DHS and FBI Release Propaganda .. er.. Joint Report on Alleged Russian Hacking

DHS and the FBI released a joint analysis report (JAR) of the Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential election, but the report .. is a bunch of nothing.

In the report, the government asserts that two unnamed, anonymous actors referred to as APT28 and APT29 did hacker type stuff, because Obama administration says they did. The report offers no proof that anyone did anything – only the government saying that it happened.

The U.S. Government confirms that two different RIS [Russian Intelligence Services] actors participated in the intrusion into a U.S. political party. The first actor group, known as Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) 29, entered into the party’s systems in summer 2015, while the second, known as APT28, entered in spring 2016.

Remember that if any damage was done to Hillary from cyber intrusion, it was due to a Wikileaks phishing attack where Podesta was tricked into giving them his username and password and they used that information to download all of his emails.

There was a separate intrusion into the DNC email system where the Democratic party gaming the nomination away from Bernie Sanders was also released by … you guessed it .. Wikileaks.

So… where is the handoff from Russia to WikiLeaks? Not in this report.

The majority of the “report” is actually filled with steps organizations can take to prevent an intrusion (7 pages). One page is a summary, 2 pages of details (that say nothing) and then a one-page list of known Russian Intelligence Service names followed by 12 pages of “how not to get hacked” and a one-page contact sheet.

This is flimsy at best and deceptive at worst.

Obama does not want to have to admit that he is the worst leader of the Democratic party in recent history as he has led his party to staggering congressional losses, historical gubernatorial losses and now a Presidential loss that no one expected.

If this is the evidence that the President of the United States used to kick Russian diplomats out of the country and close their facilities, he is in danger of looking like a spoiled brat, throwing a temper tantrum and then blaming a sibling for his actions.

See the report for yourself and see if you can find an actual smoking gun in this propaganda rag (or HERE if embedded copy does not show up):
