Press Release From GunMarch.com

After speaking with the Rolling Thunder Group and The National Park Service representative on April 5th 2013, The National Park Service will NOT issue us a separate permit to have our Second Amendment Rally at the Lincoln Memorial using Rolling Thunders stage in conjunction with the Rolling Thunder Freedom Ride even though the Rolling Thunder Organization was kind enough to allow us to use their stage pending a separate permit.

Plain and simple, The Obama Administration does not want us to be in Washington on May 25th to honor all of the brave veterans who died for the Bill Of Rights and is now violating our First Amendment Rights to assemble in a place of our choosing. The purpose of this event was to honor our Veterans on Memorial Day Weekend using the Lincoln Memorial as a back drop. I guess the Lincoln Memorial and the Reflecting Pool is only to be used for liberal causes these days.

The Rolling Thunder Freedom ride will still be taking place and gun owners could attend that event at the Lincoln Memorial if you so choose. The link for this event is below. It is a worthy cause so if you want to attend this event on May 26th please attend and support the Rolling Thunder Organization.

  1. How about we do it anyways? En force… I mean — what are they going to do lock up 10,000 people?

  2. Maybe Zippy would call out his new army for just such an event – it would send a hell of a message. Of course, I doubt he’d do that (now), but I don’t think he’d hesitate once we’re softened up a bit more with a few more Sandy Hook’s or Aurora’s. It’s still too early to appear physically abusive to the ‘masses.’ It’s enough (now)_that we’re considered dangerous – along with Al Quada – but at least Al Quada is being armed by Zippy! Oh, the irony!

  3. “The right of the people peaceably to assemble for the purpose of petitioning Congress for a redress of grievances, or for any thing else connected with the powers or the duties of the national government, is an attribute of national citizenship, and, as such, under the protection of, and guaranteed by, the United States. The very idea of a government, republican in form, implies a right on the part of its citizens to meet peaceably for consultation in respect to public affairs and to petition for a redress of grievances.”

    Show up anyway.
