history… Could The Hope and The Change impact the November 6th presidential election? David Bossie and Stephen Bannon not only think it’s possible, they’re hoping for it.

David Bossie of Citizens United and Stephen Bannon of Victory Film Group have teamed up to present a game-changing political film that defies the typical rules of documentaries. Without endless tape of sob stories, pouring over boring statistics or shocking viewers with graphic photos, The Hope and The Change takes viewers into the lives of typical Americans throughout the country. It features 40 Obama voters who are registered Democrats or left-leaning independents. Their stories are compelling and relevant. They will affect you, and they will cause you to examine why you vote the way you do, regardless of political affiliation.

Bannon, the film’s director, says, “We wanted to show the real stories of real people… so we chose 40 democrats and independents, people who had voted for Obama in 2008, to tell their stories.”

The film took a year to complete with much of the pre-production work centered around polling and choosing the cast. Bannon chose Pat Caddell and Chandra Stewart, popular democrats, to lead that effort saying, “It was so important that we chose credible people to make this film. I think we achieved that.”

For conservatives, the film is almost a “told ya so” moment, but for Bannon, that’s not the intent. He says this film’s desired audience is the neighbor or friend who is having a little buyer’s remorse, someone who thought they were doing the right thing in voting for Obama. It’s for the grandmother who thought Obama would help her Medicare situation or the trucker who thought his business would thrive under lower gas prices. The Hope and The Change reminds everyone of the failed agenda and broken promises, but also offers true hope for a better future. In a sense, the film is giving these former Obama supporters permission to make a change.

The Hope and The Change has launched a massive ad campaign that spans the gamut of cable channels and will be aired multiple times throughout the last weeks of the campaign. The hour-long film, which will be in more than 130 million homes throughout the US and in key battleground states, could be a game-changer.

Another Bannon/Bossie collaboration, Occupy Unmasked, hits theaters this week and is sure to be a controversial end to the amazing life of Andrew Breitbart who is prominently featured in the film. Read more here: Occupy Unmasked

Occupy Unmasked

“For those who’ve been paying attention, this film is an affirmation. For those who haven’t, it’s a revelation.” – Stephen Bannon, CEO of Victory Film Group and close personal friend of the late Andrew Breitbart

Stephen Bannon, producer of the popular documentary Undefeated, teamed up with Citizens United and Andrew Breitbart to “rip the mask off” the Occupy movement.

In a theater near you is arguably the best work, and potentially most important work, of the late Andrew Breitbart. His last documentary, Occupy Unmasked, takes everything you think you know about the Occupy movement and turns it on its head. Through video evidence, documented proof and exposed email chains, Breitbart walks the viewer through the Occupy camps and rips the mask off the perceived intent of the protests to reveal the truly dark nature of the movement.

“This is not a bunch of college kids and hippies putting this thing together,” says Bannon. “Below the surface is a very dark, very ugly and very dangerous group of people.”

The film begins with nearly 4 minutes of media clips taking the viewer back to 2011, reminding us of the national conversation about America’s debt, the deficit and the debt ceiling debates that dominated the news cycles. The media would have you believe the Occupy movement grew out of disdain for government spending, that “largely peacefully” protests broke out all over the country in response to runaway debt. But only 2 minutes later the viewer will realize that media spin couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Just beyond the violence and chaos, drug use and property destruction, defecating on police cars and multiple rapes, are the Occupy organizers.

“They managed to change the narrative. Their goal is to create chaos, destroy the system,” continues Bannon. “They want to create anarchy, put the system in crisis and from crisis gain power.”

Occupy organizers were able to change the public conversation from cutting deficits and cutting spending to public outcry over income inequality. They created a narrative around class differences neatly packaged into a “haves versus the have nots” theme. This was no grassroots groundswell of otherwise unlikely political activists. Occupy is a well-crafted, carefully calculated strategy to dominate the national conversation to change America and eventually change the world. Occupy Unmasked proves this beyond doubt.

So who are the power-hungry, highly financed, media-connected Occupy organizers? Why did one such organizer, Malcolm Harris, a self-described communist, trick thousands of people into believing the band Radio Head would be performing at Zuccotti Park? Who is the New York Times writer who helped him? How are employee unions involved? Why is this group still organized, protesting and occupying? What are the real goals of the occupiers and what are the goals of the organizers?
