Lady Gaga Could Hijack Super Bowl Halftime Show to Make Anti-Trump Political Statement

Today’s big showdown between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons will cap off a wildly controversial and underwhelming NFL season. Whichever team emerges from the clash of offensive titans at Houston’s NRG Stadium to hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy, it is likely that America will come out of the game having been more divided by the left’s ongoing temper tantrum over the election of President Donald Trump.

The left has been driven into madness by the shocking loss of Hillary Clinton, as sure a thing since the unbeatable 18-0 New England Patriots whose dreams of perfect season were left in ruins after one of the greatest sports upsets of all time ten years ago. While Pats fans sucked it up and got over it, the same can’t be said about the Hillary dead-enders who have taken to the streets in the delusional hope that the results of a legitimate election can still be reversed even after Trump has been sworn in.

One of the celebrity whiners who is with the so-called “resistance” is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta aka Lady Gaga who will be performing during the big game’s halftime extravaganza. It is notable that the pop superstar was one of the most ardent supporters of the piranha in the pantsuit and showed up at a campaign rally in garb that bore a striking resemblance to that of the Nazi Gestapo. Gaga also joined the post-election efforts of embittered sore losers demanding a reversal of the Electoral College which in their infinite ignorance was denounced as illegitimate because Clinton won the popular vote. So much for civics.

Now Gaga has a shot to make a big time political statement against President Trump in front of what is normally the most watched television event of the year when she struts her stuff after the second quarter gun has sounded. She is going to take full advantage of this historic opportunity to emerge as another leader of the anti-Trump movement.

According to a report from ESPN “Lady Gaga: Super Bowl halftime show will uphold philosophies of inclusion, equality”:

Lady Gaga said she did not want to give away many specifics about her 13-minute Super Bowl halftime performance, including whether she will make a political statement during the show.

When asked if she would try to “unify America” with her halftime show, Gaga said her performance will fall in line with the philosophies of inclusion and equality that she has championed throughout her career.

“I don’t know if I will succeed in unifying America — you’ll have to ask America when it’s over,” Gaga said. “But the only statements that I’ll be making during the halftime show are the ones that I have been consistently making throughout my career. I believe in a passion for inclusion. I believe in the spirit of equality. And the spirit of this country is one of love and compassion and kindness. So my performance will uphold those philosophies.”

She later added, “I think that music is one of the most powerful things the world has to offer. No matter what race or religion or nationality, sexual orientation, gender that you are, it has the power to unite us. So this performance is for everyone.”

If Gaga uses the platform to send a political message, she wouldn’t be the first performer in recent years to do so. During the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, Beyoncé appeared to make a political statement on racism and police brutality while performing her single “Formation.”

It’s one thing to use her forum as a showcase for inclusiveness and diversity, both of which fill the overflowing Kool Aid vats in the La La Land of liberal identity politics but what if the singer has something bigger in mind?

Just imagine what a call for a rebellion against Trump would do in terms of lighting a match to the powder keg of anti-Trump animosity that exists and to do it on the biggest stage in the world.

The organized left as embodied by the institutional Democratic party has seen its shock troops become increasingly violent as the riot at UC Berkeley over the performance of controversial social critic Milo Yiannopoulos last week made clear. Anarchists lit fires, beat up innocent bystanders and successfully closed down the venue in a triumph of the intolerance of the totalitarian left. It wouldn’t take much for thousands more to embrace acts of mayhem if a celebrity icon would encourage it during the Super Bowl halftime show.

While it’s probably unlikely that Gaga will go totally rogue by inciting angry mobs to rebel – which is possibly a federal crime – it is not outside the realm of possibility given how Trump Derangement Syndrome is raging through the left like a forest fire.  She could however deliver the establishment message to a huge audience that Trump’s America first stance is unacceptable and his policies are racist, talking points directly out of the Clinton campaign playbook. This is a meme that has been given great currency by the mainstream media which is out to destroy Trump with extreme prejudice and isn’t going to stop until the deed has been done.

The NFL itself may very soon rue the day that they provided a global forum for a zealot who refuses to accept the will of the people and the results of an election and who serves a loser in Mrs. Clinton who continues to act as though she is the head of an opposition government. The league was subjected to months of negative publicity by the failure to deal with militant San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick whose refusal to stand for the national anthem transformed him into a hero for radical leftists. While the oppressed millionaire’s contempt for the country and the cops landed him on the cover of Time Magazine and earned high praise from liberal pundits, many Americans discovered that they had something better to do with their time on Sunday afternoon.

The NFL experienced a shocking decline in television ratings that were at least partially attributable to Kaepernick’s ongoing spitting on the flag, affiliation with the racist Black Panther party and praise of deceased Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. Many conservatives vowed to boycott NFL games rather than be force fed ideology mixed with their escapism. For a few hours a week the games offered a respite from the grind of daily life and tumult of society and Kaepernick – with a big assist from the NFL – made sure that wasn’t going to happen in 2016.

A grand political statement from Lady Gaga would in a way be an appropriate bookend to the NFL’s season of woe that kicked off with Kaepernick’s preseason snit and could trigger a ratings death spiral that could result in Commissioner Roger Goodell losing his job which is long overdue.

The league denied reports that it warned Gaga about making any overt political statements but when dealing with a celebrity egomaniac and Clinton loyalist anything short of pulling the plug wouldn’t be a guarantee that the nightmare scenario could be averted. While an overt call to arms against Trump or even a covert shot at him through calls for “inclusion” and “equality” may be ratings Armageddon for the NFL and its corporate sponsors, she would be hailed as a hero on Monday for such a “courageous” stance by the mercenary media.
