Profiling: It’s Just Common Sense

Because of the Zimmerman trial there has been much talk about profiling, it seems that profiling someone is wrong. Well you can call me a racist, or a bigot, or even a hater, but I see nothing wrong with profiling, as a matter of fact I believe it makes all the sense in the world. Whether it is racial profiling, gender profiling, age profiling or any other type of profiling, it seems to be common sense to me.

George Zimmerman was accused of racial profiling, in the past year before he shot Trayvon Martin there were six house break-ins at the complex where he lives, all done by black males. Therefore, someone is going to have to explain to me why, when Zimmerman sees an unidentified black male wearing a hoodie walking around the complex suspiciously, why should he not suspect him. After all, black males were responsible for a large number of the break-ins. His frustration with the high crime rate in Sanford, Florida, and the robberies in his neighborhood no doubt aggravated his need to profile the perpetrator he felt were victimizing his community.

After 9/11 we became aware that Muslims are at war with us and we with them, Muslims are responsible for 99% of all terrorist acts, so why is it not right to profile Muslims? Even though all the members of the 9/11 hit team were Muslims, and even though nearly every terrorist act over the past few decades can be traced to young Muslim males, we are supposed to pretend it’s just a coincidence?

Down on the Texas and Arizona borders 99% of all illegal aliens are Hispanic, so why is it not right to profile Hispanics? The reason, according to the P.C. crowd, is that we might offend someone and hurt their feelings, I guess security and safety take a back seat to hurting someone’s feelings these days. Even though it’s mainly Hispanics who are here illegally, nobody’s supposed to racially profile them. However, ask anyone what an illegal alien looks like, and, unless he’s prepared to lie, he’s going to say the guy looks an awful lot like a Mexican or a Guatemalan, not Irish.

Look, profiling, any kind of profiling whether it be racial, gender, age, or whatever, is just plain common sense. Some time ago Juan Williams who is one of the Liberal commentators on Fox admitted that when he is at the airport waiting to board a plane and he sees a group of people in Muslim dress waiting to get on the same plane he is getting on, he is a little nervous and concerned. By the way, that’s what got him fired from his job on NPR, a very, very Liberal organization, once again speaking the truth is a no no for Liberals.

There are facts the Liberals either totally ignore or refuse to admit. Some 90% of the victims of race crimes are Whites. Blacks commit 7.5 times more violent interracial crimes than Whites, although they comprise only one-seventh of the White population. On a per-capita basis, blacks commit 50 times more violent crimes than Whites. Some 27 million nonviolent crimes were committed in the U.S. in 1992 alone. 31% of the robberies involved Black offenders and White victims; only 2% involved White offenders and Black victims.

With all these facts, (of course Liberals don’t regard them as facts) I don’t think I am a racist or a bigot, if I see a black guy hanging around at the front of my house and I get worried and concerned, I am just using common sense.
